Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time - Valkyrie Citadel:
"Time for a level focused on action and platforming. This is a pretty nide level with some iconic boss fights. Sure, the trap sections isn't the best but it's still a decent level."

Tolkien's drawing of the crown (from Tolkien Gateway):
Tumblr media
The description in Return of the King:
Then the guards stepped forward, and Faramir opened the casket, and he held up an ancient crown. It was shaped like the helms of the Guards of the Citadel, save that it was loftier, and it was all white, and the wings at either side were wrought of pearl and silver in the likeness of the wings of a sea-bird, for it was the emblem of kings who came over the Sea; and seven gems of adamant were set in the circlet, and upon its summit was set a single jewel the light of which went up like a flame.
Excerpt from a letter from Rhona Beare:
Question 4: What clothes did the peoples of Middle-earth wear? Was the winged crown of Gondor like that of a Valkyrie, or as depicted on a Gauloise cigarette packet?
Tolkien's response in Letter 211:
The Númenóreans of Gondor were proud, peculiar, and archaic, and I think are best pictured in (say) Egyptian terms. In many ways they resembled 'Egyptians' – the love of, and power to construct, the gigantic and massive. And in their great interest in ancestry and in tombs. (But not of course in 'theology' : in which respect they were Hebraic and even more puritan – but this would take long to set out: to explain indeed why there is practically no oven 'religion',* or rather religious acts or places or ceremonies among the 'good' or anti-Sauron peoples in The Lord of the Rings.) I think the crown of Gondor (the S. Kingdom) was very tall, like that of Egypt, but with wings attached, not set straight back but at an angle. The N. Kingdom had only a diadem (III 323). Cf. the difference between the N. and S. kingdoms of Egypt.
What Peter Jackson chose instead:

Furiosa spoilers under the cut 🚗
It's actually staggering how much that movie did not need to exist. Gonna bullet point some thoughts
My sarcastic lol @ the lightning fast sisters cameo at the end where they're all played by completely different people. the quick flash of Cheedo's eyes bc they managed to get Courtney Eaton back for three seconds didn't appease me
I guess it technically passes the bechdel test bc right at the start Furiosa says "be still" to Valkyrie but iirc that's the only pass moment. I know not passing the bechdel test doesn't mean the movie is automatically bad I just think it's interesting considering it's following Fury Road
"she talks to her mother" I don't think they ever said her mum's name out loud
You know how mad max fury road could have a silent version w no dialogue + isolated soundtrack and it worked because you could tell what's going on anyway? This movie has the opposite problem. Way too much talking. They over-explain everything
The best bit was the prolonged torture scene at the end where Hemsworth explains Furiosa's entire character arc and the message of the movie out loud to her and also us
Even his teddy had an arm missing, replaced with a barbie arm. Thanks. We get it
Her arm made robot noises
Actually threw MY arms up in disgust when she went back for that boy she supposedly had a romance with despite the film never bothering to actually show/explain that. I'm calling it a romance because the actors did. I guess it was supposed to be a Capable/Nux parallel but it didn't work for me and not just because I'm a dyke and a hater OK, if you're gonna do a ROMANCE, DO A ROMANCE. don't leave me sitting there wondering why Furiosa is risking it all for some guy she's had ONE conversation with, especially after he offers to get her away from the Citadel and back to where she came from, WHICH IS HER ENTIRE MOTIVE EVER SINCE SHE WAS TAKEN
I DON'T GET IT
Them trying to emulate Max and Furiosa's instinctive, perfect we have to trust each other moment by having Jack and Furiosa... look at each other Meaningfully fifty times while they were supposed to be driving cars? Don't make me laugh! You will never be them!!
Max being there for a second wasn't cute! I rolled my eyes
Same at "remember me?" MAKE UP YOUR OWN STUFF
So many things happened because they needed to happen (plot demanded it) and didn't make any sense in context. My favourite was when Furiosa rode her motorcycle up a dune to get away after cutting off her arm and the biker gang couldn't follow her up there for some reason
So much Christian imagery... threw me off tbh
Considering it's Furiosa's movie it sure isn't about her + she doesn't speak at all for almost the first half
This movie was way too long
I called it about the peach seed
I called it that she cut her own arm off
George Miller read some of my blog but not all of it
You know how The People Eater rubbed his nipple that one time and it was delightfully weird and gross and got a good reaction? Well in this movie he's constantly rubbing it, the whole time. Really lessens the impact of the nipple rub
As you can see this movie has made me insane
Like this is not really about the nipple rub but do you get what I'm saying here
Furiosa spends most of the movie hiding her hair (because as we all know, having long hair immediately identifies you as a woman) and then when her head covering gets knocked off and her hair is revealed (omg she's a girl) she leaves it like that and becomes an Imperator. On what planet
The history man frames the entire movie for some reason. Do they show Miss Giddy? Take a wild guess
One of the coolest parts of fury road was that a gang of bikers ended up being hardcore wasteland grannies w guns and loose morals in response to people fucking around for far too long without finding out. Did this movie have anything like that for me? Take a wild guess for a second time
The car fight scenes weren't even that great. Couldn't remember hearing any good music under them (brother in arms truly lightning in a bottle) and they went on for too long which feels wild to say about suped up car battles in the australian wasteland: 2 but oh well. This is how I feel. Fury Road was so good at carefully measuring out high octane action and then downtime and careful, quiet character introspection and this movie had no idea what it was doing either way
Honestly I don't hate it but I feel like it was a waste of time and it doesn't need to exist at all. A real nothing experience. Am I going to see this movie ten times in cinemas? No I am not even going to see it twice in cinemas
I don't know what I was expecting.
oh my god also they played clips of Fury Road over the credits as if to say "remember how fucking good this is in comparison to the dumb shit you just watched"

