Are you guys ever watching something and you get so distracted because the actor is so pretty?

This is such an intense and dramatic moment. The Doctor is about to be shot out of the sky by someone disguised as his companion while on the phone with the imposter. The music is blaring, the tension is rising, and my dumbass audibly exclaims "She’s so pretty!" when it cuts to this shot EVERY TIME I WATCH IT! It is pathetic!

It's like watching a car crash and getting distracted because the tree that the car is about to hit is really pretty.

I love this bit in fugitive of the Judoon because in most movies, TV programmes, etc. the writer always makes the majority of the characters male, whether they play a main part or not, and I love that whoever wrote this episode just seen the opportunity to add another female character to the episode and grabbed it.

So Death in Paradise fans, this is funny in a sad way.

My American friend at uni hadn’t heard of death in paradise before, so I introduced her to series 12 with Neville, which we watched all of and she was a big fan of. Now, we are watching (and for me, rewatching) it from the very first series, and we are currently on series 2 episode 5.

The sad irony is she is a fan of Richard and Camille (who I absolutely adore, despite knowing what is coming), and I am not going to tell her. However, we are nearing series 3, so I guess most of you know what is coming.

I think we’ll reach 3 sometime this week, potentially Wednesday evening, and I have a feeling she will be heartbroken. I know I’m going to cry when I watch it. I have only maybe watched the episode through twice at most, whereas most of the other episodes I’ve watched many times.

I thought I’d tell people now so when I update with how my friend reacts later this week it’ll make more sense.

Good news that series 3 is filming and that Neville, Naomi and Marlon are definitely back for it atm.

so I pretty much rewatched series twelve today and like BOYYYYY they really weren’t joking about implementing thasmin in from series twelve onwards. Now that we know it’s canon it means so much more, the subtle pining, the standing slightly too close to one another, the gentle touches that could be easily missed, these “secret looks of love” and adoration and genuine care for one another.

I know I say this every time that a fav doc x companion duo of mine are about to leave but these two REALLY deserve more time together. They could do so much more and be so much more but all of this, everything we’ve gotten and what’s to come is so special and means so much because it’s happened in this moment and under all these unexpected circumstances and that makes this whole journey with them just a little bit more beautiful

The timeless children rating!

10/10!

This episode just captivates me. I love the story, the emotion, the humour. I love how campy the master is, i love how "love to hate" he is while also having insane emotional depth. The set up is fantastic, having the master tell the doctor about the timeless child like its a story was a great idea. Sacha has such a lovely voice for it, and it's insane how he can switch from almost soothing to harsh and biting on a dime. I loved seeing all the doctors reactions to it, the grief, the anger, the denial— its all so good. The scene where she literally throws the master to the ground will always be one of my favourites. And I love seeing how hard she fights to keep a hold of herself and her personality, she is staunchly refusing to let the master break her and I live for it

As for the side plot, it was great seeing all the little character moments. Ko Sharmus seemed cool, its a shame he died. I really do love what he said to ryan, "you can be a pacifist tomorrow, today you have to survive". I loved how much we see Yaz's courage in this episode, the way she doesn't even hesitate to step through the boundary while everyone else did was brilliant. Ryan was honestly just really sweet and funny, which he always is tbf, but I just wanted to mention it– his cheers when he defeated some cybermen made me giggle. And Graham's moment with Yaz was so sweet, i like to think he doesn't just see Ryan as his Grandkid but Yaz too.

And finally, the end of the episode is SO fun, I can so vividly remember the post episode excitement after watching this episode the first time. Trying to take all of THAT in while also cursing all the time I had to wait to watch the special and find out what happened
