#peer review? peer support? p
you won't post 1 headcanon for every puppet. you wont
i WILL. AND i'll do it in chronological order from appearance (more or less). but it will be under a readmore after the first season so i dont interrupt anyones scrollin
The Professor: i think in addition to growing a bit from Dino DNA(tm) he also has feathers now. just some feathers in there with his fur. maybe even molts and is miserable about it
Death: he plays guitar And piano, but just as a hobby. he's like a salaryman who had a garage band as a teenager and never fully gave up on the dream
Propeller: propeller SADSTUCK: i think he legitimately had to go to therapy for the britannica shit that happened. PH feels like it would be that realistic about mental health tbh
Big Pile of Diamonds: his mustache is fake. his greatest secret. his greatest shame.
God: he actually really likes to dance! unfortunately next 2 no one will do it since... The Incident
Train: does he not have a better name... maybe put a mr. in front of there... anyway he feels betrayed by the U.S. since they gave up the train model for highways/interstates and the motorcar industry. gets REALLY heated about it
Mt. Vesuvius: has a bunch of speeches given by famous latin authors and orators memorized, but sometimes he mashes them up without realizing/misattributes which one was written by whom. old man moments
Hatshepsut's Goose: can't remember what their gender was in life. that's fine, they love being a nonbinary icon. AMAB (Assigned Mummy at (em)Balming)
Clipped Coin: dodges the spool's wrath by being unflappable and so down to earth despite his apparent success. truly the king of staying in his own lane
Olympic Torch: hes a cranky piece of shit and only really enjoys sporting competition. he was complaining about being in the group puzzle photo so god just picked him up and he went ffffffffffine. okay. ill smile for 2 seconds
Gay Oars: i think they Also went to therapy, mostly relationship counseling, and now they are back and better than Ever. unbreakable bond. im abt to pen a whole ass comic series about them getting married in purgatory
Policarpa's Spool: still thinks of himself as a spy type, but there's only so much spying he can do in... purgatory. of course, his primary nemesis is the treasure chest.
Lake Donner Snowman: idk if this counts as a headcanon per se but in my very short list where i recast the puppets as famous singers, he is ABSOLUTELY voiced by Weird Al Yankovic.
St. Nick's Wet Bones: sort of taking the whole purgatory thing in stride. he kinda feels like he's in retirement! now he's a minor agent of chaos who's looked after by his darling Pickle Boys
Beast of Gevaudan: i was so sad when the infinitiger wasn't real, i wanted them to have a cooking show together so badly and destroy the horse's self-esteem. i love him. hes so abominably french
Stool of Gold: well-traveled, well-read, literally just as sensible as the Book or the Oars, but finds the chaos entertaining to spectate.
Ziryab's Oud: I think that the puppets have divvied up the whole Wondrium Arena and all have designated Living Areas, and he has a whole dressing room filled with shitty costumes he can't even wear. every time someone knocks he answers like hes on MTV's Cribs.
Bye Bye Brothers: they live in the orchestral pit and treat it like a secret lair. only other Murderer Puppets are allowed in. EXCLUSIVE club
Flower Boat: GNC Icon. this is a flower boat stan account. jenuinely a wholesome, emotional vessel doing their best to pitch in.
Molasses Horse: you can wash him as much as you want, that shit always just comes back somehow. the book theorizes it's psychosomatic at this point, since they're technically only souls at this point.
Tiny Piece of Wheat: bro i bet they went through SUCH phases after finding out about the professor's death. like all five stages of grief and then four more that have not yet been discovered by humans. dw kiddo, u got Grandparents incoming
Emu: the type of guy to fistfight you and then help you up. laid back but ready to throw down at a MOMENT'S notice. has no beef with the Wheat, but generally avoids them to keep from any Upsets.
Treasure Chest: has a little list of get-rick-quick schemes he wants to test, but has no way to in purgatory. he has one braincell bouncing around in his head like the DVD logo
Scabs & Pus: they get to hang out with the Bye Bye Brothers in their little club :) they're gross dudes to look at and be around. but they are ultimately harmless and friendly and just happy to be included.
Book: i love da book. I think he lives in the music library backstage and finds librettos for stageplays/musicals to pitch to the group to put on, as well as produces their little TV shows.
Birch Trees: since they share a root system, they have a telepathic link and communicate without even speaking, which is fucking creepy as hell when one or both of them just start laughing out of nowhere. they probably enjoy acting sinister
Asmodeus: he worked HARD on his song for the show!!!!! i think he's a bit of a ham sometimes when he gets the chance. also his goat head bites literally anything that comes close on reflex.
The Devil: while everything he does is to get souls, it also feels like he wants for positive and is less an Enemy of God and more an Irritating Coworker. in my brain they have a whole Tom and Jerry thing going on.
I don't have anything for the Fake Puppets the Substitute impersonated, but im planning on drawing some infinitiger soon bc he was my fave for sure
The Substitute: this is PURELY crack but i think it would be hilarious if he had voice commands like some tech does. i want him to climb back in the window and ryan just yells XBOX TURN OFF and he vanishes.
Dino Dad/Dinosir: i think even after he gets to the present and learns about all kinds of rocks and gems and crystals he Still just loves a big old rock he can lay on and sun himself with. like a dad and his armchair. doesnt gotta be fancy, just has to be comfy.
Dino Mom/Dinosara: i think she would be REALLY into the fake tv shows the puppets in the Wondrium Arena make. and they'd probably Love to have her as a fan. i think both the professor's parents are Hella popular.

These "expert" pediatricians were paid by a far-right legal group to come up with evidence to attack the WPATH transgender standards of care
What this is: Leaked documents show the anti-LGBT legal group Alliance Defending Freedom paying manufactured experts to attack WPATH’s transgender standards of care, asking them to find evidence for harmful anti-trans myths that they knew were baseless and unsubstantiated. This is an original finding and report by Zinnia Jones (she/her), a transgender Florida resident of 11 years whose access to HRT is now jeopardized by the enactment of state law and policy based on work from these same experts.