Ok now that I’ve had some time to think about it;
Everything I liked and disliked about Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga:
Likes:
- That they tied in the one good thing from the comic, being Furiosa’s peach stone.
- Same goes for adding Scabrous from the game.
- Max’s cameo in his own franchise.
- Seeing the Green Place.
- Seeing Gastown.
- That even Joe of all people immediately clocked that the girl with Dementus was absolutely not willingly with him at all. (Takes one to know one I guess.)
- Seeing the Citadel not take Dementus seriously at all at first, basically the whole scene where they have his gang pick a random warboy to show him exactly how much he fucked up by picking a fight.
- All of the air fight stuff with the parasailing bikers.
- That Dementus and Octoboss both have their own version of Joe’s icon.
- That the warlords and Joe’s sons canonically hang out together at the Citadel.
- The shitty 3 wheeled car.
#1 - Praetorian Jack 🥰
Dislikes:
- That Peeps and Bullet Farmer weren’t at their towns at all the whole movie, especially when they tell Farmer to go get everything ready and he’s still at the Citadel afterwards. It makes it feel like the only reason they’re not at their towns is that they need them to survive to Fury Road and needed an easy reason Dementus didn’t kill them when he took over both times.
- How disappointing the Bullet Farm ended up looking.
- That we only get to see the Green Place for like 2 minutes (mostly only the outskirts of it) and other than establishing that Valkyrie and Furiosa were friends we get absolutely no other connections for Furiosa herself in her community.
- We got so little canon backstory for Furiosa other than the exact amount of days it took for her mother to die and they didn’t do anything with that, I personally looked over at my friend sitting next to me and held up two fingers on the morning of the second day thinking they were going to build suspense because the audience started the movie with that knowledge but no, they don’t make it clear how much time is passing.
- Furiosa mostly being hyper competent as a kid except for following her mom’s instructions to go the fuck home and walking straight into the enemy camp where she’s being killed.
- That Furiosa seems to have spent almost no time in the vault (possibly only one day?) before escaping and becoming part of the cog fodder then mechanic crew. That it doesn’t even seem like anyone bothered looking for her. That the only wives we see from this movie seem to be with Joe willingly, desperate to stay wives rather than be abandoned or demoted to milkers. Which I guess highlights their parallel to the warboys better, being brainwashed cogs in Joe’s machine. But the whole “everyone but Furiosa being cool with being in sexual slavery” gave me rancid vibes. It just seemed like a bizarre choice given how desperate the wives were to get away in Fury Road.
- Having basically everything terrible done to Furiosa in her backstory be done by Dementus rather than Joe. By the end of the movie it literally had me questioning why she even personally hated Joe as much as she did in Fury Road to even motivate the original “Remember Me”. Like don’t get me wrong, he’s still a warlord running a cult that dehumanizes everyone in it down to what they can do for him but why does Furiosa the titular protagonist hate him personally? He got her away from the man who originally stole her and killed her mother (for obviously selfish reasons by essentially bargaining for her like an object) and offered her what he and at least some of the other wives at this time considered a “”good”” future with him. After she (nearly instantly) escaped she became a Praetornian and then openly presented as a woman which Joe seems to not give a shit about at this point. And that’s kind of it. She shows up to tell Joe about Dementus’ trick which he believes and acts on. She steals his son’s car and gets Dementus herself which not only seems to have incited no punishment but he also lets her do that stupid tree thing to him. They gutted all of the implied horrors that Joe might have committed towards her to give the lesser villain from this movie more teeth and if taken as canon actively lessens Fury Road as a story.
- They didn’t even have her bond with any of the wives from this movie. . .
- Seriously guys, outside our protagonist there are basically no named women in this movie besides like her dead mom and that one biker who had the cool facial scaring, I’m not sure if she had a name in the movie so benefit of the doubt here. And I guess kid!Valkyrie for 20 seconds.
1# The stupid tree thing. Why. The actual fuck. Would Furiosa plant her peach stone in the Citadel before she knew she was going to stay there???? If she still planned to escape back home, and she did as we see 30 seconds after she gets the first peach from the tree, then why would she have planted that fucking tree in the first place with the expectation of abandoning it??? Also, just stupid. I go into a Mad Max movie with the intention of accepting everything. My willing suspension of disbelief for this franchise is so willing guys. But this is probably, hands down, one of the worst makes absolutely no sense endings in the franchise aside from Max “saving” those kids in the oasis with fresh water by leading them to the abandoned city for some reason in Thunderdome.

