Quick sketch of an au where Shrewpaw/Shrewtail survives :)
Shrewtail might be a bit of everyone's dad like Brackenfur ? From his few apparitions in the books, he is a nice, understanding and friendly cat who cares about others !
He would not take kindly to Spiderleg ignoring his kits. I like to imagine that maybe, instead of Leafpool talking to Spiderleg about his role as a father when he is sick with a cough, it would be Shrewtail !
I just really like Shrewpaw, he was one of my favorite character from the second arc when I was a kid !

BOULDERCLAN'S STARTING CATS
A set of cats on the run from Orioleclan after Snailstar and Swarmfoot were accused of killing the Orioleclan deputy. Each of them gathered their closest companions (and Wingnoise managed to convince the Orioleclan leader's daughter to grab one of her younger siblings and sprint out with the crew) and they all booked it to a mountain range.
Some background lore notes:
Wingnoise was in a relationship with the dead deputy. They kept it secret primarily because Orioleclan's leader (Hazelstar) didn't want her deputy in a relationship.
Hazelstar is on her 4th life.
Meadowpatch is Gustspeckle's aunt.

Cinderheart, Poppyfrost, and Hazeltail become warriors.
Foxpaw and Icepaw are apprenticed to Ashfur and Squirrelflight. Frostfur retires after their apprentice ceremony.
Darkstar dies. Jaypaw is re-apprenticed to Mistlebird. Runningstar promotes Ashfur to deputy.
Squirrelflight dies when the tunnels flood :( Icepaw is reapprenticed to Spiderleg.
Daisy and Spiderleg have a litter; Rosekit and Toadkit.

Alphabet Warrior Cats Day 4-D! For letter D I did Daisy the Horseplace cat who joined ThunderClan at the lake territories! Sootkit (after Pitchfang's mentor Sootfang)
Rosekit (after Doverose (Nettledeer tries to deny it but it's so obvious and you BET Doverose will not shut up about it)
Dewkit (Pitchfang's ref mentions he likes the sensation of dew falling on him)
Eaglekit (a bird/flight related name, referencing Nettledeer's nickname Nettlesoar and his love of heroism, as eagles are often associated with bravery)
