update on the Not Entirely Alone music video!
update on the Not Entirely Alone music video!
the first draft is complete, i'm doing a few final runthroughs and I should have it posted tomorrow.
editing's been a bit of a rocky road, but I think I've found some solutions. A word of warning, I have had to remove part of the song for time constraint reasons, but I think the story still works. can't wait for y'all to see it! can't wait to hear what you think
tagging the genius themself here to keep them up to speed :)) @narcissistcookbook

idk if someones asked this before but i had a lot of fun reading through all your kaycee posts so like. what if like. uhhh how do i word this. your kaycee interpretation but with the other scrybes games or something. like what if kaycee became uhh clingy friend attached with grimora or p03 or magnificus instead of leshy
IDK if that makes sense im bad with words and IDK if that's as interesting of a prompt as it sounds but it was donking around my brain
oh oh i know exactly what you mean!! in fact thats exactly a concept ive wanted to draw before!!! ive drawn her turning into a beast to signify her unhealthy attachment to Leshy's game but i wonder how itd differ in an au where she modded the other scrybes' games instead? and got weirdly obsessed with them?
definitely a concept ill think about more i will almost certainly cook up some pictures Soon™

Since the dmg fandom (i think) collectively decided Luke is to Po3 like Kaycee is to Leshy, clearly we need to either
A) Assign Carla + Lionel to the other two Scrybes. Or swap one of the two out for Theodore, idk
B) SOMEONE needs to make a post-canon fic where, somehow, a couple people (who are to Grimora and Magnificus in the same way as Luke = Po3 and Kaycee = Leshy) get the floppy disk, recover the contents, and blah blah blah
Explanation in tags bc i tend to ramble in tags
#dmg humans as scrybes!!! funky clothing and the like#personally i feel like if we had to choose for carla + lionel#carla = grimora due to carla creating someone who has killed at least 2 people#so like. associations to death and stuff. not to mention that both girlies are lacking in content and have some sort of association-#-with a lil critter (grimora/stinkbug and carla/spider bc she made sado. so)#and then lionel = magnificus bc like. lionel treated his employees + game characters like shit. mags treats his students like shit#being a little more. idk. wimpy? than the other 3? idk if wimpy’s the word i want but its not nonconfrontational. so#like. personality wise it makes the most sense. also idk they both wrote to someone theres tension with bc something Bad is gonna happen#lionel with his own fuckin death and mags with po3’s great transcendence#as for the ‘two people find the floppy disk’ approach#amanda/sxdo accidentally drops it somewhere without realizing it#pair of friends/siblings finds the floppy disk. later finds luke’s conputer at some garage sale type thing like how luke found the floppy-#-disk at a garage sale#or it got sold off to someone who then sold the computer off to the 2 idiots#they find deleted contents for the floppy disk and go :0 and proceed to fix it up#boom inscryption’s fixed#id write the fic however i already got 3 in progress multi-chapter fics so. yeah#scov.txt#rhehhrgrgrgrgrg yeah idk#inscryption#inscryption spoilers#the hex#the hex spoilers#does this make sense? idk

I finally finished Inscryption so i decided to tap on my dca Inscryption AU again :))) These are the sun and moon designs for the AU. They are both Scrybes but are not as powerful as the main 4 since they both need to work together to create cards
Solaris and Lunar, the Celestial Scrybes, create their cards by watching the stars and other outer space objects with their telescopes
They also have a deck ( Celestial Deck) and a currency (Stardust) of their own but i wasn't able to draw it yet
have some sketches of them as cards from the beast deck tho :) <- had to change their names cuz theres already a "The Moon" card in-game

