Ranting (slur, some cussing)

So don't get me wrong I harbor some affection for my family.

Sometimes they can be genuinely nice people who sometimes support me through life in a handful of specific ways

yeah, It's been a shitty coupla months

anyway my sibling recently came out to me as a little bit queer and I came out to her (partly she already knew of my boy leaning) but it has not made my life better, partly because she's a moody teen and partly because of my parents.

my parents are queerphobes who find it necessary to limit anything that could be limited: screens, books, our time, our lives, the clothes we wear, the friends we make (I hide mine). Today I brought home library books for xmas break and my dad took them so he could censor them. That's pretty much my life.

I spend all my time in their vicinity not being queer because my sister doesn't want to be associated because "she has x years left" and my parents are assholes who are more worried about me expressing my queerness over the fact that I got called a fag at school. And church.

My dysphoria is also getting worse and worse as i become more popular and more people misgender me. and deadname me (my deadname means god with us which is so many different levels of shitty for me).

And I really would just like a family and a home.

So thanks for existing, cuz it helps a little.

Being able to make me go “holy crap how are these characters gonna make it out of >insert situation<“ has only been done once before this fic (funnily enough, another slow burn hurt/comfort fic but for the mcu). There's something to be said about reading media where you genuinely fear for the main characters bc it usually goes hand in hand with villains who dont make stupid mistakes for the sake of the plot.
