Random DC Comics Head Canons- Roy Harper #2
Between the epilogue of "Dark Crisis" and "Green Arrow 2023", Roy was employed at Sherwood Florist as a delivery man/store clerk, not unlike what Ollie had done back in the day. This was one of brief jobs he took to build a nest egg for when he finds Lian.
The cap he wore to the Park-West barbeque was the one he wore for his job and is one of three caps he kept after getting rid of his collection.
Roy now has more than a passing knowledge about the language of flowers and he uses it to flirt.
His favorite flower is sunflower.

Escape Room
Young Justice x reader
* there is fic in making so a headcannon would be a sneak pic and reader is Black Canary’s protege
Tumblr media
You were bored out of your mind since there is no training today at the cave
You didn’t have to do anymore florist work at Sherwood Florist Shop
You decided to invite the team to do an escape room at downtown, that your friend’s grandparents own
Roy being too busy doing Red Arrow stuff
You met up at the place for the escape room and most vote for horror (expect for Wally)
The game master happen to be your friend’s funny uncle
The goal of the escape is to escape and stop the demonic curse
You and the team enter the horror theme room and instantly find external clues
You managed to decide the Latin code to get one of the next clue
Robin decipher the number codes in the coffin
Megan manages to find cross that scares the demon fiends
Wally ends up getting the group trap when the group enter the next stage
Robin and Artemis tries to sacrifice him, much to Wally’s no whelmed reaction
“ Please don’t sacrifice your friend” after the game master saw this
You three weren’t feeling the aster but Superboy and M’gann did found this funny
Super boy found a mirror and reveals a message which leads to a diary
Artemis and you decided to read it and found a clue by understanding the riddle
But then the lights went out
“Umm robin stop poking me” Wally shivered
“But I’m in the front”
You all you behind Wally and saw a demonic nun actor
Wally, Conner, M’gann and Dick freak out but you were amused and Artemis is just shaking her head
Wally uses the cross decoration to ward of the actor while screaming for his life
You guys managed to get out the escape room within ten seconds
You guys decided to do this again but Robin wants to do one in Gotham with him as game master.

Cissie King-Jones fic ideas (because @tzigone requested them!):
Cissie gets invited to either the Kents' house or the Garricks' house by either Kon or Bart and gets to experience a family with lots of people interested in her life and talking to her and being nice to her, and she doesn't quite know what to do. Also, she gets a cozy homemade sweater.
While at her boarding school and not legally allowed to contact her mom, Cissie discovers that Oliver Queen is her biological dad. Cissie doesn't quite know what to do, so she stops by Sherwood Florist one day to try to meet him, but can't work up the nerve to explain who she is. But she notices a position open for a shop assistant, so she decides it wouldn't hurt to apply, right? Except she gets the job and ends working for her dad and would-be stepmom without them knowing who she is. It only gets more complicated when she accidentally discovers their secret identities.
AU where Cissie's therapist was murdered before Cissie ever joined Young Justice, and Cissie has run away from boarding school and her one goal now is to find Marcie's murderer. Nothing matters to her besides that. Except for when she runs into the Young Justice crew and ends up swept into their adventures, and she realizes she loves this bunch and is now torn between wanting to forge a new life for herself and her team and her burning desire for revenge.
AU where Cissie starts out a for-hire villain who's solely in it for the paycheck, but quickly discovers that she can't bear to hurt the earnest dorks that consist of the Young Justice team and ends up rescuing them more than fighting them.
AU where after Cissie is removed from her mother's custody, she ends up as an emergency placement with social worker Guy Gardner and ends up working at his bar and hanging out with the Green Lantern/Warrior's crew.
"Five superheroes who called CPS on Bonnie King and the one superhero who adopted Cissie afterward."
AU where Cissie is Ollie's daughter but neither of them know it, and she's raised by Merlyn (who does know it and started off raising Cissie solely to fuck Ollie over, but unintentionally began to care about Cissie along the way).
Cisse decides that now that she's officially on a superhero team, she has to be supportive of her fellow female teammate Cassie. So she begins complimenting Cassie all the time, checking up on her after battles, and praising her in every interview. Cissie might have been raised by her mom to see all other girls as competition, but Cissie refuses to do that! Except . . . now Cassie thinks Cissie was flirting with her? And Cissie thinks that maybe she actually was?