Pleaseeee tell me more about that homescryption au
A little something between you and me and everyone else who happens to look at this post. Im working on a lineup for the four scrybes :D
Tumblr media
Roxys design is subject to change and you guys have already seen D1rk. Jane and Jake are in progress!!! (Also D1rk and Harley are the names for dirk and jake but weve been struggling to come up with appropriately fantasical/magical names for Jane and Roxy that align with magnificus and grimora😞 Harley feels old-manish enough that it fits in well… im sure well get there but if anybody has ideas feel free to comment ✌️)
But yes i can tell you more!!! ILL PUT IT ALL UNDER THE CUT THIS POST IS GOING TO BE LONG o7
Working with cyrus repliiku to flesh it out x3 he was the one who got me into the game and im CRAZY NOW!!!!
The four alpha scrybes methods of inscribing cards are that Harley uses his magic blunderbuss and the things he shoots become cards, Roxys cards are the fantasical characters she creates in her stories, Jane will be a detective of death, uncovering how cards die and writing up a casefile in her detective agency about them (might give her a magic magnifying glass. Well see), and D1rk were trying to figure out something with Sburbs captcha card + ghost captcha system like how Po3’s cards are printed from real robots
The students/the scrybes underlings are going to be other homestuck characters or splinters!
D1rks will be the robots (aradiabot, arquius (wanted him to me more unique than just brobot + hal so he gets to be a robot) and jadebot.
Harleys will be jake-ish splinters rather than new characters. Thered be the Adventurer (prospector), the Hunter (trapper/trader), the Sailor (angler), the Ectobiologist (mycologists), and the Actor (woodcarver) and his campaigns would be more Action packed like jakes action movies type stuff hehe
Janes will be the dead trolls, nepeta, equius and feferi. Not much to say besides them being dead lol 😭
And roxys were still figuring out but nerm. Viceroy/Casey, Rose (maybe goobert but they are actually nice and kind to her) and Eridan….(lonely wizard he was banished to the shadow realm for being annoying 😁👍)
Luke Carter is going to be Calliope and Satan in the greater scheme of the daniel mullins-verse will be Caliborn/Lord English because i think itd be very funny for him to just. Be making video games and thats his evil plot. LOL and Sado would be Gamzee. (Will not expand to pony island or the hex this is just clearing up the ending of inscryption)
Kaycee would probably be Aranea but like just some normal girl. Not all that sure abt the OLD_DATA tho ??? Maybe just all the wrong doings Lord English has committed and influenced culminated into the files or the code that brought him into the universe I DUNNO.
Retconning the drawing i did when i first scribbled this AU, i believe when harley turns the other scrybes into preexisting cards d1rk would become a seagull (kingfisher replacement) roxy would become a jaguar (wolf replacement) and jane would become a jackalope (pronghorn replacement) 😁
And the way harley would be defeated would be using his blunderbuss on him with a special bullet instead of film. Po3’s decapitation fulfilled the Dirk prophecy too LOL
I think that of the gameplay/card gimmicks themselves would work basically the same but i might try and come up with more creative homestucky twists on them
Im planning on finishing the designs and making sprites and more mockup screenshots :3
I might write up or draw a comprehensive ref sheet for this au someday but for now heres what weve jotted down 👍

Yoooo
Shout out to that one time I created an entire Post-game Inscryption AU where all the scrybes end up in a void and have to live in a house together and learn how to be friends and grow as characters, and I wrote an introductory fanfic and then stopped about 3/4s of the way in
Shout oooooouuut-
If I can remember how I wanted to end that fanfic, I should finish it and post it

I am once again thinking about how the Scrybes interacted with each other through all the various game mechanics. Like, the whole general plot of the game is that they are constantly fighting over what tone the overall game will portray and yet they simultaneously don't seem too interested in fully cutting each other out of the stories in order to push their own stories to the forefront.
We only really got a peek into PO3 and Leshy's storylines so I can't speak on Grimora or Magnificus but in both of their campaigns, they introduced aspects of the other scrybes' gameplay. Leshy brought each of them specifically into the game as beasts so that they could be a part of it, even going as far to bring Grimora's usage of bone tokens. Meanwhile, PO3 goes as far to implement aspects of each scrybe's mechanics into the gameplay with the beast power ups for Leshy, the Frankenstein/death power-ups for Grimora, and the use of gems for Magnificus.
I find this particularly fascinating considering how it contradicts the entire storyline and it adds a strange and honestly kind of sad layer to the Scrybe's relationships to each other. It was clear they at least acknowledged and possibly even admired certain aspects of each other's campaigns and there was genuinely potential for it to go better.
Maybe if they were less stubborn and weren't as focused on bending the story to their own genre and their own genre's alone and creating a story exactly as they envisioned it, then maybe things could have gone better? Maybe they could have worked together and made a cohesive story and used each other's creativity to add little spikes of their own flair to it? Maybe they could have found a way to create something that they were all satisfied with and could have successfully finished their story with each other rather then the ending that we were given?
In the end, though, it's what makes the game all the more tragic. They could have worked together but they were stubborn and because of that, none of them could achieve exactly what they wanted.