Detailed summary: From 2019 onward, states across the US have been faced with an intensely active wave of reused anti-trans experts, recurring characters who keep repeating the same spurious arguments against gender-affirming care in court cases, legislatures, and other policy bodies. Where did they come from, and why did this start happening?
Due to the Florida-based anti-LGBT hate group American College of Pediatricians choosing to set one of their Google Drive folders to be publicly viewable by anyone, files were released this month showing the contents of their staff’s communications and other working notes over several years.
These documents included records of the Alliance Defending Freedom - another hate group who are also responsible for bringing the mifepristone case with ACP as a plaintiff - approaching ACP's leaders in 2018 and 2019 to offer them a grant of $10,000 or more. The ADF wanted the pediatricians “to draft a white paper that refutes the WPATH Standards of Care”, “for use in litigation and should also benefit many other allies at State and Federal Level”.
ACP’s president Quentin Van Meter and executive director Michelle Cretella promptly got to work on this “Special Project”, and the ADF hosted expert witness workshops at ACP's conferences. ACP members including Van Meter went on to present anti-trans testimony in several ADF-litigated cases and ADF-involved trans youth care bans.
In May 2022, Van Meter authored a sham report for Florida Medicaid to justify their trans coverage exclusion, mostly drawing from previous ACP position statements; court filings later revealed Michelle Cretella was recommended by the Florida governor’s office, and she pointed the way to all the other anti-trans experts hired by Florida in 2022 to support the Medicaid exclusion of transition care.
One notable document found in the ACP’s drive contains “Transgender Research Requests”, with the ADF asking Cretella and other ACP leaders to “substantiate” now-commonplace anti-trans talking points. These included bizarre claims by the ADF such as “it is normal during adolescence for children to go through a phase when they identify (to some degree) with the opposite sex”, and “For those who have undergone hormone therapy and genital change surgery, a paper that says they are no happier (and perhaps worse off if the research supports it)”.
The ADF was asking this anti-trans group to come up with anything that could support the arguments they were already planning to make.
This appears to be one of the very sites where those baseless myths about suicide, social contagion and other supposed harms, now regularly repeated in court cases and testimony and uncritically accepted by the mainstream right wing, were conceived and gestated.
These same experts then substantially reused these work products in their reports for Florida Medicaid, a public health agency whose accepted standards determination process is supposed to be a transparent and open-ended evaluation of peer-reviewed medical evidence.
Altogether, these documents appear to demonstrate a paid smear by a hate group and right-wing law firm against a leading professional transgender healthcare organization following the best available evidence and medical practices, as well as misconduct on the part of ACP experts who reused this work in their reports for a Florida public health agency.

Isabella Wayne (OC) x Bruce Wayne: MaleDom
AO3 VERSION
“Harls I love you, I do, but I can not listen to the same story for the fifth time,” Isabella Wayne is standing outside her apartment, keys in one hand, her mobile in the other, pressed to her ear. Harley had been talking her ear off nonstop ever since she’d left the Grocery Store - ‘Gotham’s a scary place Izzie, you gotta stay safe’, she didn’t realise the irony in that.
Bella pushes open her door, not expecting to see the lights already on, she has a moment of panic before she sees a familiar silhouette leaning on her kitchen counter.
She doesn’t acknowledge him, merely continuing to listen to the woman on the other side of the phone, and placing her shopping bag on the kitchen island, she starts to unpack and places two wine bottles down, the figure picks one up and inspects it, almost disgusted by the cheap alcohol.
“As entertaining as you are darling, I’m going to go drown myself in the bath with a bottle of wine,”
“You’re so rich,” she can feel Harley’s eye roll.
“Bye,” Isabella sings her farewells and hangs up, placing her phone on the counter, “I thought you of all people would be against breaking and entering,”
“I didn’t break anything, just entered,” Isabella’s husband shrugs “Who was that,” he gestures to her phone
“Oh don’t be jealous Brucie, she’s just a friend,” Bella winks and Bruce sighs
“Isabella-“
“You keep enough tabs on me Bruce, you could find out very easily,” she grumbles, opening the fridge to put away her small carton of milk.
“I thought maybe I’d give you a chance to be honest for once,” that stung, he knew it did and Bella turns away from him.
“Am I not allowed friends? Am I supposed to be imprisoned in my apartment, only seeing you and business associates, you don’t even look at me properly anymore,”
“I do,” he says firmly, but there’s something underlying like it’s something to be ashamed of “I’m sorry…” This happened a lot, he’d come over, and they’d bite at each other until someone cracked Bella sighs and joins him by the counter, crossing her arms and mirroring his position.
A moment passes, then another.
“It was Harley,”
“I know,” of course he did
“Why are you here Bruce?” Isabella asks, she looks up at the taller man, his jaw was as sharp as ever, but his stubble had grown past his old limit.
It takes him a minute to respond, battling with his thoughts, he tries to remember Isabella before Belle Reve, her kind eyes and calm demeanour, they were honest with each other then, or so he thought.
“I missed you,” he admits, placing his palms behind him.
“Me too,” she says quietly, looking right up at him, she places her hand on top of his and finally he turns to look at her, to properly look at her.
He isn’t sure how to feel about what he finds: she was still her with long blonde hair and determined brown eyes. She was still her.
He thinks maybe his life would be easier if she wasn’t.
“I still love you,”
“I know, me too,” with her response, Bruce cups his wife’s cheeks and pulls her in for a kiss. She responds instantly, moaning when he spins her around and pushes her against the kitchen island, his hands slip down her back and into her jeans, grabbing at the flesh of her ass while she grabs his arms for support.
“Bedroom?” she asks breathlessly, god he’d barely touched her and she needed him, in her defence, it’d been over a year since they’d been together.
Bruce pulls back, and looks her in the eyes “Are you sure?” she nods “Words sweetheart,”
“Fuck. Yes, yes I want this,” she breaths out and Bruce smirks, hoisting her up onto the counter, she grins into his neck, peppering kisses down it, she kicks off her heels and nudges his leg “Shoes, Bruce,” he reluctantly sighs, but pauses to slip out of them “You’re not running my flooring,” she says casually while slipping off her shirt.
