“I won’t allow it.”
“You won’t allow it?” Viserys asks with an air of frigid humor. “Who are you to deny your king what he has commanded?”
Otto seethes, decades of practiced court manners faltering under the demand. “Forgive me, Your Grace, but she is my daughter. I will not have her married off to a man whose love of violence and debauchery trails him like a shadow. She is a pious child. To marry her to Daemon is—“
“A blessing. She will marry a prince and a valiant knight.”
The other men at the table are silent. They'd expected talks of reinforcing the kingdom's claim on the Stepstones or of quelling rumors that had cropped up of Daemon corrupting his young niece in a brothel a year prior. The king commanding a marriage between Otto Hightower's youngest daughter—his only child from a tragically short second marriage—is an unpleasant surprise.
"He is already married."
Viserys gives a taut smile. "Daemon's marriage to Lady Royce has been annulled. By royal decree and with the blessing of the High Septon. It is in the best interest of Westeros that the Targaryen line remains vast and strong and it has been decided your daughter will do what Lady Royce did not."
Otto's face falls in disbelief. He's heard nothing of it. This had been set up to corner him. "She is a child."
"She is nearly four years older than Alicent was when we wed. The queen has proven your daughters are strong vessels for Targaryen children."
"It is different. She is different. She is not as strong as Alicent."
The king shakes his head. "I will hear no more discussion of this. She will wed Daemon and this feud between the two of you shall end once and for all.”
Tumblr media
Alicent’s touch is feather-light as she takes hold of your hands. Her eyes wander across your form, taking in the exquisite ivory gown. Its crimson embroidered dragon along the skirt a special request from your soon-to-be husband. “You look beautiful, sister.”
You can say nothing to your half-sister, barely able to retain the tears brimming in silence. A fortnight was all you’d been given to prepare to wed the vilest creature in Westeros. Daemon Targaryen was all you could have ever hoped against in a husband.
Your father stands tall behind Alicent, head held high. "The image of the Maiden herself."
A choked sob escapes you at his words. This marriage was punishment by the Seven for every sin you'd ever committed. For the impure thoughts you'd had of knights. The white lies you'd spoken to save yourself the wrath of Septa Agerrea. The gambling you'd participated in when you’d bet your favorite embroidery needle in a game of cards with Lysa Tyrell. Had you only followed the Faith more faithfully, this torture would not be yours to endure.
“I believe it is time to take your place with the king, Your Grace,” your father says.
Alicent hesitates with glossy eyes. She draws you into a tight hug and whispers an apology and how much she loves you. You have the faintest memory of her wedding to the king a few years before. The happy sister who’d spent hours braiding your hair when the handmaidens failed to do it properly disappeared into a hardened queen round with child seemingly overnight. The smiles and giggles you’d shared daily turned to fond, distant memories. She withdraws a moment later, wiping at her face.
When the door shuts your father moves behind you. You watch in the ornate mirror as he drapes the green maidencloak of House Hightower across your shoulders. The new burden's weight feels uncomfortable.
He returns to stand before you, his expression sorrowful. "I am sorry, my sweet child, for this atrocity. You deserve far better.”
“I could have saved myself this fate had I been less worldly and become a Septa.” Your palm wipes at the tear that had fallen.
He cups your cheek. “Perhaps. But we cannot lament on what we could have done. Indeed we must focus instead on your duty to the realm.”
“To be a good wife,” you state. It was what he had raised you to be.
“No, sweet child,” he says softly, “I fear that I must ask something far more difficult of you. For your duty to the realm must supplant your duty in marriage.”
Tumblr media
The wedding takes place in a haze. You tremble, stumble over words, and can not meet the eyes of your now husband nor the Septon. Soon you would betray them both.
For the good of the realm.
You do not eat or drink through the feast. You barely speak. You think you might have danced, though all you remember of it is a blurring background and an embroidered dragon that matches your own. It had stared at you accusingly.
“Shall I call for the bedding ceremony to begin, brother?” the king slurs loudly. If there had been anything in your stomach, it surely would have come out now. It was one vile thought to have him touch you. But to have other men undress you as well?
Your hand is pulled from your lap, enclosed in another twice its size, callous and rough against your skin. For the first time that day you look at your husband. You’d never seen him this close. The lavender gaze cannot have been of this world. It’s too vibrant, too knowing. “Too many of the men here have wandering hands. I’d hate to spill blood on such a blessed day.” His lips brush against your hand. “My sweet wife should not have to endure such tragedy.”
The king responds dismissively. Something of disappointing guests, but to do as he pleases. Daemon takes it as a dismissal and pulls you from your seat. The last thing you hear is the call from many about bloody sheets.
Perhaps the Mother has decided to take mercy on you. For you cannot breathe as the doors to the prince’s chambers close behind you. Death can take you before he can.
He stands in front of the fire, pouring some drink into a goblet. The flickering orange light suits him. Like he was born for flames. “You must relax. There is nothing for you to fear from me.” A lie. There was much to fear from him.
A booming knock echoes through the room.
“Enter.”
Two servants carrying trays of bread and fruit enter. Then they are gone just as swiftly. The door closes once more.
“You must eat,” he says, taking your hand once more and leading you to a small table. You sit and a piece of bread is offered. You take it and, after an expectant nod, take a bite. It’s still warm and soft. You take another bite. And another.
It’s gone quickly. Too quickly for a lady. A bowl of berries clatters softly in front of you. You pick at it slower, though not as slowly as you’d like. They are sweet. Perfectly ripe.
“Would you like some wine?”
Despite the juice of berries coating your tongue, your mouth is dry as you speak for the first time since you’d said your vows. “Yes, please.”
“So well mannered.” A smug smile spreads across his face as he raises his goblet and sips. He reaches over and sets it down beside the half-empty bowl. “I forgot to have them retrieve another cup.”
The crimson red liquid ripples. A challenge.
“You are very gracious, my Prince. Thank you.” You lift it by the stem and drink. It was stronger than you’ve ever had before. The taste takes you aback, coughing as it soaks your tongue. Hastily you set the cup back down.
"I take it you don't often indulge in Dornish Reds."
"No, never."
His head cocks to the side appraisingly. "I suppose such a thing has never been offered to you before. Not within the confines of your father's authority. He has given you a rather sheltered life."
A prickly heat seeps up your neck. "My father did not confine or shelter me. He has only ever guided me to live as virtuously as the Seven wished for all their children to live.”
“How very kind of him to not let you endure the same vices as himself.”
You blink, his words sinking in. The implication that your father is a drunkard stings. He isn't, but you don’t fight his accusation. Selfishly, you do not wish to defend your father. Instead, you pluck a berry from the bowl, hoping to end the conversation entirely.
"Are the berries quite good?"
You nod, not wanting to speak again.
"Might I have one?" When you go to pick up the bowl, he stops you. "Pick me out the best one."
The best one? The bowl is still half full. Which berry was the best? Would he be disappointed if you picked one he did not like? Or one that was not ripe enough? Not sweet enough? What would he do to you if he disliked the one you chose?
It was the largest blackberry that you finally settle on, prepared to hear how terrible the choice had been as you hold it out to him. He doesn't simply take it. He leans over the table, taking the berry and your fingers into his mouth.
The act is heinously intimate. It leaves you frozen and breathless as he pulls away, his eyes alight in devious amusement. "I'm not sure which taste I prefer. The berry's or your's."
Fire spreads across your cheeks. You flinch away, embarrassed. In the escape effort your arm knocks against the goblet. To your horror, it clatters against the table. The liquid sloshes across your front, staining the white gown.
The crimson seems to seep from your womb, condemning you for something you had yet to do. You paw at the stain as the chair clatters on the ground from the force with which you'd stood.
Tears brim in your eyes as it continues to spread.
“There's no need to fret. It is only wine.”
“I have desecrated it.” The tears have not stopped falling and your hands have not stopped scrubbing at it with your fingers. “The stain will never come out.”
“It is only a dress.” He cups your face, encouraging you to meet his gaze. It searches for some understanding.
He would never understand.
“I am so sorry, my Prince.”
He shushes you softly and places a kiss against your forehead. This was the monster? The vile, unholy beast whose every action was an affront to the Seven? This man who had shown you nothing but kindness?
You cry harder.
He is not the monster.
You are.
You aren’t sure how long you cry. But he holds you through it all. He speaks little more than a few consoling phrases, but it is more than you deserve. His presence, arms around you, kisses on your hair. All of it more than you deserve.
You’re finally calm, only left with sniffles, when he says, “We should get the dress to the washwomen before the stain sets.” What good would it do? The stain can never be removed from your soul. Still you agree and turn for him.
His fingers are swift as they loosen the strings of your bodice. Practiced. He is practiced. Behind closed doors you assume, but there were numerous tales of his public debauchery. It has been gossiped that he prefers the thrill of open affairs and touches of multiple women.
“Why did you refuse the bedding ceremony?”
He pauses. “Did you wish to have one?”
“No,” you say quickly. “But given your…tendencies I…I thought…” A quiet hum has your words trailing off.
His work continues, though slower. “You are not a whore in a brothel.”
“Neither is your niece and yet...”
Air blows across your neck as he chuckles. “Has my pious little wife been gossiping about the chastity of the Crowned Princess?”
Your lungs seize at the realization of what you’d just said. It’s treason. Questioning her virtue is treason.
“Relax, jaesa.” His hands slip between the shoulders of your shift and the loose gown, pushing the sleeves down your arms. “I took you under my protection today. You may speak freely to me.”
“I,” you hesitate, freeing your hands of the garment, “I had heard that a year ago you snuck the princess from the castle and—“
He bunches the fabric at your waist and tugs. “Had my way with her in some brothel?”
“Yes.”
The gown struggles for a moment, snagging on the curve of your behind. Another tug and it is a pile around your feet. “My niece wished to see King’s Landing. I showed her and returned her to the castle, still a fair maiden like yourself.”
“Of course.”
“You doubt me?”
“No, my Prince.”
"It would do a great disservice to our union to begin it with lies." He prompts you to turn and hesitantly you do. He is shorter than your father, yet his presence is as commanding. More so. It makes you aware of how thin the fabrics of your shifts were when his gaze drifts down. "My niece's heart belongs elsewhere. As do my desires."
His touch is gentle as he cups your cheek, but the feeling's it stirred are rough and uncertain. Bordering on traitorous.
“Shall I call a servant to fetch the dress?” The words waver. You wonder if they’re comprehensible at all.
They are, it seems as he rejects the offer and slips out the door himself with the dress. The reprieve from his watchful, astute eye is welcome. You fall to your knees at the edge of the bed and recite the prayer your father had taught you minutes before you’d been led down the aisle.
Warrior, give me strength for what I must do. It is for the good of the realm.
Mother, forgive me for what I must do. It is for the good of your faithful servants.
Stranger, lead my children to peace. It is for the good of their innocent souls.

Pairing: House of the Dragon x Male!Targaryen!Reader
Genre: Angst
Warnings: Mentions of childbirth, murder, burning down an entire city, dragon death, threatening people, bloody duels, graphic descriptions, gore.
Being the first born of King Viserys was not easy, being the heir and prince of dragonstone, Y/n hated it. He was the first born son of King Viserys, older brother to princess Rhaenyra Targaryen.
He was three years older than his younger sister, making him already ten and eight years old, a dragon rider since he was seven years old. Trained in the art of the sword ever since he could stand, the responsibilities weighed down on him. He wanted to be free, not free in the normal sense, free in the mental sense of things. Y/n felt like he was trapped in his mind prison, the key burned away in his blood that was set alight by the dragon flame.
There was a side of him that could not be unleashed, if it did the end of days will arrive sooner then how Aegon the Conqueror dreamed of it.
The Red Keep was that he has known, he was born in these very halls, in the same birthing bed that his mother Queen Aemma has had multiple miscarriages and stillborns on. His father has always said when Y/n finally was brought into the world, his cries were all the Red Keep heard, when the midwife said it was a boy, Viserys cried happy tears as his wife held the babe in her arms.
Y/n had the natural silver hair and violet eyes of his Valyrian forefathers, as he grew into a man his hair got longer and eyes got sharper. Growing into a handsome prince, most of the ladies at court would chase after him, greater and minor lords would offer their daughters, nieces, sisters and cousins as his future wife.
He wanted nothing to do with them. Marriage. Children. A wife. His own family. None of it, he did not want any of it.
Walking to his mother’s room, he was in riding gear as he was going to the Dragon Pit after visiting. Pushing open the door, the room had incense burning, maesters, midwives all attending to the pregnant queen.
“Mother.” He called out as he walked over and sat down next to her on a smaller stool.
“Y/n. My beautiful boy. How are you? Are you going to go riding again?” She asked as she fanned herself.
“Yes, Seiphax has grown restless within the pit. I heard from the Dragonkeepers that they would cry out at night.” A smile adored his features, the carefree nature of his was on full display.
Y/n’s eyes fell to his mother’s belly, swollen with child. Aemma saw this and laughed. “Your new sibling will be here soon.”
“Mother, I worry for you. You keep on trying pushing out heirs, your body will be eventually destroyed, you cannot keep this up.” He said with worry. “Father already has me as heir, why does he need anymore children? Does he not know of your miscarriages?”
Aemma gestured for her son to come forward, putting a piece of hair behind his ear when he got close enough. “Queen Alyssa had nine children..” Y/n rolled his eyes and pulled away from her. “I know, you have told me that since I have not wanted to marry.”
“As queens, we have to do our duty to the realm.” Y/n crossed his arms before his eyes. “But mother…”
He shut up as he saw Aemma give him the ‘look’. Letting out a sigh before putting up his hands in defense. “Alright. Alright. I’m just gonna go…I will think about my marriage I guess.” Y/n turned and left the room, going to the dragon pit and mounting Seiphax.
Taking to the skies, getting as far away as possible from King’s Landing at the moment. If he was not heir, he would have already fled across the Narrow Sea and escaped and lived freely.
His dragon was the same size as Caraxes, if not bigger, its wingspan was bigger than the Blood Wyrm but its neck was not snake-like. The scales were a shiny black color, when the dragon first hatched his father had thought it was Balerion reincarnated.
Within the clouds, above all cities and the people, the wind that blew through his hair gave him the peace he wished he could have. Any other boy would love to be in his position as prince. He knew of what the smallfolk said about him.
The dragon sat in midair as it floated above the clouds. Y/n’s bond with his dragon was strong, sometimes even without High Valyrian, it was like his dragon could understand what he wanted to do.
Y/n was beginning to slip off the saddle, his dragon realized what he was going to. His body weight shifted all to one side and soon he was free falling to the ocean below. Seiphax flew after him, flying as fast as they could and eventually caught him on his back again.
“Just let me fall Seiphax…..” Was all he said before he took control of the dragon again and flew back to King’s Landing.
Landing back down at the Dragon Pit’s entrance, he got off as he soothed the beast. “Good to see you back prince. Your sister arrived not long after you left.” He walked over to the horse they had brought for him.
“Right. Let’s get back to the Keep before my father freaks out again.”
—-------------
Things have moved too fast for him, the tourney, the death of his mother and brother, his uncle getting exiled, his father getting remarried, Alicent getting pregnant, having a half-brother, Rhaenyra getting betrothed, the wedding leading to someone dying.
Time flew by and soon ten years had gone by, he was in the same if not worst state he was in before. His nephews and half-siblings have grown up now, all were now at least children that could understand the world that goes around them.
His uncle has married Lady Laena Velayron, giving him twin girls of pure Valyrian blood; Baela and Rhaena.
His sister getting pregnant again with her third child.
Everyone around him is getting on with their lives, but him, Y/n was heir, and yet he was still alone. Every time they talked about him getting married he managed to sneak away to the dragon pit and fly off into the skies, he would fly for hours and would not come back unless they dropped the topic on his arrival back.
This day, when he arrived back to the Red Keep he saw his sister walking the halls with a newborn in her arms. He saw his brother-in-law Laenor helping her as she had a limp, he went over and got her other arm.
“Sister, why are you walking? You should be resting after your labors.” His voice was laced with concern.
“The queen has asked for the baby.” Laenor replied, disgust written all over it.
“Again? Thought we were over this.” Y/n shook his head.
“That’s exactly what I said.” The other male said with a sigh.
Soon, they arrived at the queen’s chambers. Even Alicent looked shocked at Rhaenyra walking.
Y/n could only stand awkwardly to the side as he eyed everyone and practically everything in the room. His father walked in shortly after, but he could care less. He knew more than everyone else in this room, he knew it was all the Hightowers doing, he knew Alicent was the one spreading the rumors, Otto Hightower was the vulture he wanted to hunt and shoot through the eye with an arrow.
Alicent then came over to him. “Prince Y/n. Your sister has delivered another healthy babe, it is only a matter of time before you need heirs of your own. Me and your father can find you a suitable match..-”
Y/n groaned and rolled his eyes. “Stop. Your grace.” He began to turn away. Y/n gave a silent glare before leaning in and whispering into her ear. “I know you and what you are, a snake and a vulture on the throne. Once my father is gone and dead and cold in his grave, you will overlook me and my sister and install your own children on the throne. If your father did see me as the true heir, he would not have made you marry my father. He only wishes to see his own blood on the Iron Throne.”
Pulling away, a frown was on his lips. Alicent had an unreadable expression, she was stunned at first but then spoke up anyway. “I’m sure that is not what my father intended for my prince. You are the first born to King Viserys, you are the heir with no doubt.”
Y/n could only scoff as he decided to walk out of the room, going off to the dragon pit again as he wanted the comfort of his dragon.
His dragon has grown double in size, almost bigger than any dragon in the realm save for Vhagar. It was bigger than Caraxes, bigger than Vermithor, bigger than Dreamfyre.
Perhaps it really was Balerion again.
—-------------
Lady Laena has died to Vhagar, setting herself aflame by the dragon’s fire. Everyone was gathered on Driftmark to her funeral, the princes and princesses clearly seemed bored and did not want to be there.
Y/n stood next to his half-sister Helaena, he was her elder by many years, but Helaena thought comfort in him. Y/n knew she was a shy girl, and did not want to converse with others often. He saw Rhaenyra in the distance, he excused himself to go see his sister.
“Nyra…I know you want to see him.” He said, taking a goblet and filling it with wine.
“I do not know what you speak of brother.”
She was still trying to deny it, he knew this well. “I know how you look at uncle. You can’t fool me.”
He did not say anything more, he wanted to drink and get rid of this unnecessary stress. Standing off to the side as he drank, soon his half-brother Aegon spotted him. The boy came over to him, also holding a cup in his hand. “Drinking so soon brother?” The younger asked.
“I should be asking you that, though it’s not a surprise considering it’s you. Guess you take after me.” Downing his wine in one gulp.
“Guess I do, I don’t really see that being a bad thing.”
Y/n gave him a warning glare before walking away. His family has not been the same ever since Alicent married his father, and at this rate there was more infighting going on then Aegon’s conquest to conquer the Seven Kingdoms.
He walked away from the ceremony and to sanded areas of Driftmark. His dragon slept along and behind one of the hills, spotting it was easy as the black scales shimmered in the sunlight.
Seiphax growled as he sensed Y/n’s presence, nuzzling into his rider’s warmth as Y/n patted its snout and soothed him. Seiphax growled more, suggesting to his rider that he wanted to fly and stretch its wings. “I know boy, I’ll take you tonight. How’s that?” The dragon growled in delight at the question.
“Alright. I will be back. Right now I need to go….” He cut himself off, he felt a strong urge to do something.
“I will come back. Just rest for now, yeah?” He patted the dragon’s snout before walking away.
His hand on his sword, though there was no need to bring a sword to the funeral, Y/n does not part with his blade.
Y/n wandered for a while, he does not know where he went, he just knows he ended up in a forest. There was something pulling him here, and he answered the call.
The further he got into the forest, the pull began to get stronger. He got to an area where some people were gathered, it was there he felt it. He felt something pushing towards them, his hand gripped his sword harder than before.
“Kill..”
“Huh?” He heard a voice, he was sure of it.
“Kill them all..”
“What?” The voice was there, he could not have been wrong.
“Kill them and prove your worth..”
He walked closer to the gathered folk, seeing them up close, he realized who they were. They bore the sigil of the Hightower, wearing the green colors with pride, the tower sigil representing their power.
Seeing it made his blood boil.
“Do you remember the dress Alicent wore on your sister’s wedding day? It was green. What colors does the tower fire glow when Oldtown calls its banners to war?”
“Green..” His voice was laced with hatred. It was clear to him now what Alicent did when she wore such a dress. Queen Visenya should have burned the faith and the Hightowers down when she had the chance.
Unsheathing his sword, he walked, then it turned into a run then a full on sprint.
He plunged his sword into the first man, after that everything was a blur. He fully blacked out.
—---------
Vhagar had been claimed, but nothing was without a price. Prince Aemond has lost an eye, cut out by his own nephew Luke.
Everyone was gathered back to the main hall, Aemond was getting his eye stitched up after getting it fully taken out. Luke had a broken nose, the others all had bruises. Aemond was trying so hard not to scream, in the moment he wanted to hold his half-brother's hand, Y/n was the only one who did not judge him for not having a dragon.
“Jace? Luke!” Rhaenyra bursts into the room, going to check on her children.
“Where is my son? Where is my heir?!” Viserys shouted at the guards, the kingsguard could only look at each other as they knew not of where Y/n was.
“We have not seen him at the fight Your Grace, perhaps he was still in bed.” One of them said, unsure of his answer.