"I found a weird floppy disk, heard there's a funky game in it!"
"Oh god oh fuck what is that"
Long text explaining the AU >>>
Oliver Swift is indeed the poor fool who bought himself a random floppy disk from a quote-unquote haunted garage sale, was told there were some dark secrets in the disk along with an old game that has never seen the light and Oliver bought it because he only heard game.
Booting it up, he is met with the title ENCRYPTION which isn't actually the true game's name besides the title reflecting the buried data called The_Enc0unter which, of course, plays a huge role within the digita and coded world.
He's met with only >continue on the screen which brings him to ACT 1; Norm G. Allen. A shadowy figured man wearing a cowboy hat and a Nasa suit. He has been stuck in his own game like an isolated hermit for who knows how long, waiting for someone to pick up the game again so he can finally be done with everything.
He doesn't care for the game except for wanting all of it to end, following his own set of rules he had placed beforehand such as punishments and the rule book yet he sounds very... very tired.
He isn't an actual character from the original game besides a manifestation of some of the contents in the buried data, explaining the Nasa suit and American flag on his hat. He stands out the most and his main goal is to leave the awful place because it has caused him nothing but pain.
Upon finishing ACT 1 by finding the New game button before Norm could even do anything drastic such as deleting the entire game, it moves to ACT 2- the real game before the buried data had infected it: Crowned Glory.
In a world that uses cards to solve conflict and build harmony within the four main themes such as beasts, machinery, ghouls, and mages; there is an unknown place that the Challenger- Gingi- must get in. However, Jerry, a penguin beastman who guards the gate, says that Gingi is unable to pass as they are not worthy of meeting the Crowned One.
Gingi has to beat everyone through card battles but can cut down the task by doing side quests, building friendship and whatnot. It has lots of dialogue options and Oliver having Gingi being an extension of himself despite Gingi having already gained sentience; the two were, indeed, sharing the same braincell.
It is unknown if Gingi's current design was meant for the Challenger as they are more or so an amalgamation of existing assets to create a vessel for Oliver to monitor. Dialogue wise, Gingi is saying what's on their mind. Card battle wise? All Oliver’s work.
The world does not have any scrybes, mere funky characters in their respective themes and areas.
Printer-Bot, who named herself Karen, works at the factory. She prints things of course but unlike the regular printer, she generates her own images through what she sees and processes all of that. She's an artist, of course, and works through the factory in means of concept art and printing out papers to share. She sees something? She prints it.
Randy Jade, a ghoul in the local graveyard. He claims he died from a curse yet the lodged hammer within his skull says otherwise. He lingers near his grave , in complete denial of both his past lives and afterlife. Sad little ghoul. Sad sad sad. But friendly...? He can be a sweetheart.
Bigfoot exists there deep within the woods if you find the right spot, lingering in a cave and waiting for company. He would give out banana peels or make funny 'oogh' sounds in response but if he receivers a banana then Bigfoot will give little bits of The_Enc0unter to the player. It's his way of trying to warn the player that there is a lingering evil within. Bigfoot is a manifestation from contents within the buried data.
We move to ACT 3, in which it returns to the theme of ENCRYPTION but the one running the show is none other than Mayor Mingus Crown. A cat lady who had taken control after realizing that Norm had failed in his attempt to escape, laughing at the fact he also failed to go nuclear. She was originally a mere cat for the Crowned One yet due to the buried data, she ended up becoming a cat lady beastman who was mutated by the contents of the data, giving her the 'Mayor' vibe. Politics cat lady, yes, a smidgen of corruption.
She starts off by explaining her drive and goal, her main drive being the Crowned one: Callum Crown. Callum Crown was the heart of the game, the main ending for the Challenger, the end goal to complete the game. However, he was left unfinished and the data had distorted him along with the world, causing this game to go through a cycle of self destruction and desperate healing, causing pain to the characters who are now sentient and aware of a lingering evil.
Most live in blissful ignorance yet a handful knew pain.
Mingus has a deep connection to Callum Crown, he's like a paw-paw to her. She cares for him and thus attempts to build the world into the perfect vision of the game, enforcing the data to stay buried and not tether the world again. By any means necessary. Her entire game focuses on the Player patching things up such as errors and reintroduction ACT 2 characters through cards. Mingus wants to rebuild the game as a last chance to bring Callum Crown back, only caring for her Paw-paw. If he wasn't the heart of the game then she'd say fuck all to the world and focus on him only.
She doesn't care about anything else, no, ignoring whenever the ACT 2 characters experience pain through being in a card or ignoring the room for doubt incase there was no hope for Callum Crown at all.
Callum Crown is merely a husk of a character, a distorted image, mere static within the deep, he is there but at the same time not, perhaps he is in a loop of decomposing or just a standing corpse. All you can hear is a soft, radio-like, static voice that says;
"Is the war over yet? I can't get a signal..."

