always has an ice pack chilled and ready to go in the freezer in case you bump yourself real hard and it's sore because ice helps bumps not bruise right when you get them (looking at you guys clumsy ladies write that one down)

always warns you about things right as they're happening since you get into things SO FAST

like just as you're bumping into something or dropping an item she's blurting out, "wait! there's- a shirt on the floor"/"remember- that the washing machine door is open"/"baby, you're gonna drop that- just... like you did just now. you okay?"

always asks what you did to get a new bruise. she'll notice a new one and joke, "oh, what did you do this time?" and you'll respond, "i may have walked into the dishwasher while the door was down... but this one doesn't hurt that bad 😁" it's become like a little game

she's become sooo desensitized to any bump or bang sound in the house bc she knows its just you. not to say she doesn't care about you getting hurt--she immediately throws out a "you good?!" or "you need me?"--she just knows you know what to do: ice pack or heat compress. it's routine now.

read that low vitamin c levels make you bruise easily, so always has vitamin c rich snacks stocked up. oranges and strawberries and other fruits, always ready!

she's so stupid in love that she'll cut the fruits up into hearts or try nd make the most simple little animals with them from some mother of 3's tutorial on instagram reels and genuinely gets upset when she can't recreate them.

^ like you notice her absolutely maiming some apples and ask, "ummm why are you slicing and dicing that poor apple?" and she'll mumble, "it's supposed to be a stupid crab."

and for my ladies with darker skin where bruises aren't as visible or even just pale skin that just doesn't bruise easily, she's still just as concerned. and since there is no visible warning of a sore spot, she's hurriedly apologizing after pressing on a sore spot or laying on a tender patch.

"one,two,three,four,fi-", "where's Y/N unnie?" Eun-Chae interrupt Sakura while counting. All of the members laugh because you're always sleeping when the dinner is ready. "u guys can eat I'll go get y/n" Sakura went to your room and saw you sleeping peacefully, she walks beside you and sit at the beside your bed.

"hey… y/n come on dinner is ready" Sakura whisper while caressing your cheek. "Is… my… baby…here-um" you mumble on your pillow. Sakura look at you with a hint of blush in her cheek "get up or they will finish all the food" Sakura left your room smiling.

Tiny Curiosity: Etymology of Pupil and Foal

Pupil(student) and Foal may seem like totally different words with different meaning... 

But as usual, I am here to let you know they share etymological root!

Pupil:

From Old French "pupille" (14th century) and Latin "pupillus" (feminine form "pupilla"), both meaning orphan child or ward, with "pupillus" being a diminutive form of "pupus" (boy) and "pupa" (girl).

Likely related to the Latin word "puer" (child), possibly stemming from the Proto-Indo-European root *pau- (1), meaning few or little.

Evolution of Meaning:

By the 1560s, the term expanded to encompass a disciple, student youth, or any person, regardless of gender, under the guidance of an instructor or tutor.

Foal:

Old English term "fola" (foal, colt) dates back to the Proto-Germanic word *fulon.

Derived from Proto-Indo-European (PIE) root *pulo- meaning "young of an animal," which is a suffixed form of the root *pau- (1) signifying few or little.

Historical Linguistics:

Asterix Roman thoughts

I found this as a 2019 draft on my DA Sta.sh

The main part of the "Asterix" franchise is comics, so there are too many characters to keep track of, I'll only list the cartoon and game Romans.

Caligula Minus

He is so small (as short as Asterix) and cute. He also looks really frail, how did he end up in the army? I listened to his voice in a few dubs and my favourites are French and German, they're more distinctive, and I prefer the German one because it's easier to listen to.

Caius Bonus / Crismus Bonus / Phonus Balonus

It amuses me that he is so keen on replacing Caesar that he cries when Getafix (and Asterix) makes it complicated.

Caius Tiddlus / Caius Pupus

Spiritual descendant of Droopy from Tex Avery's cartoons, how else do you explain that he is always in front of Asterix and Obelix? Plus he doesn't express emotions except when Obelix implies he ate the Beast and when he is on the Isle of Pleasure with the sirens. I tend to whisper as I type stuff and I sound like a female version of him.

Motus / Caous / Bossa Nova / Voluptuous Arteriosclerosus / Caius Faipalgugus

He is loud and treats those below him like trash, but he is still funny.

Ardeco / Noodles / Infirmofpurpus / Plutoqueprevus

My recent gallery should make it obvious that I love him. I find him to be the most relatable character (I cry when I'm scared too). He looks so huggable, they should make plushies of him, maybe the owl too. I heard him in over 10 dubs and my favourite is German, other ones I like are Polish and UK English. The French voice is good but it's a bit harsh on my ears. In the USA dub he (and several other Romans) has an Italian accent and his voice is high-pitched so he sounds like a poor impression of Mario. His Croatian voice is so deep it's funny but it lacks screaming. The Swedish voice is hard to listen to and he screams way too much. The Greek voice reminds me of Mickey Mouse, doesn't fit him.