Viserys looked toward the kids, looking for some sort of answer to where his heir would be. Most of the children looked away, not knowing where Y/n was at all. All except for one, Helaena, but she stood still as she casted her gaze towards the ground instead. She was mumbling under her breath, but no one managed to catch what it was.
Aegon stood off to the side as he was drunk and asleep but then woken up by everyone else, he didn’t know anything and yet here he was standing here as if he was on trial for a crime. Aemond sat in the chair with only one remaining good eye, he also did not see his half-brother during his fight, or even when he claimed Vhagar.
Jace and Luke both looked away not knowing where their uncle was, Luke clutched onto his mother’s dress skirts and tried to hide behind her as much as possible. Jace just stood, his eyes anywhere but to look at his grandsire. Rhaenyra had a hand on Luke’s back as she tried to comfort him.
Alicent could only look away as she also did not know, she stood over Aemond as she tried to offer some sort of comfort to her son who had just lost an eye. Squeezing his hand in hers as they both stayed silent.
“Does anyone know where in the seven hells Y/n might be?!” Viserys shouted again, no doubt some of the kids flinched at his tone.
“Father..” Rhaenyra pleaded.
“The towers that glowed green, they would be engulfed in dragon flame..”
Helaena mumbled under her breath, the only person close enough to her was Aegon, but he only brushed it off as nonsense.
“So does no one know where my son is?” He looked towards his guards again.
“He was not in bed.” Aemond finally said. “I have not seen him since the ceremony.”
“When did you last see him, Aemond?”
“He was with Aegon.”
“Me?”
Viserys then turned to his second son. “And you boy? Where is your brother?” Aegon did not reply.
“AEGON! Your king demands an answer!”
“None of the children has seen him since the ceremony. Indulging his dragon I would believe, I saw him walk away.” Alicent finally spoke up.
“The towers that glowed green, they would be engulfed in dragon flame..”
Helaena continued to mumble.
“Send people out to look for him, check where his dragon is.” Viserys said to the guards as they bowed.
“Husband, Aemond has lost an eye! We can look for him in the morning, but his eye cannot.” Alicent argued, she wanted justice for her son.
“I cannot restore his eye, Alicent.” Viserys said sadly.
“Because it has been taken! He’s your son Viserys! Your blood!” She was on the verge of crying and shedding tears.
“My sons were the ones that were attacked and forced to defend themselves! If my brother were here he would say the same. Vile insults were levied against them.” Rhaenyra said, pushing the two boys behind them.
“What insults?” Viserys was now confused.
“The legitimacy of son’s birth were put loudly to question.” Rhaenyra chose her words carefully.
“He called us bastards.” Jace added, looking back at Rhaenyra.
“Wh-” Viserys was cut off as a guard came into the room, catching his breath as if he just ran a couple of miles.
“The Heir’s dragon…” He said catching his breath.
“What? What has happened to Seiphax?”
“The dragon was flying by itself! The prince was nowhere in sight!” The guard managed to say.
At that moment, before anyone could say anything about it, a loud roar could be heard from outside of the Castle. The roar was so loud it seemed like it shook the whole of Driftmark itself.
The room went silent, the adults took the kids to bed as the guards went outside and assessed the situation. Rhaenyra took the kids to bed, she looked over to Daemon and silently told him to bring her brother home.
—---------
A dragon with shiny black scales can be seen flying overhead of Driftmark, taking to the skies and disappearing among the stars.  Its scales make it blend in perfectly.
Flying under the moonlight, flying over to the distant forest. It slowly lowered itself down in the middle of the forest. Folding its wings in and dipping its head down, a hand slowly patted him.
“It’s alright boy, you found me.” Seiphax let out a low growl, turning its head to the dead bodies that lay upon the grass and dirt of the forest floor, the blood slowly sinking into the earth below.
The dragon eyes narrowed at the dead, through his eyes, he was asking if it was his rider that killed them. And Y/n already knew. “It was me. I first thought they were fake and I had thought I had gone mad, but since you can see them I don’t know anymore. Maybe you can see them because we are bonded.”
He leaned his forehead onto the cold scales of Seiphax, as if telling the beast he was still alright. Y/n then pulled back and went to grab where his saddle was, getting on top and making himself comfortable before yelling out a single command.
“Dracarys.”
The dragon readied itself before spitting out its flames, burning the corpses of the hightower. Y/n watched as the banner of Oldtown fell, the red and yellow flames engulfed the green. However, the flames begin to change, they begin to darken, turning to a pitch black color.
Soon the flames came to an end, Y/n felt a sense of relief as he watched the corpses burn to nothing. The only thing left was a banner of a half-burnt Hightower banner, and the burnt grass below that has been scorched. “Soves.” Was the only word that left his lips, the dragon spread its wings out but not entirely, before taking off into the sky once again.
“I owe you this flight.” Seiphax let out a sound that sounded like he was laughing, which brought a smile to Y/n’s face.
They flew to a different mountain cliff, Y/n sat cross-legged as his dragon climbed over the top of the rocks behind him. He managed to get some sleep, just barely as they soon saw the sun rise over the horizon.
He has never seen a full sunrise before, not out in the wilderness where the nature of things go undisturbed. It was silent save for the sounds of birds and the wind blowing, nothing else was there to disturb him. There were no people, no family drama, no politics, no duties, no pressure of being the heir. He can just relax.
However, nothing ever lasts forever. It was not long until he heard the screech of the blood wyrm, telling him that his uncle was nearby and ready to take him home. Upon hearing the red dragon, his own dragon Seiphax climbed over the hill of rocks and also roared at it.
Daemon was taken back at how big his nephew’s dragon has actually gotten over the ten years, now it was bigger than any other dragon in the realm, it was bigger than Caraxes he was sure. In a few years it could even rival Vhagar.
“Nephew. Let’s go.” Daemon simply said. Y/n looked tired, but he only shook his head not wanting to move. “Everyone wants you back. Your father is worried.” Daemon said again.
“No.” Y/n said. “I hate going back. Everytime I go back, the snakes and vultures that rule within my father’s council only wish to see me fall! They do not care if I am the heir, they do not think I am ready to rule. They would rather have my brother because he has the conqueror’s name!” He yelled out, almost all of the pent anger from over the years.
Daemon got off of Caraxes and went next to his nephew, putting a comforting hand on his shoulder. “Then prove it.” Daemon said.
“What?”
“I hate the Hightowers as much as you do. Only you and me and Rhaenyra see what they truly are. We are the blood of Old Valyria. Our ancestors were conquerors, we don’t wait until the moment. We take it, either if they are willing or unwilling.”
That moment, something lit up inside of the heir. If it was only a spark before, it had turned into a flame, a flame that cannot be tamed no matter how much you throw it at the tides.
—---------
Moving to Dragonstone with his sister and uncle may not have been a smart move, however, Y/n refused to stay at the court of green any longer. After Rhaenyra and Daemon married, he had hopped onto Seiphax and flew to Dragonstone by daybreak.
Little did he know how fast time moves, six years has passed, now returning to King’s Landing to defend his nephew Luke’s title as the future Lord of the Tides.
The wheelhouse went from the dragonpit to the Red Keep, and when it stopped Y/n mentally prepared himself as he stepped out after Daemon.
“Y/n Targaryen, First of his name, Prince of Dragonstone and Heir to the Iron Throne.” They announced his arrival.
Once they went inside, he no longer saw the Targaryen sigils of the three-headed dragon. Instead it was all replaced by the seven-pointed star of the Faith of the Seven; the Hightowers have taken over the Keep that was built by their ancestors.
“I would say it is nice to come home, but I barely recognize it anymore.” He and Rhaenyra said at the same time, they looked at each before he nodded for them to proceed.
They walked the halls they had grown up in, the familiar hallways and corridors became weird and no longer felt like it was home. Their steps stopped as they reached the doors of the King’s chambers.
Y/n went over to his father, seeing him practically bedridden brought him a sense of sadness. He promises that he will burn House Hightower to the ground.
“Father, it's me. Y/n.” He spoke quietly.
“Y/n? Oh Y/n…my heir…” Was all Viserys could say before Y/n pulled away to let his sister take over.
“I’m going out.” He said to Daemon before he left, which Daemon gave him a nod to.
In truth, Y/n had no idea where he was going to go. He wandered around for a while trying to clear his head, but soon he found himself in the training yard.
He saw his nephews there as well, watching someone going against Ser Criston Cole. When the view changed, he saw the silver haired prince was none other than his half-brother Aemond.
Something was definitely going to go wrong.
During the council to determine Luke’s claim to Driftmark, halfway through King Viserys came in after all. Viserys deemed his grandson Lucerys the rightful heir to Driftmark and yet Vaemond would not have it, Viserys decided to also have Y/n say who he would pledge to as the rightful future Lord of the Tides.
“I would pledge to my nephew Lucerys Velaryon as the future Lord of the Tides, as the heir I will have him rule driftmark while Jacecerys will have a place in my court.” Y/n said with his head held high for the Hightowers to see, he has not even spit fire yet and they looked scared in the mere presence of a dragon. Scratch that, they were in a room of dragons and yet they were only scared of one.
“You may run your house as you see fit, but you will not decide the future of mine! My house survived the doom! And a hundred tribulations besides! And I will not see it ended on the account of this-”
“Say it.” Daemon whispered as he nudged Y/n on the elbow.
“Her children are BASTARDS! And she is a whore.” Vaemond spat. Many gasped around the throne room.
“I will have your tongue for that.” Viserys managed to say as he got out the conqueror’s blade.
Y/n in one swift movement cut off the top of Vaemond’s head, just above where his tongue was. “He can keep his tongue.” He said, looking down at the corpse, before tearing his gaze to the Hightowers; especially Otto.
“Disarm him!” Otto yelled, but no guard dared to move.
“I am the heir, you have no say over me. No. Fucking. Need.” He wiped off his blade and sheathed it.
That was the first taste of fire the Hightowers got directly coming from Y/n Targaryen, it will surely not be the last that they see such flames.
—---------
The family dinner was a disaster, Y/n managed to break up the fight between his half-brothers and his nephews before it got even worse.
They left that night on dragon-back, getting away and hoping the drama between everyone would die down for a while.
Little did they know that Viserys passed away just as quickly, and soon the greens have taken advantage and have usurped the throne from the rightful heir and placed Aegon on the throne.
While Y/n was on Dragonstone, he had no idea of what had happened. Until Daemon came and told him.
Which led to this very moment.
Standing around the painted table, plotting the war to get Y/n back on the throne. While the men were all standing around the table, pointing out possible allies and places for resources if possible. Y/n stood next to his sister, unsure of what he needed to do, this is the worst he had feared of what was going to happen and now it has become reality.
“The greens also have dragons uncle, there has not been a dragon fighting another dragon since Maegor’s reign.” Y/n argued.
“We also have dragons. They have three adult ones by my count, we have Seiphax, Syrax, Caraxes, Vermax, Arrax, Tyraxes, Meleys. Baela has Moondancer. There is also Seasmoke who is riderless, there are also wild dragons here on Dragonstone. We have over ten to their three, we easily outnumber them.” Daemon said, wanting to already have this war started.
“No.” All eyes turned to Y/n now.
“What do you mean Your Grace?” One of the Maesters asked.
“If we go after them with force, we will only come back with broken bones, injuries, burn marks and most likely dead dragons. I would not underestimate Aegon so easily.” Y/n spoke, focused on the map in front of him.
His eyes drifted to the end of the table, there was always one place that the greens would have control so easily, that place also had one more dragon.
“No one takes action unless I say so. Get as many allies as we possibly can, prepare the ravens Maester.” He said walking around the table, getting to the other end of it. The bottom of the map where the name Oldtown sat.
“We should bear those messages uncle.” Jace offered.
“Did you not hear what I said? I will be the only one taking action unless I give you permission. You need to stay here in case something goes wrong with me. Do you understand?” Y/n’s gaze hardened on his nephew.
Jace nodded at his uncle’s words. Rhaenyra on the other hand followed her brother out of the room.
“Brother, what are you doing? We can’t sit by and do nothing while Aegon sits on your throne.” Rhaenyra spoke quickly.
“Who said I’m doing nothing? The best way to handle such things is not to go after it with force, but rather use what we can to force it out. The greens will be on their knees begging for mercy after what I do.” Y/n turned away with a wicked smile.
Going to Seiphax, climbing onto its saddle that was just barely able to be put onto the dragon’s back, it seemed that the black-scaled dragon had once again doubled in size. It was almost as big as, if not bigger than Vhagar.
“Soves!” Seiphax took to the skies once more, this time it was not for anything nice.
They flew south for three days, before they finally got a glimpse of Oldtown from above. The city has not yet seen the dragon, but Y/n did not care as he began to fly lower and lower, until the entire city had the dragon’s shadow over it.
And that is when he heard it, the battle horn being blown. Oldtown has called its banners to war.
The fire of the tower had turned green, the banners of House Hightower rose as the armies formed quickly to defend its city. But what could they do against a dragon? Nothing.
Y/n’s target was not the city first, it was the Starry Sept. The place where the high Septon had once called his family 'abominations’. Queen Visenya was right, they should have burnt it down while they had the chance. Visenya had once said to King Aenys to burn it down and turn it to a second Harrenhal, well it was going to be just that.
Circling above the Starry Sept before he flew down quickly and yelled out a single command.
“Dracarys!” Seiphax complied with his rider’s command and began to set aflame to the sept, roasting whoever was still inside.
Y/n had Seiphax breathe his flames over the sept at least five times before he decided to burn the city; the dragon’s flames were no longer red or yellow, but rather the flames had turned black.
The burning of Oldtown as a whole had turned into a second Harrenhal, the city was engulfed in Seiphax’s black flames. Y/n had single handedly destroyed the entire line of House Hightower, as no one had managed to get out of the city under his eyes. The Hightowers all hid inside of their home, the dragon’s black flames engulfed them entirely and soon were nothing more than ash and bone.
What Y/n did not expect was another dragon meeting him in the sky, it was Tessarion and its rider Daeron Targaryen; the youngest son of Viserys and Alicent Hightower. However, Tessarion was no match for the powerful Seiphax.
Tessarion circled around the bigger dragon making it harder for Seiphax to catch him, but what Daeron did not know was that Y/n had no intention of backing down, Y/n’s goal was to kill the dragon.
Tessarion continued to circle the bigger dragon until Seiphax had enough and began to charge, turning its head to follow the smaller and its circling. The bigger dragon followed its movements before speeding up, its wings catching the wind as it went after Tessarion. Seiphax blew its fire towards Tessarion hoping to slow him down, the smaller dragon slowed down but Seiphax managed to catch up completely. Daeron managed to get his dragon to duck out of the way, but this only caused the dragon’s downfall.
When Tessarion moved away, Seiphax flapped its wings harder to speed up. Seiphax comes up on the right side of Daeron’s dragon before digging its teeth into Tessarion’s right side, the bite was not deep as Seiphax retreated its bite.
Only for Seiphax to rip out Tessarion’s right wing. The blue queen roared out in pain before it began to fall towards the earth. Daeron tried to hold onto the ropes of his saddle, but his grip slipped and began to free fall. Y/n had Seiphax fly downwards, the heir had managed to grab ahold of Daeron’s arm and pulled him up.
Daeron tried to kill Y/n as he pulled out a dagger and attempted to slice the other’s throat open. The older dodged out of the way and slapped the dagger out of his hands. “You do anything else, I will drop you. No one, not even your own mother will find your remains.” Y/n spat with a glare, looking over his shoulder.
Daeron could do nothing, his dragon had just died, he had no other weapon, Oldtown was burning, all of the Hightowers had died. There was no one to help him anymore, he could only do as his half-brother says and hope for the best that he does not die.
Seiphax flew back to Dragonstone in only two days' time, the dragon picked up speed and managed to get back early. The morning they arrived back, everyone had been awoken by the sound of wings flapping outside and a roar that shook the earth. Landing beside the castle of Dragonstone, Seiphax let his rider down along with his hostage.
Dragonkeepers and guards gathered around to see what had happened, many were shocked to see Prince Daeron covered in ash and soot, but was also surprised to see Tessarion was nowhere in sight.
“Your grace, what has happened.”
Y/n pushed Daeron to move forward as he got off of Seiphax. “I’ll explain inside. Put his hands in chains, he has already tried to kill me on my dragon.” The guards nodded and took Daeron away. Y/n gestured for the maesters to follow him inside.
Walking through the gates of the castle, he was greeted by different guards, servants and a very worried Rhaenyra. “Brother, what did you do? I just saw Daeron being taken away by the guards, did you go to Oldtown?” She asked, tugging on his sleeve.
They walked to the room with the painted table, where a bunch of lords and Daemon were present as well as his nephews. He waited for everyone to quiet down before speaking.
“Oldtown is in flames. The Starry Sept is burnt down, every member of house Hightower is dead within Oldtown. I have captured prince Daeron, for now he is our hostage. He is defenseless, he has no one to help him.” Y/n simply said. Daemon had a smile on his lips as he heard the words of his nephew.
Everyone around the table began to whisper, but no one dared to actually speak up against the heir, that is until Princess Rhaenys spoke up.
“Your grace, when I fled from the dragon pit I could have burnt them but I chose not to. Because that would have been the starting of a war, I would not have it start because of me. But now, Oldtown and the Starry Sept have been burnt, Alicent would not hesitate to come after us and burn us as well.” Rhaenys reasoned.
Y/n’s lips pulled into a wicked smile. “Why do you think I have Daeron?” The room was silent, all one could hear was the fire cracking.
“Alicent would be too scared to come after us, the only thing she can do is order Aegon around. But, if we have enough allies secured, and we have Daeron as a bargaining chip. She would not dare have Aegon hurt him. Once word reached to her Oldtown has been burnt to ash, she will know who she is dealing with.” The last part felt like spitting fire, the flame within has been caged for too long now he was letting it out.
“If the greens do decide to fight back? What then?” Someone asked.
“If they do decide to fight back, we still have enough dragons to outnumber them. Along with armies and allies, we can have every green’s head on a spike before the fucking moon turns.” Daemon said, his words made Y/n smile.
“We are Targaryens. If it is me who started this war, I will see it to the end. Descended from conquerors, we do not run from our fight.”
Rhaenyra looked to her brother and smiled, same with Rhaenys through her eyes said ‘you know the consequences’. Daemon smiled, Jace, Luke, Rhaena and Baela all looked at each other knowing they would win.
Everyone else in the room begins to plot their battle strategies, seeing which allies they have and who has been secured.
Soon enough, word had reached Alicent Hightower and her father that Oldtown had been burnt down. They say it was a black dragon that was as big as Vhagar that had done it, no one had made it out of the city.
Alicent already knew it was Y/n, years ago Y/n told her that he knew of her family’s intention, and now she was paying the price for not taking the words seriously. Days later, a raven arrived at the Red Keep telling Alicent that her youngest son Daeron was on Dragonstone being held hostage.
‘If you want your son back, dethrone Aegon and I will take my place as the rightful heir. I will spare your family, your children will have places in my court and no harm shall come to them. Make your decision quickly. Not much of my patience remains.’
That was what the letter wrote, Alicent did not know what to do. Y/n would not put her children to the sword if she surrendered, but Aegon was still on the throne and now he would not back down so easily. So, she merely told Aegon to go and speak with Y/n, bring Aemond if he wished.
A week later, Aegon showed up with Aemond on both Sunfyre and Vhagar. Y/n had been expecting them, and so Seiphax was behind him. The dragon was now seen as bigger than Vhagar.
“Brothers. Come to take back my hostage?” Y/n said in an unusual tone of voice.
“Give us back Daeron, and no one would get hurt.” Aegon spoke sternly.
Y/n let out a heartful laugh before replying. “Hurt me? Have you seen Seiphax? He could destroy you both! But enough about me, you would at least want to see Daeron right?” He gestured with his hand to bring him forward.
They made Daeron kneel as he was brought forward, Aegon and Aemond were stunned to see their brother in chains. “Let him go.”
“And you promise to dethrone yourself, Aegon?” The said male stayed silent. “No, I didn't think so.”
Meleys and Caraxes landed behind them. “So what will it be?” Aegon and Aemond both unsheathed their swords.
This battle went down in history as the one the bloodiest duels that ever happened during the Targaryen civil war.
Y/n Targaryen had managed to disarm both Aemond and Aegon before he injured them badly that they could not even move, one of Aemond’s hands had suffered so much damage that it would not stop shaking. When given the opportunity to pick up his sword again, the sword would slip through and his hand could not even lift it. Aegon on the other hand had both of his legs broken so he could not stand, but as Y/n claimed it so that ‘you may never go back on Sunfyre and fly again.’
Both of Aemond’s legs had also been slashed and stabbed as well, this was done because Y/n said it was ‘your consequence of following your brother.’
Their dragons did not have any easier fate.
Meleys had managed to injure Sunfyre and rip off one of its wings.
Caraxes had almost killed Vhagar if it wasn’t for Y/n telling Daemon to stop.
“It is Queen Visenya’s dragon, let it be. If it dies, it should die on Dragonstone, the place it was hatched.”
Both Aegon and Aemond had stayed on Dragonstone for a few days before they left for King’s Landing.
The smallfolk looked up and saw large shadows of multiple dragons; Seiphax, Syrax and Caraxes. Y/n, Rhaenyra and Daemon were back, Y/n had come for his throne.
