headcannons on Dinah mayhaps?

Sure thing! Headcanons under the cut. Tw for mentions of war. Labeled mature because it’s in my au. Just a precaution.

Dinah is one of the more docile and gentle coaches, known for being rather sweet and concerned about the well being of the humans that work around her and her passengers.

She insists on feeding her crew, even if they brought their own lunches. She’s very nurturing, and open to them. It has reached a point humans that are close to her go to her to receive comfort and advice. She doesn’t mind that at all. If anything, she’s rather flattered folks feel comfortable enough around her to open up.

She and Greaseball met when they were young, close to the time GB was going to race for the first time. Racing eventually got between them and he eventually broke up with her. However, after the races, she got back with him after GB changed for the better. They’ve since settled down, but Greaseball still races. He just makes sure to keep racing from getting between them again.

She adores every single member of the gang. She enjoys spending time with them.

She knows diesels can’t have sugar so she keeps all sugary sweets hidden so the gang or Greaseball can’t get to them. She unfortunately learned that Greaseball can easily sniff them out and a determined diesel is no match for the hiding places she uses. She always has that disappointed mother look when Greaseball gets sick after he snatched a few treats without her looking.

She and him eventually tied the knot after the war. She’s now the beloved queen of the Shadow District.

She takes over ruling over the Shadow District once Greaseball starts hibernating. Humans can bathe a sigh of relief as Dinah makes sure they’re well taken care of.

She’s very split about the idea of humans being treated so horribly. She knows humans can be awful but humans can also be good. Regardless, she makes sure each human is cared for.

She sneaks food she had made to the humans. She wants to make sure they get enough to eat. This also goes for drinks too.

She enjoys spending time with Rusty. She finds the Star District to remind her of home back in the South. She loves the warm and cozy vibe.

She keeps in contact with the other coaches and will gladly travel to see them.

She can’t enough of the snuggle session with Greaseball. That diesel is warm and Dinah can’t get enough of it.

She finds his purr it be rather reassuring. A gentle reminder everything is okay and GB wouldn’t let anything happen to her.

She’s incredibly patient but can be rather nasty if she absolutely has to be. She immediately regrets it afterwards and cries in private or seeks GB out for comfort.

With humans serving the rolling stock, she still insists on cooking, claiming she’s a dining car. She’s not going to sit idle and not do what she was made to do. That and it’s her favorite thing to do.

She probably can purr, but it’s nowhere as deep as GB’s. More on par with a cheetah than anything.

She sometimes hums when in the kitchen or doing anything in general.

She probably has a diner in the Shadow District. She tries to be there as often as she can. The diner serves most of the food she offered to guests before the war.

She was close with Mike, so the incident with GB shook her to the core, but she understood GB tried his best to fight it off. She knows GB still feels guilt for it and tries to cheer him up.

She’d love to be a mother but GB and her are taking their time before they decide to have an heir.

My (very not opinionated) opinion on DINAH x CB

i get this one a LOT more than the others bc CB actually showed good affection towards dinah after greaseball dumped her. but it's also kind of strange bc they don't interact for the complete rest of the musical?? i also see a lot of fanart of this one, which is kinda weird. but all in all i kinda do like this ship, but their dynamic confuses me. like does CB actually care about dinah, or was he just trying to get on good terms with her?? (also what is their ship name😭)

uhh so conclusion: i dont like shipping and i think this one is kinda bad in a good way. like i said in the last one CB doesnt deserve love </3
