Simmers, public service announcement, since some people are complaining to EA about this.

If you've lost all you saves, and you play on Windows 11 or have OneDrive installed on your computer, check OneDrive (Microsoft's auto-installed cloud app). I noticed I kept getting a OneDrive pop-up asking me to pay for more space, and apparently what it did was move everything in my hard drive and put it all in the cloud (including all my sims data, because that's in the documents folder). It's possible the recent update triggered the syncing malfunction in OneDrive. I'm not sure. All I know is, oneDrive has been known to move files from the hard drive to the cloud when it syncs, meaning your sim saves are in the cloud, and might be inaccessible to your game if not put back on your hard drive.

To prevent this from happening again, I ended up recovering almost everything from OneDrive back to my hard drive (except some photos, mods, and a couple documents it deleted for storage), then uninstalling the app to prevent further syncing, because this is a known malfunction with OneDrive. So, your issue might be on Microsoft's end, not EA's.
