We were in a server where if a user had a certain discomfort towards a media (ex: DSMP, Genshin Impact, MCYT to name a few), the staff would inform any alters whose source was one of those media that they were not allowed to talk in the server. Like at all. Not even in bot channels. I’m happy the server got nuked.

Been heavily heavily debating off an on for months (maybe years) about making my own discord server for systems tho tbh I've never ran a server or moderated before, and collectively our spoons in socializing lack a LOT. I worry a lot about things getting out of hand and us not being there to moderate bc we got burnt out or something

It's something I kinda wanna do to give it a shot but also something I'm hesitant about, esp bc to be honest we are very wary of many people in the DID/OSDD community.

I'll update here if we do make one and if anyone does have advice or anything about it, or maybe something they would want out of a syscord server, lemme know!

The struggle of finding decent system friendly Discord servers to be in…

The majority of the ones I’ve seen either allow endos, use TONS of fonts & closed symbols (and usually also allow individuals to use closed names from cultures they are not from), have an insanely restrictive blacklist, or believe the R slur is reclaimable (and thus allow their members to throw it around however they please)

Then of course, there is the heavenly mix of all of the above

I don't really have a tale, but I do want to talk on discord with other systems, but I really am scared of people finding out who I am and cancelling me (OCD fear) if I join one of these tumblr discord servers. Like yes, I wanna be ur friend and talk to you, but god fuck don't talk to me if you follow my blog and aren't okay with people who are weird.

I'm on eggshells and don't want to be in a non-anonymous system community.

Yeah, I get that - it can be really scary, especially with the tales you hear. You could try making one, or joining one from a blog that shares your views/quirks.

If anyone has any system servers that are safe and somewhat active, please send them our way. We no longer feel safe enough in the server we’re in and we’ve been having a hard time finding new ones.