The queen stood in front of the gates with Helaena, shielding her from the three that had just landed. Rhaenyra and Daemon had dragged Aegon and Aemond beside them, the queen was horrified to see her sons broken and hurt.
“Dethrone your son Alicent.” Bringing Aegon beside him and pulling him up as he could not stand, Y/n unsheathed a dagger from his belt and put it to the underside of Aegon’s neck. “Or I will do it myself.”
“Mother…please…” Aegon practically begged and pleaded to his mother that she do as his brother wanted. Alicent could only nod as she blinked back tears.
“Wait…where is Daeron?” She dared to ask. Y/n tilted his head as he sheathed his dagger.
“I am true to my word unlike you. He is safe on Dragonstone, after I am crowned he will be brought here. He will be properly taken care of.” He handed Aegon over to Rhaenyra as he began to walk inside.
Pushing open the doors of the throne room, the guards almost attacked him but then stopped as they saw their king in the hands of Rhaenyra not being able to walk, while Aemond was being held by Daemon who had Dark Sister strapped to his belt.
Walking up the steps to the Iron Throne before he finally sat down, he had got the throne but there was something missing. And he knew what it was.
Going down to Aegon as on top of his brother’s head was still the conqueror’s crown, taking it for himself but his uncle Daemon offered to crown him. Y/n nodded as he knelt down as Daemon put the crown up on top of his nephew’s head.
This was a temporary crowning as the ceremony will be the official one that deems Y/n king of the realm. But, Y/n had a reason he wanted the crown now.
“Bring Otto Hightower to me.” He said to the guards, Daemon glared at them which made them comply, but also because of their scared queen.
Otto was soon brought into the room, looking confused before his expression turned that into a scared one. “Your grace…” Was all he could say.
“Otto, you really are a snake. My father could not see it, but I surely can. Even from a young age I could tell all you wanted was your own blood on the throne. But look here we are, your grandsons barely able to move or even just stand.” Y/n said all with a wide smile.
“You got what you wanted, but why did you burn down Oldtown?! My family had no part in this!” Otto shouted back.
“Right, it wasn’t the Starry Sept that called my family abominations. It was not Oldtown that supported Alicent to do what she did. But, that was all in the past. The real reason?” Everyone waited for his answer.
“History remembers names, not blood. If this war was fought and we still won, it would be Aegon’s name that is remembered, not mine. I needed to do something I could be remembered for when I sit on this throne. I turned Oldtown into a second Harrenhal.” The wicked smile is not leaving his face.
Before Otto could even reply, Y/n had gestured for Daemon to put on his sword to the Hand’s neck. And with one hand gesture, Daemon slit Otto’s throat.
“Tell servants to clean up the mess. Take Aegon and Aemond to the maester to get treated, I have other things I must see to.” Was all Y/n said as he left the room.
Daemon and Rhaenyra looked at each other before nodding, they would go back to Dragonstone to prepare for everything else.
Seven days passed before Y/n Targaryen was officially crowned as the ruler of Westeros and of the Seven Kingdoms as a whole, they found a septon that had remained in King’s Landing to host it. Daemon may or may not have threatened him a bunch of times.
During the coronation, Y/n’s family all stood to the side. His half-siblings on one, while Rhaenyra and Daemon and his nephews stood to the other.
“Y/n Targaryen, First of his name, King of the Andals, the Rhoynar, and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm.”
With that, the conqueror’s crown was placed on his head. Looking to the crowd as he unsheathed Blackfyre. The crowd cheered for him as they saw the rise of their new king. Daemon was now his hand and so was Rhaenyra, it was the only time in Targaryen history that a single king had two hand of the king.
Aegon and Aemond were given places in court as Masters of Whispers, Helaena became Rhaenyra’s lady-in-waiting, Daeron was with his brothers but he became a personal guard to court. To Y/n, they were still family and in their youth they had been friends at one point.
Alicent. She was basically on house arrest as she was not allowed to leave the Keep. Her children took care of her as she grew older.
Y/n never did marry. He refused to have children, and as he was crowned he made it so that his sister would succeed him if he died, and Daemon would be king consort alongside her. Then, Jacereys would take after her.
Aegon and Aemond never again flew on their dragons nor did they ever pick up a sword, but they knew they were already spared from their brother’s executioner. Same with Daeron as well. All three men knew they were already far from the flames of Seiphax.
The Targaryen civil war that would be known as the dance of the dragons would go down in history, however, the final act to end the war for everyone to remember is that Prince Y/n Targaryen burnt down Oldtown and the Starry Sept beyond repair. But also, he would be remembered for ending the entire Hightower bloodline single-handedly, turning that city into a second Harrenhal.
His dragon will also be remembered as they lived beyond the king’s years.
Seiphax; the second Balerion.
Y/n Targaryen would go down in history being remembered as a king.
His title?
King Y/n ‘two-faced’ Targaryen. First of his name, King of the Andals, the Rhoynar, and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm.
The unpredictable king. The virgin king. The second conqueror.
But one thing was for sure.
He mended House Targaryen so they forever stood strong.
Y/n Targaryen was the true blood of Old Valyria. Just like his ancestors, he was a true Targaryen.

(sorry for the inaccurate high valyrian i dont speak the language)
Tumblr media
You let out a yawn, the sheer banality of this morning's affair was shocking to you.
At Rhaenyra's request you were sat by her side as she listened to petitions from various Lords from all over the realm offering her their hand in marriage.
You scowl at the man before you, he had been going on about the state of his castle. Nothing of interest to you and certainly not to the Princess. If this was his idea of wooing a lady only the gods knew how he would be like as a husband.
"Bisa vala iksis uēpkta than aōha kepa."
(This man is older than your father.)
Rhaenyra's face contorts in amusement at your remark before looking down at her hands, fiddling with her rings out of disinterest.
"Tell me, lord Dondarrion did you think my great grandmother was as beautiful as they say?"
The Princess interupts the man mid sentence and you shake your head in disapproval.
Rhaenyra..
"This was half a century ago Princess" Lord Dondarrion responds, perplexed.
"Yes it was."
The entire court erupts with laughter, you stiffle a grin yourself.
The older man sulks before walking away, being last to catch on the Princess making a mockery of him.
"Bona iksin unseemly, dārilaros."
(That was unseemly, princess.)
Rhaenyra glances at you with a sly smirk before rolling her eyes.
"Issa unseemly syt zirȳla naejot jiōragon nyke zȳhon ondos."
(It is unseemly for him to offer me his hand.)
Boremund glares at the two of you. You throw him an innocent smile, very well knowing he has no notion of what is being said between you.
"Next!" He exclaims.
You were itching for these proceedings to conclude.
A young boy, he must have been no older than 10 and 2. You recognised his sigil, house Blackwood.
You fail to suppress your amusement paired with disbelief, an involuntarily laugh escapes your lips.
Rhaenyra mirrors your baffled expression.
"And now a boy." The Princess says with an exasperated tone.
"The Blackwoods are an ancient house with a formidable army. In the riverlands they once ruled as Kings." Lord Boremund states.
Rhaenyra nods, she decides to give the poor boy a chance.
He goes on and recites a rather well rehearsed speech. Voice trembling but otherwise full of conviction.
A rictus, albeit kind smile painted on Rhaenyra's face.
She is not convinced.
"If chosen as your match Princess, your days shall be easy and night's safe under my protection."
The boy says and you purse your lips, trying not to laugh aloud once again.
"Protection? The Princess has a dragon you dumb cunt."
One of Rhaenyra's many suitors exclaims from the crowd and the boy unsheathes his sword, summoning a challenge.
You roll your eyes. Whether it be a man grown or a little boy, they are all the same.
"We're leaving." Rhaenyra stands, swiftly grabbing your hand. Taking your leave by her side and matching her strut.
"Ser Criston, send word to the harbor and have Captain Oswin ready the ship for you."
"Lady y/n and I will leave on Dragonback. We will see you back at King's Landing."
Criston glances at you in confusion and you only give him a shrug.
"Princess, we're due in Bitterbridge in 3 days time."
Rhaenyra stops in her tracks, You, Criston and his men followed suit. The Princess glares at the Knight and he opposes for a moment before relenting.
"Very well, Princess."
--
Rhaenyra grabs your arm again forcing you to pick up the pace. You eventually find yourselves alone in a dimly lit hallway far from the commotion in the other room.
"Nyra–" You yelp, as she expertly pushes you up against a wall her hand resting against it.
She leans in capturing your lips into a searing kiss. You melt at the feeling of her mouth against yours, simply aching for her.
Rhaenyra's hands find your waist as she disconnects your lips. You nearly shiver under her intense stare. She watches your chest heave as you attempted to catch your breath. You notice her breathing just as heavily.
"I have been dying to do that all morning."
She kisses you again, this time your hand finds the back of her neck pulling her impossibly closer.
"Istin emagon ao sir."
(I must have you now)
Rhaenyra shifts her attention to your neck, placing wet kisses against it. You don't suppress the shiver this time and immediately feel her grin form against your neck.
"Ēdā nyke mōrī bantis."
(You had me last night.)
You tease, hand moving to rest on her shoulder.
"One night is not enough" She whispers before taking your bottom lip in between her teeth tugging at it. She kisses you again.
"With you it is never enough."
Your mouth opens wider and her tongue comes into contact with yours. A moan spills out of you directly into her mouth and Rhaenyra hums against your lips.
A rush of arousal shoots directly to your core. Rhaenyra would have her way with you infront of the entire court if she could.
Gods, you wish she would.
Rhaenyra lifts up your thigh and runs her hand under your dress resting it on your ass. You wrap your leg around her waist reflexively giving her easier access. A glimmer in her eyes as she takes the opportunity to slip her hand underneath your smallclothes, she could feel how wet you were as she swipes a finger through your folds.
"Rhaenyra, what if someone sees us?" You whimper as you fight the urge to grind your wanting core against her hand.
She leans forward, placing another kiss on your neck before sinking her teeth into it earning a desperate moan from you.
"I really don't care." She whispers and you feel your legs grow weaker.
Rhaenyra presses her palm against your center and you feel yourself move against her hand wantonly. She dips a finger into your entrance and you let out another moan.
"Ah– Rhaenyra, wait please."
You wanted to kick yourself for stopping her but you couldn't risk getting caught, not here.
Rhaenyra sighs before removing her hand from underneath your dress completely and you stand up on both feet. Your hands don't leave her shoulders however, needing the support.
"Issa daor litse."
(It is not fair)
You breathe out, after a moment's silence.
"Hm?"
"Lo nyke sia vala nyke could gūrogon ao naejot Zaldrīzesdōron se mazverdagon ao ñuha ābrazȳrys."
(If I were a man I could take you to Dragonstone and make you my wife.)
"Nobody would question it."
You suddenly feel tears well up in your eyes. Rhaenyra notices and places a tender kiss on your forehead. You quickly wrap your arms around her.
The both of you stay like that for a beat.
"Then take me to Dragonstone." Rhaenyra simply states.
You scoff.
"Do not mock me, Princess."
Rhaenyra lets out a chuckle before stepping away from you, intertwining your fingers.
"No, it isn't fair."
She lifts your intertwined hands to her lips and plants a kiss on the back of your palm.
She guides you down the hallway and the two of you resume your walk.
"Ivestragī's jikagon lenton."
(Let's go home)

Accusations and Words | Daemon x Reader
Tumblr media
I AM A SIMP FOR DAEMON RN.
S/N = son’s name
D/N = daughter’s name
if anyone wants me to make this a series, feel free to name the kids!
(Laena never married Daemon, their kids exist with an unnamed father, obvi no Rhaenyra & Daemon.)
This piece has no identifying features for reader other than a non-blonde hair colour, and is NOT of targaryen descent.
CONTENT WARNING: swearing, blood, child abuse, fighti- honestly, its game of thrones, lets be real here.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Y/N and Daemon burst into the hall, the doors flying open, (a knight behind said door was startled by their entrance).
Rhaenyra looked almost relieved as her uncle and his wife arrived after the handmaiden had been sent to fetch them. Luke was to her left, Jace in front of him, while Daemon and Y/N's son, of age ten, and daughter, of age seven stood to Rhaenyra's right. S/N held his sisters hand, as she hid behind him, her face buried into his back.
"S/N! D/N! What happened?" Y/N ran directly to her children, placing a hand on the side of her son's face, looking at his bruised eye and bloody nose. Her other hand briefly grabbed Rhaenyra's, squeezing it in thanks, for protecting her children.
Daemon, on the other hand, stood next to his wife, narrowed eyes aimed at Queen Alicent, taking in the sight of her enraged expression, and the Maester stitching up his beloved nephew.
D/N didn't move from behind her brother, while (S/N) looked at his mother, speaking to her quietly, "Aemond took Vhagar, he hit Rhaena and was going to kill Luke. He- He.." S/N looked down at his feet, "He called us bastards. Luke, Jace, Me and D/N. It was Jace's knife but I cut him I swear."
Y/N just nodded and sighed quietly, looking at her son before standing, S/N standing in between his mother and Rhaenyra.
Rhaenyra spoke calmly, "There was an incident involving the children. Jace and S/N... defended their siblings and Laena's daughters."
"Defended? Defended you say! My son has been maimed. Your sons are responsible. They were trying to kill him." Alicent almost squealed towards the family, Aemond refusing to turn to look at anyone, even his mother.
Y/N simply directed her daughter towards her father, who simply plucked the small child from the floor, tucking her head into his neck, holding her tightly.
Rhaenyra stood tall, "it was our son's who were attacked and forced to defend themselves. Vile insults were levied against them."
Y/N looked to Daemon who stood close to her right, it was an easy guess as to what these insults pertained too. Alicent had always whispered and questioned the legitimacy of both Rhaenyra and Y/N's children. While Rhaenyra's sons were clearly that of Ser Harwin Strong, (a fact Rhaenyra had been honest about to both Y/N and Daemon) they had all agreed to keep it a secret for the safety of her family.
Daemon was always angered by these rumours, his son carried her hair, both his children carried his pale complexion and his daughter had inherited his Targaryen locks. It was clear D/N was his child, a spitting image of Daemon with her mother's face. His son took Daemon's face, even his expressions the young boy had yet to learn to hide.
Viserys finally limped into the room, moving forward slowly away from the throne with his cane, "I will have the truth of what happened. Now."
The children in the room burst into words, Aemond yelling how he was attacked for no reason, Rhaena and Baela accusing the prince of stealing their mother's dragon, Luke and Jace backing the girl's claims, throwing out accusations of Aemond's attacks.
Y/N's children stayed silent, her daughter still clutching at her father, and her son had his eyes trained fiercely at the King, almost refusing to let his resolve crack under the pressure.
The adults in the room simply stood and watched, until Viserys called for silence. "Aemond. I will have the truth of what happened. Now."
Alicent quickly turned to her husband, "What else is there to hear? Your son has lost an eye!"
Viserys simply ignored his wife, "It was a regrettable accident."
"They meant to kill my son! Prince Lucerys and S/N brought a blade to the ambush."
Y/N was quick to add her piece, "Not only was Rhaenyra's integrity questioned, but mine as well. The Prince Aemond called our children bastards, Your Grace. To question the legitimacy of our children's lineage? That is the highest of treasons, Your Grace."
Viserys addressed his brother's wife, "Prince Aemond will be sharply questioned so we might learn where he heard such slanders."
Alicent scoffed "Over an insult? Over training yard bluster?"
Viserys stepped towards his youngest son, "You tell me boy, where did you hear this lie?" The boy avoided eye contact with his father.
"Aemond. Look at me. Your king demands an answer. Who spoke these lies to you?"
Aemond hesitated for a second, his eyes raising to his mother, before is voice sounded out in the room, "It was Aegon."
Viserys flung his attention to his other son, and almost hissed out at the gob smacked Prince.
"And you, boy? Tell me the truth of it!" Viserys was quickly losing his patience.
Aegon simply looked at the floor "Everyone knows. Just look at them."
Viserys stepped back to his throne, addressing the room "This interminable infighting must cease. All of you. We are a family. Now make your apologies and show good will to one another."
Alicent held her chin high, her eyes watering, "Good will cannot make him whole again. There is a debt to be paid."
Y/N, Daemon and Rhaenyra watched the exchange between the two monarchs with baited breath, each hoping that Viserys would not backing down from his rage-fuelled wife.
Daemon handed his daughter to Corlys, who had left his grand-daughters with his wife. He could feel the tension in the room arise again, and was waiting for it to peak.
However, Alicent had already made up her mind, "If the king will not seek justice. The Queen will. Ser Criston, bring me the eye of Lucerys Velaryon and S/N Targaryen. They can choose which eyes to keep, a privledge they did not grant my son."
As Ser Criston took a step forward, Viserys was quick to halt to knights progress. Rhaenyra pushed her sons behind her, as Daemon stepped forward, slightly in front of his wife and son. Corlys was quick to grab the rest of the Targaryen children and muster them away from the commotion towards his wife.
A handful trusted knights who were loyal to the two Targaryen's and their families had stepped closer to Rhaenyra and Y/N. The knights priority was the two women, Daemon's hand rested on the hilt of his sword. (Every man and his dog knew Daemon could handle himself if it came down to a fight.)
"Alicent. this matter is finished. Do you understand." Viserys addressed the room next, "And let it be known, anyone whos tongue dares to question the birth of my grandsons, nieces or nephews, should have it removed."
Rhaenyra stood tall, "Thank you, Father."
Daemon simply made eye contact with his brother, and nodded firmly silently thanking his brother for protecting his family. Viserys gave his brother a small nod in return.
Y/N turned to her husband, grabbing his hand off the hilt of his sword, holding eye contact as they began to communicate without words. Daemon sighed, nodding his head sadly squeezing his wife's hand.
Rhaenyra had turned around, her back to the rest of the room, and took a few steps to move closer to the children, still huddled together behind them.
Yelling made Rhaenyra stop in her tracks, turning in horror, "Y/N! Behind you!"
The next few seconds were chaos, one second, yelling from Viserys and Ser Harrold filled the room, "Alicent!" "Hold your approach". "Stay your hand, Cole!" "Stay with the King!" "Mother!" "Y/N! No!"
The next, Y/N was hold Alicent's forearms as she brandished the Kings valyrian steel knife towards her.
Y/N could see the knights surround her and the Queen, as well as he husband intercepting Criston Cole from moving closer to the two women.
Alicent looked at Y/N in horror, and almost whimpered out her words, "What have I done but what was expected of me?"
Y/N was almost sympathetic towards the women, "Alicent, You've gone too far."
"You take my son's eye, and to even that, you feel entitled."
"Exhausting, isn't it? Hiding beneath the cloak of your own righteousness. But now - now they see you as they are."
Alicent cried out and pushed Y/N away, dragging the blade down Y/N's forearm. Blood pouring down her hand, gathering into a puddle on the floor.
Y/N gasped and pulled away, gripping her arm, she fell backwards, and was caught by Rhaenyra, a deathly gaze on her face, directed at Alicent. "Are you proud of yourself, 'Your Grace'?"
Daemon moved quickly over to his wife, his face showing no emotion, and attended to her arm, ripping fabric from her dress to wrap her arm tightly, trying to stop the blood that was still flowing down her hand.
The King was yelling at his wife in the background, who was swiftly removing her children to their chambers, the other bystanders in the room heeding the King's warnings, making their own exits and dispersing into the castle.
Y/N rested her head on her husbands shoulder, shaking slightly in his grasp. Daemon was whispering comforting words in her ear, trying to calm her down.
Rhaenyra had pulled her two oldest children close to her, watching as Daemon picked his daughter up, while Y/N held her son by his shoulders.
Y/N looked at her daughter in her husbands arms, Rhaena and Baela holding themselves close to Rhaenys, Jace and Luke who watched their mother with tears in their eyes.
She took a shaky breath, "We need to be careful, I always knew Alicent was trying to get us, but the events of tonight have finally revealed the lengths she will go too. Rhaenyra, I know his your father, Daemon, your brother, but we can no longer rely on Viserys to protect us any longer. Corlys, Rhaenys, I must apologise to you, your grand daughters don't deserve to be dragged into our mess."
The group was quiet as Y/N's words sunk in. Corlys ushered his wife and grandchildren from the room, Rhaenyra following behind after embracing Y/N closely.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
S/N grabbed his mothers hand as the four walked back to their chambers, Y/N looking at a worried Daemon, "I know I wanted to stay in King's Landing, to be near our family, but maybe it would be safer for us and our children to go to Dragonstone. We should ask Rhaenyra to come with us."
Daemon barely reacted, looking up to look at his distressed wife. He pulled his daughter closer, and briefly looked at their son. "Let the children rest, we can speak to Rhaenyra first thing in the morning. For now, let us ignore the issues within the walls and be with our family."

Yandere mother-in-law Visenya Targaryen and daughter-in-law reader and yandere husband Maegor Targaryen.
~ Maegor discovers his reader first. Although he was married to Ceryse for twelve years, he still had no heir. That's why he decided to look for a woman to give him heirs. After his father's death, he will make his decision alive after adopting the dragon named Balerion, known as the Black Horror.
~ He sees the reader when he goes to the Red Fort to attend a meeting. It will immediately gather information about who the reader is. Visenya doesn't know what to decide when Maegor asks her for help. However, as soon as she sees the reader, she develops inclinations towards the reader like her son.
~ She accepts her as a daughter he never had. She believes wholeheartedly that the reader will be able to give her many grandchildren. She will encourage his son's inclinations. This does not give a good result at all. Maegor King asks his brother to annul his marriage to Ceryse. If this is not accepted, she asks permission to take the Reader as his second wife. If both requests are not accepted, he will choose another path. He gets angry and will hold grudges against his brother, the council, and anyone who opposes his wishes.
