(Poll below)
Jack logged out from his Therapy Game and he couldn't be happier.
Tiny Can did a very good job. Though, he'll have to have a word with Tiny Can and the goats about that BL content.
But maybe he's supposed to start a romance with Lou to forget about Kiyoshi?
Saiwa is so happy that Jack didn't feel the pain from his rash ingame :3
So it seems that the feelings from ingame do not effect their life here (like Vlad's ingame hunger) and the feelings and sensations from out of the game won't necessarily affect their characters ingame.
Poor Vlad is torn. He's happy that Jack's therapy went so much better than his own playtest, but he's afraid to send Ji Ho in the game.
What if he really is going to marry Caleb?
But he can't be selfish. Ji Ho deserves his therapy. And if it helps Ji Ho, he will survive it too.
Jack: "So Sai, my friend. When will you go to your therapy?"
Sai: "Uhm..."
Saiwa is hesistant. He's their leader and should have been the first to check the Therapy Game and if it's safe for the others, but he's not ready yet to face his problems.
And that's fine. The door to change can only be opened from the inside. (This quote is written on the wall at the front desk of my psychiatrist. Another one says 'Change needs time'.)
Jack: "I'm just kidding. I bet no one can stop Ji Ho from checking out now if he's really Caleb's bride! Right, Ji Ho?"
Ji Ho laughs a bit nervous: "A haha, yes. Can't wait."
Of course Ji Ho can't wait. Caleb is the dream of each of them (well, except Vlad's). But he also knows this will hurt Vlad.
Vlad has to leave to care for Jeb and Kiyoshi. They quickly charge the Bond and Vlad tries to let Ji Ho know through the Bond that he's ok with whatever happens in the Therapy Game. But he's not even fooling Diablo...
Ji Ho is torn. Is it really ok to hurt Vlad's feelings when it's necessary for his therapy and well being?
Ji Ho asked Jack and Sai what they would do.
Jack thought about it too. But he does not have a partner right now so he's up for it should Lou hit on him.
Saiwa agrees that Ji Ho should go for it. It's just a game after all and NPC Caleb is not the real Caleb. Nothing is real in the Therapy Game.
Jack: "So, it would be ok for you if Jeb had a boyfriend ingame?"
Saiwa hisses and Jack realized that he went to far.
Jack: "This isn't as easy a decision as it seems, huh."
It's time to go to bed. They are tired but Jack is still happily chatting about the game and they are glad it went so well for him. And even though they saw some scenes on the screen, they listen.
It wasn't possible to watch everything anyway. Jack had been away for a few hours and they took turns to watch over him. And it's interesting to hear how it had been for Jack and how he experienced his Therapy Game.
If Ji Ho's therapy goes well too, Saiwa will try it.
One day they will have to return back home to the others and he'd better be prepared to face Kiyoshi and Jeb again. He misses Jeb so much it hurts. But he has no idea how they are supposed to get over this fake realtionship he had with Kiyoshi. Even though they both agreed to it because they had no choice.
'May the ghosts that howled round the house at night
Never keep you from your sleep
May they all sleep tight down in hell tonight
Or wherever they may be
As I walked on with a heavy heart then a stone danced on the tide
And the song went on though the lights were gone
And the North wind gently sighed
And an evening breeze coming from the East
That kissed the riverside
So I pray now child that you sleep tonight when you hear this lullaby
May the wind that blows from haunted graves never bring you misery
May the angels bright watch you tonight
And keep you while you sleep'
Lullaby of London - The Pogues
(Such a beautiful song. Shane McGowan, the head of the Pogues, died November last year but he left us all his beautiful music. He was so gifted.)

Episode 32: Big Moments
The last few months of Paul's freshman year at Foxbury were a time of self-discovery and authenticity.
After he’d broken things off with Jamie, Paul felt free to start exploring his sexuality. He started thinking about how motivated he’d been at the beginning of the year to find someone to settle down with. Now he realized he needed to get to know himself better before he committed himself to one person.
As for Thornton, Paul got over that crush pretty quickly and he was glad to no longer be involved in the drama between Thornton, Morgana, and Jamie which seemed to never end. He remained casually friendly with them, but he mostly hung around with Danica, Wesley, and Nasir.
He also started getting to know Deshawn a little better, who it turned out was crushing on him in high school as well. But getting to know himself wasn't the only thing he wanted to do that year. He also wanted to come out to his family.
Paul was relieved to find out that everyone in his family was accepting of his bisexuality. Having the support of his friends and family made their bonds grow stronger. He was grateful to approach his sophomore year without the burden of being closeted holding him down.

