Bad Batch x Non-Gendered Character - ONE SHOT
Tumblr media
This is my FIRST fan fic. Working on a much longer series fic with an OC that will drop...when it’s done. Criticism is welcome AS LONG AS IT’S KIND AND CONSTRUCTIVE. PLEASE feel free to contact me! I really want to hear feedback. Also, open to questions. All my work will be 18+ just because of my nasty mouth, nasty mind, and inappropriate dark humor. REMINDER: Please REBLOG if you like what you read! Thanks!!!
Summary: Action, Jedi learns to grow Force powers. This timeline is several months after leaving Crosshair on Kamino, near the end of working for Cid. The Batch is trying to figure a hook to be independent and possibly start actively rebelling against the Empire. This is set well before Mt Tantiss.
Content and Warnings: Canon and non-canon violence, swearing, momentary and possibly gruesome death of main characters (no worries, they don’t stay dead forever), Crosshair is an angry psychopathic killer with a vengeance (no hate, I love his problematic ass), mild Hunter fluff, touchy concerned Tech, Echo swears.
Word count:  2.1 K
**********************************************************************
You hadn’t expected to be separated from the rest of the Batch, however, Omega had other ideas “to help” on this mission. The Batch infiltrated this Imperial base for intel and possible chain codes to steal. You volunteered to run after and bring her back.  Spotted by Imperial stormtroopers in a corridor, you and Omega try to lose them, but they are hot on your tail. Omega hears the Batch’s voices down a hallway and runs to them.
You and Omega skid to a halt at the edge of a missing bridge while the rest of the Batchers are on the other side.  The precipice between is a several hundred story drop within the Imperial base. The group of stormtroopers rocked up behind you, guns lowered.  Hunter, Tech, and Wrecker looked on impotently across the chasm, weapons trained on the stormtroopers.  The Batch are poised, holding fire, trying to avoid any possibility of you and Omega getting caught in any crossfire.
Unfortunately, you had not finished training with your Master. Your Master did not survive Order 66. You were SO CLOSE to obtaining Jedi status.  Now it was up to YOU to save yourself and Omega.  Being captured was not an option at this point.  Although, allowing the Empire to take you and Omega might allow time for the Batch to retreat safely to fight later.  That carried serious risks.  You were very limited in options as far as your Force abilities.  Master had not given you a light saber, remarking that the Force had a different path for you.
The lead stormtrooper immediately grabbed you as a human shield, just as Wrecker let loose a shot from his blaster.  He intended to shoot the stormtrooper but hit you in the chest.  You slipped out of the stormtroopers grasp and off the edge of the bridge. You met Omega’s eyes as she called your name, while being dragged away by the same trooper.  As your body went into free fall down the chasm, you could hear your Batchmates scream, curse, and start blasting away.
As consciousness slips from your body, you close your eyes.  The sense of falling disappears, but you expected that by eventually reaching terminal velocity from this height.  You open your eyes and are standing on an outstretched infinite path within an ever-expanding universe.  Before you is a HUGE hulking creature with glowing eyes.
“What’s happening?  Where am I?”  You are simultaneously shocked, afraid, and unsure if this is all a dream.
The creature stares down, sizing you up.
“ In The World Between Worlds.”
“Am I dead???”
“No. It is not yet your time.  You are here to finish your training.”
“My friends need my help!  I need to get back to them!!!”
“You will return to help them; it is part of your training.”
“Who are you?”
“That matters not.  Only your path is of importance.  You cannot progress until your training is finished.  The lives within your care hang in the balance.  You and your group are linked together in that realm.  Your failure will be their failure...until you succeed.  Then you will be released from this realm to continue your path.”
It feels like the creature is staring into your soul, “The point of entry is behind you.”
You turn around to see...a doorway?  A dark threshold surrounded by cryptic symbols, suspended among stars.
“Are you ready?”
“No! I...”
“Begin!”
Your vision becomes a blur as you leave that place and return to where you were standing before falling off the platform.  The vertigo messes with your senses, and it all feels like you had a momentary hallucination.  Now back in this moment, you quickly spring into action.
You yell “NO WRECKER” immediately and Wrecker stops in his tracks.  Hunter is sensing something, but unsure what it is.  The Stormtrooper grabs you as a shield.  A second trooper grabs Omega and drags her away.  Omega starts using swears that only Echo could come up with as she is taken.  The Batch stand with blasters trained on the stormtroopers in defense but not wanting to hit you in the crossfire.  The trooper violently puts a foot in your ass and kicks you off the platform, then commences to start firing on the Batch.  You free fall down the chasm and...
...pass The World Between Worlds for a split second, and then appear back onto the platform.
You try again.
Omega is led away swearing up a storm while the stormtrooper is holding onto you.  Hunter calls to you, and in that moment, you sense the concern and love in his heart.  You also sense a dark presence in the Force, look up to the platform above and see Crosshair with his Firepuncher trained on you.  He was watching this exchange the whole time, waiting for the opportunity to shoot.  In his jealousy and anger, he fires, hitting you dead center between the eyes.  The very last thing you see is Cross grinning as he hears Hunter lose his shit.
The fabric of the connected realms brushes past you.
Again.
You yank the stormtrooper into Crosshairs blaster bolt as his body is hit, he stumbles into Omega and both fall off the platform to their impending deaths.  The stormtrooper behind him, seeing the target they were looking to take is now gone, opens fire on you.  You fall off the platform.
Again.
Before the trooper can grab you, you grab Omega and jump off the platform into the chasm.  With any luck, you can use the force to stop yourselves before hitting bottom.  Unfortunately, you and Omega’s fall velocity was too much for your Force abilities.
Again.
You grab Omega but try to save only her.  As you fall past hundreds of platforms, you try to yeet her onto one as you fall.  You are falling too fast, and your throw was severely off.  You hear a sickening thud as she hits something.
Again.
You attempt to Force jump, and only make it just short of the other side.  You yeet Omega across the chasm towards the Batch, Hunter jumps for her from the other side, and she slips from his grasp.  You hear them both scream above you as you fall.  Fortunately, Tech and Wrecker send out their grappling cables and catch both.  Blaster fire starts from the stormtroopers.  Tech is hit, falls off the platform, and takes Omega with him since she is attached to his cable.
Again.
You Force jump again, Hunter jumps but misses Omega.  Knowing Wrecker will catch Hunter with his grappling hook, you send out a Force block in front of Tech. He is shielded from blaster fire, but Wrecker is hit by several bolts.  He falls off the platform taking Hunter with him.  You hear Wrecker's insanely terrified scream as you all fall.  Hunter sends out his grappling cable and it catches.  His fall is stopped, but Wrecker’s weight wrenches Hunters body horribly.  He screams out in agony as he feels muscles tear.  They are hanging and safe momentarily...or so it seems.  A shot is heard from Firepuncher and Hunters cable is severed.  Both Batchers scream as they fall.
You try to hold onto the edges of the realm as you pass through, but it evades your grasp.
Again.
You grab the lead stormtroopers gun while he is still holding onto it and keep pushing his finger onto the trigger, you shoot him and several other imps.  You fire several shots towards Crosshair, preventing him from shooting at you.  However, one hotshot trooper in the back squeezes off and hits you right in the back fatally.
Again.
Same scenario, but you spin the trooper around and use him as a human shield and the hotshot misses you.  However, Crosshair blasts you at the base of your skull.  The last thing you see is Omega’s terrified expression as you fall onto the platform next to your teeth his shot loosened in the blast.
AGAIN?
You are getting sick of playing this fucked up reset game already.  In your anger, you quickly grab the stormtrooper and throw his ass off the platform.  The Batch and Omega watch shocked at your anger.  The other stormtroopers are taken by surprise, as you advance on them and grab another.  Crosshair is attempting to aim, but you are moving too much. The hotshot trooper aims his weapon. You and the trooper in your grasp struggle violently. The hotshot cannot get a good clear shot.  Finally, he squeezes one off and misses you. However, he didn’t consider where Omega is standing, and she takes a direct hit. You hear your Batchmates scream in outrage. You scream in outrage. The hotshot screams in frustration, then double taps you and the trooper in your grasp in the head simultaneously.
AGAIN??
You grab the stormtroopers gun while still in his hand and shoot yourself in the head.  You just want this exhausting mess to be over.
AGAIN???
You fall onto the platform in a crumpled pile crying.  Stormtroopers AND Crosshair shoot you at the same time, resulting in a horrible, charred mess.
AGAIN???
You scream bloody murder and obscenities at Crosshair.  He shoots you between the eyes.
AGAIN!