~ Maegor will make a plan to take you by force. But Queen Visenya will be more cunning. She would take you as her bridesmaid and make everyone look like you died. Maegor had immediately accepted this plan. You are soon sent to Dragonstone as Queen Visenya's bridesmaid. For a few weeks, Queen Visenya chooses to wait for you to get used to them. After a few weeks, Queen Visenya says she wants to marry you off to her son. At first you object. But for the sake of your family and Westeros, you are forced to accept his plans. They lie to everyone that you are dead. Many believe this.
~ You soon marry Maegor in accordance with both Valyrian and Westeros traditions. Queen Visenya is preparing you for the evening. Maegor is trying his best not to hurt you all night long. Maegor no longer goes to his first wife's bed. Even if Ceryse suspects something, Queen Visenya silences her. He spends every night with you. She spends every opportunity she gets with you.
~ It turns out that you are pregnant almost a month after your marriage. Maegor is very proud and Queen Visenya is very happy. Queen Visenya is spending time with you and her unborn grandchild. You are trapped by two possessive dragons that stay on top of your head throughout your pregnancy. The best food for you and the baby is brought to the Castle from various parts of Westeros.
~ You don't get rid of these two dragons even while giving birth. If you ask your mother or another family member, they will say that they are your only family and that they are with you. They do not agree to leave your side until the birth is over. They don't leave you alone no matter how long it takes. Queen Visenya wipes the sweat from your forehead and face with a cloth. Maegor holds your hand with one hand, while the other supports you on your shoulder. They both support you verbally. Maegor gently puts pressure on your belly so that the baby can come out when needed.
~ The gender of the baby born is not important. As long as you and the baby are healthy, they don't care. Maegor will say that he is not disappointed or upset that he is not the son. You will try until you become a son. Queen Visenya agrees with her son. If it's a girl, she'll want to name the baby after herself.
~ Visenya will take care of you until you are fully recovered. For the second child, he will order his son not to approach you until your body is fully healed. He refuses to put you in danger. Maegor readily agrees so as not to endanger you.
~ Queen Visenya will teach the baby Valyrian language and history. She will learn how to use swords and other weapons from her grandmother and from the best masters. Maegor will go for rides on Dragon's back with his child.
~ Every child you give birth to is loved by them. They will all be pampered and protected. They will burn anyone who tries to harm or insult them. Maegor is trying to get you pregnant as best he can. Queen Visenya wants you to give birth to her grandchildren as long as they don't harm your health. Maegor tries very hard to be the best father for children.
~ They panic a lot when you get sick or injured. They don't stop worrying until you get better and regain yourself. They will take care of you until you regain your health. They cannot entrust you to anyone in your sensitive state.
~ They're showering you with lots of presents. Clothes, jewellery, gold, luxury and expensive fabrics, books, works of art and much more. They will provide all the necessary things so that you can do your hobbies while you are in your room.
~ Maegor would never cheat on you. From the day he married you, he does not look at or touch any other woman. Even his first wife, Ceryseni, will no longer visit. No one can tell Maegor anything about it. If Cerys and her family try to do anything about it, Maegor and Queen Visenya will silence them.
~ Punishments will be more isolation. They prefer psychological and emotional punishments more. They do not hesitate to manipulate and use guilt against you when necessary.
~ You can't escape them in any way. Even if you run away, they will find you and bring you back no matter how long it takes. No one will help you with them. (Because they are afraid.) If anyone helps, they will execute them all.

Fire Made Flesh
This castle was beautiful, a nice change of view. The smell of salty water, the sound of the waves in the dead of night... But the biggest difference is the atmosphere.
You got here in the evening, so you didn't get the chance to see the place too well before it was lit up by candles alone. But the sensation this place has, that you felt right away. Highgarden was light, easy, and uncomplicated... King's Landing is heavy, full of politics and dangerous people... And given the powerful family that sits on the Iron Throne, it couldn't be any different.
“I'm bored,” Leo speaks from his place walking next to you.
“Shh. Listen and pay attention,” the Septa whispers, and the kid gives you a very annoyed glance.
Leo, in all his five years of life, didn't want to go around the castle listening to historical explanations... Not when him, as do you, already know them all. He sighs, crossing his arms and walking angrily, stomping his feet on the ground.
You feel him. There is a lot you want to see and as guests of the King, you're free to explore the castle. But here you are, escorted by your Septa, listening to the stories she herself told you many times before.
“If you turn to your left, you will see-” The Meister is still speaking when what you predicted happens. Leo bolts off, giggling, running a bit too fast for his tiny legs.
“Leo Tyrell!” The Septa calls, just as your little cousin turns left and disappears.
There are two options. The first is your Septa trying to reach him, which won't ever happen, and the second one, the one you'll take, is yourself going after him and ditching this boring tour. “Don't worry, Septa, I'll bring him back.” You won't.
“By all the gods, go get him.” She exclaims, an apologetic look on her face. “No running!” The woman says just as you start to move.
“Then how am I supposed to find Leo?” You shout back, holding your skirts out of the way as you run through the castle.
Unlike in Highgarden, you have no idea where Leo might be going to. And the kids probably don't either. So you try to hear him, the footsteps, the giggles, and you do, for some time. But then, you have no idea where you're going, so you just look around and try to guess where a very curious boy would want to explore.
...And it doesn't really work. Soon enough, you're outside of the castle, walking through dirty, empty roads surrounding the castle. When you reach the stables, there are a lot of Tyrell men there.
“Sir Patrick.” You call one of your father's men. “What is this about?”
“My Lady.” He bows. “Your cousin Leo was seen leaving the castle on foot. We're going after him.”
That makes your bones freeze. King's Landing is well known for being a lawless city... And a little boy in expensive clothes running around alone... “Saddle my horse.” You say, and when Sir Patrick is about to protest, you raise a hand at him. “Don't. Saddle my horse.”
You're sure Sir Patrick would be right in every single thing he was about to say, but you won't let him speak fear into you. When your white stallion is ready, you pull yourself up, ordering the gates to be open. There's some resistance, but when they move, you rush right through.
King's Landing is a strange place. On your way to the castle, you didn't pay any attention to the place, not as for memorizing the path. So you just move by instinct, looking around, ignoring the people looking at you, a Lady in fine clothing on top of a white war horse, standing out in every possible way.
But you keep moving forward, until you're off the city, galloping up a dirt road, almost empty. When the people are replaced by men in similar clothes, you furrow your eyebrows, wondering where you're going. And if Leo would ever take the same path. “Leo!” You decide to call, going further up, ignoring whatever those men were saying. “Leo!”
It happens fast, so fast you don't even have time to catch your breath. The stone wall to your left ends, and in its place, a massive beast appears. The horse stops suddenly, standing on his hing legs and kicking the air as you struggle to hold on, almost slipping. “Hey, boy. Calm down!” You try to speak to it, but it's useless. The horse doesn't stop kicking, and when your hands lose their grip, you slide to the side. Lucky for you, the horse runs off the moment he's free, and you escape being crushed.
But now, you have bigger problems.
The beast, the dragon, is breathing heavily. Slowly, as slow as you dare, you sit up, raising your head to look at it. It seems agitated too, ignoring the men around it, trying to calm it down. The dragon has its eyes on you, and you know this is how you die. Burned by dragon fire... It'll be a good story to tell, at least. A dragon killed Lady Tyrell, as she looked at it straight in the face.
So, if this is it, you won't look away. Raising your eyes at the beast, magnificent, powerful... You face it, breathing deeply, waiting... It moves closer, lowering its head, and you notice when it breathes in...
“Ȳdra daor, Caraxes.” A voice suddenly speaks, and the dragon stops. The breath that comes out through its nose is only smoke.
Shaking, you turn your head to the right, to the source of the man who saved your life.
“Prince Daemon,” One of the men around the dragon says. “We couldn't stop him. She came out of nowhere with a horse and-”
“Gīda aōla.” He says, and the dragon swifts. Prince Daemon, with his eyes on you, walks over to where you're sitting, extending a hand. “Who are you, girl? And what are you doing here?”
Swallowing hard, you hesitantly take his hand, letting him pull you up gently. “I'm (Y/N) Tyrell... My little cousin he... He ran off, and they said he went into the town and I came after him.” It's hard to speak with his eyes set on you like that. “I'm sorry, your Grace. It wasn't my intention to disturb your dragon. I never came to King's Landing, and I was just trying to find my cousin.”
The Prince smirks, tilting his head to the side a little. “That's very brave of you, even more given this town's reputation.” Then, he gestures at the dragon. “Caraxes would be a quick, merciful death compared to what some people might want to do to you.”
Following the gesture, you look at the dragon. It has his eyes either on you or on Prince Daemon, you can't tell. “I agree, your Grace. Of all the millions of ways to die, dragon fire must be one of the best.”
“I see you find my dragon more interesting than me,” He says, a tone of sadness in his voice.
Blushing, you turn your gaze back at him. “Mm... A little.” You breathe out, embarrassed. “I've only heard of them, and seen some flying by a couple of times when a Targaryen has business near Highgarden... But from this close...”
“Do you wanna get closer?” He offers, and before you can remember any of the lessons you had from the Septa about modesty and prudence, you find yourself nodding.
“I mean... I'm not sure I can, your Grace. I already crossed a line ending up here.”
The Prince smiles again. “I'm offering, am I not?” With that, he takes your hand and pulls you with him towards the dragon. “His name is Caraxes.”
“He's beautiful.” You breathe out, making sure to stay just a little bit behind.
“Issa iā raqiros.” Prince Daemon says as you get even closer and the dragon lowers its head. “Sagon sȳz.”
“What are you saying?”
“To be nice towards you, since you're a friend of mine.” That makes you smile shyly. “Give me your hand.” As so you do. When Caraxes comes lower, Prince Daemon takes your hand and puts it on the dragon.
“He's hot!” You can't help but exclaim, feeling the rough scales under your palm.
“Dragons are-”
“Fire made flesh.” You burst out, then realize what you just did. “Apologies, your Grace.”
But when he looks down at you, he's smiling. “Don't. You're right. Va ñellyrty perzys... Fire made flesh.”
“Va ñellyrty perzys.” You try to repeat, but the old tongue feels odd in your mouth.
“That's good.” The prince says. “And it seems he likes you. I might bring you to visit him more times.”
It gives you hope. Hope of seeing such an amazing creature again... And hopes of being around the Prince a little more. “I'd like that very much, you Grace.”

Start of Something More - Daemon Targaryen
Anonymous asked: Hi ilove ur writings so much ur so talented im so happy that ur back again, if ur taking requests could u please write one daemon targaryen with hightower reader or reader having feelings for him but he marries laena and afterwards rhaenyra also with something like betrayal during the dance i know im just rumbling but i trust you would make a masterpiece ur so good with ideas and words thank you.
He hates your father. Your father hates him. Naturally, it was the Gods-ordained start of a torrid, love affair.
Tumblr media
Your father tapped the stem of his chalice and you took to your cue. Swift and in silence, as if to be invisible, you darted over to the Hand of the King. With a slight tilt of the wine pitcher, Arbor Red trickled into the half-empty cup with only the slightest noise. Then, you did a round about the table, checking the chalices of King Viserys, the Master of Coin, and so forth, pouring where more libations were needed. All while being imperceptible.
Though, from his seat as the newly appointed Master of Laws, Daemon Targaryen always seemed to see you. His eyes would trace your path during conversations of grave importance, like tithes and taxes, matters that needed legislation. Matters that needed an attentive Master of Laws, which Daemon was not. At least, not when you did your rounds.
And you could feel it, his watching. His eyes would linger on you as you found your place beside the cups and bottles once more. He would smile too, a wry expression that reached his eyes in a far too charming way and had you gritting your teeth with annoyance.
“He’s no good, Daemon.”
“The next Maegor, unless Viserys denounces him.”
“Our House will be at risk if Daemon ever sits the Throne.”
“Stay yourself away from him.”
“Daemon has a distaste for Hightower green.”
At first, you discounted your father’s words. The feud between Otto Hightower and Prince Daemon was no secret, particularly to the Hightower children. You and Alicent had endured countless recountings of court and reports of debauchery in Flea Bottom, all of which Daemon featured heavily. So countless that your father’s warnings echoed in your head whenever you met the Rogue Prince’s gaze. His eyes gleamed like signal fires; his voice rang like the siege bells.
In Small Council meetings, he was loud, pushing for laws that tightened the Crown’s grip on King’s Landing, and bright, weaving between Otto’s advice to Viserys with the cold logic of a battle-hardened knight. Daemon was everything your father warned you about, everything and more; and how alluring that more was when it shone through.
“Curating a select force of warriors to maintain the King’s peace within the city walls is vital to strengthening your entire governance, brother.”
“In the Small Council chamber, you will address his majesty King Viserys as such,” your father intervened, waving a dismissive hand at Daemon. “How do you aim to keep his peace when you fail to address your King as befitting your station.”
Daemon rolled his eyes right into you, despite your cupbearer station being tucked in the shadows of two pillars. He smiled at you, a softer thing than usual and in it, you saw that more. You felt in tickle in your chest, how it reached out from there like blooming flower petals, spreading itself until its newness was all you could detect.
So clouded by Daemon you were that you missed how your father saw everything, and everything Daemon was in his politicking mind. He coughed, and the sound broke you out of your reverie with a start. You nearly started off with the wine pitcher towards your father, but Otto placed a palm over his glass while the other squeezed at the ceramic ball that denoted his presence at the meeting.
“If we can move forth to more pressing matters, there is the cost and planning of the Princess Rhaenyra’s upcoming nameday tourney. That is if you wish to repeat the celebration from the year previous, my King?”
“Yes, of course. Though, leave the day of her birth itself unimpeded by plans. She wants the family to picnic in the Dragonpit.”
“That will ease the expense,” Lord Beesbury noted, a smile stretching through the wrinkles in his aged face.
“Not that the coffers are waning, yes?” Your father was quick to ask. Lord Beesbury began bumbling out an answer when Daemon cut through the chatter.
“Cupbearer,” you flicked your head and saw the Prince raise his chalice above the heads at the table. “I find myself in need of more wine.”
Heat eeked into your face at his calling out, but you quickly made your way over to him with the pitcher in hand. The metal of the vessel cooled you slightly, but you were warmed back to life almost as soon as you stood by Daemon. Heat seemed to emanate from him as if a fire burned beneath his skin. It didn’t help that, as you stood and poured the Arbor Red into his chalice, Daemon’s hand brushed against you.
Through the fabric that covered your thigh, you felt his knuckles. His touch shocked you into a shudder, a gesture unbecoming of a Small Council cupbearer, and you fought to regain your composure as the back of his knuckles continued to stroke. Your steady pour slowed as Daemon fell into a sort of pattern with his movement, a looping touch against you that had you floundering like a Velaryon-caught swordfish.
When you finally freed yourself from his net, you let your eyes flick down. Daemon’s gaze was already fixed on you when you looked at him, watching you, as he always did. More laced his smile, shone in his eyes. As you stepped back to return to your station, his touch lingered with his fingertips reaching after you. For a moment, you feared his grip would close about your garments and pull you back until you tripped over yourself. In your head, Daemon made you a mess with spilled wine and his lips.
Eventually, the chatter of the Small Council filtered back into your ears and tarnished any thought of Daemon’s lips. Thank the Gods.
“On account of marvelous weather,” King Viserys said suddenly, “I call this meeting to a close and order you all to soak in the sunshine.”
He stood, and the rest of the Small Council followed suit. As Viserys passed through the doors, Daemon snuck swiftly after his brother’s heels, pushing himself out of his seat with such speed that you were nearly knocked to your feet. The Prince did not spare a glance in your direction as he moved, even shouldering past you with a roughness that stood in stark contrast to his touch from mere moments before.
When Daemon charged out of the chambers, you recovered yourself with a steadying, though still trembling, breath and moved towards the wine stash. You set the pitcher to the side before fumbling for the corked bottle. Before you could clean the station entirely, you heard the familiar gravel of your father’s voice.
“Pay no heed to Daemon.”
You turned and bowed your head respectfully. When you lifted your head, you waited until the other lords and leaders of the land filed out to speak. “You have grown a sort of patience with our Prince. I fear I have yet to grow my own as he does not…regard me in the same manner as he does you.”
Otto, not quite picking up your dropped implications, nodded at you before filing out with the rest of them. You watched your father disappear behind the Small Council Chamber doors. You watched until a pang in your chest reminded you to breath. A gasp fell from your lips and your whole body shuddered, as if Daemon’s touch had never left.
A distracting warmth played with you, tickled you to the point where your cleaning of the wine station was slowed. So slowed that palace attendants filed into the room to collect the chalices for the kitchen and wipe the table to a shine. So slowed that those same palace attendants left you to yourself again.
At least, they left you for a little while for, as you finally finished, the doors crashed open, lacking any of the decorum typical of a servant in the Red Keep. You jumped at the sound, spinning on your heels, armed only with your furrowed brows and angrily muddled mind, to face whomever entered.
With his chest heaving and face flushed, Daemon was leaned over the table, his arms taut supports as he stared down at the shining stone. At the sight, you took a step back, with your rear bumping into the wine station. The wood teetering against the floor, a dull, hollow noise that brought Daemon’s eyes up to you.
“My Prince,” you bowed, trying to play off your surprise. “Apologies.”
Daemon scoffed and straightened his posture as his sharp, gliting gaze lingered on you. “For what?”
“Apologies,” you echoed, hoping to find your answer between the syllables. “Apologies for earlier, my Prince. I should have been-” your eyes fell to his hand for a moment before flicking back up before you got lost in the mere memory of his touch, “-more attentive with the pouring of the wine.”
“My, my,” Daemon drawled, stalking towards you with each step whispering of the intent of something more. “Your father has wound you up tight with the ropes of etiquette, hasn’t he? That is a true shame.”
He continued towards you, a smile pulling at his lips as you shook your head. “My father taught me a means of surviving King’s Landing.”
“He taught you how to elevate him at court,” Daemon countered, “by being a docile little lamb.”
Daemon was so close that you could smell the dragon on him, the cinders and wine. The part of you caught on what your father failed to see wondered if you would be able to taste the wine if the Rogue Prince kissed you. You had never partook despite your work. Would the fruits of your labor taste sweet or bitter?
“Though, perhaps not so docile,” he mused, his hand rising slightly, just enough to brush against the side of your thigh again. You fought the shudder that trailed his touch. “Your father would not approve of this, now would he?”
“He hates you,” you said, hoping the words would sting; but they fell from your lips deafened by the softness of the shock of getting what you wanted.
“Oh, dear, I know it,” Daemon said, leaning in. His nose brushed against yours and his breath danced about your face, your neck. More, you wanted more, and all patience grown was squandered. “This,” his wandering hand squeezed your hip and you gasped softly, “would kill him.”
You caught your breath after a moment and met Daemon’s gaze with all the strength you could muster. The Hightower of you leapt out off your tongue. “Unless he kills you first.”
“Let’s find out, shall we?” Daemon asked with a grin.
Suddenly thirsty, you leaned up and kissed him, hard. Deep. Daemon’s hands clutched at you and his body pressed you against the wine station until you were caught between its cold stone and his warmth. It was delicious, and the fruits of your labor sweet.

Jaehaera Targaryen (oc)

How did everyone react to her growing up and becoming more… scandalous? (Part 1)
Warning: small intervals of absolutely filthy smut— you’ve been warned.
Post “brothel incident”
Viserys
Where to begin…
The man man was absolutely belligerent when he found out about the small “trip” Daemon had taken Jaehaera and Rhaenyra on.
I think we all know that Daemon would get the brunt of it. He gets banished, as we know, and Rhaenyra is given the moon tea— which Jaehaera witnessed.
The banishment she did not. She would find that out later, early in the morning.
No, she was with Rhaenyra all the way through. As Viserys chewed into his heir more viscously than he’d ever before. I’m fact, Jaehaera may have even viewed him as a threat; the feeling would nullify not to long after however. She sat back, out of respect and some fear by the hard glare her father had given to her when she tried to argue for Rhaenyra. There she sat, until her father left— without a word said to her— and she watched as a cup was placed in front of Rhaenyra by one of the maesters.
Thus her hatred for them intensified ten fold.
She saw the way Rhaenyra’s eyes welled up with tears, and Jaehaera even offered to toss it out the window.
“No one need know Nyra. Just ask me so and it’ll be done.”
Rhaenyra shook her head and downed it in one gulp. A single tear trailed down the girls cheek, flicked off by the soft pad of Jaehaera’s thumb. She kneeled before the other princess, holding her face close to her own, whispering sweet nothings and hymns in valerian. It only took a few minutes for Rhaenyra to fall asleep, like putty in the magical girl’s hands, and that’s when Jaehaera bid her goodnight with a kiss.
Jaehaera would then seek out her father, pinning the growing knot to the depths of her stomach. This would be one of the moments the girl had ever felt truly scared after being rescued. Treacherous thoughts bubbled at the surface of her anxiety like clockwork.
You’ve done it now.
You’re spoiled goods.
You’re repulsive, and there’s no getting your reputation back.
He’ll toss you aside now.
He finally sees you as you are.
She simply swallowed them back the best she could as she twisted the door knob of the hidden entrance, leading to Viserys chambers, tight enough to tame the tremor in her hands.