If you were put in charge of the Green Arrow comics,What story would you write for them? What character arc would you make?
Please and Thank You 😃
Thank you for the ask!!!
I'd love to write a story that actually went into their relationships a lot more. Not really a huge fan of the current Green Arrow run, I don't like that they're separated constantly and there's too many Events to actually explore them. Character's definitely more important than plot, so currently it's been very plot-heavy, so I'd like to write one with more filler to explore their relationships. I'd love to write a team-up between Roy, Connor, and Mia especially, let them interact more as heroes rather than just of costume, maybe with Onomatopoeia as the antagonist (i love Onomatopoeia, he's so me, I too repeat sounds), but without Connor being sidelined because of a shot to the head. I'd also like to explore Sienna more, there's not much content including her so I think it'd be cool to maybe have some issues with her and Dinah to develop her character (though I think having a run with Dinah and Sienna in the Birds of Prey would probably be better fit than in a Green Arrow run). Also some interactions between Mia and Emiko, I think they'd have a really interesting dynamic that I'd love to see explored. Also, I would include Eddie back into the Arrowfam on their side, I'm not suuuper up to date with the current continuity but isn't he a bad guy now? Yeah, no. He'd be back on their side as a recurring character in Connor's issues, and also have more interactions with the other Arrows. Jade'd be included as more than just "Roy's ex"/"Lian's mum", I don't think she'd be particularly Close to any of the Arrows but definitely some team-ups with her, mutual enemies bringing her into the run, and a deeper exploration of her character and who she is outside of just assassin. Ollie'd be broke as shit, naturally, either from the start or he'd give his money away early on (while him constantly gaining and losing his money is funny, I do prefer him voluntarily giving it away), and there'd be more exploration of him as a flawed yet loving family man. Also I'd stop separating the family. Also him and Dinah would run a Sherwood Florists in Star City.
I'd also include Lian as a hero working with the Arrows. While ideally everything Lian would still be an age she's meant to be (I think like, 8 or 9?), I think that having her as Cheshire Cat would be cool and also good for angst purposes, Roy struggling to adjust to the fact that his baby's older now and that he's unable to shelter and protect her anymore. A conflict between Lian (possibly with Jade's support?) vying for her independence and hating that her dad keeps seeing her as a defenceless five year old, and Roy trying to protect her and stop her from going out, maybe Lian ends up saving Roy's life and after a long conversation they come to a mutual understanding. I'd also love to have some issues where it's a full-team fight. A lot of the issues conflicts would be smaller so that they could be split into smaller groups for more personal interactions, but there would be some major events scattered around that require the full family. I think it'd be cool to see them bouncing off each other in combat, and how they manage to combine their abilities to fight effectively.
Also. Death of the "someone Ollie's close to gets injured/nearly killed for Ollie's character development" trope. Hate it.

12 for the whole Arrowfam
12. What's a headcanon you have for this character?
unsure if you mean for the arrowfam as a whole or each individual character but i dont think my brain is big enough to do individual rn
overarching as a fam headcanon; they all help run both sherwood florist and the youth centre.
(connor is good with the kids and terrible at up-selling people on flowers)
(mia talks to the customers exactly as she talks to the kids and gets taken off the counter because of complaints every 3 weeks)
(ollie is very good at account balancing (go hudson U. now thats a deepcut) and remains the main delivery boy. he thinks he deserves a promotion by now. he does not get one)
(roy and lian help out when they visit, lian for some reason has begun memorising the meaning of each flower. roy has no idea where she's learning this)
(dinah mainly sticks to her shop, but every holiday (mothers day, fathers day, christmas and everything in between) she arranges little bunches of flowers for the kids to take home. adding a little bit of brightness to someone's day always helps)

As a Black Canary fan, the way the I'm always deeply confused and a bit impressed at how they looked at the already stupidly complicated Black Canary lore from the comics and decided to make it MORE confusing. Like??? There are FOUR of them (arguably more cause it's that confusing). And none of them can be called comic accurate. Sarah gets close in the Black Canary persona but even then... They certainly get aspects right. A father being a cop. Dinah Drake wanting to be a cop (though she never becomes one and is almost never the one with the sonic scream). But never do we get the Sherwood Florist. It's just... So wild to me the way they approached it all. Very annoying that it's the biggest live action adaptation... And of course the Birds of Prey adaptation? Only somewhat better and includes one of my least favorite retcons of Dinah being a singer sooo... We're definitely not winning in the Black Canary department.

