Pyritized OMANYTE//OMASTAR & Pyritized KABUTO//KABUTOPS
A Pyritized fossil is one where during the formation of said fossil it becomes iron pyrite, a mineral know as "fool's gold" due to its golden shine. This process is common in fossils from the Paleozoic era like Ammonites and Trilobites
This versions of OMANYTE and KABUTO are revived from such pyritized fossils, this not only changes their color, giving them both a golden shell, but also changes their type, now being Water/Steel type

Captorhinus skulls with pyrite and calcite crystal growth.
Captorhinus were anapsids from the Permian - meaning their skulls did not have the normal fenestration that diapsid reptiles or synapsid mammals have. Named for their hooked snout, these reptiles had a pineal(or "third") eye - a small photoreceptive spot on the top of the skull not seen in the pictures here.

This Pyritized Ammonite Fossil is spectacular on all levels. It’s actually a pseudomorph - it started as an ammonite shell then morphed into pyrite!

Pyrite is a naturally occurring mineral composed of iron and sulfur, with the chemical formula FeS₂. It belongs to the sulfide group of minerals and is known for its metallic luster and brass-yellow color, often mistaken for gold, hence the nickname "fool's gold." Read more here:
