@thedarkline ask which disappeared:
Can you do one where Huisang is upset about the loss of his best friends? After the cloud recesses and the training camp he looked forward to seeing Wei Wuxian and JC again and now they don’t even like each other and WW is so cold now. Maybe they deserve a forced vacation?
ao3
Nie Mingjue blinked.
“Oh,” he said. “I see. This is a hallucination, and I should go get checked out by the doctors.”
“Rude, da-ge,” Nie Huaisang sniffed. “Also, you should in fact go get checked out by the doctors some more. I’m still worried about you, you got out of bed too quickly after everything. But also: rude!”
“All right, I’ll concede that maybe I didn’t hallucinate and you in fact said what you said,” Nie Mingjue said. “But…why? I thought you liked Wei Wuxian!”
“I do like him! Of course I like him!”
Nie Mingjue threw his hands into the air. “Then why in the world would you want me to bring him to trial?”
“Because he hasn’t done anything wrong,” Nie Huaisang said. “It’s all a bunch of rumor and innuendo, and now Jiang Cheng had to throw him out of the sect and pretend he doesn’t like him – which is ridiculous – and we can’t all hang out the way we used to and it’s awful, da-ge! Just awful!”
“Pretty awful for Wei Wuxian stuck living on the Burial Mounds and Jiang Cheng having to rebuild his sect all by himself, but yes, by all means, let’s focus on how it affects you personally,” Nie Mingjue said dryly. “No fun hangouts with your friends. How will you survive?”
Nie Huaisang ignored him.
“My point is,” he said loftily, “if he’s found innocent after a trial, then he can come back. It’s perfect!”
“Huaisang…”
“I’m serious.”
Nie Mingjue rubbed his forehead and, reluctantly, started trying to actually think it through. Nie Huaisang could sometimes be distracted by shiny things, like a shopping trip or a new fan, but sometimes he would demonstrate his heritage by getting his teeth into something and stubbornly refusing to let up on it, ever.
It was nice to see him living up to at least some family traditions.
“Wei Wuxian did murder some Jin sect guards,” he pointed out. “He’s unquestionably guilty of that.”
“First off, no one cares about that,” Nie Huaisang rebutted. “And you know it.”
“They should. The fact that the Jin are soulless bastards isn’t exculpatory.”
“No, but also you’re wrong. The fact is, Wei Wuxian didn’t kill them.”
“What?”
“He didn’t! Wen Ning did.”
“…I’m not sure how it’s better that the Ghost General was involved.”
Nie Huaisang waved his fan at him. “Da-ge, don’t be obtuse! Wen Ning wasn’t the Ghost General at that point – he was just a fierce corpse. No consciousness.”
Nie Mingjue waited for his brother to explain his logic. He assumed there was some, anyway.
Nie Huaisang rolled his eyes as if he thought Nie Mingjue was being purposefully slow just to mess with him, which he wasn’t, for once. “Da-ge. Wen Ning was a fierce corpse who had been killed by the Jin sect guards. If he’d resurrected without Wei-xiong’s help, would anyone have said anything?”
“Of course not. A murderer’s victim seeking vengeance for the crime committed against them is a classic case that calls for liberation, provided they haven’t killed anyone else in the process or gotten a taste for killing people such that they would continue doing so afterwards.”
“Exactly.”
“But Wei Wuxian did resurrect him.”
“Naturally he did! He was looking for his friend, he wanted to speak with him; he’s a demonic cultivator. What could be more natural? It’s no different from a Lan playing Inquiry to see if they can find a lost soul. How was Wei Wuxian to know that the Jin sect guards had murdered him, and that Wen Ning would therefore arise as a fierce corpse bent on immediate vengeance?”
Nie Mingjue wanted to laugh, and also possibly to suggest that Nie Huaisang consider picking up a sideline in advocacy, except that he really didn’t actually want a lawyer in the family.
“All right,” he said, suppressing his amusement. “Let’s say I’m following where you’re leading. Then why didn’t Wei Wuxian, demonic cultivator, stop the murder?”
“Da-ge, please,” Nie Huaisang cast him a horrified look. “You’re not suggesting a cultivator can be held responsible for not acting swiftly enough to stop something, are you? Imagine how much of the cultivation world might be at risk if that were the rule!”
“Mm. A good point. Didn’t I hear somewhere that Wei Wuxian had already known that the Jin sect guards had killed Wen Ning…?”
“Surely Wei-xiong would never make such an assumption about the good, upstanding people that a good, upstanding sect like Lanling Jin took on as their own. It must have been a misunderstanding. You know how young heroes are, all bluster and hot air. Are we kicking people out of sects just for that?”
Nie Mingjue’s shoulders were shaking with the effort to keep his laughter inside.
“There, you see! Perfectly logical,” Nie Huaisang concluded, throwing his sleeves up with a flourish. “Obviously the entire sequence of events that led to Jiang Cheng kicking Wei Wuxian out is simply a misunderstanding. Easily resolved!”
“Right. And the Wen sect? They were supposed to be in Jin sect custody.”
“Uh, da-ge, the Jin sect appointed guards that killed some of them, a fact we know for sure because we’ve gotten it based on the testimony of the dead – again, like Inquiry. Are you saying we can’t rely on things like Inquiry? What will the Lan sect say if they hear you suggest such a thing?”
“I’m suggesting that we still need to do something with the Wen sect.”
“Let Jiang Cheng take them and put them to work.” Nie Huaisang shrugged. “He’s got a whole sect to rebuild, hasn’t he? Anyway, they were the ones who were massacred, they should get first call on what to do with them.”
“Firstly, taking them in means that Jiang Cheng has to feed them –”
“The Jin sect can pay for that, if they’re so enthusiastic about helping deal with them.”
“Secondly, why would Jiang Cheng want the kinsman of the people who killed his parents? I thought you liked him?”
“I’m getting him back Wei Wuxian,” Nie Huaisang said. “He’s going to have to deal with the baggage Wei Wuxian picked up along the way on his own. What do I look like, someone who fixes things for people? Please, da-ge. I’m only human. There’s only so much that I’m capable of.”
Nie Mingjue gave in and started laughing.

impulse is no stranger to begging.
pathetic as it is, he’s found himself begging far too many times throughout the many seasons of the life series. every game, without fail, he’s had to scream and cry and beg for things no person should have to beg for.
he’s begged for his life. he’s sobbed and ached and pleaded for peace and pause and patience, for violence to cease and for reason to prevail. he’s cried far too many tears and screamed far too many pleas just for the right to exist, to be heard and seen and cared about.
he’s begged for death. to be put out of his misery, to have it all be over and done with, to take the coward’s way out. he’s tried to convince people to just do it, kill him, take his time, his hearts, his life. it doesn’t matter if he’ll come back afterwards, if it’s his first life or his last. he’s broken down and fallen to his knees, he’s taunted others and egged them on. he’s wanted release, and he’s gotten it. he knows it’ll happen again, whether he asks for it or not. that’s just how death works.
he’s begged for love. to have somebody look at him and see something beautiful, something special, something worth loving back. he’s done the stupidest things to ensure his relationships, things no rational person would find normal and okay. but these games have proven that sometimes impulse isn’t the most sane. sometimes he’s willing to play into other peoples’ sick needs, so long as it means they’ll stay, that they’ll love him. he can spare a clock and swallow the disgust that comes with hearing each agonizing tick.
he’s begged for closure. for apologies, for sympathy, for just some semblance of regret or remorse, maybe even guilt. he’s tried being patient and understanding. he’s tried so, so hard. but there’s only so much dismissal and immaturity and outright victim blaming he can take before it’s just too much. before murder and vengeance and ugly, disgusting things sound much more appealing than making amends. he’s put up with so much, taken so much shit and dealt with so much absurdity and abuse. he’s long since earned some revenge.
he’s begged for second chances. impulse isn’t perfect, not at all, but he can’t even begin to stomach the thought of being like the people who’ve hurt him. impulse isn’t a monster, and he has to prove that. anything he can do to better himself, he’ll do it. he’d work himself to death if it meant clearing his name, clearing the heads of the people he’s hurt, giving them the closure he himself fought so hard to get. he refuses to go down a villain. that’s not who he is, he swears.
he’s begged for peace. even when arrows are flying and blood is shedding, he still finds it in himself to try and put an end to the violence. impulse isn’t a fighter, not in any way that counts in games like these. at his core, impulse is made of love, love that he wants to give and share. and so he begs for the chance to love instead of hate, to talk instead of fight, for peace instead of everything else the life series stands for. it’s a futile effort. he begs anyways.
he’s begged to win. impulse, at his core, is also competitive. he’s gotten so close so many times, had the crown just out of reach, ripped away from him. it’s like some sick joke, like the universe finds pleasure in seeing him crumble and shatter, having everything taken from him. he’s tired of being a stepping stone, tired of being a means to an end. always an angel, never a god. impulse wants to be god. he prays he will one day.
he’s begged to be a person. he’s begged for basic human decency. he’s begged for things nobody should ever have to even ask for. no person should have to plead to be seen as human, as someone worthy of love and care. he deserves patience and compassion and gentle hands to hold him when he falls apart. he deserves the same care he gives others. he deserves to be happy.
impulse can’t help but feel dumb, asking for such stupid things. he feels like an idiot for crying over the injustices he’s faced and the times he’s been denied, when his pleading has been refused or ignored.
he knows it’s annoying, repetitive, pathetic. but he won’t stop. it’s the fault of his affirmation, his blessing and his curse: his persistence. impulse won’t stop until his prayers are answered, until he gets what he wants.
impulse doesn’t want to beg anymore.
please, please, please. let him get what he wants.

