I like think David and Rowan met briefly as kids. Just the once on some kind of bring your kid to work day. They only made eye contact. Brief enough they don't remember it when they meet again later but... Idk I just think its a nice thought.

Wonka Review- A Joyous And Delightful Movie With A Wonderful and Magical Spirit

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was one of my favorite films growing up as a kid. It had a magical yet wonderful feel to it and Gene Wilder was a darkly fun Willie Wonka. Have you ever thought to yourself: Yee howdy, I wish I could know what everyone thinks of my favorite character, and I also wish we could all definitively rank them in popularity based on the whims of the public? Then do I have the thing for you!

Right out the gate, it's time to vote for favorite characters. The votes for favorite NPC (human) and favorite NPC (other) will be running alongside each other, with the vote for NPC (other) starting a little later to make them both finish at the same time and end in an epic dual victory.

I have chosen to split them up because there's a lot of NPC's and we can expedite the process somewhat by having separate tournaments running alongside each other.

Humanoid creatures such as Pandorians residing in the circus will be counted as humans because that's how they choose to present and I will respect that.

Certain conditions apply regarding characters added to SSO just to host races, NPC's that are named but do not take part in quests, and characters from earlier games. these characters will not partake because the list is so. long. already.

Every poll will be accompanied by a picture and a brief description to refresh your memory, so don't worry if you can't remember them just by name! If you have any concerns or can't see your favorite NPC anywhere, send a message or an ask.

The first NPC (human) tournamnet will take place over 3 sessions of 40 posts per week, because it's 120 posts and I don't want to overwhelm you with that many posts. Once we've narrowed it down to 60 favorites it will be split into 2 sessions, and once we've only got 30 contestants left, I'll post them all in one go until a winner is declared. That's also when the NPC (other) polls will be posted.

Who will go up against who is randomized and can be found under the cut.

They may be relatively new to my mind,  but they are a resilient thief in a sci fantasy adventure story I'm publishing over in Kindle vella (the Dark Heart by j peterson). She's smart,  funny,  and definitely in over her head with space pirates and robot gangsters around every corner. 

She may also be dating her new gnoll gf and hasn't really come to terms with a relationship based on adrenaline yet. 

She's short, with blue hair and bright eyes.  She dresses in old clothes,  all that she could afford.  Everything on her is old and worn, except her blaster,  which everyone thinks is too big for her.  She disagrees, of course.  She's thin from growing up on the streets, strong from climbing into buildings she doesn't belong in,  and moves in darting motions like a mouse.

i'm not good at trying to talk about my characters like this so i've mostly written her backstory, which got kinda long. whoops!! here's some quick points of interest though, if you don't wanna read all that:

-HUBRIS -he's an astronaut! -experiences....ominous visions.... -most of his writing takes place when he's 31 and older -gay divorced. maybe not legally, but emotionally. who likes divorce here raise your hand please -where's your rage??? where's your fucking rage???? -SEINFELD CHARACTER I MOST ASSOCIATE WITH HIM: george costanza. they are actually very very different in personality, but often i find when i see lines from him posted out of context on tumblr, it becomes very easy to insert ophelia. sorry. -TMA FEAR IDEAS FOR HIM, IF YOU'RE INTO THAT SORT OF THING: the stranger? the spiral?? the vast??? there's lots of options! you could probably even argue the hunt at a certain point, if you want! -i like him :)

ophelia has a LOT to prove, especially to herself. her story begins in the distant, futuristic year of 1994. ophelia was left alone for over a year on a failing space station orbiting a dying star, fighting for her life to live to see a rescue party. she saved the lives of her crewmates, who had all entered cryosleep to conserve resources--but ophelia herself didn't technically survive. the rescue party found her dead near the destroyed life support system.

but after freezing her and taking her back to earth, ophelia is revived! yippeee!!! when she's asked about the life support system, all she remembers is having a near-death hallucination about the sun speaking to her, telling her they can both make it out of this alive. weird... :/ oh well that probably doesn't mean anything it's fine. life is far from simple for her back on earth, though. she discovers she's become a sort of celebrity--when the news broke that a rescue party was needed, all eyes on earth turned to her plight.

now that she's recovering on earth, ophelia has to face the strange perceptions that developed of her. her traumatic experience has been turned into a point of debate about space travel, conspiracies about the company she works for, picking apart the "political" aspects of who she is over what she's accomplished--even a movie for entertainment purposes, with a shocking, tragic ending depicting her death. ophelia doesn't like these perceptions of her, not one bit. who is this ultra-feminine woman, sobbing over the cryosleep pod of some random man they made up for movie plot purposes? is this supposed to make her more relatable, easier to SELL as an image? what's this fascination with seeing her weakened, traumatized, and desperate for human contact??