You jump off the edge of the platform screaming obscenities like a crazy person.
Before reset, you see the expression on the creatures face.  He looks disappointed and replies, “You aren’t even trying.  Reach out beyond the boundaries of your realm” As you angrily try to spout off to him, you are thrown violently into the next reset.
AGAIN!!!
Standing on the platform, you take a deep breath and survey the scene.  You mull over the creatures words.  Time seems to slow down: You sense the stormtroopers behind you, looking into each of eyes of the Batch; Hunter, Tech, Wrecker, up to Crosshair, finally resting on Omega.  You mouth, “Trust me” to her and she nods.
Time suddenly slams into overdrive, and you instantly pivot to bearhug Omega.  The trooper misses your shoulder and grabs open air.  The shot from Crosshair’s Firepuncher, originally meant for you, hits the trooper right between the eyes and he falls off the platform.  You reach deep within the Force, grab the thin tether of this realm and open it wide.  You then realize you were only meant to grasp it at the start of your actions, not at the end.  You “push” through with the Force, taking Omega with you.  As you “slide” from one location to another, you pass the creature.  He nods as you pass from the world you left only a millisecond ago, through the timeless World Between Worlds.
“Congratulations, Jedi!  Your training is complete.”
You part the curtain to your world again, entering behind the Batch.  Hunter, before his eyes even register your disappearance on the opposite platform, senses a presence behind them.  His head whips around to see you and Omega are now out of harm's way.  His jaw drops inside his helmet.  Tech, seeing Hunters reaction, immediately spins around, his eyes are visibly dumbfounded “What?  How?”  Wrecker calmly looks behind him, seeing you and Omega there safely, doesn’t question.  He barks, “MUAHAHAHA!  YEAH!!!” and opens fire on all the befuddled stormtroopers standing on the opposite platform.
With Wreckers cover fire, Hunter grabs Omega and runs down the hallway while yelling, “Let’s go!”  Tech runs past and grabs your hand.  He’s usually not touchy feely, but somewhere deep in his logical brain he understands that whatever happened saved your and Omega’s life.  All the quick calculations he was running in his brain logically ended in you both dying.  Wrecker is happily hopped up on blaster fire and the relief you are both safe.  He follows running behind.
Crosshair is left on his sniper's roost.  He hasn’t EVER missed a target.  This was his first time. You were there one second and gone next to his surprise.  Stares down at all the dead troopers laying on the platform below, gnawing hard on his toothpick.  He’s angry...but intrigued.  Maybe instead of killing you outright next time, he can land a stunning blow.  The Empire might be VERY interested if he brought you in alive.  Cross sprints away down a shortcut.
Your group reaches the end of the hallway and bursts out into the ship hangar bay.  A large battalion of stormtroopers meet you there, with guns aimed.  You all stop, out of breath, and possibly out of luck.  Echo swoops in with the Marauder hovering and laying down suppressive cannon fire.  Unfortunately, there are too many imps for him to dispatch while also landing successfully.  Hunter and Tech are furiously looking for a way out.
You reach out with the Force and envelope Hunter, Tech, Wrecker, and Omega.  Before opening the fabric of this realm, you feel eyes on you.  Looking to a ledge several stories up, Crosshair meets your gaze.  You both stare intensely into each other.  Without even realizing it, you reach out and speak with the Force:
“Why???”
“Because...” Slight shock registering on Crosshair’s face “...I can.”
“You’ll regret this someday...when you’re all alone.”
“I already am.”  He’s angry and hurt.  There is nothing more you can say.
You slide through, taking all the Batchers with you and suddenly appearing within the Marauder.
Wrecker: “WHOA!”
Tech: Speechless, wide eyed...and STILL holding your hand.
Omega: Dizzy and winded.
Hunter: Rips helmet off his head. His expression is wild eyed and looks like he saw some serious shit.  "What was that place? Who was that creature?”
Echo:  Spins around in the pilot’s chair, eyes wide “WHAT THE FUCK!!!”
You grin.  And watch the Batch trying to piece together their sudden location movement and glimpse of the creature between worlds.
Giving the order to Echo you bark, “Let’s go, soldier!”
He’s still sitting there with a shocked expression, then laser blasts pepper the ship, and he regains composure.  Echo flies the Marauder out of the Imperial facility, off the planet, scrambles the ships jump signature, and punches it into hyperspace.

Should I pursue certain plot points further and make this MORE than a one shot? What develops with Crosshair? Tech's hand holding awakening? Why was Hunter the only one to actually see the creature? Or whatever else you might want to explore? PLEASE message me or leave a comment! AND, PLEASE REBLOG! Thanks!!!

CRESTRON OS 4 - L'EVOLUZIONE DEL SISTEMA DOMOTICO
Tumblr media
How are industrial robotic arm controlled ?
How are robotic arms are controlled? Do they need a separate CNC control? Are PLCs used to control robotic arms at all? Is the industry moving to an embedded control system at all?
Tumblr media
Industrial robotic arms are typically controlled using a combination of hardware and software components. The control system for industrial robotic arms consists of the following key elements:
Robot Controller: The robot controller is the central component of the control system. It is a dedicated computer or embedded system that manages the overall operation of the robotic arm. The controller is responsible for receiving commands, processing them, and generating control signals for the arm’s actuators.
Programming and Command Input: To control the robotic arm, it needs to be programmed with specific instructions. This can be done through various methods, including:
Offline Programming: Robotic arm movements and tasks are programmed using specialized software on a computer. The program is then transferred to the robot controller.
Teach Pendant Programming: Operators manually move the robotic arm through the desired motions using a teach pendant or handheld device. The positions and actions are recorded and saved as a program.
Integrated Programming: Some robotic arms offer integrated programming interfaces, allowing operators to program the arm’s movements directly through intuitive user interfaces or by physically guiding the arm through the desired path.
Sensors and Feedback: Industrial robotic arms are equipped with various sensors to provide feedback and enable precise control. These sensors include:
Encoders: Measure the position and velocity of the arm’s joints, providing feedback on their actual positions.
Force/Torque Sensors: Measure forces and torques applied by the arm’s end effector, enabling it to react to external forces or maintain a specific force during tasks.
Vision Systems: Cameras and vision sensors allow the robotic arm to perceive and interact with its environment, detect objects, and perform tasks based on visual information.
Actuators and Motors: The robotic arm’s joints are actuated using motors, such as electric servo motors or hydraulic/pneumatic actuators. The control signals generated by the robot controller are sent to these actuators, enabling precise control of the arm’s movement and positioning.
Safety Systems: Industrial robotic arms are equipped with safety systems to ensure safe operation in collaboration with human operators. These may include emergency stop buttons, safety interlocks, proximity sensors, and software features that monitor and respond to potential collisions or hazardous situations.
Communication and Integration: Industrial robotic arms often need to communicate with other systems and devices in the manufacturing environment. This can involve integration with supervisory control systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), and other automation equipment to coordinate tasks and exchange data.
By combining these elements, the control system of an industrial robotic arm enables precise and efficient operation, executing programmed tasks with speed, accuracy, and safety.

