HUGE GIFT DUMP #1

So for the last two days I've been doodling art for AU's that I admire/ enjoy. I'm not finished with all my doodles but wanted to post what I have finished so far

I have no self restraint and was dying to show these off

I basically went through my animation meme playlist and found a song for each doodle. You'll see the name of the chosen song and the au I paired it with.

Some songs might not fit at first glance. But I assure you the amv I had in my head makes them work.

Sleuth Jesters - @naffeclipse

Candle Queen by GHOST. This one is kinda obvious as to why I chose it. If you've heard the song and have read the fics you'll understand immediately.

Space AI AU - @bones-of-a-rabbit

Loosing my mind by Mystery skulls. I like the narrative of good people doing bad things for a good purpose. It fuels me so much. I'd think that after having their heart completely crushed by sun and moon, Y/N would be more unstable that usual. Promoting me to choose this song. I just enjoy them being kinda passive aggressive towards sun and moon because they're hurting.

Also have I mentioned I love their design? BECAUSE I REALLY DO LOVE IT!!

Nightmare AU - @opudontdonut

Happy pills by Weathers. This one is one of the few I had an idea for to make the song choice work.

I just wanna quickly add a TW for drug abuse. If this upsets you skip past the next chapter.

(Inspired by the prompt writing "I'm tired of being tired" that @/paper-lilypie made)

Y/N is so overly exhausted from fighting sleep due to nightmares that they completely break down in the kitchen. In their sleep deprived state they get the brilliant idea to take strong sleeping meds to hopefully skip the REM stage of sleep. They end up mixing the pills up in their state and taking one too many happy pills. It ends with them going on a nasty hallucination trip and passing out.

Cowboy AU - @castercassette

Everything black by Unlike Pluto. Another one that isn't too hard to see if you've heard the song. While it wouldn't fit the wildwest theme. It definitely fits the fact the sherif can't seem to locate the missing children or prevent more from vanishing.

Gremlin AU is mine. I just wanted to draw my own boys to one song. There's no real reason why. Just that I wanted fluff after drawing so much angst/ drama.

Meteorite by Emmit Fenn/ CloudKid

I have like 4/5 more doodles planned but they might take a while.

Anyway I'm sorry for the mass ping and to opudontdonut in particular, if my scenario makes you uncomfortable please message me and I will remove it immediately.

I think I'd like to make an AU where Sun and Moon are less of daycare assistants, and more like...

Spaceship robots. A la Hal 9000, Arthur from Passengers, Wheatley/Glados, etc.

They're still caring but they're eerie because of that sort of... space robot/AI vibe going on. They're almost TOO human in emotional presentation and I think that would be a fun space to play in.

Sun might have been made more to take care of the little ones or assist passengers who need extra help- silly, fun, if a little overbearing. Can be nervous, but tries his best. Good for ship morale.

Moon might be more of a security guard/attendant to the captain. Very serious, can come across as creepy but tries very hard not to be, tends to be the voice of reason. Great for making decisions, but can be... possessive over the people he cares about.

They also present slightly more adult like in this AU, but not entirely like. Serious or stiff, they are still themselves.

They would be separate in the AU, but able to combine bodies to make the emergency Eclipse automaton- a very VERY big, somewhat chaotic emergency protocol that combines Sun's quick thinking with Moon's rational decision making.

It's possible that some kind of foreign virus that affects non-organic beings takes Moon's programming and sabotages it. Makes him much more dangerous. And as a result, if Eclipse is called while he's still glitching out from the strange virus, or if Moon is left unattended, it becomes a BIG problem.

But it's also too big a problem to have either Eclipse, OR Moon, incapacitated. Moon is one of the central pillars of the ship, and Eclipse is literally the emergency protocol. They can't just shut them down for repairs.

Y/N might not be captain perse. Might be another crew member, or someone who is a civilian aboard the ship who ends up somehow befriending the two bots- and ends up being the only one who can calm down Sun, Moon or Eclipse when things really take a turn for the worst.

I'm just also thinking about the boys in pretty chrome and gold

Outfit planning for my Vocaloid space opera au that plays inside my brain. They'd all be androids but Neru/Teto/Haku would be made up of pirated software and an unofficial unbranded AI while they all fly in space together.

And here is our dear sweet Earth herself! Literally, say hi to the earth's AI. She is loving, caring and while she is rather forgiving, puts her foot down when needed. Such as Don't Litter On Her. She aint having that. She's using a hologram form most of the time, it's far more cartoon looking (simple but effective). Her heads not actually attached to the body. She's well known for most people on earth but most don't get a one on one with her. (Not anymore really. But she enjoys watching over kids, and how humanity grows.) Earth has over seen the Sun and Moon animatronic line very closesly so she's developed a rather unique attachment to them. She loves her little brothers! And checks in from time to time. Doodles from a discord stream, where a pal asked for a space-au beach episode sjshdjdhd

So, here’s the gang hanging out on a beach planet while waiting for a repairman to show up n fix their ship lol

Ft pilot Reader not being fond of big bodies of water, or swimming!

Context:

pilot-Reader grew up on a sub-planet turned into a space-animal reservation called Sanctuary. Rlly it’s a temporary home for anyone who needs aid after being evicted from their planet, or surviving a war, or struggling to find their place in the universe, etc etc. But they had big habitats for the Lasts Of Their Kind- a member of a species that is abt to go extinct, basically. One of em was a big sea-serpent type creature, new and unknown to the people working at the reserve but observed to be volatile with deadly consequences. Reader falls into its tank one day and has a Moment with the creature before the workers have to make the decision to kill the creature before it can harm Reader. The memory is confusing and full of anger and grief, and they blame themselves for what had to be done to make sure they left the water safely.