To me the funniest aspect of the ships between the scrybes is the silent implication of them collabing on making a campaign. Imagine Magnificus and P03 working together to make one. Imagine Magnificus and Leshy working together on one.
someone in my youtube comments said magnificus and leshy would create a massive convoluted DnD campaign that never ends and they're so right for that, i think a game from the two of them would barely resemble inscryption anymore lmao
magnificus and p03 i think about a lot bc genuinely it would probably be a pretty good campaign; magnificus would probably have a lot of larger than life ideas for settings, bosses, cards, etc, but p03 would know how to make it more playable, digestible, and satisfying to a player. i have no doubt they'd butt heads at MANY points (it would def take them ages to settle on a good techno-magic setting) but if they by some miracle managed to cooperate well enough i think it would probably be one of the better campaigns out of all potential scrybe collabs, especially since p03 is like...kind of not bad at story? maybe it's a hot take but despite his lackluster narration i think he succeeds pretty well in constructing his lil post-apocalyptic robo hellscape in act 3
of course the real wild card in any of these collabs is the idea that they're in a relationship or have feelings for each other while they're collabing; either these guys are emerging from this collaboration bonded in epic love for life or they're breaking up mid-development lmao

In Defense of Magnificus
A very very long rant by me. Originally from a rant I posted in a discord server in 2022, modified to be a little more concise. I have to apologize if some of this stuff is incredibly outdated, I haven't really bothered to catch up with newer stuff about the game outside of the game itself yknow... Like twitch streams from the dev and such.
I saw a theory that Magnificus was originally intended to be the villain of the original, in lore Inscryption, but through the rush of making the game as a coverup and developers like Kaycee not making much progress on the development because of said rush, he didn't get finished. And I think if you really analyze his character, everything about him FEELS unfinished.
His character design is super simple compared to the other scrybes. His deck is weak; there are not a lot of hard hitting cards aside from the Stim Mage, and the Magiks system itself feels wonky, as if they didn't have enough time to balance it out. His tower feels empty (Specially that damned bathroom. It haunts me.) His letter stops before its completed, he suddenly disappears mid-sentence... He's the only scrybe to not get a proper 3D version, as the game was mostly deleted by the time we got to him in Act 4, and he might've been the only scrybe that never became hegemon. We don't get to finish his battle, and he doesn't even get a handshake.
And going back to originally being a villain? Maybe that's why he was made to be so cruel to his pupils. P03 is also mean to his subordinates, but they're robots, they're not mean to gain as much sympathy from the player. Meanwhile, Magnificus is established to be mean and perhaps downright evil by the dialogue we get through Act 2. Rebecha speaks about him by saying he's mysterious, stating "Some say he wants... No, it's too terrible to say." But we never know what that refers to, and if it's coded dialogue or her own speech.
Outside of the CODED IN lore behind his pupils suffering, we don't see him being evil AT ALL. In Act 1 he is practically our savior; his throughout preparing was able to get us the film roll, and if we take too long he sends the player VISIONS to guide us in the right way. In Act 2 he attempts to warn the player about P03, his paint leads around to secrets to clue in about the OLD_DATA as well as perhaps serving as warnings for it. At the end of the game he is the only one who is distraught about everything being deleted; Grimora and Leshy accept their deaths, but Magnificus REFUSES to.
But wouldn't a villain rejoice about people dying? About, in his own words, an entire world being destroyed? It's like the original plan for his villainy was there, but he doesn't WANT to be one.
Now as to why he seems to continue to treat his pupils badly. I think it's just.. guilt. I believe he didn't have a choice in making them suffer, they were all just coded into what we know of Act 2. They were all created with the pupils being in torturous states and the game code telling them "It's Magnificus' fault". I think he himself believes this. I believe he could have tried to fix it before. But the thing is that, even if he ever did fix it, if he stopped their pain, it would all be for nothing... because the game resets. The only times it doesn't do this is when a scrybe takes over, which is something he has supposedly never been able to do. And if he were to help them outside of being hegemon they'd just go back to their original state once the new game card was used. I think he simply gave up upon realizing this and instead chose to bury his own grief that comes from it by playing into the character he was originally meant to be; the villain. That, and I think he just doesn't want to look at them... It hurts him to. I believe this is why he painted bleach over Goobert's painting.
I think him being originally an unfinished villain plays into him always being prepared. As I stated before, people often forget how helpful he is- it's due to his preparations that we are able to leave Act 1, he warns about The Great Transcendence in Act 2, warns Luke about the OLD_DATA, and warns him about the fate he'd encounter if he looked upon it. I think Magnificus wants to make up for his "villainy" by being the one the other scrybes and npcs can rely on in a time of need, so he spends every hour of everyday getting ready for the worst, and foreseeing what is gonna happen next.