Tyler Galpin :
Good. I'm going for it. With Tyler, we are sure a teenager who had a lot of problems in his life. The trauma of his mother's death, his father's neglect, etc. Yes, we know that he was not a child at heart, friends with the guys from the world of pilgrims, massacring Xavier's fresco. But he went to a recovery center after that, visibly moving away from his old associates afterwards.
That's where Laurel came in.
She targeted him, taking advantage of his solitude, his insecurities, and his need for attention, gaining his trust by telling him the truth about his mother, unleashing the Hyde in him. At first he was scared, so she chained him up in the cave, abused him physically, mentally and emotionally until he obeyed her, injecting him with I don't know what product, enslaving him, she becoming his master. God, she saw him naked, tied up, freaked out and scared. Total vulnerability.
She refers to herself as his "mom" and has frankly frightening gestures of "affection" towards him, stroking his hands and face. In the café flashback scene, it definitely felt like flirting. It was knowingly abused, let's not be afraid of the word groomed, would be more correct.
Tyler couldn't remember what he was doing at first, not understanding what happened to him. However, he also tells Wednesday that he came to enjoy killing.
But is this really the case?
We're sure someone's absolutely fucked up psychologically. So, did he really end up enjoying doing all this? Or did Laurel convince him he liked it? Has he convinced himself to preserve himself? Give himself a modicum of control in a system where he had no choice anyway? (Because yes, let's remember that in any case, the master controls the monster) Has he gone mad?
Or, (and most likely to me) is it just the Hyde talking? Does Tyler have two personalities?
We all know that Hyde comes after all from Jekyll and Hyde. The duality between good and evil. We are also told that his mother was probably bipolar, and the doubt as to whether she really was, besides being a Hyde, is kept. (so maybe Tyler had other mental issues before Laurel arrived and she made them worse)
When Tyler reveals the truth to Wednesday, tears gradually fill his eyes, it is already completely the case when he whispers in his ear, all the more visible when he raises his head. You can see that he is holding back his tears. For those who say he's just putting on the nice guy mask, it doesn't make sense, the tears are progressive and start when he talks about the murders. Also, when he leaves, on the contrary, his face is not sad, but neutral. (I even think he has a little smile at one point) Only against Wednesday did he look so sad. Nobody else. Because yes, he looks sad. The interest if he reveals to him to be a monster? There is no more manipulation in play at this time.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This scene terribly gives the impression that two personalities overlap and clash, not that we are being revealed to a big bad manipulator in my opinion, sorry.
Either way, Tyler's case is clear. He is above all a victim. Someone who needs to be psychologically treated, even though he ended up "liking" committing these murders, since in any case, he was formatted to be this murderer by Laurel. I'm sick of seeing people spit on his character, saying he's just a freak psycho, when Laurel is literally there and the show is very explicit about what she did to him. How can someone think he is completely in control of his condition when he says he likes to kill? Even if it came to this result, you have to think about the whole phsycological process behind it.
Also the idea that Tyler has completely manipulated Wednesday does not pass in my opinion, already, just with this scene, but even more so with episode 1. Tyler was ready to help Wednesday leave town. There was no reason for that, even for Laurel's plan. When Wednesday asks him why he would agree to help him leave town for free, he replies that at least one of them can go, as if something is holding him back. I'm sure he didn't know Laurel's plan yet, it wouldn't make sense otherwise to agree to help Wednesday get out of town. Wanting a romantic relationship with Wednesday isn't a necessity for Laurel's plan either, like, really not. Maybe he just liked the idea of making a marginal suffer? Unlikely for me. The effort Tyler showed on their first date, and the detail he put into it, is obvious. It's way too much for someone who just plays comedy. Decorating the crypt, the choice of film, or the fact that he carefully observed her reactions throughout.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And to anyone who says Wednesday could never be with Tyler because he killed people… how shall I put it. The fact that he's killing people isn't Wednesday's issue. The problem is WHO he killed, or at least who he tried to go after, namely people she liked. But beyond that, with Tyler's situation and if he's showing any regrets, I think she could easily forgive him. We're talking about a girl who was tossed piranas into her high school swimming pool as revenge for her brother's bullies. She was even disappointed that she had failed to kill them. She admits to having sociopathic tendencies, worthy of a serial killer. She tells Tyler that she would have done much worse than mugging Xavier and ruining his mural and that she isn't judging him. She also had Xavier accused of murder, without real evidence, and was completely ready to torture Tyler. She adores her Uncle Fester, who finds having a necrophilia bent an awesome quality, and who apparently served time in prison for eating Boy Scouts. Knowing that in the movie, Morticia says they like to reap themselves from those who would like to submit them, apparently the motto of the Addams family, I think this reference to cannibalism is not just a joke, even for the series.
Also, yes, Wednesday genuinely liked / love Tyler. No one can say otherwise. She was intrigued by him from episode 1. She went to the ball with him in episode 4, was planning to kiss him back when he tried in the crypt, is the one who ended up kissing him the first, and most obviously, she smiled at him. Not sketches like she had with other characters, but a real sweet smile. The truest we've seen after the one she gave to her uncle and which was huge by comparison, I grant you. But Tyler is the only person after Fester with whom she has sincerely, unambiguously or restrained, smiled.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ah and there is also the fact that she says:
Of course the first boy I kiss would turn out to be a psychotic serial-killing monster. I guess I have a type.
(I put in parenthesis because I'm not sure which one, is it me or Wednesday also had tears in his eyes when Tyler revealed the truth to him? Knowing that once again, the only person for whom it is sight crying is the thing)
Wednesday is not one to develop these kinds of feelings easily. I doubt that Xavier arrives at such a result so quickly, although yes, Wednesday appreciates it, but not in a romantic sense for me. Yes, she took an arrow for him, but she was ready to fight for everyone in her school at the time.
So when I see some that say there's 0 possibility that Wednesday and Tyler will still be romantically involved later on, I'm like:
Tumblr media
I know the actor said of Tyler "He was always playing her. Maybe there's an attraction there and, he probably wouldn't admit it, but a respect for her, but he's filled with so much anger and hatred toward her and her family and all of Nevermore because of what happened to his mom." But the actors are not gospel, they can say things that are inaccurate, even downright absurd for some. Also, they are not in the writing room. Also, I think he is just giving his opinion. And I'm sorry, but again the idea that he manipulated her from A to Z, feeling only a form of attraction for her, does not fit many moments in the series. Again, the beginning where he agrees to help her get out of town, the interest? It was the first episode, and he probably didn't know Laurel's plan for him yet. When Wednesday asks him why he would agree to help him, he replies that at least one of them can leave this town, as if he wanted to get out of it but was stuck there. The date too, once again there were so many unnecessary details in there for someone who was just playing. The looks he gave her when she wasn't looking. Not to mention that much-discussed moment where he reveals the truth to Wednesday, but literally looks like he's about to cry at the end? Sorry Doohan, but I find it hard to take your words as the absolute truth. Hyde, as in Jekyll and Hyde. Tyler doesn't just have the Hyde in him. It would be a monstrous waste of his character otherwise.
Frankly, I would be extremely disappointed if the show only made Tyler the enemy of Wednesday in the sequel, in pure monster mode. I even think that it would be a rather nauseating message in view of what the character has suffered and the allusions to mental illness.
It would also be so interesting to see the reintegration of a Hyde among the marginalized. Because yes, it seems that Tyler is at this stage his place nowhere. Neither among normal people, nor among the marginalized. He is the ultimate misfit. We don't know everything about the Hydes, and Tyler would be a great way to find out more, to finally complete the research on this subject.
Seriously, don't you find it depressing the idea that a particular type of monster, among a swarm, is deemed worse and unsalvageable? That no Hyde could ever manage to control himself? I see them so much as a parallel to bipolarity, especially because of the case of Tyler's mother. There should be no exclusion among the marginalized. Not to mention that it's not like we tried to help them in a separate way, no, we just excluded them when they didn't ask to be who they are. Literally only one person trying to find out more and no one took over after his death.
I would really like Tyler to have some kind of redemption, while obviously keeping some of his dark side that makes him a member of the marginalized.
Your thoughts on this?

…..Im starting to like Damon…please tell me some canon facts abt him and his personality.
[*cracks knuckles* Okay...Here's everything from his bio page.]
Name- Stalker (real name- Damon) Color- Red Age- 30 January 6, Capricorn, chinese zodiac: Rooster, 1993 Height- 194 cm Gender- Male sexuality- Pansexual and poly but only with MC and DG Horoscope- Capricorn Personality- quiet, forgiving, curious, clingy, caring but also violent when he loses his temper, gets jealous easily. Ability- Good sense of smell, strong bite force. He pretty much has ability of wolf. Likes- gardening, roses, meat, calm music, bees, MC, taking photos. Dislikes- loud noises, the feeling of loneliness, getting heart broken, rough/bad scents. Work- Florist Voice- Similar voice with Legoshi from Beastar favorite animal- Bees favorite food and drink- Meat and coffee/energy drinks Kink- knife play/blood play, biting, gentle and rough sex, teasing, sadism/masochism, hair pulling, praise.
Backstory- During his younger years Stalker had always been very quiet and awkward around others. He wasn't very popular during his school years and he was bullied heavily due to his shy nature. To stay calm he would carry a rose in pot with him, this would lead to even more bullying. Eventually he became used to being bullied but things became more difficulty when he developed a crush. Being so shy he didn't have the courage to talk to her so he started to stalk her in hopes of getting to know her better. When he finally got enough courage to talk to her and tell her about his feelings things didn't go so well. When she realized that he had been stalking her she became very angry and disturb with him. She rejected him and ruined the rose he tried to give her as a gift of his love. She told other people about what he did and from then on people started to call him Stalker. He didn't care about being called Stalker and over time he accept it as his new name. But being rejected by his crush hurt him very deeply. This rejection angred him so much that one day he killed her. He was never caught for his crime but people suspected him to be the culprit, however they thought he's was to weak to do something like that. He was still bullied and he did his best to avoided others. The bullying did stop when he lost his temper after one of the bullies attacked him and ruined his potted rose. In his rage he attacked the bully and brutally beat them. Afterwards his parents decided to move away to get a new start for him.
As an adult he continued to avoided people but his loneliness and depression became too much for him to bare. He yearned to find someone he could be close to and love but he was fearful of being rejected again. So he went back stalking people he developed an interest with. Even though he believed he won't find anybody he hoped that one day he would find the right one. And even though they were just crushes he would get extremely jealous if someone flirted with his crush. He would kill the ones who tried to take his crushes away. During one of his killing episodes he meet Delivery guy who was trying to find a new victim. Delivery guy was very interested in Stalker and wanted to get to know him better and eventually they became close friends.
-He had crush on Angel but since she is very popular he never really got a chance to get close to her and tell her about his feelings so when the times passed he slowly began to lose the hope that he could ever be her boyfriend what eventually end up to giving up and moving on with his life. It was tough for him but it hurt even more not being able to reach to her. (not to mention he doesn't like being constantly jealous. Which happens a lot when he had to watch others fawning over Angel.)
Extra- -He works at flower shop. -loves dancing. -He played piano when he was younger. -loves swimming. -Has sensitive ears. -He doesn't really know how to cook (maybe simple ones) but pretty much because of this he usually eats the meat raw. (He can eat raw meat without any problem. He won't get sick.) -He owns a big bee plushie what he usually hugs when he's sleeping or when he's feeling sad. -He likes to play games with DG even though he's not very good at playing. -He's only ok sharing MC with DG but he can get jealous if DG gets more attention than him. -Loves chocolate. -Damon has sometimes thought about getting help because there been times when people has told him to get help so he gets these thoughts that he should but DG doesn't like the idea and always tells Damon that he doesn't need it and those people who has said that are wrong and he's perfect how he is. DG tries his best to turn Damon's thoughts away from it because he worries he will lose his friend.