Flatbed & Rollback Tow Trucks for sale for Beginners
When you find yourself adhered on the roadway and in requirement of a tow, which haul truck would you choose to call? What's your encounter/idea that obtained you to the flight terminal and how did you handle the puzzle? Discuss your take in below and leave a remark. Tell us what you think by hitting "Submit" beneath. This article might consist of hyperlinks to Amazon or various other partners; your purchases via these hyperlinks can profit Serious Eats. Read additional concerning our partner connecting policy. Some people don’t actually care which tow vehicle comes to the rescue as long as they are rescued. It's like throwing funds in to the ocean, and not believing.". If 24 hour towing look at it the other means right here, what we are finding with the motor vehicles coming down coming from the mountain range is precisely what occurred right here during the height season. The cars are going to be towed to the saving, but as the time passes, their tow trucks quit for a complete 90 seconds. On the other hand, some people firmly insist on possessing flatbed tow trucks simply because some folks suggest them to do therefore. In this situation, the feedback was in reality to have their garages be steered through a flatbed tractor, but with thus little gas required. While some may take offense, it is feasible that these folks strongly believe in God merely because they think that it is better to get your life all together as you go concerning your day than to specified up a individual automobile. Flatbed tow vehicles are fantastic for a assortment of causes and they are additionally ideal for a variety of scenarios. Having said that, they possess a possibility to blow up in your car when the steering pillar acquires hard to always keep stand-up. Below's a video coming from an examination that takes you to the garage where you could find an ax properly made and you could really ride your tow vehicle certainly there through yourself. If you're significant about going to a garage, there's an additional choice out there certainly. We’ll talk about these functional devices in even more in detail under: Why Need to You Utilize A Flatbed Tow Truck? I lately went via my excursion with a flatbed vehicle and a flatbed cab, one that I never made use of extra commonly than I would have just liked. Both were reasonably brand new. The vehicle I possessed was a 2002 Honda Civic, therefore it appeared rather much like a genuine flatbed. But I didn't understand I required to swap out the back for the front one. Better Safety For Vehicles If you are anxious regarding the security of your lorry, after that the greatest tow truck to utilize is the flatbed tow vehicles. They are designed to lug cars for as long as essential. They are quite sizable to pull on a lot, and they can be quite costly to purchase and several opportunities over. A lot of the automobiles we have discovered that have flatbed tows do not possess any air bags accommodated, so that prevents any kind of unexpected decrease in the motor vehicle. The reason for this is that the vehicle is maintained entirely off the roadway by means of the transportation. The primary make use of of the lorry for this function is to deliver for transportation to college, workplaces and various other sites in the area such as public bus stations and train terminals in core Moscow, and likewise to sustain the procedures of the airport terminal in the situation of crashes. The vehicle driver of the bus (at least that is how it is named) was able to access the automobile for the very first opportunity in December 1980. This means that all the tires are protected particularly coming from irregular damage and split. Very most notably, and not minimum because of how limited it is, tire treads are not the kind of material where there is actually any type of abrasion on the tire. I locate that there would be some advantage of making use of non-rear-facing tires with an typical velocity of around 50 mph but not excellent reliability on the throttle. In phrases of cornering efficiency, nonetheless, the footstep is not all that grippy. If you are looking into stopping early repair and substitute of your tires, at that point a flatbed tow vehicle is the best means to go. It is rather simple to install. It can easily be located directly in front of your home or can be held as a portable tire package, although if you are bring the van as an help you will definitely need to have to buy one. It is worth appearing at our substantial internet site, as properly as a excellent web list.

Being off the street additionally avoids the vehicle from working in to bumps and gaps as it is drew. The protection of the vehicle driver's head is the even more necessary item of the challenge.". The system permits the automobile to instantly spot a wreck and to aid with collisions in numerous situations through supplying emergency braking, brake lightings, side-impact diagnosis and even more. This procedure was authorized through the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit in May 2014. Also, the cars and truck is much less likely to be destroyed through clutter on the roadway in this technique. The motorcyclist was hurt, thus his collision need to have been prevented. Featuring a big face (and a little nose) or little hands, you may be startled by how similar some of the qualities of this vehicle become in front of you. It simply comes along because you're a really athletic person and desire to be able to attacked a road and struck a hard object well. Compatible With A lot of Vehicles Unlike other kinds of tow vehicles, flatbed tow trucks are a lot more extremely versatile when it happens to the cars and trucks that they can easily carry. For instance, they may carry over the program of two hours to three days at marginal cost to the driver. To carry heavy volumes of traffic all over a vast wide array of motorways, flatbed tow vehicles can easily be set up in a lot of area, and can easily often be rented, with the same facilities and amenities when using common trucks.

Okay no but Vlad just trying to womb Danny before Clockwork does, not bothering to explain one goddamn thing to the poor lad. Just a one-shot. Danny escapes and flies off at the end. Clockwork in his tower laughs/chuckles at Vlad's attempt. How would that go. What would the attempt even look like
If Danny were to make a list of his least favorite places to be, all iterations of 'Vlad's house' would rate somewhere below lovely vacation spots like the River of Revulsion, the Consuming Maw, and Hell. Despite this, he wound up at one or another of Vlad's residences with some frequency.
But he'd never been to Vlad's lair. He very much did not want to break his streak of 'not being in Vlad's lair,' because as bad as being in all of Vlad's other houses was, a ghost's lair moved according to its owner's will.
Which is why his current predicament (hit with the Plasmius Maximus and in one of Skulker's nets) was so disturbing.
"Uh, Skulker, when you said lair you meant his stupidly oversized castle mansion thing in Wisconsin, right?"
"Didn't you blow that up?"
"Oh. Well, yeah, but he rebuilt." Danny subtly began picking at the knots tying the net together.
"And then you blew it up again."
"Okay, I can see how you'd think that, but the second time wasn't me. It was the government."
"Right. Sure." If Skulker had recognizable irises pupils, Danny was sure they'd be rolling.
"No, really. But I'm sure I could blow up his actual lair, too, you know? So, I'm not sure why he'd want me there. Actually, I'm not sure why you're taking me there instead of, you know, skinning me yourself."
"Something I've been asking myself since you woke up and started talking."
"Always such a kidder. But seriously."
"Well, you see, I like having an independent existence," said Skulker, "and that takes money and resources. Besides, I can always hunt you again after this. You'll be even more of a challenge!"
"Why will I be more of a challenge in Vlad's stupid lair? You know he's just going to try and clone and replace me again."
Skulker snorted.
"How do you even do that in a robot suit?"
"That's for me to know and you to never find out."
They came to a stop in front of a purple door decorated with elaborate gold inlay.
"Ugh, he's so pretentious," complained Danny, covering up the fact that his heart was currently beating out of his chest.
Skulker knocked on the door, which immediately flew open, revealing Vlad as Plasmius.
"Wow, were you waiting for us at the door? Needy much?"
Vlad looked down his nose at Danny. "I don't expect you to understand, Daniel. Yet."
"Do you practice being ominous in the mirror? I think you'd benefit from improv classes. More feedback from real people. I'd say get it from your friends but- Ow!" Danny yelped as Vlad hit him with a miniature ectoblast.
"You'll receive your payment in the usual way," said Vlad, blandly.
"Great," said Skulker. "Have fun, whelp."
Danny struggled reflexively as Skulker handed the net over. It didn't do any good. The door to Vlad's lair shut with a definitive thud.
"Whatever you're planning," said Danny, "you aren't going to get away with it."
"I daresay I already have, son."
"I'm not your son, fruitloop," hissed Danny. (The Plasmius Maximus might have rendered his ghost half dormant, but that didn't mean it was gone, or that he didn't retain behaviors learned from it in all forms.)
"Hm," said Vlad. He touched the back of Danny's neck through the net, then traced over his skin to the edge of his jaw, which he forced up so Danny had to twist uncomfortably, his hair catching in the net.
Danny scratched at the hand, but of course Vlad was, as always, wearing those thick gloves, and Danny's fingernails were currently very human and blunt.
"You're a feral little thing, aren't you?" He pushed Danny's neck into a position that was actively painful without the benefit of ghostly flexibility. "Not for long, though, I should think."
Without another word, he strode off into the depths of his lair.
Vlad's lair was much like his mortal residences. Vampire meets football fan meets dramatic gothic romance that missed the point. If Danny had access to his ghost half, he suspected he'd be able to feel Vlad's ectosignature permeating the ectoplasm in the air to an oppressive degree.
As it was, the heat was bad enough. His body had long since offloaded the task of cooling to his ghost half, and was having some trouble remembering how to act.
"Here we are," said Vlad, stopping in front of an especially fancy door. He opened it, and threw Danny in, then closed the door without entering.
Danny, a bit confused by this turn of events, took stock of his surroundings. The door had smoothed out into a tapestry-covered wall. The room was lit only by ectoplasmic glow and felt oddly... soft. All surfaces were upholstered with ornate, green and gold embroidered cloth. There were many pillows, but no hard furniture.
Also, the ectoplasm in the air was so thick it almost felt like Danny was underwater and so charged with energy his hair was standing on end. Even with his ghost half thoroughly zapped by the Plasmius Maximus, it was making Danny feel a little tipsy. If his ghost half had been active at all, he would have been blissed out and essentially immobile as he involuntarily gorged himself.
He shuddered at the thought. The energy here was probably very Vlad, not to mention putting Danny into that state was probably Vlad's plan.
Which, Danny decided, was the most disturbing part of all of this. Small doses of energized ectoplasm acted like side-effect free energy drinks for Danny. Sufficiently large doses, or prolonged exposure to high-energy ectoplasm, however, acted like a euphoric and a depressant for reasons Danny didn't understand. Since this didn't seem to be the case for any other ghosts he'd encountered, Danny had chosen to keep it quiet.
This meant that either Vlad had the same problem, and it was a halfa thing (no evidence, plus, if that was the case he'd have a hard time getting Danny out of here... assuming he'd eventually want to do that), or he'd been putting spy cams in Fentonworks again (historical precedent).
