— a short and casual genshin impact otome game.
⟣ 𝕕𝕠𝕨𝕟𝕝𝕠𝕒𝕕 𝕙𝕖𝕣𝕖 ⟢
┊ (Windows 🪟, Linux 🐧, or Mac 🍎 only!)
Tumblr media
◇ 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬? ◇
Just a simple something I had in mind for a Genshin otome game... I have 0 attention span, 0 time, and 0 knowledge to write and build a full-fledged 3D game with intricate stories, plot, and mechanics. This is just a simple visual novel with a streamlined plot and partial voices. You should be able to complete everything in like... 30 minutes long in total. Might be less, even.
◇ 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐬 ◇
The game will contain the following: established relationship, FLUFF, comfort, lots of pet names, suggestive themes, lots of kissy sounds on some routes, implications of violence (not towards player), a sprinkle of protective behavior
◇ 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐬 ◇
Zhongli, Xiao, Childe, Diluc, Kaeya, Itto, Kazuha (Zhongli is selected by default because who doesn’t love geo daddy???)
◇ 𝐰𝐡𝐨'𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫? ◇
This is a very self-indulgent project, hence the dialogues were written with fem!player in mind. It will contain suggestive themes, so please be aware of that before downloading / playing!
◇ 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲? ◇
Yes, it's totally free - in fact, I do not accept payment.
◇ 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲? ◇
Click the link to download the appropriate file based on your OS. Only Windows, Linux, and Mac are supported. No, I won't release it on other platforms.
Open the game, and you’ll find that it’s pretty straightforward. Customize your profile, select your love interest, then start the game.
There are no wrong answers and the love interest can be changed anytime (just go back to main menu and select the character’s picture on the right side).
◇ 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐢 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬? ◇
You can personally send links to this post / the game’s itch.io page to your friends via DMs, but outside of that (reposting), NO. For example, posting about this on Reddit is prohibited.
◇ 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐥𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐞? ◇
This is a super casual project.
Scripts are not proofread. Probably lots of grammar mistakes.
Novel format without narration (full dialogs).
There are no actual sprites, just official art and something akin to a speech bubble to cater to the characters’ changes in ‘expression’.
There are voices, but only partial - mostly just grunts, chuckles, kisses, and stuff. I’m using JP voices EXCEPT for Itto because Max Mittelman is a gem. No, I will not add other languages' voice versions.
Sound cues and voices are quite important for this game so I recommend using headphones.
Depending on when you open the game (morning, afternoon, nighttime, midnight), your currently selected love interest might greet you differently.
To reiterate, there are no wrong answers.
Selecting all talk/act options for a character will unlock a small event where they'll give you unique gifts.
I lowkey have so many ideas on how to expand on this in terms of gameplay and options but let’s be real here it probably won’t happen lol why can’t my brain be this creative when it comes to work
◇ 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐮𝐬??? ◇
No... That said, anyone can literally say that. Please be responsible for your own actions.
I have also released other games on the same itch.io profile, so this isn't my first rodeo. Feel free to check the reviews on those before making your decision if you're wary about downloading!
◇ 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬 ◇
hyv please don't sue me i gain 0 dollars for this and i just wanna simp in peace

First-ever interactive virtual LTS held
For the first time amidst the COVID19 pandemic, an interactive virtual Leadership Training Seminar for recognized student organizations was conducted by the Student Development and Programs Office with CPU alumni, J Vincent Gasataya and Albert Jan Matthew Java as facilitators last February 19, 2022.
Gasataya and Java, the LTS facilitators are true-blooded Centralians, CPU Loyalty awardees, and were active leaders during their student days.
Gasataya, a Cum laude BS ECE graduate, was a regional finalist of the Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines (TOSP) and was once the chairman of the TOSP- Victors while Java, a Cum laude BS Accty graduate, Alma Mater awardee and former CPU Republic president, was a national finalist in the TOSP, No. 2 awardee and leader in the Outstanding Students of Iloilo (TOSIA).
A representative of CPU Teatro, Sining, Atbp., Regimika Malunda said that the LTS was more than what she expected, for it was fun and informative reminding her about what a Centralian leader should be and allowing her to share her thoughts and take-aways with other student leaders.
“It was not the kind of leadership training I was expecting or should I say it was more than what I’ve expected. It was fun, informative, and it lets us engage with other leaders as well as with the facilitators. It gave us the opportunity to share our thoughts and take-aways. It guided me on how to handle the responsibility of being a leader to my org and it reminded me of what a Centralian leader should be,” Malunda said.
According to Danica Rose Zepansa of the CPU Association of Chemistry Students, the LTS taught her patience, the need to be always imaginative and objective, and to consider everything as a challenge to overcome.
Zepansa said, “I have learned patience in the activities. No matter how long, you must persevere to get the correct answer. Always be imaginative and objective to everything and treat everything not as a game but a challenge to overcome.”
In addition, Zepansa said that though it was difficult to converse online, we should not be afraid to speak up and make mistakes for the latter make us see what we should do.
“It was difficult to converse virtually but don’t be afraid to speak up, seek help and make mistakes. Mistakes let us realize what we should do, and time may come when we’ll get tired, but always keep in mind that it is just part of the process,” Zepansa said.
Edalrehce Abogadil Forro, a member of the CPU Realm of Aureum Phoenixes, shared that she enjoyed the LTS very much and was not bored even though it was done virtually because the facilitator Mr. Java was really good and super alive when he hosted.
“Super nag enjoy gid ko. I thought boring sya , kase virtual lang, pero sir Java is really good. Super alive mag host hahaha,” Forro said
Forro further said that she learned much from the training especially about the real meaning of teamwork and leadership, about herself through the Johari window activity and about the need to look at the bigger things so that more opportunities and ideas can be created.
“I learned a lot. Mas na understand ko lalo yung real meaning ng teamwork and leadership. And marami den akong realizations about myself, especially yung Johari window, super nakahelp sya para mas ma analyze yung self ko. And na learn ko rin na, hindi dapat mag focus sa maliit lang, it is better kung titingnan natin yung bigger things para mas maraming opportunities and ideas na mabuo,” Forro added.
Together with other participants, Forro was thankful for the opportunity to join the interactive leadership seminar.
“Thank you for this opportunity na makajoin sa ganitong seminar. I learned a lot,” Forro said.
The LTS is an annual activity conducted by the Student Development and Programs Office headed by its director, Dr. Margen Java, and it aims to enhance the leadership skills of CPU students.
This year’s event was attended by 57 representatives of various CPU student organizations – academic (33), special (10), religious (7), cultural (1), sports (1) fraternities (4), and CPUR (1), according to Ms. Artchel Madera, SDP secretary who served in the LTS Secretariat together with Ms. Ciarra Guilamo and Ms. Mary Joy Alonsagay.

About that New Project (UPDATED)
EDIT: I updated and I added MORE CHARACTERS (something felt imbalanced still and I couldn’t stop lol) and I actually did general descriptions for all of them... They’re not extensive and may change, however.
———
The thing I was talking about in my Soune Taya post...
The Mega Project?
Well... it was going to be a visual novel concept.
But since I have no skill in making a VN, I’m just going to write a story. Like the anime that will be based off the VN. Like Clannad’s anime or something.
It’s going to be long since I have (ahem) FOURTY-SIX (46) WHOLE CHARACTERS WITH ROUTES THAT I’M GOING TO INCORPORATE.
This is why I said I will never ever finish it, even if I devote my entire life to it.
But it won’t feel right without all these characters. I WANT to have all these characters. I’m a “go big or go home” person. I’m too ambitious and I know that.
So.
Here are the characters.
Haku, Neru, Miku, Luka, Teto, Gumi, Meiko, Lapis, Merli, Lily, IA, Yukari, Uta, Zatsune, Rin, Len, Kaito, Akaito, Dell, Gakupo, Yuuma, Piko, Mizuki, Nigaito, Dex, Daina, Ruby, Taya, Longya, Ling, Momo, SeeU, Ruko, Ritsu, Miki, Aku, Bruno, Clara, Iroha, Yuu, Wil, Kyo, Akari, Qingxian, Anon, Kanon In the story adaption, Uta Utane (Defoko) will take the role as the player/main character, and learns everyone’s backstories. She will be the one with the (gigantic) “harem” around her. Think, Tomoya from Clannad. But IF there’s ever an actual game, I’ll plan on Uta being one of the date-able characters. She’ll be your childhood friend.
The characters are all college students here. They are all college-age, roughly between 18-26, depending on which character. I may give them specific ages eventually.
Here are descriptions I thought of already. For some of these Loids, this is my first time EVER writing or portraying them. Ever.
(Full names are listed in Western order. This is partly due to the story taking place in the USA, in a “Japantown” sort of place to explain the prominent Japanese population.)