After years of people acting like Daemon “never loved” Rhaenyra or was using her for the throne, it’s so funny to see those arguments completely obliterated in just two episodes.
In episode 1, we see that he genuinely cares for her:
he brings her gifts with meaning and sincerity, things that have value that both of them appreciate and can treasure
she is the only one he speaks Valyrian too (he doesn’t do it with Viserys or Mysaria despite them knowing it!). One of the actors said it’s like their own secret love language a
nd that couldn’t be more accurate
look at their banter during the throne room: the way he teases her and the way she snipes back at him but instead of getting angry, he smiles. she makes him smile.
with her, he puts aside his claws and shows a very rare tenderness. that scene of him carefully putting that necklace on her? he wouldn’t be caught dead doing that to anyone else.
the look in his eyes when he goes to comfort her during her mom’s funeral? if he was really only looking to use Rhaenyra for the throne this would have been the perfect chance to drive a wedge between her and her father and draw her over to his side. but he doesn’t. why? because he cares for her and sees how alone she is in that moment
In episode 2, we see that Daemon is truly and utterly whipped:
the moment Rhaenyra arrives on her dragon he goes from smug douche mode to “oh fuck the wife is here and i need to behave now mode.” He literally clutches at that egg like a boy caught putting his hand in the cookie jar and Mysaria gives him the biggest wtf look lmao
there’s this tiny smile on his face when she lands and all of Otto’s side is in shock. he’s fucking proud of her for that glorious entrance. he’s glad to see her even if it means things are now much more complicated
Hell, you could even argue he engineered this whole scenario and trolled the fuck out of everyone, just so he could see two people that he cares about most. His brother. And Rhaenyra. He chose the one thing that he knew she’d be pissed about him taking: her brother’s egg. This is what happens when Daemon is bored, lonely, and separated from the people he cares about most for too long.
For all the people who claim Rhaenyra was the unsuspecting victim to Daemon’s desire for the throne and just manipulated and used, Rhaenyra destroys those claims with just a few sentences. “I’m right here, uncle. The object of your ire, the reason you were disinherited. If you wish to be restored as an heir, you need to kill me. So do it. And be done with all this bother.”
She straight up challenges him and tells him to kill her. Why? Because she knows that there’s no way in seven hells that he would ever come close to doing it. She sees right through him and calls his bluff. She knows he cares too much. And he knows that she knows. Hence, the slightly amused, slightly proud, and very much exasperated “you know I would never do that” look on his face.
So it’s established that he would never hurt her even if she gave him the chance. Then it’s also established that he would never lie to her either. He does his whole elaborate prank about getting another wife and having a child to everyone, but under her stare, he can’t bring himself to lie. That shows more than just care and affection. That shows that he respects her too much to lie. He can play everyone else for a fool and have his little game, but not Rhaenyra.
“You already have a wife.” “Not of my own choosing.”  The look he gives her afterwards when she tells him to kill him and he just stares at her in silence. He’s clearly not thinking “this girl really ruined my plans smh.” You can practically see the wheels turning in his head. This mf is involuntarily thinking “I’m going to make this girl my wife one day.”
TLDR: Daemon is whipped for Rhaenyra and I will hear no objections

Danganronpa if it worked like Stick of Truth
Apollo: South Park au! Clown: OMG it's like a small town au but INSANE Apollo: It's just a chaotic mess Clown: It really would One direction it could could be it's just danganronpa, but they're kids now, but also half of canon "game" is just them making things up Like play pretend! But the bears real Apollo: Who'd be who? I think Shuichi might be Kyle or Stan lmao. Maki might be Craig Oooo like stick of truth style? Clown: Yeah!! Exactly!! Also hmm, Kenny's Miu! Because that's funny Kiibo is butters Cause he gets bullied all the time I do not wanna make kokichi cartman I will cry aksbdkdh I wanna say shuichi could be Stan because of the depression lmao Junko can be cartman/hj If shuichis Stan would that make ouma wendy???
Apollo: Oh god does this mean he gets puked on? Clown: I FORGOR ABOUT THAT OH NOOOO Shuichi feels butterflies in his tummy and thinks he may be dying Danganronpa being a game all the local kids play is just, really fun. Like how in stick of truth they had the main classes and their leaders. They can have something similiar! (Am I saying this so ouma can keep child version of dice?? Yeah) There's a despair and hope side run by junko and Makoto respectively, maybe Tho I don't know what the goal of the game would be? Also hajime going "I have every skill actually" is so funny
Apollo: Probably who can out do each other in dramatics. It'd probably be a murder mystery probably where Junko pulls random people aside and assigns them killer and victim and they have to kill/die in a certain timeframe. Junko would help organize the clues and stuff and they'd hold the trials after. Also, imagine if Izuru was Hajime's twin who's like a prodigy or whatever but didn't want to play so Hajime just went I'll be talented enough for the both of us! Clown: Ouma dramatic recreation of his very serious death in the middle of the street gets interrupted by a car driving by so they scramble to wait on the sidewalk before returning to wailing dramatically Apollo: He finds fake blood and covers himself in it before putting like a bit of metal or something over himself but hears a honk and just throws the metal off and rushes to the side of the road, 'bleeding out' The town is so used to their antics that they don't even blink at the sight of Kokichi covered in blood Clown: Kaitos pulling him along like "go! Gogogogo!!" Shuichi's uncle is letting them use his garage as Shuichi's "ultimate lab" The adults are lowkey invested in the story line ajdvskbdk
Apollo: DICE gets in with planning deaths and stuff because they find it hilarious to watch everyone pretending to be dead/executed. They eventually get banned after everyone realised that Kokichi might be getting clues from them as to who the killer is "How am I meant to be the Ultimate Supreme Leader if you've banned my gang??? " Clown: Ouma keeps complaining saying it was totally fair because one of his skills is sleuthing. So of course he needed info!! "Fine!! They're in JAIL actually!! The reason so many of hajimes classmates survived is because he kept finding "revives" (a bear shaped cookie, or something) and just passed them out to his class He ran out before he could give one to chiaki… Apollo: Yes! Loser is finding all the boosts and is just handing them out Rip Chiaki Kokichi sulks for awhile until one of DICE tell him to grow up and cause hell for them 'Chapter 4.3' freaked everyone out because none of them expected Gonta and Kokichi to team up and kill Miu
Clown: YEAAHH, shuichis frantically flipping through the "rulebook" a spiral notebook junko gave them. "Is this allowed?? Is this allowed???" Their parents are watching from the kitchen window as they witness ouma and gonta put on the act of their goddamn toddler lives Apollo: They're so proud Shuichi panicked and told Kokichi he'd be alone after the trial and started apologizing almost in tears afterwards Clown: Kokichi was holding back his own tear tbh lmao Apollo: Shuichi was just panicking and wanted to seem cool by playing along with everyone. The second it was done, he run after Kokichi to apologize and tell him he didn't mean it Clown: Ouma sniffling and going "we're enemies right now." Meanwhile shuichis just [crying cat emoji] Apollo: DICE is not pleased but allow him to continue playing. Shuichi almost has a breakdown at Kokichi's death because he briefly forgets how dramatic the guy is and thought he went over the top with his death because of what he said Clown: THE CHILDHOOD ANGST His depressive episode when kaito was kidnapped?? That's him sniveling and going "I dont wanna play anymore" while everyone tries to convince him to keep going
Apollo: Kokichi huffs and gives Kaito his phone so he and Shuichi can talk when it's dark. Kaito isn't that shocked to see that Kokichi's room is an utter mess. He is a bit confused and possibly lowkey concerned when he sees the 'evidence' he's hoarded Clown: He's really going all out for the game akshdjhd His "lab" where shuichi finds evidence of previous killing games is a tent in his backyard OMG he's dramatically writing his "this is not a will" note with kaito behind him as he gets really into character Apollo: Kaito is concerned ™ with how in character Kokichi can be but at the same time is slightly jealous in awe because he wants to be like that. Sure he can play into the whole hero thing but the flu is making it hard to keep in character. Kokichi was the one to convince him to use it for the game. Mikan isn't happy because Kaito needs rest to recover quickly but here he is, working out each night before his grandparents call him home and fighting Kokichi He gave his grandparents puppy dog eyes and they let him play as long as he doesn't overdo it Clown: He didn't wanna miss out on the game!! His goatee is a piece of paper he taped to his chin To look "cooler" Apollo: Kokichi keeps trying to steal it as a 'joke', saying he can just draw one for you! Kaito naturally does not trust him Clown: Oumas trying to sharpie his face man They have a sleepover for chapter 5 and he finally succeeds Apollo: The real reason Kaito agreed to kill him /hj
[Clown went to sleep after that, and it's precisely when I bust in with my character assignments, so late it's no longer fashionable & I don't even have a coffee]
Me: Maki Craig, Miu Tweek would make so much sense actually, both how they used to fight all the time & the later relationship, Shuichi would be Stan for sure, Kokichi can be Kyle [haruruma was an attempt at Kai bait ngl] [about Kiibo as Butters] that I can wholeheartedly agree with no, Wendy is Kaede, duh okay, I am beginning to see the Junko Cartman, but for it to be really him, there needs to me more cringefail element, so I suggest Tsumugi, she has way more delulu [this is probably the only instance I used that word and I won't do it again, but also. I did use that because a character like Cartman can be genuinely delusional, like when it seemed he was just trying to take credit for the gay fish joke, until near the end of the episode when it becomes clear he believes his version of the story & is willing to die for it, it's just one of many examples when he just convinces himself of something so strongly, so I do not mean it lightheartedly] energy and that's a requirement here, we're talking about the most disturbed child on the playground Rantaro should be the french? guy that pisses of Stan because he's close to Wendy Kenny Ryoma would work, he's a tortured soul (I would consider Kenny Kokichi but I don't want to) Kaito really doesn't fit anyone, maybe he could be Clyde? (but honestly that gang would be hard to assign anyone)
Chee: theyre both fucking crying like kids do I can see it in my head, Shu apologizing and Ko just keeps repeating that theyre enemies (hes like half messing w him too) WHSHHS THE FLU IN PLACE OF HIS DISEASE IM FUCKING CRYING I LOVE THIS SO SO MUCH, Kokichi in this au reminds me of how Mysterion takes his superhero act so seriously imagine if Izuru who doesnt wanna join is the one watching out for the cars for them, he had a little chair and calls out to the others when a car comes by also Junko starting this whole huge game probably bc shes bored sounds funny
Apollo: He just has a megaphone and yells in the most bored voice I love Mysterion so much and I can see Kokichi acting sorta like him "Move or not. I don't care if you get squished for real."
Chee: I honestly just want Ko, Shu & Kaede to be Style & Wendy bc theyre my fav trios WHSHHS BUT HONESTLY KOKICHI KENNY IS COOL BUT HMM do we gotta assign them kids ? :0 Me: you know I said Kyle Kokichi for Style reasons what if I said Pip & Damien Kirumaki? Maki is a good fit for Damien, Pip is Pip [maybe it'd be better to pick a due from a different class tho, idk which assignment is better for Maki] the way main cast treats Pip would have to be adjusted but it's not like there's a better fit for Kirumi amongst those children Angie could be that girl that turned out to be a living ad
Clown: LESLIE??? Omg I love that Cartman tsumugi and Kyle kokichi at each other's throats for real