Either way, it meant that Danny had a time limit. Once the Plasmius Maximus wore off, it was limp noodle time for Danny.
He squirmed until he found the tied-shut opening of the net. As opposed to the structural knots, this would probably be easier to deal with.
... of course Skulker was also good at tying knots, darn it.
Eventually, with slightly raw fingertips, Danny crawled out of the net. Now what? The room had no doors.
If he had been in the larger Ghost Zone, he could walk through walls as a human with little effort, convincing unattached structures to go intangible around him through force of will. Even Walker's Prison, that he claimed and maintained, could be cajoled.
Lairs were different. Lairs were tied to the wills of their ghosts. Unless the power levels of the ghost in question was vastly beneath your own, attempting to fight a ghost in their lair was futile.
Getting this room to let him out would be hard.
But maybe not impossible.
Thing was, lairs were tied to their ghosts' wills. Not their brains.
(And Vlad wasn't the brightest guy to begin with.)
Danny put on his 'acting' face. "Wow, I sure love unkie Vwad~"
.
After several long, excruciatingly embarrassing minutes of monologuing about how awesome Vlad was and how cool it would be if he let him out, Danny was able to push through the wall into the corridor outside.
Embarrassing for Vlad, that is. Even having done it on purpose, Danny was still rather surprised that Vlad fell for it.
Okay. Now, all he had to do was find the door out, and assuming that Vlad's lair wasn't one that shuffled itself internally all the time...
There!
It wasn't even locked.
He dove through the door and out into the Ghost Zone, not caring that he couldn't fly in human form. Falling was fine. It was fast. There wasn't anything for him to hit.
Well...
He was inching closer to terminal velocity now.
It was mostly fine.
How long ago had he been hit by the Plasmius Maximus?
.
Far away in a very different lair, Clockwork smiled fondly at Daniel's antics. Plasmius, Plasmius, Plasmius. Didn't he know that he'd never get anywhere like that?
Clockwork set his chin on his fist as he watched Daniel fall and gently nudged various real world debris out of his path. He had a room like that in his lair as well, infinitely more suitable, waiting for Daniel. Waiting for the right time.
And, as Master of Time, Clockwork was sure it would come soon.

request: if you vibe with it Spencer X Reader lowkey songfic for Dandelions by Ruth B. Spencer is recovering from Cat traumatizing him and the Reader is a baby tech analyst for the BAU. The Reader learns Spencer believes that he’ll never find true love, and so the Reader pretty much corners him in the techy bat cave and makes him dance with her (to the song). Ends with a semi established relationship and Reader let’s Spencer know she’ll love him when he’s ready. :) ❤️
so before we embark on this story, I just want to let you all know that i’m only up to season 4 of CM, but because of tik tok, i know most of the spoilers already, but i’ll try my absolute best
word count: 2,167                                                                                     reading time aprox: 8 mins

It was a leisurely night at the BAU, the usual fleeting agents that roamed around the bullpen causing an uproar of commotion was replaced by a serene environment that was inhibited by a few individuals. It was around the time of the holidays meaning most of the agents had either went home to their loved ones or went to the bars to their loved ones, also known as 5-6 vodka shots with a beer on the side.
The lights began to dim at the office indicating it was close to midnight. My eyes had accustomed to the sudden change of brightness due to the simple fact that Penelope’s office was just a technically advanced bat cave littered with eclectic trinkets from thrift shops.
I could remember stepping into Penelope’s office expecting an immaculate high tech lair, only to discover a physical representation of Pen’s psyche splattered in all the crevices of the dark room. Apprenticing for Garcia had been the best decision I’ve made considering that my original disposition was to work in counter terrorism where there wasn’t an unorthodox and silly tech goddess. Not only that, but the BAU team had become more than family to me, taking into account that my biological family had abandoned me when I was young.
I grew up with a developed resentment against love knowing that people will always abandon you in the end. Despite my childhood, ever since I’ve joined the team, all that contempt dissipated transforming into nothing but genuine love for the people around me.
And sometimes I held a little bit of extra love for definitive individuals.
I was closing up a few files on Pen’s computer, rewriting the encryptions on her documents to secure her confidentiality when I peered out into the bullpen, a forlorn and solitary silhouette crouched into a seat came to view. The chair swaying side to side in combination with the lackluster lights made it particularly burdensome to identify the figure. The bullpen had emptied out, leaving the creature to it’s lonesome, adding to the ambiguity of the atmosphere.
It was only when JJ approached the cryptic individual that it had clicked in my head. Spencer’s hair popped into view as JJ adjusted his desk lamp to give off more light. She had her bag and jacket hanging on her left arm signaling her departure from the office. She conversed with Spencer offering him a cup of coffee which he politely declined with a tight lipped smile. With this response, she patted his shoulder motherly and made her way to bureau’s glass doors.
The sounds of the rubber stopper hitting the frame of the door indicated that JJ had completely left, leaving the bullpen with the inhabitants of me and Spencer. Although I don’t think he’s acknowledged my occupancy in Pen’s office as he let out a disgruntled sigh, dragging his hands over his perturbed visage.
In the attempt to leave him to his aloofness, I resorted back to my tasks at hand on Pen’s computer, yet an almost incoherent sniffle echoed throughout the office, catching my ears off-guard.
I reverted my attention to Spencer once again, watching him pull at his hair while briskly wiping away the dampness that had formed on his face.
I felt a hefty tug at my heartstrings, feeling as if my chest cavity began to collapse in on it’s self. My esophagus congealed to the sounds of anguish that emitted past Spencer’s lips, feeling destitute as the boy became his own source of self reproach.
My thoughts fought each other for the custody of my actions, contesting the ideas of soothing the boy or leaving him to his own. It was quite a delicate matter to approach considering the topics that had led him to spiral.
Spencer Reid had only cared about one thing in the world: his mother and with the recent allegations with Cat Adams resurfacing, he’s been nothing but a ball of disquietude. His intelligence was the only wall that he’d build around himself that protected his unconscious mind from blemishing the utopian reality he had constructed in his conscious mind. It had been the barrier between his internal chaos and serendipity.
Who knew one woman would be able to decimate the very thing he fabricated since his youth.
After a few revelations, I became determined to release Spencer of the abhorrent thoughts his mind must of been swarmed in. Messing with bureau’s network, I connected to speakers that were planted in the bullpen that were utilized for broadcasts.
I leaned over Penelope’s set up, grabbing the mic she hid behind her monitors and connected it wirelessly to the speaker. This ended up emitting a loud echo of feedback that resonated throughout the office, hence catching Spencer’s attention to the ceiling. He looked bewildered at the sudden blare, but settled down as the sound of my voice flooded the room.
“Dr. Spencer Reid, please report to your nearest tech analyst. Again, Dr. Spencer Reid please report to your tech analyst” I announced, earning a wholesome smile from Spencer as he directed his attention to the office. He waved at me through the open door, chuckling while he stood up to press the wrinkles that had formed on his blazer.
My heart swelled, growing exponentially vast as his demeanor changed to a more merry disposition. I could already feel the apprehensive twinges begin to appear at my wrists and the ever-growing grin plant itself on my lips.
Once he arrived at the door frame, he let out an inaudible welcome as I grabbed an extra office chair for him to sit on.
“Long day?” I inquired, reclaiming my spot in my own chair. He leaned back on the spine of the seat, letting out a reluctant chuckle that held more gravity than he wanted to reveal.
“You have no idea” He replied with a frigid smile. He fidgeted with the tips of his fingers while he gazed at the floor below him.
“I was 14″ I stated, earning an inquisitive reaction from Spencer. “I was 14 when I decided to reject any form of aid, affection, or remorse from anyone who even came close to knowing me” I admitted, watching his face contort into vulnerability as if my words hit a weak spot in his barricade. “I told myself of the cold reality of the world and that no amount of consolation or love would change that”. I pulled my seat closer to Spencer, making our interaction a bit more intimate and fervent. “That wasn’t until I met you-” I confessed, now acquiring his full undivided regard. “-an-and the team. You guys proved me wrong and convinced me otherwise of my radical theories” I continued.
I searched for empathy in his eyes, but was met with a distant and doleful gaze while he sucked in his lips as it began to quiver. He took in a sharp breath, maintaining a adamant composure.