Lucullus

He threw Dogmatix in the sea and got eaten by a panther. Good riddance.

Anglaigus / Squareonthehypothenus

I think this guy was popular at some point, but it's been several years since the cartoon with him came out and I see only one person still draw him these days. He is funny and sort of cute.

Sam Shieffer ("Asterix and Obelix XXL", "Asterix and Obelix XXL 2: Mission Las Vegum", "Asterix at the Olympic Games")

Tutorial character in the first two games, saves the protagonists' lives in the second two games. It seems that XXL1 takes place in one timeline and XXL2 with OG in another, because he meets the protagonists for the first time in XXL1 and XXL2, while OG reuses the character designs from XXL2. In XXL1 his name is never said or shown. In XXL2 and OG he parodies another character (name and outfit) I'm not familiar with.

Larry Craft ("Asterix and Obelix XXL 2: Mission Las Vegum)

You can guess the inspiration for this character. He is a mini-boss somewhere in the middle of the game, not too hard (for me at least). I feel a little bad for him.

The Shrade Island Incident

Contents warning: somewhat gory violence, mention of rape

This happens to be the end of the short story, so it’s a bit out of context, but what you need to know: Agria’s life is suffering and her family are a bunch of assholes. At the beginning of this chapter she’s working with Presa as a spy (she’s not a member of the Chimeriad yet, just Presa’s accomplice).

Aurignac = Agria’s eldest half-brother, Gravett = second half-brother, Magdalena = half-sister, Celedonio = youngest half-brother (3 years older than her), Roberta = her dad’s wife

The Shrade Island Incident

The good news came from the old hag.

“The Rashugal army has seized control of Shrade Island,” she said.

“Shrade Island!? So they’re attacking Auj Oule, at last.”

That’s right. Shrade Island was a small island that Rashugal was claiming territorial rights over, but most its population was Auj Oulian. The Rashugal government had always been looking for a pretext to put it under its rule.

“They say it might concern the new weapon, but I don’t know the details. Whatever it may be, they are rounding up innocent citizens, so this is urgent matters. His Highness will lead the counterattack himself.” She paused for a second, then added, “The commander of the enemy forces is Aurignac L. Travis. …Are you in?”

Aurignac! My heart was about to burst from joy!

“I can’t believe you’re even asking me. Are you daft, or what? My job is to bring those assholes’ head to His Highness!”

I was allowed to join His Highness’ elite group, so I crossed the sea to Shrade Island. There was no need for strategies. His Highness didn’t even need to draw his sword, as the four of us cut through the enemy’s so-called special forces like we were reaping wheat. Among the corpses whose heads were smashed, I recognized Gravett’s lanky face.

Dear brother Gravett, you prick who always had your nose in a book and dismissed us as less than human. Aa-ah, let me be honest here. If you’d kept getting promotions, you could have become a superb general. Your cold-heartedness and rationalism were much more fit for the military than all those pampered noble token officers. That strict, uncompromising attitude. The way he walked confidently through enemy lines, slicing obstacles without mercy. When I saw His Highness for the first time, I was reminded of your “I don’t rely on anyone” look. Only a little bit.

But there was no time to get sentimental when there was a bigger prey waiting for me. We tore through the enemy forces like a storm, and in no time we cornered my nemesis, the embodiment of House Travis, my eldest brother Aurignac.

My heart beat fast at the thought that revenge was near. But I wouldn’t do something so uncouth as to show him how excited the prospect of a hunt made me. Calmly, to toy with him, I made a light jab. The kind of banter I learned in the back alleys.

“Aurignac. You’ve grown fatter since the last time I saw you. If you don’t start building strength in your gut, your favorite shiny buttons are gonna fly off.”

“…I see. I understand now. So that’s why you came back to us with your tail between your legs.”

“There is no greater pleasure for me than to pay you back for your good care thusly,” I said in an affected tone.

I hunched back a little, drawing my heavy wand. Seeing that, Aurignac turned his body sideways and pointed the tip of his sword towards me.

“A shameless wench who turned her back to our country no longer has the right to bear our noble name. You shall atone for tainting our bloodline with your death.”

“Right, right. Keep barking about your noble name like a fool. Though it seems you won’t even be able to cast the spirit artes our ‘blood’ is so proud of to protect yourself. I’ll write your epitaph for you: ‘Born from a noble line with the strongest spiritual affinity in Rashugal, died as a most mediocre spellcaster. Beloved imbecile.’ How’s that sound?”