• I’d like to think that he’s very picky when it comes to certain textures. Not just with fabrics, but with food and such as-well. He probably likes Sherpa blankets but hates when they aren’t brand new, and hates using microfiber washcloths when cleaning up messes from victims or something. He also hates when cereal scrapes the top of his mouth.
•on the topic of being picky, he probably only likes certain smells and scents. I feel like he would like sweet smelling perfumes, but they’d probably give him a headache so he tends to avoid whoever is wearing it from an amount of time. He’d also like cologne, but it’s how he also feels about perfume.
• I’m pretty sure this is cannon but imma put it in anyway. I feel like he’d also be sensitive to loud noises. Obviously he’s used to it if it’s his friends or other creepypastas, but if he’s cornering one of his victims and they start screaming at the top of their lungs, it probably makes him more angrier that he already is, which leads to him killing them more violently just because of the ringing in his ears.
• I feel like he’d suck at cooking, but be really good at baking. Whenever he gets the chance, he likes to look up recipes on the internet for cakes or cookies. I think he’d bake cheesecake for another creepy-pasta, like Jeff, but wouldn’t eat it himself because he wouldn’t like the texture of his own mouth afterwards.
• He hates kiwis. Need I say more?
• This is probably gonna be a hot take. But hear me out😭 he probably likes the smiths, and listens to their lesser known music. He probably listens to edgy music aswell, like P!ATD, Get Scared (this is the 8 year old creepypasta phase speaking.) and probably more. •He would want to know how to play electric guitar, but wouldn’t care to learn it
•probably smells like a garage.
•hates pickles but likes olives, hates pepperoni but likes salami. Hates sphagetti but likes sphagetti-ohs. •His favorite movie is probably Texas chainsaw massacre or something like that.
•He would start one of those trends lying about a movie that was never real.
“you look like ____ from zepotha!”
someone else: “what?”
• His favorite animal would be either a raccoon or a Saint Bernard. he definitely likes cats though.
•on the topic of animals, I have an itch that he likes birdwatching but gets angry when no birds show up.
• probably has an untouched collection of Pokémon cards that eventually get found by Ben and probably stolen.

this was SO much fun omg. If anyone has any requests please send them!! I hope you enjoyed this because it’s a bit rushed and I had a hard time thinking of these💀💀

so idk if you remember me dropping the idea of the ghostface au with Sej and Coryo
can you imagine Sej getting mad at Coryo cause he always fucks up their plans because he just wants to kill?? I don't even care if this makes him out of character. But like Sej does the calls and Coryo kills right
Imagine Coriolanus just wanting to get on with the killing and Sejanus being "no. we have to call, we have to play with them-" "but I just wanna murder them!!!"
like idk if you're seeing what I'm seeing
also I'm tired so I hope this doesn't sound too crazy
nono i love this omg
they're sitting outside of their next victims house (who we'll select as.... idfk festus) and they're about to make the call. coriolanus won't stop fucking whining and sejanus keeps telling him to shut the hell up because they're gonna get caught.
and when sejanus finally does call coriolanus is SO goddamn happy. so so SO happy. he's in costume and he's all giddy and when they finally go for the kill he does it with some extra pizzazz cuz.. why not? and sej just watches him with a sej going "can't believe im fucking dating this guy.."
and coriolanus is all proud of himself afterwards like "did you SEE how smooth that first stab was omg he didn't stand a chanceee"
also they have that gimli/legolas thing where they compete in body counts/how long it took for them to kill someone.
"she died after the third stab! beat that!"
"NERD. my guy was dead in a SECOND."

