My own list of overly-detailed c!stagedduo headcanons because dr3's list inspired me:
c!Punz keeps up with the revival experiments while c!Dream is in prison. Why not? Dream is already past schedule, and Vikk and Lazar are still lying around somewhere, perfectly usable. It's weird doing it alone. Punz can't help but feel like he's doing something wrong, lacking direction, lacking leadership, but then he decides that's stupid—he's just as invested in this work as Dream is, if not more. It's almost like an addiction he was craving and had to return to. It's fine. Dream will surely be happy with his efforts anyway.
c!Punz doesn't need to be told about the torture. It's staring him in the face. Dream always covers himself up, but Punz still sees the evidence. But Dream keeps acting like everything is normal, so Punz kind of just assumes it is. It doesn't really affect the present, does it? Neither of them have the right words to address it anyway. Life continues and it's normal and it's fine, but a part of Punz still resents Dream for letting this go so wrong.
c!Dream kind of assumes that the scrapped lore is c!Punz's betrayal. It's the only explanation that makes sense—and it wouldn't be the first miscalculation he's made. After the incident, he hides himself away, and Punz senses that something is weird(er than usual), so they probably meet sometime shortly after and it's confrontational and emotional. And Dream knows that he should be smarter in how he goes about this, but he's still raw from everything that's happened and he gets angry and defensive and scared and the whole thing comes out, all of it. This is also probably when Punz finds out about Quackity's involvement in everything; he would've assumed it was just Sam. It's not long after that Punz seeks out Purpled.
I hard agree on dr3's point that c!Punz seeks out c!Purpled behind c!Dream's back. I struggle to see a reality where revealing Punz as an ally in this situation is something that Dream would do, and the way that Punz delivers his pitch almost sounds emotional to the point of impulsive. Also, the whole Purpled-Quackity situation took place while Dream was still in prison, so Dream wouldn't have seen Purpled anywhere near Las Nevadas while he was scouting it out for the scrapped lore (unless he somehow saw Purpled taking Slime, which seems unlikely). Punz would naturally know more about Purpled at this point than Dream, which yeah, I'm sure he shares with him later, but with how weird these two are with information, I wouldn't be surprised if he's kept it to himself for now.
c!Vikk and c!Lazar aren't really used again after the prison. Maybe they try briefly, but it doesn't last. Dream is the one who insists that they stop. Vikk and Lazar are too far gone, it's better to get firsthand results anyway. (And it's nothing to do with cruelty, Dream doesn't care about cruelty, but it just might have something to do with vulnerability.)
OKAY BUT CAN WE TALK about scrapped lore again? and the DIFFERENCE in how cc!Sam's framed it (ie from c!Sam's perspective) versus how cc!Dream's framed it (ie from c!Dream's perspective)??
Sam: "Dream like, pleaded to me to like, save him. And I would."
versus
Dream: "I start just running my mouth to Sam. Like I'm just trying to like manipulate him, to do whatever the fuck I can to get out of the situation, 'cause otherwise I'm dead."
Like, the weight that c!Dream's perspective places on his own autonomy, on affirming that he's not begging for Sam's mercy, he's using Sam, "manipulating" him, compared to the simple, flat, almost awkward way Sam sees this situation: Dream is pleading for me to save him, and I will.
It's simple and it's short and that's what it is, to c!Sam; it beggars description; why would Sam save him? There is not a reason he can adequately and concisely state.
??: "I am preparing for the end! Well, More of a restart.... You know sometimes my dreams predict the future?"
P!Mimic: "mhm.."
??: "I had a dream, that one day... Was it... 20XX? That the world would change for the worst! I couldn't see much but an evil being came from the depths of hell, and made everything like the world before rain, but without alot of lava, with small lakes and oases, horrid beasts... And I want to prepare..."
P!Mimic: "did you forget to take the candies again?"
??: "Augh.. T-those 'candies' are trying to erase my mind from the real future!"
??: "I am just nearly done with my creation...."
P!Mimic: "a MEGA snake thing that is in our basement that looks like the snake thing from 9?"
??: "I do need something at the end...." -turns to them- "Hey, want to help out in this project?"
HEYYY, Sorry that this is scrapped, I really didn't like this idea and it felt cliche that "MIMIC'S FATHER IS THE CREATOR OF SOUSTER?!" so yeah.-
Since I keep seeing people who don't know about the scrapped lore, I'm just going to copy-paste the summary I gave a while ago:
Here's the twitter space (40:20 to 46:50)
The scrapped lore is something that Dream talked about in a twitter space after the Las Nevadas finale stream, which is most of the information we have about it. Essentially, it was a piece of lore that Dream, Sam and Quackity (and Wilbur) were going to record for Dream’s youtube channel, similar to the other DreamXD lore video, but the plans fell through, hence some people consider it semi-canon and others don’t.
The premise would’ve been that sometime after the prison break, c!Dream is walking through the SMP when he notices that the flag outside c!Punz’s base has changed—a signal between him and c!Dream to investigate. c!Dream goes in and finds a note from c!Punz containing coordinates to c!Quackity, who c!Dream is currently seeking revenge on following the prison arc. But when c!Dream goes to the coordinates, he finds that it’s a trap, and that c!Quackity has built a prison cell in Las Nevadas that’s an exact replica of his cell in Pandora’s Vault, which stuns c!Dream enough for c!Quackity to throw potions at him and knock him out. c!Dream wakes up bound and itemless, and hears c!Quackity telling c!Sam that they should just kill c!Dream and be done with it, revival book be damned. c!Quackity leaves to find the pickaxe that c!Dream previously killed c!Sam with so that he can then kill c!Dream with it, and in this time, c!Dream starts trying to convince c!Sam to let him go so that c!Quackity doesn’t kill him (there's more detail on that in the clip). The camera would then cut to c!Quackity rounding the corner with the pickaxe, only to see c!Sam alone in the room, implying that c!Sam actually did let c!Dream go. c!Dream runs away from Las Nevadas in a panic, and he takes shelter in a cave, where he suddenly hears c!Wilbur say “Why are we hiding?” from behind him. And that’s it! That’s the scrapped lore!
The hedgemage 'Scrap' (wild magic sorcerer) meets the Wizard, the Witch and the Wild One!
This was just a fun thing I came up with for my World's Beyond Number OC HAHAHA. He's kickin' it in the Citadel and I always wonder what he'd be up to with the current goings-ons there. And I always wondered how he'd go meeting the crew! ENSUE tense Wizard VS Sorcerer moment LOL
I love the gang so much! Had to do a bonus moment of the familiars meeting :) does anyone else have characters they've made up for this world? I'd so love to hear about them!
ey bestia, I don't like the resent lore I put for Mimic- they both are still a recent character, even though I made them MONTHS AGO AIUHHJJ but yeah- I'll edit it saying "SCRAPPED LORE!!".
My poor brain going with different ideas a mile a minute.
