beat rift apart for the first time spoiler-free a couple weeks ago and i LOST IT when 'join me at the top' played in the credits. Why would you hide a masterpiece like that in the end credits of the game 😭😭

Ok ok, just imagine
Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart
But with the argument between Nefarious and Qwark from the movie while everyone, including Emp. Nefarious, is watching.
I just want to see his and Rivet’s reactions to “You called me King of the Nerd-Herd! >:(”

Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time - Valkyrie Citadel:
"Time for a level focused on action and platforming. This is a pretty nide level with some iconic boss fights. Sure, the trap sections isn't the best but it's still a decent level."
PS: the gameplay used for this gifset is not mine. The original video belongs to the user: bdcool213, on Youtube.

For a little discord group i'm in, I made some snacks based off iconic ps2 games from my childhood. Sly Cooper, Jak and Daxter, and Ratchet and Clank! ( Plus an amogus as requested ).

20 years ago, Ratchet and Clank was born, starting the legacy of an iconic PlayStation franchise. Now, two decades later, we revisit the original Ratchet and Clank title, created by Insomniac Games, and look back at the series that started it all!

I really loved the opening level of Insomniac Games Spider-Man 2 with Sandman, mostly because of how big and dramatic it is. This gives me confidence that something similar could happen in the next Ratchet & Clank game. Actually why limit to making the opening bigger when they should aim to make the next game bigger than Rift Apart, especially if said game will be about Ratchet and co. having an adventure in the Lombax Dimension.
Like I've mentioned countless times in the past, I have a lot of ideas for a Lombax Dimension Ratchet & Clank game and one of them involves the opening. I could see it having Ratchet and his friends going over everything before they fly into the Lombax Dimension, giving the player some exposition explaining things about characters and plot point from older games Rift Apart didn't mention the to new fans, along with some nice moments like what they hope to do in the Lombax Dimension and help Ratchet get excited for the trip. This leads to a happy vibe where they finally take off to the dimension but literally the second Ratchet and his friends fly into the Lombax Dimension, they end up flying into the start of a BIG battle with huge explosions and picking up communications talking about battle plans and such until we hear one asking who is escorting that civilian ship into the battle and why they are using an old Lombax ship model, which Aphelion would take offense at.
I think this could be the first game where you start with aerial gameplay, as there is a small segment where you have to avoid damage in Aphelion till the heroes are forced to land. This would be the beginning of the tutorial as you would move around to regroup with the others, dealing with threats like explosions taking out bridges requiring you to use iconic gadgets like the Heli-pack and Gravity Boots to get around, and dealing with the dangerous wildlife and some enemies trying to kill you until Ratchet and Clank are attacked by a Lombax but after seeing he isn't the enemy, the Lombax quickly tells Ratchet to find his friends and meet him at some coordinates he gives them.
I also could see you switching back and forth from Ratchet and Clank and Rivet and Kit during the opening like in Spider-Man 2, but I personally think a game about being in the Lombax Dimension game shouldn't involve Rivet and Kit doing much or have many gameplay segments as them. Instead the game should heavily focus on Ratchet dealing with the things that happen in the game, along seeing other characters have there own storylines such as Talwyn finding her long missing father and dealing with him increasingly risking his own life to help the Lombaxes.
Do you agree that the next Ratchet & Clank game should be just as big as the Spider-Man 2 opening?