what is UP with Alice Creel?
okay finally going into what i talked about here, what is Alice Creels deal? i'm ignoring any theories that Alice Creel is actually Karen Wheeler or any other character we know for this and just purely focus on Alice the way we see her in the flashbacks. because i've been thinking about the general oddness of Alice Creel for way too long (in a numbered list format because i like those and they're easier to keep track of *heart*)
as a quick overview:
1.) Alice is paralleled to Henry. Why though?
2.) the reason these parallels are so weird
3.) the death of Alice Creel - or more specifically WHEN does Alice Creel die? the timeline is WHACK
4.) "so... what? Alice is coming back to tell her story? she's dead."
here we go ->
1.) Alice is paralleled to Henry. Why though?
Alice has an odd amount of contrast to her brother given that we only see her in the Creel flashbacks. she has More screen time than Virginia, but still, she's a side character that seems to serve the main purpose of getting killed by Henry. they're siblings but the main relationship we know them by is murderer and murder victim, so them getting compared on a narrative level feels a bit misguided given their power and story-importance imbalance
some of the most eye caching contrasts:
1.1.) the Angel and the Demon
firstly, this was something that i thought was actually pretty straight forward on the show when Victor first mentioned it and was then surprised when they didn't make it explicit. Victor Creel begins telling his story and he's a very religious man, attributing the display of powers to a supernatural demon. and he's not wrong about something going on, he just doesn't realise it's his son doing it, so the religious imagery becomes a place holder for Henry. we know Henry is the demon. if they mention the demon? Henry!
but then it gets weird when we're suddenly introduced to a second religious figure. the Angel. the angel that saves him from the demon no less. the demon is a real person but the angel is just the radio? sure, maybe. but Victor was actually right in identifying the demon, he just put the wrong name on it, him identifying another religious entity in his house right after doesn't really give us any reason to believe he's wrong this time around. you can make the argument that the singer, Ella Fitzgerald, is the angel. but random singer vs evil superpowerd child feels much more impersonal than sister vs brother. Max let the music guide her and was ultimately saved by her friends calling out to her and her memories of them. sure, Victor's favourite 60s singer could have solely saved him from Henry by randomly playing on the radio, right place right time for once on this show i guess, but from a story writing perspective it's incredible anticlimactic
1.2.) and on this topic of music. WHY is there even music?
the radio plays right before Virginia dies and it is Victor's favourite song "Dream a little Dream" that's on. but after grabbing the children and running into the hall we can't hear the radio anymore. he tries to exit the building, falls into his vision, walks around a bit, and only THEN begins to hear the song again. so why does he even hear it in the first place? you could make the argument that not much time has passed and that the radio is just still playing, but that contradicts what we see on screen. we can't hear the radio outside the dining room. had it been the radio, why does it take a solid minute in his vision before he randomly starts hears it again? if that's not enough, Henry also messes with the radio channels right before killing Virginia so the chance of the station randomly ending back on "Dream a little Dream" is incredible small in and of itself. and on top of all of that: the music is also Gone when he snaps out of his vision. if it truly was the radio that saved him he would still be hearing it afterwards. but he doesn't
so whatever allowed Victor to hear the song that night, it was definitely not thanks to the radio that he couldn't hear and that wasn't even playing the right station anymore
and then there is also the weird connection made between Alice and Dreams in one of the few verbal lines we get from the flashbacks that aren't narrated by either Victor or Henry:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
this line serves no purpose, we learn nothing new except that she likes the house which we could already tell by her attitude. the phrasing is also a bit clunky. however, she now just randomly name dropped dreams for no greater narrative purpose we know of. and she does so TWICE because this is one of the only scenes we get in full in both Henry's AND Victor's flashback
1.3.) then there's the general parallel
in fiction you'll find the trope of the paralleled siblings quite often. one is a nerd the other a jock. goth and prep. popular and loser. stereotypical girly girl and himbo guy. good twin evil twin. the list goes on. and despite Alice seemingly having no greater importance to the narrative than to die we get parallels between her and her evil superpowered brother as well:
we get lines like "sweet innocent Alice" while Henry sits in his spider attic trying to haunt her dreams
and while Henry has his dark closed off attic space we see him mostly in, we see Alice outside (playing like a normal child) in the open air playground on a slide looking like a rocket for some reason
and Alice being backlit even stronger than Will in the van scenes himself while finding the dead rabbit her brother just killed
you can definitely read these two as being opposite coded. Alice being good (not murderous) and also conforming to expectations, not standing out clothing wise like Henry, not trying to break the space-time-continuum because she's scared of societies expectations. being seen as sweet. (which okay to be fair, Victor also thought Henry was sweet so maybe he's not the best judge of character and she could have also been super mean but we'll just go with it for now) and then Henry being the "evil" sibling out to hurt people. who can't conform and then decides to break out of his role (which results in the family murder day). but all this just raises the question again why these two uneven characters even get paralleled to begin with. Alice is just the sister he kills, she's in no way on an equal level to him as far as we know so why does she get to stand as his opposite narratively?
1.4.) and the arguably most on the nose parallel of all
which actually convinced me that there was something going on on my first watch-through -> they fall mirrored behind their father. they face each other, both with their arms bracing the ground bellow. had they fallen any different (as in, had Henry just fallen straight backwards like he already did before dipping sideways for some reason) no one would think anything of it. but alas, they DID fall the same and now were here
Tumblr media
i'm serious this is weird, we're back to them being paralleled and put on an equal level despite the fact that they couldn't be further apart in story relevance, power, and character depth, as far as we know. that's the classic, good sibling evil sibling, yin and yang imagery
(also ignore the image quality pls, i had screenshots and didn't want to go back to get a better one, so you're getting a cropped one sorry u.u)
2.) the reason these parallels are so weird
i talked about this here before. essentially, when analysing film, you obviously look at what you see on screen, that's what you're working with. but in any analysis it's almost More important to ask yourself WHY you're seeing it and didn't get any alternative imagery of the infinite possibilities that could be used to convey the scene. because this always tells you the most about the intention and focus of the writers/directors
as an example: why is the scene in the pizza freezer shot at such a weird angle? they could have done that Any other way. we could have seen the character from behind and had everyone in frame. we could have actually seen El's face. etc. Answer: we didn't get any of the alternative options because they wanted Will to be in frame, he's directly involved in the delivery of the monologue and even prompts it. we don't see Everyone, we don't see El's face. the angle is there because Will's face needs to be in frame
essentially, movie doesn't happen on it's own and parallels are hard to make, you have to pay attention when writing AND shooting AND acting AND editing, etc. they rarely happen on their own or on accident. so now let's apply this to the Creels:
why did Alice even have the weird clunky line about the house being like a dream when we already saw her be excited to move in? why did they spend screentime writing a line that tells in addition to already showing, that's incredibly unnecessary? (not even mentioning that we get the line Twice from both Victor's AND Henry's story. at this point it feels important, because no other lines get repeated like this)
why do they lie on the ground in the same way? Henry was in a prime position of landing on his back when he started falling, but somehow he ends up on his side instead? if any of them were facing in the other direction, were lying on their back, or just had their arms sprawled out wider they wouldn't mirror anymore. but as it is, even the angle their legs have is identical. why would they shoot it like this? why does Henry suddenly parallel his presumed victim? he's a murderous psychic, why is he mirrored to his normal sister here? there were endless ways for them to fall that wouldn't have made them parallel each other and yet here we are
and (almost most important of all imo) why does Henry even have a sister? as in, what narrative benefit is there? to make the Creel's fit more in the nuclear family picture with two instead of one child? maybe, but you still have to work with the characters you add, why does she have so little to do? Victor survives and becomes our narrator. Virginia is the first victim of Henry and antagonised him in life. Alice is... his sister. if they didn't have any role for her to play they could have just excluded her, only-child families existed in the 60s and would still perfectly work with the narrative. so why IS there a sister in the house? to show that Henry just became weird on his own and that his sister managed to turn out alright despite them sharing parents and living in the same house? well, yeah maybe, but now we're already back at the good vs evil sibling set up that directly pits Alice and Henry against each other in a parallel. and you could argue that she was there to make the torment and murder of his family more severe and shocking. except that the only thing we see of her is her waking up from a nightmare and finding the dead rabbit, both things we could have also gotten from the parents and didn't actually need a whole new character for. AND WE DON'T EVEN SEE HER DIE so that's completely wasted the potential of making the murder night seem more brutal or cruel
and actually about that, let's get to the big thing...
3.) the death of Alice Creel - or more specifically WHEN does Alice Creel die? the timeline is WHACK
here we go. the weird part. everything else until now was analysis about the purpose of her character, weird framing and narrative choices, and odd parallels. but now we get to the big thing that genuinely doesn't make sense
why don't we see Alice die on screen?
Virginia died in less than 5 seconds. it's quick since we didn't even see her vision, similar to Patrick. Virginia's death was the fastest we see on the show and we actually see it Twice, both from Victors And Henry's flashback. so why didn't we get a three second shot of Alice falling to the ground in either of the visions? it's a small detail but the more you actually look into it the more nonsensical it gets
we saw all 4 curse victims die. we saw Virginia die (twice). and Henry does kill fast making it a non-screen-time-eater. if they wanted to be original and not show another body hit the ground. why didn't they verbally mention it instead? Henry doesn't even say "and then after i killed my sister i tried to get my dad too". Alice is completely left out of the narrative after Henry begins his familicide mission. we see her suddenly lying unmoving on the floor at some point but we don't see OR hear how she got there - we just have to assume from context clues that it was Henry who did it. which is odd considering Henry only had 3 family members, two of which he killed, but somehow that was too much to show so we just skip it and see one of them die twice instead?
that's all already weird. but there is a bit of an explanation why we don't see it happen. it's because neither Victor OR Henry actually see it happen themselves...
let's look at what happened with Alice as far as we can follow. neither Victor's nor Henry's vision are ever shown to be incorrect. even what we see from Victor only gets backed up later, he's just lacking a literal angle to look at his son. so. what's Alice up to? and when does she end up on the ground?
well from Victor's flashback we learn that she's fine when Victor goes into his vision
Tumblr media
this is less than a second before Victor breaks through the door and falls into the vision. (note Henry being ominously cropped because Victor is biased and we only learn how fucked up and responsible for this Henry is later on) however, we DO see Alice and she looks upset, but fine overall. standing upright, nothing broken, no blood, no possessed Vecna eyes, no levitating. and given that even Virginia's speed killing took roughly 5 seconds she is fine when Victor's vision starts a second later
but then Victor snaps out of his vision after hearing his favourite song, turns around, and both his children are on the ground now
Tumblr media
so. we can infer, Alice died sometime during Victor's vision. she was fine less than a second before he went into it. she was dead when he came out of it. fair enough. of course we didn't see her die in Victor's version of events because he was literally in a trance when she died, makes sense so far
except now we have a problem because how did Henry actually kill her? for real this time. it's no longer just a "why didn't we see it happen"? it's a genuine "how DID this happen?"- because Henry SUCKS as multi tasking with powers! canonically!
that's what leads to him getting flambeed in s4 to begin with. Henry closes his eyes and has to focus to channel his powers. we see it when he does as little as manipulate a clock, then he grows stronger and still needs to close his eyes and zone out when he kills Virginia. he keeps getting stronger with every victim but we even see it years later when he kills as Vecna. despite seeming much stronger, he STILL can't multi task. in order to even just see into someone's mind he has to motionlessly suspend himself in his attic (like a rip off of El's sensory deprivation tanks tbh) and while he visits people he's completely tuned out of his body, making him vulnerable to attacks when the teens visit him in the UD
however, we're left with a situation here where Alice actively died DURING Victor's vision that Henry was actively inflicting on him. which means that Henry killed her while Also trying to kill his father at the same time. so. how did he do that? especially when much stronger adult Henry failed to even have basic awareness of his surroundings when he was in Max's head? and Henry is only 12 in the flashbacks canonically, he's much Much weaker, he also just straight up falls into a coma after struggling to kill his father when the song is making it harder for him. he literally almost died himself here. but he also somehow killed his sister quickly in between without Victor ever escaping the vision???
and when we finally get Henry's pov of that night we still don't see anything clearing Alice's death up. Virginia dies, we cut to the moment right before Victor snaps out of the vision, and then zoom in over Alice who's already on the ground and turn around to look at Henry who's incredibly focused with his eyes closed as he tries to kill Victor. (odd shot choice considering we learn Nothing about Alice here except an acknowledgement of the timeline that yep, she's on the ground again) moments later Henry falls into the coma
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Alice was alive as Victor's vision started and on the ground at the latest very shortly before it ended. so again. WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN?
we already saw enough victims die. we got sped up versions like with Virginia and Patrick where we didn't even have to see the visions. so why did they deem it unnecessary to show us Alice die? did they just forget to have Henry mention he killed her? and what's up with the timeline because as it stands her death is actually impossible:
alive as Henry enters Victor's mind to induce the vision -> unclear what happens as we follow Henry and Victor into the vision -> on the ground seconds before Henry falls into a coma -> dead?
so the only natural conclusion for her death is that... Henry killed her in his first and only feet of successful multi-tasking which we didn't get to see for some reason, and he also never manages to replicate even when teenagers were shooting shotguns at him years later? the timeline makes no sense the way it's presented. Henry would have been physically incapable of killing her Virginia style while fully out of it and focused on his father the way he was. there is either something to Henry's powers we haven't seen yet that allowed him to do this or a whole aspect of that night that we haven't seen yet
but this unanswered question about the timeline that just raises more and more questions actually does answer a different question as said before:
we didn't see Alice die because neither Henry nor Victor saw it either. Victor was in his vision. Henry had his shifting eyes closed as he was in Victor's mind
this doesn't explain at ALL how Alice actually dropped dead on the floor but Does explain why we don't see it. and that's how the entire Creel flashbacks work to begin with. we see what the characters perceived to have happened. narrative bias and all. Victor gives us his account of the demon. Henry adds his attic and murder moments to it later. Henry is able to tell us his father got arrested that night despite already being in a coma because that's something he found out after the fact. Vecna knows Victor is at Pennhurst so he must have found out about his fathers arrest at some point. and with the set up of withholding perspectives from us that the Creel family has, it makes sense we don't see Alice die because everyone is preoccupied as she does so
i would genuinely not be surprised if we got a Third addition to that night (rule of three's am i right) to show us what happened in that time period of Victor's vision we missed. with the theme of unreliable narrators and the fact we're lacking a time frame where BOTH our narrators are completely occupied in which one of the 4 main characters of the scene also Dies raises alarm bells
4.) "so... what? Alice is coming back to tell her story? she's dead."
well yeah. she is. maybe.
i can certainly not blame anyone for assuming Alice is dead, it's a fair assumption because that's what's conveyed to us on screen. however, with a show that enjoys fucking with perception and perspective as much as ST... well we can certainly question if the dead body we see is actually dead or if our pov characters are just mislead. especially when there are other things standing out as odd
also just adding here: Alice being dead or not has nothing to do with the previous points listed. they all raise questions on their own. her death is just the final addition to the long list of what the fuck is up with Alice Creel? and the fact even her Death is questionable is why people think she might return to tell her side of the story (be that as Karen Wheeler, other characters we know, or just Random-WomanTM)
so Alice is dead right? we see it right here. but the thing is. why does she look nothing like ANY of the other Vecna victims we saw. and it's not like we shouldn't notice the differences since we just saw Virginia die a typical Vecna death in the scene prior
Tumblr media Tumblr media
they both bleed from their eyes alright, which both appear to be dark. good. first similarity checked off
now we have the problem that nothing else matches anymore. Alice is the only dead victim that has her mouth closed for some reason. Vecna makes a big show of breaking every bone in his victim's bodies before pushing their eyes in, the limbs and JAR being the most jarring part (haha funny) Patrick, Crissy, Fred, Virginia, all have their mouths open (even in Vecna's mind dimension. the bodies' jaws remain open and broken grotesquely). the only other person we see with a still intact jaw was Max who just as a reminder wasn't dead and actually survived her encounter with Vecna. she died of her injuries right after. but she survived the Vecna'ing itself and her jaw was unbroken, just as Alice's
and as we see with Max, bleeding from your eyes itself actually doesn't kill you. it's the general trauma to the body and that kills you if you survive the initial vecna'ing
but that's not where the weird surrounding Alice Creel ends. because Alice doesn't have that severe physical trauma, she is the LEAST injured Vecna victim we see on the whole show. it's not just her jaw, that is just the most obvious body part we see still intact in the closeup. you know how Henry makes a big deal of snapping every bone in people's bodies even as a tiny child killing his mother? well he kind of forgot to do that with Alice
Tumblr media
we spent the entire season seeing the mangled corpses of Vecna's victims including Virginia on the dinner table seconds before this, so why are Alice's bones not snapped like toothpicks?
her left arm is clearly broken, bent behind her back. but that's it. her right arm is completely fine which we can see even better than her left arm because it's laid out on the floor. both her legs have a natural angle (Henry was literally laying just like her until Victor picked him up so those are definitely all good) and again, her jaw is fine too. so. why is Alice not horribly disfigured? she's lying still, that's infinitely easier to CGI than the falling and floating corpses of all the other victims that DO get their bones snapped. so why didn't they animate her other arm to be broken for example or even just used practical effects since she isn't moving to begin with. it's not like they forgot since her left arm IS broken, they just didn't go all the way here for some reason
again, look at her and compare her to every other Vecna victim we saw. these are SURVIVABLE injuries. she's bleeding from her eyes and her left arm is broken. Max died from the shock and culmination of her injuries. Alice would not die from a broken arm. the only possibility for Alice to die here is if Henry straight up stopped her heart and did so BEFORE breaking any bones. which would also be something we haven't seen him do before
taking all this into account. let's make up a scenario where Alice could have actually gotten injured and died during that night:
Henry was busy killing his father. Alice asked him what the fuck he was doing being a little weirdo standing around with his eyes closed and shifting all over the place, right after their mother died and their father was standing around like a statue. and then Henry killed her quickly without exiting his father's vision, which he somehow managed to do but which was still hard for him so he couldn't break any of her bones. but he still managed to take her life by injuring her heart or brain instead of any physical body parts for once. and then Henry fell into a coma when he tried to fully focus on his father again
and this is actually the only way this night could have gone down when taking all we know into account. Alice had to have died during Victor's vision. Henry was busy focusing on the vision. Alice presumably dies with little injuries and for no reason we're told or shown
but then why didn't we see it? it does sound straight forward, so why not show it? well as of now we're literally lacking a perspective of someone who Wasn't mentally hanging out in Victor's vision
"but how would Alice return, she'd at least be blind" well yeah? maybe? but also, again, this is stranger things. they fuck with the narrative all the time. we're missing a full season before we have the full story. we saw Hopper standing in a collapsing room only to learn he didn't die in there the next season. we see Henry lie on the ground with his sister, Eddie's uncle and the newspaper all tell us he died, only to then find out he was very much still alive at the end of the season. could Alice be blind if she survived? yes. could her eyes have recovered? potentially? we don't even know how severely she got hurt in the first place so Anything could be revealed about her in the next season
"but the papers said she died" that one is actually a fully invalid point. they also wrote Henry died. they didn't even know Henry was in a coma, we learn that from Victor. the papers also thought Will died And was found by Hopper in a cabin which were both incorrect. (the paper in Hawkins generally doesn't have the best track record to be honest) so the paper saying Alice died in the same breath they claim Henry died isn't really the most convincing thing
"but Victor only said Henry fell into a coma, that means Alice had to have been dead" well, again, maybe. or he just thought she had died. the Creel narrative we see with Victor and Henry is literally about unreliable narrators and perspectives. Victor for sure thought she was dead, but if she actually was... well we can at least question it with the odd details the show includes
if you want to believe that what we're shown on screen is the truth and Alice is dead that's fair enough. however, with the track record the show has it's not an out there assumption to slightly question how correct the characters are in assuming her death
"but everyone said the demon/Victor took his families eyes, you can't survive that" yeah but that's also wrong. back to the Hawkins-newspaper slander. everyone talks about the whole family's eyes being taken when we Know that's not what happened. Henry's eyes are more than fine. Alice's eyes don't look to good but it doesn't look deadly on it's own honestly. Max was still able to communicate clearly with both her eyes injured by Vecna, even El is constantly shown bleeding from her eyes when using her powers. whether Alice's eyes are gone or just injured, it does not appear to be a deadly injury on it's own
so TLDR as it stands now:
Alice Creel is Weird. straight up. her entire purpose in the narrative is questionable. it seems like she's just there to be the cute innocent girl that dies to make it more tragic at first but then we don't even see her die. to top it off, her lack of a death scene actually happens because it's off screen in a gap in the timeline. so she dies in an unlikely circumstance, in an unknown situation, and with the least injuries we've ever seen on one of Henry's victims.
assuming she is dead because of her bleeding dark eyes is fair. but there's enough discrepancies to seriously question what we're looking at
could she be dead? sure. but could she be alive? well, i'm going to say yes. ST loves subverting expectations and misleads. s4 was all about misleads. the Creel story, the story of the lab. all stories that give the viewer a false perception of reality, not by showing lies, but simply by withholding information. and the idea that Alice could have survived her minimal injuries is not unlikely with what we're used to by now