okay so, having now seen furiosa: a mad max saga opening night yesterday and having Ruminated on my thoughts, I am going to give my two-pence on the movie even though nobody asked or wanted it - you're getting it anyway!
but before going into the full thing, I actually re-watched fury road today, bc I just wanted to contrast it now that we know furiosa's full story that lead her to her trek in fury road, and I just had mad max on the brain (and also I love that movie).
spoilers under the cut below!!
first, I already knew before seeing the prequel, that that scene in fury road where furiosa breaks down after learning about what happened to 'the green place,' was going to now hit 2x as hard once we learn what really happened the moment she was ripped away, and...yeah, it's super painful to watch. it was already a very emotional scene, but now having known how much pain and struggle it costed her, how many times furiosa desperately made her bet to get back home and fell short - you can really feel her grief
funnily enough though, I was shocked to find myself tearing up not during that scene, but when furiosa was reunited with the last of the many mothers. having just watched her ripped away so unfairly as a defenseless child, her whole world destroyed and clinging onto this dream of one day, getting to embrace her family - you can't help it!! I started tearing up when the other woman rushed to furiosa, embracing her with the gentle touch of their foreheads, 'this is our furiosa' 😭 like..she did it!! she made it home!!! - also, I learned in the credits - that woman was actually the same little girl, valkyrie, in furiosa who was her friend!!! that girl saw her friend get snatched and pulled away from their home, and then finally, both grown, they reuinite! I just thought that was sweet
what max says to her about hope in the scene after they find the mothers, 'if you can't fix what's broken..you'll go insane.' - my mind immediately jumped to dementus. we get this glimpse that he once had a wife and child(ren) he loved, that were either taken from him or killed, and he tells furiosa in their stand-off more or less how that destroyed him mentally, further plunging him into this hateful madman who acts so cruelly to others. he couldn't 'fix' it by getting them back ('I want them back!!' 'I can't!!'), the one thing he loved that kept him sane, and so he lost his humanity.
I saw a post of someone saying how ricktus's death (immortan joe's son) is 10x more satisfying after having seen what he (nearly) did to child furiosa...abso-fucking-lutely (though, I think with that in mind, furiosa should've gotten a part in it..)
also, max & and furiosa's dynamic after knowing about her & jack...the parallels! the parallels!! their gradual bond of trust, how fluidly they work together to kill/fight the enemies of the citadel akin to her and jack vs. dementus and gang, etc.
this saga, of course, is about hope and redemption, alluded to in both fury road and the prequel. in fury road, max says (I think in his opening monologue) how he was once strived to be a 'righteous warrior', who could do good and help others. later, when one of the wives finds the warboy nux, he's distraught bc he thinks his chances for greatness are gone, but then she tells him that maybe, he's destined for something greater - and that would be, of course, later sacrificing himself to save her and the rest by crashing the rig into the war party. in furiosa, jack says how his parents were valiant warriors, and how he hopes one day, he could be the same - also, later, fulfilling that by sacrificing himself so that furiosa might escape dementus and the destroyed gastown. it's just such an amazing string of parallels - all three men, looking to do something great, and then, through furiosa, they're given that chance and achieve something good even amongst the destruction!! but it's only bc of furiosa, this harbinger of hope, that they do so - she's the tie between them all, the embodiment of that goodness!!! it's! just! so! good!!!
honestly there's probably way more parallels out there I'm sure ppl will bring up, but those were the things that struck me. now, onto my actual thoughts on the prequel.
--I'll start by saying I was unbelievably excited to see this movie. I'm annoyed though, bc despite knowing about it and wanting to see it once it was released, I literally only learned it was coming out a week before the release date. straight up, the press for it was so poor, not once did I hear about it before the trailer randomly crossed my feed one day - and considering how popular fury road is, I find that bizarre (but, I'll bet you a good couple bucks, that the press/hype was deliberately poor bc of the movie company execs, due to this being a female lead film 😠) - but it did mean I didn't have to wait too long, and that I did watch the trailer about 13 times on my own accord until then..
--having read the reviews, I do agree, it is a bit slower then fury road - but, that's really only bc it's a character story instead. fury road takes places in the current time of the film and the actions that follow, whereas the prequel is specifically about furiosa, so it's honed less to the action and more about a certain character, in my opinion. but it's just as good for a character story! it does an excellent job of unfolding furiosa's journey, and really, if you're gunna compare everything in the franchise to fury road, it's never gunna live up. that said, there's still excellent action and real nail-biting moments.
--I will say though, that I found it almost...darker, then fury road? fury road is definitely intense and there's of course violence, but it never openly tips into anything past pg-13; the darkness that is there, is more or less touched upon by the narrative (like, we can get a sense of what must've happened to the wives (ie assault) and why they escaped once we see how immortan joe regards them as property, the suffering furiosa must've went through by the pure vitriol look she gives him when their cars are side-by-side and later, 'remember me?' before killing him (my favourite scene)). but it's never explicit - furiosa is. from the torture of her mother, to that scene right after the max cameo when he drops furiosa off at the citedel's underground where I literally had to cover my eyes and ask my friend to say when it was done..there's an overtone of darkness that gives to the tragedy of furiosa, this child molded from pain (not to mention, again, that scene of ricktus and her as a child which to me, was the most nerve-wracking moment). fury road gives you a glimpse, but furiosa doesn't hold back.
--chris hemsworth, meanwhile, made an excellent villain. not just as an actor, but dementus as a character was fantastic. he's got lots of great lines and brings in a lot of humor - he's both deranged and erratic, while also clever and simultaneously childish, and mostly, cruel. he's wonderfully dynamic. bringing in a backstory of losing his wife/child was a great added piece to his story (I love a good backstory), and the way he takes the loss of his kid and tried to mold it around furiosa, tries to fill that empty piece inside, was a great choice in terms of their dynamic. it made him more then just a mad-man who stole a child for yuks - he had a deeper desire to tote furiosa around, almost as a security blanket in the same way the teddy bear also acts as one. his final monologue was great - the ramblings of a hateful man, but it was, in the end, what got furiosa to see past vengeance, and become better - to choose hope, and not destruction.
--anya taylor-joy did a great job I thought - while I wish furiosa had more lines, she made up for it in just the facial expressions and how full they were, really giving us a glimpse of what furiosa was feeling. even still, it would've been nice to have known what was going on in her head, or even hear her talk about her past - the green place, and then dementus, are the pure driving force of her character, yet she doesn't ever mention or grapple with her grief around these things, simply stays silent (except for the final confrontation with dementus). I would've loved maybe, if she had confided in jack, or maybe even one of the wives, to give more depth to her feelings.
--I also wish furiosa could've bonded with someone else besides jack, or at least before him. it would've been nice for to have had at least one ally, or, I dunno, a friend? like that war boy who had dwarfism - she seemed almost sad, when realizing after the battle that he was dead. instead, she's alone, but a fellow misfit friend could've been nice.
--speaking of jack, loved him! thought he was great! it's unfortunate his part was so short, would've loved delve into his background (also, I'm as gay as they come, but he's like..an objectively Good Looking Man, so well done all around).
--I was really nervous, for how they were gunna do the romance. I was against it initially, bc the great thing about fury road, was that romance was not at all forced into the narrative - you can read that between max & furiosa if you want, but for one of the very, very few times when a woman and man team up, romance wasn't forcefully wedged in, and instead they could be respected allies. so I was skeptical - and then I totally fell for them. they were so sweet! the two actors had great chemistry - their bond was just so soft. the way, after they crash and are caught by dementus, furiosa, who can barely stand, gently leans herself into jack's shoulder, sweetly muttering to each other as he leans his forehead back against hers, like 😩😩 it was so lovely, and so tragic. you could really feel the respect and care they had for each other; it was so organic, bc jack genuinely wanted to help furiosa. he respected her and asked nothing of her - he was a purely good man, and through that, furiosa was able to open up to him and trust him. it's the great curse of the mad max universe though - no romance can escape it's claws, same with how nux and one of the wives were torn apart. in my heart of hearts though, there lives a little AU fic where dementus doesn't catch them, and they make their way back to the green place and live happily ever after with a kid perhaps, and maybe, furiosa and him go back to later rescue the wives (they say, like they're not thinking of already writing that very fic...).
--one more thing about furiosa I wanted to mention, if I can call back to earlier saying how she becomes a beacon of hope for the various men that enter her life (and the women too, when you think of the wives..) - that, despite all this horror handed to her, at the very end of the rope, she gives into her hero's heart. time over, we see, even as the destruction of the wasteland chips away at her, furiosa can never quite betray her heart. she runs back to her mother even after being pushed to leave, she goes back for jack despite having the perfect escape to finally make it back home, and in the end, takes all her hurt and anger wrapped up in dementus, and turns it and him into something that can bring good into the world. it's about choosing good, above all!! a hero's heart, even in the darkest of worlds!!!
--the trailer really emphases the green place, but we only see it for like...a couple minutes? I was looking forward to more lore about it, maybe seeing some of it's inhabitants like the mothers. but furiosa is taken immediately and then her mother starts her hunt after her, and that's it. kinda a bummer.
--there's a couple inconsistencies here and there - like, when furiosa is first brought to where the wives are kept, there's gotta be about 20 women in there, roughly. but then, as she becomes a young adult, we see at the very end her approach the 5 wives from fury road (I was expecting a call-back, so loved that) and it looks like there's only them there - what happened to the rest of the women??? did they all die in childbirth?? also, when furiosa runs away and hides herself as a warboy/mechanic, how did no one know she was gone?? it seems odd, since immortan joe specifically picked her out and probably has a mental line-up of all his 'treasures', you'd think he'd notice. or how, later on, the new 'imperior' with jack looks oddly similar to that young girl ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
--also, I wanna know how furiosa got away with being the only female imperior - you'd think immortan joe might snag her away instead to be a wife bc she's young and viable, or that she'd be either dismissed or preyed upon by his sons/the other men. maybe because she was partnered with jack it was easier, but that was kinda confusing.
--final thing, bc this post is already too long - my last gripe is mainly about furiosa's dynamic with immortan joe. in furiosa, her revenge is purely motivated towards dementus, but then, switching to fury road, she now holds contempt and anger towards the warlord. part of what I wanted to see in the film, was her past with immortan joe; we didn't know initially how furiosa got to the citadel, but my interpretation, was always that possibly (because she was branded with the logo on her neck) she was brought on as a wife, inevitably abused by him, and then something happened where she was no longer useful as a wife (maybe an accident that cost her her arm) but was still useful as a tool. but, immortan joe isn't really looked at in the prequel; he's here and there, but doesn't show any particular cruelty or act towards furiosa that I was expecting. that vitriol she shows in fury road, and of course, 'remember me?', makes you think there was something there to fuel furiosa's revenge. instead, nothing really occurs between them - of course, furiosa is brought on to breed him children and then is expected to do his every bidding in getting supplies, so, I think we're supposte to assume that she has seen how cruel he is up close, and so acts against him. still, I was expecting something deeper there.
all in all, I loved it and had a great time. fury road will always be one of my favourites, but this is a great addition. fury road is great on all fronts; a fascinating world, great characters, amazing action, a well-made and clearly cared for story, but the thing I love most - is that it's about hope. it's about choosing, every day, despite the horrors around you, to get up and hope for something better. to do something better, even at your own cost. it's about hope and what we mean to each other when we extend it. and I just love that so much
go see furiosa! support it! it's a great time!

