Scarf and piece by @tonledesign ❤️ When Tonlé invited me to model some of their pieces I fell in love with their genderless clothing. So much of the conversations around what women and men should wear were harmful when I was younger and developing my style. Seeing the conversations around ethicality, queerness, and justice have allowed me to embrace my full self as a spiritual being. I remember in high school and college I’d be wearing “women's” clothing just to be asked where I got the piece, only for me to smile and say the women's section. For many Queer, Trans communities we are attacked or judged for wearing any type of femme clothing because of how much homophobia and transphobia permeate our society.

Tonlé recently when through a business restructure to focus on circularity and being a business rooted in collaboration rather than competition. I’m so proud of how far they’ve come and their new mission to fight for just systems. When I was in Cambodia, they taught me what it means to fight for justice and fashion. qbv