Thing is that, he never stops anything from happening. He prepares a way out of Leshy's hegemony, but he can't stop it from happening in the first place. It's very probable that he was the one that planned how to stop P03 in Act 3, as we see he has been preparing since at least Act 2. But not only does the P03 hegemony happen, but he is ultimately unable to stop the Great Transcendence once it is in progress. Same thing for the game's deletion, which I believe it is at that point he truly panicked, because he couldn't foresee it or plan for it beforehand. It all feels like... An unfinished character arc. He never got to do anything he wanted.
I think he feels powerless.
Magnificus is often regarded as the worst scrybe. But in a sense, there's no real reason why that should be the case, at least not compared to the others. Like... Leshy took over the game and put the other scrybes into cards. He had good intentions, sure, but that doesn't mean his actions were good. Magnificus lost his eye, Grimora lost her memory, P03.... Was having a bad time...
Hell, the reason people hate Magnificus so much so often is because of the treatment of his pupils... But Leshy isn't all innocent there either. He puts Goobert in a bottle (At least, maybe he does. It's not clear whether it was him or Mags), which we know Goobert REALLY doesn't like, and he also put Goobert's description in the rulebook as "Failure". He also threw the bottle into the river as stated by himself in Kaycee's Mod.
P03... I don't gotta explain this one we know it is an asshole.
...And Grimora deleted the game, which basically killed everyone in it. While she had good intentions, it really only led to the discovery of the OLD_DATA and the subsequent assassination of Luke.
Now, what did Magnificus do? Nothing. Like... Really. He didn't GET to do anything. People dislike him because of his treatment of his pupils, but as I talked about before, I really don't think he can do anything about that, even if he wanted to.
So why do people so easily hate him? Circles back to the theory: Because he's unfinished. Everything about him is unfinished. The other scrybes are loved because we got to finish their arcs... We get to know why they each do what they did.
P03 not so much, but... P03 is a villain of sorts, people like villains and don't need them to be "good" to like them, which I agree with cuz villains are fun! P03 does have some sympathy points somewhere, though, which I'm not gonna go into here.
I'm gonna focus on Grimora and Leshy instead. Their farewells were perfect closure:
Grimora spoke about why she chose to delete the game, and we as the player come to understand her. It was right after her doing it in the first place, so we didn't even get to really build anger towards her. She talks about it being a necessary action- perhaps something we can agree with after knowing everything about the OLD_DATA. She laments not being able to play more with us, but she accepts her death and says goodbye.
Leshy talks about just.. wanting to play. That's all he wants, he just wanted to give us a good story. The original Inscryption is rushed and weird- Act 1, his hegemony, was his attempt to make it better and enjoyable (Which, considering it is the Act people love most, he succeeded.)
The player probably misses him by this point- playing cards with him feels somber, sad, and nostalgic. At this point we consider him a friend. And then he gets deleted after complementing our past deck, speaking about how much he enjoyed his time with us, and saying farewell. It's not something that leaves us with any possible anger towards him.
Magnificus though... He doesn't get that. We never get to talk to him properly, he never speaks about how he feels or why he does things. In Act 1 he spends most of the time in the clock, in Act 2 he gets cut off when trying to speak to us, Act 3 he only speaks a few sentences, and in Act 4..
His farewell is different than the other two. Leshy and Grimora accept their deaths... Magnificus doesn't. He doesn't talk about his feelings or justify his actions, because if you have been holding in your feelings, that is something you do when you can no longer do so. You let them go when you know you're going to die soon.
But he doesn't want to. He doesn't want to die, he can't accept it.
The game he played with us wasn't complete- the scales were gone, so we weren't even supposed to play against him. It was his opportunity to just say what he needed to say before he was gone, but he refused to accept his upcoming death. So instead he tried prolonging the process by using unrealistically high numbers instead of scales (The bigger the number, the longer the game will take, right..?). Even as he felt himself getting deleted he refused to end the game, or even talk to the player properly. For once, he couldn't prepare for the worst, and he was in denial- he was completely powerless and he didn't want to accept it. Instead, he speaks to us about the game deleting. He blames the player for it. He tries to guilt us; "You even allowed my goo mage to get deleted... I thought you two were becoming friends!"
And he doesn't get a handshake. He tried to push his deletion away for so long that he ended up not even being able to finish the match or get the same, proper farewell that Grimora and Leshy got.
I think by now I've said what I needed to say, but I wanna add that... Yeah, I think he's one of the most tragic characters in the game. I think he spends a lot of time being anxious- we don't get a clear answer on if he can see the future or if he is just able to predict it, but either way he lives with a lot of anxiety because of it.
I think the worst part is the deletion of the game and his farewell. He isn't able to let go because he's scared to, and because he has spent his whole life trying to prevent bad things from happening; trying to help his friends to get out of bad situations they caused themselves. But this time he's not able to, he can't do ANYTHING about it, and he's terrified because that means his whole existence and work is just... Gone. He spent all his days preparing for the worst scenarios, only for it all to be thrown away. He WASTED his life for nothing. And it hurts me that the fandom never saw that.
Or maybe I'm overthinking all of it. Maybe this has all already been directly disproven. But I still wanted to share this.