Reading you post about Seth made me imagine a world where Ryu winds up taking Seth on as a student. I thought Ryu's journey to overcome the Satsui no Hado could give him insight on how to help Seth overcome their own hatred, and meta-textually, becoming the main character student is about as far from trying to be the final boss that you can be
Hmm, you know, that is frankly pretty damn inspired and I don't think it's something we've ever really seen before in a fighting game, a former final boss getting kicked so far down the ladder that they wind up being the main character's student. It's the kind of sheer indignity and downgrade that would destroy most villains, but also, you can't destroy or make Seth less dignified than they already are, and their SFV story opens up a number of possibilities to take them afterwards if brought back. There's even some existing parallels between Seth and Akuma that could be worked into this, and Seth's already dropped out of official villain status enough to not be missed as one.
Tumblr media
Main issue I have with this though is that "Final Boss gets beaten by Ryu, changes himself to become more like Ryu, and becomes a redeemed pseudo-ally to Ryu while still being plenty intimidating and arrogant to stay in in-character and remind you they used to be a Final Boss" is already very much Sagat's thing and you are never, ever, on your best day, not coming up short next to Sagat. Honestly even Akuma started heading there a bit in V. And it works for them because their appeal as characters isn't really mandated by them remaining full-on villains, they are cool badasses who get to sit in more morally grey clubs. Seth's humiliated and tragic aspect is what sets them apart from all the other main villains and I wouldn't want to see it done away with, but you can't really have them stay static, especially with 6 being serious about developing and pushing all of the characters forward in a way the series never really did before.
I've never been super in love with the idea of Ryu sitting down and training a new character to take his place, part of why I'm glad that Sakura turned out the way she did and that both her and Ryu were freed from the burden of the most tired story idea you could possibly think of with them. But there is a world of difference between "Ryu mentors a rookie who looks up to him into a new fighter because, idk he's just nice like that", and "Ryu has to mentor a monster that once tried to kill him and lay waste to the world with his exact power, to help them as he was helped and try to stop them from being consumed by hatred just as he once was". The former is just, eh, you can get a decent version of that by playing World Tour, but the latter, well, there's a pitch there, there's stakes, there's a story worth telling.
Ryu putting himself on the line, abdicating from his journey, possibly getting on really bad terms with people he knows (Is Chun-Li gonna be okay with this after all the work she put into destroying Shadaloo for good? what about Ken, who's JUST had his life ruined to shit by Shadaloo leftovers, how's he gonna feel? At minimum he's gonna have C.Viper and Juri and Abel and Guile on his ass 24/7 because they are not letting this pass), to stop the Shadaloo-Satsui cycles of violence and help a victim of them who can't be trusted, but also can't get up on their own and has no one even trying to save them, no one. Ryu had Ken, he had friends, he has Sagat to eternally remind him of the consequences and push him to be a better man, he had Dhalsim, he had Gouken (which I think was too much, old man should have stayed dead, not a single story in the franchise wouldn't be better served by Gouken staying dead), in the manga he even had Birdie and I like that so it happened shut up, where as Seth has nothing and no one other than people who tried to use them, and people who very justifiably think Seth needs to stay dead and only endangers others by being alive.
Nobody on the planet is gonna think Seth is remotely worth the effort of saving, except for Ryu, who wouldn't wish what they're going through even on his worst enemy. There's like an interesting tension here, of whether Ryu is doing something incredibly stupid because he doesn't understand firsthand what Shadaloo scum are actually like and is just empowering a monster to kill them all eventually (something that Guile would probably say to him), whether he's just trying to help someone the way he wishes he'd been helped and not thinking about the risk, whether he's actually being very practical because redeeming Seth is a net positive for humanity that only he can achieve (well really it should be Dhalsim and Gouken's jobs but, they can't be fucked), how much of this is him acting from pure kindness versus a pragmatic understanding that he is in a position to stop the next Akuma or Bison from forming even if no one is gonna help him do it, the toil it takes on him, and so on.
Again, there's a story here. Not sure if I'd want this like, canonically, but there's something really good here. That could be as good a justification as there ever was for a story to remind us why Ryu is the Hero even when they're not actively at the center of things.

Favorite Weather
The Lost Boys
David
Stormy
Tbh he just likes that it fits his aesthetic
Doesn’t like rain though
Sound of thunder actually soothes him
he likes the image of lightning casting light over the closed boardwalk
Feels like the clouds make the sign lights brighter
Loves to hunt in stormy weather bc victims are more likely to write of noises as part of the storm
Dwayne
Overcast
Has realized that if he times it right and finds the right spot he’s able to be outside for sunset theses days
He doesn’t do it often bc, ya know, if he’s wrong about a spot he dies, but when he misses his human life he will
Even though the clouds block most of it he still thinks sunsets look pretty on these days
Hasn’t told the others he learned this bc he’s scared they’d mess up and die
If Max had gotten his way he’d have shown Lucy (maybe sam) this to cheer them up on day
Marko
Stormy
Same as David but he thinks the rain adds to the vibe
He has a different jacket he wears on nights when he knows it’ll storm so he doesn’t ruin the main one
He’s a sadistic fuck who enjoys watching ppl freak out about storms
Literally cackles when a rando screams after lightning and thunder
LOVES hunting these nights
Sometimes kills extra ppl because he gets the most excited when prey tries to run and likes the extra challenge of seeing through the storm
With his heightened senses it isn’t really that much harder though
I feel like he wouldn’t try to get stuck by lightning, but wants to see if he could handle it
Star
Rainy
She loves the smell of rain
Will run around in the rain
Doesn’t matter if it’s a drizzle or it’s pouring she gets a wave of freedom from it
Convinces Paul, Marko, and Michael to do it with her once, only Paul was willing to do it again
Paul
Rainy
He’s actually a lot like Star: likes running around
Rain is one of the only things he’s ok with ruining his hair
It’s the closest thing he gets to a shower
Star and him help fix each other’s hair afterwards
Likes making The others get wet bc he likes seeing their hair messed up so he can ask to help fix it
Purposely splashes ppl with water when riding his bike
Also jumps in puddles with laddie and Marko (Marko leaves the jacket at the cave tho)
Likes hunting in pouring rain bc it washes most the blood of and victims struggle running more
Michael
Clear Sky
It just feels fresh to him
Idk how to explain it but like hot and cold air has feelings to them and Michael would be more sensitive to that than others
there’s nothing making it cold but not enough sun for it to be hot and he is in such a good mood those days
Sam
Snowy
He never got to see snow in Arizona and he LOVES it
Has always wanted to build a snowman and plans to at least visit a place with a ton of snow just to do it
He runs hot so it’s a nice change of pace
Always got jealous that other states got days of bc of snow ins
Edgar
Clear Sky
If there is nothing in the sky that means vampire have no cover
He’s one of those ppl who gets really cranky when he’s hot or cold so sunny days suck for him and everyone near him forced to listen to his complaining ass all day
Alan
Sunny
Like Edgar it means no vampires
DOES enjoy hot weather
He likes just a like bit of heat on his skin but not enough to sweat
When he is at the beach he definitely tans for at least 30 minutes
Lucy
Sunny
She likes how light reflects off water, how it reacts with stained glass decor, literally everything is prettier to her when the sun shines on it
Enjoys sitting on the porch or the deck and feeling the warmth on her face
Reminds her of the good parts of her life in Arizona: pool days, eating popsicles with her sons, and even staying in with the air conditioner blasting while she and the boys play a board game
Max
Foggy
I feel like he was originally turned on a foggy night so he sees them as good luck now
He definitely turned David on a foggy day too and sense it was the first success it only adds to this ^^^
Victims struggle to escape more
Easy to sneak up on ppl
Grandpa Emerson
Cloudy
Honesty I don’t know why
It’s his vibe
Like Michael he’s sensitive to weather but it’s worse with heat so he likes the sun blocked
Laddie
Drizzling
Doesn’t like rain but gets excited for the rainbow afterwards
He always starts off upset when it rains heavily but the boys cheer him up and he ends up enjoying it
Hates going on the bikes in heavy rain bc it splashed but when it drizzles it’s just enough to feel refreshing
He does just wait inside the cave for it to stop most times