“Father I know I have shamed you, I come to apologize. Please do not blame Rhaenyra, she would not have gone if I had not agreed, and Daemon—,”
“He’s been banished.”
Jaehaera would be taken back by the information, but then thought she should have known. She’d stare at the back of Viserys head, for he would not look at her. So she did the only thing she knew. She groveled, and she pleaded.
“My king, I understand if you wish me gone. Just order me to do so and I’ll be gone by daylight. All I ask is that I be allowed to take Shrykos with me. We’re bonded, and I’m afraid of what she might do if separated from me—,”
“What in the seven hells are you talking about child?!” Viserys would suddenly be in front of her, eyes wide, eyebrow furrowed, and mouth agape in disbelief to what he was hearing.
“I know it’s a lot to ask, but I swear I would never use her or any other dragon against the royal family—,” Jaehaera carried on, misunderstanding his expression for outrage due to her request.
“You’re family,” Viserys interrupted, grabbing the girl by the arm to hoist her up, “You are royal. You are a dragon. You are a Targaryen— my daughter.”
His nose would scrunch up in disgust. Not at her, never at her, but at himself. Had he truly made her think such a thing? That he would give her up? After all this time, he’d at least thought he made it clear how much her cherished her.
“I am merely angry my dear,” he scoffed, “and truly not even for your actions, nor Rhaenyra’s. You’re both children and wild, so was I. I am angered by your reputations being questioned, and so easily at that. I was only hard on Rhaenyra because she is my heir. Her reputation being at stake puts her hold to the throne at risk.”
Viserys would spend hours trying to convince Jaehaera that this would mean nothing. That this event would go by, that all would be well, that she would need not worry about leaving or being asked to do so. He’d continue to remind her that this was her home. Her family. Until the sun rose, he’d tell her that. It was only when she fell asleep at his feet, after fiddling with a new wooden project, that he realized that it was himself he was trying to convince.
Were his words enough.
Viserys would from then on put a warning on Jaehaera’s name. The first time someone else questioned her honor after that day, they were dismissed, dismembered, or disappeared. This brought a hushed whisper when the princess was brought into conversation at court. But she could feel their eyes. Jaehaera just chose to ignore them, later finding it funny to wink or bite jokingly at them— making most of them flinch either way.
And when it came to favors or requests… well Jaehaera had never been denied before.
It was rather easy to have Edeline become her private maid. (The princess had offered ladyship, but the girl refused, wishing to not take part of court. However, Jaehaera forbid her from actually ever working without getting paid.)
Otto
Holy shit this man would not get off Jaehaera’s back.
Spies would always try and follow her around, find out information on what or who she was doing. Key word being try.
Jaehaera knew about them of course. You can’t exactly sneak up on a shadow. They were playing her game; they were bound to lose.
So— naturally, Jaehaera took this as an act of war, and she did what she did best… making Otto Hightower look irrelevant.
Whatever he knew, she knew first. Whenever he was conjuring up a scheme, she was there to stop it. And if he even dared to whisper in the kings ear in order to persuade his opinion— let’s just say Jaehaera was standing on the other side of her father, listening, and laughing at his audacity. Particularly when it came to the affairs of her beloveds.
“You’re majesty, you’re brother is far to rash, even if he wins the war what would stop him from creating another one from within these very walls—,”
“I could always go.” She’d suggest, practically scaring Otto out of his skin.
“To war?” Both men would ask, their tones differing greatly.
Calming the smugness threatening to rise up her cheeks, the princess nodded. “I’ve enough skill in strategy, and I’ve bested every soldier you’ve put in front of me. This is a small war as well, it should be a great one for me to begin with.”
“We’ll that would be preposterous—,”
“Very well.”
Otto almost lost his eyes due to shock that day. A woman— a princess was allowed into battle, to accompany the Rogue prince, and then proceeded to win AND rekindle the peace between the two siblings.
He was livid.
Oh and how he hated as she got closer to Alicent. His daughter had always adored the younger girl, finding no flaw. She would not here of any slander, not even from her father. Which only grew worse after he pushed her to marry Viserys.
He’d hoped that this would have put some rift in the girl’s relationship, it had with the other, Princess Rhaenyra. But no matter how hard he tried to place wicked thoughts of doubt into Alicent’s head regarding the raven haired dragon, she would become deaf to his words. She drifted from his control, became more independent. More defiant.
The only thing that brought him ease was the thought of his grandson succeeding the throne. But Jaehaera seemed to kill that dream as well.
“Perhaps if the princess were to marry… prince Aegon?”
A gagging noise came from behind him and Viserys, who also looked disgusted by the notion. Jaehaera quickly wrapped her arms around the back of her fathers chair, “The boy is barely two! That is foul.”
Viserys would hear no more of it.
All of this only egged Otto on to take revenge. And he only knew one way to do it.
He went for Jaehaera’s cherished handmaiden, Edeline.
He thought it would be the easiest, for she were a mere servant.
First, the plan was simple. Expose the true nature of the princess and the maid’s relationship to court, that way Viserys could no longer turn a blind eye, and he’d have to banish the girl from the grounds.
Yeah that didn’t work out to well…
Their breathing was haggard, filling the palace hall’s shamefully with desperate whines and the slapping of skin. Lords and Ladies passed by with burning cheeks, while others simply stopped to watch as the couple pleasured themselves— in their own room. The door was left open, inviting any onlookers to watch as the princess tossed the girl around like a rag doll. She held her thighs firm to the mattress as she ravaged her maid, before pulling away and turning her over to show the audience her weeping cunt. Or she’d bend her over the mattress, slapping the same sensitive area, then fucking her relentlessly with her fingers. Only to flip her over once again, after she had cum for the fifth time, to ride her Edeline’s face, making sure to make a good show for Otto’s spies— who had in fact opened the door (not knowing that she had left it unlocked for that very reason).
Let’s just say, she wasn’t reprimanded— and Viserys had Otto’s spies trialed.
Since that didn’t work, Otto thought he’d have someone — paid off knights— harass the poor girl instead until she finally left on her own accord.
Yeah… those guys ended up dead.
And it was only until a certain incident that he’d be able to hurt Edeline. That would also be the day his death sentence was written.
Rhaenys and Corlys
Literally could not give a shit. I stand by my statement that Corlys is an ally. He had a rough patch at first but as time past, let’s be real— he’s an ally. (He is in my story cause I said so)
Man believes in equal chances, so if men get to sleep around, then so do women. Simple as that. (Unless if they’re married and have promised to be loyal— not a Laenor and Rhaenyra situation— cause he doesn’t fuck around with infidelity.) I swear if Daemon had cheated on Laena, all hell would have broke loose.
Anyway— his son is also gay, and Laena is bi, so at this point he just has to expect that fruitiness is in his genes. And he treats Jaehaera like a daughter, so it’s not that big of a deal.
ALSO he hates Otto. So does Rhaenys. Because Jaehaera definitely talks shit about him to them all the time. There’s no doubt in my mind that she has in fact just traveled over to see them to vent and rant about how much of a pain in the ass Otto has been.
Oh, and they both know Edeline– everyone does let’s just clear the air. Corlys is kinda neutral about his feelings toward the girl. He doesn’t think anyone is good enough for Jaehaera, but Edeline makes her happy so he likes her in that since— and is kind to her/protects her when he can because Jaehaera cares for her.
Rhaenys, however, more of a love-hate relationship. No matter how hard she tries the only fault she can find in the girl is that she wished Jaehaera to be with Laena more. Selfish reason she knows. But she ships hardcore. But she definitely wouldn’t go out of her way to be cruel to her either.
(We’ll get more into that later.)
Daemon
He loves it… kinda.
Daemon revels in Jaehaera’s mischief, chaos, and numerous of scandals, which only grew after the whole brothel incident. But what he loved the most is when he’s apart of her shenanigans.
When he was banished, in the beginning he would live for the stories of what Jaehaera would do. However, as time passed and the tales grew wilder, Daemon became restless. Soon what had become fun and humorous was now something he envied and longed for.
And he promised himself that after he won the war, he would never be without the girl for too long.
Although, he didn’t expect her to appear in front of him before the battle began.
“Have you missed me, my Prince?”
The way he would have RAN to her.
It didn’t matter that she was now his height, or that she was clad in armor— begrudgingly due to her father’s request. Daemon was simply elated and showed it by tossing her in the air, before engulfing her in a hug.
“I’ll take that as a yes then.” She’d joke, petting his head like an excited dog. “You know this would not have been a problem if you would simply stop getting banished.”
“I might have to take your advice.” He whispered, laying dozens of kisses along her neck, cheeks, and finally her brow.
“Would you kindly unhand my dear friend, Prince Daemon?” Laenor would interject, only earning a glare and a shove from Corlys. “What?! We need her to debrief!”
Oh and during the battle he’d gossip like a young lady in court, wanting to know if all the rumors were true.
When he returns to court, he keeps his promise and doesn’t get banished. He leaves on his own accord, often after Jaehaera would leave as well. He couldn’t stand being in court without her. Everything always seemed rather…dull. He had Rhaenyra of course, but she felt like forbidden ground. No matter how much he wished, Daemon couldn’t bring himself to go to her. He thought he was sparing her, taking away the temptation. As if he did know what went on between her and Sir Strong. Nor did she seem to acknowledge whatever relations he had.
Speaking of relations… Daemon and Laena.
That incredible ship is also thanks to Jaehaera.
The night of Rhaenyra and Laenor’s wedding, that obviously went to shit, Jaehaera danced with everyone she found pleasant. Yet she saved the most for Daemon and Laena. She had caught the looks shared between them, and found herself intrigued. It wasn’t long before Jaehaera left the cloak that had been wrapped around her frame go, revealing a dressed made specially from this very occasion— a gift from her father.
It was rare that the princess wore a dress, and for most a once in a life time opportunity.
The silk hugged her body until it reached the end of her spine, flowing out enough for it to take up a third of the floor when she spun. It was scarlet red, to no surprise, and accented with the finest gold, highlighting the glided plates covering her breasts. She look like a temptress, ready to plunge her sword into your heart if you dared to come too close.
This caught the attention of almost every lord or lady, and Jaehaera couldn’t help but grin as she watched Daemon and Laena’s gaze flicker between her and each other. Therefore, it almost shocked the girl when Lady Laena was the first to move, making her way toward the princess with those flirtatious eyes.
Gods she was gorgeous.
And if Jaehaera hadn’t cared for Daemon, she may have simply stolen the lady away to have her all to herself. That did give her an idea though.
In between the midst of a feverish dance, the eighth of the night for the inseparable trio— where touches had grown all consuming and more persistent in nature— Daemon finally relented to the constant teasing Jaehaera inflicted on them both. He halted their movements when it was his turn with her, whilst she kept an eye on their prime target of infatuation.
“What are you playing at Issa jaesa?”
“Why? Do you not wish to play anymore?” She asked with a teasing look.
Growing increasingly more restless, Daemon gripped the back neck to cease her wandering gaze. “I don’t like being left out of the rules.”
“Aw Dae,” she cooed at him like a child whilst running her nails through his recently cut hair. “You should know by now that there’s no rules.”
She’d escape his grip with a quick, hard tug of his hair, sliding under his arm to retrieve the Lady Laena. The daughter of the Lord of Driftmark giggled as Jaehaera pulled her close, swaying to music with playful sensuality. Soon the Princess would shift their feet in a new direction, disguising it with twists and twirls, and in a few seconds the girls had escaped the frenzy of the lively dance floor.
Daemon watched closely as Jaehaera led Laena away, hand firm on her waist while continuing to whisper in her ear. He didn’t miss the wink she sent him before they made their exit however.
It too him longer to make his way through, another way for the gods to punish him once again, because every lady of age wished to seduce the rough prince who was free of engagement. And every othe lord w wanted to congratulate him on his successes or talk his ear off for a proposal.
When he finally broke free to, one might say he was running out the door. The Prince walked furiously, keeping his ears open for an either of their voices— until he noticed a crack in the wall.
Sneaking his way through the small, practically unnoticeable, entryway, Daemon finally heard them. And what he saw matched the obscenities he had been imagining all afternoon.
Hidden in the darkness of the secret passageway, Laena was pressed against the cold stone walls. Her skin was flush, matching her shallow breathing and mewling whispers muffled by the back of her own hand. Small spots of red and purple decorated the top of her breast— low enough to hide later but not now when they pressed firmly against her bodice. Whilst her dress was bunched up at her hips, which were being pinned down by Jaehaera as she ravaged the girls wetness as if it were the elixir of life.
All of this was no shock to the Prince; he knew that that the fellow dragon’s hunger battled his. Yet he couldn’t help but laugh at the position she had contorted the Lady in.
It would seem the Princess would kneel for nothing other than her duty or honor, for rather than stooping to devour Lady Laena’s cunt, she simply elevated her lover. She held the woman firm to the wall, legs laid atop her shoulders, as she held her hips and the plush of her ass. The sight drove Dameon mad with lust, and he could feel as the blood rushed to his cock, leaving a bulge for both the women to notice as proof.
“Isn’t she wonderful Daemon?” Jaehaera asked, humming each word to make Laena’s head rush with ecstasy. “Look at how she quivers against my tongue.”
Daemon did as he was told, watching as Jaehaera’s tongue pressed and prodded against Laena cunt, before answering in a low tone. “You’re both magnificent.”
Laena let out a cry at the sudden sting against her swollen bud, looking down at the princess with pleasing eyes.
“He gave us a compliment, Issa gevie nymph. Be a good girl and thank him.” My beautiful nymph
Daemon groaned at the order, rubbing himself shamelessly through his pants. And he swore under his breath as the lady followed it without hesitation.
“T-thank you my prince, you are en-enchanting as well.”
“Oh look at her Daemon,” Jaehaera cooed with a patronizing tone, “talking like a proper lady. As if she isn’t getting herself off by riding my tongue as you watch.”
Her point only being proven as Laena whines and bucks her hips up as Jaehaera pulled her face away.
“Oh don’t act like a brat now,” she said, pushing two fingers into the Lady’s mouth for her to suck on. “Not when you’re doing so well.”
At some point Daemon couldn’t take it anymore and rid of his pants, stroking himself at the filthy sight. Glancing over at him, a sinister smile makes its way up the princess’s face.
“Don’t worry Daemon, you can have fun with her after I get another one out of her.”
Another one. Daemon hand stopped at the base of his cock, knowing he would cum just at the thought if he didn’t pace himself.
“She’s already cum?” He asked, just to torture himself further.
“Yes,” Jaehaera purred, testing Laena by pushing her fingers even farther back, until she was satisfied. “She’s rather sensitive Dae, it was only seconds before you joined us.”
Removing her drenched fingers for Laena’s mouth she spread them, watching as threads of spit spread across them. “Well done love, I suppose you deserve your reward now.”
Without a seconds notice the princess curled her fingers into Laena’s warmth, watching intently as her eyes were level with the woman’s sex.
“Lo ao lua bona bē nyke’ll spill isse issa ondos.” If you keep that up I’ll spill in my hand. Daemon spoke in an array of grunts and moans as he kept fucking into his fist.
Paying no mind, Jaehaera responded simply. “Umbagon.” Wait.
Her tone didn’t help at all.
Mercilessly, Jaehaera continued to curl her fingers just right, attacking Laena’s place of pleasure just right until she could barely think for herself.
“Do you fancy Prince Daemon?” Jaehaera asked with genuine inquiry. “I saw the way you were staring at him,” she glanced over at the him for a moment as well, “and you know he fancies you.”
“Yesyesyes—,” Laena sputter as Jaehaera pressed the pad of her thumb against her clit.
Smiling adoringly at the answer, Jaehaera nodded, making sure to drive the lady before her dumb with pleasure. “Would you like to marry him?”
The question made Laena and Daemon glance at each other before looking at Jaehaera with the same confusion.
“Oh don’t look at me like that. It would be great for the both of you,” she commented with an unfamiliar twinkle in her eyes, “Daemon wouldn’t have to deal with constant annoyances, and you would be married to someone interesting rather than a simple, mediocre lord.”
Jaehaera lifted her up farther, as if she were a feather in her hand, and used the leverage to thrust her fingers into her faster, harder. Laena’s eyes went white.
“I asked you a question.”
“Yes!”
“Dameon?” Jaehaera question with a the same smile he saw that day during the festival as she danced with him for hours. “I am quite fond of her.”
He couldn’t say no.
“Yes.”
It wasn’t too long after that Laena came, her body quivering against Jaehaera’s, and whimpering as she felt her fingers leave her empty.
“No need to cry Issa gevie nymph, Daemon’s gonna take care of you now,” Jaehaera comforted her, caressing her thighs and face as she lowered her down. “And he’ll stuff you full again, if you want him to.”
Daemon’s jaw practically unhinged as he threw back his head at the idea. The most he had expected was for her mouth wrapped around him, but it would seem Jaehaera had other plans entirely.
“Is that what you want?” Jaehaera asked with a softer tone as Laena’s head bobbed incoherently. “You want him to fill you up? That way the King and your father would no longer have a choice but to wed you.”
That’s exactly what happened.
Jaehaera held Laena from behind, teasing her breasts and clit as Daemon fucked her relentlessly. He became crazed by the sight of the two women, as one crumbled between them, and the other touches were Daemon and Laena’s bodies merged. And in the end, all three shared a kiss of their own, and the two dragons helped Lady Laena become presentable once again.
When they returned to the banquet, both escorted her to her seat, whispering sweet nothings in her ear along the way. Laenor was the first to notice, and he couldn’t help but laugh in disbelief.
Later he would come up to Jaehaera as Daemon and her split ways after what seemed to be a intense conversation, and she returned to the festivities. He would pull her arm over to his side of the table with drink in hand, letting out a yelling-whisper.
“You sisterfucker!” (He would call her that from then on whenever they were bickering.)
And… we all know the rest of the night went to shit.
Daemon would also know of Edeline, and he liked to keep their interactions to a minimum because he knows how much Jaehaera cares for her. Which means to keep his jealousy at ease, he distances himself from the trigger. Not to mention… she kinda terrifies him. Jaehaera is extremely protective of her, and he didn’t want to at the wrong end of her fury… as Otto had.
Rhaenyra
✨Jealousy✨
Sorry but it needs to be said. Like don’t get me wrong, Rhaenyra wouldn’t be too obsessive or anything, but she would get jealous easily. Especially when she’s younger, first few times seeing Jaehaera sweet talk women and actually mean her flirtations— it would drive her crazy and most of the time she would just take it out on the Ladies by disregarding them in court and refusing their friendship. Don’t even get started on Edeline.
She hated the way she was constantly by Jaehaera’s side after the brothel incident. Rhaenyra was already a bit emotional after the scene because of the confrontation with her father, so seeing this random girl suddenly appear out of nowhere— who became Jaehaera’s prized, personal maid in a fortnight— really sent her over the edge. Now she had to deal with Alicent and this girl named Edeline, and Daemon was banished so she had no help to cope.
However, one could call it a little melodramatic because Jaehaera gave her the most attention between the three without any coercion.
But Rhaenyra couldn’t get over how Jaehaera began to pull away from her during the night. She would begin to not share her bed more and more frequently, until Rhaenyra inevitably married Laenor. Then she stopped sharing it entirely.
Something else that also irked the Princess a bit was when Jaehaera started to push Rhaenyra toward Sir Harwin’s advances. Of course, this wasn’t because Rhaenyra didn’t like the night, quite the opposite actually. She had fancied him before she did Sir Criston, and only Jaehaera knew. She was the only way for the two to send each other letters or gifts, yet as Jaehaera became more occupied by Edeline or someone else who caught her eye, she seemed to approve of the pair even more than before. And while Rhaenyra would pursue the relationship further later on, she thought this was Jaehaera’s way of further distancing herself.
Harwin, after the he and Rhaenyra became more intimate, would later discourage the thought. He knew them both well enough, and Jaehaera had always been honest if nothing else. So he insisted that Jaehaera simply wished for Rhaenyra to be happy as she was.
Innocent and helpful in his mind, but in Rhaenyra’s it just seemed to confirm her own paranoia: Jaehaera was drifting from her and to make up for it she gave her Sir Harwin as a substitute.
And it didn’t help that Jaehaera began to leave, or voyage more frequently after she got married— not to mention Daemon had left and married Laena, who Jaehaera adored as well. (But it’s canon that Rhaenyra also really liked Laena too, because I will have no Laena hate in this universe.)
Again— here’s where the babies come in.
She noticed after she had Jace that Jaehaera spent increasingly more time at Kings Landing when she had a baby, which she did not do for Alicent’s children— which filled Rhaenyra with delight. A tiny victory in her eyes.
Although, no matter how hard she’d try to seduce or captivate Jaehaera’s full attention—
By unabashedly flirting with her, and holding her in private or public it mattered not.
“Rhaenyra!” Jaehaera would whisper loudly in playful scolding, as the other Princess’s hand had snuck its way down to squeeze her ass as they walked down the corridor.
Or
Giggling maniacally, Jaehaera asks, “What’s gotten into you Nyra?!” She squeals as Rhaenyra kissed her where she were able. All while she stares directly at Alicent who sat only a few feet away from the pair, next to Viserys.
Oh and the “innocent” favors she asks for…
“Thank you for doing this Issa qēlos,” my star Rhaenyra said with a relieved sigh as Jaehaera’s hands massaged into her naked skin.