Pokemon Move Pools For Scrybes
Should have been drawing but DID THIS INSTEAD hiuwsfjdcasf Take this analysis that nobody asked FOR! O-O
MAGNIFICUS: Hex Obvious reasons. Does more damage if opponent already has a status condition. Gravity Negates Fly/Bounce/Levitate for 5 turns like how he paints over someone's sigils. Cosmic Power Raises user's Defense and Special Defense. Like Mox upgrades. Magic Coat or Mirror Coat Both redirect opponents attacks but you choose if it's a high priority move that only effects status moves, or low priority but doubles the strength of a special attack move.
GRIMORA: Perish Song or Destiny Bond Take'n y'all down with me Pain Split Hurting yourself (brittle) to damage to opponent. Will-O-Wisp Summon dead spirits Rest Like 'the big sleep.' But recovers HP slowly.
LESHY: Population Bomb or Fury Swipes Definitely a Multi Strike and Creature inspired. Shed Tail Creates a substitute like the Loose Tail sigil Moonlight Heals your creatures. Now thats value! Rage Fist The more times the user has been hit by attacks, the greater the move's power. The bigger the sacrifice the bigger the gain.
P03: Taunt 😏 Also obvious. No more status moves for you! Metal Burst Troll your enemy by attacking with 1.5 times their own attack power. Spikes Sets up damage to hurt future enemies. Playing the long game. Overdrive or Burning Jealousy Hits all adjacent opponents but not your own guys. If Burning Jealousy, than it also burns anyone who tried boosting their stats this turn.