Erm hello ^^!!
Daki and Gyutaro x Fem reader
Fem reader makes origami and Daki and Gyutaro saw her make them then they want to try it out for themselves out of curiosity
Fem reader is a demon that is uppermoon rank but she isn't interested in joining them (no matter how many times Daki pestered her to join) because she doesn't like being controlled.
Fem reader is also ego centric (and arrogant) here and there but not always sometimes she can be very kind when she does things she likes such as making origami and being with her lover.
Origami
𖥔 Gyutaro & Daki x F!Reader
𖥔 Synopsis: Time with the origami demon
𖥔 What's in the web: minor character death, mostly platonic
𖥔 A/n: I didn't understand the part with the lover so I'm probably keeping it platonic. Reblogs are Appreciated!
Tumblr media
Soft breezes pushed the colorful paper off the rooftop of the mansion, a sigh left your lips as they finally reached the bottom. The paper is being bent one more time, yet this time into a crane. You threw the crane over the edge, watching it fall.
The crane gracefully fell, then finally flapping its wings, her face lighting up upon seeing it as it fell onto the ground. She bent down to reach it and played with it, moving it in her hand and caressing at it. After a while, it sat in her hand, not before expanding and wrapping around her.
Gracefully, she fell into the floor and onto the roof where you sat. And afterwards? Let's say she went missing.
You roamed around the high-class grounds, where rumors that they were much better tasting, yet none of the other demons acted upon it. So, now you were here, watching your origami pieces float away to the red-district.
They always went there when the wind was rough, but sometimes victims were much harder to catch because of it. There it was, a disturbance in your area, the paper spider's thread around your hand shivered with distress.
You stayed on the roof, eyes on the rooftops just in case it was one of those Hashiras. Maybe one of them finally found you after all these years. How so? You were considered to be an uppermoon, yet no one could get you, not even Muzan who sent multiple threats to you, but never acted upon them.
"What bothersome Hashira is gonna come now?" You groaned as you quickly prepared a few paper lotus and hexagons.
You lowered yourself to the roof of the mansion, hiding your position as much as possible. It was like time stopped, two demons rose from the ground and up to the roof of another mansion, just a ways away from you.
"Muzan's lackies? Hah!" You laughed. "What a pathetic sight. He finally attacked after all these years. "
You stood back up and looked at them as they noticed you. Their eyes widening at the sight of you, ripped yukata with paper figures surrounding you. They came slowly, almost as if they were curious about you.
Once they arrived at the mansion you were standing on, they took glances at you then at the paper. You looked down at your feet, stepping on the colorful paper then back at them with a confused expression.
"What do you want?" You asked, eyes glaring at the two demons.
"What are those?" The girl asked. "Did you make those creatures with the paper?"
"Of course, she did. Hey! How'd ya make them?" The man barked.
You looked down then back up at them, they seemed relatively new. Like they didn't know you could kill them at any time for overstepping your boundary. A sigh left your lips as you reached down to grab a small pink square.
"I'll show you how to make a crane, BUT- you have to stay out of my territory. Understand?"
They nodded as they sat down and looked at you impatiently, the girl was like a child while the man looked like he was dragged here. You slid two pieces of paper in their direction, both of them fighting over the color.
"You want to start with the white side facing you, fold the top corner to the bottom corner, you can grab any corner. The color will then be facing you. Now, fold the right corner to the left corner. You got it."
They both nodded as they held the folded papers in their hands.
'What a pathetic sight to see myself in, teaching two people how to make origami. How sad.' You thought as you started instructing once more.
"You're really strong, (Y/n)." Daki pestered. "Maybe you should-"
"Daki." You stopped her. "I'm not joining Muzan now matter how hard he tries, I do not wished to be controlled by a freak."
Daki pouted and grabbed a paper lotus and prodded at it.
"Hey, (Y/n)" She spoke out, already bored of the one second silence. "Why do you like origami so much?"
You looked down at the street vendors at the red-district, visiting both of them after a long time, questioning how to answer.
"I suppose I just loved it. My parents thought I was insane staying inside and messing with the paper."
"When you were..."
"Yeah..."
Gyuutaro listened in, watching your moves and your hands, now steadying themselves to finish Daki's heart request.
"You know Muzan is coming for us, right?" Gyuutaro stepped in.
"I know," You responded, a somber look on your face as you held the heart in your hand, "but that doesn't mean he can do that to you again. I don't want that for both of you."

Louis has just eked into confirmation for the Magnificent Bastard trope alongside William and Albert. Here's my argument for him:
The Work
Moriarty the Patriot is (still) a (very loose) retelling of the Sherlock Holmes stories combined with James Bond set in the late 1800s, focused on Professor James Moriarty and exploring his motivations.
The Character
This post is to open a discussion on Louis James Moriarty, Professor Moriarty's younger brother and one of his Co-Dragons.
Louis primarily handles the estate and household management early on in the series until he demands to have a more active role in the "murdering people" business, and eventually takes over both of his older brothers' roles leading all of the Moriarty criminal subordinates as the head of MI6, and quite frankly does a better job than either of them.
Louis rounds out the brothers sharing the title "The Lord of Crime" as James Moriarty.
This argument is primarily manga-focused, because while he does become M in the anime, it's in the last episode so we never see any of it, and Albert was never involved.
Why Is He a Bastard
Aside from the murdering (which is fairly standard in the series, if not seen as "good"), Louis has a line in one of the early arcs where he says the only emotion he had about murdering an entire household of people was "perhaps a sense of relief," which is pretty stark compared to his older brothers discussing vomiting afterward and otherwise spiraling into My God, What Have I Done? land.
Louis recognizes what he's doing is wrong, but he actively demands to be allowed to participate in the killing. While both his brothers have guilt complexes, Louis just really doesn't.
But Not That Bad?
Once again, we have a Pay Evil unto Evil character here. Louis is a fiercely protective soul, and he sees what he's doing as simply the most practical method. And he largely wants to participate in the killing because he wants to be closer to his brothers, by whatever means necessary. He's the quickest to realize that they need to atone and the first to pick a path by which to do so.
Is He Charming/Magnificent
Louis is a much more practical soul than either of his brothers and less inclined to theatrics, but he still has some flair. Unlike his brothers, Louis doesn't crib his plans out of books or plays he's read and adapt them. He can act, but he'd rather things simply go quickly and neatly with a minimum of fuss.
He handles issues as they come up with a level head to prevent them from growing into larger ones: both with contemplating killing Sherlock early on instead of toying with him, and things like intervening and distracting their targets so the rest of his team has time to finish their work. He also burns his own face in order to sell the story that they were merely victims of the mansion fire that killed a house full of servants and the rest of the Moriartys.
Louis is not a man who plays around with his opponents. Louis is a man who executes, intelligently, well, and with no hesitation.
I feel like "tying things up so neatly no one uninvolved even realized there was a problem," is its own style.
He also holds together the vast majority of their criminal enterprise without either of his brothers to help.
He has his own magnetism. It just looks very different from the dramatic Shakespeare fanboys. After the Time Skip, Louis is said to resemble his older brother William, king of drama and flair, no fewer than three times.
And if we're counting fan popularity here, he ranks just below his brothers there.
But Is He Brilliant?
Yes.
While Louis is often quite subordinate to William and has a serious case of Big Brother Worship, Louis is one of the few members of the team willing to argue with William's plans and point out potential flaws—and has been as early as their childhood. While Albert sees opportunities for success and grabs at them, Louis sees the opportunities for hideous failure and squashes them.
Again, Louis managed to hold MI6 together without any help for three years—which is more than Albert was capable of. And he starts issuing orders to his brothers as soon as they return.
What About His Competition?
Louis spends most of the series in his older brother's shadows, and once he commits to Taking Up the Mantle himself, most of the major players opposing them are gone. He never goes head-to-head with a proper hero or villain himself and mostly finds himself embroiled in more complicated, less clear-cut issues when he leads.
He does go head-to-head with Moran to bring Moran back into the fold?
Verdict and Mitigating Factors:
I did make this post, so I think Louis has a solid case. I think he's Got It, just in a different way than this particular series likes to go about it.
Louis is maybe more of a 7 out of 10 on a couple of the qualifiers. He sort of grows into the role, unlike his brothers, who start there.
He's perhaps not a dead ringer, but I vote yes.

do tell your realization pleasepls
hoffman and strahm from saw are like. a perfect kismessitude. IM GONNA RANT ABOUT IT UNDER THE CUT ACTUALLY . spoilers for saw and tw for. well gore violence and death
so so. mark hoffman is a jigsaw apprentice. like he puts people on traps. "i want to play a game" and all that. he's also a detective!! he's the one grabbing info about potential victims (as jigsaw targets people who he thinks don't value their lives, and people with criminal records do unfortunately mostly meet that idea to him) and since he's been on the jigsaw investigation since the beginning he also purposefully screws up and leads them away from the truth.
but eventually the case gets too big and the fbi gets involved, that's where strahm comes in. this all happens at the beginning of saw iv, and this movie and the next one have strahm as a central character (saw v more)
the thing is, as of saw iv, we don't actually know hoffman is an apprentice, so when he gets "kidnapped" and put in a trap you go like :O. strahm and his partner pérez attempt to stop the game that's taking place but they don't manage to. they do get very close, but a lot of jigsaws thing is to read people and so he sets a trap for agent pérez and apparently kills her. strahm loses it and practically forces the location of the game from jigsaw's ex wife and then goes there, but by the time he arrives the game is over. it turns out saw iv and saw iii happen at the same time so the only one left is saw iii's protagonist, who has just murdered jigsaw. then we also find out about hoffman who leaves his coworker (the guy in the game) to die and shuts strahm in
saw v starts right afterwards and strahm starts exploring the place despite being warned not to, so hoffman (in disguise as pig mask) attacks him, knocks him out, and puts him in an unbeatable trap: a cube around his head slowly filling with water. strahms pockets are emptied and he can move his arms and legs but can't unlock or break the cube. but he survives because he finds a pen in his pocket and performs a tracheostomy on himself (some people theorize that hoffman left it there on purpose to see if strahm could survive. but i dont think so because the look he gives him when he sees strahm survived...)
THATS WHEN THEY GET ALL BLACKROM. strahm realizes quite early that hoffman is jigsaw, he can't prove it but he knows so he gets obsessed with hoffman. at the same time there's another game going but strahm was removed from the investigation. half the movie is strahm tracing hoffman's steps and imagining him standing there as well and trying to imagine what he did and cursing him under his breath it's so funny he's obsessed OBSESSED.
eventually he tracks down hoffman to a room with an open coffin with glass on it where a tape plays and addresses him by name, which means there's a trap and it's for him. hoffman walks into the room mid-tape SYRINGE IN HAND ((they use the syringes to knock people out, people theorize he wanted to catch strahm off guard and try to talk him into joining him)) and they get into a fight. atp the tape has only said that the coffin is the room's safe stop, and that pain is granted but it means survival. usually the tapes give out hints on how to survive but this one wasn't done. strahm wins the fight and locks hoffman into the coffin, thinking that means he just trapped hoffman in his own trap. the door locks and the walls starting closing in. strahm demands hoffman to tell him how to open it, hoffman points to the tape.
BECAUSE STRAHM'S TEST WAS TO TRUST HOFFMAN. it says "I ask you, agent strahm. have you learnt enough to trust me?". strahm tries to survive, he yells at hoffman "i know what you are, I know" and "i got you", tries to climb the walls and all... his arm snaps, his blood falls on the coffin which was being lowered into the ground, the way the entire scene is shot is.... I cant explain you have to see it. then saw v ends with strahm dying but he haunts the narrative for saw vi. hoffman keeps his hand and carries it around. he frames him for his own crimes. perez turns out to be alive and suspects hoffman the entire time. after strahm's death hoffman becomes much more brutal almost like his humanity died with him.
they hate each other they are obsessed with each other they know the other so well they can predict what they will do they look at each other like they want to eat them alive (especially hoffman) they are narrative foils strahm haunts hoffman's narrative after he dies. kismessitude at its finest.