“Spencer, I know it’s been difficult and I’m sorry I can never understand the hardships you must be going through. But, I need you to realize that there are so many people who consider you one of the best parts of their lives” I professed, laying a tender palm on his knee. “That’s including me, you’ve been nothing but the best little genius I’ve had the privilege to be around, even with your constant rambling”. We both laughed at this statement, meeting each other’s gazes as if we were studying each other. “You need to let us in once and while. I don’t like seeing you get down on yourself for things that are normal to feel”
Spencer laid a warm hand on top of my own, squeezing it in acknowledgment before laying his head low once again. “I-i don’t think” He began, pausing in between his phrases to find the right words to articulate. “I don’t think I can ever find true love” He confided, running his fingers through the tangled bits of hair. “After Maeve, Cat, and now my mom, it seems like everything I ever try to love gets ripped out of my hands” He explained.
With an idea in mind, I scooted away from him and to the computer that was still connected to the bureau’s sound system. I logged onto my Spotify account and began to play Dandelions by Ruth B. The mellow melody streamed throughout the entire room, engulfing the both of us in the beginning verse of the song.
Maybe it's the way you say my name Maybe it's the way you play your game But it's so good, I've never known anybody like you But it's so good, I've never dreamed of nobody like you
“How about I get your mind off of it for a little while?” I offered, laying my hand out for him to grab.
“No, no Y/N. I’m not much of a dancer” He dismissed, shaking his head.
“Come on now doctor” I giggled, pulling at his fingers to join me. “You may not have a PhD in dance, but I’m pretty sure you can calculate the terminal velocity of how you drop that ass” I joked, intertwining our hands as he finally conceded to my antics.
“Oh god Y/N, I’ll dance with you if you never say that again” He placed a supple hand on the indents of my waist while he centered his feet to match mine.
After configuring himself, he looked down at me, really emphasizing the height difference between us. “Now was that so bad?” I teased, a toothy grin making it’s appearance on my face. The warmth that was radiating from the both of us made the small gesture more visceral, sending an irrefutable sensation of yearning throughout my entire body.
Hopefully, it elicited the same feeling for him
He took the lead, swaying us side to side while the chorus of the song saturated our eardrums, repositioning his hand to the small of my back. He exhaled a cumbersome sigh, lulling himself into my embrace.
Cause I'm in a field of dandelions Wishing on every one that you'll be mine, mine And I see forever in your eyes I feel okay when I see you smile, smile
I felt every tap, fidget, or movement Spencer made on the soft skin of my spine to match the rhythm of the melody. My head found asylum in the crevice of his shoulder, letting my hair fall into place as we slow danced. At this moment, I felt reality shift around me at a turtle’s pace, time seemed to have completely marooned, and all I could fixate on was the shallow breaths Spencer would take.
“Thank you...Y/N, it really does mean a lot” Spencer attested, making me raise my head to meet his hazel eyes. Looking into them was like swimming in a pool of milk and honey while the sunshine eradicated all the bad in the world. “I know I’m not one open up about things like this, but you’re right and you reminded me of that, so thank you” He placed a loving kiss on my forehead, lingering momentarily before retracting.
“Spencer?” I spoke up
“Yes?”
“I know that you think that love may not be possible for you, but you’re forgetting that Rossi looks at you as if you were his own son, JJ basically thinks of you as her own brother, and I love you too”. I pushed a stray curl that fell in front of him face, caressing his cheek in the process of placing the hair back to where it belongs. “Just like energy, love can’t be destroyed, just transformed” I quoted, settling my hands behind his neck.
“And you?”
I hummed in inquisitiveness.
“What do you consider me as?”
I furrowed my eyebrows, beckoning him to continue as I was unable to fully comprehend what he was getting at.
“You said Rossi thought of me as a son, JJ as a brother. So what do you consider me as?” He pressed, pulling me closer to his chest.
I could practically feel his breath fanning over my face while a tinted blush blossomed on the apple of my cheeks. “I think that’s another conversation for another dance. Don’t you think?” I suggested in attempt to stray away from his prying.
“So you’re going to pull me into another dance?” He grinned.
“Possibly, if you’re up for it of course”
He shook his head chuckling, gently pushing me out, twirling me as he did before letting me rest on his chest. Silence drowned out the room as the song finally came to an end, yet we still stood in each other’s embrace to prolong the occasion
“Spence, I know that you need time. But just know when you are ready, that I’ll be here for you” I confessed, looking directly in his eyes.
“I’ll be here ready to love you whenever you’re ready to love yourself first”
I'm in a field of dandelions Wishing on every one that you'll be mine, mine

Red and blue lights flash across Baekhyun’s face, dousing him in colors multiple shades removed from his true skin tone. Half his face is red, and the other is blue, making him look like an alien when he catches his reflection in the mirrored walls. As if to make him feel more inhumane than he looks, the club’s DJ plays an electronic, pitch-shifted version of Bublé’s “Sway with Me,” filling his ears with the sound of a distorted saxophone and a shrill orchestra. Standing there, even with the song’s thumping bass in his stomach, Baekhyun can’t feel more detached from the dozens of people dancing around him.
A woman with bright pink hair grabs him by the arm and tries to pull him onto the light-up dancefloor, but Baekhyun simply pushes her away as he fights against the crowd. Several times, both men and women attempt to lure him into dancing, but all of their faces are uncomfortably unfamiliar, disgusting Baekhyun and causing him to fight harder. By the time he gets through the thickest portion of the dancing patrons, he’s scowling angrily and brushing the sleeves of his shirt to smooth the wrinkles. Fortunately, after walking through the crowd, Baekhyun catches sight of his two assistants and wannabe proteges: Mark and Taeyong.
Although both Mark and Taeyong have dyed their hair outlandish colors despite Baekhyun’s urging not to, it’s a good thing that they did so. Mark’s bright-red head and Taeyong’s emerald green locks make them look like highlighters even in a club flashing with all colors of the rainbow.
Before Baekhyun can approach Mark or Taeyong, however, a woman grabs him by collar of his shirt.
THIS FIC IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE ON TUMBLR.

This is a prompt for @cyclone-rachel who gave me an idea for one of the possible fears Brainy could have faced that would have certainly held a lot more weight in the narrative. Namely, his fear that they couldn’t save Kara in time.
Thanks for the prompt, Rachel, I hope you like it!
“Everyone strap in for turbulence.”
Brainy left Kelly for his own seat feeling somewhat reassured, although that still did not deter the steady onset of nerves continuing to bud inside his chest.
Just last year, emotions such as these could have been very easily compartmentalised, and though he could still manage such tasks by honing his full concentration, it didn’t escape him how every negative emotion fought that much harder to remain at the forefront of his mind.
Fear had never perturbed him quite like it did now. In the Legion, Brainy had met many a terrifying foe, and had even run into creatures that had fed on one’s basest fears. He had always been used as the voice of reason during those instances - relied upon by his team due to his twelfth level intellect, of course, but also because he had always appeared far more impassive against adversaries of that nature. Indeed, he had quickly become the first line of defence for his fellow Legionnaires when faced with scenarios that involved emotional manipulation.
Brainy hadn’t minded, and at the time he hadn’t considered just how such events might have affected him in the long term. How much grief or torment he’d bottled deep inside without even realising the impact it might have had on his psyche.
Instead, he had felt only satisfaction that he was relied upon to deter such emotional conflicts, even if – in the past – he had at times been the instigator of similar arguments simply by stating fact over softening strategies that more empathetic members of the team may have used in his steed.
It had never been his intention, of course, but now he was beginning to understand the importance of cushioning techniques when it came to dealing with emotional unbalance. Kelly had certainly used them by assuring him he would likely not need to use her coping methods during this mission. Logically, however, Brainy knew that it was only a matter of time before the Phantom Zone affected them all in one way or another.
Brainy shook his head, easing himself back into his chair. He tried to settle his nerves by doing as J’onn had instructed. He snapped the belt over his lap, perusing the control panel before him as he glanced up at the screen mapping out their progress so far, the Q waves that projected continuously from the Phantom, far across the rocky and ancient terrain ahead of them.
Then, something flashed.
A white hot light impeded his vision for barely a moment, but it was enough for him to turn away, blinking against the unexpected hindrance. Harsher turbulence followed soon after, causing Brainy to sprawl awkwardly towards the control panel, holding himself upright. He squeezed his eyes shut, fractals of light still swimming in the darkness, before he looked up again, focusing on the screen’s readings. Such a violent strike against the ship’s defences could have easily created a number of problems, scenarios of which were already whirring at a dizzying pace through Brainy’s mind.
What he found on those screens was far worse than anything he could have calculated.
The Phantom was still present and accounted for, the feedback from the cells confirmed as much. And yet… something was wrong. So very, very wrong.
The Phantom’s Q-wave activity had all but evaporated.