——————————————————
Haku Yowane- A shy, gloomy girl who is looking to join in the school’s choir... However, the choir doesn’t have enough members. And it’s not like Haku is a good enough singer to singlehandedly bring it back to life... or confident to work up the courage to even audition. Haku seems to depend on Neru, her only friend, to comfort her when she gets down. Haku is the cousin of the popular Miku Hatsune, the most popular girl in the school and star singer in the choir. Neru Akita- A tomboy with a hot temper. But inside, she hides delicate feelings. She seems to always be with Haku, cheering her up when she gets down. The two seem to only have each other. Miku Hatsune- A very popular girl and star singer in the choir. A bubbly, cheerful sweetheart. Has lots of friends and is always smiling. Idealistic and doesn’t believe in impossible. Miku dreams big, but apparently she gets very depressed when her dreams are crushed. Luckily that never seems to happen... for now. Luka Megurine- A polite and elegant woman. She can appear aloof and intimidating at first, but is actually just shy. She is half Japanese, a quarter French, and a quarter German. Teto Kasane- A bubbly girl who can be childish. Is playful, weird, and a bit demanding. Very clumsy. Gumi- A girl who can be a bit shy, but once you get past that, Gumi is unique, free-spirited, and chill. She likes art and reading books. She keeps a sketchbook with her at all times. Meiko Sakine- The confident, mature woman of the group. Energetic and loves to party. Still responsible. Like a mother or older sister. Has quite a temper, though she mostly uses it to defend others... Lapis Aoki- Merli’s stepsister, who seems to be the opposite of her. Bubbly and playful, and quite childish. Quite friendly. However, she can be a bit selfish at times. Lapis is Japanese, though her adoptive sister Merli is Indian. Merli Aoki- Lapis’ stepsister, who seems to be the opposite of her. She can seem cold and distant, even a bit harsh at first. But inside, she is very thoughtful and willing to help those important to her. Merli is Indian, though she was adopted into Lapis’ Japanese family after the death of her parents. Lily- The school’s toughest female delinquent. IA- An idolized girl in the school for her good looks and singing skills. However, she hides dark feelings? Yukari Yuzuki- Half sister to Akari Kizuna. Looks up to IA but also feels she will never be as good as her. Uta Utane- A rather plain, bluntly-spoken person who doesn’t see much in life. Usually bored, silent, and rather deadpan. Once a bright girl with lots of dreams. Deep inside, she is passionate and caring, really... Can it be restored? She is non-binary, going mostly by she/her. Miku Zatsune- Edgy and hates Miku. She would rather be called Zatsune, because her first name happens to be Miku, like the person she despises so much... But could there be something deeper to her? Rin Kagamine- Rin is a bit chaotic. She is bold, brash, athletic, and charming. She is also just plain nuts. Len Kagamine- Len fries to be cool and hip, but he is just a big dork. He is quite the comedian however, sometimes unintentionally. Kaito Shion- Kaito is a silly boy. He loves ice cream, unicorns, rainbows, and anything fluffy. But he also has moments of seriousness where he says really deep, philosophical things. He is quite romantic. Akaito Shion- Akaito is a sarcastic and grumpy boy, but when it comes to romance, he gets quite passionate. He sometimes flirts around with girls, but when he finally finds a true love with a girl (or guy) who truly changes his life... well... it’s a bit different. Dell Honne- Dell is usually in a bad mood. He currently lives with a father who barely acknowledges him. He tends to keep it all inside, and he’s really just lonely and needs to find someone to vent to. He enjoys computer programming and composing electronic music. He is Haku’s half-brother, but they didn’t grow up together. Gakupo Kamui- Gakupo likes doing kendo and martial arts, and is generally athletic. He is a nice guy who also loves animals and history. He seems serious, but can be unexpectedly silly sometimes. He likes embracing his Japanese and Ainu heritage. Yuuma- Yuuma likes music and is quite popular. He may seem hard to approach, because sometimes he doesn’t know what to say. He is a little blunt at times, but has a good heart. He has a crush on Mizuki. Piko Utatane- Piko is a genius who loves astronomy and excels in mathematics and physics. He is a shy and compassionate person, but whenever he opens his mouth, he sounds very strict. He is bad at socializing and making friends, which leaves him quite lonely. On top of that, he is sickly and absent from school often. Piko wishes to make a friend. His first friend in the school is Lapis Aoki, who pretends to be a fairy to grant his wish. After a while, Lapis declares that she wants to be Piko’s friend. Mizuki- Mizuki is a singer who also plays the a Japanese harp (koto.) She is quite a charming person and seems to flirt with many people... even girls... but not Yuuma. Since Yuuma has a crush on Mizuki, this discourages him. Nigaito Shion- The youngest of the three Shion bothers. Nigaito’s nicknames are Nini and Nii. He is rather sickly, but remains to have a warm and pure heart. Dex- Daina’s childhood friend. Best friends, even though they are of completely different genders, and with very different personalities. Some people wonder how it works. Dex is silly, fun, a bit of a party animal, but he is still very caring and compassionate. He just needs a bit of help devoting himself to his studies. But he is quite intelligent when he is focused. He is Black, Creole, and is learning French. Daina- Dex’s childhood friend. Best friends, even though they are of completely different genders, and with very different personalities. Some people wonder how it works. Daina likes to study and learn, and doesn’t like atmospheres like parties so much. She prefers quiet, peaceful places. She may seem a bit distant on the outside, but she is just a little shy. She is White, with English and French heritage. Ruby- Ruby is rather confident, yet nice, and will always give people a helping hand. She is Black and Latina. Taya Soune- Taya is incredibly polite, bowing at many occasions and also offering to do favors a lot. He speaks very formally. He is non-binary, but go mostly by he/him. Longya Yuezheng- A quite serious man who is dutiful and studious. Protective over his younger sister, Ling, and monitors her safety constantly. This is due to Ling nearly getting into a tragic accident when they were younger, traumatizing Longya. He is Chinese. Ling Yuezheng- Ling is a hardworking student, however she has a playful side and she feels lonely that she doesn’t have many friends and is devoting her life to studying. Momo Momone- A peaceful, sleepy girl. Rather low-energy and tranquil. However, Momo has quite a temper when it comes to injustice. SeeU- A rather eccentric, bold and energetic girl with “the light of the stars in her eyes.” She is Korean. Ruko Yokune- Ruko is one of the most mature characters, having a lot of wisdom about life and many experiences. However, they still have moments where they need a helping hand. Ruko is non-binary, mostly going by she/her or they/them. Ritsu Namine- Ritsu is rather brash, but means well. He is non-binary and mostly go by he/him. Miki- Loves romance anime/manga and is obsessed with “cute couples.” A true fangirl. Acts cute and animated. Iroha’s best friend. Aku Yamine- Hates her name, because it’s pronounced the same as the word for “evil” in Japanese. Prefers to be called Akurin. Aku is a very nice and naive, somewhat clumsy girl with big dreams. Is half Black and half Japanese. Bruno- Black Latino, lived in the Dominican Republic. Polite and soft-spoken, but a talented guitarist. Clara- From Colombia, and is Latina. A rather doting girl who somehow feels like both a mother and a little sister. Iroha Nekomura- Loves cute things and stuffed animals. Is kind of insecure and doesn’t find herself very cute, though her best friend Miki constantly reassures her. Yuu- A sweet, cheerful guy who is always filled with energy. Half English, half Japanese. He is in a band with Wil and Kyo called ZOLA PROJECT. Wil- A sophisticated, fashionable guy who is quite outgoing. He is Black. He is in a band with Yuu and Kyo called ZOLA PROJECT. Kyo- A wild, energetic guy who is always raring to go. He is Japanese. He is in a band with Yuu and Wil called ZOLA PROJECT. Akari Kizuna- Yukari Yuzuki’s half-sister. Cheerful and sweet, and wants to make others smile... even though many heavy thoughts are hiding behind her own smile. Qingxian Mo- She seems very nice, but she’s actually a bit self-absorbed. Since her name is hard to pronounce for English-speakers, she insists on being called Qing (pronounced like Ching.)

The PRxPRince Experience
It’s been nearly five months so it’s high time I finally wrote up my review ^^; In April of this year I had the pleasure to see Machida Nanoka’s directorial debut show, PRxPRince. This show was also the first solo lead for Snow Troupe’s Towaki Sea (Hitoko). As this was the first bow hall show I have seen the theatre is much smaller than the Grand Theatres with no balcony and holds a little over 500 people.
The intimacy of the show is doubled with the cast of 30 people who all get to shine during the show. There are enough additional scenes for everyone in the cast to play important roles and it also showcases a lot of the younger actresses as well.
All bias aside, PRxPRince is a fantastic show and is possibly my favorite Takarazuka show that I have seen yet. With the combined powers of Machida sensei’s writing and Hitoko’s sensual charm onstage they somehow created a show that is both very fun and extremely lethal. Before the show premiered just from the interviews it was evident that Machida sensei knew exactly what she was doing. She had been a fan of Takarazuka for a number of years and it shows in the final result.
Tumblr media
WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD!
The show opens with the three ministers of Pecchieno, the Genovia-like country in which the story takes place, who are trying to figure out a way to get the country out of financial difficulties. Caspar (Kanou Yuuri) and Elias (Ichika Ao) have very different views on how to go about this dilemma with Caspar being very old-fashioned and Elias being a Millennial and very social media savvy. Damian (Yume Maoto) is kind of the moderator between them and the one who ends up suggesting the ultimate way to solve the country’s issues (which will be revealed later on).
The next scene is a PR campaign video that introduces Victor (Hitoko), the oldest prince of Pecchieno as well as his two younger brothers, Valentin (Aya Ouka) and Valtteri (Ayami Sera). The opening song “Welcome to Pecchieno” is one of the catchiest songs in the show and gets reprised later on, inevitably becoming an earworm for anyone who hears it. What should be noted about the opening is that Victor’s glasses are removed before the start of the PR campaign video so Hitoko’s blue contact lenses and smooth blonde hair are on full display. And it is truly devastating! (Sidenote: I had no idea that the intro song actually introduces the rest of the cast who come onstage briefly until my last time seeing the show because I had my opera glasses focused on Hitoko for the other 6).
The next time we see Victor he is dressed in a parka, tennis shoes, a lab coat, and has large round glasses and messy hair. Victor is the leader of a group of scientists whose goal it is to find a solution to the polluting problems from the neighboring country (though this plotline might have changed since the director’s talk cause there was probably something I missed but I tried my best to follow along with the laboratory scenes). Elle (Jun Hana) is one of the scientists who really likes Victor and Victor really likes her. They are very adorable and awkward together. They are also both incredibly intelligent. Elle is seen as very smart but also fierce and is not one you want to mess with (she does Karate poses).