tasks
(part 1 of a series of posts about tsukishima hajime)
tsurumi puts tsukishima up to the worst tasks. he does not shy away from having tsukishima do anything that needs to be done. tsukishima does his work skillfully and without complaint because his will has been broken. let's examine some of that dirty work.
thinking back to the first arc where tsukishima was important to the plot... when tsurumi was pursuing edogai (volume 8, chapter 71), tsukishima told nikaidou that tsurumi had him dig up a grave in yubari to see if the corpse had coded tattoos. it was only mentioned in passing, but that task sucks. i bet he had to do it in the dead of night and then neatly fill in the grave again afterward. (granted, it would have been worse if the coffin wasn't empty.) a little later, tsukishima was given the task of overseeing edogai as he made the counterfeit skins and ensuring that the skins made it safely to tsurumi. setting aside all of the strangeness of edogai's hobby that he had to kindly overlook as an extension of tsurumi's good will, the task became incredibly rough! his comrade maeyama was killed by ogata! ogata tried to kill him! super scary sugimoto the immortal tried to kill him! there was a gunfight in moving minecarts! two explosions! deadly suffocating gas! he watched poor edogai-kun die horribly! tsukishima came very, very close to dying! and his clothes got all dirty with coal :( sure, he survived thanks to his incredible toughness, and tsurumi praised him at the end, but praise for a job well done can only take you so far. tsukishima must have questioned on some level whether it was worth it. his loyalty to tsurumi is incredibly deep, but loyalty and enthusiasm are two different things. tsukishima is unique in that his loyalty dial is turned all the way up and his enthusiasm dial is turned almost all the way down. (koito's enthusiasm dial is turned all the way up.)
going further back in time (but forward in the story)... around chapter 200, we see that tsurumi had tsukishima play a central role in staging a violent kidnapping. tsukishima, ogata, and kikuta had to kidnap a child, take care of him for like 3 days while pretending to be russian, find some russian prisoners to act as stand-ins, sneak them out of prison, bring them to the appropriate places, dress them up, and kill them at the appropriate times— all as part of the tsurumi theater. it wasn't tsukishima alone this time, but that task really fucking sucks. for everyone involved except tsurumi. you really can't overstate it.
and was tsurumi the one who assigned tsukishima to be koito's sergeant advisor? if so, that was another difficult task, because it forced tsukishima to pretend that the two of them hadn't already met as kidnapper and victim. but maybe helping cover up his sweet lies is among the least offensive tasks tsurumi assigns. after all, all you have to do is lie more...
the only task tsukishima complains about is having to serve as koito's interpreter when talking to tsurumi, and he only complains about it inside his own head. he really is stoic.
when tsukishima and koito became inseparable (narratively), koito began to take part in tsukishima's unpleasant tasks as well. in volume 14, tsurumi brought the two of them to abashiri to help him achieve the explicit goal of leaving no surviving witnesses. that was a really fucked up, unpleasant, and morally abhorrent task. that's just a massacre. and they achieved that goal, more or less. a little later, sending tsukishima and koito to karafuto with sugimoto was also a rough assignment (traversing unfamiliar northern lands during the winter, chasing a moving target, pursuing a dangerous soldier and a dangerous partisan and shiraishi) that left both of them seriously injured (tsukishima's explosion injury to the neck, koito stabbed through the arm and the chest). but maybe that task in particular ended up being worthwhile for tsukishima and koito, because during their trip, they grew closer to each other and realized that much of the pain they had endured could be laid at tsurumi's feet. they were able to share in their growing doubts about tsurumi and get a clearer view of the whole situation.
another task that fell to tsukishima was bringing the peepee bottle to and from bedridden koito after sugimoto stabbed him. did everyone notice the peepee bottle? in volume 23, chapter 223, we see tsukishima holding the bottle that is specially made for peeing into. i'm pretty sure it reappears at least one other time. when i first saw it, i didn't understand what it was (i thought it might be like... some kind of feeding implement?), but now i have learned it is called a shibin 尿瓶 (尿 shi means pee, 瓶 bin means bottle) and it's a bottle for bedridden people to pee into. i would love to see the discussion that ended in tsukishima agreeing to do that. i mean, they're in a hospital. there are orderlies who could carry the pee bottle, right? anyone else could do it. but the one transporting the pee bottle is sergeant tsukishima. you have to wonder, would tsurumi really delegate that task to him? or the other question could be, would tsukishima do that without being asked to? does he think such a thing would just be expected of him? is his self-esteem so low that he wouldn't see such a task as below him? or... is it love 😳
an especially troublesome task that tsurumi seems to have assigned to tsukishima was guarding the pregnant hostage inkarmat, which came to a head around chapter 230. however, it's not clear exactly what tsurumi instructed him to do and what tsukishima may have come up with on his own. when you do dirty work for 10 years, maybe every task becomes a little dirtier in your mind, and you start leaning more toward violence as a default. would tsurumi really have explicitly told tsukishima that if tanigaki tries to rescue inkarmat, tsukishima should kill them both? or did tsurumi just make it clear that inkarmat was being held hostage without giving any further instructions, and it was tsukishima who decided how important it is to follow up on threats? i don't think it was ever spelled out clearly. in the end, that was the first dirty work task from which koito was able to save tsukishima (by using his authority to stop him) and the first time the two of them explicitly defied tsurumi together.
it is a testament to tsukishima's broken spirit that he remained loyal to tsurumi to the very end, despite all the dirty work he put him up to, even after tsurumi disappeared into hakodate bay. but tsukishima was saved by koito's own loyalty to him, and by the end of the story, it seems like happiness is within his reach.

Hi Moon!
Mind telling me about your newest rebornverse ocs OvO
This kinda turned into a masterpost ngl. That’s because even the ones you know have changed a lot. The ones you know feel like different characters compared to now so I think some reintroductions are in order too ^^
13.5 spoilers + big oc post below.
Stella “Fate” Aquila (she/her - 16 years old): Interceptor of Forgiveness and the Paragon of Fairytaleverse. Her host is Alain. She’s a fae from a whole another world. She got caught in a dimension portal and was saved by Variya if she agreed to become an interceptor. She had little clue about pokemon when she first arrived but quickly grew. Unknown to her, she’s meant to stop the damages done and left over renegade data by Lucifer after he reset the world. She suffers from visions of renegade but uses these to help her. She can speak to fairy type pokemon.
Lucifer Nash (he/him - 12 years old): Interceptor of Absolution and Renegade of the Fairytaleverse. His host is Axel. Coming from Aryith and a decesendent of ancient dragon tamers, he was killed by a Sawsbuck when running away from home and picked up as soul by Variya. He is very knowledgeable in dragon type pokemon and runs a dragon sandstorm team. Eventually comes to regret his actions in renegade. Creating Angel, a virus in Zeight, he resets the world and deletes himself. Despite it having not shown up in generations he has the ability to speak to dragon types like his old ancestors could.
Hero Farrell (they/them - 18-19 years old): Interceptor of Acceptance (paragon) OR Denial (renegade). Their host is Aevis. Hero is an old Gurafan Volunteer and in fact, they were seen as the person who could’ve saved them all. The Archetype gave them the power of ‘debug’ they can do anything you can with debug, provided they have the energy. This didn’t come without consequences as they became HOH and much much physically weaker. Their power was also unstable. They were to be put into a simulation so they could safely explore their powers. However, Variya saw they were being trained to become a mass weapon. So she tampered with Hero’s pod, leading them to get shocked to death. Later, Variya would use Hero’s soul to replace Aevis. Unfortunately, Hero has no memories of their death and believes Aevium to be the simulation. Not apart of Fairytaleverse unlike everyone else. They vibe alone.
Altair “Calamity” Aquila (he/him - 32-33 years old): Fate’s older brother and also a fae from the same world. He came to Aevium purposefully in order to look for Fate once he learned what happened to her. He typically uses his illusion magic to hide his fae features from the public. He ran into Clear and Kieran who promised to help him find and save Fate as long as he helped them. Unfortunately he was played and as of the end of karma files he’s been captured alongside Mosely and Reigna. His wings were torn off too, in order to stop him from being able to fight off his former companions. He doesn’t appear in Renegade of the Fairytaleverse. Also, like Fate, he can speak to fairy type pokemon.
Sylvester (he/she - unknown age, appears to be in his 30s): A servant of Nymeria and Vitus, created a bit after Kanon. Sylvester was found with Hazuki after the battle under Hiyoshi. However, he had no memories of the events and evacuated Storm 9 with Hazuki and Thomas Sr. Sylvester stayed with Hazuki afterwards, becoming a personal butler to the Blakeory’s. First met in Blacksteeple castle, having also been a victim of Xen’s kidnapping. Though, she’s also apart of the early appearance scene with Hazuki and Lavender. She’s has a Gardevior in Fairytaleverse’s renegade but in Paragon it becomes a Iron Valiant.
Rosemary Marsh (they/them - 28 years): Rosemary is the leader of Darchlight Village. They were born in Alamissa Urben and was apart of the friend group with Damien, Alex, Adam, Ryland, Karen and Aurora. However they moved at 13. Their parents are actually the couple who took in Crescent. So they have some history with her, which in turn had gotten them interested in the group upon learning she attacked them from Sylvester. They become the Grass Reserve leader after Flora’s arrest too. They also become the Gym Leader in Fairytaleverse Renegade. Given their role and their relationships with other characters they’re the most aware that something is wrong….In renegade they have a Amonguss and in paragon they have a Brute Bonnet.
Aurora Vale (she/her - 28 years old): Aurora is a high ranking Deathwing of Xen with a big love for bird pokemon. She is often put into leadership roles, such as leading the Akuwa abduction. She also often takes it upon herself to help struggling members like Shanon and Eli. Nastasia asked for her help during chapter 14 as well. Which ended awkwardly….as Aurora is childhood friends with the Sashila gang….In renegade she has a Delibird but in paragon she has an Iron Bundle.
Angel (its/it - appearance of a 13 year old): Angel is the virus that was created by Lucifer that infects Zeight. It holds all the data of renegade and is protecting it until it’s time. Angel has a secret rift form for when it is attacked. It’s very existence is the major reason for there being so many inconsistencies within Fairytaleverse. It cannot leave Zeight usually, though it can speak to Fate from it and give her visions. In rare cases it can appear when things get especially fucky within the timeline. It’s goal is to guide Fate onto paragon and keep it like that. Angel doesn’t appear in renegade and in paragon Angel replaces Nancy as the administrator.