Humans: We named this planet Eden Prime. Eden being the biblical flourishing garden where the Abrahamic God created humanity, and Prime meaning first. This nebula we named after the Greek goddess Athena, a Goddess of war and wisdom. This warship we named Valkyrie after the maidens of Odin, the Norse warrior women who hand selected fallen warriors on the battle field to carry to Valhalla.
Also humans: We named our own planet dirt. Oh and Luna? Our moon? It means moon. Sol, the name of our sun, just means sun. I named my ship SS Deez Nuts and the placeholder name for the new planet we found is Pizza cause that’s what I was eating when we found it
Like, humans are so good and also so bad at naming things, we so get bullied for the bad ones. And humans are self aware enough to laugh at the names too
This is hilarious I can't
The fact we call our moon...moon. "Humans are famous for their creativity" my ass.
"Solar system" We just called it the sun system. Sun sun, moon moon, dirt planet.
Oh god, the entire reason the alliance fleets are called marines is because space ships are named ships, yk after our normal sailing ships. We just took the entire terminology used for marines & navy and rebranded it as our space military branch special words.
We're just the best at coming up with names! For example, take the many colourful names Helldivers 2 players used for their ships and imagine it human ship names in the alliance.
SES Elected Representative of Self-Determination
The prophet of truth
[deleted]
Fist of Family Values
Dawn of Dawn
Claw of Law
Or, on a more historical note. Here are some real ship names in the royal navy.
HMS Cockchafer
[HMS] Happy Entrance
HMS Spanker
HMS Bat
HMS Broke
Some of these ships had to report for duty in ME1 at the battle of the citadel.
Let's not forget Chai tea, Sahara desert, and all the other words in different languages that literally mean the same thing, but we still repeat them.
But sometimes, the names are beautiful in their simplicity. Take the Nasa list of rover names.
Spirit & Opportunity
Curiosity
Preservance
Sojourner
Also the names we give to our...AIs. or even computers or robot friends.
Alexa, Siri. We gave them human names and natural emotion filled voices. Did the Quarians ever do the same with the Geth? How come Legion never got a name until he met Shepard?
Human children name their stuffed toys, they name their imaginary friends even. Mama and Papa weren't names we chosen for ourselves, they were names the kids have chosen for us because it's the first sounds an infant can make. Humanity let its children name it.
Even to our friends, we still give nicknames. Some make it shorter while others are longer. Do aliens have the same concept? Do hanar view human nicknames to be of the same importance as telling someone their soul name?
We gave each colour a name, even the most obscure ones. Each flower and each vine has both its scientific name and its public common name.
Our etymology is ever evolving. We're constantly borrowing words from the past and reviving it. Reshaping their meaning with every new generation and creating new words and abbreviations.

"My goodness. We've finally reached the end of the 3rd round. Oh? Can't wait for the result? Alright then. I won't keep you all waiting any longer.

For this particular mass, I see that 41 people voted. This must be the highest number of votes thus far. Anyway, we shall proceed with the scores, of course.
(Kitsune) Neka (@nekasu) got 16 points with 10 bonus points, a total of 26 points
Vivian (@lawain-dimensional-heroes) only received 2 points
Lyney (@hcttrick) got 4 points with 10 bonus points, a total of 14 points

and Ruby Rose (@ancicntforged) got 18 points with 10 bonus points, a total of 28 points
Tumblr media
I must say, these contestants are in high spirits and it shows. Perhaps most of them, to say the least. Before we officially end this round, here's the overall scoreboard as of now.
Tumblr media
Almost the same ranking as the previous round, hm? Anyway, as we can all see, our Miss Vacosian, Ruby Rose (@ancicntforged) is still leading with 89 points.
One of the duos among the contestants, Nanada Maroon and Hatsune Miku (@lawain-dimensional-heroes), are in 2nd place, with an overall score of 81 points.
And we have our great Valkyrie, or so one of my assistants would quote it, Kiana Kaslana (@ancicntforged) takes the 3rd place, going with an overall score of 63 points.
I suppose that's all for today. You'll hear more updates for the last round from one of our hosts later. Other than that, we'll see each other again in the next round... maybe~"
(Adding other contestants here: @musekaiplex @hxroic-wxlls @multimuse-citadel @studentshaul @melusine-summons @magickmuses)

