I've kinda seen some pushback to the idea of representation in media and I don't necessarily think it's bad to point out actual rights are more important than Disney's thousandth first gay character that's fine, but I've had a LOT of people comment on my works about asexual characters and tell me what I wrote changed their life-and it's always that phrase- because they now have the language to describe what they feel. I've had people who ARENT ace or aro comment that what I wrote finally made a concept they didn't understand make sense, or that the way I explained things was interesting and enlightening and I'm kind of a mediocre writer who hasn't written anything in ages.

Like idk, if reading something from a writer who is fucking around and only somewhat talented can genuinely impact someone because they've not seen anything like them reflected back at them in life or media I don't think pushing for representation in media is as "needless" as some people seem to think and caring about that doesn't mean you don't care about more "important" (although if you think seeing people like you in media ISNT important it's because you already have that representation or are privileged enough to not care if you do, in which case maybe pipe down) stuff. Hell, I even got a Facebook message ages ago from someone who found a comment I left in an ace group about QPR's and what they meant to me and how I perceived them and the person no joke said what I wrote two years before they even found it changed their life forever because they finally knew what kind of relationship they actually wanted.

So like sure, of course there's always bigger fish to fry them diversity in media (you know, like diversity in real life lol) but I don't think it's as frivolous as some people are beginning to act like it is. At least not if you're an aspec person it's not, I STILL don't see ace characters almost ever and I'll bet my whole everything if I asked a writer of a show why they'd tell me that EVERYONE has to be in a sexual relationship and characters that aren't won't sell and are boring- I say this because in film school I had a teacher TELL ME every character needed to basically be sex obsessed and when I pointed out a GREAT MANY CHARACTERS are not revolved around sex (Supernatural stars two brothers, I pointed out) and when she asked if I had love interests I was like ??? That doesn't matter- using my aforementioned supernatural example almost all their love interests die or get mind wiped because at the end of the day that's not what the story was about. So actually I think writers who act like that teacher need like 50 reality checks, and representation in stories isn't unimportant and also support indie writers you'll probably find more funky shit there then Disney anyway lmao.

And also even the asexual characters I DO see in media don't remind me at all of myself even if I appreciate the effort, but they never feel real or genuine and their sexuality doesn't get a lot of exploration so 🤷🏻‍♀️ I actually could use more media focused on characters that I can genuinely see my sexuality reflected in in a meaningful and narratively impactful way because I've got nothing.

Spicy Astro Observations 18+

This is really just a filler post for my december schedule because the content I've promised has taken so long to write on and off between my finals. I'd like to thank college for these notes, enjoy ig 💘

🌶 Libra Mars are actually quite dominant in bed, it’s so unexpected but I think they’re so good with dirty talk they just naturally know how to control a situation. Max season was off to a great start already winning Bahrain and now Saudi Arabia he had Y/n it was perfect so perfect until his last media duty for the Saudi GP

Max was already fed up with the Christian Rumor questions before the race weekend started he just wanted to focus on the race and making his team proud. Y/n was with him heading to his last media duty occasionally stopping to say hi if she saw another drivers girlfriend.

As they approached Will for the sky sports interview y/n took her spot behind the camera kissing max before he starts . Everything was going pretty well Will asking the basic questions like “how does it feel to win the first two races of this season?” and “what did you think of Norris overtaking in the beginning “? Max as usual did his “maxsplaining” y/n laughing quietly while listening.

She tunes out the rest going on her phone liking tweets about today until her attention is brought back when she hears Will ask Max “How are you handling this weekend with all the Christian allegations?” That’s when she sees max’s face and body language change his face goes stone cold and body rigid and y/n knows these are two signs that Max is going to freak out.

Before she could stop the interview Max is already going off on Will saying “ THIS IS ABOUT RACING CAN WE PLEASE JUST FOCUS ON THAT WHY DO YALL NEED TO KNOW EVERY LITTLE THING.” He shouts at Will before storming off and grabbing y/n hand tightly walking with his head down to the motor home.

Once inside Max slides down the wall and y/n can see the tears building up in his eyes but not letting them fall so she sits next to him and pulls him into a tight hug bringing his head against her shoulder and that’s when it happens Max Verstappen the man dominating everyone breaks down in her arms while all she can do is rub his back and whisper in his ear “I got you it’s ok “ “just breathe”

After a few minutes of coaxing him max lifts his head and looks at her face red eyes puffy holding her hand as if he’s afraid she’ll disappear and says “ I can’t lose him y/n I can’t i don’t think i can trust anybody more than him.” She looks at him softly before replying “ Baby you’re not gonna lose him everything will blow over and be back to normal soon and until he gets back just know I’m always in your corner and we will get through this together. “ She grabs his face kissing his forehead nose and mouth then whispers “ You will never be alone I promise baby.”

John turned the ignition off and his truck came to a stop. He looked at the house the two of you shared and smiled as he took in the warm glow coming from the window. Before you came into his life the house was cold and dark; he preferred coming home to this rather than the dark windows he used to. John opened the door and stepped out, wincing as he irritated the bruised muscles. This last deployment was harder than most; although everyone made it back alive, and for that he was thankful, going hand-to-hand with a mercenary ended with the mercenary dead but John fell from a metal walkway grate to the ground below. It resulted in a number of bruises, scratches, and a sprained shoulder.

