Fall 2022 - ART 118 Vis Com - Completed Assignments (Traditional, Ink and Marker on Marker Paper and Toned Paper) I have always had a complex love hate relationship with ink and marker. I hate that it’s so precise and doesn’t leave room for mistakes but I also love how good they look photographed. The details make me happy. After this class, I feel like I’m leaning towards love more than hate. This is my final for cinematography class today. We had to go out and “Experiment” with an idea that excited us and make something out of it. I chose to make a practical ghost effect using a fish tank and a green screen. I had been wanting to do something like this ever since I saw it used by @kreaturekid in a video he created demonstrating this effect. You might say that I’m very INVESTED in this project. That’s a casting joke, this part of the process is called investing. Get it?!? I’m dipping all of these wax pieces my students made in a silica slurry and coating them with silica sand to create a ceramic shell. So excited!!! I was finally able to reorganize my studio and make a digital station instead on just station where I was always worried that my paints or clay would get on my digital items!! I reworked placement of things and now have the digital area set up. Next is hooking up the electricity and updating the desktop computer!!!! Ekkkkkkk so excited for the new year!!!