*New Story!*
hello friends! I've recently started afresh with a new story and I'm really excited about it!
Lucky Boy is a spin off of my first TS4 story - Lucky Girl (You don't have to read that to read this... although you might like it hehe)
It's a coming of age/romance story about a boy called Jude who's family own a holiday home on the south coast of Ireland. It follows him through several periods of his life, starting in 2008 when he is 16 and ending around 2014 when he is 22.
If you're in the market for a new story in 2024 and this sounds like your thing then maybe come and read along! I've been posting here on tumblr (schedule TBC), and I'll be posting on Wordpress as well starting tomorrow.
I've only posted a few updates so far so maybe you could check it out and see what you think
START HERE
Thanks so much, guys! I look forward to meeting more of you and finding more amazing simlit in the new year!

Phoenix: Why don’t you talk to your parents anymore? What happened?
Dawn: Nothing happened… Fine, if I tell you, can we never talk about this again?
Phoenix: Sure.
Dawn: [pauses briefly to think about how to explain] I don’t like talking about them because I don’t like to remember what it felt like… It’s just that… they didn’t care about us at all. If they did, they never showed it. The ONLY thing they cared about was appearances.
We were always expected to look and act a certain way, and I swear I could never get it right. I was too loud and too messy. And when I disappointed them, which was all the time, they would just… ignore me. They wouldn’t look at me or speak to me. It was like I’d cease to exist. It was devastating.
Dawn: When I was little, I didn’t understand, so I would throw massive tantrums trying to get them to acknowledge me. I’d scream and cry and tug on them. Eventually, they’d look at me, but they’d just laugh. Like it was the most hilarious thing they’d ever seen.
Atlas never tried that, he shut down early on and would just stay in his room. Eventually, I gave up and did the same.
I don’t think they ever really wanted us.
Phoenix: That’s awful. Why would they try so hard to have children if they didn’t want them?
Dawn: Because that’s what was expected of them.
Phoenix: Can I ask you one more thing?
Dawn: What?
Phoenix: The scars on your arm…. Why? Because of them or…?
Dawn: Um, yeah, I guess. It’s hard to explain… Sometimes I would wonder if I was a real person, like I really wasn’t sure. I was always trying to do everything perfectly, to get it right. There was a part of me for a long time that worried if I didn’t, I might actually disappear one day. Not like dying, but just like, ‘poof’ from existence. And I’d get really upset And I’d feel disconnected from myself, like I wasn’t really in my body but outside it, and it was scary. But this [rolling back her sleeve], it helped... I’d feel the sting and see red, and it would bring me back into my body and remind me that I was real. And I’d feel better for a little while.
Dawn: I don’t get it. They’re the only two people in the world who were supposed to love me… unconditionally… like instinctually… and they didn’t. I never understood why. I never understood what was so wrong with me.
Phoenix: Nothing. You are the best person I know, Dawn. Just because they clearly don’t have the capacity to love, doesn’t mean you were ever unlovable. I’m glad they’re not in your life anymore. They don’t deserve to be.
Phoenix: I love you so much. I promise, I will do everything I can to make sure you feel loved every single day.
Dawn: You already do.
Dawn: Promise me something else?
Phoenix: Anything.
Dawn: Don’t ever give me the silent treatment, okay? No matter how angry I make you.
Phoenix: Never. I promise.
Dawn: Thank you. I love you.
Phoenix: I love you too.

Henry: Director Bauer, your 9:45 is here
Lydia: SHIT! [Lydia drops her phone] Send them in Henry.
Lydia: Agent Day, Agent Ames how was Selvadorada?
Agent Maya Day: Very successful we received some good actionable intel.
Lydia: Maya, I read the report. I want to hear the unfiltered version
Maya: My gut tells me we’re missing something.
Lydia: What do you mean?
Maya: Things aren’t adding up. The increase of drug activity on the streets should be much higher at least doubled based on the amount of cocaine being exported.
Lydia: So where is the rest of it? Are they trying to avoid flooding the market?
Maya: No, It’s like there is a new market. One we don’t know about.
Maya: The good news is we think we found the entry point for Del Sol. We’ve got local PD and some agents keeping an eye on things.
Maya: We also snagged one of the cocaine filled counterfeit artifacts. I left it with Wilder to see if she can tell us anything.
Lydia: Alright keep me posted, you know where to find me if you need anything.
Maya: Got it. We’ll leave you and your 10 am whiskey be.

