I didn’t listen to any music voluntarily until I was 11/12ish years old.

I listened to music, yes. The music my parents listened to in the car, the music my family would play at parties, bands my sister listened to. Songs that came up in movies, etc.

But I distinctly remember being indifferent(?) idk, it’s not like I hated music. I just preferred the silence (because silence meant I could hear whatever was coming, it helped me be prepared).

And then one day (11/12ish years old) I was just walking at school and something. switched. Suddenly my ears, or my brain, said “oh, we can listen now, don’t you hear it? reaaally hear it” and that was the moment I started listening to music.

That was also the moment I realized I couldn’t possibly listen to ALL the music there is. Because that’s a lot. And I’m the kind of person (now) that plays a song on repeat (I once listened to the same song for three days straight). I like to really sit with the music and let myself hear, and feel and all that stuff.

There’s no point here. I was just listening to some songs (new artists I’ve never heard before, many different styles, but they have soul and I’m here to hear it) and I remembered those days because I was so distraught back then because I thought I had wasted a good decade not really listening, y’know.

I don’t blame myself for that anymore. I appreciate the time I have now, and I like to hear some music while I’m at it.

first of all, i absolutely adore your art and the amount of detail you put in it.

this might be a weird question, but why don't you draw katara's hair loopies braided? since you have a more realistic style, i always assumed you would draw them braided instead of loose.

uhm… I have no clue? honestly… laziness probably? forgetting to do it? maybe it doesn't look as good, so I don't do it. like I do just a flat simple arrow for aang because the intricate one doesn't look as nice in my style compared to how others do it? (this one really hurts me internally because I want to give aang a pretty arrow but I just cant -sobs-) so I may be tried once for katara but gave up because 'nahh this looks odd'

ok so i originally took this literally as in i thought it meant like. "kill your darlings" as in killing off ocs or characters for plot development JHSDLKJBLKBJLKA

BUT after looking it up and realizing it means killing off/removing unnecessary plotpoints and storylines (and jus removing characters not killing them in universe) i will say that. hmmmm. ive done that a Lot i think. in my first draft of blazing sky (its a work in progress title and also its a. warrior cats story featuring my own ocs. i am crnge but i am freeeeeee wc has been one of my strongest hyperfixation for. like. what. seven years?????? so like KSJDDLKSJG but anyways-) there were a lot of plotpoints that i tried to make Work but eventually jus ended up scrapping. like the thing about darkwing (aka the son of darkstar, shadowclans leader, and also the older brother of mistyleaf adnd amberpaw) being Evil and basically just. Darkstar Jr. that had a whole Side Thing which i eventually scrapped and made darkwing be NOT evil and be a protagonist insteaed

another thing is a rly rly big change which was the fact that in tha first coupl of drafts of blazing sky, amberpaw was supposed to Die! as an apprentice! meaning she wouldnt have become a warrior. but i later changed that too and now amberpaw lives and becomes a warrior by the name of amberheart. shes the skrunkly ever <3

A MONTH or two later. a new warrior cats book came out and it was revealed that the main villain of that book #was in fact posessed by another cat and its like !!!!!!!!!!! god damnit!!!!!!!!!