“My, my. Like mother, like daughter, I see. You cannot hide your low birth.”

“…Don’t you dare talk about my mom.”

“As Father seemed to be so enamored with her in spite of his age, I wanted to see her skills for myself, but she did nothing but cry and resist; nothing impressive, really.”

“AURIGNAC!!”

I exploded in hatred. My twisted wand clashed with his bejeweled sword, and for a moment, we pushed at each other’s guard. But our power balance only lasted an instant. The desire to kill him in the cruelest way overflowed my mind like the Kijara Seafalls, eclipsing all other emotions. Holding on at point blank range, I summoned a quintuple magic circle. Aurignac’s face changed colors when he realized he was trapped in my arte, but it was too late for him. Just as he flung himself to the side to escape it, black blades surged from the circle like snakes and cut his arms, his shoulders, his throat, his whole body.

The next moment, his body was ripped apart like minced meat and the pieces fell to the ground, looking more like manure than human remains.

 His Highness was extremely satisfied with the results of the Battle of Shrade Island, as we had not only managed to protect the citizens, we had wiped out an entire enemy company with only a few of us. At the mere age of 13, I was granted the greatest privilege to serve directly by his side. I was given the name “Agria,” which represented the “stinger” of the chimera. I didn’t need my old first name anymore, and my surname was even more meaningless.

The Travis were nothing to me anymore. But, y’know, I had a long-standing grudge. I wouldn’t rest well if I didn’t pay them back tenfold for all the torment they put me through as a kid. That’s childish? Well, I was just applying the lessons my dear family had taught me. Wasn’t it a rule of society that you could mercilessly beat up those weaker than you?

I went back to the manor in broad daylight. After Aurignac and Gravett had both died honorably in the line of duty, Roberta and Magdalena seemed to have gone half-mad and were covering their eyes. They didn’t even notice I was there. They should be grateful I gave them an occasion to practice their theatrical wailing.

“Nadia! …You, you traitor!”

Celedonio was standing in my way. He was now the sole male heir, a pitiful, sniveling brat who suddenly had to shoulder the headship of the family.

“The Travis are ruined because of you! We should have never let that whore and her spawn into our house! You’re both witches who brought dirty blood and curses within our gates!”

“Come out on the battlefield, then. You’re a noble, you don’t even have to do anything and they’ll make you an officer in no time. Fight me like your beloved brothers did, and avenge them!”

…If you can.

When I pretended to thrust my wand at him, Celedonio let out a small scream and ran back into the manor. Aa-ah. I was just trying to scare him a little. To say I was relentlessly bullied by such a coward.

I clapped my hands lightly and unleashed a fire spell on the manor. Powered by my arte, the flames engulfed the massive building at incredible speed. Screams could sometimes be heard along with the sound of broken glass, but no one came out. They all perished one after the other, unable to reach the door because of the heat and smoke.

…Dad. My poor old dad, who’d been withering under his tailcoat, lost in thoughts no one could fathom; who’d played a fake life, burdened by a name too big for him. He probably burned to death holding tight to the happiness brought by the memories of his time with Mom. Dad, who had loved Mom and cherished me. But that was just a kind of selfishness that caused us so much trouble. In the end, he didn’t think about anyone but himself. Just like all those nobles, he was just a selfish old man looking for his own escape from reality.

I stopped by the grave I’d secretly built in a corner of the garden for Pupu and the other bird to pay my respects, and patted the headstone once.

All my hopes had been ripped to shreds. From then on, I would stake everything on His Highness. I would build my life on the dead bodies of his enemies.

I turned my back on the smoldering manor, the hems of my red dress flapping in the wind. Red, like the flowers blooming by Mom’s last resting place.

It is okay to grow up, Osomatsu - Part 1 : His Journey

Osomatsu looked at the sky, he had enough with his parents scolds of him not being a grown up, same with Choro's and Kara's rough treatment on him only just because he teased him a bit.

Osomatsu walked on the alley hall, he yawned a bit, "What was that Choromatsu, he does not have to twhack me on my head just because I borrowed his job searcher magazine without his permission, like come on. I am the eldest!"

The sky turned darker, it started raining out of nowhere, he put his hands together and blowed it, he only have his plain boring t-shirt on, "so cold!! Why it rains? Is my life is a comedy anime??" He sighed a bit and sat down under a roof of unknown, big and old building.

He yawned softly and drifted off asleep because of the non comforting cold and soft steps of rain falls to the earth.