During another PR campaign tactic the princes are literally being mobbed by fangirls (listed as Fangirl 1-6 in the program) in order to promote tourism. At one point during a struggle Victor’s glasses fall off and he falls to the ground. He then emits a very unsumire moan. Suddenly, the lights change to a vivid bright green and music starts. Victor lifts up his head but his entire demeanor has changed. It is revealed during this song that this is in fact Christopher and he is searching for his goddess. The awkward prince Victor is replaced by Christopher, a very handsome, cocky, and aggressive version who makes every girl around him fall to the ground in delight. This reveal was so secret during the press for PRxPRince before I saw the show that I knew that Hitoko would be both extremely kawaii and extremely ikemen but I didn’t realize that Victor would change into a completely different person!
Through a flashback scene told by Alice (Sahana Mako), the family’s nurse, it is revealed that because Victor was just TOO BEAUTIFUL and maids had to flee the room because they just couldn’t handle it, a hypnotist is brought in to put a spell on Victor that allows his ikemen side to stay hidden when he has the glasses on. However, the side effect is that when the glasses get removed his ikemen side is so extra and over the top that he is literally a completely different person. In the show there are two songs that feature Victor and his Shadow which is the other side of him. The Shadow (Houka Haruna) is distant for the first song and represents Christopher behind him in the background. The second song is started by Christopher and the Shadow comes out wearing glasses. In the middle of the song the Shadow puts the glasses on Christopher. When he turns around he is once again Victor. The glasses are then removed completely and they have a duet dance together. The transitions from one to the other are incredible and it shows off Hitoko’s acting skills in the best possible way. It isn’t just the glasses that make the change. As Victor, Hitoko speaks and sings in a higher register that is closer to her natural speaking voice, she stutters more, her posture is often bent forward, has more outbursts and exclamations and is also portrayed as very sensitive. As Christopher, Hitoko is in full dangerous otokoyaku-killing mode; her speaking and singing voice is deeper, her posture is straight, she is more confident, aggressive, and controlling. Christopher also speaks in a very old-fashioned way and gives off an air as otherworldly in many ways. Another neat thing is that Victor addresses himself as “Boku” and addresses Elle as “Elle-san”. Christopher uses “Ore” when referring to himself and just says “Elle”.
Elle faces a crisis at one point when Christopher tries to make a move and she slaps him. She immediately panics when she thinks that she has hurt Victor though and tries to figure out what happened to her sweet awkward boyfriend. Her and Victor sing a duet towards the audience in separate rooms. The song is later reprised after Victor admits that he likes Elle and they sing it to each other in a very tender moment. Jun Hana has a very Disney princess vibe to her which is exemplified whenever she’s around Hitoko who has an equally Disney prince vibe. They are characters who could literally be in a shoujo manga. While Jun Hana does not have the strongest singing voice per se, she makes it work here.
Victor’s brothers, Valentin and Valterri are also rather amusing to watch. I was very surprised at how much I enjoyed watching Aya’s performance as Valentin. She was VERY extra. Valentin is a true narcissist and has long flowing locks. He also tends to play with the ends of his hair and is the MOST dramatic person I have ever seen. He pines after a girl he once knew called Diana and throughout the show tries to pursue a girl of the same name played by Seina Nozomi who he’s convinced is the same one he once loved. Valterri is the youngest brother and is obsessed with working out. He’s very impulsive and doesn’t really think things through which gets him in trouble later on (Victor and Valentin silently scold him at one point which is funny since both of them are using big gestures on the side of the stage while other characters are talking). He is also head over heels in love with Marie (Irodori Michiru), the sister of the rival country’s ruler, Queen Lily (Ai Sumire). Ayami Sera did a really good job at playing the bratty younger brother who just wants to have fun. This was probably her biggest role to date so far too so she got to show off her singing as well.
Speaking of Ai Sumire I need to talk about her because she was one of the most phenomenal parts of this show! She is portrayed as a campy villain with a very extra evil laugh. But DANG the girl has the most powerful voice and even gets the only vocal song in the finale! Catch me singing “IKEMEN! I-KE-MEN!” constantly. Lily is almost always surrounded by her posse made up of Rose (Shouno Chio) who is more or less her secretary who always carries an iPad with her to let Queen Lily know about the latest thing that their neighboring country is up to and Garrett (Kiraha Reo) who is Lily’s erm...really hot boytoy/bodyguard? What was quite surprising for me the first time I saw it was that Garrett does not speak AT ALL in the show. He whispers behind his hands to Lily but other than that he is completely silent and yet, the way that Kiraha (Kari) presents herself onstage even without saying a word is mesmerizing to watch. She just emits the most brooding otokoyaku energy that is mostly reserved for kuroenbis in revues. Garrett smokes, casually checks his watch, and performs a tango with Lily and I cannot stop LOOKING AT HIM ONSTAGE! Even when other characters are talking onstage if Garrett is there (save for when Victor is present) my eyes would float over to him just to watch him stare into the ether and make the slowest and most deliberate of gestures.
Of course, no true royal comedy would happen without the king and queen themselves. King Anselm (Souno Haruto) and Queen Beatrice (Maisaki Rin) are the parents of the V3 (the campaign name for the three hot princes). King Anselm is very attached to everything he owns especially his expensive collection of various artifacts. Queen Beatrice is just trying to have a nice time and wants everyone to be happy again. They are also IMMENSELY in love and get very lovey-dovey in front of their boys who are all grossed out by their displays of affection. Given that the two actresses are also classmates they play off of each other really well and have a very nice relationship that is enhanced through that. They play an important role to the story and Maisaki Rin (Hime) even gets a moment of adlibbing.
One of the great things about PRxPRince was actually the amount of adlibs that were included with each performance. There are several moments in the script where adlibs occur for each performance, similar in the way of the adlibs in shows like Lupin III and Bakumatsu Taiyouden occur. Even though you can tell these adlibs are planned out somewhat in advance it’s nice to see the actresses work with things that are also on the spot sometimes since not everything is completely planned out. Some were funnier than others but that’s all part of the fun of the show and just finding a good balance with the audience. Personally I loved the adlibs even though I couldn’t understand some of them sometimes. Other things that were adlibbed were little gestures here and there that the characters would do that were different with each performance. One of my favorites was watching Kari scold Michiru at one point and one performance Kari leaned over Michiru so much that Michiru’s tiara had bounced back onto her head as she came up. The adlibs definitely made each performance I saw unique and lots of fun especially when the show was in the middle of Japan’s naming for the new era and suddenly 平成 (Heisei) and 令和 (Reiwa) adlibs were added to the mix.
As the ministers figure out the next part in the V3 PR campaign Damian suggests that they host a ball in order to find eligible matches for the princes. A lot of stuff goes down in Act 2 during the ball including Marie showing off her pet bug to literally everyone within range, Elle finding said bug and actually communicating with it, Garrett and Rose playing musical instruments, Valentin doing a slow baywatch walk, and Victor expressing his true feelings towards Elle. At the very end of the show Victor and Elle actually go into the audience to do high-touches with those lucky to be on the aisle seats (alas, I was not one of them). One of the best moments was from the final performance when Top Stars Nozomi Fuuto and Maya Kiho were in the audience and I was able to see Hitoko shake both of their hands in a very sincere gesture since she was so happy both of them could make it to the show.
I talked a bit about the music before but OH MY GOD this show’s music is incredible! It’s very catchy and pleasing to the ear. A lot of the songs are slightly reminiscent of older Takarazuka shows but are also not too old-fashioned sounding. A lot of brass and strings are used in the songs which is very enjoyable. The finale takes it one step further though and incorporates electric guitar.
Yes, I am going to spend an entire paragraph just on the finale because it deserves to be talked about. After the happy ending of the show intense rock music is played as the curtain rises to three figures: Ai Sumire, Kari, and Shouno Chio. A rock version of “Lily’s Song” is played and it is THE BEST THING EVER! After my first viewing I always looked forward to the finale because it starts off super strong and doesn’t disappoint. Ai Sumire is the only one who gets to sing in the finale which is appropriate considering her voice is amazing and is one of the best singers in Yukigumi imo (Daikiho aside, of course). After the villainous trio have their number Hitoko sneakily walks onstage to stand on a platform. She is dressed in a dark blue coat with gold trim and a silk wine red shirt on beneath it. Her blonde wig stays on for the entire time. An instrumental rendition of “Two souls” is played as she descends the stairs, dancing fluidly and gracefully like a swan and takes front and center. The “fuu!” that emits from her lips is enough to make the audience shatter into 1000 pieces. They have fallen under their prince’s spell with the lure of Hitoko’s sanpakugan (this was so effective I was unable to watch this part of the finale with the opera glasses because it was THAT powerful). The rest of the otokoyaku join her shortly afterwards in a dance which evolves into an instrumental “Diana” as Hitoko takes off to change into her next costume while Ayana leads. After the otokoyaku dance they scatter and the musumeyaku all appear in lovely pink dresses. Hitoko has changed into a Prince Charming white military uniform and dances in the center, surrounded by beautiful women, which honestly, the dream. A shift in the music starts and one by one the ladies leave the stage until there is one remaining. But even SHE isn’t the goddess that our prince seeks. Jun Hana makes her way onto a small platform in a gold ball gown similar in style to Belle’s from Beauty and the Beast. When Hitoko turns around and sees her it’s like a wave of happiness rolls through them both and they have a classic waltz set to an instrumental version of “Someday My Prince Will Come” from Snow-White and the Seven Dwarfs. It is canonically one of the purest moments in the entire show even though the entire time I watched it I prayed that Hitoko would not trip over Jun Hana’s massive ballgown. The only mishap I saw was on the first day when while twirling Jun Hana to the side she slipped ever so slightly but managed to catch herself gracefully. After their intimate dance they exit together and the curtain call rolls.