She was laid out bare, covered in the finest oil breast to thighs, while Jaehaera stood a over her skimming across her skin. Rhaenyra had asked her to massage where she had collected stretch marks from pregnancy, and she didn’t hesitate to help.
“Why don’t you have your handmaiden do this?” The raven haired girl mused, hands moving up and down her thighs— threateningly close to where Rhaneyra wanted her to touch the most as she ghosted passed to her stomach.
Gulping, the princess answered with a short laugh. “Their hands were to dainty.”
“Oh?” Jaehaera asked, squeezing harder below Rhaenyra’s breast— making her squeal.
One time she talked Jaehaera into bathing with her, leading to her making a whole hot spring for the two of them to enjoy while she was there for a month.
“Isn’t this fun?” Rhaenyra asked as the two women washed each others hair.
Humming, Jaehaera nods. “Reminds me of when we were younger. We were always with one another.”
There’s a brief moment of silence between the two, both reminiscing the past with fondness while brushing through the others hair. Something else they would often do in their youth, refusing all others who wished to do their hair.
“Don’t go.” Jaehaera stilled her movements, glancing back at Rhaenyra, who was already staring at her. “It could always be like this if you stay, so just don’t go.” She begged.
“I have to Nyra.”
“Why? Because father said so? You know he’d change his mind if you were to ask—,”
“Rhaenyra,” Jaehaera hand cupped her cheek, her voice growing firm. “I am going.”
Leaning into her touch, Rhaenyra looked at Jaehaera in confusion. Why would she leave me..if she knew she could stay?
It wasn’t long until her thoughts consumed her, and all she could think to do was press her lips against Jaehaera’s quickly. Maybe then she would see? She thought to herself, holding Jaehaera tight so they were chest to chest, mouths intertwined with every ounce of passion Rhaenyra could give.
And when she noticed that Jaehaera made no move to stop her, she only continued. Within seconds their bodies were entangled, making the heat almost unbearable. Eventually, Rhaenyra would find Jaehaera losing herself as well— pushing her tongue passed her teeth to battle her own. Never had Rhaenyra been so happy, never had she felt such excitement residing in the pit of her stomach, traveling to her core.
Soon, her hands began to travel, and all was well before she reach between Jaehaera’s legs, pressing her palm flat against her sex.
That’s when it all ended.
“No—,” Jaehaera tore herself away from Rhaenyra’s feverish lips. “Not yet.”
Shaking out a disappointed sigh, the princess whispered, “When?” As her lips hovered so close to the ones she had longed for, for years.
“When everything is done.” Jaehaera answered softly, a small smile putting Rhaenyra to ease, even when she had no idea what she was speaking of.
However, the next day, Jaehaera had left— three days before she had told Rhaenyra she would leave. And suddenly, Otto was banished, and Rhaenyra was told of the horrible tragedy that took place mere hours after they returned back to the palace.
Jaehaera didn’t return for a long time, only making a brief appearance at Laena’s funeral, then to leave before Rhaenyra and Daemon married.
Only one letter seemed to bring her back, mentioning of treason, and that Otto had returned. And she came back with a new vengeance in her eyes.
Laenor and Laena
To start off.. I put these two together because first, Laenor is the reason Laena knows of Jaehaera’s scandalous behavior, before she meets her of course. The man can’t keep his mouth shut, especially if he’s drunk. Plus— he’s a gossip girl, and super close to his sister.
So Laena had heard of Jaehaera’s silly antics, chaotic mischief, and promiscuous activities. And in the beginning she’d be lying if she didn’t say she was a little skeptical about meeting her. But after a while the idea of meeting the princess made her antsy.
Which brings me to this— Laena did NOT meet Jaehaera at the wedding. Just to clear the air. Jaehaera might be forward, but she also understands boundaries. And as charismatic and charming Jaehaera is, Laena would not put out on first meetings.
They would have met one of the many times Jaehaera visited Driftmark, whether it be just to visit and rant or rave, or to chart a course for a new voyage Viserys had ordered or let her envoy.
At first they’d be introduced by Rhaenys, who practically pushed them into each other every chance she got. Then it would lead to flirtatious stares, inside jokes about Laenor or one of their other family members, and talking for hours through the day into the night whether it be about literature, philosophy, or even strategy (which intrigued Laena to no end). Later the two would often sneak off together, and could be found jumping into the sea together with little clothes on, perhaps feeding the other fruit as the other read aloud. And they would ride dragons together all the time.
Oh, and during all of this (post brothel obvi), Edeline was with them. And Laena could care less. In fact, she was rather fond of the girl, and not just because Jaehaera was.
Unlike most maids, Edeline was aloud to speak her mind freely— Jaehaera had forbid anything less. (Which was another reason a lot of people didn’t like her *cough cough* Otto *cough*) Which meant when the girls discussed philosophy or topics of politics, she joined in immediately. Laena always found her perspective as a “commoner” to be refreshing and eye opening. And she loved how honest she was without feeling pressure. Edeline never even amused being interested in strategy or anything to do with combat. So whenever Jaehaera began to ramble about it, she’d simply sing out a tune Laena heard Jaehaera hum every now and then and braid the girl’s hair.
Then, if she had already finished using up all the hair she could— and Jaehaera was still going on about it— she say, “As attractive your passions make you My Highness, if you don’t stop soon I will be as dry as Kings Landing.”
Laena went into a fit of laugher after that.
Laena could never quite figure out why Edeline had become so vital in Jaehaera’s life, but in the end she didn’t need a reason. She grew to love them both, and was content in both their company. (She’s definitely the most civil of the bunch.)
And second, Laenor finding out that Jaehaera slept with Laena on his wedding night was honestly ironically funny. BUT he would be shook after hearing from his father that Daemon was to be wed to Laena because well— he knew for a fact Laena was in love with Jaehaera and he thought his bestie felt the same way.
He’d burst into Jaehaera’s chambers and yell something along the lines of:
“UM EXCUSE ME BUT YOUR UNCLE IS TRYING TO MARRY MY SISTER— YOU JUST GONNA LET THAT HAPPEN OR WHAT?!”
Then she’d tell him that she knew, and she’s the one that set them up.
Jaehaera would explain what their plan was, because Laenor would be a confused mess, and he’d finally be like: ohhh, that makes more sense.
Sir Harwin
This man>>>>
Jaehaera, Laenor, and Harwin are besties. The best trio I WILL HEAR NO ARGUMENTS
First of all, he’s definitely a feminist. So Harwin is all for Jaehaera getting her some just like the other lords of court. He would for sure be her wingman, and they would have a game to see who could get a girl to blush the fastest. (They both thought it a fair competition because he was an man, which went with the Hetero normative, but she was royalty so it kinda evened out the scales.) They would also have a ton of inside jokes about status and social norms.
“Oh fuck off!” Jaehaera would shove his arm off of her, laughing as she tried to walk away.
“Please be more specific your highness, I merely wish to abide by your commands properly.” Harwin would retort back in a prim and proper voice, bowing jokingly to her.
Or..
“Seven hells you’re a terror.” - Harwin after she jumped on his back because she didn’t want to walk down the stairs.
“Better than being a proper lady of court.” She’s remarked, not caring that people would gawk at the pair.
“Yes, I don’t think you have the temperament for it.”
Jaehaera hummed, “That and any lord I’d be sold to would feel inadequate after seeing how much bigger my co—,”
He’d also find everyone’s reactions or whispers about Jaehaera’s behavior hilarious. And he would probably tell her most of them, and they’d laugh together about it.
BUT— even though he knows she can take care of herself— I do think Harwin fight a bitch if they ever said anything that went too far. Once he heard a lord say call her the “common whore of the realm”.
Man lost his shit.
I will say that these two had a small moment when Jaehaera first started training with him, but from that moment on they were like, “You’re hot but no thanks.” (Plus Rhaenyra) And decided to just be friends.
He definitely knows about how Rhaenyra feels about Jaehaera, because let’s face it she’s not exactly subtle. However, he doesn’t feel intimidated by it because he knows that Jaehaera’s the very reason they can be together for the time they are. Not to mention, she cares about both of them, so she wouldn’t do anything to hurt them.
Oh and he pretty much knows everyone she’s slept with, because bro talk. (Laenor too)
Which brings me to Edeline.
Much to Rhaenyra’s disappointment, he’s friends with her. There’s no way he couldn’t be because if Jaehaera’s with him 9/10, Edeline is to. Plus, they definitely tease Jaehaera together; they have all the dirt.
They definitely had this conversation though:
“You do know if you hurt her I’ll have to kill you.” -Harwin as they watch Jaehaera train a young Aegon.
“You as well.” Edeline replied, sewing up a shirt Jaehaera had managed to rip right in half.
Raising an eyebrow he’d ask, “Oh? And how do you plan to do that?”
“There are more ways to kill a man then a sword,” she’d say, grinning to herself.
Basically, Harwin is the best and deserves better than his ending.
Alicent
Low key hypocritical.
Alicent would defend Jaehaera against anyone, even her own father. If her actions were deemed scandalous or promiscuous then she’d blame the other parties, or say that she could do whatever she pleased because she was royalty and it was her right.
“She’s a disgrace to the royal reputation.” Otto muttered, watching as Jaehaera stood in a corner of a banquet— letting various ladies lean, hold, and practically grope her frame, and she did the same as well.
“They are the ones to blame father,” Alicent practically hissed, unable to decide if she was more mad at her father or the ladies. “They’re very purpose is to be looking for a husband, not fraternizing with the Princess. It is their own doing.”
And at the same time, she’d shame Rhaenyra for having an affair with Harwin and producing “bastards”.
Her reasoning was simply, Jaehaera wasn’t bound by marriage or duty to produce heirs, and the King— her husband— permitted her the same right as a Prince. Not to mention, she brought good fortune to the kingdom everyday through her excursions, battles, treaties, voyages, good political standing with nobles and great social status amongst the commoners.
However, if she were truthful, Alicent would say that Jaehaera was gifting their kingdom by merely breathing in it.
And sometimes, when bold enough to allow her mind to wander, she’d dream of what life could have been if it were Jaehaera she had married.
It would have been no question if Jaehaera were a man, and Otto could have very easily made the argument to place Jaehaera as heir. In another reality, Viserys may have done so. Yet, even if Jaehaera were a man, she’d never rule.
Alicent knew that.
No matter how hard she tried to weasel the thought into Jaehaera’s mind, praising her intellect, her strength, and her popularity— the princess would not hear any of it. She refused the notion as if it were a plague, a fate worse than death. The first time Alicent did it, the young dragon merely brushed it off. Then, several times more she let her off easy because she was a dear friend, but finally, she lost her patience.
Nudging her chin upward, Jaehaera held the sides of her jaw— it didn’t hurt, but she gripped hard enough that Alicent could feel the pressure in her bones— and crouched low so they were at eye level. Her body, almost twice the size of Alicent’s in stature and muscle, looked over the young queen enough to send a tremor down her spine as her back pressed into a tree. They were in the garden this time, taking a stroll, when Alicent hinted at legitimacy again. She could see— feel, that was a mistake.
Alicent’s eyes were wide as she stared up at her friends, feeling weak in the knees at this new aura. She had only ever been treated with kindness; she only knew the sarcastic, flirtatious, yet sweet part of Jaehaera. Never had she been subjected to this. Not even that time when Jaehaera saw her in Viserys room for the first time.
“Wha-what are you—?”
Tsking at her like a child, Jaehaera placed her finger against Alicent’s lips. “Don’t play like this with me Ali. I am not in the mood, and this oblivious façade doesn’t suit you.”
Gulping back her nerves she nodded, her gaze flickering between the tall girls eyes, hand, and lips that were close enough for her to feel her breathing.
“Thank you,” Jaehaera said in a more genuine tone, removing her hand from Alicent’s mouth— almost making the young queen the whimper— but remained still to cage her between the tree.
“You know,” she let her eyes travel, followed by her hands, “I really hate when you do this Ali.”
“I don’t like it when you let yourself be so easily manipulated,” Jaehaera twirled one of Alicent’s free curls with her fingers, before finally looking back at her with a ferocious expression. “So stop talking like him.”
To the present, Alicent felt herself quiver at the memory, and she didn’t know why. Or rather, she just didn’t want to admit that she did.
Later on as she develops more as a queen, and has her children, she becomes more possessive. Her and Rhaenyra are similar in this aspect. Oh, and don’t think she doesn’t notice how Jaehaera would dote on Rhaenyra when she was pregnant, and how she coddled her children.
To be fair, she acknowledged that anytime Jaehaera was home she made sure to give Aegon and Aemond as much attention as she did Jace and Luke.
However, her emotions were more selfish in a way. She wanted the same treatment Rhaenyra got during pregnancy. Maybe more.
She wanted Jaehaera to be with her throughout her days, and most night, as she went through the stages. She wanted to be doted on, coddled, given plentiful affection, and even babied at times.
Jaehaera would literally break her back to do everything for Rhaenyra when she’s pregnant. Alicent envied that to no end. And one day her temper got the best of her, and she asked.
“Why do you only stay for Rhaenyra’s pregnancies?”
Jaehaera coughed, setting the cup of tea back on the table before she could make a bigger mess. “That’s one way to clear the air Ali.”
Blushing profusely, she looked down. “I’m sorry, I don’t know why I asked that I just—,”
Tilting her head to look down at the woman, Jaehaera let out an abrupt laugh. “You’re mad at me.”
Snapping her head up Alicent’s immediately rebuttals. “No! I am not! I just—,”
Chucking at her friends sputtering, the princess leans back in her chair. “You’re actually, genuinely mad at me. Wow, I never thought I’d see the day.”
“I am not mad at you!” Alicent argues with growing aggravation.
“Then why are you yelling?”
“I’m—!” Alicent sighed, “I’m sorry, but I’m not mad at you. I just find it odd.”
Humming, the dragon nodded. “You wonder why I hadn’t been there for yours? Is that right?”
Alicent licked over her lips, placing her own cup down to not show her shaking hands. “Yes.”
“Well, for one, you’ve never asked.” Jaehaera stated rubbing her palms against her spread thighs. “From what I heard you wanted no one in the room with you for Aegon. So I assumed Aemond was be the same since you didn’t send for me. And I sadly wasn’t here for Heleana—,”
“Rhaenyra didn’t have to ask.” Alicent said bluntly, taking Jaehaera by surprise. “And I would have never asked you to leave.”
Sighing, Jaehaera gave her an understanding nod. “You’re right.”
Alicent furrowed her eyebrows. “Then why?”
“If— if you had asked I would have been there. But,” Jaehaera huffed, “You are my father’s wife.”
Alicent felt her heart stop.
“I do not hold you to it as a fault. I am glad that you have brought each other some semblance of happiness, but,” Jaehaera winced, “he is still my father. And you are still my childhood friend. I cannot tell you why, but it is different. It feels different. But I still have all the love for your children, my royal siblings.”
Alicent would also never forget that.
She feel contempt, though she would not know who to aim it at, so she found the easiest target. Someone that was in the way of what she truly wanted, and that could easily be disposed of.
Marching into Otto’s room, Alicent was practically fuming, breath shaking, face bright pink, and eyes watering. And before her father could get a word of question out, she simply said…
“I want her gone.”
Looking at his daughter in confusion, Otto raised a brow. “Who?”
“Edeline.”
***
A/n: Younger ones will be in part 2, which is pretty important because it has Edelines key parts in Jaehaera’s story, and what the whole “event” was that made Otto get banished and Jaehaera to leave for a while, and Alicent being Alicent.
Make guesses in the comments, I’ll tell you if you’re close.

Dragons? No, yours are Wyverns.
Tumblr media
Pairing: House of the Dragon x Male!Reader
Genre: neutral
Warnings: none
In the lands of Old Valyria, almost every house was made of dragon lords. Many were dragon riders even at a young age. However, since the doom the only house remained are the Targaryens that fled to Westeros and landed on what is now Dragonstone.
But, there was another house that also survived. This house, they had the same Valyrian features of silver hair, except they had red eyes instead.
This house was more ancient than any other house within Old Valyria, rumors had it that they were the first gods that fell from the stars.
This family were the ones that found the true dragons. True born dragons have four legs, two or more sets of wings, and are bigger than any other animal that the earth has ever seen. What the Targaryens found were an off branch of dragons that were called Wyverns. They had two legs instead of four, the front two legs were instead where its wings are, they were also smaller than actual dragons though they grow bigger with age.
The ancient family’s name has been lost to time, but there was one descendant left to continue the legacy. This boy was born before the doom, however he was still here after hundreds of years. Even years after Aegon’s conquest he was still alive.
Y/n was his name, the dragon he commanded was one hundred times his own size. His dragon’s name was Orme, an old word for the meaning of ‘wrath’.
He was never even heard of in Targaryen history, as he still was hidden away in the ruins of Old Valyria. But soon, he decided to leave as there was nothing left, getting onto the saddle that he somehow put around Orme’s body before yelling out his command for them to take off.
Flying west for days above the clouds, but soon they arrived in Westeros at last. They flew down to where the desert was in the south, they had landed in Dorne. Where House Martell ruled.
The people freaked when they saw an enormous dragon land in the sands, Y/n knew that they could not risk being seen. So, they fled until they were out of sight from civilization. This was new land they were settling into, they could not risk anything.
The rulers of house Martell had sent for King Viserys, saying that they saw a dragon land in Dorne. When the letter got to King’s Landing, Viserys was confused as none of his children’s dragons were even big enough to fly yet. Rhaenyra was too busy taking care of Joffery to even fly, Daemon was in Pentos with Laena, there was no one that could have flown.
There was nothing he could have done as there was no information. Weeks later, he began to get more letters from all over Westeros that there was a big dragon flying around its lands. The Starks said that it may have come over the wall, the others say it was always high up in the clouds for them to see properly.
Then, one day King’s Landing looked up and saw something above the clouds. It seemed to be circling the castle of the Red Keep. It was so high up but hard to see still, the guards could do nothing but stare. Viserys looked out his window and saw it also. This confirmed the letters that he had gotten, there was indeed another dragon out there outside of House Targaryen.
Y/n had blended in with enough smallfolk during the nights to know everything, every corner of the realm there would be rumors about the Targaryens; the supposed blood of Old Valyria. How their dragons made them the kings they were, how there will be more dragons with the king’s new children. Back in Old Valyria, the Targaryens were only a nobel house and nothing more. But here, they were the kings that conquered the realm.
Flying to the skies above the crownlands, finally the building of Red Keep could be seen. Orme began to fly lower, his shadow covered all of King’s Landing and his roar could be heard from miles away. They did not land but instead got close enough but then went back into the skies once more. The winds of Orme’s wings created giant wind currents as it flew off.
Viserys ordered his guards to discover where the dragon had gone, the guards nodded as they followed throughout the city until they were led outside of the city and into a nearby forest.
They would search for hours but would only come out empty handed. They would search for days, weeks but still nothing. But now everyone at court knew there was a dragon in the forest just outside the city, probably a wild dragon and a big one at that. No one dared to go to the forest for any reason anymore.
Months later, someone had wandered too far into the forest despite all the warnings. They had found the sleeping beast, and apparently, attempted to claim it on their own. Orme woke up of course, but he had no interest in what the person was saying. And so they burned them on the spot, along with some of the trees in the area. When Y/n came back from buying food from the city, he saw the area was scorched with flames and a corpse. He knew someone had decided to try their luck with his dragon.
Taking to the skies of King’s Landing again, this time circling the keep again but much lower. This was the warning that no one should bother him or he would burn it down.
Viserys had no choice but to send for his brother who was on Dragonstone now being married to Rhaenyra. Daemon got the raven and soon took to the skies with Caraxes.
A couple hours later Caraxes could be seen flying over King’s Landing and up into the sky. Daemon could not see Orme as it was up in the clouds, he commanded Caraxes to fly forward but the blood wyrm refused. A roar came through the clouds as they were met with a giant dragon, it made Caraxes look like a flea to it.
Orme had attempted to bite Caraxes in half but Daemon moved them out of the way, they flew for a bit around the bigger dragon before he saw a saddle strapped around its body; which meant this dragon did indeed have a rider.
“Come out and show me who you are! To have such a beast, you must be from Valyria!” Daemon yelled out, unsure if his voice could travel that far. He flew up and saw where the rider was.
The rider looked no more than a young boy, Daemon was surprised at such a rider. “If you land your dragon, no one would get hurt.”
Y/n did not look scared, but rather gave the look like he was looking down at Daemon, like he was unworthy to even see him. “You are a Targaryen, and yet you refuse to fight?” Was all Y/n said as he stood up upon his saddle.
Showing the sword that was strapped to his belt, a true Valyrian blade called the Dragon’s Bane.
“My brother, the king wishes to see you and your dragon. Would you grant him the honor of admiring your ride?” Daemon chose his words carefully as he waited for an answer.
Y/n weighed his options, it was not like they could kill Orme anyway. “Alright. But I want no attempts at my dragon, I don’t need anyone else trying to claim him. He would refuse anyway.” He whispered that last part.
Daemon let out a sigh of relief, he flew down first on Caraxes to tell Viserys to meet them somewhere next to the Dragon Pit. Y/n then followed him down, he landed next to Caraxes outside of the Dragon Pit. Getting off of his saddle, Y/n gave his dragon a soothing pat before seeing the size difference. Caraxes can be seen getting familiar with his dragon, Orme was tired and lying on the ground.
The sound of the wheelhouse can be heard, soon it stopped and Viserys stepped out.