A man with a pair and big menacing dark wings appeared, he felt slightly pity, his evil eyes showed his feeling of his first pity,

"My! My!!! Who is this little boy? Does he get lost? Poor lost soul, if he was dead I would rather dragged him to hell" The horned man spoke with half laughing voice to hid his pity, he carried Osomatsu and opened the old building's door and flew in,

Priest!Karamatsu just finished praying, he looked at the horned man, "ah..Osomatsu, the devil. Who are thou carrying on your arm?", he sat and smiled while putting his hands on his lap. "A new visitor? From where, or more like which time?"

Devil!Oso smiled nervously, "w-who knows...there lots of people, rains and things I never know before!" He beamed with excitement. "I think he got sick..his face is red!", he pulled priest!Karamatsu's cloak to Osomatsu and stared at Osomatsu for a long time. Priest!Kara laughed, "ahaahha you need to stop to stare at him like that, it will scare anyone, especially with your snake-like eyes", he added while giving devil!oso a light pats on his back. "Just put him on that sofa"

Osomatsu wiped his eyes slowly, he sat down on sofa, feeling puzzled amd scared of the unknown place and similar faces around him, "Choromatsu?" He looked at the goddess, Choromatsu sighed. "It is same name, do you know someone who looks like me?". Osomatsu silently gave a nod, his eyes expressed confusion, "yes! A same person! Are you another Choromatsu? You speak differently!", He tried his best to convinced that he will be okay, although he lost his role as big brother here, "My name is Osomatsu, the elde-uh I mean one of matsuno family household members!", he beamed with brightness on his tone.

The Goddess smiled, "very cheerful, I think you are a great member, my name is Choromatsu, I am the Goddess", he smiled and put his hand on Oso's forehead, "You are having a fever, becareful. This place is safe". Osomatsu held his hand, "What is this place? It is not in Japan right?", Osomatsu looked at his surrounding, "Choromatsu?" He looked up at him,

"I want to walk around, a fever is like this is like nothing" Osomatsu appeared won't get budged easily by simple persuasion. Goddess!Choro just shrugged a bit, "Definetly not Japan, just search for Karamatsu if you are hungry, or Ichimatsu, he wear a dress".

Osomatsu laughed, "pupu! A dress? That will be cool" He walked around the building, and he met Priest!Karamatsu who is sleeping on sofa, Osomatsu poked him curiously, "this is definetly a dream, just a weird dream, when I wake up, I will see my brothers again.." he whispered to no one while keep poking, priest!Karamatsu felt disturbed in his sleep, "Osomatsu! Cut it out.." he groaned. Osomatsu moved a bit, "..Sorry..." he sulked a bit and frowning, Priest!Karamatsu sighed in his sleep, "Don't sulk..."n "huh?? Sulking??" He opened his eyes and looked at Osomatsu, "SORRY! I must have been rude!" He pleaded to Osomatsu, "It is impolite to be rude to visitor. Do you want to get some food?". Osomatsu stopped sulking when he heard 'food' mentioned, he gave a quick nod, priest!Kara smiled and nodded.

"Thank God! I just bake a pie!".

Osomatsu and Priest!Karamatsu walked alongside each other to the kitchen, they ate together.

Meanwhile, Goddess!Choromatsu talked to Witch!Todomatsu. "Choromatsu, that man is not from this world, what to do? Should we help him?", Todomatsu was busy making potions as usual, Choromatsu shrugged and sighed, "He have trouble on his world, family fight, personal issues, he have trouble for growing up. How about we help him?". Todomatsu smiled, "Will he be like my younger brother? Yaay! Todomatsu will help!!", The Goddess could not help but laughed gently, "Let's help this stranger okay?".

Witch!Todomatsu flied with his broom to the kitchen, "Karamatsu!", he waved his hand, "Hello new guy!", Witch!Todomatsu could not help but feeling all excited, "My name is Todomatsu! You?". Osomatsu swallowed his pie, "Osomatsu Matsuno!", he looked delighted, "Todomatsu!". Todomatsu smiled then munched his pie share.

Nun!Ichimatsu walking passed them with dishevelled clothes and carrying a sychte, "tch. Tough mission, Good afternoon Karamatsu, Todomatsu, not devil Osomatsu. Wait...what?" He walked backward, "Where is the Osomatsu we all know?". Devil!Osomatsu snickered and poked nun!Ichimatsu, "Are you missing me?" He laughed while flying mid air, Osomatsu jumped out of his chair and ran after Devil!Oso. "Another me!! Do you have Jyuushi too?", Osomatsu looked excited and relieved, Goddess!Choro sighed. "Sorry to bring you here. Want me to call him here? He is busy", Osomatsu shook his head, "No need".