Drum roll please...
I'm very excited to announce that I've just launched my first Sims series on Substack called Life in Twinbrook.
Before I share the first chapter with you, I just want to say that I love this community so much, and a big part of why I enjoy being here is because I think we all share, to varying degrees, a love of storytelling. I've connected with so many of you over your stories and characters, so I'm really excited to share this with you!
By publishing this series and sharing my writing, I'm hoping to not only connect with fans of my work, but to also build community with other storytellers and writers here. Even if you're not writing with The Sims, I'd love for us to support each other–especially with Nanowrimo around the corner.
I'll be making a separate posts for the first chapter and series cover, but you can check out the pilot 'episode' here, which opens with my character, Ryan O'Neil:
Life in Twinbrook: Pilot
If you enjoy this first chapter, please consider reblogging my work, leaving a comment, and/or subscribing to my Substack (it's totally free) to get chapters, BTS content, and updates sent right to your inbox. Having your support is what inspires me to keep going on this journey toward becoming a full-time writer, and I'm hoping I can do the same for you through my upcoming content!
If you decide to subscribe to my Substack, I'll also be going BTS into the writing craft, sharing occasional fanfiction (we all seem to love pretty similar game series, like BG3 or Dragon Age) and taking you on the journey of developing my debut fantasy novel as I get ready to write another draft in November for Nanowrimo. 💪 You can expect new content to drop every Friday, starting Oct. 6th.
Thank you for reading! 💗

Jack's Therapy Game
(From the beginning: -> here)
After Jack cared for the horses and Lou prepared the room for Jack, they went over to the Pub.
Jack didn't get kicked out like Vlad and no one asked about his 'status'.
Jack: "About the money for the room and stuff... I'll get a job right tomorrow morning. I heard the sculptor is hiring."
Lou: "Oh no, no one works for the sculptor."
Jack: "I don't have problems to take my shirt off."
Lou: "It's not this. We don't talk about it. Don't you worry, you can help me at the shop."
Lou noticed Jack's rash.
Lou: "Isn't this painful? I've heard about this. Did your Alpha die? If you don't get this treated you might die too, you know that, don't you?"
Jack: "No, he didn't die - it's uhm... complicated and yes..."
Now that he thinks about it, it doesn't hurt! He didn't even pay attention since he was so stressed about being locked up. But as far as he remembers, it didn't hurt since he entered the game!
Jack: "I'm fine :3 So, are these your horses?"
Lou: "No, Lunatic belongs to no one but he kind of lives here and Val is the horse of a friend from the neighboring village. But he's here all the time because they are deeply in love."
Jack: "Is that so."
Does that mean this friend is NPC Jeb? Well, since Ji Ho and some of their other friends are also here as NPCs, it would make sense. Jack hopes he can talk to one of them soon to see how 'real' their NPC versions are.
Tiny Can maybe does this so they feel comfortable in their therapy.
Even the Queen and the Prince Caleb are here tonight.
And he's seen NPC Leander, Barfolomew and: Greg -.-
But the Queen and Greg don't sit together. Like at the Arena.
That's good news!
Jack: "Is the Queen married?"
Lou: "No. And she's only the Queen here until the Prince gets married to Princess Jihovere."
Princess Jihovere? Caleb and Ji Ho will get married here? OMG!
And the Queen will not stay the Queen here so his chances to hit on her just increased! (Omg Jack!)
('Jihovere' refers to 'Guinevere', the beloved wife of King Arthur.)
Jack and Lou had a good time at the pub and Jack has a good feeling about this therapy.
For once he can try to act like a 'more normal' person in this world and see what he could achieve. No one here knows about his disorders and hardships. And here he can experience what his life could be if he overcame/worked on some of them. He's fully aware that he can't be 'healed' and he knows that his friends love him and worry about him and try to protect him. But he also gets the feeling that this keeps him from prospering. He'll talk about this with the others when he's back.
But he's going to stay a little longer because he really likes Lou and they have so much fun together. And the pain is gone. Jack hadn't felt this good for a very long time.
'Everybody here is out of sight
They don't bark, and they don't bite
They keep things loose, they keep 'em tight
Everybody was dancin' in the moonlight
Dancin' in the moonlight
Everybody's feelin' warm and bright
It's such a fine and natural sight
Everybody's dancin' in the moonlight
We like our fun and we never fight
You can't dance and stay uptight
It's a supernatural delight
Everybody was dancin' in the moonlight'