“You’re so dramatic,” he kisses her again, nibbling at her lip while his large hands grope at her tits through her bra, As Isabella moans, her own hands run down to unbutton her jeans, but he stops her, grabbing her hands tightly “My job,” Bella grins and removes her hands, placing them on the counter behind her
“Want me to lay back as well?” she teases, but Bruce merely pushes her down, causing her to laugh he unzips her trousers and gently instructs her to lift herself up so he can shimmy them down, she complies and hears the gentle thud of the denim on the ground.
She was exposed now, her dark blue underwear on show for him to see, and his hands run down her thighs “Is this the set I bought you?” When Isabella goes to remind him that there was a point in her life where she exclusively wore underwear from him, she feels him swipe between her folds, collecting what had leaked through already, she thanks god he doesn't comment on how quickly he got her worked up. It takes him a while to move up her legs, massaging her ankles, and bringing his lips to her knees, slowly kissing up her thigh.
“Bruce..” she moans out
“Mhm?” he continues his actions, leaving a light hickey on her thigh
“Touch something…please,” she’s breathless, feeling her slick pool in her underwear
“I’ve got to warm you up darling,” he squeezes her thighs, one hand reaches up to her bra and slips under it, squeezing her right boob, causing her to sigh in relief, the other hand easily slips off her underwear, leaving her almost fully exposed. He gently cups her whilst his right thumb flicks at her breast, Bella gasps sharply, but it quickly turns into a moan when he starts to slowly circle her clit.
“Bruce please,” she groans, she felt like she was on fire, her slick was starting to get uncomfortable, and she just needed something, some friction. Thankfully, Bruce listens to her, and his middle finger slips inside her, slowly moving in and out.
“God you’re still so tight,” he picks up the pace, and Isabella arches her back
“More,” she moans out
“Have you forgotten who’s in charge here?” he says sharply, pulling his finger out, leaving her empty again, Bella wants to kick him, but she sits up, his hands both on her thighs.
“Please,” she adds, he smirks, and soon she’s back lying on the table, two fingers now inside her, slowly speeding up.
“Good girl,” he praises, and she lets out a damn near pornographic moan “Gonna take me so well later,” she starts to babble, mixing his name in with’ pleases’ while his thumb continues to circle her sensitive nub.
“Fuck..Fuck, fuck!” She’s close, she moans loudly, arching her back, her core tightens and she wants to both squirm away from Bruce and force him to go faster, leaving her a screaming mess. She feels it near and then…
Nothing.
He’d pulled his fingers out and left her just on the edge of her release.
“Oh you ass,” she sighs, breathing heavily, Bruce grabs her calves roughly, pulling her down the island before leaning over her so they’re face to face.
“What was that?” he asks, hiding a smirk
“Asshole,” she says boldly and he lets out a breathy laugh, his hand finding her core again, fingers filling her suddenly.
“Fuck!” he doesn’t give her time to warm up this time, moving in and out with two fingers and with such a speed Bella can hardly compute it, all she can do is swear loudly. She doesn’t know what to do with her hands, putting them above her head whilst her legs pull Bruce closer as she nears her end again “I’m close…don’t, don’t you dare-” she’s so nearly there, her heels digging into Bruce’s back, she can see his hard-on but knows he has the self-control not to take her right there, god she hated that right now.
Again, his hands leave her just as she nearly falls over the edge, tears are forming now, but god she loved it, he knew she did.
Isabella doesn’t say anything, only putting her hand down, gesturing for Bruce to hold it, he does and she squeezes it tightly “You okay?” he asks, and she just lets out a breathy giggle.
“If you let me cum I’ll be much better,”
He tuts softly “C’mon, sit up,” she does as she’s told and he scoops her up in his arms, she screeches and grabs on behind his neck, giggling as he carries her to the bedroom.
The apartment had been nearly abandoned since Isabella had moved in with Bruce all those years ago, it was used as an office for her, somewhere to go when the Cabin was too far away, and she needed a break from work. Now, it’s become her permanent residence again, she’d been picked up from Bella Reve in a simple Range Rover and driven here, not to her home with Bruce, to a dusty apartment with no one to speak to.
Slowly, Bella had started to redecorate, and the bedroom hadn’t been touched yet, with cream walls and a collection of musky-smelling candles on her dresser.
Bruce lays his wife down on her bed, hovering over her to press soft kisses to her lips, he was gentler now, and Bella couldn’t help but wonder if the guilt of leaving her had kicked in, she really wasn’t good at not being sad these days, and that still applied during sex apparently.
She runs her fingers through his hair and he starts to kiss down her jaw, he bites at her neck and she moans, scratching at his scalp. That got his attention and he pulled back, lifting his tight black t-shirt over his head, revealing his abs.
Isabella shamelessly checks him out, biting her lip and grinning, she sits up and grabs the back of his head, connecting their lips suddenly and pulling him back down with her, her hands roaming over his chest, this makes him moan and she smiles into the kiss, her hands reaching his belt and undoing it. He lets her do it, his own hands moving to her back, unhooking her bra, his lips unlock with hers and starts to suck at her left boob, whilst his right hand fondles the other one, his left-hand sneaks down to her opening, collecting the slick once again. He inserts his fingers for the fourth time, this time moving slowly to match his pace on her tits.
It doesn’t take long to get Bella to the edge again, he’d worked her up so much - denying her an orgasm twice, and looking far too hot while doing it. She tries not to show that she’s about to cum this time, but her moans become more high pitched and her grip on his hair tightens. Bruce slithers up her next, whispering in her ear
“Come on baby, let go,” that does it, her walls clench around his fingers and she pulls at his hair.
“Bruce..oh fuck!” she screams and her juices flood the bed, god it felt so good, he continues through it letting her ride her high.
Slowly, he removes himself from her and she complains at the lack of closeness, he kisses her softly before standing up and slipping off his slacks, then his boxers, Isabella watches his dick spring up, pre cum smeared over the tip, and she moans at the sight of it. It was as mouth-watering as she remembered, with a thick girth and decent length, her core clenches just at the sight of it. Bruce gets back on the bed, he kisses her again, and she chases his lips.