Coffee Shop AU  @arrowfam-events So this is so late but I think well worth it!  I have so many ideas about this au. (Also the heist one, which i promise I’ll get to eventually.)  Anyway have all my thoughts: - Ollie owns a coffee shop called “Blue Boar Cafe” named after “Blue Boar Inn” aka the inn in the story of Robin Hood.  - Dinah owns a flower shop right next door, which of course is named “Sherwood Florist” because Grell gave us pure gold with that one.  - Eddie owns the buildings and pops in from time to time. There are apartments above the shops.  - Shado, Dinah, and Ollie all own apartments above the shops. Shado is rarely there and Emiko(13) tends to hang out with Oliver and Roy a lot. - Roy(17) and Connor(2) live with Ollie. Mia(16) and Sin(1) live with Dinah. Connor lives with Ollie every other week, spending the rest of the time with his mother.  - Roy works at the Blue Boar, Mia at Sherwood. Emiko is technically too young to be employed but she can and will work at either when she wants to. - Jade and Dodger make frequent appearances to annoy Roy and Mia respectively. (I like to think the titans also come to annoy Roy at work, and Wally is no longer allowed to have coffee.)

Because nobody asked me: a short discussion of shipping Barbara Gordon.
Barbara/Jason Bard: the “girls date their fathers” relationship. I don’t mind it as “college age Babs has a crush on Officer Bard” or with them dating for a while when they were younger. I’m happy to go either way on whether he proposed. They definitely grew up and grew apart. They now swap case information and disability tips.
Barbara/Ted Kord: this is just sweet fluff. I’m happy to see it as a casual short term relationship. I’m convinced they’re more into each other’s computers than the other sexually, though.
Barbara/Dinah Lance: it’ll never happen in canon. This is peak “when Dinah was more a Gotham Bird than an Arrow” period, while Ollie was dead. Queerplatonic in some lights. (Barbara HAS effectively owned a Sherwood Florist with Dinah, after all, that’s basically de facto) Long term though, Dinah is too into Ollie and sex with Ollie for this to last, tragically. Still the best of best friends.
Barbara/Helena Bertinelli: it’ll NEVER happen in canon. If either or both of them were guys this would be one of the biggest enemies to lovers ships in Bat fanfic. In the meantime, they’re also now best friends.
Barbara/Dick Grayson: iconic for a reason. In 30 years in canon they’ll either have been married for the past 20 years or perpetually on again off again. They’re so painfully alike in some ways and complementary in others, and need to chill and make sure they’re communicating clearly.
Barbara/Bruce Wayne: lolno. …you’ve SEEN the way they fight, right??? (putting aside. everything else wrong with this) they’d last 5 minutes before Bruce ordered Babs to do something, Babs got her back up, and they both headed off to sulk loudly in separate cities.
Barbara/Jason Todd: LOLNO. where do I even start. the bat boys aren’t interchangeable like this.
Barbara/Pamela Isley: hello Paul Dini.
Barbara/Karen Starr: someone, somewhere has written them having hatesex. Karen’s still pissed.

Brief excerpt from a fic where Cissie found not too long ago that Ollie is her father, but he has no idea.
The glare of streetlights and gleam of other cars passing by barely registered with Cissie, and she focused mainly on trying to stem her tears enough to recognize traffic signals and oncoming headlights. Though she hadn’t decided on any particular direction, she soon recognized her surroundings: without realizing it, she was driving toward Sherwood Florist. This is stupid, Cissie told herself sternly, even as she parked at the Presbyterian church up the street and set off down the sidewalk. It’s almost ten o’clock at night. Like hell is a flower shop going to be open this late.  But as she hurried closer to Sherwood Florist, the heels of her pumps clicking on the pavement, the icy light of the moon boring down upon her, she realized she was both wrong and right. The shop was closed, the sign in the window declaring as much. But the shop remained brightly illuminated, light radiating onto the street in a warm oasis that blazed through the dark cold of night. And from where she stood on the opposite side of the street, Cissie could see inside perfectly. Before her very eyes, two figures waltzed, moving seamlessly around the floral displays, their arms locked around each other. One was her father, Oliver Queen, clad in khakis and a green sweater that Cissie was sure would have brought out his eyes (so much like her own). The other was the athletic woman with short dark hair that Cissie had spotted at Sherwood Florist before, who was now wearing a short red dress and heels to match. Whether she was going out or coming back in, Cissie couldn’t be sure, but no matter where she was going, it was obvious that she was enjoying herself in the moment. The woman’s head was thrown back in laughter, and then she leaned back in to steal a kiss from Oliver’s lips. The two of them looked overwhelmingly, deliriously happy.  How could Cissie intrude upon such a lovely scene and mar the magical night with her own misery? Fresh tears welled in Cissie’s eyes as she turned away, the wind stinging her face and momentarily obscuring her vision. Clutching her school blazer more tightly around her, she trudged back to her car, her wild hope from earlier snuffed out entirely. How could she had ever thought that Oliver Queen would ever want someone as flawed as her for a daughter? Someone so troubled, so destructive? She’d been a fool to imagine he’d ever want anything to do with her.
