They really need to stop doing things like something HORRIBLE happens to Ruby and then all they do is focus on Jaune and his grief. Like yes Jaune needed to understand that he just had to accept that people change and accept the tree. BUT do they REALLY have to do that right after Ruby basically killed herself in front of her team??? Like they didn’t even get to grieve about her??? That seems really messed up in my opinion.

Like if I were Blake or Weiss, I would be SO anxious and worried that I might not actually get one of my best friends/teammate/leader back! They could have let the team react and grieve first before Jaune had to go through his development.

im sorry i have to rant just a little, i have to

first of all, if they’re really going White Knight route, i’d like to know when weiss found the time to suddenly develop romantic feelings for jaune in all this nonstop peril and fighting and pain and death. because he saved her life when cinder stabbed her? yeah, cuz he was literally the only one who fucking could cuz he’s the only one with the healing semblance. if it had been yang or ren or ruby who’d been stabbed, jaune wouldve been just as distraught and tried just as hard to save them too.

this ship could have been fine, but it just leaves such a bad taste in my mouth. yes, for whatever reason weiss has been blushing at him and clinging to his arm and hugging him this entire volume, but only now that he’s like 40 years old....? literally gross. why are they pushing it that she’s attracted to him now that he’s so much older....

and let’s not forget the early days, when jaune literally fought with neptune over who could ask weiss to the beacon dance, treating her like a trophy to be won. not to mention the actual song written about pyrrha pining over jaune and shitting on weiss in the process, telling him to look at ~her~ because weiss is ‘ice cold and it’s not meant to be.’ Aaaand now they’re making it canon anyway...? okay

i easily could and would have enjoyed jaune’s character and been more accepting of him ending up with weiss had he been written better, but the entire time he’s just felt like a glory hog. the underdog hero who started as vomit boy and eventually became a great huntsman would have been great. but why does he get to play the pivotal role in the Alyx story? 

i cant enjoy the concept of white knight when i know that, if pyrrha suddenly came back to life when ruby reawakens, jaune would choose her again immediately and leave weiss in the dust.
