Dear you, i haven´t been here in a minute. The week was quiet busy and the days seemed short. this whole week my focus was on how to become unbothered and self regulate my emotions, the way i react to events in general and the effect this have on my life.
Unbelievable the amount of self-discipline it take to run after your thoughts as a shepherd. I am a born over-thinker and prone to anxiety very easily. Being a lot in my thoughts gets my mind wandering away a lot. Since the mind and the imagination is powerful at creating amazing things and the other way round it can trick you.
Becoming unbothered is a gradual process that involves developing a resilient mindset and adopting effective coping mechanisms. Here are some of them to keep myself focused.
Self-awareness:
Start by becoming aware of your emotions, triggers, and the situations that tend to bother you. Understanding yourself better can help you identify patterns and areas that require attention.
Mindfulness and meditation:
Practicing mindfulness and meditation can help you stay present in the moment and develop a calmer state of mind. This can reduce the impact of external stressors and make you less reactive to them.
Acceptance:
Learn to accept the things you cannot change. Focus on controlling your own reactions and attitudes rather than trying to control external circumstances or other people's behavior.
Reframe negative thoughts:
Challenge negative thoughts and replace them with more positive and empowering ones. This can help you develop a more optimistic and resilient mindset.
Set boundaries:
Establish clear boundaries to protect your mental and emotional well-being. Learn to say no when necessary and prioritize self-care.
Practice self-care:
Engage in activities that bring you joy, relaxation, and rejuvenation. Take care of your physical health, get enough sleep, eat well, and exercise regularly. Taking care of yourself holistically can improve your overall resilience.
Seek support:
Talk to trusted friends, family members, or a therapist about your concerns. Sharing your thoughts and feelings can provide you with perspective, guidance, and emotional support.
Develop a growth mindset:
Embrace challenges as opportunities for growth and learning. Instead of viewing setbacks as failures, see them as stepping stones to success. This mindset shift can help you become more resilient in the face of adversity.

Beginning a new project. When things don’t go they way I want them to, I am thankful it’s at the beginning of the project. I will more than likely need to scrap this and start anew. It happens.