ten years fly by as ophelia reconnects to life on earth. her image has largely been forgotten and discarded; sometimes, she might talk about safety at space camps for kids or at space tech companies, but usually, she's left to her own devices. that is, until she's approached by celebrity billionaire preston young, ceo of a tech company with a shaky reputation. she has no respect for him and might ordinarily walk away, but her interest is piqued when he tells her he can offer her EXACTLY what she's wanted all these years: a second chance to prove herself. legality be damned, she can go on a real, genuine solo mission into space--but at what cost? what does preston want to accomplish, and how much will ophelia let slide for her own interests? well you can't find out because i'm not done writing yet. i hope you like her though! :)

ophelia is a white...woman-ish...person, and is relatively short and fat. under ideal circumstances, he'll normally be pretty muscular, too, and prefers to keep his hair very short--sometimes he buzzes it all off completely, but other times, he'll grow it out just a tad and shave one side. his hair is a relatively light brown with a wavy texture. he can grow a very light and patchy amount of facial hair, too, and very easily forgets to shave.

Have a Casey. So for now I’m going with his Hero Alias being Platinum. It works. Also I say Casey and Sam lost contact because they were busy, but the truth is Casey didn’t get a cellphone until Oleg gave him one. But yeah start of the story they haven’t seen each other in round about seven years.

Some random trivia:

-Casey sometimes forgets that some phrases/idioms/etc do not translate into other languages directly and just says them. Not often but it happens.

-He likes to read anything and everything, but especially trash. Whenever anyone needs to keep him occupied for an hour handing him the trashiest pulp-fiction novel they can find will do the trick.

-He loves animals. But especially cats.

-He and Baz are not friends at the start of the story. Casey’s the only person in the friend group who has known Sam for longer than Baz and Baz is Threatened. They bond over casual arson later, it’s fine.

-The hero that Kit sends him to train under, Oleg Peterson, is Dutch and was not only one of the heroes that hunted Treason and Red Diamond throughout most of Casey’s childhood he was also Treason’s greatest enemy/personal rival. Oleg took the event that gave Neil the ‘Treason’ name very personally. Of course since he never knew Neil’s real name or ever saw him without his body armor, Oleg takes some time to put 2 and 2 together.

-He got arrested for kicking in the windshield of a cop car, because the cop pissed him off.

-Where Alex likes digging up all the drama and gossip Casey likes BEING it. Nobody knows how to stir shit up quite like Casey Rowan.

-Nobody really knows where Leona is, most people presume she’s dead. Casey isn’t sure he doesn’t want her to be. He’s got enough trouble with ONE complicated relationship with a parent.

Story: Rowan disguises himself as a Jorvik Ranger when he want to gather information. While he does actually enjoy being a ranger, his primary focus is on his role as a spy for Nyr Ævi. Nyr Ævi is an opposition to Dark Core. They do not want to wake Garnok and will help the soul riders because of that. But they also share beliefs with Dark Core. Rowan voluntarily joined NÆ after feeling left out from all major clubs on the island. His horse, Ghost follows him wherever he goes but when on spy duty he alternates between an Icelandic named Basalt and a Fjord horse named Sunranger.

“I’m not the assassin type,” Thorfrid had tried to tell them when he received the news of this little endeavor.

They wouldn’t listen.

And now Thorfrid was dragging the drunkest, most horniest man he’d ever had the displeasure of hooking up with, to the nearest hotel. The breath smelled horrid, he had to have been in his 50’s when he finally kicked the bucket, and the jackass wore a business suit to a bar. The most bullshit display of power Thorfrid had ever laid eyes on, and even he wasn’t turned on by it. Now he had this dusty old man rutting up on his thigh, mildly complaining about the lack of firmness as if his thighs weren’t obviously the softest part of his body.

“Ayyyee…” the man slurred, his fingers lightly caressing the structure of the incubus’s chest. “You.. goat things got tha’ cool thang.. shapeshftin’?” A small nod. “That’s so hooot… could you- could you grow a pair of nice big-old tits for me, baby girl?”

Thorfrid wanted to throw up. Usually, he didn’t mind adjusting his body for his clients’ pleasures, but this guy… ugh, he didn’t want to think about what disgusting shit was going on in his head. He was not peering into his eyes anytime soon. “Of course, mon amour..” The phrase rolled off of his tongue with practiced perfection. No one would’ve been able to tell just how much Thorfrid was looking forward to this plan now. As his body shifted, he went back over said plan in his mind.

“He was some big shot in Hollywood, California back up in the uh.. the States, yeah.” Devon hummed as he recalled the information relayed to him earlier that day. “He really fucked over my new friend- Jessie, remember her? Pretty redhead, ugh, she’s a catch, and oh fuck, she’s gonna be mine alright-“

“Get to the point.” Rowan’s growl cut off Devon’s rambling.