“You ready?” he checks and she nods “Wo-”
“Yes,” she doesn’t need him to finish the sentence “Fuck, please,” he smirks and pumps himself slowly, groaning at the feeling of his own hand, oh how he often imagined her manicured fingers around him instead of his own, how he remembered the tightening of her cunt around him.
Bruce slowly lowers himself down and inserts himself into Bella, she gasps ever so slightly, letting out a shaky hum and Bruce joins her.
“Taking me so well, fuck,” he bottoms out after the slow process, Bella lets him stay there for a moment as both of them relish in the tight stretch of her “Missed you,” he whispers into her ear and she shivers “so much, god,” his hips buck involuntarily and she gasps.
“You can move,” she greenlights and he pulls back before sharply re-entering, both gasp and slowly he picks up his pace, the bed shakes as he grunts
“Fuck…So perfect,”
Isabella grabs onto his biceps, her nails digging into the skin, the pain edges him on and Bruce keeps up the rough pace, his own grunts of pleasure mixing with Bella’s moans “Faster. Oh fuck, shit,” she feels the rope tighten in her stomach again, and she screams out “I’m close!”
“Just a little bit longer, come on, you can take it,” Bruce watches her tits jiggle with each of his thrusts “Come on,”
“I can’t-” she scratches down his arms “Gotta cum,” the pressure is too much, he’s so big, she’s so full “Please Bruce, let me - please, oh shit,”
“Let go, darling, come on,” with that, the dam breaks, and again, Bella moans loudly, arching her back, her hips jerk with the sensation and Bruce continues his thrusting, he tucks her hair behind her ear, kissing her as his own pleasure builds, her walls trying to milk him dry “Can I- shit,” he groans and Bella recognises the signs, her fingernails scratch at his scalp
“You can cum inside,” she explains and that's what makes him let go, his cum coating her walls. He rides out his own release and Bella continues to moan. Finally, he collapses on her, the heavyweight comforting.
Both lay there breathless for a few minutes, overwhelmed by the mix of emotions they’d both felt. Bella feels her eyes slip shut, and Bruce slowly stands up, his cock exiting her, she groans at the emptiness, and crosses her legs.
Bruce stands up and starts to walk away from the bed, Isabella looks up, just seeing his backside as he puts on his boxers.
“Don’t leave,” she says panicked, tears in her eyes, he looks almost offended but remembers the post bliss, vulnerable state she’s in and leans down to kiss her temple.
“I’m just getting a cloth sweetheart,” he reassures, and when he returns from the en-suite, he cleans her up, ending the night with her in his arms.

So, about this founders photo.
I think we can all agree, that the fact that it was taken and the work on the BB restaurant continued as normal up until the disappearance of Jack, means that Felix was very much on the loose and free of any police investigations at the time. This could tell us a few things.
If after the crash the police were involved, they would have gotten him arrested right away, due to damning evidence (I doubt that he had the time and resources to get rid of the damaged car or to clean the crime scene). That, or Jack and Rose, who clearly at least suspected him to be at fault, would have told the cops right away, "that's him, cuff him boys". The fact that Felix is free as of 5/18, tells us that this didn't happen. It is further supported by the fact that we haven't really seen Edd and Molly's missing posters around (correct me if I'm wrong here, but I do not remember any). The investigation on the /investigation1 FJW page back in the day clearly concerns the later missing persons cases, the ones connected to BB, especially Jack's.
From this, we can draw a conclusion that Jack and Rose didn't call the cops on Felix. There could be a few reasons for this, my main guesses are ignorance to his role in Edd-Molly fate, or conscious decision not to do so. The first one is bullshit because Jack clearly blames him, judging by his phonecalls, and you gotta be a next-level kind of naive to not see the connection of all the surrounding facts. This leads us to the most likely conclusion: the Waltens never called the police on Felix knowingly, for some personal reasons. And kept doing BSI stuff with him.
Another reason could be, going back to the ignorance theory, that Felix made up a lie so ridiculously plausible and believable, that not only did the Waltens free him of any suspicion, they didn't pursue anyone else NOR initiate an investigation. This is hard to believe, but there is always room for a plot twist. It should also be noted that the decision not to go to the police could have been motivated by some pressure from Felix (blackmail, hostage situation, brainwashing, whatever), which is also an unlikely theory, but still possible.
P. S.: this is me submitting my theories for peer review, feel free to send me details and citations I could have missed.

When Insecurity Makes You Racist
Ya'll, I've got some stuff I wanna get off my chest.
So this morning there I was, drinking my tea, trying to decide which story I was going to continue working on, minding my own damn business for once when on twitter (I'm not calling it X. I said it, and I don't care) I saw a tweet from a mutual talking about some Chucklehead who had created a burner account on Goodreads (seriously, who the fuck does this?) and was mass one-starring books by other indie authors on there. Wait, because there's more.
As if this wasn't shitty enough, this person was also five-starring their own book, which will debut in 2024.
Tumblr media
Did you fucking ever??
So, naturally, I did some digging as I do because I'm nosy af. Fortunately, I wasn't the only one wanting to know the tea, but unfortunately, it doesn't appear as though there's much more information out there except that this author, who I will remind you has not even published their book yet, is acting a damn fool and threatening their own career before it even kicks off.
I did manage to find this thread, which appears to be the original tweet that kicked all this off on twitter, but doesn't go into very much detail. It does, however, reveal another sickening aspect of this fuckery that l i t e r a l l y makes me want to riot, and that this...author was/is "using clearly POC names in the fake accounts to upvote every negative review on POC books so the top ones are all one and two star."
It got me to thinking about how precious and valuable reviews are. How much we crave them as indie authors because it's what will boost our books in the algorithm and get our book into the hands of the next reader. It's our lifeblood. A review and/or rating on Goodreads can absolutely make a difference, especially to indie authors since we only have ourselves and the generosity of our peers to market our books.
So, for an author to betray that is such a disheartening thing. I can't imagine taking the time to create a burner account for the sole purpose of trying to tear down my fellow indies. What's worst, and most likely the most egregious aspect of all of this is that they're weaponizing a POC identity (which I don't even know that they are actually POC) in order to tear down POC authors.