Goddess!Choromatsu smiled, "Aren't you a kind hearted boy? But filled with trouble". Osomatsu blushed a bit and nodded, "a-a bit yes. They are personal problems". Priest!Karamatsu touched Osomatsu's problem, "Your body is in ruin, your mind is in conflict. You worried too much, I am a reliable man for providing help, justice and freedom" Karamatsu put his hand on his chest with pride while winking on his left eye. Goddess!Choromatsu poked him while sighing, Osomatsu laughed a bit, "Karamatsu talks like a defense attorney!", he felt better than before. Devil!Oso was rather stunned with that laugh, it is warm and yet it is kinda lonely, he hugged Osomatsu and stay still, does not know why. Osomatsu was rather surprised then he pat his head.

"Osomatsu, what is your wish?".

Osomatsu frowned while he hugged devil!Oso back, "It is stupid. But, I want to grow up. My brothers and others wants me to do it". Witch!Todomatsu sighed, "The most difficult wish, I am not sure I am grown up too, it brings you anxiousness right?" Witch!Todomatsu looked at Goddess!Todomatsu. "We will do my best, so you can go back. How about helping Karamatsu for his domestic tasks for awhile?", Osomatsu nodded and smiled, "I can do it!".

The Bad Kids Episode 7 leggo

(This is sooo rambly and repetitive sorry)

- This episode was called 日記 “diary.” The most obvious interpretation of that would be referring to Chaoyang finally starting his summer diary assignment.

- That first scene of little Yan Liang riding on his trike reminded me of the scene in the Shining where the camera was following around the little boy as he rode around the hotel. Anyway, it just gave us some background information for Yan Liang, his dad, and Laochen.

- After Yan Liang saw his dad, obviously he was upset. His dad was his hero, and up until now, Yan Liang was always saying that his dad was a good person. I don’t doubt that his dad was a good dad to him, but Laochen put him in rehab for his drug use.  Like I said in a past post, I don’t think their story is meant to be anything shocking or special, it just helped us flesh out Yan Liang and his relationship to the mentor figures in his life.

- There’s tension between Laochen and Yan Liang that arises because of this. I do believe that Laochen sincerely thinks he’s doing the right thing for Yan Liang, but seeing the state that his dad is in, Yan Liang can’t help but wonder what Laochen ever did that was good for his dad. If being institutionalized did that to his dad, Yan Liang would rather risk it in the outside world on his own.

- Also seeing his dad in this state, that kind of continues to build Yan Liang’s self-sufficient attitude. Knowing that his dad can’t take care of him, he’s more determined to take care of himself and those he cares about.

- Yue Pu called her brother’s foster family and they said that her brother’s health was really deteriorating, which makes their situation that much more urgent. They decide to just take the 30,000 RMB and to give the camera to Zhang Dongsheng. HOWEVER, Yan Liang asks Zhu Chaoyang to make a copy to give to the police afterwards.

- Last post, I was like “what year are we in? why don’t they make a copy?” Well, in this episode, we find out more about how technology works here. Chaoyang had to go to a computer bar to have access to a computer, but it still seemed like he knew what he was doing. So I guess this show would’ve taken place in the early 2000s. That’s when my school had computers and we had computer class, but it still wasn’t really commonplace for kids to always be around computers. Some kids liked video games but it wasn’t totally weird to not touch a computer outside of school. So anyway, now there is a copy of the incriminating video in Chaoyang’s possession.

- This kind of confirmed my thoughts that Yan Liang is a person who wants to do good, but just has other priorities. He showed signs of wanting to do the right thing in previous episodes, but it’s just that he’s very good at prioritizing and if he has to break the law to tend to what he deems important, he will do it. Him still wanting to turn Dongsheng in seems to be a big decision, and I think he understands that this would lessen the guilt on Chaoyang too. And it makes sense that Yan Liang does have this strong sense of moral justice, if this Yan Liang is the same detective Yan Liang in the author’s other books. He has a sense of justice, but it just doesn’t always align with the official legal definition of justice.

- Chaoyang has fun swimming with his dad every week. I’d consider his love for swimming to be correlated to how well his relationship with his dad is. Chaoyang even practises holding his breath at home in his bathtub. His mom doesn’t look impressed, and I think it’s because she realizes that Chaoyang is growing closer with his dad and that’s a threat to her. Chaoyang even wrote about his dreams of swimming in the Pearl River (I think?) with his dad. So they’re kind of in a honeymoon phase of their bonding.

- There is a theme of dads in this episode. Chaoyang’s relationship with his dad is getting better, whereas Yan Liang has to re-evaluate what his relationship with his dad is. Granted, Chaoyang might be in for a rude awakening if Yongping or Wang Yao catch wind of Chaoyang being involved with Jingjing’s murder again.