“King Viserys of House Targaryen, the First of his name, King of the Andals, the Rhoynar, and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms, Protector of the Realm.” As they said Viserys’s titles, Y/n just rolled his eyes and looked bored.
“Your grace.” Y/n said plainly. “I was told by your brother you wanted to see my dragon. So here. Don’t get too close.”
Viserys could only nod as he spared Daemon a glance before walking over to see Orme who had his eyes closed. “This..is your dragon?”
“Yes. One of the last ones I have found during my time.”
Hearing such words from the ‘youngster’, Viserys held a face of confusion.
“What do you mean during your time?” The king asked.
“When I was younger I found him, I raised him and fed him.” Was Y/n’s answer.
“He is not the last dragon anymore. We also have dragons here.” Viserys said happily as he turned to look at the young boy.
Now that Viserys saw him properly, he realized Y/n had the silver blonde hair, but his eyes were red instead of violet. “You…are you from Valyria?” The king dared to ask.
“Is that not obvious enough? I can tell you guys were from Valyria just from one look.” He replied boredly.
Viserys could only nod as his eyes drifted back to his dragon, Orme who was still sleeping. “Our dragons have never grown this big before, well maybe Balerion.”
Y/n let out a heavy and quick sigh before he spoke. “Yours are not dragons.” His tone was stern and harsh. His eyes have darkened.
Daemon had his hand on Dark Sister while the guard unsheathed parts of theirs as a warning. Y/n did not care, he continued to speak as he walked over to Viserys.
“Yours are not dragons. They are wyverns.” Orme woke up as Y/n walked in front of Viserys.
“My dragon can rival Balerion.” Y/n said as he had a hand on Orme’s snout.
“But since Balerion is dead, I have no competition. Isn’t that sad. No dragon in the realm can rival me.” Orme lets out a growl at his words as if agreeing with his rider.
“But our dragons-”
“Wyverns.” Y/n corrected.
“Wyverns, they were also from Old Valyria. How is it possible that they are not dragons?” Y/n could shake his head at the old king’s words.
“Like I said before, wyverns are not the same as dragons. My dragon is the last true born dragon left. Wyverns as far as I know are an off branch of the dragonic family. When the wyverns' eggs were found, they had been there for such a long time that the original dragon’s bodies had already been changed since they were in the egg. It could have been that a single dragon was deformed in some way that their eggs turned into wyverns instead.” Y/n explained.
“How do you know all this?” Daemon asked.
Y/n looked at him with a raised brow. “I asked you how you know this.”
“I was there to see the Valyrians dig up the eggs, I was there to see it all.”
Viserys thought for a moment before asking a single question. “How old are you?”
“I believe I am over 200 or so, I am…307 years of age as of this year.”
His words shocked everyone, Viserys looked to Daemon as if asking if his brother knew this. The guards all looked at each other with shocked looks, some even confused.
“How?”
“Well your grace, I do not know actually. Some said my family were gods that fell from the stars, some say we were cursed with immortality. Believe what you want to believe, but one thing is for sure that I am standing right in front of you.”
Viserys paused as he thought things through before speaking. “Have you seen the doom?”
“Yes.” Y/n rolled his eyes again, as if he had heard this question before.
“If there is nothing else, I will be going.” Climbing onto the saddle again as Orme woke up fully.
“And where will you be going? You have nowhere to stay in the realm, you can stay here with us.” Viserys offered.
“If there is nothing for me here, I will return to the ashes of my home. The ruins of Old Valyria still stand, and I bring it to its former glory. I will be the true dragon king.”
The two Targaryens could only watch as the boy flew off on the giant dragon that is Orme, disappearing into the east, going past the Red Keep, Driftmark and Dragonstone. Back to Valyria where the old ruins lay.
Whatever secrets that Y/n held about Old Valyria would never be learned, even the secrets about his house and family will be kept with him until the end of times.
No matter how much Y/n’s secrets were worth, they would never know.
Valyria would soon have a new king, a true dragon lord.

Jorrāelagon Zālagon Chapter Two
Niece to Otto Hightower, Hand of the King, and cousin to Lady Alicent Hightower, you become ensnared in the Rogue Prince Daemon Targaryen. After hearing of a sensitive marriage arrangement, you learn the prince is running out of time... and options.
A/N: I love that everyone is enjoying this fiction, please keep ask the asks coming! Also Rhae = Rhaenyra, Not Rhea Royce.
Word Count: 6,381K
Tumblr media
You and Daemon left the garden of the gods wood, trailing slightly behind the prince through the vast hallways and corridors of the keep. The hairs on your neck stood up as you felt the eyes of the Maesters, maids, and servants on you.
It felt like an oblivion, an endless journey, but you finally reached the large doors of your chambers and thanked the Rogue Prince for his escort with a smile. He gave a quick smile back and nodded, “Try to keep your eyes dry my lady, I will take your words into consideration.” And with that he turned on his heel, letting his footfalls echo through the corridor as he made his exit.
The chamber door creaked open loudly as you stepped into the room, “There you are!” Alicent exclaimed throwing her arms around you. You smiled and gladly returned her embrace.
“I lost you in the masses.” She said pulling away from you.
“Yes, I was one of the last ones to exit the throne room, I- uh- got caught up with the maidens of the court, I’m sorry cousin.” Alicent breathed a sigh of relief as she motioned you to sit down with her.
Your room was decadent, golden fixtures and satin silks draped the large room, antiques from all corners of the seven kingdoms neatly placed and dusted littered the room in an organized manor, that of which you would clean in times of great stress. The chairs that resided in front of your bed were made from the finest laces and linens, carved by the finest of craftsmen, and a small class table rested in between the two chairs. Alicent had a maiden bring in a fresh pot of tea, which sat on the table with two intricately decorated cups.
“Come cousin, sit with me.” Alicent patted the chair next to hers as she sat and you gladly followed suit.
“I have news” she whispers pouring you and herself a streaming hot class of black tea.
“Oh, do go on.” You quietly exclaimed picking the hot cup from the glass table, bringing it to your lips.
“This cannot leave this room Y/N,” you nodded in understanding, of anyone to keep a secret it would be you.
Alicent sipped her tea before continuing, “my father has spoken with the king and he has informed me that Daemon is to be wed”
You feigned shock, “Was that what the king spoke of after we exited the throne room?” your shock must’ve been believable because your cousin carried on with this juicy gossip.
“As punishment for his action in slums apparently” she sipped her tea once more.
“Does the king have a lady in mind?” Though you already knew the answer to this.
“The lady Rhea Royce heir to Runestone will be betrothed to him if Daemon does not choose a worthy maiden himself.” You nodded at this, at this point its hard to react..as you already found this out through an accidental bout of curiosity.
“The lady Rhea Royce is a fair and beautiful maiden.” you said plainly.
“Yes, indeed, do you think that their will be any contenders for the prince’s hand?” Alicent swirled her cup around in small circles as she gazed out of the large decorative windows of your room.
“I believe most women of the court find the prince to be rather…” what was the word you were looking for?
“to be rather coarse.” you finished setting down your cup. Alicent hummed in response and as if on cue the loud screeching of a dragon could be heard in the distance, Rhaenyra had finally returned home from her journey to Dragonstone. Cousin leapt up excitedly and grabbing your hand rushing you from your seat, “come! let us see Rhaenyra!”
The scent of dragon was a notable one, it could be described as a strong sulfuric scent with a musky tinge to the smell itself. Though Rhaenyra didn’t mind Syrax’s scent as she nuzzled her familiar.
“Rhaenrya!” Alicent called out waving her hands at her best friend. You followed suit and begave to wave and shout your greetings.
The three of you walked the halls to Rhaenrya’s quarters spilling the gossip about Daemon’s latest actions and the consequences to follow.
Rhae snorted as she laughed,“I highly doubt my uncle will find anyone to wed in such a short length of time.”
Ancient nodded in agreement and continued giggling as Rhaenyra pushed the heavy door of her bedroom open. “Do you believe my uncle started those fires?” although before you could respond while Rhae pushed on her chamber doors…
Which opened to reveal a shocking sight.
Daemon.
He sat on the edge of Rhaenrya’s bed, and his eyes connected with yours in shock. He didn’t expect you to be here. He must have not expected Rhaenrya to have any company in her presence upon her swift arrival.
Alicent and you froze in your place. This was strange, it still was before sunrise, why would he be nested in her quarters at such an hour?
Rhae tilted her hear and furrowed her brow in confusion, “Uncle, this is a surprise, what can I do for you?” she asked pulling off her riding gloves and tossing them on to her bed.
He did not respond, not with words, he simply shifted his gaze from you to Rhae, his brow raised and Rhaenrya responded instantaneously, “My friends, may I have a moment alone with my uncle?”
This was confusing, why would Daemon be waiting for Rhaenrya? But before you could give any indication of protest Alicent was dragging you down the hallway. She paused, stopping abruptly as if she couldn’t hold her words inside any longer.
“Alicent, stop, you’re hurting me!” you whispered harshly.
She turned to you in a dead locking her eyes with yours. “I fear for his intent on Rhaenyra”
“W-what?” Your brow was firmly knitted in confusion, did she know something that you had not?
“I do not trust him with Rhaenyra.” her voice rang firmly this time.
‘No.. she can't mean she thinks.. they are-’
You cut your thoughts off “No, Daemon is reckless.. but you do not think he would-“
“He has been given free reign to chose whomever he wishes to wed, why not Rhaenrya?” Alicent’s tone was sharp, and you inwardly cringed at the very suggestion.
She continued ranting about as the two of you reached the gardens.
“Why would the Prince be in wait for Rhaenrya if not for a salacious reason?”
You could only shake your head, “I do not know.” These matters are none of your concern, it was none of your business who prince Daemon carried on with. Though imagining it being Rhaenrya…
There was something about the though that made your stomach twist, your heart drop into the pit of your stomach, and adrenaline being to coarse through your heart. Alicent grabbed your hands causing you to look into her eyes, “We have to protect Rhaenrya”
Her eyes burned with determination and her grip on your hands became tight again.
“We cannot allow him to corrupt her innocence.” She repeated sternly, with this all you could do is nod in response.
Dinner was served at a vastly large table for only 7 people. Those of which were Queen Aemma, King Viserys, Prince Daemon, Princess Rhaenrya, Uncle Otto, Alicent, and yourself. Every dinner was resembling a feast, glazed roast sat as the center piece of the meal tonight, with side dishes of goat, beef, and crab being passed around casually.
Your eyes were drawn to the white haired prince eating silently as Aemma spoke about the origin of the meal. Something inside you yearned for just one glance from him, just to be noticed in this instant.
But you were no the one to catch his eyes, it was you best friend Rhaenrya. Daemon had not taken his eyes off of her for a majority of the meal, leaving you wondering if you would even stumble upon his company afterwards. You poked at your food, but your appetite had faded with your interest of even staying at the table.
‘Daemon would not sully a maiden like Rhaenrya, he couldn’t’
‘I’m overthinking this, he was waiting to greet her’
‘Alicent is- is trying to put ideas in my head is all’
But Daemon and Rhaenyra were enthralled in their conversation of dragon riding and the various trips on dragon back had taken, it seemed as if everyone else was flourishing in the conversation at the table, Otto and Viserys were speaking fondly with Alicent and Aemma, everyone but you, until Rhaenyra cheered.
“Y/N! Im sure you would love to come with us!”
You lifted your eyes from your plate, “Uh, I’ve never.. ridden before” you mumbled feeling heat flood your cheeks.
“Then you shall on the morrow, we fly for Dragonstone.” Daemon chimed bringing his cup to his lips.
Viserys smiled and laughed a loud commenting of how his first ride on Balerion was unforgettable. Otto’s eyes drifted to you, a for a second you caught him giving a stare of suspicion which had passed in a glimpse as he chimed in ushering a tale of the dragons from Valyria being the fastest as strongest of their kind. And Daemon had not given you any time, other than that one acknowledgement.
“You will do well cousin.” Alicent sang holding your hand as you walked to the dragon pit. She could tell you were nervous and respectfully so, “I could not find myself to mount such a monster.” She claimed kissing your hand.
The screeches and howls of the dragons were unmistakable as you approached the front of the large colosseum . The dragon keepers held their spears tightly in hand and shouted to each other in high Valyrian.
Syrax emerged from the shadows of the entrance letting out a high pitched screeched of anticipation. You stood with your cousin still in hand some feet away, your breath taken away by the size of the dragon and her surrounding golden aura. You could never understand why your cousin (and secretively your father) despised the so called “monsters”.
Rhaenrya mounted Syrax effortlessly and waved over to you and Lady Alicent, “Y/N! You’ll have to ride with Daemon!” she yelled as Syrax began to walk forward, her lrge foot falls reverberating the ground, lurching her saddle back and forth.
“Wait- what?”
‘No, no, no not that one!’
Alicent gave you a questioning look to match your own confusion.
“Just please be safe N/Y” Alicent said as she kissed your hands once more, your mind was spinning, you thought you would be riding on Syrax, a kind dragon used to having multiple riders- NOT CARAXES.
“A-Alicent I do not wish to ride-“
The ear shattering screech is what solidified your fear. From the entrance on the pit Caraxes snaked his long neck to observe the scene before him, before letting out powerful and deafening  roar. Dragon keepers held their spears at the ready and began yelling at the beast in their ancient dialect.
Caraxes was a wolf headed dragon, one of the most aggressive and seemingly volatile from the stories that you had heard. It was as if your body had turned to stone realizing that you would be on the back of a prehistoric killing machine… with Daemon.
As if on cue, the young prince made his appearance by your side, giving a small laugh of amusement of your bewilderment.
“He’s not that bad, I have a two-person saddle that befits Caraxes, it’s not as horrific as you think.” He gave a slight half smile before stepping towards the dragon reciting high Valyrian. Daemon caressed the dragons jaw earning a playful nudge from Caraxes and well as a deep groan.
Alicent had shrunk back from you and fell into the background as Daemon motioned for you to come over. You were frozen in your place until Alicent touched your back pushing you forward, you looked back at her a look of terror and fear scorned across your face. Your cousin mouthed you a goodbye and you turned back around, a stumbling ball of nerves.
This reptile was massive in compared to your petite stature, in just a second he could swallow you whole and you would never been seen again. Daemon obviously caught sight of your fear, bringing you out of your own thoughts he grabbed your hand.
Not a forcefully yank of your hand like you expected, but a soft motion in which intertwined your fingers with his as he brought your palm to the scaley calloused cheek of Caraxes. The texture of his scaled were that of hard leather plates, reminiscent of amor.
The beast let out a low guttural sound, “Worried he’ll eat you?” Daemon joked a smug grin making it’s way across his face, or at least.
You pulled your hand away from Caraxes, still overwhelmed, “I- I have never..come face to face with one.” His smile only grew wider.
“Let us go then”
Before you could ask how to get on the prince had thrown you over his shoulder, earning a surprised gasp from you as he hiked up the dragons fore wing placing you in the proper position on the saddle.
You straddled the thick and rigid leather saddle, Daemon seated himself in front of you, gripping the reigns and positioning himself towards you, “You may want to hold on, the take off is a little rough.”
“Hold on?”
You acted on impulse and wrapped your arms around the prince’s waist, unknowingly earning a smile of satisfaction from him as you pulled your body close to his. Daemon tightened the reins and yelled out to the dragon,
“Soves, Caraxes!”
The saddle began to rock vigorously with each enormous step forward the dragon took. You tightened your grip around Daemon’s waist burying your head into his back as Caraxes began to pick up speed.
With a whoosh he caught the air under his wings and the dragons body moved rhythmically from side to side. Rocking you back and forth vigorously, you almost felt like your body would fall backwards if you hadn’t been gripping Daemon for your life.
With a loud roar Caraxes broke through the barriers of the clouds, his body leveling out.
“Look now dear!” Daemon yelled over the rushing air. You pulled your face from his back and were struck with the golden beauty of the morning sun glistening over the clouds. Daemon took note of your speechlessness with pride.
“It’s- It’s Amazing!” you managed to get out, your eyes were sucking in the soft looking golden features of the sky, it was like being in the heavens! The rays of morning sun cast light spectrums of color to faintly peak though the mist of the clouds and the dragons wings parted any clouds obstructing the view around.
In you state of blissful awe , you hadn’t noticed your grip on the prince’s waist had loosened, and Caraxes began to nose dive.
You felt your body lift from the saddle, Daemon noticed the shift in weight and quickly grabbed your arm , wrapping it around his waist once more, gripping your arm close to his core. It could have been the adrenaline, could have been the fact you were falling at extraordinary speeds, or was it that Daemon actually wanted to keep you safe?
“Pālegon!!” He yelled.
Caraxes began to corkscrew into a nosedive and the excitement pent up inside your tiny form had been unleashed. You screamed and hollered with joy and excitement as the dragon plummeted through the clouds. Daemon was focused, telling Caraxes to pull up before the shimmering blue ocean could come into contact.
Caraxes screeched and seemingly whisked over the sapphire waters that currently bedazzled your eyes. The mist and salt of the waves below cooled your face and you found your chin resting on the princes shoulder, a smile that was to wide and full of joy plastered on your face. Daemon relaxed finally letting his stone face crack into a a smug half smile. He couldn’t even care if you were screaming in his ear, your elated screeches made him feel like he was riding a dragon for the first time once more. It was refreshing to him, not that he would ever show it completely.
The red giants leather wings echoed as they beat hard against the breeze while approaching the rocky and mountainous shores of Dragonstone. Caraxes wailed as he came to his landing as if he wanted to go farther.
You heart was still pounding in your chest as Caraxes' wings fanned the air, whipping up clouds of sand as the dragon screeched making its heavily footed landing. Caraxes shook his head, shaking the saddle, though this did not stop Daemon from praising the dragon.
"Lykiri, Syz" the prince purred.
His hand ran up and down Caraxes neck to what length was reachable. And this made you laugh aloud at the touching sight.
You managed to speak through your enlightened laughter "I love how you praise him."
Daemon hummed in response and stood upright on the saddle peering up at the large castle towering over you. In the distance the songs of Syrax could be heard, meaning Rhaenyra must've arrive short before you.
"Seems as if we've been beaten." Daemon mumbles looking towards the direction of the dragon's song.
"Let us be welcomed, my dear" Daemon said once again manhandled you down from the Saddle, fore wing, and finally setting you down on the dark sand beach of Dragon Stone. Daemon had started up the beach, to the stone stairwells that aligned with the entrances of the massive keep.
You knew Daemon wished to be welcomed and to ask (Interrogate?) Rhaenyra about how she arrived before the blood worm Caraxes himself. Something he found unbelievable and had to involve a sort of foul play.
But you couldn't help but fall to your knees, you couldn't help but dig you fingers into the dark glittery sands, you couldn't help but be taken away. The scenery, the high ridges of the cliffs and mountains peaking through the clouds, the sounds of the seas birds and the waves crashing to the shore, the smell of salt and the tinge of sea life. What was this? This was a fantasy- a fairy tale told by the nans and midwives.
Until he spoke up talking his stride behind you.
"You're a hermit."
You deadpanned the smug white haired prince.
" is he making a joke of me?" You blinked and looked up at him, then back at the beach.
"It's just a lot to take in, I haven't been outside of kings landing in so long." you droned lifting yourself off of the dunes dusting the sand off of your garments.
He hummed, “Yes, Otto likes to keep his ward in sight at all times.” Daemon muttered stripping his hands of his riding gloves.
Your smile didn’t faulter at his comment, it was true, Uncle Otto had told you what happened to fair maidens that had left the safety of the wall of the keep. They were kidnapped, raped, sold into brothels, sometimes killed, and left in the streets.
He convinced you that the outside world was utterly terrifying, but this was not terrifying- not at all, this was exhilarating!
“My uncle always said that If I were to leave the safety of the castle I would surely be ravaged by the eyes and hands of men” you said softly, almost to yourself.
Daemon scoffed loudly and stifled a laugh, “It just takes the right one” he claimed smugly making his way up the sandy dunes of the beach. You felt a rush of heat burn at your cheeks and ears, Daemon glanced back at you and smirked, noting you had probably understood his insinuation.
“He’s such a.. a.. ugh!” your mind screamed. You shook your head and followed the young man up the shore to the stone steps leading from the mountainous beach to the castle.
“Oh Uncle, is it so hard to believe that Syrax can out fly Caraxes?” Rhaenrya laughed aloud falling into the couch of the eloquent living quarters.
Daemon stood leaning against the frame of fireplace in front of the young girl, “Yes, because she can’t, witch craft I say.” He joked crossing his arms.
You giggled at their conversation as you sat next to you best friend, resting you head in her lap as she carefully braided your hair.
“Come now Uncle, don’t be such a sore sport!” Rhaenrya chuckled as Daemon exasperated rolled his eyes to the ceilings and shook his head.
“If you two wish to carry on your…” The prince motioned his hand in circles trying to find the right words “...hair braiding, I’m going to inquire how the kitchen tends to handle tonight’s feast.”
You turned you head towards the prince and smiled, “Thankyou my-“
Daemon’s brow raised causing you to quickly catch yourself, “Daemon.”
A smirk flashed on his features before he exited the room, causing a warmth to bloom from your chest, it was his smile, one that not many people see that made you feel content. Rhaenrya seemed to have been oblivious to the interaction and continued to braid your hair into intricate designs, much like the ones she and her mother wear with pride.
“Sit up, Y/N and turn around, I’m going to do the back now” Rhaenrya continued swirling and folding one piece of hair over the other, tugging lightly at the strands and asking if she was pulling too tight at times. You propped yourself upwards with you back facing your friend.
