why don’t we have like. ballet movies. not procams of a stage but like. little shop of horror/west side story style sets that are clearly SETS but much more than what a stage can be, and with more traditional movie filming. 

Would that just be too much for the ballerinas? i mean they perform multiple times a week if you plan your camera work you can probably not overwork the balleractors.

adding dialogue may be controversial but i think it would work to say things while still doing the mime gestures to subtly teach the audience that language