So, anyone want to read my theory about how and why syIvie cant really continue as a character past Ioki s2?
Warning this is not exactly sylvie/sylki friendly. I’m not attacking anyone but please dont read if you’re going to look for a fight, I dont want one and its literally just a theory.
I don’t think Sylvie can continue as a character past s2.
The only character she really interacted with in s1 was Loki, her storyline with Kang and the tva is pretty much all wrapped up (one could argue her childhood nexus event but it was already l, very subtly revealed. When they arrested her as a little girl, she was playing with her Valkyrie dolls and she was roleplaying the Valkyrie that defeated the dragon and saved the day… she was playing the hero. Loki’s are not supposed to want to become or become heroes at all, they are supposed to be the villian who always loses. so because young Sylvie wanted to be a Valkyrie and protect Asgard, she violated the sacred timeline. She was not meant to be a hero, none of her actions so far in s1 make her a hero, to me she can not and will not be a hero going forward and the Lamentis nexus event was designed by He Who Remains to get her and Loki off Lamentis, back to the tva and then to the citadel). Her individual plot in s1 is only ‘kill HWR’, not even properly stop the tva because she could have been recruiting the tva workers instead of killing them, she knew they were victims like her that had been kidnapped and brainwashed. But she didn’t, she went straight to the top, killed HWR and has seemingly left to live her own life. Her story arc is essentially done. I don’t think she will have a redemption because she doesn’t think she did anything wrong and even if she did think it she wouldn’t admit it (like killing the minutemen she knew were victims - she just said “I did what I had to do”, no accountability or remorse).
She has no meaningful or lasting interaction with anyone else but loki and HWR. The former she betrays and rejects, not just romantically but in every way between “you cant trust and I cant be trusted” and her repeated denials of being like loki/“a loki” and the latter she kills so where else can her character development go? They had some really interesting potential between her and B-15, Ravonna, Mobius, etc. but they barely did anything with that and only really cared about her in regards to TVA Loki. She has no real interaction with the other Loki variants in the void either, and they barely let her remember her own parents or her Thor. She is completely isolated in her story and I cant see her crossing over into the main mcu because even with as much as we’re told she’s amazing, frankly she is very bland and unlikeable, her only characterisation is ‘angry and can fight’. If she interacted with other mcu characters they definitely wouldn’t like her after finding out she was willing to put the whole multiverse at risk for her own selfish desires.
I know from what’s already been said by people working on the show about s2 essentially being “the search for Sylvie and to right the multiverse” but I can’t imagine her going “Oh I was wrong I’m so sorry, let me team up with you guys even though I insult and assault you all the time and betrayed you Loki. We’d make a great team even though we’ve already established we cant trust each other!” It would be out of character. She’s such a lone wolf and clearly hates working with others so I can’t imagine a redemption involving her joining other mcu heroes. Sylvies arc is so self-centered and selfish, her attitude so abrasive and condescending, that without Loki pining after her or the tva hunting her she cant believably interact with anyone else. Ravonna is Kangs love interest in the comics so I can see that happening and her expanding out. B-15 could become a shield agent if she wants or could just go back to her old life and never be heard from again. Mobius is a popular character and has other potential with him being MR Tesseract in the comics. Sylvie, there is next to no potential for her because she’s already achieved her selfish revenge, screw everyone else in the multiverse. There is no redeeming that in my eyes other than a last minute ‘I’m forced to help the mission/fight kang as defence and then be killed’ style “redemption” (and I personally hate those because its not actually redemption because there is no work being put in to be a better person, its just dying) but again I dont see it happening because she doesnt hold herself accountable. I think either she will refuse and live on a timeline, maybe with the postman mentioned in ep3 if they ever actually existed, never to be heard from again or she will in some way be forced to fight a Kang and he will kill her to A) establish him as the big bad both in the show and in the mcu proper going forward, B) as a mirror of her killing HWR (who was keeping his other variants in check) and starting all this multiverse mess and C) as a mirror to Ioki “helping” Thanos and then being killed by him. She could potentially be a villain, it would definitely be interesting and her actions in s1 pointed that way to me but again I cant see anything that could involve her crossing into the main mcu as a villain because right now it would be too similar in the broad strokes to what has been done with Wanda so I cant see them going that route again, especially so quickly.
From what we know sylvie’s only appearance is in 2 locations, the mcdonalds and a record store which I’m assuming will happen in the same episode so I really don’t think she’ll play a big part at all in s2. I dont think they’ll continue with sylki after she betrayed him and all the offscreen controversy surrounding it (incest, transphobia ect). Marvel cancelled brucenat and stevesharon over less harmful criticism. The ship is also just pure toxic, its not a progressive relationship at all, if their presenting genders were swapped it would be abusive but because its a female presenting person doing it to a male presenting person its brushed aside, he’s a simp and she’s a girlboss. There is also no growth for her in the relationship because she has already established that whatever she may feel for him is not as important as her own desires and again she then rejects and betrays him.
As a character most people just dont really care about her much. Critics didnt really like her other than “girlboss we should hype up”. We know that critics were only previewed the first two episodes, the first two episodes were the most watched and highest rated. I fully believe, what with everything Tom has said, that he was proposed the show based off the first two episodes. Everything from episode 3 onwards felt like a completely different show. Sophia herself isnt that skilled an actor or personally likeable, especially after her comments on Loki’s genderfluidity. She doesnt have that much onscreen or offscreen chemistry with any of her costars and she actively shits on Loki’s character to hype Sylvie up and she admits she did not research into Loki at all, not even collaborating with Tom and said Sylvie was basically being made up as they went along and Herron added extra Sylvie scenes in while they were filming which makes sense when Season 1 had a different original storyline (and I’m sensing that season 2 sort of is the OG storyline that they had in mind what with marvel reusing the s1 synopsis for s2). I remember Michael Waldron saying in an interview that they were mid way through writing the show when a female writer came to them and pitched the Loki and Sylvie romance love story, and he said he and the rest of the crew just went with it and Herron has previously said she thought the end of s1 would be the last we see of Sylvie.

Mass Effect Trilogy Tag
Tagged by @smolsawyer Cheers!
I am a fan since: 2013. I've always loved rpgs but i'd never played a space one before. Immediately loved it.
Favourite game of the series?: Oh that's a tight one! ME3 wins due to the whole reaper fight & the citadel dlc
MShep or FShep?: Femshep, never really tried Mshep. Might try it so i can romance Miranda or Jack (yes i'm still bitter about that.)
Earthborn, Colonist or Spacer?: First playthrough was colonist
Biotics or Tech: First playthrough was soldier, after that i took biotics just to see what it was like & it was pretty fun
Paragon or Renegade: Mostly Paragon. I have repeatedly tried to play renegade but fail miserably
Favourite Class: Vanguard for the decent armour (i'm allergic to light armour lol)
Favourite Companion: Damm that's hard. Umm... it has to be Jack for sheer badassery
Least favourite Companion: I don't really have one
My squad selection: 1 - Liara and Wrex. 2 - Jack and Grunt. 3 - Tali & Liara
Favourite In-game romance: I've had several but I think Liara is the most... detailed? Fleshed out? (sorry I'm bad with words)
Other pairings I like: EDI and Joker.
Favourite NPC: Captain Kirrahe, Eve, Niftu Cal (bless him) Commander Bailey. does Kalros count?
Favourite Antagonist: the Illusive man for obvious reasons
Favourite Mission: Noveria & Jack's recruitment mission
Favourite Loyalty Mission: Tali & Grunt
Favourite DLC: Citadel, closely followed by Omega
Control, Synthesis or Destroy: Synthesis cause I really can't bear to let EDI die
Favourite Weapon: Valkyrie & Reegar Carbine
Favourite Place: In the Mako bouncing across planets 😁
A quote I like: 'Take your balls outta your purse & kick some ass.' Not the most meaningful quote but I always liked it