Being an indie author is hard. You're responsible for every aspect of writing, preparing, marketing and selling your book. There's an enormous amount of pressure that naturally comes with being an indie author. Not to mention the constant intrusive thoughts of "what if no one reads my book?" It's hard. But to go out of your way to sabotage other authors so that your book does well is not the way. As indies, we've GOT to have each other's backs, and yes, even call each other out when necessary. This person has not been identified as of yet, and I honestly don't know how I feel about that.
On one hand, there is zero attention on them as an individual and all the attention on their racism and blantant disrespect for the indie community, specifically the POC author community, and therefore their book, name is not receiving any attention apart from the five stars they're giving themselves. But on the other hand, does this mean they're going to be able to get away with their behavior?
It would be bad enough if this were a one-off thing, where they posted one bad review and upvoted themselves one time. I would still say expose their asses if I'm being honest. But this is m u l t i p l e instances of this and in a short period of time.
This is not okay.
And will them getting away with it encourage them to do it again or do something similar?
Personally, I want to know who they are so that I don't support them even by accident, but I know it isn't necessarily my place to demand this. We'll see what happens. As of right now, it appears the person who first posted about it is giving them a chance to knock it the fuck off, which is so incredibly generous, and in my opinion is more than they deserve.
I don't know if this person will heed their advice and stop the fuckery, but I know that I cant just sit idly by and wait for tea — though I most certainly will be watching this and waiting for any additional tea, because friends, I AM A NOSEY BITCH! That and I want to make sure this author never accidently ends up in my TBR because literally fuck them, and their racist burner accounts.
Still, this whole thing makes me want to do something. Not just talk about doing something or talk about how fucked this is — and it is, absolutely fucked. So I kept digging, hoping to at least find a list of those authors targeted so that I could use what platform I have to share their work.
The only post I've been able to find thus far is this one, calling for exactly the same thing, a list of all the authors who have been victimized by a person that should have been cheering them on, not plotting and mobilizing to sabotage them. Thus far, only one name has been identified, at least that I have found, but I will be keeping my eyes open for more, and I will update this post every time I find a new name. I implore you, if you're a reader and want to support indie authors, give their books a read. Leave them a review on Goodreads as well as on Amazon (just copy and paste the same one, I promise it's fine) so that their book gets pushed out and promoted to other readers.
The Poisons We Drink by Bethany Baptiste follows Venus Stoneheart as she avenges the murder of her mother while navigating the corrupt political atmosphere of DC. I will be reading and reviewing this book on my blog as the synopsis sounds bad ass. The link above will take you directly to Bethany's website where you can get more details on this novel.
In the meantime, don't fucking do this if you're an indie author. Don't do this at all even if you're not an indie author. It's gross, it's racist, and it's going to take all of us together to combat this nonsense.

Permaculture Instructor Andrew millison explains how trees are connected to water in the atmosphere as well as water flowing through the landscape. This video articulates the amazing role that trees play to ecosystem and climate health, and how their removal causes the drought-flood cycle.
There may be some questions about the scientific validity of the concept that forests attract rain. Here are a number of peer reviewed scientific articles to support the hypothesis which suggests that forest cover plays a much greater role in determining rainfall than previously recognized. They explain how forested regions generate large-scale flows in atmospheric water vapor.

Another important concept from the video is that condensation and evaporation in large areas of forest causes moist air to flow to land
From the abstract of the article below: “ Intense condensation associated with high evaporation from natural forest cover maintains regions of low atmospheric pressure on land. This causes moist air to flow from ocean to land, which compensates the river runoff….High evaporation and large extent of natural forests guarantee both a stable and high throughput hydrological cycle. Forests protect a continent against devastating floods, droughts, hurricanes, and tornadoes. Sustaining natural forests is a sound strategy for water security and climate stabilization.”

An Open Letter to the American Psychiatric Association Regarding the Publication of Gender-Affirming Psychiatric Care
Date: Jan 2024
On November 8, 2023, Gender-Affirming Psychiatric Care was released by the American Psychiatric Association’s official publishing house.
We the undersigned strongly support the following Open Letter to the APA. Our letter calls on the APA to explain why it glaringly ignored many scientific developments in gender-related care and to consider its responsibility to promote and protect patients’ safety, mental and physical health.
On Dec 28, 2023, this Open Letter was sent to the leadership of the APA, asking for a substantive response. We invite you to sign below to support our continued efforts to demand medical and mental health excellence from the APA.
We are a group of clinicians, educators, and researchers committed to treating every patient with respect and compassion while upholding excellence in medical and mental health care. We seek an unbiased scientific investigation and discussion of the harms and benefits of all types of care offered to those with gender related distress. We have grave concerns about the American Psychiatric Association’s GAPC textbook. Until those concerns are addressed and the textbook’s errors corrected, we call on the APA for its withdrawal.
GAPC, released on November 8, 2023 by the American Psychiatric Association’s official publishing house, is touted as “the first textbook dedicated to providing affirming, intersectional, and evidence-informed psychiatric care for transgender, non-binary, and/or gender-expansive (TNG) people.” APA Publishing claims to use a system that “is unique in the extent to which it uses peer review in both the selection and final approval of publishing projects.”  Considering the serious concerns about “affirming care” of minors raised by multiple international systematic reviews, we do not understand how such a review process could grant the imprimatur of the APA. We ask that APA Publishing disclose details of the peer review process for this book and explain why it glaringly ignored scientific developments in gender-related care.
The book’s claims of being evidence-informed are untenable. GAPC omits any in-depth analysis of the evidence to date, dismisses “scientific neutrality” as “a fallacy” (p. xix), and chooses authors with the correct “lived experiences” and “community impact of prior work over academic titles” (p. xx).