John lifted his duffle bag out of the back seat and thought about how you would fret over the bruises that blemished his skin. You always checked him when he came home to see if he gained any new scars or broken body parts and he found it endearing. He walked slowly toward the door, his sore body preventing him from going faster. He dug in his pocket for his key and slipped it into the lock before stepping inside. “Love I’m home,” He called out, setting his duffle bag down by the door with a sigh of relief to have the weight off of his injured shoulder; he had a brace that kept him from moving his shoulder but it did nothing for the annoying pain of putting weight on it.

“Back here!” He heard your voice coming from the shared bedroom so he toed off his boots and walked down the hallway. He saw soft light coming from the bathroom and when he walked in he saw something that made his breath catch in his throat. You were in the bathtub with your hair loosely pulled back and sipping on a glass of wine, candles casting a warm illuminating glow. It wasn't anything overly sexual but it still made his face flush; here he was nearing forty and you made him feel like a school boy. “Hey love,” he said, taking in the sight of you before bending down and giving you a kiss. “I’m so glad you’re home,” You said, a heavy weight finally lifting off your chest at seeing your fiancée back in one piece. The black brace over his beige shirt was not lost on you but you didn’t say anything as you decided it was not as bad as it could be. “How’s the bath?” John asked. “You could always join me and find out,” You said, taking a sip of the red wine, looking at him over the rim of the glass. “Now how could I say no to that?” He smirked.

professor!yeonjun who’s so hot but so dorky. teaches something rly mundane like…i dunno…chemistry or something lmao. he’s extended his office hours for you bc you’re particularly interested in the topic. and he just gets so excited talking about it. smiling at you while he pushes his glasses up >< and then yall suddenly find yourself in this tense eye contact. he clears his throat and “well, i think, uh…it’s getting late, we should probably go.” and you leave flustered, not even able to remember why you went to his office hours in the first place.

professor!yeonjun who noticed that you didn’t attend class the next day. you were too nervous. so he sends you a message (like he does with all his students!) asking if you’re okay. reminding you of his office hours the next day in case you needed to pick up some notes.

professor!yeonjun who’s eyes brighten when you knock on the door, standing to greet you, almost stumbling over something bc he’s so flustered. “hi!” “hi professor choi…sorry i missed class—“ and he just makes sure everything’s ok and you’re getting overwhelmed with the coursework. “nono- i’m okay. i, uh, it was just a headache.” “i’m glad you’re feeling better.” and it’s that intense eye contact again. “…you’re probably here for notes, hm?” “oh! yeah yeah. that’d be great.”

professor!yeonjun whose ears turn red. every. time. you make eye contact with him. and you definitely pick up on it. but having a crush on a professor is silly, no? he’s never been creepy or pushy in any way. you can just tell he has a lil teeny crush on you too. so you start getting a little brave. leaving smiley faces next to your name at the top of your scantrons. it takes him a while, but he eventually reciprocates. drawing a smiley face next to your score with his red pen.

professor!yeonjun who’s bummed during finals. will he ever see you again? he’s gonna miss you popping into his office to ask questions so you can watch him rant about his favorite topic. he’s gonna miss your lil giggles at his dumb jokes in class. no one else laughs at them. but when you go to turn in your final scantron, he’s so happy to see a post it stuck to it, looking up at you with bright eyes. but oh no, there’s another student. he better hide it real quick even though he hasn’t had the chance to read it yet. and you scurry off quickly, smirking to yourself.

professor!yeonjun who’s grading them back in his office, already forgotten about the post it. so when he sees it again, his heart races. since youre not my professor anymore :) 555-345-6789. and he’s so so flustered. but doesn’t rush into it. waits until grades are posted. you’ve almost lost hope. but then one day-

hi! this is yeonjun (professor choi lol). was wondering if you wanted to get coffee or something?

and he hits send, throws his phone, and runs away ehehehe.

Since you’re the medic have you ever thought about removing those subcutaneous trackers Donnie put in all of yall? At least from yourself? Also has he ever used them for more… annoying purposes?

IN? He didn't put ANYTHING- you mean ON. <- (I HOPE???? IF HE PUT A TRACKER UNDER OUR SKIN WE'RE HAVING ANOTHER TALK 😭😭😭????)

But anyway, nah, sure, it was weird at first <- (WHEN WE FOUND OUT ABT IT, we talked abt it when things calmed down and his defense was smth smth better than having to hack security cameras and stuff to find you guys blah blah) it's kind of seriously helpful at times, I mean, being able to keep track of and see everyone's location on his arm? That's kinda great when it comes down to it! Battles get confusing, and sometimes stuff happens, and someone ends up teleported all the way to New Amsterdam, it's GOOD knowing where everyone is!

BUT. It is annoying, too, cause he literally has access to that info ALL THE TIME. When I was supposed to be on bed rest, I barely made it out of my room before he opened the door and forced me back, and I was like, "HOW!?" and then I remembered, RIGHT, this FREAK <- (/aff) has trackers on us, of course he's gonna know I was moving around when I shouldn't be!!!

He uses it when I run off to random locations w/o telling them, he uses it when Mikey decides to go on his random spray-painting sprees in the middle of the night w/o telling ANYONE, he uses it when Raph gets lost in NYC abandoned railways and stuff to lead him back...

UGH. It's annoying, sure, but you have to admit it's SO ANNOYINGLY HELPFUL that it makes more sense to keep it...we aren't really sure where he placed it on us tho, we haven't been able to really find it after we did the first time, though now i'm a lil worried that he did inject us with the...tracker stuff...i'd say he wouldn't do that w/o our consent but he would and well HAS........
