1 ; Dawn of a New World

(only Ichika and Mizuki have colored text,,sorry 😅)

A irritating noise fills the dark void, vibrating invisible ripples into the black empty space into glimmers of light. He tries to reach out to the light ripples against the black void, and opens his eyes. Ichika lays in bed, completely exhausted from oversleeping, a realization he did not make until he finally traces the source of that irritating vibration, it was his alarm! "Crap! I overslept again?!"

Ichika panics as he rushed out of bed to change into his school uniform. The adrenaline from getting up too fast hits him like a truck, and takes a quick breather while clenching the wall next to him as if to not loose balance.

He turns over to his uniform and sighs as he heads over to change. Sure, it's a uniform he doesn't like, but nonetheless he wears it so he can head out for school that day. Ichika rushes to the door, completely dismissing breakfast, and runs out as if his life depended on it. "I REALLY need to stop sleeping through my alarm!"

He finally arrives at school, the bell had just rung and he rushed towards the main entrance, completely forgetting the environment around him.

His friends catch a glimpse of him before he disappears into the crown full of students rushing to their classes. "Wow, he overslept again! At this point he must be trying to break a world record!"

Saki jokes as she giggles to herself. Honami looks concerned for Ichika as she smiles awkwardly to herself, "I really hope he gets some better sleeping habits soon, this is starting to become a pattern.."

Shiho sighs as he looks over to Saki giggling to Honami's concerned expression. "At this point, we might as well show up to his house to wake him up every morning." Shiho says teasingly, but then his expression turns into uncertainty, hoping that they wouldn't actually have to do that any time soon.

For the past few weeks, this has became a sort of.. strange habit of his. It wasn't very common for him to always be this late, but he could never figure out why he has troubles sleeping recently. He finally reached his class and takes a seat, class went on as if he were never late in the first place.

His usual days were always the same, never changing as much. He had been drifting off into his mind, trying to think of new lyrics for a song on development to the band he's apart of with his friends, but alas no ideas come to mind. The class ends as if it were a snap of the finger, and he struggles to regains his conscience after zoning out all class.

"ICHIKKAAAA!!~" A loud bubbly voice echos through the school hallways as she makes her way towards Ichika's classroom and storms in, finally making Ichika snap out of his train of thoughts, startling him. "Oh, Emu..You seem lively as ever." Ichika tries his best to smile at Emu, but his voice made it clear of his exhaustion. Emu takes note of Ichika's exhaustion and starts fidgeting in place, causing her bright pink hair bounce up and down.

"You sound even gloomier than ever! Hmm....~" Emu starts thinking of a way to help Ichika of his tiredness, while Ichika can't help but stare at her curious expression. "AHA! I know what will cheer you up for sure!" Emu slams her hands on his desk, startling Ichika causing him to let out a quiet "Eek!" from his mouth like a startled small hamster. "You're friends with Nene, right?? We should go visit them right now for lunch!!" Emu exclaimed as her eyes sparkles in determination. "But, doesn't Nene go to Kamiyama? That's a really far trip.."

Ichika stated as Emu looks at him, her face unchanging, happily bouncing in place. Emu then grabs Ichika's hand and drags him out the classroom, "We'll make it if we're quick!~" Emu runs quickly, barely leaving any room for Ichika to take a quick breath as they rush off campus. "W-wait! Aren't you afraid of getting caught?-" Ichika tries to advise, but it seems as if he no longer has control over the situation.

Emu lets go of Ichika's hand, forgetting the fact that he indeed does not know the way to Kamiyama, as this is not his usual route to school, and rushes off leaving a cloud of dust into the air trailing before her. "HEY! Wait for me..." Ichika tried to mutter before realizing he's now completely lost, as they are already halfway between both schools, completely stranded.

Ichika bends down trying to catch his breath, this takes him a couple of long minutes, before finally stands back up with sweat rolling down his face. "As if this day couldn't have gotten worse.." It was the middle of summer, and the fierce heat would not spare one person. He looks up to the sky, the leaves from the surrounding trees dance in the light wind as rays of sunlight reach down below to reveal a scene only seen in a movie.

"I guess...I should try to find my way to Kamiyama then." Ichika mutters to himself as he pulls out his phone, and tries to search up directions to the school as he walks down the lightly shaded sidewalk, unrecognizable shales of light reaching down to the floor fluttering like soft lights on a stage.

Ten minutes into his misadventure, he doesn't bother to look up from his phone as he's desperately trying to make his way to his destination as he promised Emu to visit her friend there, his face makes him look helpless like a lost tourist in a unfamiliar land.

As he starts to subconsciously pick up the pace, he doesn't seem to realize the situation thats about to take place at the sharp corner he's about to reach,

At this point of time, he's about to have his daily routine in life changed, possibly for eternity.

He finally decides to look up, seconds before realizing he was about to run into someone at full speed! His face changes into a surprised and startled expression exactly a second before he aggressively bumps into the unexpecting victim, forcefully pushing both into opposite directions as gravity's harsh force pushes them into the ground.

Ichika rubs his forehead head, that has now turned as red as a tomato from the impact, as he tries to utter a messy apology. "Oh my god..I-I'm so sorry about..uh.." By the time he finally opens his eyes, he looks up to the other individual to see a confused person around his age, their pale pink eyes shining, staring, as the sun hit their pastel colored hair as if it were glowing. Ichika comes to a stop, as he's a a loss for words, almost as if he's seen something so stunning he couldn't comprehend.

"Holy crap! I'm so sorry!! Are-- Are you okay? You look like you took a pretty hard hit!" The bright individual expressed a panicked worry in their tone, before quickly getting up and extending a hand towards him to help him get up. Ichika remains staring at them, somehow muttering the thoughts "How didn't I meet them before?" in his mind before he snaps back to reality, and grabs their hand, helping him recover from the impact.

Ichika began to ramble on, as if to try and make it up to the unexpecting victim for running into them so harshly. "Please, don't worry about me.. are you alright? I-I should've been looking at where I was going, I'm so sorry-" Ichika stumbles, before becoming distracted by the individual's uniform. It was the uniform from Kamiyama, covered by their soft lilac sweater.

"...You go to Kamiyama?" Ichika asked as they look at his uniform as well, their eyes slightly widening. "Hey, you go to Miyamasuzaka!" They exclaimed before looking directly at Ichika, which catches him off guard. "I just so happen to know someone there!" They extend their hand once more, but this time for a proper greeting of soon-to-be acquaintances, "My name's Mizuki, what's yours?" Ichika gently moves his hand towards Mizuki's greeting, and they have a proper handshake. "My name is Ichika."

i love when games make characters that seem completely opposite of each other have the same thoughts,, for example shizuku and mafuyu having the thought of giving up