At the time of publishing, the gender affirmation model promoted in GAPC is under scrutiny from clinicians and scientists worldwide. After conducting careful systematic reviews of the evidence, Finland, Sweden, and the United Kingdom are drastically retrenching from their earlier affirmation model for treating gender dysphoria in minors. In Norway, the Netherlands, Denmark, France, Australia and New Zealand we see either critical reviews by public health agencies, or pushback by professional societies and in mainstream medical journals. Having omitted these international developments and heated debates, GAPC was out of date before its publication.
Not only do the authors ignore the most current systematic reviews, which count as the most reliable source of scientific information in evidence-based medicine, they also repeatedly undermine well-established standards of care in multiple mental and medical practices. We highlight just two examples of many.
First, GAPC neglects to address the many known risks of puberty blockers (see Cass Review 2020, Jorgensen et al. 2022, FDA 2022), and cross-sex hormones while presenting fundamentally flawed research to support their gender-affirmative approach. The authors falsely state that “Use of GnRHas in pubertal suppression is a fully reversible intervention that allows young patients time to mature, explore their gender identity, and understand better the risks and benefits of GAHT” (p. 52). It is astonishing to see such an outdated fallacy appear in this book, especially referring to a case presentation of a 10-year-old child. According to Jorgensen et al. 2022, “Over 95% of youth treated with GnRH-analogs go on to receive cross-sex hormones. By contrast, 61-98% of those managed with psychological support alone reconcile their gender identity with their biological sex during puberty.” This contradicts both the reversibility and exploratory nature of puberty suppression claimed by GAPC.
The authors continue, “This often leads to improvement in psychiatric symptoms, behavioral problems (de Vries et al. 2011), and suicidal ideation (Turban et al. 2020)” (p. 52). The studies cited by the authors have been extensively critiqued by the aforementioned reviews and other investigators (see Biggs 2022, SEGM 2023, Abbruzzese et al. 2023). The European systematic reviews found the de Vries study to be at high risk of bias. The Turban et al. study is cross-sectional, and by the authors’ own admission “does not allow for determination of causation. Longitudinal clinical trials are needed to better understand the efficacy of pubertal suppression.” Additional, equally profound critiques include a) downplaying serious known side effects b) profound methodological flaws that exaggerate and misrepresent reported efficacy and benefits c) inclusion of only the most successful cases in outcome-reporting d) lack of applicability to the currently predominant cohort of minors experiencing gender dysphoria (adolescent-onset natal female patients with severe psychiatric comorbidities) and e) absence of randomized, controlled trials and long-term studies (Ludvigsson 2023).
Second, the authors are disturbingly nonchalant about the high rate of co-occurring mental and behavioral health challenges seen in the context of gender dysphoria. Autism, ADHD, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, suicidality, substance use disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorder are all dramatically over-represented in gender dysphoric youth. The Minority Stress Model is used to dismiss such phenomena, unscientifically, as the result of “the psychosocial stressors associated with having to exist within a cisheteronormative society” (p. 50). Minority stress is not sufficient to explain away all psychological distress in the gender nonconforming population, as research has shown no significant change in suicide rates over time in this cohort despite increasing societal acceptance. Rather than comprehensively exploring and addressing these co-occurring conditions, GAPC charges ahead with medicalized gender transition in children and young adults with autism and ADHD (chapter 8), substance use disorders (chapters 1, 13 & 16), eating disorders (chapter 15), and severe mental illness (chapter 18).
GAPC overlooks the risk that rapid affirmation concretizes patients’ dysphoria or contributes to patients’ regret post-treatment, with some even attempting to return to their natal sex. Such detransitioned individuals are now suing surgeons, endocrinologists, and psychiatrists for damages, claiming their doctors encouraged them to follow measures that are not backed by rigorous science and did not address their co-morbid conditions. They are suing health systems employing such doctors and the professional organizations (the American Academy of Pediatrics in the Isabelle Ayala lawsuit) that uncritically endorse unproven and irreversible treatments. It appears that the APA is either unaware of or has chosen to ignore such risks and outcomes for patients and for those that promote, teach and provide these treatments.
GAPC condemns any attempt to prevent such iatrogenic harm through careful evaluation, wrongly dismissing widely-accepted, less invasive psychotherapeutic treatments as “conversion therapy” (p. 291). Instead, GAPC proposes that patients struggling with gender-related distress be taken at their word that “gender” is the source of the problems and rushed to treatments that may lead to irreversible sterility, anorgasmia, surgical complications, and life-long dependence on exogenous hormones and medical interventions. This aggressive approach discounts the possibility that many of these children, if not initiated on blockers and hormones, would eventually conclude that their early gender dysphoria was the developmental prelude to a healthy, non-heterosexual adult orientation.
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) has similarly advocated for gender-affirming care by publishing a policy statement in 2018, a stance it recently reaffirmed. The AAP now finds itself named in the Ayala case, cited above, on claims that it improperly endorsed harmful care that is not backed by evidence. Its publishing house was accepting pre-orders for a book promoting gender-affirming care until December 6, 2023 when the book was removed, with refunds offered, pending further review. We hope the APA heeds the AAP’s example and retracts GAPC.
Encouraging any physician, trainee, program or provider to view this book as “cutting-edge” “best practices” is unacceptable, unethical and unsafe. We urge APA Publishing to consider its responsibility to promote and protect patients’ safety and their mental and physical health, and to uphold its own claim to be “the world’s premier publisher of books, journals, and multimedia on psychiatry, mental health, and behavioral science”. To avoid discrediting itself as a professional organization and a reliable source of gender related psychiatric care, and to minimize the risk of legal liability to itself, we call on the APA to withdraw this book.

This is the first slide of my project for Part 2. I have included my working definition of information literacy and my assertion for why it's important (Dr. P told me to include these in her feedback on my Part 1).
Do you think my definition is specific enough? Is my reason why it's important specific enough? I don't want them to be too broad, but I also don't want them to be too lengthy. Let me know if any parts don't make sense.
I plan on following this slide up with my data patterns to support my claims that we see a lot of info in different forms (digital, in-person, etc.). Any extra advice on how you guys are approaching Part 2 would be greatly appreciated!

