Neat Bulbophyllum bloom at the local orchid society meeting. The little hairs flail around whenever there’s a breeze.

Back with more orchids in bloom!
Here we go:
First one is Phal. Yaphon Pink Lady
She smells amazing!
Next: Phal. Miki Black Angel
As of yet only one flower is open, I'll take more pics when she's in full bloom. She has some sunburns on the leaves from last year, but is doing fine.
Next up: more NoID Phalaenopsis. Also including the obligatory white phal. that one gets as standard flower gifts. I've kept this one, but gave a lot of others away.
And last: This awesome NoID, that is maybe an oncidium? I'm not sure, but she looks amazing.
And some more closeups of the orchids I bought in Vienna. Still doing good, so there was fortunately no cold damage. One was full of lice though, had to spay her down yesterday.

Indoor Orchid Care
Are you intrigued by the elegance of orchids but unsure where to start? Welcome to Orchid Zen! Click here for more expert tips Orchids may seem delicate, but with a bit of love and understanding, anyone can nurture these beautiful blooms.
Choosing Your Orchid: Begin your orchid journey by selecting the right type. Phalaenopsis orchids are perfect for beginners. Their resilient nature makes them forgiving, and they reward your care with breathtaking blossoms.
Light and Temperature: Orchids love bright, indirect light. Place them near a window, but shield them from harsh afternoon sun. Orchids thrive in temperatures between 65-75°F (18-24°C), making them ideal indoor companions.
Watering: Avoid overwatering; orchids dislike soggy roots. Let the top inch of the potting mix dry out before watering again. Use a spray bottle or soak the roots—your orchid will thank you for the moisture.
Feeding: During the growing season, feed your orchid with a balanced orchid fertilizer. Follow the instructions on the package for happy, healthy growth.
Remember, orchid care is an art, not a science. Enjoy the journey, and soon you'll be reveling in the beauty of your thriving orchid! 🌿

I made these three Pokémon based on a flower called the bee orchid: it’s this really cool flower that attracts male bees to it by imitating a female bee, causing the drone to try and mate with it, covering it in pollen during the process. It just screamed pokemon to me, so here they are! The one on the left is a grass and poison type, and it’s two possible evolutions on the right are grass/flying for the top right and poison/dragon for the bottom right. Those typings might change, and the designs as well. Honestly I’m not sure if I’ll include these in my new region or not, but they’re still cool. The idea is that they imitate bug types. Tada!

One of the Neato things about Bc Rustic Spots ‘H&R’ is that it’s one of those orchids where the bloom changes color as it ages! It will probably continue to turn more yellow/golden before it drops.
First picture was taken on 9/16, second is this morning 9/21!

Next up in my Orchid series:
Oncidium Sharry Baby Sweet Chocolate Fragrance
That's a mouthful...
But guess what? She does smell like Chocolate. Kinder chocolate, to be exact. That was a delightful surprise XD
She is also a massive Orchid and pretty new to my collection. She was already this big when I got her this summer, which was a surprise. I ordered her from an online nursery for about 15€. Thats really cheap here for a not standard sort Orchid this size. The others I got in the same order where absolutely dwarfed by this one, lol.
I had to instant repot her, though, because the pot she came in was NOT bigger that that of the other ones. Looked like a critically overfilled icecreamcone. Sadly don't have pictures of that.
