okay so by my understanding this is everything that's been happening in titanfall (apart from servers and maps being fixed):

the advocate network has been periodically posting new messages of the day for the past month, the current three (I think, might be more that I've just missed) are:

a new gamemode [???] was added with/after the last message with the text

which translates to

"msg": "From Candy To Copper", CORRUPTION DETECTED

I've seen some people say "candy to copper" could be in reference to going from the sixth to seventh anniversary because apparently candy and copper are associated with sixth and seventh anniversaries respectively? something to do with gifts?

the gamemode is apparently the floor is lava (I'm basing this off reddit posts because I can't get a match for it)

and also some people have apparently been experiencing fall damage in their games with no explanation (dying from jumping out of the dropship at the start of the match, jumping off buildings, etc)

the killfeed message for dying to fall damage is [Invalid] "username/gamertag", which is apparently the same as dying in the floor is lava gamemode

the happy hour for the advocate network has apparently been changing the past week, which it's supposedly never done

also the thing with the unix timestamps of TF|1, TF|2, and apex's release dates in the apex patch notes

you need to understand limbo is a sakura so in every way shape form seimei must in essence either be an emiyaface (unfailing hero who saves even the evil) or (more likely to me) a kireiface (obsessed with human evils beyond human virtues). nagiko who is implied to be ashiya doumans student who so unfailingly treats him like hes a human before the beast that he is and murasaki the student of seimei who does not deliver seimeis message to douman and despite the hatred there is also empathy. seimei once saved the human ashiya douman but would there be the same mercy for the alter ego limbo? even worse than mercilessness, there might even be fascination with such an empty curse. murasakis narrator spell having been called a prank by seimei but also existing as something that derives the meaning behind peoples actions and words and then setting her up next to limbo in chaldea, letting her borrow the tsuchigumo, the fascination with horror movies that reveal grotesque sides of humanity, seimei who also once exposed and led tamamo to her death when tamamo was also someone never accepted by humans.

nagiko as a parallel to limbo in being so unfailingly human and full of life -> the fascination with "evil" characters like mephistopheles and the desire to see the humanity within them that they are so clearly crying out to understand-> limbo the programming code/grudge who is so empty and devoid of meaning he cant yet understand but is capable of wanting to take that step even if it would be futile

murasaki who is gloomy and isolated yet holds a genuine love for stories and humans -> reference with holmes who is an arbiter of justice that would sacrifice anything to defeat a great evil like moriarty, someone capable of discerning any truth presented but cannot share it -> seimei the jovial man who may appear bright and happy and human but is far more mechanical and empty than even the grudge which follows him, a fascination with evil born entirely to dismantle it

murasaki who does not have it in her to reveal the truth that while lord seimei may have once save the human ashiya douman, there is no such understanding with the empty curse that yearns not for love but for understanding. a limbo which cannot truly revel in human evils because it does not understand human love.

What vindication was there in the skull that limbo presents you. There was no glory in having killed this animal.

moriarty who was the greatest evil holmes had ever faced not because he was inherently so, but because moriarty determined that in order to complete his work he Has to become evil -> ashiya douman who had become evil not because of a desire for evil but because it was the step needed to possibly surpass seimei. an evil force out of its depth. a butterfly longing for humanity caught in the web of an all knowing spider.

Robot preds looming over prey

(I imagine the pred to be pretty huge, but the size is up to you)

The prey stands on a bridge/ a rooftop/ a cliff/ a mountain/ any high place works, suddenly a shadow is cast over the prey. When the person looks up, they see the pred's face, staring at them.

Or, the prey stands on the ground or smth, when the prey turns around to see what causes the gigantic shadow that is cast over them, they only see the pred's feet/legs. The prey has to look up at the pred to see the pred's face.

If the prey is standing on an elevated surface, the Robot might reach their hand out to grab the person.

The prey could try to run away, but because they're on a higher surface, they are easier to capture.

The pred could even just use their mouth to pick 'em up, if the prey is on high enough ground.

The prey would only see these giant robotic jaws decend on them.

Or if the prey is on the ground infront of the pred robot, the pred might need to chase them, like a human trying to catch a mouse.

If the prey doesn't run they probably just get scooped up and gulped down.

Maybe the robot tosses them into the air and catches them in their mouth, before gulping them down.

so for some reason fromsoft decided a bunch of the high-damage high stagger weapons that can chunk half your health or more in a single hit should be attacker-sided.

which means if the latency is ass then your opponent will hit you with attacks that completely miss you on your screen — and when I say completely miss I mean their laser/bazooka shell/etc is straight up at least a full fifteen to twenty to a full hundred metres away from your ac

and you'll still eat all that damage and impact because while fromsoft are amazing at game design and art direction and all that their netcode is hot garbage

like I still love the game but god is it frustrating dying to someone because they shoot at a point a hundred metres away from you in the sky while you're standing on the ground and instantly stagger you and delete half your ap

#if they really want to have attacker-sided ranged weapons I'd expect it'd be better if it was only for the low damage/stagger weapons #I might be wrong of course but since the common stance seems to be that the only things that should be attacker-sided are melee weapons #I think I'm not being too unreasonable there #random robot rambles #armored core 6 #also I should note: I can and have dodged lcbs and bazookas. I beat someone using dual lcbs without much issue #it's just annoying as hell #because the only two ways to semi-reliably dodge high damage+Stagger A-S weapons is to spam qb or spam side-dodge while ab'ing #because if the latency is crap (and/or you're not sure if it is) you just have to kind of guess when the opponent is going to fire #and qb out of the way something like 300-600ms before they actually begin the firing animation/pull or release the trigger

I find it really neat that there are kits you can buy that just have little control boards on them.

I've recently got into building kits/Lego set since they are great for scratching that creative inch when I'm too burnt out to do any of the thinking needed for my own personal art.

I mean hopefully I will soon not be so burn out that I can art for myself more again. But atleast until then I can be amused by tiny motors and simple circuit boards

I refuse to hop in a Zoox car in my entire life if I can avoid it. I refuse to hop into any self-driving robo taxi (or robotaxi) that uses AI to keep it’s passengers “safe.” If this is actually a service they are legally allowed to provide publicly, there’s about to be a whole bunch of new laws made in hopefully very little time! Now you know me, obviously fuck the law, many laws are unjust, but sometimes we need some regulations to keep up with the shit that rich Silicon Valley tech bros “put out” while claiming it’s allegedly their own work. These rich bastards are dangerous! Now I’ll pass along the questions that my partner & I jokingly pondered. If something happens that the AI & detection systems doesn’t know how to handle, will us as the passengers be held legally responsible say if a child gets punted into the air by the self driving car & we can’t do anything to stop it? What if we’re asleep assuming the car is safe & it runs over a legally endangered animal? What if we’re on our phones & these self-driving robot cars cleave someone in half? What if it crashes into someone’s private property? Are we held responsible in any of these cases or is the big rich guy’s company? If it’s anything like Tesla, you should get your kids or pets out of the road when you see a Zoox car coming, it could allegedly cause some mortalities. Two more things. What’s stopping someone from hijacking, hacking, or planting a virus on these self-driving taxi services? What if one of them gets hijacked to take someone to a human trafficker meetup spot? Will the company be held responsible at all? The gifs below pretty much summarizes my feelings.
