Sam… Colby… Joe Rogan… Cancelled??

So, I just peeped that some ppl want to cancel SnC cause they made a video with Joe Rogan and made an appearance on his podcast as well as their usual joke about investigating spirits, especially children.

When it comes to the ‘Fat men’ and ‘little boys’ room fiasco, dark humor is not everyone’s forte just as much as everyone has their limits. So, I’m not too pressed about it - to each their own, but collaborating with Joe Rogan?!

Joe Rogan is where things become ROUGH. The man is not afraid to be and say racist and homo/transphobic statements, jokes, and slurs. I get it, his daughter’s a fan, so a quick interview with him about the location would’ve done well but they also took place on his podcast.

Does this make the three friends? No. However, appearing single-handedly in areas that are to uplift a disgusting person as if just a simple research nowadays is impossible… Isn’t that far off.

I get it, when it comes to Tara, Colby, Jake, Johnnie, and Sam their audience is predominantly white (although they’re also alternative, so this is very ironic) but that doesn’t erase the fact that there’s still a percentage of fans who are minorities, who are LGBTQ+, who sees this and are disturbed.

It drives me even more crazy when a yt fan commented on a TikTok video discussing this, said that ppl were just angry because Rogan has different opinions… Opinions?

Tara? Love her to death, but that party she had with Dobrik and some other problematic mfs showing up by invitation had me side eyeing hard because there’s a difference between a mistake and then committing to outrageous actions/beliefs.

Thankfully, I hardly ever say I’m a fan of someone or something, especially those who are considered ‘influencers’ because at the end of the day, they’re humans as well. Some make mistakes, others chase the money, while the rest take advantage of life and the kindness of others.

I liked Sam and Colby on Vine, here and there, but I’m not kissing anyone’s ass who’s willing to work with ignorant bigots. It’s 2024, people aren’t scared to be any -ism or -phobic in the book anymore and mfs are still being supported? Receiving work?

This isn’t something that’s tragic and deserves an ‘OMG THEY’RE RACIST’ or whatever… unfortunately they got caught up with a weirdo and now ppl just wanna come after them. My issue is with them, and other good influencers, letting asses like Joe in their space or vice versa and not taking diligence towards the idea.

Do I hate them? No. Are they canceled? No.

I have already said it this thing on Twitter but I think ultimately IDW is sort of a spin off epilogue to Forces where even though it's set after Forces, the events of the comic book won't necessarily be canonical in the games except for the characters from what we've seen with Frontiers. Every adaptation of Sonic through the franchising has a little piece of " DNA of Game Sonic" then also if IDW Sonic could be Game Sonic, isn't totally Game Sonic is only another adaptation of Sonic but with another deep personal growth in addition Sonic is always been a little hypocrite and not perfect and here the article from IGN center perfectly the point (link below to the article) :

Sonic was never perfect or only with those emotions that we used to see within the games but, it is although it may be repetitive I am aware of it 🥲, the real first demonstration of all his emotions both external and internal, the fact that he is not perfect or infallible we had in Sonic X where we saw not only Sonic behaving like his videogame side but also with emotions, desires and feelings that we actually had never seen before or just didn't notice them right away. IDW, Prime, Frontiers, and maybe even the movies, in the end only go to deepen this fact that was already there within the games and the anime that he was never perfect that even though he acts heroically he is still still a teenager who is now becoming aware that there are certain actions of his that sometimes bring more harm than good even without meaning to and the fact that we see Sonic occasionally acting somewhat hypocritical with his " lifestyle" or thinking, makes us realize that only now Sonic is realizing that he himself is contradicting himself by starting to question whether what he is doing is right or not but this is not a bad thing on the contrary! Because we finally see him becoming aware, maturing and finally realizing that freedom can have more than one form not just the one he thought.