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Alhamdulillah. The result of my work in my last year stay at @kist_pr as a Ph.D. student (5 months) and Postdoc (7 months) just before leaving for @kaustofficial (@kaust_solar_center, , @KAUST_PSE) has just been published in Energy Storage Materials (EnSM; Q1; Impact Factor (IF) = 20,831 (2021)) entitled "Alkali Adatom-Amplified Schottky Contact and Built-in Voltage for Stable Zn-Metal Anodes", which is my 5th paper as the first author in high reputable journals in 5 consecutive years on electrochemistry-based topics (e.g., batteries, solar cells, and supercapacitors), from 16 in total (including as co-author). This work was close to being accepted in Energy & Environmental Science (EES; Q1; IF = 39.714 (2021)) and Advanced Energy Materials (AEM; Q1; IF = 29,698 (2021)). The review system used by EnSM, the "double-blind peer review process", makes the review process fairer and reduces the tendency of "conflict of interest" from reviewers to authors and vice versa because the names of the reviewers and authors are kept confidential from each other by the editor during the review processes. The study in this paper is a continuation of our previous study published in ACS Energy Letters (Q1; IF = 23,991 (2021)) last year ( https://doi.org/10.1021/acsenergylett.1c00150 ) on improving the electrochemical stability of lithium metal anodes by suppressing lithium dendrites using a Schottky contact created by a carbon semiconductor film on the anode surface. In a current study published in EnSM, we aimed to suppress similar problems (dendrites and corrosion) but on a different system, the Zn metal anode of aqueous-based zinc metal batteries, using various degrees of Schottky contact. Thanks to all authors, KIST, and my Professor for all their contributions, supports and facilities. I dedicate this work to my beloved Parents (Mother and deceased Father) and Family. Keep all men away from children.
A major UK news outlet is prompting concern on social media after featuring a profile of a popular gay rights figure who contributed to a “pro-pedophile” anthology, wrote an obituary for a pedophile activist, and once claimed “children have sexual desires at an early age.”
On June 7, Metro published an article titled “Veterans from UK’s first Pride to mark 50th anniversary of ‘revolutionary’ event.” Both in the article’s graphic and the body of the piece, a photograph of a man holding a sign declaring “No Age Limit on Love” at the 1972 Pride march is prominently displayed.
Tumblr media
While some commenters attempted to dismiss the sign as being a harmless reference to when the age of consent was higher for relationships between two males than between a male and a female, others are interpreting the sign along with the subject of the article and finding it far more nefarious.
The article is largely centered around profiling gay rights activist Peter Tatchell, a controversial figure with a long history of disturbing remarks about pedophilia and child sexual abuse.
As recently as 2018, Tatchell was forced to clarify his position on pedophilia after a letter to the Guardian he wrote in 1997 emerged. In the letter, Tatchell stated the “positive nature of some child-adult sexual relationships is not confined to non-Western cultures,” and that he had friends who had engaged in “sex with adults from the ages of 9 to 13” who had enjoyed it.
Tatchell’s letter had been written in support of a book titled Dares to Speak: Historical and Contemporary Perspectives on Boy-love, published by the Gay Men’s Press in 1997. The book is said to have analyzed pedophilia in a favorable light, and utilized essays from Paidika, a European pro-pedophile journal.
At the time of its publication, the book had been slammedby journalist Ros Coward, who wrote that it “refuses to take seriously sexual abuse and its consequences.” Tatchell’s letter was in defense of the work, apparently displeased with Coward’s negative review.
Tumblr media
Tatchell argued that while he was unable to condone pedophilia, not all sex involving children was “unwanted, abusive or harmful.”
After the letter emerged in 2018, Tatchell insisted his defense was misunderstood and stated he opposed child sexual abuse, and also claimed there were parts of his letter which condemned child sexual abuse that had been cut out by editors. But this was not the first instance of his comments prompting concern.
In 2009, Tatchell penned an op-ed for the Guardianadvocating for the age of consent to be lowered, claiming children were being criminalized for having sex with their peers. Tatchell had previously conducted an interview with a 14-year-old prostituted child pseudonymously known as “Lee” which he claimed was for the same purpose — advocating for youth rights to be sexually active with those of similar ages. But the interview, headlined “I’m 14, I’m gay, and I want a boyfriend,” focused on Lee claiming children could consent to sex with adults, and stating he enjoying having sex with adult men.
For the interview, Tatchell would ask Lee a number of questions, some of which were sexually charged, as Lee repeatedly insisted there was no danger to his physical or mental health from having sex with adult men, and that he enjoyed being a prostitute.
“The law is stupid,” says Lee in the interview, “If I know what I’m doing and I’m not harming anyone else, I should be allowed to have sex with who I want.” Lee goes on to claim that laws deeming adult-child sex ‘indecent assault’ are “ridiculous,” stating: “I’m only 14 but I know what I’m doing. I understand what consent involves. So does the person I’m having sex with. No one is indecently assaulting me. That’s a stupid suggestion.”
At the time, Tatchell wrote that Lee was in a relationship with a man in his mid-20s, and Tatchell presented their relationship as harmless.
Tumblr media
In a 2018 review of Tatchell’s disturbing history, feminist journalist Julie Bindel stated that in the interview “Tatchell appears only to be interested in pursuing the line about how much Lee says he likes sex with adult men.”
In 2021, Bindel, along with Melanie Newman and Hayley Dixon, revealed in the Telegraph that Tatchell had penned a book review in which he claimed that “children have sexual desires at an early age,” and praised the “courage” of those selling what he later admitted was a “pro-pedophilia” work.
The book was a collection of essays compiled by Warren Middleton, former vice-chairman of the Paedophile Information Exchange (PIE). Tatchell contributed a chapter for the 1986 anthology titled “Radical perspectives on “Childhood Sexuality, Intergenerational Sex, and the Social Oppression of Children and Young People.” Other chapters in the anthology covered child sexual abuse material and the normalization of pedophilia.
While he would initially claim he was bamboozled into contributing to the text, denying knowledge of what the overall work was about, Bindel, Newman, and Dixon found that he had written a favorable review of the book at a later date.
The review, titled “Radical thoughts on consent,” lamented that Middleton was unable to find a publisher, and praised the book as speaking “coolly, clearly and radically about a subject which has far too long been shrouded in emotional hysteria and adult chauvinism.”