Brainy frowned, reaching for the foreign make-up of J’onn’s controls, quickly mastering the Martian design as he linked with the ship’s mainframe. Perhaps the knock to the ship had caused a communication error with the Phantom’s psionic feedback.
But, after only a few seconds within the ship’s network, Brainy was able to determine that the connection was still well intact. In fact, there were no underlying errors presenting themselves anywhere within the ship. Instead, it appeared that the Q waves had simply vanished.
Which could only mean one thing.
“No, nononono,” Brainy muttered to himself, pressing aggressively at the panel. “This can’t be right. This-” He pushed back in his chair, running a hand through his hair. “The Phantom. It lost Supergirl’s scent.”
Brainy only realised he’d announced that to the room when he heard uneasy murmurs begin to circulate behind him. Quick to abandon J’onn’s safety measures, his friends moved from their designated seats, swarming around Brainy’s screen.
“What do you mean?” Alex asked tightly. Brainy envisioned she was stood closest to him, an assumption that was quickly verified when her hand clenched around the back of his chair. “How is that possible?”
“It’s not,” Lena said darkly. “The Phantom’s a superpowered bloodhound, it wouldn’t give up- not unless…”
“Unless…” Brainy echoed, his throat closing up before he could say anything else. His vision was already spiralling. Vertigo swept over him as he drank in every implication of Lena’s unfinished sentence.
“Unless what?” Alex demanded.
“What’s going on?” Nia asked.
Even with everyone thinking the same question, Brainy couldn’t bring himself to say the answer out loud. Instead, he watched abjectly as the symbol of El Mayarah extinguished from the screen, taking with it the inkling of hope he had been holding onto from the moment Kara had been lost to the Phantom Zone portal.
He shook his head, driving his hands back over the controls. “No,” he said forcefully. “It could be a false reading, we should- we should keep going.” His eyes cut across the co-ordinates the screen was displaying in the absence of Supergirl’s insignia - the last known location of Kara Zor-El.
They were close, so close that the Phantom’s Q-waves weren’t necessary to put together the unaccounted distance. The ship was already scanning the area below, picking up on signs of life… signs of…
Of a body. Humanoid. Kryptonian.
With an internal temperature of…
No.
“She’s…”
Brainy’s chest stuttered, catching harshly as the beacon of light that had paved the path for his whole life suddenly went out.
“I can drop the sun bomb,” Lena said frantically, her voice barely passing through the static ringing loudly in his ears. “Maybe that’ll give her the strength she needs to…”
But, Brainy could only stare at the screen. Kara’s internal body temperature wasn’t just low… it was ice cold. And, as the ship’s calculations manifested for everyone to see, something inside of Brainy’s chest caved in on itself.
Kara wasn’t just dead. She’d been dead for… for…
For weeks.
Brainy couldn’t breathe.
He’d been using Kara’s inspiration, her passion and her optimism even in the darkest tunnels as his anchor. All this time. He’d used hope, her hope in an effort to bring her home unscathed. Because no other option would have sufficed; she had to be okay.
Because, if she was gone… then he was surely the cause.
If not for him, she would have never ended up in the Phantom Zone to begin with. If he hadn’t bottled Leviathan, if he hadn’t lied to them all, none of this would be happening.
Brainy’s vision blurred, washing away the readings as tears flooded to the surface. All of this… all of this had been for nought. All those weeks they had spent hoping, and for what? For what?
There had never been a reason to hope at all. They had been kidding themselves, all of them, to assume Kara would have survived entry into the Phantom Zone. That she hadn’t been cast there from a portal miles in the sky, falling at terminal velocity, unable to fly to safety. With no yellow sun, she had been without power, without protection. Something as simple as a broken bone would have been a death sentence in a hellscape like the Phantom Zone.
Brainy’s lips were numb. A crushing weight felt as though it was overpowering his lungs, sucking the air from within. His head throbbed with sudden pressure, a motley of untameable thoughts clawing viciously for freedom.
Something burned deep inside his chest, a pain so profound that he thought he was going to be sick. Was this what heartbreak felt like…? As though your heart was actually breaking? Snapping in two with the fragility of glass?
Brainy gasped out, clawing at his centre as he finally managed to rake in a single breath. It felt like swallowing a mouthful of razor blades, tearing at his innards as it sought passage through his lungs.
The pressure in his head mounted even further, clamouring loudly in his ears. His tears felt like acid in his eyes, but he couldn’t make them fall. Instead, he remained blind to the world. Blind to everything.
And yet, something still pressed him far at the back of his mind.
A tiny voice whispering that it couldn’t be real. It couldn’t be real.
…Was it?
Was it real?
Where was his focus? Brainy struggled through another breath, trying desperately to blink away his tears. The pain ate at him, so poignant he could barely function, but he was meant to… to focus, yes? That had been the point. To… to compartmentalise. To…
To focus on what was real.
But it felt real. The despondency that welled inside his chest, the fire in his head, scorching him every time he imagined Kara, lifeless and alone on the cold terrain below. He felt it, all of it, and he couldn’t bear it.
“Why should you have to?”
Brainy’s head jerked up instinctively, glancing about himself as he sniffed hard, turning in his chair.
His friends were no longer present, but he was not alone.
Humanoid forms took residency at the centre of the ship’s control room. They stood stolidly, arms clasped in front of them, heads bowed low.
Among the static shapes, whispers began to permeate.
Brainy blinked quickly, wiping at his face as he forced himself from his chair, grabbing its back when his legs threatened to buckle. He weighed himself against it, heart thundering in his head, but it was not enough to drown out the voices suddenly invading his mind, breaking free from the boxes he’d built a long time ago.
They shouldn’t be… they couldn’t…
“Excessive emotional turmoil,” the same voice as before said, dripping with fake pity. “It’s truly remarkable what it can set loose.”
Brainy felt ill. “No. No, you can’t—you can’t!” His voice rang out around him, falling on deaf ears.
The voices only seemed to revel in his anguish. Brainy groaned out, clenching his hands around his head, curling in on himself as the whispers intensified.
He caught words within the ocean of sound, enticing murmurs, urging him to come forward, to step into the space still reserved for him. Even after all this time.
Alongside the insistent encouragement of his peers, the shapes in front of him began to take form. Some were green, most of them were green, but one stood out amongst the crowd. A blue skinned woman with red hair grinned wickedly at him, raising her hand in a partial salute.
Indigo?
Brainy’s eyes glanced desperately at the Coluans stood before him.
His blood, stretching back generations. His clan.
His ancestral memory come to life.
A strangled sound caught in Brainy’s throat as their voices pitched inside his mind. He couldn’t- he couldn’t pack them away. No box could patch the hole that had torn through his internal storage. His emotions were frenzied, wild and chaotic and he was… he could not tame them.
“What’s the matter, Querl?” Indigo asked playfully. “Cat got your tongue?”
Brainy shuddered involuntarily when he saw the claws that manifested along Indigo’s fingers. She grinned, snapping them aggressively towards him.
“That’s enough.”
Brainy already felt so drained, the new voice was nearly too much for him to bear. It was only a small comfort that the other whispers stilled at its presence, petering out to an almost manageable hum.
With everything so muddled already, Brainy hadn’t recognised her at first. He chastised himself immediately. How foolish of him not to assume that she would be here, somehow. The voice of reason that he had clung onto for so long, that he had followed blindly and passionately, because he’d believed that if he did… she might one day love him.
But, her eyes were just as cold as they always had been.
Brainiac 4 materialised at the centre of the room, batting Indigo aside as though she were nothing but a child. Indigo’s image shimmered as a result, but Brainy hardly paid it mind. The only person he could focus his energy on was the most dangerous in the room.
A woman he had once called mother.
He didn’t want to say that word again, and yet with all the hopelessness inside his heart, the emptiness that threatened to swallow him whole, he couldn’t help but cling to the image of Brainiac 4 as she walked towards him, reaching out her hand.
When her cold fingers brushed across his cheek, Brainy’s lips trembled, and the tears in his eyes finally began to fall.
Brainiac 4 reviewed his reaction inquisitively, her brow raised in question. “My boy,” she said, tucking her hand beneath his chin, enough to tip his watery gaze towards hers. “Why don’t you give up on these silly little pretences? Doesn’t it hurt to hold onto all of this pain?”
Join us.
The whisper that broke through what little resolve he had left sounded far more like Indigo’s than any other. It thrilled through his nerves, whispering scintillating invitations into his mind.
Brainy flinched from his mother’s hand, fingers clenching tightly against his palms.
She was right. It did hurt. Every fibre of his being ached with it. He wanted to let it out, wanted to discard it as Lena had taught him. Throw every feeling out into the open with a vicious cry. He wanted to collapse into a ball and never, ever come out.
