okay so lassie is probably on the autism spectrum, but i'd also say he has/had some substance abuse issues with alcohol and also struggles/struggled with depression. and from what we've seen he's got some childhood trauma

shawn very obviously has adhd. he's also got some unresolved childhood trauma and a bit of a hero complex. i wouldn't say he's a narcissist but he's very self centered and could be considered a pathological liar by some people

gus probably has an anxiety disorder, most likely generalized anxiety disorder(i would say maybe ocd but that's a bit extreme for his symptoms). i do think that he could potentially have add as well

jules is probably neurotypical though considering her line of work and what we know of her past(fairly standard childhood and whatnot), a future ptsd diagnosis wouldn't be entirely unexpected

2: Is there a meaning behind their name, or a particular reason why they have it? (either in the story, or why you as the author decided to give them their name)

I initially picked his name since it was one of the ones Codsworth says in-game, decided that was his last name and he just goes by it(+ he’s weirded out by Codsworth knowing his name since they never met pre-war), and then decided that he can have a really outdated first name(Cyril) which he dislikes and avoids using.

7: What is their biggest insecurity?

He’s very insecure about the whole ghoulification thing and tries to avoid dealing with that as much as possible. He’s also pretty insecure about his relationships, he’s very hesitant about relying on others and it takes a lot for him to drop the whole emotionally unavailable thing he usually has going on.

8: What is their coping mechanism?

Running away, chems, gaslighting himself, etc etc- basically anything he can do to avoid whatever he should be coping with. He’s clearly doing great and deals with his issues in a safe, healthy manner(sarcasm)