Tatchell would go on to apologize for the review, and continue to deny any instances of knowingly associating with members of PIE.
But this was not Tatchell’s first intersection with the notorious group. In 1998, he wrote a doting obituary for Ian Dunn, the co-founder of PIE. In the obituary Tatchell calls Dunn a “pioneer for lesbian and gay human rights, remaining a central figure in the battle for homosexual equality,” but does not mention his pro-pedophilia views, which was a focal point of his activism.
Dunn had organized pedophile meetups in Glasgow throughout the 70s and 80s, proudly stating: “I am not one of those homosexuals who get cross or nervous when the subject of love between men and boys is raised.” According to journalist Julie Bindel, Dunn allegedly raped a young boy who turned up at his funeral just to “make sure he was dead.”
As with the anthology contribution, review, and Guardianletter — Tatchell would claim ignorance, and state he was unaware of any pro-pedophilia advocacy conducted by Dunn.

“I produced most of the biggest hit songs in Ghana last year” – Beatz Vampire claims the crown ahead of TGMA 2024
New Post has been published on https://plugzafrica.com/i-produced-most-of-the-biggest-hit-songs-in-ghana-last-year-beatz-vampire-claims-the-crown-ahead-of-tgma-2024/
“I produced most of the biggest hit songs in Ghana last year” – Beatz Vampire claims the crown ahead of TGMA 2024
Showbiz and showboating go hand in hand and Beatz Vampire is sticking to the script. As one of the industry’s most sought-after producers, he confidently declares 2023 his own and believes none of his peers even come close heading into the Telecel Ghana Music Awards 2024.
Despite the prominent awards show just a month away–June 1, Beatz Vampire is already anticipating a clean sweep under its rebranded glory. His gaze is set on one of the night’s most coveted achievements: the “Producer of the Year” award.
And with four hits credited to him under three artists in the previous year alone, it is easy to see why he is confidence levels are stratospheric. Last year, the young producer was all over the place. His work on JZyNO and Lasmid’s ‘Butta My Bread’ was a mega success, bringing over 160M streams across platforms.
The song’s popularity on TikTok also got under the skin of artists like Nigeria’s Ruger, who tried to downplay its quality and appeal. Beatz Vampire chased this down with equally catchy tracks like ‘Goodsin,’ ‘Likor’ and ‘I Lied,’ which garnered similar acclaim.
Indeed, Beatz Vampire has a good chance of winning the award. Since the nominations list dropped, his name has been on the lips of fans who showed their support. The producer chimed in on his fans’ sentiments, saying: “I feel honored even though this was expected. I produced most of the biggest hit songs in Ghana last year, from JZyNO and Lasmid’s ‘Butta My Bread’ to Olivetheboy’s ‘Goodsin,’ Kidi’s ‘Likor’ and ‘I Lied,’ so it’s only right I am handed the award on that night. Big shouts to the rest of the nominees though.”
Of course, Beatz Vampire is no stranger to the hype around prestigious awards. In 2022, he was nominated “Producer of the Year” at the Ghana Music Awards USA and Ghana Music Awards France. His contributions over the years, like Jahmiel’s ‘Beautiful,’ P-Square’s ‘Jaiye,’ Shatta Wale’s ‘Hajia Bintu’ and ‘1 Don,’ Mr Drew’s ‘Mood’ and ‘S3k3,’ Lasmid’s ‘Atele’ and ‘Sika,’ among others, were super hits of their time.
But this year in review is a special one. He believes after so many years of missing out, the award is coming home. As the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (formerly the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards) draws close, Beatz Vampire stands on the cusp of glory.

Enhancing Student Achievement and Well-being through Teaching Executive Function Skills
Tumblr media
In the ever-evolving landscape of education, there is a growing recognition of the importance of executive function skills in shaping students' academic success and overall well-being. Executive function encompasses mental processes that enable individuals to plan, focus attention, remember instructions, and manage time effectively. Research suggests that teaching executive function skills can profoundly impact student achievement and well-being. In this article, we will explore the significance of executive function skills in education and how teaching these skills can lead to improved outcomes for students, supported by real supporting citations and a reference page.
The Importance of Executive Function Skills
Executive function skills are critical for success in school and beyond. These skills enable students to set goals, organize tasks, regulate emotions, solve problems, and adapt to changing situations. Research has shown that individuals with strong executive function skills are better equipped to succeed academically, develop positive social relationships, and navigate life's challenges effectively (Diamond, 2013; Zelazo & Carlson, 2012).
Teaching Executive Function Skills
Educators play a vital role in teaching students executive function skills. By integrating explicit instruction, modeling, and practice into their teaching, educators can help students develop and strengthen their executive function skills. Strategies such as breaking tasks into manageable steps, providing visual aids and reminders, teaching self-monitoring and self-reflection techniques, and fostering a growth mindset can all contribute to developing executive function skills in students (Meltzer, 2011; Blair & Raver, 2015).
Impact on Academic Achievement
Research has shown a strong correlation between executive function skills and academic achievement. Students with strong executive function skills perform better academically, including reading comprehension, math problem-solving, and writing proficiency. These students can better stay focused, follow instructions, manage their time effectively, and persist in facing challenges, leading to improved academic outcomes (Best et al., 2011; Jacob & Parkinson, 2015).
Promoting Social and Emotional Well-being
In addition to academic success, executive function skills are closely linked to students' social and emotional well-being. Students with strong executive function skills are better equipped to regulate their emotions, communicate effectively, resolve conflicts, and establish positive relationships with peers and adults. These skills contribute to greater resilience, self-confidence, and overall well-being, helping students navigate the complexities of school and life more easily (Eisenberg et al., 2010; Blair & Razza, 2007).
Teaching executive function skills is essential for promoting student achievement and well-being in education. By equipping students with the cognitive and emotional tools they need to succeed, educators can empower them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. As educators continue to prioritize the development of executive function skills in their teaching practices, they can make a meaningful difference in the lives of their students, laying the foundation for success in school and beyond.