- Chaoyang continues to confront Dongsheng on his own, which is dangerous. But I’m still trying to make sense of what happened to their confrontation. Part way through Chaoyang trying to threaten him, Ye Jun and Ye Chimin showed up asking about joining his lessons so the conversation gets derailed.

- This was the scene where Chaoyang found out about Dongsheng’s wife dying, and he didn’t put it past Dongsheng to have murdered her too. I think he was definitely shaken, and i guess it was a reminder that he was dealing with a murderer. While he was brave before, I think he lost a bit of steam.

- I am also trying to make sense of Ye Jun and Ye Chimin. Now that we’ve seen more of Ye Chimin, she seems a bit less bratty, but maybe it’s just because she’s with her dad. When Dongsheng was pouring water for his guests, Chimin asked Chaoyang about the classes very civilly lol. Anyway, I wonder what Ye Jun thought of the confrontation. Did he think it was weird that Chaoyang was at Dongsheng’s house? He noticed that Chaoyang was shaken when he found out about Dongsheng’s wife dying. In theory, that should be totally unrelated, so does Ye Jun think anything of it, or is he just filing that in his mind for later use?

- In hindsight, I realize that maybe Xu Jing’s death may not be as suspicious as I initially thought. Perhaps most people would’ve thought that she’d gotten suicidal after her parents died and decided to go with them, as opposed to jumping to the conclusion that Zhang Dongsheng was a serial murderer. Of course, the kids know better because they already know that he’s a murderer.

- My guess is that Dongsheng’s original plan was to sell his apartment and downgrade and that was how he was going to get 300,000 RMB for the video. But he got super touchy when the potential buyers were questioning his personal life and decided against the plan. And I think that was the beginning of him deciding to get rid of the kids once and for all.

- Dongsheng followed the kids after he tracked down where they hid the money, and followed them to the ship that Yan Liang and Yue Pu were staying at. He searched the place, looking for the camera but came up empty handed. It’s interesting that he found the money and didn’t take it, but I think it was because he didn’t want to arouse suspicion just yet. One of the dock workers mentioned that a fire at the dock would be very dangerous because most of the ships are wooden, so my guess was that he was going to set fire to the ships while the kids were in them, hoping that he’d kill them and the video evidence.

- The episode ends with Laochen and Dongsheng buying pop at the same beach stall. I don’t think it means anything in a literal sense. They both have no knowledge of each other, but I think perhaps that it’s a sign that their paths will cross soon. Even though Laochen is no longer a police officer, he’s the only one who’d take the kids seriously, and it is probably not past Dongsheng to kill the kids if they are a threat to his well-being.

Other thoughts

- Chaoyang is bonding with his dad now, but is he pulling away from his mom? To be honest, I don’t think he hates his mom. I think most of the uneasiness is his mom’s insecurity that she isn’t being a good mom and that she’s losing him to Chaoyang. Meanwhile, Chaoyang is just taking advantage of the fact that his dad will give him the time of day now. But as I mentioned in a previous post, I wonder if Chunhong will do something drastic (and illegal) to prove that she’s the better guardian for Chaoyang.

- I don’t think there’s that much more to say for Yan Liang’s story line, other than how his future will look like. The more heartwarming possibility would be for Laochen to take him in, but something tells me there’s a chance that Laochen may DIE in this show and that Yan Liang would be sent back to the institution anyway. But I think that at this point, we are pretty sure of who Yan Liang his, and I don’t think he’ll ever waver in his values.

- On the other hand, I do think that there is still something mysterious about Chaoyang and Pupu. Dongsheng has been trying to manipulate Chaoyang, and tried to cozy up to him by praising him and such. But finding about Xu Jing’s murder kind of reminded Chaoyang that he was talking to a freaking murderer. That being said, Chaoyang’s been building up that bravery recently, so I wouldn’t put it past him to do something reckless to protect the kids against him. It may be totally out of character for the Chaoyang at the beginning of the show, but Chaoyang’s been through a lot recently lol.

- As for Yue Pu, she hasn’t been doing much in the recent episodes. We did find out that Xinxin’s condition was very poor. If Xinxin dies, what then? Will Pupu willingly return to the institution? What will they do with the money though? They very well can’t just return it because the goodwill they have with Dongsheng has been lost now. The money to Dongsheng is second to getting rid of the pesky kids. If Dongsheng does come for them, I also would not put it past Yue Pu to do something drastic without hesitate to get rid of him, whereas I think Yan Liang and Chaoyang may waver just a bit.

- I’m trying to think of what Dongsheng’s new motivations are. Other than getting rid of the kids, what else does he want from life now that he no longer has a wife anymore? Does he want to try again for another family? He did see his wife more as a role-player (playing the role of “wife”) rather than someone he liked for her person.