Thinking about how the four scrybes are implied to have slowly turned into animals after Leshy captured them. What's that mean for the rest of the animal cards, then? How many of the cards we play used to be other challengers, other people? Is it possible that with enough time the deathcards we create would also begin to shift into animalistic forms? I know it's game logic, but there's not much wildlife around Leshy's island, or any of the others infact, not that there's much space for them anyways. Did Leshy specifically will them into turning into the animals they've become, or is there some sort of defining trait that determines which animal you become? Is it their fuckin fursonas. That's cr 📸
Tumblr media
Is it like, spirit animals? It seems the camera literally sucks your soul out and leaves your corpse behind (you can see the corpses of P03 and Magnificus peeking out from behind the stack of boxes), so is it like the soul assuming a more animalistic, primal form? Stoats are pretty cunning, so I guess it's fitting for someone like P03, someone that's all about mind games, to be turned into one. Can't really make sense of why Magnificus becomes a wolf honestly, I'm not exactly educated in this regard, but according to a quick search wolves as spirit animals can represent intuition and wisdom, which does fit Magnificus I suppose. Stinkbug? That's simple buddy! Grimora stinks quite bad! (In all seriousness I can't make sense of that one) I also wonder why they begin to turn back over time. It seems like it was specifically brought on by mingling with the other Scrybes. My assumption is they've spent so long isolated from eachother they began to settle into their more animalistic forms, forgetting, slowly eroding to their most basic traits, but as they begin plotting their escape and interacting with eachother the memories begin to turn them back into their more complex representations. I'm wondering if cards like Ouroboros, Urayuli, Amalgam and the like were part of the natural ecosystem of Inscryption's world, or past challengers/NPCs that spent so long as cards they turned into these strange and peculiar creatures. What animal do you think you'd become I think I'd be a cool and peculiar termite

if you guys had a 5th scrybe...what would it be of?
Now this is an interesting question. I believe the best fit for a 5th scrybe would be a scrybe of Art. Beyond what we make our cards out of, we scrybes represent something much more and are all inverses on two types of scales, in a way. Leshy and his beasts represent something of Life, me of Death. Magnificus is the scrybe of Magic and PO-3 of technology, two powerhouses of energy created by man. A 5th scrybe to me would make the most sense as being one who represents another creation of man, but for a different purpose than technology and magic.

first draft for the design of Scrybe sun for my DCA Inscryption thingie;
He's the Scrybe of the Light! I haven't really written down how they create their cards, but It has something to do with stars :]
Moon is in this too, but I haven't designed him properly yet; He's the Scrybe of Darkness! Both of them work together to create cards. Their deck's name is "Celestial Deck" and its space themed
Oh, there's also a eclipse on the side of the page, but yeah

100 layers and 50 hours (with breaks) but it was worth it!!
So recently I've gotten really into the songs for the "God game" series from Epic the musical that was created by @jayherrans on YouTube!
Now the gods game intro is about Athena going to the gods to let Odysseus go with Zeus proposing a challenge to her. And I got the idea of what if Juno was trying to convince to let a challenger or like free? And that sparked this drawing!!
Each scrybe character represents a different character from the song and for those that are curious here is the line up left to right
P03- Apollo
Magnificus- Hephaestus
Leshy- Zeus
Grimora- Aphrodite
Bone lord- Ares
Wood Carver- Hera
Juno- Athena
Luke- Odysseus (For those wondering Leshy's skin tone isn't green cause I made 2 Versions; this one where i used colors based off the 3d model and one based off how we see him in game)
For anyone that wants to here the song here is the link to video I was listening too on loop for hours! This was so much fun to work on!