This show brought together so many hearts and it was so refreshing to see Yukigumi do a comedy bow hall since it has not been done since the early 2000s. I love this show more than I have loved any Takarazuka show and I feel blessed that I was able to see it live as many times as I did and to be able to share this wonderful experience with others.

CR Features Argues About the Best Opening Sequence of 2018
Anime Awards voting starts TONIGHT and WE'RE SUPER EXCITED! However we have gotten so loud with our individual opinions on who we think should win that we’ve been told to duke it out via written words instead of continually disrupting our coworkers (sorry fam).
We’ll hit each category by the time we hit the evening of Anime Awards! Today’s piece gets down to the nitty gritty of Best Opening Sequence, Best Ending Sequence, Best Animation, and Best Character Design. Let’s down to business!
Best Opening
Pop Team Epic from Pop Team Epic
youtube
The opening so nice you saw it twice every episode, and it was a banger every time. It wasn’t just the song, either--the OP was full of little things to keep looking for, so you never skipped it unless you were a total monster.
-Nate Ming
Black Rover by Vickblanka from Black Clover
youtube
The music for Black Clover OPs and EDs has always been top notch, but Black Rover is on another level. The sequence put together by the animators is also the perfect combination of cool, goof, and heart. It’s probably the opening I’ll associate with the series forever.
-Peter Fobian
  UNION from SSSS.Gridman
youtube
This song, like SSSS.Gridman itself, made me so happy. It was light and deft, but somehow perfect for the opening of a show about kicking the crap out of kaiju. For a genre that can sometimes feel as tired as “robot man saves the world (and his friends),” this OP, along with the rest of the show, proved that SSSS.Gridman was going to pay a lot of tokusatsu homage, while still being a breath of fresh air.
-Daniel Dockery
Rightfully by Mili from Goblin Slayer
youtube
I’ve been following Mili’s works since I played Deemo, and their songs always have a way of worming right in and refusing to leave. So when I heard that they were doing Goblin Slayer’s opening, it was a very welcome surprise! Mili delivers a powerful performance that has a calm, yet a very vicious tone to it. Combined with the opening visuals, it really ties it all neatly together to set the mood for the show.
-Nicole Mejias
Adabana Necromancy from ZOMBIE LAND SAGA
youtube
Dapper dancing zombies. Super sentai action scenes. Idol dancing. ZOMBIE LAND SAGA’s opening sequence somehow manages to straddle several disparate genres without losing its own unified personality. Set to the theatrical “Adabana Necromancy” performed by the main Japanese cast, main character Sakura’s defiant proclamations of chasing her dreams and the truly unprecedented amount of explosions meld into something strange and charming--a perfect fit for this series.
-Cayla Coats
Best Ending Sequence
Hibana from Golden Kamuy
youtube
You always heard this one warming in the background as an episode would come to a close, and the striking imagery of  “Hibana” just made me more excited for what the next episode of Golden Kamuy had in store.
-Nate Ming
Pulse from Asobi Asobase - workshop of fun -
youtube
Although I’ve still got Hizuru Basho bumping in my head from Fall, no ED in 2018 was as much of a thematic masterstroke as Asobi Asobase. After a misleading opening giving the series the appearance of a serene high school slice of life and a very confusing episode featuring mean-spirited pranks and Hanako shrieking, the ending dumps you straight into hell.
-Peter Fobian
  Book-end, Happy-end from Skull-face Bookseller Honda-san
youtube
I feel ya, nervous skeleton man. You had a hard day, and then you just go sit on the floor and read manga. And then you lay in the bed and read manga. What a beautiful life.
-Daniel Dockery
Hibana from Golden Kamuy
youtube
Banger alert! This song is incredibly GOOD! Not only is this song catchy, but the lyrics are a pretty good representation to what Golden Kamuy is all about, with lines about an “erased destination” and “accepting everything, pain and all.” If you skipped this ending, I don’t even know what to say; it’s too good of a song to skip!
-Nicole Mejias
Pulse from Asobi Asobase - workshop of fun -
youtube
Peter pretty much nailed it. After the fake-out cutesy pop opening, Asobi Asobase presents us with three middle school girls who make heinously ugly expressions and are just really, hilariously terrible people. The death metal anthem “Pulse” is a perfect fit for the horrible little nightmare children that comprise the show’s main cast.
-Cayla Coats
Best Animation
Violet Evergarden
You don’t really expect TV anime to look this good--and then it does, and you’re treated to gorgeous, theatrical-quality animation every single episode. I wasn’t invested in Violet Evergarden, but just witnessing it made it worth the watch.
-Nate Ming
Violet Evergarden
This one is really difficult to argue with. It’s Kyoto Animation on their absolute A game. The studio doesn’t often delve into fantasy but their backgrounds and character designs were breathtaking. Kyoto is always top shelf but they maintained damn near movie quality animation for the entire series run. Even their 3D integration was something to behold.
-Peter Fobian
Violet Evergarden
youtube
LOOK AT HOW PRETTY EVERYTHING IS. Look at the backgrounds! And the shadows! And the way that the hair is animated! I know that that seems like a really small thing, but it irks me sometimes when everyone seem to have immovable Super Saiyan hair (though there’s nothing wrong with your hair, my beautiful shonen bro’s). Violet Evergarden was a bounty to look at.
-Daniel Dockery
Violet Evergarden
I’d be crazy to not pick Violet Evergarden for this category. I mean, just LOOK AT IT! Absolutely GORGEOUS and BEAUTIFUL animation! I initially thought this was a movie, but nope. Kyoto Animation weren’t playing any games when it came to showing off their amazing animation skills, and my goodness, was it ever a sight to behold! Just look at how they animated the characters’ HAIR! Amazing stuff!
-Nicole Mejias
  Pop Team Epic
If you asked me two weeks ago, my answer here would have been Violet Evergarden for sure. But then my mind was changed when I saw our own Noelle Ogawa argue for Pop Team Epic’s stellar animation in this article. Pop Team Epic employs a wide range of animation styles--from 16-bit video game sprites to the horrifying, MS Paint-esque Bob Team Epic sequences to the use of unfinished storyboards seen above. The series is practically a showcase for experimental animation, and that suits the surreal humor quite well.
-Cayla Coats
    Best Character Design
  Devilman Crybaby
Akira Fudo and Ryo Asuka are some of the most iconic, memorable, and legendary characters in anime and manga, so seeing them (along with Miki, Siren, and the rest of the cast) get clean, modern redesigns for Devilman Crybaby was a real treat.
-Nate Ming
DARLING in the FRANXX
Just based no sheer amount of fan art, it’s hard to argue with this prediction. Masayoshi Tanaka has developed a well-earned reputation for his designs, in fact one of Atsushi Nishigori’s motivations for working with TRIGGER was the opportunity to work specifically with Tanaka. The character designs are great and so much work from accompanying DARLING in the FRANXX designs to multiple uniforms went into it. It’s probably my favorite part of the series.
-Peter Fobian
Hinomaru Sumo
There’s not a lot of amazingly intricate variety among the characters of Hinomaru Sumo. But I appreciate any anime where all the main characters look like they’d be equally at home being lackeys in a separate anime that get the crap kicked out of them in an alley by the Kenshiro-esque main character. Also, I love this show and so should you.
-Daniel Dockery
Cells at Work
Cells at Work is so beloved for the way it illustrates our hard-working cells as they work night and day to protect our bodies. Keep on kicking ass and taking names, cells! But on the other end of the spectrum are the threats and bacteria that invade our bodies, and some of them are depicted in very frightening ways. Remember to take care of yourself to avoid illnesses! Your cells are counting on you!
-Nicole Mejias
Laid-Back Camp
There wasn’t a show I watched in 2018 that had more effective character designs than Laid-Back Camp. Everything visual choice made about these characters conveys something about their personality. Nadeshiko’s downward-sloping eyelids and messy pink hair are the perfect compliment to Rin’s alert eyes and neatly tied up hair. These choices echo how the characters themselves play off of one another, and gosh, it’s just delightful.
-Cayla Coats

Arc V Anniversary Discussion Day 21: Self-Insert/OC Day
So this got long, and i’ll divide it into some categories lol.  First, shipping babies!  Because I can never have enough of those!!
all under the cut cause it’s so long fuck
Pendulumshipping
Sakaki Keahi: the oldest and one of the two Sakaki children who follow into professional dueling.  Reiji and Yuya both help her find ways of navigating an action field to accommodate her paralyzed legs, both with Reiji’s technology and adaptive devices he designs for her, and Yuya teaching her how to trust her monsters to help move her across the stage if she needs a hand.  Keahi is very much a big sister, always mothering her little sisters and nagging at even her friends.  Most of her friends affectionately call her ‘mom.’
Sakaki Kouki: is very much more technologically focused, and she likes to tinker with Solid Vision and stuff.  She’s a shy girl who has trouble socializing. She’s also gender questioning, currently iding as a trans girl.
Sakaki Ray: Kouki’s twin sister. Ray is determined to follow in both her sister’s, father’s, and namesake’s footsteps in order to become the world’s best entertainment duelist.  She’s super emotional and tends to be really hard on herself when she messes things up, but she’s also very determined.  She’s Way into Riding Duels and actually feels more comfortable with those than with Entertainment Duels in the end because there’s less to live up to
Sakaki Sakura: Sakura is the youngest, a precocious seven year old who wants to be a princess astronaut.  Her favorite things to do are watch her sisters duel and play dress up, especially with papa’s big scarf as a cape.