Mass Effect Tag Game
I stole this from @onedismay and anyone can now proceed to steal it from me
I am a fan since: The release of Legendary Edition, which came out on my birthday. And--1500+ hours of playtime later--It's the gift that keeps on giving lol
Favourite game of the series?: Mass Effect 2 is definitely my favourite because there just feels like there's so much more at stake and all the new characters introduced are great
MShep or FShep?: Most of my Sheps are women but I do have a few men even though I technically haven't played all of them yet
Earthborn, Colonist or Spacer?: I know a lot of people probably consider this the boring option, but I do prefer Earthborn because, for whatever reason, I have a thing about my OCs never knowing their parents
Biotics or Tech: 100% tech, I don't fuck with biotics
Paragon or Renegade: My main Shep is renegade with a touch of paragon
Favourite Class: Infiltrator is my go-to class, but I'll admit that I don't have a lot of experience with any of the other classes
Favourite Companion: Uhm all the techies are essentially my faves lol so Garrus, Tali, EDI, Legion, Kasumi, and Mordin. I also adore Joker, who I feel like gets accidentally excluded a lot because he's not someone who can tag along on missions. Then I have a bit of a soft spot for Vega. Oh, and Aria is pretty much the only asari character I enjoy lol
Least favourite Companion: I might get hate for this, but Liara. I hate how forced she is on you in the first game, and the fact that that does change for the rest of the series makes me so uncomfortable. I literally don't even both talking to her. Ever. I forget she's there half the time. If it weren't for the couple missions in ME3 where you're forced to take her, she would never leave the ship
My squad selection: Garrus is almost always there. I've forced myself to broaden my selection in recent playthroughs and utilise (almost) everyone, but Garrus is still definitely a top pick. Tali is up there, as well. Frankly, this answer is essentially the same as my fave companion(s) plus Wrex
Favourite In-game romance: Garrus. The only romance I honestly give a shit about
Other pairings I like: Joker and EDI, 100%. I'm also into the Jack/Miranda pairing, and I enjoy the thought of Ash and James ending up together
Favourite NPC: This is probably the proper place to mention Joker and Aria, but I'm not going back to edit my other answer including them lol
Favourite Antagonist: I'm not sure I really have one. Saren had potential and it would've been neat if he had stuck around for at least another game, but obviously that didn't happen. The Illusive Man was kinda lame and just overall a nuance soooo idk Udina? lmao
Favourite Mission: I'm not entirely sure... I don't think I necessarily have a favourite because they're all mandatory, for the most part. Even if they're not mandatory story-wise, they are to level up so it's ike...idk none of them really stick out to me and I dread something about each of them, to be honest lol
Favourite Loyalty Mission: Obligatory Garrus answer, but then I also enjoy Tali's mission, uhm... Kasumi's is fun, Mordin's is good, aaaand that's probably it
Favourite DLC: Citadel, hands down. Just the absolutely campiness and insanity of it. I mean, it was a good way to lighten the mood of what the rest of ME3 is, so the ridiculousness of it was honestly much appreciated. A close second would probably be between Omega and Leviathan
Control, Synthesis or Destroy: I prefer Synthesis. I don't give a shit what people say about it, I'm not going through all that bullshit of ending a 300-year long war between the Quarians and Geth just to fucking destroy the Geth in the end. It's pointless. Plus, I could never do that to EDI
Favourite Weapon: While I usually am the Infiltrator class, I always choose assault rifles as my specialisation (or just use them in general when I can), so in ME2 my go-to is the Mattock while in ME3 it's the Valkyrie or Chakram Launcher. As for sniper rifles, in ME2 it's the Viper and in ME3 it's the Valiant
Favourite Place: I enjoy Omega and Illium the most. I wish we could've explored them more because I feel like there was so much lost potential there.
A quote I like: "I won't let fear compromise who I am." ~Shepard. I would honestly get that tattooed on my body lol Garrus has a lot of good/funny quotes, too, especially in ME3 but that Shepard one is always the first to come to mind