- Man, I just really want the police on Dongsheng’s ass lol. Probably because I like the characters of Chen Guansheng and Ye Jun and I want to see them doing some more detective work lol.

NFL Mock Draft 2017 Cleveland Browns: Myles Garrett DE, If you are the type of person who looks through these mocks; you probably know that Myles Garrett and the Cleveland Browns match like pupu's and beer. I’m not here to make any crazy predictions, just looking to be as accurate as possible. San Francisco 49ers: Solomon Thomas DE, If one things for certain. I have no idea who the 49ers will pick even though its forever known that Myles Garrett has been projected to Cleveland. All I know is, it’s kind of funny to see how the 49ers are looking to build a “Seattle” style defense. Not that long ago these were the two best teams in the NFL and they went in the complete opposite directions. Chicago Bears: Jamal Adams S, The Bears are an even harder team to project. Just like the previous two teams they need a QB. However, no QB is worth the risk this high. I think Adams will be the pick, based on ability. Jacksonville Jaguars: OJ Howard TE, This pick seems like a flashy move that the Jaguars would do. Howard is a freak and the Jags just traded Julius Thomas. Howard can be what Thomas was suppose to be and more. Maybe they finally realized that they made a mistake picking Blake Bortles over Khalil Mack and need to surround Bortles with as much talent as possible in order to justify the pick. Besides, they just blocked off a potential pick for the team picking behind them who is in the same division. Tenesse Titans from (Rams): Marshon Lattimore CB, Lattimore has the highest ceiling of any corner in this draft. The Titans need a lot of help in the secondary and this pick would certainly help this young team grow. New York Jets: Mitchell Trubisky QB, There you have it, the first QB off the board. I think its time a team takes a QB as it’s starting to get easier for teams that need QBs to potentially start looking to move up. Maybe someone trades up for Trubisky but right now the Jets would be a good spot. TRADE* Cincinnati Bengals (from Chargers):  Leonard Fournette RB, The Bengals leapfrog the Panthers in order to get the top RB since Adrian Peterson. There is noway that Fournette would get past the Panthers, so the Bengals moving up is a great way to move on from Jeremy Hill. They were already looking at guys like Joe Mixon so why not give up a little to get a once in a generation talent. Carolina Panthers: Christian McCaffrey RB, Just because Fournette is off the board doesn’t mean that the Panthers won’t draft a RB. McCaffrey is a projected top 10 pick so it makes sense he goes here. Los Angelas Chargers (from Bengals):Jonathan Allen DE: Allen is a top three player in this class if not for some injury concerns. His slide down stops as the Chargers should be eager to turn in their draft card. A D-line with Bosa, Allen, and Ingram would give QBs all kind of problems. Buffalo Bills: Reuben Foster LB, The Bills need to improve on defense and Foster may be the hardest hitting linebacker in this draft. He has had some off field concerns but I don’t think that will stop the Bills from taking him. Pearing him up with former teammate Reggie Ragland looks like it would be a great duo. New Orleans Saints: Malik Hooker FS, The Saints have been looking for a ball hawking safety since the day they signed Jarius Byrd. We all know that didn’t work out, so now the Saints can try their luck once again. Hooker seems like he would be long gone but some injury issues (how ironic) have teams hesitating. Cleveland Browns (from Philadelphia): Mike Williams WR, The Browns are a team many are projecting to move up for Trubisky. However, I don’t see them moving up and giving up their precious picks. Williams will be a great asset for this team to draft, as 6’5” receivers that can run smooth routes don’t grow on trees. Arizona Cardinals: Patrick Mahomes II QB, The Cardinals have been linked to quarterbacks ever since Carson Palmers age started showing. Mahomes comes from a spread system so he can learn behind Palmer if he remains the starter. If not he’ll be ready to go in and air it out for Bruce Arians stretch the field style offense. Philadelphia Eagles (from Vikings): John Ross WR, The Eagles were linked to Brandin Cooks this offseason. I could see them picking Cooks 2.0 in Ross who may be even faster than Cooks. The Eagles are pretty set on defense so they can look to add another WR. Plus Torrey Smith and Alshon Jeffery could be both gone next year so why not take a talented WR here. Indianapolis Colts: Haason Reddick LB, Reddick has climbed mock drafts ever since the senior bowl. I think the Colts could use a Dontae Hightower type LB as Reddick can play the run, cover TEs, and rush the passer. Baltimore Ravens: Derek Barnett DE, Many think the Ravens will take a WR which they may do so. I chose to go a different route and trust the Ozzie way of going BPA. Barnett fits the bill and could be a nice rotational piece on a team with two aging pass rushers in Suggs and Dumerville. Washington Redskins: TJ Watt, I think the Watt last name will play a factor in TJ Watts name getting called earlier than expected. Albeit, I don’t think he will be the same player as his brother, he still is a good player. Anyways, the last names Pouncey, and Long helped get their brothers drafted earlier than most anticipated. Tennesse Titans: Corey Davis WR, The Titans select Davis with their second first round pick. That fills their two biggest needs with a lot more picks to go. It must be nice to be a Titans fan as their rebuild has been quicker than expected. This also has to do with Marcus Mariotas development as he has adapted quicker than experts were projecting. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Dalvin Cook RB, The Bucs are giving up on Doug Martin, and Dalvin Cook will be there to replace him. Cook and former teammate Jameis Winston will reunite to improve the Bucs already impressive offense. Denver Broncos: Malik McDowell DT, the Broncos could go either o-line or d-line here. I think they’ll go with McDowell as he could be the proper replacement for Malik Jackson who’s pressure from the interior made the Denver defense what it was two years ago when they won the SB. Detroit Lions: Taco Charlton DE, The Lions are another hard team to predict but I believe they’ll lean towards the home grown product. Charlton and Ziggy Ansah would make it hard for QB’s to throw it over two 6’6” ends. Miami Dolphins: Jarrad Davis ILB, Davis makes a lot of sense here for the Fins as they need a coverage backer who can also stop the run. Davis can do both and would be a great addition next to Kiko Alonso. New York Giants: Ryan Ramczyk OT, The Giants are a really good team, but they need help protecting Eli Manning. I was debating putting a defensive prospect here because I feel the Giants are extremely thin on defense and last year was the perfect storm of everyone staying healthy. That cannot be expected as injuries occur almost at will. Not saying I hope players get hurt, but you have to understand the Giants are a few key injuries away on defense from going from playoffs to 7-9. However I think Giants fans are still delusional that their teams defense could regress, so heres an offensive lineman to keep Eli healthy to score 30 points a game. Oakland Raiders: Zach Cunningham OLB, The Raiders are a few pieces away from being contenders. I believe the improvement needs to come on the defensive side of the football, because they can’t rely on Derek Carr to win shootouts. They won a few swing games (meaning the game could have gone either way) like against the Ravens, Saints, and Bucs. Anyways I was thinking of mocking a RB but now that Beast Mode is back for one more year they can look to address another need with this pick. Houston Texans: Deshaun Watson QB, Houston we have a problem. Anyone with an NFL IQ of 2 knows that the Texans are a QB away from contention. However, since they had to trade a second rounder to get rid of the horrendous $72M Awfweiler, this pick almost certainly needs to be Best Quarterback Available. Watson might actually be what the Texans need as he has come up clutch in many late game situations throughout his college career. Seattle Seahawks: Forrest Lamp OG, Alright anyone with an NFL IQ of -2 should know that the Hawks need to P-R-O-T-E-C-T Russell Wilson. If they don’t take an offensive lineman with this pick, they must be trying to get Russell Wilson killed before they have to pay him another 100M contract. Kansas City Chiefs: DeShone Kizer QB, This pick is similar to what the Cowboys did last year. Taking a Quarterback who has great prototypical stature and plugging them in and building a scheme to fit their needs. Kizer was a potential #1 pick before the college football year began. He needs a team that is nearly complete as he can be pedestrian and still win games i.e. Alex Smith. Dallas Cowboys: Kevin King CB, Speaking of the Cowboys I think they have a lot more holes than casuals assume. They lost two starting lineman in Ronald Leary and Doug Free (retirement) and pretty much their entire secondary. They could go a number of different ways but taking care of the secondary is a good start. Green Bay Packer: Marlon Humphrey CB, The Packers are in need of reinforcements and should go with BPA. To be quite frank they had a run that relied heavily on Aaron Rodgers, and while he may do that again next season its time to get some playmakers on defense. Pittsburg Steelers: Tre’Davious White CB, Another contender, another cornerback. The Steelers came up short last season and if they anticipate a return to the AFC title game with the Patriots (yeah they’ll be there again) they need to slow down Tom Brady’s passing attack. Atlanta Falcons: Takkarist McKinley OLB, The poor Falcons. Any team to lose a Super Bowl like that deserves a falling prospect due to injury. McKinley would be a nice edition across Vic Beasley, and if he isn’t healthy for the beginning of the season at least Dwight Freeny will not have the mid season wear and tear. Win-win in my opinion… oh wait nvm. New Orleans Saints (from Patriots): Charles Harris DE, With the second of their two first round picks. I expect the Saints to address the pass rushing hole that has been left open since Junior Gallete stormed out of town. It’s time for one last ride with the Payton and Brees duo. They’ll need to do everything possible in order to get back into the playoffs.