All four girls have the ability to see and hear duel monsters.
Darkrebelshipping
Kurosaki Fukuro: the older twin.
Kurosaki Yugao: the younger twin. (Yugo tries to be upset that Yugao’s name is so close to his, and Yuto starts to accidentally call the two of them each other’s names, but he loves his “niece and nephew” so he can’t be too mad lol.)
Fukuro and Yugao are both generally quiet, though Yugao is definitely the more assertive of the two.  They like to sit at home and draw, mostly, but they are also rabid fans of various tv shows and if you want them to be loud, get the two of them in a shipping argument.  They usually have different tastes in ships and they will fight each other to the death over them lol.  In general these two are a couple of fucking anime weebs.  They’re also fucking hot topic nerds (what do you expect when they have shun and yuto as dads)
Appleshipping
Sho Sakaki-Atlas: takes after them in loving mechanical stuff and fixing things.  Sho adores machines and they are always getting messy working on them or getting in trouble because they completely don’t pay attention to anything except whatever project they’re hyperfocusing on.
Yumi Sakaki-Atlas: Yumi is the younger of the two, and she’s less interested in building motorcycles as she is in riding them.  She’s very much a daredevil like her father and likes to go on joyrides a lot.
Rin and Yugo argued for hours about what surname to end up taking, Yoko’s or Jack’s, because Yoko basically adopted them but Jack also did kinda unofficially adopt them too and was willing to let them use his name.  They dueled for it and it ended in a tie.
Stealthshipping
Shiunin Hotaru: a very cheerful, exuberant girl who is excited about everything.  Everything is an adventure to her and she has very little sense of trouble, often sticking her nose into things she shoulded. The younger twin.
Shiunin Amaya: a lot more cautious than Hotaru after her time with the Fuma Clan.  She can be haughty and full of herself, but she’s also very much recovering from what she went through at the hands of the Fumas, which makes her try to act a lot stronger and more confident than she actually often is.
Both girls are actually Tsuki’s sister’s kids, but after her husband died in an accident and she herself contracted terminal cancer, she begged Tsuki to take them so that the Fumas couldn’t claim them.  Hotaru they managed to get, but Amaya was taken away by the Fuma Clan for several years before they could retrieve her.
Those were the only kiddos i had the time/energy to doodle, but here’s a few others that I have!
Speaking of Tsuki’s sister, here’s a few more OCs that I came up with to fill out characters’ families/backstories:
Chizaki (Fuma) Kanon: Tsukikage and Hikage’s older sister.  She fled the Fuma clan when they were kids to avoid being executed for getting pregnant with someone outside the family, promising to come back for her brothers one day.  She ultimately was never able to get back to them until she saw Tsukikage listed as one of the Lancers.  She died of cancer a few years after finally reconnecting with her brothers.
Hojo Gekko: Reiji’s cousin from his mother’s side; the Hojo family is incredibly rich and tied to the Fuma family since feudal Japan.  He’s a scarily powerful young man even though he’s the younger brother, and Tsukikage was supposed to be sworn to serve him when he turned 18 before Reiji snapped up both brothers himself.  He’s a scary and possessive person.
Hojo Nikko: Reiji’s cousin and Gekko’s older brother.  He doesn’t give a shit about the Fuma clan anymore and would prefer to leave their archaic connection in the past.  He’s the current owner and CEO of the Hojo Corporation.
Kurosaki Chae-won: Shun and Ruri’s mother, an exuberant and excitable woman who is excessively supportive.
Kurosaki Airi: Shun and Ruri’s other mother, slightly more lowkey than Chae-won, but not by much.  Loves her kids to death and embarrasses them daily.
Kunori Mao: Yuto’s mother, a quiet and kind young woman who has raised Yuto by herself.  Becomes close friends with the Kurosaki moms.
And here’s some of Yoko’s gang members which I came up with for a fic that i will write eventually, whom y’all probably saw already if you saw my art submission for the “gang” prompt earlier this month.
Maeda Maiko: Yoko’s first gf, a rough and tumble kinda girl, but also very fun-loving.
Kobayashi Hikaru: easygoing, tends the bar and helps the girls sort out their problems; can’t usually be bothered to do any of the actual fighting, but when there’s someone in trouble, you don’t want to be on her bad side.
Watanabe Honoka: formerly a rival who was won over by Yoko, she’s a bit of a wild card and is more interested in picking fights than winning them
Katou Satomi: a matronly woman who’s sweet nature belies her dangerous skills.  Often smiling.
Fujioka Tomiko:  a small and ferocious girl who loves joy-riding.
Oshiro Kiku: a nervous girl from a rich family who was once trapped in a relationship with another gang leader before Yoko destroyed the gang, she hangs out with the Shooting Stars to feel safer and helps run their finances.
And finally.....I gotta shout out my self-insert, cause of course I have one of those:
Hale Reiser: an American college student on a study abroad in Japan, she’s dazzled out of her low emotional period by Yuya’s duel against Strong Ishijima, and decides to take up dueling to emulate him.  When the truth of the dimensional war comes out, she joins a program to train at-home Lancers in case of a home invasion.  At some point she meets Grace Tyler and all of my self-indulgent fantasies of dating Grace come to fruition.

A New World Chapter 10: Solo Performance
Author Note: Flexing my lack of mmo knowledge today.
First Chapter Previous Chapter
______________________________________________________
Finally, after what felt like months of packed schedules with no end in sight, Rinko had some time to play NFO. It was only a small amount of time, barely an hour, but she was determined to put her other worries aside and make the most of it. She would suppress her concerns about the future and enjoy herself.
At least, that was what Rinko told herself as she booted up her computer and launched NFO.
When Rinko logged in as her character, slipping her headset over her ears, Ako’s character immediately materialized next to her.
“Rin-rin! You made it!” Ako typed in the chat, before making her character jump around Rinko’s multiple times in a row.
“I did! \( ̄▽ ̄)/ ” Rinko typed in response. She opened up the mailbox on her account, which was full of unopened messages. Some of them were system messages, while others were from Ako and her other online friends. She hit the button to claim all attachments, leaving the rest of the messages for later.
“There’s a hydro boss you just have to fight.” Ako had stopped jumping to type. “We can get there from the undersea cave city.” That sounded like a lot of fun. A party request flashed on Rinko’s screen, inviting her to team up with Ako. She clicked yes, and a moment later was pulled into a loading screen.
When the game loaded once again, her character was the aforementioned undersea cave city. “You need more debuffs for it, right?” Rinko popped open her hud menu as she recalled their prior conversation, looking at her presets for hotbars.
“It hits suuuuper hard.” Was the reply, which Rinko took as a yes. She picked her best preset for attack debuffs, making sure to bring some hard-hitting spells as well. She was all set for ranged dps.
“I’m ready to go.” Rinko messaged once she had saved and closed the settings.
Ako’s character cheered, and then ran over to the npc who assigned the dungeon. The queue timer popped up on the screen.
The dungeon was meant for four players, so they would need to be matched with two more. Usually, they would form their own full group, but that was when they had more time to play together. For just one dungeon, it wasn’t worth it.
“What boss patterns should I look out for?” Rinko asked as the timer started to tick up.
“He does a lot of aoe attacks.” Ako typed back quickly. She was in the process of changing the appearance of her character’s armor. She was set up to tank, so she probably wanted to look the part. “In big square patterns.” Rinko would need to keep moving to avoid those. Unlike Ako’s build, hers could barely take any hits.
The queue timer ticked on.
Luckily, they didn’t have to wait long. Within a couple minutes they were matched into a full party and started loading into the dungeon.
This dungeon was added about a month ago, though Rinko hadn’t had time to play it yet. It was a new area that explored the depths of a large cave network. It was full of different water based creatures, with a tough boss at the end. Rinko and Ako had talked about it a few times, planning to run it together as soon as Rinko had time.
Rinko smiled as the game loaded, getting her first look at the scenery. The caves stretched ahead of her character, lined by glowing stone. The others appeared as well, which triggered the start of the dungeon.
As the group moved through the dungeon, Rinko filled her role. She provided buffs and debuffs, as well as hitting enemies with magic spells.
She was having so much fun, she could almost forget about what she needed to do after this.
Rinko glanced at her wall calendar, without even thinking about it. The large red circle drawn around one of the dates was a reminder.
No, Rinko jerked her eyes back to the screen. Now wasn’t the time for that. While she’d been distracted, the group was getting away. Ako had stopped midway to wait for her.
Rinko triggered her sprint skill to chase after them.
They cleared each section of the dungeon, wiping out enemies and picking up the quest items. When they reached the end, they placed the items in a plaque to open the final door.
Rinko followed the others inside. Her build was pretty squishy, so she tended to stay in the back of the group. The healer, a player they picked up from the queue, stayed close to her.
Past the door was a large open room. It had transparent walls that showed water on the other side, where various fish and sharks swam past. Rinko looked around at it for a moment, impressed with the new graphics. The devs had put a lot of effort into this. Then the boss roared, drawing her attention to it.
The new boss was a huge, towering creature. It had dark blue skin and gills like a fish, with bubbles of water emerging from them. A text box popped up of it yelling for them to get out of its kingdom.
Rinko couldn’t help but smile as she moved into position; no matter how cocky this boss was, her party was going to win!
The fight started with a flurry of action as Ako lunged at the boss. Their physical dps was close behind her.
Rinko started casting her debuffs, taking note of how quickly Ako’s health was depleting. She started with the attack debuffs, before pelting the boss with magic spells.