Nesta's horse reacted more than she did when the Queen greeted her, whinnying uneasy under its owner as the monarch approached and offered her daughter a hand to dismount. Frozen in place, Nesta only looked back at her mother's hand, letting it hang in the air.
The Queen looked at her right in the eye, unapologetic, and went on with her speech, this time facing the crowd on the square. Out of her lips came words about welcoming the heir to the throne back into the city that had been her birthplace twenty-five years ago and was soon to become her forever home.
Something about the brave soldiers who kept her safe at Kyrlan Fort for the last five years was said as well. Something about loyalty to the crown Nesta's head would one day hold. And about bonds being forged thanks to the princess' work in the front lines. Then she went on with more empty words about things like the joy in her heart rising with anticipation at the prospect of new chapters.
Cassian heard nothing, only a whistle on his ears. Although he caught the sound, the voice of the monarch came to him unintelligible, as if he was listening to people chatter in a different room with closed doors and thick stone walls. He listened from outside.
"I cannot think of a better way to celebrate this newly-achieved peace than celebrating love and new foundations being built in a wedding long awaited by all of you. Every man, woman and child will become witnesses to a milestone both in the life of my daughter, and in this realm's history."
She turned to Nesta once again.
Cassian had met the Queen on counted occasions, but he knew one thing: she wouldn't be made a fool in front of anyone. Her eyes accidentally met his and pierced through them, although it was just an instant. Nesta was the real target. Once again, the woman tended her daughter a hand to dismount, and this time Nesta had to take it.
With grace that could only belong to a royal, her feet came in contact with the gray cobblestones. A few petals fell from her hair, but most hang there, collected in her braided mane.
An overwhelming amount of people had hollowed out to attend the company's arrival, and they were all holding their breath, waiting for the princess to finally speak after five years of being gone.
They all wanted to know what the princess who had worked so hard for peace had brought with her from the front. Few remembered her voice, for she had never enjoyed the spotlight during celebrations even in the past, and barely partook in them. She was more of a myth than a person to these folks. Only her feats as a strategist build what her subjects pictured when they thought of Nesta Archeron.
"It's good to be back." Not a single mutter could be heard as she paused. Cassian was listening now. The entire citadel had gone silent. Birds flew by, but made no sound either. "I look forward to my union with Lord Balthazar, and trust it will bring prosperity to our kingdom, finally allowing it to thrive as it deserves."
The crowd went crazy with cheers as loud as the scream Cassian was containing inside. Her words had been far from inspiring. Cassian had heard Nesta give speeches to scared soldiers before the battle and knew what her talent for words could do to people's heart. He had seen first hand the fervor she could start in their hearts. Damn, he had been a victim of it himself, although he had been delighted to be so.
But the citizens were starving for hope and new beginnings, and so the dullest of phrases put together made them break with into an uproar, just happy to be deserving of the princess' words.
Cassian didn't want to keep listening to these shenanigans, though. A look at Azriel, who stood proud next to the King a few steps behind, gave him the only permission he really needed. These fucking idiots hadn't even informed him of the protocol, just in case it gave their plans away, and Cassian prevented them from trapping Nesta.
Nodding, Az let him know that it was okay. Cassian took the reins of his horse and led him towards the castle, all his men following suit. Behind him, the General could tell they were rejoicing themselves in the praises of the commoners, accepting gifts that were tossed at them from people in the streets and in the low windows alike.
They were heroes, after all.
By the time Cassian dismounted and locked himself in his chambers inside the castle, he had been covered in compliments and eulogies as well. In praises that were supposed to be a celebration of his greatest victory yet, but made him as miserable as he had ever been.
There were bottles of liqueur in a cabinet of the studio adjacent to his bedchambers. He opened one and dropped his weight on a velvet sofa. It was far too comfortable for his liking, but Cassian didn't have the strengt left in himself to get his ass up and move. The General sunk deeper in the cushions, opened a bottle and finally allowed the scream to pour out.
He allowed himself to let loose and feel sorry for himself whilst from outside his window the chants from his men were overpowered by the royal orchestra practicing the wedding march.
Cassian opened the bottle and indulged himself in it.
.
When Azriel bounced into his studio, it was obvious his friend had stopped in his own chambers to pamper before coming to see him. Which made Cassian wonder for how long he had been secluded here, drinking alone.
Cassian's eyes weren't fully open, and he couldn't see shit. Weighting the bottle in his hand, he realized it was empty. Which explained why his eyes refused to open, and gave him an idea of the amount of hours that had passed by.
In his armor, navy cape hanging from both shoulders as it was proper from a city guard, Azriel looked like he could be the one getting married.
But Nesta was, not Azriel, nor him.
Nesta.
Two slaps on his face awoke him just enough to focus on his friend's face again. Azriel checked he was awake and proceeded to steal the empty bottle from him.
"Get up." Az's tone was cold. Cassian didn't listen. "Get the fuck up, Cassian. You cannot afford to be late for the ceremony."
Still resting his head in the back of the sofa, Cassian grumbled, unsure as to why Azriel was being so inconsiderate towards him. Azriel, from all people, should understand.
"Do you think she would have married me if I had asked her to? Before that Lord came out of fucking nowhere, I mean." His voice was hoarsely, "If I had been..." Braver, "faster, do you think Nesta would have been my bride?"
Azriel, who had been looking for the fallen brooch and was about to pin Cassian's cape in place, halted at that. Cassian straightened his back and lifted his head to see his friend, but Az was already looking at him, baffled.
"No."
He could have lied, Cassian though. Why the fuck couldn't Azriel give him at least that?
"This was always the plan, Cass. She told you. You knew." Azriel went back to pining the damn cape, and then proceeded to clean him of the remaining flower petals. "You can say lots of things about Nesta, but at least she has never been this delusional about her fate."
"Why delusional? I have the status. I had a chair in the Council years before she did." Azriel gave no signs of seeing his point, which infuriated him even more. Starting from the bottom, he had worked his ass off to be General. What made him so unworthy that the idea of Nesta marrying him was taken as a stupid man's dream? "It's not uncommon for princesses to marry high ranked soldiers. There have been royals wed to soldiers way beneath my rank."
Azriel still didn't respond, he was only nodding his head in disbelief. It was insulting.
"I'm a fucking war hero." Cassian shouted. "Yes she is smart and a great strategist, but I fucking led that army. I took care of my men, traced the plans and fought the damn war for the future of this kingdom."
"Great, Cass. Now you are detracting from her."
It was Cassian's turn to be baffled. "I just don't get why. Is it because he is rich and I am not? War is over, why the fuck do we need him and his gold now?"
"Yes, exactly."
What was he not getting? What did Azriel and Nesta comprehend that Cassian was too drunk in liqueur or love to understand?
"War is over, you made it. You lead our army to victory and won peace for our kingdom." Azriel's tone was bitter. He didn't like this situation any more than Cassian did, but clearly he was okay enough with it as to allow it to happen. "For over a decade, every fucking coin in the realm's coffers has been spent on the army. The food. All our resources."
He was supposed to be the tranquil one, the shadow, but today Azriel couldn't stand still. Putting distance between them, he paced through the room.
"Now it is over, and we will all be drowning in joy for a week or so. And then the Queen's subjects will come out of the ecstasy and realize there is no war, yet they still have no food to feed their kids. What reasons will you give them then? What will Nesta tell them, after asking them to sacrifice for the cause?"
War was expensive. But to Cassian the death of his soldiers had always put more weight upon his shoulders than any loss of currency. He had never actually thought about that, truly. About what would come next. Had never considered that Nesta had been juggling both.
Right, she had given everything he had demanded in order to win. As the politician in the front lines, her job had been to bridge his needs and the Crown's, to pave the way for him to obtain glory in the battlefield so they could all win.
Now she was being forced to move forward and into the next challenge, whether she liked it or not. And Cassian wasn't part of it, because for the one tracing the plan, he or his feeling would never be worth taken into consideration. How could they, when not even her own daughter's were?
"Why didn't you warn me, at least?" In remembering his triumph, Cassian felt downright defeated.
"It had to be today." At least Azriel had the balls to look him in the eye as he confessed. "You think Nesat is smart? You should see the Queen scheme. It had to be today, take her daughter by surprise, and nor grant her a second to react."
Cassian was offended in her behalf. "Nesta would have followed through, even if the Queen had given her the month she promised. She knows what her duty is, and has never backed down from it."
"She is selfish enough, though." Azriel argued. "She loves you enough. Do you really think you have fooled the fucking Queen, Cass? She knows. She had to intervene before Lord Balthazar found out as well."
"We could kill him."
It could be that he was far from the fight for the first time in over a decade, but Cassian didn't remember the last time he heard true silence sit around him so many times in a day. The quietude in his study as his words sunk in was so utter that Azriel's boots could be heard as he turned. Cassian could hear the anger, the disbelief in his steps.
"After the ceremony, after the banquet, when he's getting ready for the ni..."
Azriel took Cassian's jaw in his hand and forced his long time friend to look at him. To face him. Him, and the truth.
"This isn't fucking war, Cass. This is politics."
The desperation in his voice was painfully obvious to a drunk Cassian that had only wanted to cry alone, and now felt both sad, helpless and stupid. Az kneeled in between Cassian's legs and cupped his face, finally showing affection and care with his touch.
"Please, think." Azriel put his forehead against Cassian's, both closing their eyes at the touch, "We just got our enemies to surrender. The princess, key to that and a symbol of hope, comes back home to marry a new ally that will bring prosperity to the kingdom." The captain of the city guard went through it as steps in a plan, "But the marriage has not been technically consumed and made official, when the groom is killed."
Cassian understood now, and the realization was almost made it worse.
"What will that look like, Cass?"
The general nodded, his face still in his best friend's grip. "It will look like we've been attacked, and we will have to retaliate. Go back to war."
The razzle was gone, his mind sharp with the realization and suddenly back at work.
Fucking politics.
Standing up, Cassian understood he ought to come to terms with a destiny everybody else had accepted already. Mirroring Azriel, he squared his shoulders and fixed the brooch on his shoulder. His cape pended from just one, as it was expected from the General of the army.
Because he was not a politician, but a warrior, and a feisty one at that. Nesta had been raised in this castle among spiders weaving their nets, yet she learned, listened, and conquered the battlefield to help him. Now he was here, in her territory, and it seemed to be his turn to thrive in the citadel.
"Can you take me to her?"
"Haven't you said your goodbyes already?"
Cassian brushed his fingers through his hair to fix it as well. "That was when I thought I would have a month to smoothly see her drift away. Now she is being taken from me."
Azriel pondered in silence, his face a mask of stone. "Don't you dare jeopardize her, you hear me?"
Without a word of protest, he followed Azriel out of the studio and across the castle to the royal gardens where the woman he loved was about to be married to somebody else.