The Sin Of Greed cleared his throat awkwardly. “Right, yeah. Well. His name is uh- John.. something. Fuck. Peterson? Whitterson…? Whatever. Jessie was wondering if we could do her a favor to get rid of that guy for good. Ya know, so he doesn’t have the chance to bother her anymore. He’s a horny motherfucker that’s for sure.”

That’s when all of the eyes turned on Thorfrid. Of course, sick the Sin Of Lust on the old cuck. With a gun concealed in his coat, he made his way towards the bar John frequented, and of course found the guy barreled over the bar, touching up on some poor bartender who didn’t get paid enough to put up with his hands.

And now, there he was, holding the man upright as he desperately tried to get off on him before they even started. ‘Not gay my ass,’ he thought, recalling a previous conversation they had back at the bar. Well, conversation was a loose term. He felt John grab hold of his breast and fondled it in his hand, his breath getting heavy, while Thorfrid’s hitched. “C’mon, let us get into the room first, oui?” Thorfrid hummed, grasping hold of the smaller demonic entity and lifting him over his shoulder. The giggle he earned was sickening.

Once in the hotel room that they took much longer to get into then he would’ve liked, he sat the man down, who wasted no time in getting his clothes off and shoving Thorfrid down against the bed. It’s firmness forced a breathy noise out of his throat, and he waited for John to figure out whatever the fuck he was going to try to do.

“Take off your coat.” John demanded. Thorfrid let out an irritated sigh and slipped the unbuttoned coat off of his shoulders, leaving it to lay beneath him, and exposing his half-human, half-goat-like body to the wretched, sorry excuse of a man. “God damn,” the old executive laughed with a drunken slur. “You really are a freak of nature.”

‘You’re one to talk…’ Thorfrid put on a smile. “Oh, love, I am a freak alright~” He purred, spreading open his thighs for him. John quickly put himself between them, lining their faces up before kissing him roughly. Thorfrid wasn’t sure why he didn’t expect that, honestly, but it caught him off guard and his claws dug into the sides of John’s waist. The moan he so graciously earned in response made bile rise in his throat.

“Fuck-“ the man whined with a pain in his mouth that prodded at Thorfrid’s sadistic mind.

“One rule, pretty thing,” Thorfrid murmured. “No biting.”

And then the most disgusting make out session Thorfrid had ever experienced ensued as he desperately, blindly searched the coat beneath him for his pistol. John had decided to move down to Thorfrid’s neck, which opened up his field of vision some. He let out a breath of relief when his fingers brushed against the smooth metal of a gun. He pulled it from the pocket it had been burrowed within and, as quickly as he could, readied it to fire.

That’s when he felt teeth burrow into his skin. Thorfrid hissed out and grabbed a handful of John’s hair, yanking his head back and shoved the glock of the gun deep into his gaping mouth. “I said not to bite me, you blubbering merde~”

What used to be a man’s head laid lax on his chest. Its naked body sprawled out across this sex demon’s form for the God’s to scorn. A smile tugged at his lips. Okay, yeah… yeah, he didn’t mind this. He didn’t mind this at all.

It was a beautiful morning. A morning that no one would forget. The chirping birds, the sunshine; yes, the day was truly perfect. The day Adel Young and Rowan Khanna tied the knot. It was as if the day was destined to be absolutely perfect.

“Psst. Adel, wake up” whispered a soft voice that morning. “What?” asked Adel groggily, just to come face to face with a bright, smiling Penny Haywood and a tired looking Candy Vigiere. “It’s your wedding day Adel!” Penny chirped happily. Adel’s eyes lit up immediately. “It’s the tenth of October already?!” she exclaimed. “Yes it is! Now get up, you lazy potato” grinned Candy

The next few hours were absolute chaos. There were girls and boys running around frantically trying to get the brides ready in time, for their special moment at 10:10 A.M. specifically. It had to be done. As Andre worked his magic on Adel’s wedding suit, Ammie went berserk with Adel’s hair. Penny, on the other hand, was waving the mascara wand.

It was almost ten. Ten minutes till Ten past Ten, on the Tenth day of the Tenth month. Although there’s a lot of 10’s it’s one of the most symbolic days ever. The best man of the Adrowan wedding, Kace Peterson, Adel’s honorary brother, stood beside Adel, grinning ear to ear. “You’re going to be okay Adel '' he whispered, as tears welled up in Adel’s eyes.

As the orchestra struck up a familiar tune, Adel knew that her bride was to come. As Rowan walked down the aisle, with her radiant smile in her fabulous white gown; it was too much for Adel as she burst out in tears. All eyes were on Rowan as she slowing walked towards her bride, and the music played so beautifully (albeit the sobbing of Ammie and Candy in the front row)

As the two of them recited their vows, the magical bond between the two individuals joined. And once their lips met, two souls became one.