Chapter Twenty (Part 4)
When I’m certain he’s gone and he’s not coming back, I finally allow my muscles to collapse, and as soon as I do the tears start flowing again. My eyes are already raw, and my throat sore from the last time, and my fingers come to clutch at my heart and my throat as though I need to pull away the invisible hand strangling me. I hurry away from Marnie’s house, down the ramps towards little Seapoint Beach, where the dark sand is littered with slimy seaweed and rubbish from the day, and the moon glints off the waves, white spumes of foam peaking with each undulation. I sit on a wet, green rock and take out my phone. I feel desolate. Sucked under by my loneliness, the knowledge that I have ruined everything and there are things I’ve broken that I may never repair. There is only one person in the world left to call, and I dial the number.
His voice is cracked and sleepy as it comes over the line. “…Hello?”
I realise that I won’t be able to speak to him without crying. It takes me a long moment to gather myself, my chest heaving with an anticipatory sob.
He repeats himself, more soberly this time. “Hello? Evie, is that you?”
“Hi Shane.” I blubber. “I’m so sorry I called you.”
“What’s wrong?”
I sniff. “Are you… I’m so sorry I know it’s like, almost three in the morning… are you still in Cyprus?”
“No, I’m not, we got back earlier today.”
“Oh. You’re in Dublin right now?” my heart lifts with the thought of him being nearby.
“No, I’m at home in Tullamore at the minute, in mam and dad’s, why?”
“Oh, it’s okay then, don’t mind me.”
I hear fabric crunching over the line, presumably his duvet as he gets out of bed. His voice comes down the line urgently. “Evie, what’s happening? Are you okay?”
“No.” I admit with a soft hiccup, and then my shoulders begin to shake. I bring my free hand to my face, my nose running over my mouth.
“Where are you?”
“I’m on Seapoint Beach.”
“Alright. Can you stay there? Are you safe?”
I nod. “Yeah, I’m fine, I’m just a bit cold.”
I hear him moving about and the thump of a shoe against the floor. “Hang on, I’m coming.”
“Shane, you’re too far away.”
“I’ll be an hour and a half, there’s no traffic at this time… where’s my keys…”
“I don’t want you to have to do this… I’m sorry I called you and woke you up, you must be so tired…”
“It’s nothing.” He insists. “I’m on the way. Seapoint Beach, the one between Blackrock and Monkstown, right?”
I sniffle “Yeah.”
“Stay there, okay? Don’t move a muscle. I’m coming now.”
“Okay.”
“Call me if you move, or if anything happens. I’ll have my phone with me the whole time.”
“Thank you.”
“It’s grand. It’s nothing.”
We hang up and I wait.
I hear the distant swish of tyres on the road before I see him. The sky is lightening already, even in these early hours of the morning, and his Fiat Punto is backlit with hazy purple as he pulls up to the curb at the entrance to the beach. I gasp with relief when I see him, he gets out of the idling car and I run up the ramp towards him.
“Evie.” He says as I launch myself into his arms. We don’t usually hug each other, not like this, but tonight he wraps his arms around me and holds me to his broad chest so tightly that I’m afraid he’ll crush my ribs to dust. “I’m here now.” He says.
“I can’t believe you came all the way.” I say, the sound muffled in his fleece as he rubs my back. “Sure, of course I did. What else was I meant to do?”
“You could have left me here.”
“I’d never do a thing like that.” he says it with this kind of disturbed edge to his voice, as though he can’t fathom that there are men out there who would. He looks down at me and tuts softly. “What are they after doing to you at all?”
“I can’t.” I sob. “I can’t talk about it now.”
“That’s fine.” He says, and then hesitates before saying, “Where’s your top?”
“Oh.” I say, looking down at my bikini and shorts combo. “The rest of my clothes are in a bag inside the house. I’ll just leave them there.”
“A whole bag of stuff, like?”
I nod.
“I’ll go in and get it for you.”
“You don’t have to, Shane, really, it’s fine.”
“Is there anything important in the bag?”
I pause. “My purse and my phone charger are there.”
“I’ll get it.” He says decisively, and then when I look at him worriedly he reassures me. “I won’t look at or talk to anybody, I’ll just quietly go in and get it and then I’ll leave.”
I tell him where the bag is and how to find it, and then I wait by the car. It’s only five minutes before he comes back with it, takes my hoodie out and tosses it to me. “Throw that on you there.”
“Shane…” I say as he stands at the driver’s side door across from me. “I’m glad that you came.”
“Yeah it’s no problem.”
“And I’m so sorry.”
“No sure, it didn’t end up being a long drive at this hour anyway.”
“No, I mean, I’m sorry for everything else that-”
“I know you are.” He interjects. “And I’m saying you’re alright, we’re here now, it is what it is. I’m just glad you called me.”
“I’m glad too.”
He gets into the car and leans over to open the door on my side. “Come on, in you get. I’ll take you home to your mam.” And I do, and he sticks on the radio as we pull away, driving on towards the rising sun.