But, he could do none of those things. Instead, he had to live with the guilt that ate into his heart, the heartbreak that would surely never heal. He had to stand there knowing what he had done, what he was responsible for.
That he would never, ever see her smile again.
The death of the future as he knew it. The death of Supergirl.
His family.
Brainy stirred at that thought. After all, who were his family?
He tore his gaze from his mother’s, long enough to turn about the room, seeking out the spaces that had been left blank. He hardly remembered who had been stood there before his ancestors had actualised. If he focused hard enough, he thought, perhaps, he could see echoes of people occupying that same space, but he saw no faces. Remembered no names.
Not real.
He couldn’t see them, and if he couldn’t see them then he most certainly could not touch them. Could not hear or smell them.
That decided it, then. It was simple, nearly too simple.
Whoever had existed before - they had been the lies. Echoes of another life, one that had never meant to be his. After all, his ancestors reached far beyond the five senses. They were an innate part of his very makeup as a Coluan. As a Brainiac.
And they had always been real.
Brainy’s chest spasmed as a sob nearly wracked him, more tears welling in his eyes. And… and he didn’t want to feel this way. It was nonsensical, to dwell on dreams, on nightmares. They only sought to make him weak. And a Brainiac was never weak.
His mother’s hands were solid when they took his shoulders, leaching the heat from his skin.
Her lips quirked with satisfaction. “You see it, don’t you? This simulation you have created for yourself is a destined failure. It is time to put your uninhibited mind to good use.” Her nails bit sharply into his flesh. “Join us. As you were destined to.”
Brainy nodded mutely. After all, why should he feel pain? What was the use of this frivolous emotion? What was the point in any of the good if it only meant feeling all this bad?
It would only weigh him down, which would not do. Indeed, he had a legacy to uphold.
Brainy’s eyes fluttered shut, finally letting the last of his mental barriers slip away with one long, cleansing exhale. The voices wasted no time, rushing in like an aggressive wave, swallowing him whole in seconds.
When Brainy opened his eyes, he felt no pain. No heartbreak.
Instead, he absconded from the needless weight of his emotional baggage, stepping forward into his mother’s waiting arms.

Starlink Customer Service Number: Facts ☜:
When requested in regards to the "thought course of" behind Starlink and the shift from being an orbital launch providers supplier to an web operator, she outlined that the service's connection to a $1 trillion TAM for world broadband was one in every of the first causes behind the change, because it allowed SpaceX to fund its lengthy-time period aim of interplanetary human spaceflight. There is no such thing as a terrestrial service the place I'm situated, and the one supplier is through the cellular community whose velocity and reliability are each horrible. Instead, the enterprise gives a generic assist webpage that features an inventory of generally requested questions concerning the service and related difficulties. If you would like to assist fund long run Mars improvement packages, you need to enter markets and sectors which might be a lot greater than the one you are in, particularly if there's sufficient connective tissue between that large market, and what you are doing now. We are able to do work in town, however you cannot put sufficient bandwidth down in a metropolis to cowl any kind of share of customers in that cell. Spacex is growing a low latency, broadband web system to fulfill the wants of customers throughout the globe.

But, Starlink satellites fly over each a part of the globe day by day, so it is no dearer to serve somebody in a rural neighborhood than it's to serve somebody in a metropolis. When you've got bother organising your terminal, don’t count on to get somebody over at starlink on the telephone to child step you thru it. Did we get it proper, or is there higher? The community has to get higher day by day. Starlink stated they'd get the kits in mid or late 2021, however. I'm very technical, and needs to be the right buyer for Starlink. Providing high quality work and customer support that exceeds expectations is our primary precedence and can outline our firm tradition. As well as, reviews from trade analysts counsel that the corporate subsidizes these terminals to encourage market adoption for the service. The Starlink service might need grown at a sooner price if it wasn’t for the chip scarcity at the moment impacting the tech business. While its major objective is to serve places with out web connectivity or with poor service, anybody in a rising variety of nations - 25 so far - can join the service.
Ooma clients who flip their eyes to the sky and join the brand new starlink satellite tv for pc web service, an providing from elon musk’s spacex rocket enterprise, can relaxation assured that ooma telo dwelling cellphone service is starlink appropriate. Space Exploration Technologies Corp.'s (SpaceX) president and Chief Operating Officer (COO), Ms. Gwynne Shotwell, has outlined that the full addressable market (TAM) for her firm's Starlink satellite tv for pc-primarily based web service is $1 trillion. Now, once i say low latency, that is in comparison with conventional satellite tv for pc web corporations in addition to lots of the opposite rural broadband choices. The govt's feedback got here throughout an interview she gave to Via Satellite earlier this 12 months and printed in May. It added that it was making ready the launch of a brand new Starlink equipment designed for prime-quantity manufacturing that may begin delivery this 12 months. It added that it was making ready the launch of a brand new Starlink equipment designed for prime-quantity manufacturing that may begin delivery this 12 months. The variety of satellites signifies that Starlink can have a better buyer capability and fewer service outages resulting from no satellite tv for pc overhead.
The web service is presently in beta-testing, with the restricted variety of satellites in orbit and early-stage customers offering SpaceX with a platform to finetune its companies. Starlink is the world's largest satellite tv for pc constellation, and SpaceX is aggressively deploying spacecraft for bringing web connectivity throughout the rural United States and the world. Via Satellite additionally requested the SpaceX govt about a possible preliminary public providing (IPO) for the corporate or Starlink. Only possession and govt administration have modified. The house owners of StarLink Construction Utilities have over one hundred years of collective expertise in Business administration. The house owners of StarLink Construction Utilities have over one hundred years of collective expertise in Business administration. But we have obtained a crew that's so devoted to offering an excellent expertise. As new possession and administration, we're dedicated to offering a wonderful product to all clients and companions transferring ahead. What this implies is that Starlink and SpaceX's funds are separate from one another, and primarily based on accounting ideas, SpaceX solely has to acknowledge both a revenue or loss from its web arm. SpaceX could have misplaced a bunch of its Starlink web satellites final week, nevertheless it appears to be like to have discovered 150,000 new Starlink prospects in latest months.

The Game Awards is tonight! While I’m not expecting to see the sequel to Breath of the Wild, like everyone is expecting (my money is on Metroid Prime 4), this could be my last chance to list the things I want before an official title drop. Warning: this is a very long, rambling post.
In an interview, Bill Trinen suggested that the game’s title could give away plot/mechanical details that they’re not ready to reveal, so we’ll only get the title at the end of a trailer properly showcasing whatever this is. Nintendo really likes surprises... like, remember how the original Super Mario Odyssey trailer had Cappy edited out of all of the scenes it showed, so they could do a reveal of him at the end, and they didn’t even show the capturing mechanic until six months later?
So! What’s this spoiler-y title? I doubt it has anything to do with Ganon, and we already know that Link has some kind of Sheikah cyborg magitech on his arm. As I see it, the title could refer to three mechanics: the reason he has the arm, him being separated from Zelda, or time travel.
In the teaser trailer, the order of events is a little chopped up, Mummy Ganon is reacting to Link and Zelda’s presence, and his malice causes the ground to split open. It’s hard to tell exactly what happens from the shots shown, but it looks like Zelda almost falls in, and barely hanging on to the edge, and reaches for Lin’s hand. He tries to pull her up, but another tremor/split in the ground causes them both to fall in. The magic hand sealing Ganon lets him go and grabs Link. There’s a strong emphasis on hands in this trailer, every character’s hands are featured prominently,  so it’s reasonable that it’s an important aspect of the game. In the second trailer, you see a shot of Link’s arm engulfed in malice. Later, that same hand, blackened and with long fingernails, is wearing the magitech bracer from the hand that was sealing Ganon, swirling with that same blue-green energy. It was obvious from the first trailer that the hand would be the new Sheikah Slate, but the reason for it seems to be to heal Link’s arm.
Finally, that brings me to the possible title: is the arm preventing some kind of corruption from spreading across Link’s body, Princess Mononoke-style? In my opinion, this wouldn’t make for a very interesting title, and I think there are much stronger elements at play both mechanically and plot-wise. I do think that the hand can and should be referenced in the title, but more on that in a bit.