After a few seconds, the ground below her character’s feet glowed red. This was the aoe attack Ako mentioned. Rinko cancelled her current spell to move out of it, barely evading being hit.
The boss was only down about 10 percent of its health.
Rinko had missed this, the thrill of playing online with friends and the danger of a hard fight. This boss was particularly tough, no wonder Ako had needed her help.
The fight went on, with the four party members all working together to take the boss down. When its health had reached around 25 percent, Rinko glanced down at the time.
She only had about 20 minutes left before she had to go. More than half of her game time was already over. After this, it was back to the grindstone, back to the task she didn’t want to think about.
Suddenly, Rinko’s screen flashed bright red. She’d only lost focus for a moment, but that was enough for the boss to fire off another aoe attack. It had blasted her character, taking her from almost full health to fainted in just a few seconds.
“Rin-rin!” Ako’s character ran over, using an emote to kneel down next to her. “You will be avenged!” Rinko could imagine her shaking her fist in the air.
“Hey!” Their healer typed, running over. “I’ll rez her, don’t stop fighting.”
“Oh, right.” Ako’s character stood back up. She scurried back into the fray, regaining the aggro from the physical dps.
Their healer cast a spell, and within thirty seconds Rinko’s character was back on her feet. “Thank you (* ^ ω ^)” She quickly typed to them.
The healer didn’t reply, just went back to focusing on the boss. Rinko recast her debuffs; they were close to finishing the fight.
Next time the aoe attack came, she dodged it successfully. The boss reached 10 percent health, then 2 percent, and then none. It collapsed with one last text box of rage, before a treasure box appeared in its place.
The party all approached to claim their shares of the reward. Rinko gained a cool looking armor piece, which was dark blue like the boss. They then exited the dungeon through a portal.
When the game loaded again, the party had been disbanded. Once again, their group was just Rinko and Ako.
“That was so much fun!” Ako typed in their party chat. “Next time, there’s a lava one we just have to fight.”
“For sure.” Rinko changed her settings back to her usual hotbars. She felt a little guilty, as she then checked out the new armor piece. She was the only party member to die while fighting the boss. “Sorry about fainting (*/_\) I was only distracted for a moment.”
“It’s alright, I avenged you.” Ako said that so matter of factly, as if Rinko’s character hadn’t been revived to rejoin the fight. “Was there a loud noise or something?”
“No, that’s not it.” Rinko glanced at the clock again; she only had five minutes remaining. “I was just thinking about later.” Rinko hadn’t talked about this with her bandmates, even as she missed practice to work on it. She wasn’t intending to hide it or anything, that was just how it worked out.
“Oh?”
It was alright to tell her. “I’m practicing for my midterm, which is a live solo performance.” She didn’t add that the performance would basically determine if she was allowed to stay in the piano performance program, and that it would decide what track of the program she’d be placed into.
“When when when?” Ako typed the word multiple times, expressing excitement. She asked another question without waiting for an answer. “Can I come?” Her character clapped.
Rinko glanced back at the calendar, at the date circled in red. “It’s at the main concert hall on campus next Friday. I think you can reserve a seat online.”
“I’ll be there!” Ako asserted firmly. “And I’ll bring the rest of the band with me!” Rinko knew how unlikely that was to succeed. At least two other band members had conflicts at that time on the master schedule. She couldn’t say that to Ako though.
“Thank you.” Rinko typed back. “I’ll look forward to it ♡(。- ω -).” Knowing that Ako would attend was comforting, made the performance a little less scary.
Without looking back at the clock, Rinko knew her time was up. She said goodbye, made her character wave, and then logged out of the game.
Rinko shut her computer screen off, before moving to her piano. The piece was already there, from the last time she practiced it.
She stretched out her fingers, getting ready for a whole new challenge than the one she just faced.
There were many hours of practice ahead.
__________________________________________________________
Finally, today was the big day. Rinko stood backstage with her classmates, dressed in her nicest black dress and heels. They were in one of the dressing rooms, waiting for the performance to begin.
Rinko kept to herself, choosing a spot near the corner to wait. She looked over her sheet music, making sure everything was correct.
When she went out, she would leave the music behind. Just like when Roselia played, professionals performed without it.
That wasn’t why Rinko was nervous, no she was used to it. The weight of this performance had her frozen, anxious for the possible outcomes. Her whole career rode on playing well tonight, on impressing not only Professor Nakamura, but also a panel of other instructors. For the last week her nerves had been building, as she refined her piece.
Professor Nakamura was in the back room with them, checking in students as they arrived. Rinko had gone to her office hours a few times in the last couple weeks, playing passages and receiving additional coaching. Nakamura seemed unphased tonight; this happened every year and must’ve been normal for her.
It wasn’t normal for Rinko.
Rinko’s phone, which she carried in a small handbag, buzzed a few times. It must’ve been a text message. Rinko snapped the bag open and took it out.
“I’m here!” The text from Ako read. “Come meet me out front!”
She had promised to come, so Rinko wasn’t surprised to see it. She smiled and texted back that she was on her way, then slipped out the door. Rinko walked down the long hallways separating backstage from the front of the theater.
When Rinko reached the front hall, she looked around for her friend. She wasn’t able to spot her bright colored hair; perhaps she was still outside.
Rinko moved past the flow of the crowd, pushing the main doors open to head outside.
She almost gasped at what she saw.
As expected, Ako was waiting outside for her. That wasn’t what surprised her. There were two other people with Ako, two very familiar figures. Lisa and Yukina were unmistakable, even at a distance. Rinko already felt like she could tear up, just from seeing them there. A wave of relief had rushed through her, some of the tension already lightened.
“Rin-rin!” Ako waved her over. She had her phone in her other hand.
“I-I wasn’t expecting this… Thank you all… for coming.” Rinko said as she approached them, looking between her bandmates.
Lisa smiled, throwing an arm around Rinko’s shoulders for a moment. “Wouldn’t miss it!”
“We wanted to support you.” Yukina almost smiled as she spoke. Ako was fiddling with her phone, eyes down on the screen.
“Sayo-san is here too!” Ako said triumphantly, tapping a button on her screen aggressively.
A moment later, she spun the phone around so Rinko could see the screen. On it was the last member of the band. Sayo seemed to be holding her phone so she could facetime, since the camera was shaking slightly.
“You’re going to be great.” Sayo said, her voice slightly tinny through the phone.
Rinko couldn’t believe it; Ako had managed to bring all of them here. Sure, it was kind of a loophole to have Sayo video call in, but it still counted. When had Ako grown so much, that she was able to pull this off?
Rinko’s heart was warm as she looked between her bandmates, searching for the words to express her gratitude and how much their presence meant to her.
Tears welled up in her eyes, and she blinked a few times to hold them back. “Thank you… I’ll do my best.”
“We’re rooting for you!” Ako grinned. “You’ve worked so hard for this!”
Ako was right, Rinko had worked incredibly hard to get to this point. To learn piano, to grow in university, and to prepare for this performance. It was alright to be nervous, but she shouldn’t let it overwhelm her. She could do this.
Her bandmates were here to support her.
The group exchanged a few more words, with Sayo hanging up in the middle to return to rehearsal. Rinko told them about the piece she was going to play and looked at their tickets to see where they were sitting, before leaving them to head back to the dressing room.
She felt far calmer than she had at any point in the last week. When Rinko made it back to the room, she didn’t check her music again. She found a safe place to leave her bag, and then went to the spot she needed to wait in.
Later, when the concert began, she went out to the backstage area when there were two pianists before her. She listened as they played, then it was her turn.
The crowd applauded as Rinko walked out onto the stage, the bright lights hot against her skin. She glanced out at the part of the crowd where her bandmates sat, though she couldn’t see them through the stage lights.
With her band by her side, she was ready to face the challenges ahead.
Rinko sat down at the piano, took a deep breath, and began to play.

How to Handle a Nico: Idle Idol
Primary Pairing: NicoMaki Mentioned Pairings: RinPana, NozoEli Words: ~1.5k Rating: K Time Frame: Some time while Maki is still in college but after Nico has graduated. Story Arc: Stand Alone
List of all HtHaN scenes
Author’s Note: Just a bit of Latin used in this scene. I am not enclosing it in brackets as I would in other scenes, as I believe “pro bono” is common enough in English usage - though that could just be a personal bias caused by having lawyers in the family. Also, the other words are close enough to their English equivalents that I figure most readers should be able to get the gist of it.
Nico sighed as she stared at yet another listing for renting office space. Bored. Who knew setting up a business would be so boring? Apply for a license, then wait for its approval. Fill out a form online, then wait for the email reply. Wait for this. Wait for that. Wait. Wait. Wait. Wait. Wait.
At least things seemed to be running smoothly. Or at least as smooth as Nico would assume, as she had little personal experience to which she could compare. But Nozomi and Eli reminded her regularly that she was having a much easier time than they had with their restaurant. Though they never mentioned it directly, they occasionally implied that finances were playing a fairly significant part. Paying up front greased a lot of gears.
And as for the finance depart, Maki had been nothing short of a godsend. Tsubasa had invested an impressive amount, but even that was dwarfed by the trust fund. The doctors Nishikino had, with no shortage of convincing, granted their daughter full control of one of her funds and Maki had immediately set about jumping through the necessary hoops to grant access to the fledgling Egao Jōshō.
Nico smiled as she thought about the company’s name. While everyone involved had their ideas, ultimately it had been Tsubasa’s suggestion that won out. It was a name that gave a direct nod to the founding idols; Nico and the members of A-RISE.
But now they were waiting on something else. Yet another approval or whatever. So Nico was biding her time continuing her search for the perfect location for her new company to call home. But honestly, it was boring.