Asgard según El Cadejos
Odin’s Army
The hierarchy of those who fight for Odin is as follows:
1. Odin’s Priestess
A role performed by the Asgardian Princess, a direct descendant of that valkyrie who in the age of legend was asked to stay in Midgard (home to mankind) and be the link between it and Asgard (home to gods). She commands the army.
Tumblr media
2. Star-linked God Warriors
Keepers of the seven Sapphires capable of summoning Odin’s God Robe, the most powerful among his soldiers, and leaders of smaller legions of starless God Warriors. Chosen by Odin himself.
Tumblr media
3. Shadow Warriors
Bodyguards to the star-linked God Warriors and their right hand. Should their God Warriors perish, they will inherit their place as leader of the legion and the Odin Sapphire. Chosen by Odin himself.
An individual designated as Shadow Warrior usually has a link to the person they guard (positive or negative). However, as they are specifically chosen by the gods for this role, if they perish as well, it is unlikely they can be replaced without a new God Warrior being designated first.
Tumblr media
4. Starless God Warriors
Their Sapphires cannot summon Odin’s God Robe. The total number varies, and they organize in seven legions under the command of a star-linked God Warrior and their Shadow. Chosen by the God Robes.
Tumblr media
5. Skjaldmö and soldiers
Skjaldmö (shield-maidens) are warrior women without God Robes but skilled in the use of cosmo. Their main task is being personal escorts for royalty, but also keep peace at Valhalla Palace and the Citadel, leading soldiers and guards along the way. If necessary, they will also support starless God Warriors.

Loki's Magic
Wanted to list the stuff he can do cause he's strong, mainly cause a friend said he's weak(I'm not petty I swear)
1.)Energy blasts
-He's capable at pretty strong Energy Blasts, able to throw a guard down and out of a train with them. Also making a shockwave in DW to destroy furniture after hearing about Frigga's death.
Tumblr media
2.)Telekinesis
-The power to lift things with your mind, even though it took toll phase 4 we know Loki has great power in Telekinesis, show when easily lifting the skyscraper back up on Lamentis and pulling sylvie away from Kang in the season finale.
Tumblr media
3.)Transmutation
-The ability to change the form of most inanimate objects or living beings. Loki was show to make his clothes dry in Episode 2 of season 1 and changing them to the guard clothes in Episode 4. It's also said on the wiki that he turned Thor into a frog as a child and can even change his own form, whether it be a animal or even his own gender.
Tumblr media
4.)Presence Manipulation
-The ability to conceal your presence, in Episode 3 he hid himself in a fight against Sylvie for the tempad.
Tumblr media
5.)Illusion Manipulation
-One of his specialities, Loki has been shown to be a master at illusion manipulation. Whether it be making clones of himself or even hiding a whole room from his brother, he's show to be very skilled at this, though some can see through them.
Tumblr media
6.)Conjuration
-To summon or vanish items and or individuals away, Loki can summon his daggers at will and even the tesseract when needed. We have yet to see if people can be affected as such, he's also able to spark fireworks from his hands and even light Laevateinn on fire.
Tumblr media
7.)Mind manipulation
-The ability to tamper with one's mind for various purposes, in Thor:Ragnarok he invaded Valkyrie's past memories revealing images of her comrades being massacred by Hela. It's unknown if he can control those with this powers but it may have hinted to Ragnarok Loki slowly developing enchantment.
Tumblr media
8.)Portal Creation
-In Episode 6 Loki and Sylvie revealed a portal from Alioth to the Citadel At The End Of Time. This may just be a part of Enchantment but it's still a nice inclusion.
Tumblr media
9.)Enchantment
-Originally an ability discovered by Sylvie, Loki is able to enchant people allowing for memory manipulation, controlling of said victim and possibly visions(Sylvie seeing the citadel.).

Eva and Stian meet on the steps of the Citadel one late night where he walks her home. They become bond over being uprooted from their homes, become fast friends who met each other often, and eventually go into a relationship with one another.
M.E. 746 - The Mercure and Nivis family meet in Altissia during both their respective family trips. The Mercures meet Kristoffer Hugo Valkyrie Nivis and Hanna Nivis, who share with them their story of being Niflheim refugees without specifying that their family is the last of the Valkkyrjur, a warrior lineage from Niflheim from the stories of old long before the war.
Johanne meets her grandparents for the first time and is told the full history of her lineage. Stian tells Eva about it in private before they marry in Altissia.
Emma Katerina Mercure and Mikael Alaricus Mercure are born in Insomnia. Stian and Eva agree to continue living apart for the safety of the newborns and their children.
M.E. 748 - Stian is KIA. Captain Titus Drautos informs Johanne and tells her Lei Sokol, a close friend of the Stian’s in the Glaive, is to blame. She doesn’t believe him one bit.
M.E. 750 - Johanne is sworn into the Kingsglaive. She needed minimal recruit training as she was already familiar with the program, being practically raised in HQ and her father was one of the Glaives that help create the training program.
M.E. 752 - Jackson starts training for the Crownsguard after graduation. He earns the moniker Silvertongue after a diplomatic mission for the Crownguard as a trainee.
M.E. 753 - One of Johanne’s first deployments, she earns the moniker Frostbite after a coordinated attack on an Imperial Base gone wrong.
M.E. 754 - Jackson is sworn into the Crownsguard. He becomes one of the few gun-wielders in the group.
May 16, M.E. 756 - The Attack on Insomnia. Johanne fights alongside loyal Glaives against the traitor Glaives. After the attack, they regroup with the Crownsguard in Lestallum to confirm the deceased in the Citadel and reaffirm their loyalty to the One True King.
Jackson is one of the Crownsguard that remained in the city during the attack. He helped with the evacuation of the citizens.

rising sophomore here! how do i break into quant? which firms should i look at?
Response from Heisenberg:
Maintain good GPA (ideally 3.7+), have 1-2 interesting side projects that demonstrate your interest in quant, be in 1-2 clubs that demonstrate your interest in quant.
For the interviews, be really good at probability questions and brainteasers. There are a lot of resources on the internet that cover this material.
For quant dev, be good at Leetcode (solve most Mediums relatively quickly and easily). If you have the time, get really good at competitive programming. 1500+ on Codeforces is probably sufficient. Firms like Hudson River Trading love that shit (and you will absolutely murder any coding interview question you'll encounter).