“Rhae, may I confide in you?” you mused narrowing your curious gaze back at her.
“Should I ask… why Daemon was waiting for her?”
“Of course, Y/N I will always be here to listen” she replied sweetly…innocently.
“No.. I treasure our friendship too much..it would be to obvious of an insinuation”
“I fear for the persons responsible for burning down the building in Flea Bottom… but I cannot help but question..” you paused, thinking about how to word the question with no offense offered.
You took a deep breath and continued on, “Daemon has been accused, I can’t help but think of those 300 civilans, burning alive with no escape, do you think Daemon would actually harm the people of Kings landing?” you looked down and began to pick a your finger nails, a nasty habit you picked up in your time spent with your Uncle and dear Cousin.
Rhaenrya stopped the fluid motions of her hands and let out a laugh. This surprised you... but in a way eased your nerves, if had been clear Daemon was involved, she would have a much more serious affect.
“My father did not put him to death, so that must mean he is not responsible, if he was, I’m sure my Uncle would be deep in the crypts of the Keep by now.” she resumed brushing and braiding your hair. But something did not sit right, and Daemon’s point in the throne room held validity. If he wanted to kill as many people as he wanted…why not with dragon fire?
But what if he didn’t want to be caught either? A giant dragon flying over the city was quite noticeable easy to pick out who the rider is by the color and size of the dragon.
“Does this trouble you?” Rhaenyra chirped.
“it’s just.. if Daemon was not responsible, that means someone out there is.”
Rhaenrya frowned and placed her hands on your back, “Let us forget the squabbles and rumors of Kings Landing, we’re here at Dragonstone! Tis’ the time to be happy, tomorrow you and I will venture the seaside on horseback.”
She reminded you of her father in that moment, putting all stressors aside to enjoy quality time, even offering up adventures to assuage the mind of her distressed friend.
She drew closer you your ear as she leaned from behind you and whispered “Maybe well find buried treasure along the shores”
You burst out in a fit of laughter, “Yes! Us to be pirates!” you managed to say between your giddiness. Rhaenrya smiled chuckling to herself as you trailed on about how you and her would find a chest full of gold, enough to purchase a ship larger than Corlys Velaryon’s, and would sail the world collecting trinkets and various fruits.
“We could steal a lemon tree from the streets of Pentos, and nobody will know it was two girls!” Rhaenrya cheered. If only that could be, but your friends actions uplifted your mood, and soon enough she told you to stand up and look in the mirror that sit in the corner of the room.
“It’s beautiful, thankyou so much Rhae!” you threw you arms around her embracing her in a tight hug. Her gorgeous white smile gave a comfort to your worries, maybe it was just a Targaryen thing, maybe they just had a way with making those close to them feel accepted and happy. A knock on the door cause you both to separate and calm your hysterics.
“Come” she called out.
“Hello my Lady, Hello Lady Hightower,” you cringed in your mind at that address, you secretly wish you had no surname at, all hells Snow would feel more comfortable, just the name Hightower..made you feel different than the company you occupied, left out, it made you miss your father and mother, the name reminded you of your callous Uncle.
But you nodded in reply as she continued, “Supper is to be served within the hour, the prince requests you ready yourselves.” And with that she bowed her head and exited the room. You glanced at your reflection once more.
Your hair had been braided in an up position, braids cascading along side your head and into one large mass of woven threads, the beauty could not be replicated by Queen Aemma’s maiden hand herself.
You bid your short goodbye to Rhaenrya until supper and were escorted by a kind knight to your temporary quarters to quickly ready yourself. Your luggage had flown with Syrax… maybe that was the reason you had to ride with Daemon and his hyperactive dragon.
Green, Green, Green.
“what the fuck? Why are all my garments of the same color?! Gods!”
“Fuckin’ hells” you gasped and clamped your hands over your mouth in shock. No, did you just? No, well, yes but no. A lady should never engage in such language... it’s- it’s unbefitting!
“There you go, black as night” you gleamed at your dress, that of which was black with grey embroidery. It fit your form excellently as well as the complimenting jewelry and earrings.
A knock at your door pulled you away from vanity and you called out in response, “come!”
The same servant from earlier bowed and offered to escort you to the grand dining hall.
The halls of Dragonstone where different than Kings landing, the architecture is more rough around the edges, and the halls were dark the color of the mountains, and the floors were semi contrasting to the walls. You past Busts of former house holders and dragons, many of wall hangings that have withstood the time to past, it felt scholarly, educated, of a different time.
Two gentlemen threw open the dark large iron doors to the grand dinning room for you to be immediately greeted by Rhaenrya.
“Y/N! Come sit they’re about to present us with our meal.” she patted the chair next you her and you happily plopped down next to Rhaenrya, but there was one less person at the table, Daemon was absent. Yet wasn’t he the one organizing this dinner?
As if on cue the large doors opened once more, and the prince strolled coolly down the aisle , taking his seat next to you, at the head of the table. Servants scattered across the room with plates and saucers filled to the brim with lobster, crab, pork, lamb, chicken, and assorted custards, breads, vegetable and condiments. All steaming as the plates clanked to the stone table before you. Mouthwatering, in a literal sense, you quickly swiped a napkin on the table and dabbed the corner of you lips. You could’ve sworn you heard Daemon stifle a low chuckled making you blush.
“I know, it looks so good, give the kitchen our praise, please” Rhaenyra chimed picking up her cutlery. The servants nodded in an odd unison and left the three of you to eat in peace,
You place your elbows on the table, close your eyes, and clasp your hands together about do your duty and to pray to the Seven until-
A hand found its way a top of your own, it was Daemon, “There’s no need for that.”
Your heart jumped for a second at his touch. His hands where larger than your own, they were warm and you could feel the callouses that ran along the top of his palm.
“I’m sorry” you mumble unclasping your hands, resting them on the table, but his hand…was still atop of yours, his eyes smiling at you and you smiling back.
“Don’t be sorry, Targaryen’s don’t worship the seven is all.” Rhaenrya muffled a loud.
“Must you speak with you mouth full of loaf?” Daemon teased followed by a fake exasperated sigh. You laughed, pulling your hand from under Daemon’s and flicking a piece of bread at Rhaenerya, “yes princess mind your manners!”
Rhae proceeded to shovel food in her mouth in protest “Neber!!” the hysterical laughter came from you two as Daemon held his head in his hands, shaking playfully at the foolishness shown to him in this moment.
Dinner was eventful, you drank the finest wine for the first time in a long time. Everyone engaged in harmless talks of gossip floating around the kingdom, war plans Daemon knew of, and even a little trash talk of the lords Westeros (especially that of a certain Jason Lannister) was joyfully thrown around. This is what a family dinner should be, laughing, storytelling, talking about the news. This was a major difference from the quiet dinners around the table with you, Alicent, and Otto. Dinners in which Alicent received praise and you were undermined for your lower position in the family.
This is what you wanted, sarcastic remarks from your best friend and a charming replies to them from Daemon, this felt right and for a moment...you felt like you were apart of the Targaryen family. That’s all you ever felt like you wanted, to be part of a family that cared for one another.
You were three glasses into your wine, becoming somewhat tipsy by the end of the dinner festivities. The servants came to collect the plates, sauces, and silverware and everyone was dismissed from the table. Rhaenrya blissfully said she was headed to her chambers to nap off the heavy meal and you found yourself humming to yourself while hopelessly navigating the hallways of the unfamiliar castle.
Blissfully buzzed, you spun on your tiptoes and perched yourself by a large window that looked over the darkening skies and sea.
Though, suddenly Alicent’s words rang in your ear. “Why would the Prince be in wait for Rhaenrya if not for a salacious reason?”
You shook your head, dismissing the thought as quickly as it came.
"I'm please you enjoyed the preparations made"
You jumped at the voice and turned around to see him, "Gods, you scared me" you say holding your chest, this man had a strange ability to be heard when he wanted and dead silent when he wished.
He slowly strut passed you, tilting his head in the direction of the threshold of the castle, gesturing for you to follow. Yes, a walk along the beach side at night both of you tipsy from the endless supplies of whine. You walked through the large entrance trailing behind him in silence.
"the stars are so bright here" you mused looking at the twinkling accents in the black night above.
"Much better view than in Kings Landing" Daemon replied looking up as well.
You let out a sad sigh, "I almost dont want to go back..." you looked to Daemon and back at the night sky, it was littered with more stars than you've ever seen from any tower in King's Landing. He noticed the shift in your mood among mentioning King’s Landing.
Daemon felt a lot about your Uncle, but most of all he secretly despised how Otto Hightower, was practically keeping you hostage. Daemon knew little of how you actually came to King’s Landing, he did not know what end your paternal parents met, but he was sure that you were not treated as you should be.
His quiet voice, that of which was just above a whisper, broke your sadness “You should stay in Dragonstone, stay here.” He held out a hand to you helping you on to the sand dunes down from the stones steps of the winding stair way.
You took his hand and once more your face began to heat up, “I-I could not, My uncle would be so furious” you say as you stepped down. You didn’t let go of his hand, the truth was you did not want to. There was something about his touch that eased all the worries and anxieties that ailed you. And the young prince did not oppose as he kept your hand in his.
The two of you walked the shore line in the moon light, you could not tell if it was the uneven sand of the beach of the wine that made your body sway slightly with each step.
Probably the wine.
Daemon swayed every now and then himself, though you were sure this man could drink you under the table, so maybe it was the formation on the beach itself- for him atleast.
Your eyes glanced down to your hands, intertwined with one another still, the heat from between your palms contrasting the cold ocean air that fanned the two of you.
Daemon crossed your path and groaned as he sat down, not paying mind to dirtying his clothes in the sand. You stood over him, still intertwined.
 “Sit Y/N”
The sound of the waves crashing to the shore could not possibly match the sound of the blood rushing to your head. Had you heard him correctly?
Before you could lower yourself next to him, he pulled you down, and you fell between his legs. You froze for a moment, questioning if this was real, is this a result of a drunken dream, a stupor of sorts?
Daemon pulled you to him, you sat between his legs, feeling the warth that emanated from his body. You noticed you hadn’t released the breathe of air from you lungs and did so while leaning into his chest. He noticed you were tense, Daemon  rested his chin atop of your head and turned his eyes up to the constellations above.
You mind rushed with your blood as he placed two arms around you. Finally, you closed your eyes sinking into this feeling of warmth that of which you’ve never experience with another person in your life.
You could only imagine what was going through his head, what his intentions were from this trip, the dragon ride, the feast, and now… a moon lit walk on the shores of his birthplace. Why?
“Why does that prick keep you locked away in the keep?”
Though the insult to your uncle was clear, Daemon was calm, evening tightening his hold around you.
“My Uncle just.. has an unfavorable view of the world, he believes a woman should perform her duties without being deterred” He couldn’t handle the sadness that sung with your words. You felt him drawn in a large breath and a shallow exhale that followed.
“That’s the long way to say cunt, I suppose” he muttered.
You pulled away to look back at his face, “I know you don’t favor my uncle, sometimes I feel as if he doesn’t have my best interest in-“
Daemon snorted, “Then hes a cunt, that’s what he is! Just admit it!”
You let out a light chuckle, “No! using that language is just inapporiate for a lady” you playfully smacked his shoulder. He rolled his with a toothy grin.
“yes, is that what your Uncle told you?” He placed his hands on your shoulders letting his lips fall by the side of you cheek, the heat of his breath warming the cold shell of your ear.
“Say it” he whispered smoothly, “say what he is, my dear”
The giddiness and excitement was beging you boil inside.
“A cunt” you squeaked softly, this made Daemon chuckled as he squeezed your shoulders.
“Louder.”
“A Cunt” you spoke up, though he was not satified.
“Cmon say it louder!” he called out, you began to feel something wash over you. A warm feeling mixed with this newfound energy.
“A CUNT!”
Daemon stood up bringing you along with his as he raised his voice and began to yell at the stars.
“WHAT IS OTTO HIGHTOWER?!” you've never heard him like this, not with this type of enthusiasm.
“OTTO HIGHTOWER IS A FUCKING CUNT!!!” you screamed to the sea.
Daemond shook you by your shoulders as he yelled to the gods this time, “TOGETHER!”
And that is precisely what you did, in unison, with all the air you both could muster you both screamed.
“OTTO HIGHTOWER IS A FUCKING CUNT!!!!”
You broke out into hysterical laughter, this felt so relieving, being able to curse for the first time and not be reprimanded or punished. Daemon laughed as he fell back on to the sand and you collapsed once again between his legs, letting your head rest on his chest.
The laughter between the two of you subsided into breathless heaving as you and Daemon attempted to catch your breathes. Until silence fell to the waves of the ocean.
“Thankyou Daemon”
He looked down at you with a look of confusion, “For?”
You closed your eyes and wrapped your arms around his torso, “You saved me from falling off Caraxes, thankyou.”
Daemon let out a soft sigh placing his hand gently on your head, carressing your hair, “I could never let you fall, my dear.”

~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~
You sat in a chair staring into the eyes of your own reflection a foot in front of you as the noise of your entire family hovering around you blurred into the sounds of the party guests still celebrating in the hall below. The heavy wooden double doors to your chambers remained open as your family circulated in and out of the space. Your father stopped by at some point, and so did your brothers, and even your aunts and uncles with their own children, just to congratulate you on the successful marriage. But all you heard was noise, as your sisters fussed over your hair and excessive amounts of jewelry. You just smiled, nodded, and said thank you, and waited for the next face to appear in the mirror.
But the next shape that appeared was the face of your youngest sister, and you saw her lips opening and closing in slow motion. “What did you say?” You finally asked her after trying to decipher it for a little longer than necessary. The world around you finally entering your ears once again.
“Your hair,” she said. “It’s knotted in the back.” She pulled your hair as she said it, and you winced only just now feeling the pain.
“Stop shifting, you were fine just before!” She groaned in annoyance.
“Stop pulling my hair then!” You swiped at her hand that was holding the brush behind you, causing her to drop it.
“Girls,” your mother spoke up before the two of you could start arguing. “You’re getting married, Y/N. Maybe try to act like it.”
Your mother picked the brush up off the ground and shooed your sister away.
“She started it.” You mumbled under your breath and crossed your arms over your chest.
“And I’m ending it,” her reflection smiled at you in the mirror, brushing through your hair delicately. “Now come, I’ll help you into your dress.”
She took your hand and helped you stand up from the chair. Feeling the sharp pain shoot through your feet, you were already regretting having to put those uncomfortable shoes back on after the hours you’ve spent in them by now.
Leading you over towards a small platform, your mother helped you get into the intricate layers of your second gown that evening. Your four sisters were fluttering around you, gossiping about whatever drama they noticed at the ceremony, and passing random pieces to your mother. You stared at yourself in the mirror as more pieces of clothing were added to your body.
Your oldest sister stepped up behind you to tie the laces of your corset. “I’ll keep them loose so he doesn’t struggle too much.” She smiled from ear to ear and jumped off the platform, but not before you reached over and poked her between the ribs, causing her to yelp as she ran from you, laughing.
But your smile slowly started fading when the room suddenly became quiet. You noticed that the Queen was standing in the doorway, her hands folded tightly in front of her. Your mother greeted her, and the entire room curtsied, and it didn’t take long for your mother to reach her hand out again to you, urging you off the platform.
“She’s ready now, my Queen,” she said, smiling at you. She grasped your hand, not waiting for you to act on your own, and gently guided you towards the door.
The Queen stepped back into the hallway and you turned towards your mother. She kissed your cheek and wiped the tear that seemed to have slipped from the corner of your eye. You heard the Queen’s shoes start clicking as she began walking down the hallway, clearly not interested in watching your goodbye’s. You waved at your sisters who all seemed to have mellowed out now, no longer laughing and smiling, and started heading towards the Queen, but your mothers hand still held on to yours. She pulled you back in for a long, warm hug, “Good luck, my girl.” You turned away before your mother could see the tears spill over.
Catching up to Alicent, your nerves got the better of you, and your hands automatically went to your gown to smooth out the wrinkles that were truly never really there. “Wipe your tears,” Alicent said as you turned the corner, nearing Aemond’s chambers. As ordered, you gently swiped your fingers across your cheeks, in order to not ruin the delicate makeup that your sisters had worked so hard on.
You thought of Aemond, and if he was as nervous as you were. Scoffing, you realized that at this point he was probably too drunk to even remember the wedding had occurred. Maybe he would fall asleep before anything could even transpire, or so you hoped.
Reaching his door, Alicent stopped abruptly and turned to you. “Knock and wait for him to open the door,” she said, and was about to turn away but paused to study your face for a moment. Your heart felt like it was going to beat out of your chest, and you were sure the stress that you felt was painted all over your face.
“Everything will be okay.” She said suddenly, and reached her arms out to hug you. Hesitantly, you hugged her back. Looking down and quickly wiping away another stray tear as she let you go, she gave you a small smile and walked back down the hall.
You bit the inside of your cheek, wishing that no more tears would flow, and took the deepest breath you had ever taken in your life, releasing it as slowly as possible in order to prolong this moment. Finally, you reached out and knocked on the door twice, hoping that you knocked hard enough for him to hear it.
Taking two steps back, you held your breath this time in order to hear any sound coming from the other side of the door. But it was so silent that you could hear your ears ringing.
All of a sudden the heavy wooden door swung open. Startled, you jumped slightly, but soon enough you realized that the heartbeat echoing in your ears was not from fear, but from seeing him. Dressed all in black, as always, he was wearing a loose shirt and pants that seemed to fit him a little too well, and he was very much sober.
The smirk appeared on his face when he realized it was you and he leaned his body against the frame. “Hello, Y/N.” He greeted you, and opened the door a little further, inviting you into the dragon’s den.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
I imagine the reader (Baelon, Aegon, Healena, Aemond, Daeron) is his mother. Rhaenyra is also his biological daughter or was never born. Because I don't want it to be a war. If you want a version where Rhaenyra is her daughter, feel free to write.
Viserys had never had a love marriage to Aemma. This marriage was a duty. He had never mistreated her. They had become good friends. But that didn't stop her heart from wanting you. Y/N Velaryon was the King's first love. Viserys clung to her dreams every time Aemma had a failed pregnancy and was unable to give her an heir. She thought that her precious love could produce healthy pregnancies and healthy heirs. Queen Aemma did not manage to survive her last birth. Soon Viserys was to be married. Seizing this opportunity, she marries the reader. Viserys supports the reader with every pregnancy. He loves all children and treats them equally. Their love has managed to remain a subject in history books even after centuries. It gives a lot of gifts to the reader. He always tries to please his queen. He is overprotective of his wife and children.

Snow
It's snowing for me and thus snowy snow with the Targaryens
@akela
Tumblr media
Young Rheanyra doesn't understand her best friend's obsession with the snow. She doesn't quite understand that to her friend it meant that they can hear pure silence out in the Godswood. It meant that for a while, they can disappear into the snow and be hidden for hours.
"Princess, you need to stop gawking," Otto mumbled quietly toward the teen.
"They are my betrothed, Ser Hand. I can watch them all I want." Rheanyra said, looking toward him, a bored look on her face. The other ladies looked at the group and then noticed the other person in the snow.
Tumblr media
Daemon watched as his partner flopped into the snow inside the Godswood. He had a smile on his face the entire time as the person let themselves get buried in the snow while his daughters buried them. "Girls, be careful!" He called out, leaning against a tree.
Tumblr media
Viserys loved seeing his favorite people altogether, and with the snow. Aemma was making sure Rheanyra was bundled up while their shared partner was leaving small berries in the snow for the wild animals.
"Be careful, sweet!" Aemma called out, looking up at their partner for a second. Viserys let out a loud laugh. "They are always careful, Aemma."
Tumblr media
Older Rhaenyra held a bundled-up Joffery to her chest as her other children ran around her lover. Their eyes were full of love as they played with the boys. "Jace! Do not shove snow down Luce's shirt!" The person called out, a small laugh bubbling out.
"Let them be boys, jorrāelagon," Rheanyra called out, a smile on her face.
Tumblr media
Young Alicent laughed as her friend tossed a snowball at her. She hurried to bundle up a bit of snow to toss back. "Alicent!" Her head jerked hearing Rheanyra call for her only for a snowball to hit her in the face.
"Unfair!" She called out.
Tumblr media
Alicent smiled watching Aemond's carer show him the snow, Aegon was already faceplanted in it and Heleana was bundled up trying to hide from it. The toddler babbled as he watched the person scoop up snow and hold it out in front of him. "Careful of the cold with him!" She quickly spoke, making the person look up. "Do not worry, My Queen. I know to not shock him."
Tumblr media
Corlys and Rhaenys watched as their lover played with Laenor and Laena in the snow of Driftmark. The two chuckled when the children tackled them to the ground.
Tumblr media
Aegon held his glass of wine, watching as his love sat in the snow, letting it drop on them. "You do not need to be getting sick, my love."
The person laughed softly, turning to look at him. "The Maester's can take care of me, do not worry, my prince."
Tumblr media
Heleana laughed as her children's carer showed them a frosted leaf, telling them about how it freezes over to preserve itself. She couldn't hide her love for the carer.
Tumblr media
Aemond had a warm cloth pressed under his eyepatch as he watched his lover study the trees being covered in snow. "My love, I will need to head in soon." He warned, pretending to itch under the leather of his eye cover to show that he was hurting.
"Let us go in now, my love. I need not you being sick."