Obviously, Nico missed the stage and lights and the cheering crowds that accompanied being an idol, both in school and going professional, but she also found she was missing the practice. Sure, she may have occasionally dodged idol practice back in high school, and in college she had to divide her time with studying. But during her brief stint as a full-time professional, she had gone all out. And now she found missed the routine physical exercise.
While her energy levels were nowhere near that of some of her close friends, sitting around setting up a business was leaving her with too much to spare. Lately, Nico was finding herself tapping a foot anxiously, fidgeting unconsciously or just generally feeling restless. Daily walks helped a little, and Maki was more than willing to exhaust her in the evening, but part of her wondered if she would ever be able to get back into a practice routine once Egao was up and running; to say nothing of getting back on stage.
Nico jumped at her phone’s incoming message tone. She reached over to the device and unlocked the screen to see the sender. Hanayo. Perfect timing. Nico smiled. What wonderful idol news would they talk about today? What glorious idol related topic could she use as a distraction to take her mind off things for a few moments?
RiceQueen: Nico-chan
NicoNii: What’s up, Hanayo?
RiceQueen: Would you be willing to help me with something?
NicoNii: Of course
NicoNii: Nico always stands ready to help her friends!
RiceQueen: Thanks Nico-chan
RiceQueen: It’s about Rin-chan
NicoNii: Oh?
RiceQueen: You know about her internship, right?
NicoNii: I remember you two talking about it
NicoNii: But I don’t remember the details
NicoNii: Something about assisting the PE department of a local high school?
RiceQueen: That’s right
Nico furrowed her brow. What the heck was Hanayo going to ask of her? Nico knew next to nothing about being a teacher.
RiceQueen: A few of the students recognized Rin-chan as a former member of µ’s
RiceQueen: So they asked her advice on starting their own school idol group
Ah, so it was idol related after all. Nico smirked and decided to tease.
NicoNii: What, and Rin doesn’t think she can handle it?
NicoNii: I thought she did just fine as the leader of the group when Honoka stepped down
Though she was using it to joke on Rin’s behalf, Nico was being honest about her assessment of the younger girl’s capabilities.
RiceQueen: No that’s not quite it
NicoNii: Oh?
RiceQueen: I think she’s doing fine
RiceQueen: The group is already prepping for their first live
NicoNii: So what’s the problem?
RiceQueen: She’s overextending herself
RiceQueen: Between her normal classes and the internship, her schedule was already busy
NicoNii: And she’s too prideful to ask for help?
RiceQueen: I don’t think that’s quite it either
RiceQueen: I think she’s having too much fun to realize how much she is overworking herself
Nico laughed out loud. Apparently, she must have forgotten for a moment that they weren’t talking about Maki. Or Umi. Or Eli. Those three were often stubborn about doing things themselves.
NicoNii: I suppose that does sound like something Rin would do
NicoNii: So you want me to lend a hand?
NicoNii: Ease her load a bit?
RiceQueen: If you would be so kind, yes
RiceQueen: But only if you have the time yourself
RiceQueen: I know how busy you must be setting up your company
RiceQueen: I only wish I could help more
NicoNii: You’ve helped plenty so far
NicoNii: More than you probably realize
NicoNii: And I know you’ll be helping even more in the future
NicoNii: Just concentrate on your studies for now
RiceQueen: Thanks Nico-chan
RiceQueen: So do you think you can help Rin-chan and the new school idol group?
NicoNii: It would be my honor
NicoNii: You know it’s funny, I was just thinking about how I was missing my practice routine
NicoNii: Then you messaged me
NicoNii: It’s like the contrived setup in a sitcom or something
RiceQueen: That is an interesting coincidence
RiceQueen: But a good one
RiceQueen: Thanks Nico-chan
RiceQueen: I know Rin-chan would love to work with you on this
RiceQueen: And for the girls to have not just one but two famous school idols help them
RiceQueen: And one of them being the No. 1 Idol in the Universe
Nico grinned. Now Hanayo was just stroking Nico’s ego unnecessarily. Not that she had any intention of stopping the younger girl, of course.
RiceQueen: I think they’ll love it as well
RiceQueen: No, I know they’ll love it
NicoNii: It sounds like it will be fun
NicoNii: I’m looking forward to it
RiceQueen: I’ll tell Rin-chan right away
RiceQueen: She’ll be thrilled
RiceQueen: Thanks again Nico-chan
NicoNii: I should thank you for thinking about giving me such an opportunity
NicoNii: You know
NicoNii: Depending on how it goes, maybe we can make it a regular thing
NicoNii: Helping new school idol groups
NicoNii: It can be something special that Egao does for the next generation of idols
RiceQueen: That sounds like a really good idea
RiceQueen: But you wouldn’t charge for it would you?
NicoNii: Of course not
NicoNii: It would be pro bono
NicoNii: Pro bono publico
NicoNii: Pro bono idoli?
RiceQueen: Pro bono schola idoli!
NicoNii: Yes!
NicoNii: That’s it exactly!
NicoNii: If big name law firms require, or at least strongly encourage their lawyers to do a certain amount of pro bono work, I don’t see why we can’t do the same
NicoNii: Everyone that works for Egao will need to put in some hours helping some school idols
NicoNii: Well, I guess I’m not sure if we’ll make it mandatory or not, but I think we should at least offer some rewards and incentives to those who do
RiceQueen: Would that still be considered pro bono if they’re being rewarded?
NicoNii: Well the students wouldn’t be the ones paying for the services rendered and the rewards would not be in the form of regular pay…
NicoNii: Or maybe it will be paid?
NicoNii: I don’t know
NicoNii: So… maybe?
NicoNii: I’ll ask Maki-chan about it
NicoNii: Surly she has a lawyer or two in her family
NicoNii: They can’t all be doctors
RiceQueen: Maybe
RiceQueen: But if I’m going to be working for Egao soon
RiceQueen: Perhaps I can get an early start on my quota?
RiceQueen: The more we talk about it, the more I want to help you and Rin-chan with her group
NicoNii: I think that would be great
NicoNii: Get the Navigators back together
NicoNii: But like I tell Maki-chan all the time
NicoNii: Don’t let it take precedence over your studies
RiceQueen: Understood
RiceQueen: Maybe just on nights I don’t have early classes the next day?
NicoNii: Whatever works best for you
NicoNii: But Egao is going to need the power of the knowledge and skills you’re acquiring with your degree
RiceQueen: I’ll do my best
NicoNii: I know you will
NicoNii: You always do
NicoNii: Anyway, Maki-chan is going to be home soon, so I will need to get started on making dinner soon
NicoNii: I can keep talking but there may be delays in my responses as I prepare stuff
RiceQueen: Alright
NicoNii: And I suppose I should make something for Nozomi and Eli as well
NicoNii: Have Rin send me the details when she can
RiceQueen: Will do
NicoNii: So did you catch the latest PV for that new group we were talking about last week?
Rice Queen: Yes!
RiceQueen: It was awesome!
NicoNii: I know, right?
And just like that, the two-idol obsessed girls fell into their happy routine of chatting about their favorite topic.
Author’s Note Continued: This scene serves as the in-universe beginning of an idea I had for Egao Jōshō way back when I “first” introduced it back in HtHaN 6; the company dedicates a portion of its resources to helping school idol groups, free of charge. Pro bono schola idoli, for the good of the school idol.
And sure, the students benefit from the program, but its not completely selfless on Nico’s behalf. It’s a win-win situation. More successful idols out there means more songs for her to listen to, more concerts and lives for her to attend, more PVs for her to watch, more merchandise for her to collect, etc. And it’s good publicity. If the school idols Egao has helped decide to go pro, the company that helped them get to where they are is going to, at the very least, cross their mind when they start looking to sign with someone.
Lastly, while I was tempted to throw this scene into the “A Career Change” story arc, I think I’d rather write a new arc that follows the adventures of the former After School Navigators/µ’s Public Relations subgroup as they start helping a fledgling school idol group. Which of course means more notes for the collection and more scenes added to my “To Write” list... Que zura, zura... ╮(︶▽︶)╭
Edit: Also, I used a bit of Google-fu to look up pro bono law services in Japan. Apparently, while they don’t use the same terminology as the States, the core values are essentially the same; encouraging services to be provided to those who otherwise cannot afford it. I didn’t read into extreme depth on the topic, however, as I figured that any inaccuracies in the scene can be dismissed as ignorance on the part of the characters. Of course, I would hope that nobody is seeking hard facts about how the world works in a fluffy fanfic.

What I learned from the interview ?
Today I will share my interview experience with the head of the School of Medicine. I will tell about the information from this interview and what I have learned from this interview.
Tumblr media
In this interview,I interviewed the art department head of the School of Medicine. The interview topic contains content about the university, starting with the first impression that came to the university. She said that she was impressed with many things in this university, especially the Walailak park. It was a good place to have a lot of flower at the beautiful garden and there are activities to do such as Riding a duck boat. It was a fun and relaxing activity. Next question is about the university's covid-19 epidemic measures and how to protect yourself. She responded that she was worried because the patient was near this area. She said that she should wash her hands frequently and don't go where there are a lot of people, if not necessary. Eventually, we asked her what part of the university should be improved. She said about facilities like libraries or technology systems. From this interview, I feel that the interviewee is a person with a good idea and has leadership skills in the workplace, as well as a person with the courage to answer questions directly.
Tumblr media
What I learned from the interview with the head of the art department of the School of Medicine. Allowing me to learn that I should prepare questions that have the main points. The questions asked by the interviewees should have a clear purpose. There should be a variety of questions, including closed ended questions which can be answered by either "yes" or "no" or one word answer. And another type is Open-ended questions, which require more thought and more than a simple one-word answer. In order that the interview isn't too boring. I should choose modals verbs to add politeness in asking questions such as can, could, will, would. I should practice speaking often before the interview, if in the best way I should remember the questions before the interview because l will focus on the answers of the interviewees fully. In addition, using tone of voice to ask questions and responding to the answers you receive is important. I should use the right mood and tone of each question to make the interview not too boring.