Phoenix: I’m really glad you’re coming with me tomorrow. Julian’s going to love you.
Dawn: I’m looking forward to meeting him. You said he’s your dad’s brother, right? Not your mom’s?
Phoenix: Right.
Dawn: And you guys have never talked about your dad? Even when you lived there?
Phoenix: Uh-uh. Never came up, I guess.
Dawn: Aren’t you curious?
Phoenix: About what exactly?
Dawn: I don’t know. If he’s still out there somewhere?
Phoenix: You make it sound so ominous. Like he’s some serial killer lurking in the shadows. [turning and pretending to attack her]
Dawn: [shrieks and laughs] For all you know, he could be!
Phoenix: I highly doubt it.
Dawn: Fair enough, but don’t you at least want to know if he’s alive?
Phoenix: I don’t see why it matters. What are the possibilities really? He’s dead and I’ll never get a chance to know him? Or he’s alive and chose not to know me, in which case I don’t want to know him. Is one better than the other?
Dawn: I suppose not.
Phoenix: Exactly.
[Dawn ponders for a moment, wondering if he’s right. Phoenix looks up, seeing her brow furrowed and her eyes scanning the room but not looking at anything in particular. He realizes the conversation isn’t over yet when she starts chewing the inside of her lip, and he waits for her to speak.]
Dawn: What if I wanted to ask your uncle? Would that be terribly inappropriate?
Phoenix: Uhhhh… kind of. You really want to know that bad?
Dawn: I just think, maybe it would make a difference if he couldn’t see you versus choosing not to. Don’t you want, I don’t know, closure or something?
Phoenix: Dawn.
Dawn: What?
Phoenix: I don’t need “closure”, whatever the fuck that means. Maybe you need to stop focusing on my family and deal with your own.
Dawn: That’s not… you don’t know shit about my family.
Phoenix: Only because you won’t talk about them.
Dawn: …
Phoenix: [gesturing toward her] Case in point.
Dawn: [sighs and sinks to the floor] I don’t know what you want me to say.
Phoenix: Why don’t you talk to your parents anymore? What happened?
Dawn: Nothing happened… Fine, if I tell you, can we never talk about this again?
Phoenix: Sure.

The True Story of the Villareal Family [3.1]
prev // home // next
It was finally the weekend at the Windenburg community pool, and it always started with a certain sound.
Flip.
Flop.
Flip.
Flop.
Flipflopflipflopflipflop.
Savvy poolgoers knew to get out of the way when they heard the march of the flip-flops, because it meant the Paragons were coming.
The Paragons descended in concert, perfect skin and teeth gleaming in their coordinated pink bathing suits.
Their entrance at the community pool was a power statement.
Normally, Luna would bask in the attention, but today she was daydreaming about someone: a mysterious knight she had recently met. Her little crush was still a secret from the Paragons, but she was sure they’d approve of her Prince Charming – once she figured out who was in that suit of armor.
The Paragons turned the corner and seated themselves at the front of the pool in perfect synchronicity. The Paragons were club royalty, and the pool was their kingdom.
But they were also benevolent, allowing Windenburg’s peasants to share the community pool even if they were less-than-perfect.
So, shall we take a tour of their kingdom?
────────✦───────
“On days that end in ‘y’, we wear pink.” - Paragons
Of course, at the head of the pool sit our favorite club in Windenburg, the Paragons. Popular, pink, and perfect, one does not simply admire the Paragons – one worships them.
“Hey, we’re not Partihaus *all* the time. Right now we’re just don’t-talk-to-us-we’re-hungover-haus.” - Partihaus
In the northeast corner sit Windenburg’s biggest party club, Partihaus. They throw the best ragers, and while they’re all hot messes, they typically don’t have beef with other clubs. (Their drama is mostly internal and probably due to the fact that they’ve all hooked up with each other at some point).
“So, would you rather fight 10 duck-sized llamas, or one llama-sized duck?” - Misfits
At the east side of the pool loiter the Misfits – townies who belong to obscure clubs, or worse, who don’t belong to any. These are the kids who bring their homework to the pool and then complain when their books get wet from people splashing near them.
Luna’s twin brother Hugo was regrettably a Misfit, but she still loved him. Not everyone’s jib is cut out to be a Paragon.
“I’m ugly and dumb and like to break things.” – a Renegade, probably
And finally, we have the Renegades. If the Paragons are perfect, then the Renegades are the exact opposite of perfect. They’re a group of no-good criminals who enjoy harassing people, breaking things, and vandalizing the city.
And the Renegades and Paragons hate each other.
So, I'm sure it'll be another peaceful, drama-free day at the Windenburg community pool...