Thank you for reading my experience. I also have a link to the interview video below, so don't forget to click it.

When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon Simon Pulse
A laugh-out-loud, heartfelt YA romantic comedy, told in alternating perspectives, about two Indian-American teens whose parents have arranged for them to be married.
Dimple Shah has it all figured out. With graduation behind her, she’s more than ready for a break from her family, from Mamma’s inexplicable obsession with her finding the “Ideal Indian Husband.” Ugh. Dimple knows they must respect her principles on some level, though. If they truly believed she needed a husband right now, they wouldn’t have paid for her to attend a summer program for aspiring web developers…right?
Rishi Patel is a hopeless romantic. So when his parents tell him that his future wife will be attending the same summer program as him—wherein he’ll have to woo her—he’s totally on board. Because as silly as it sounds to most people in his life, Rishi wants to be arranged, believes in the power of tradition, stability, and being a part of something much bigger than himself.
The Shahs and Patels didn’t mean to start turning the wheels on this “suggested arrangement” so early in their children’s lives, but when they noticed them both gravitate toward the same summer program, they figured, Why not?
Dimple and Rishi may think they have each other figured out. But when opposites clash, love works hard to prove itself in the most unexpected ways.

Tales From RP - Chapter I: The Gundam Regret
Welcome back to the tales of a really bored RPer who wrote a lengthy post about some commonly found RP terms and some basic pieces of advice. I’m still extremely bored out of mind with nothing to reply to, so I decided to take a trip down memory lane. And for the sheer hell of it, I’m going to drag you all along under the pretense of teaching you lessons that’ll help your RP experience.  Today’s lesson? Appreciate what you have. My roleplaying career started on Battle.net after my paternal aunt casually gave me my cousin’s Diablo disc. At first I played only by myself and avoided the online. But after my vacation was over and I was back home, my dad allowed me on the internet with the game. I called myself Cursed_Angel, and didn’t do much at first. Eventually, I found my way to the Town Square channel, which was a stomping ground for people bored out of their mind, and was often where multiverse RP happened.  (Definition time! Multiverse, at least back in those days, meant an RP that combined several different universes at once. So instead of roleplaying exclusively, say, Marvel, you also tossed in Card Captor Sakura, Gundam, Sailor Moon, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, etc. A Multiverse character is either: a; a character that exists in a multiverse RP, or b; a character who exists in several different universes at once. Example of the latter definition: My character Rin Anderson is a multiverse character. She’s a dimension hopper that is constantly trying to find her way home, and winds up in different universes, where she abides by the rules of that universe and explores it before gaining enough energy to leave again.  Multiverse RPs can be insanely complicated. Each universe has their own core rules, such as different rules on vampires and werewolves, magic vs science, telepathy allowed or not allowed, technology advanced vs Bronze Age equivalent, etc. Generally, if it is a Multiverse RP, it is assumed that the rules exist simultaneously and overlapping, and not at all. Confusing? Yeah, it’s basically a free-for-all. The definition of all of these could have changed by now, but that was, at the time, the definitoins of Multiverse and Multiverse Characters.) For whatever reason, my Battle.net server had a huge following of Gundam fans. We had clans as well, consisting of Gundam characters, mostly from Gundam Wing, and G Gundam. My little Cursed (Yes, her first name was Cursed) was an amnesiac little flower who flitted around with the Wolves, the Gundam Wing crew, the Shuffle Alliance, and even the Zoids pals. Eventually, she gained a Liger Zoid, and a Gundam that used a traditional cockpit as well as the G Gundam cockpit, based on whatever her needs were for fighting, and eventually even the Zero programming in the traditional cockpit. Looking back, I’m actually fairly proud of that achievement. Cursed never claimed to have those off the bat. Those were all gifts given to her by the other RPers. She gained the Zoid after repairing it with the tiny Zoid gang, and her Gundam was constructed for her by Duo Maxwell and Sai Sai Ci. She even ended up as a sixth member of the Shuffle Alliance, though I can’t for the life of me remember what she had. I want to say she was another Joker alongside Argo, and again, this was something the group decided on altogether. I was one of the few OCs to attain items like those without actually Mary Sueing/Godmoding and claiming I had them initially. They were items granted to her by the canon characters that she earned. If I could find a way to revive Cursed, I would. She is without a doubt one of my all time favorite characters, even though I cringe at how preteen Kayla RP’d, and what caused me to retire her.  I mostly interacted with.. I think it was Kyoji_Kashu_, Duo_Maxwell, HeeroYuy SaiSaiChi_, and Domon_Kashu- or something like that. All the hyphens and underscores that RPers could love. We had pretty much a full set of characters and even duplicates, but we were the core players. Domon and Cursed were stalwart allies who fought in several battles together. Duo and Cursed were inseparable and terrifying troublemakers that should have never been left to their own devices, ever. Sai and Cursed bonded as two youngsters, a sibling bond between the two, and it was Sai who installed the additional cockpit into the Cursed Gundam- yes, that’s what we called it- to allow her to use the latex-loving piloting style of G Gundam. Heero eventually grew to treat Cursed like a little sister, and was the one that installed Zero on Cursed during some epic RP plot that I wish I could recall, but I think it came after Cursed ended up piloting Wing Zero when him and Quatre couldn’t.  The character that I enjoyed RPing with the most, however, was Kyoji.  Cursed and Kyoji clashed several times, enemies to the bitter end, as she sought to protect Domon and Rain from him. The fights between the two were pretty epic and Cursed, being the novice, hardly ever won. As we progressed through the plot and we did all that crazy ‘Oh he’s not REALLY evil, it’s just the Gundam!’ bizniz, the two grew romantic. The two had a bond that was incredibly deep, considering how novice of RPers we were at the time. As I grew better at RPing and Cursed’s skills grew from combat- like a proper character, she learned, adapted, and trained hard to become better- I grew cocky.  I ended up betraying my character’s personality. Cursed was a soft-spoken girl, not unlike me myself. I was severely bullied growing up, and had little-to-no confidence. Cursed, meanwhile, was accepted in ways I could never be, and someone that I think in the end, I wanted to be like. I began to project my own insecurities onto her, and twisted the personality of my beloved character into something grotesque. She became arrogant, cocky, full of bravado, when before she was the girl that ran after Domon asking to train, or listened in rapt attention when Heero repaired his gundam.  It wasn’t until I made the biggest mistake of my time RPing on Battle.net that I realized the path I had gone down. Cursed was interacting with Kyoji, and while I never can remember how it got to this point, I clearly remember Cursed boldly saying that she was far too strong to need Kyoji, and he was holding her back, that she was beyond his skill level. She destroyed him, and took off without a care, an act completely out of character for her, driven by my own need to be the best. Even worse, was my cockiness went OOC. I basically told him I no longer needed him, that I could RP with whoever I wanted, and that he was beneath me. That was the first time that I realized that my words could have an impact on the person behind the screen. Kyoji and Domon were played by real-life brothers, and Kyoji stopped logging in on that account. We had multiple accounts that we logged in and out of. I had Rikku from FFX2, a custom named Katsume, and Cursed. (I think at one point I had a Sai Sai Ci as well, and even tried my hand at a Heero. I have files somewhere with my old usernames but I found the e-mails I used to send to my boyfriend asking him to log on when I wasn’t able to, so I didn’t lose them.)  I begged Domon to let him know that I didn’t mean it, that I was sorry. Kyoji logged in once and while we talked, it was clear that he wasn’t going to be coming back, that he was gone.  My favorite RP partner was gone, and I stopped logging in for some time. When I came back, our Wing clan, our Shuffle Alliance, was gone. Sometimes Duo or Sai would log back in, but they had all made new accounts and moved on.  It was never confirmed that I was the cause of it, but to this day, I still believe that my cockiness, my desire to be the best, my ego, broke up the group. When members started leaving, others left with them. We lost some of our most active members because I couldn’t control myself. I wasn’t happy with Cursed as a character, she had to be the absolute best. She had to be more, everything I could never be.  I had an amazing Multiverse RP where my character had achieved what very few OCs could. I had fun, I had friends, and I always had someone to RP with, or play a round of Diablo with. Hell, when I got Starcraft later, I always had someone to play games with.  If there is anything I want those who read this to understand, it’s to be happy with what you have. Be grateful for the partners you have, and remember that they’re people behind a screen. Remember that your words can have an impact, and that someone could become hurt by what you do or say. Don’t try to project your own insecurities, your personality, your ego onto your character. It never works out, and always makes a mess of things.  If you reach the point where you have a community that is full, a community of friends that respect and care for you, treasure that shit always, and don’t let it go. Be apart of it, be respectful, and remember that whatever you do or don’t do has consequences.  And Kyoji, if by some miracle you ever read this and remember Cursed_Angel from Battle.net, I don’t think I could ever apologize enough. I miss RPing with you, and someday, I hope I can find you again so that way, I can tell you how wrong I was to say such things. I was lucky to have you as a friend, and not a day goes by that I don’t regret what I did, or what I lost. Someday, I hope to bring back Cursed, maybe even in a Gundam setting, but I know it will never be as amazing as our crazy, zany plots in Town Square.  As always, feel free to ask if you have any questions regarding RP, or are just bored out of your mind. Next time we’ll be checking out one of the following stories. Got one you want to hear first? Send me an ask and tell me which one you want to hear, or Twit at me on the Tweeter.