The next possible title is Link’s separation from Zelda. Assuming nothing significant changed in the sequence of events between the two trailers, it looks like the hand that saves Link failed to save Zelda, because she’s seen plummeting into the void. Now, there’s absolutely no reason for anything to be down there other than death. I really doubt there’s, like, a conveniently-placed portal down there. It’s possible that Zelda was able to activate her spiritual powers and not hit the bottom at terminal velocity, but with how dark the trailers are and how her falling into the void is depicted, I think that’s meant to be an Actually Fatal fall. I’ll explain why they would kill Zelda in the next point, but for now, let’s pretend that she survives.
Something a lot of people picked up on in the original trailer was the big pack animal loaded with supplies that Link and Zelda have with them as they explore the dungeon. Nintendo’s been known to hide mechanics in plain sight, and to listen to fan feedback: in the very first BotW teaser, Link is chased by a Guardian, and vaults off his horse to fire an arrow at it. Bullet time (from vaulting off your horse or otherwise) turned out to be a pretty big mechanic in the game, and at that point in development, Guardians weren’t even part of the plot. Ocarina of Time was originally meant to have giant Octoroks roaming around, but getting the animation to look right as they walked over varied terrain was too difficult at the time; they decided to replace them with giant Peahats, enemies that fly. They ended up having standard Octoroks as water-bound enemies that never move, and a giant one as a mini-boss in a room with a flat floor. The Guardian in the first trailer was meant to be a return to this concept, an all terrain giant octopus-like monster and nothing more than a normal enemy out in the world, but the reception to it was so positive that Nintendo decided to give it an expanded role.
That was a VERY long tangent, but what I’m trying to say is, Nintendo knows people want playable Zelda. Similar to horse-vaulting and the Guardian, the pack animal and Zelda could be hinting at gameplay mechanics and Nintendo listening to fans. At the end of BotW, Zelda has the Sheikah Slate, and since Link now has the arm thing, doesn’t need it. This could easily mean that throughout the game, you’re able to play as both Link and Zelda. I don’t know how they could make it work, but... I mean, BotW is about Link fighting robots, removing the corrupting influence from giant mechs, and taking on a cyborg Ganon. Link gets a light saber chainsaw sword and a motorcycle. If Nintendo can do that and still make it feel like a fantasy game, still make it feel like Zelda, I’m sure they can make anything work. That said, again, I think the trailer shows Zelda falling to her doom, for reasons I’ll get into momentarily.
The final possible source of a title, as I see it, is something there’s almost no evidence for... but I’m so blinded by my love for it, I WILL grasp at those straws. I am, of course, talking about time travel. There are a number of reasons it’s plausible. After seeing the first trailer, my ideas for the hand’s abilities were pretty limited. A hookshot is an obvious one, something that’s always great in 3D Zelda, and would’ve been particularly great in BotW. Other ideas included a hammer hand, a helicopter hand, just kinda using it as a torch... I even suggested the idea of stopping time. As it turns out, both of the abilities we saw in the second trailer involve reversing time. One appears to send moving objects backwards in time along the path they followed, while the other allows him to... I guess shoot up into the air and climb through solid stone, which I assume is a contextual thing you can only do in specific areas to reach the skylands™. The trailer seems to depict a drop of glowy energy water moving in reverse, which could just be how they chose to animate this ability... but combined with the other ability and a few other things, that gives me An Idea.
So! Zelda falls, presumably to her death, and Ganon’s malice pours out. How do you undo something like this? Well... you just undo it. Yep, that’s my big idea for the plot of this game: you’re on a mission to strengthen your time manipulation abilities, so that you can literally undo Ganon being freed and save Zelda. It fits with the weird reversed music in the first trailer... and I honestly think time travel might be the only way to keep the game world interesting. Nintendo’s made it clear that the game is going to be set on the same map as BotW, and while the skylands™ are interesting... assuming this is set a year or less after the last game, not that much will have changed. Know how you can keep the same geography, but all new locations and characters? Time travel, baby! My theory is that, for whatever reason, Link is sent back in time ten thousand years, and we only ever see him in his own time at the start and end of the game. Like, freeing Ganon is 100% the instigating incident, and that dungeon (presumably below Hyrule Castle) makes more sense as a tutorial area than it does only existing in cutscenes.
It’s possible that you could travel between the two time periods, Oracle of Ages-style, but I don’t see how that would work with an established world and such a large span between the two times. No, I’m getting that you spend the whole game in the past, meeting new characters and seeing how the world came to be how it is in BotW. Wasn’t Dueling Peaks a single mountain until a dragon split it in half? What’s that perfectly circular hole in Hebra Peak? Will we see the Leviathans alive, or the Zonai? There’s so much to work with!
There’s also the matter of the events depicted on the tapestry you see explaining BotW’s backstory. It’s highly stylized, but the Guardians and Divine Beasts are portrayed pretty accurately, so we have to take it at face value, right? The four champions piloting the Divine Beasts decidedly do not include a Zora or Goron, and while the spirit maiden definitely appears to be a Zelda... the hero really doesn’t look like Link. He’s probably wielding the Master Sword, it’s too stylized to say for sure... but the guy himself definitely doesn’t look like any incarnation of Link we’ve ever seen. A large nose, darker skin, a mane of long red hair... honestly, it looks more like Ganondorf or Groose.
Which brings me to my concept for the game: ten thousand years ago, there was no hero, just a Princess Zelda and someone doing their best to fill the hero role, who probably wouldn’t be called Groose but I’m calling Groose anyway. I don’t know how Link gets to the past, but he ends up being the one who seals Ganondorf away, and Groose, who’s been bumbling about the entire time, gets the credit for it. The tapestry shows Zelda and the hero fighting a giant pig made of smoke (I’m guessing malice), which is how Calamity Ganon appeared over Hyrule Castle in BotW. Maybe while Link is down in the dungeon, having his standoff with Ganondorf and ultimately using his spirit hand to seal him away, Groose and the rest are fighting the calamity up top, which is how he gets credited.
Ever since I saw the teaser trailer, with all that focus on hands, I thought that the title would incorporate that somehow. It’s been two and a half years, and the only good word I’ve been able to come up with is “reach”. So, my proposed title is...
The Legend of Zelda: Reach Through the Ages
Now, onto other things I’d like to see in the game.
First up is actual dungeons, and actual dungeon items. While I love BotW, some of its elements could be improved upon. Like, Nintendo looked at what was popular, and incorporated it... including Portal’s test rooms for the shrines. These were fine, but I want more than just puzzles, I want interesting locations. I also want actually useful items, things on par with the runes in BotW. The Spinner in Twilight Princess was fun, but outside of Arbiter’s Grounds, you use it, what. Three times? The dungeon items don’t have to be physical things, they can be abilities for the arm, but I want them to be used for clever puzzles in full-sized dungeons, and then have plenty of use both in combat, exploration, and puzzle-solving throughout the rest of the game.
I want to see a bunch of old enemies return. Almost all of the enemies in BotW are bipedal, which is boring. Sure, I’m okay with adding more bipedal enemies, I’d love to see Goriyas return... but I also want Leevers, I want Peahats, I want Tektites and Bari and Helmasaurs and Wallmasters. What about Deku Babas, or those plants from ALttP that had teeth and legs... Snap Dragons, they’re apparently called. Know what I would absolutely love to see? The return of some old bosses! It would be amazing to fight an Aquamentus as a random overworld boss. Ever since I saw the second trailer, I’ve thought that weird worm thing hanging from the ceiling that Link fights with a fire-breathing shield could be a Like Like, and I recently saw a video pointing out that the green stone creature, which I parsed as a friendly one-eyed snake, was likely an Eyegore. Which I can absolutely see now.
More interesting equipment effects would be cool, maybe more minor effects that you don’t need a full set for. I’m a big fan of the rings from the Oracle games, and think it would be cool if you could equip a magic ring or two. Imagine an invisibility ring that runs on stamina and then starts to drain health, like the Phantom Cloak from Metroid Dread, or one that changes your size, or one that lets you talk to animals!
Speaking of equipment, I want more stuff like the DLC items. Not including the Bunny Hood was a serious missed opportunity... Maybe it would allow you to sprint slightly faster than normal, and also deplete the stamina bar more slowly? I don’t know what other things like that they could include, and if they had hats or whatever from other Nintendo properties I’d prefer they be as DLC... but hey, the more the merrier!
Weapon repair is a MUST. I didn’t really mind weapons and shields breaking in BotW... that is, until I learned that there’s a finite number of the Kite Shield, my favorite item in the game. Ideally, the game would have a full-blown crafting system, where you can craft and upgrade your own items at the appropriate facilities, and can repair them just wherever, so long as you have the right materials. I’d really love it if you could craft very customized items, allowing you to like, mix and match sword blades and hilts, modify the color, name them... but that’s definitely me asking too much. I can always dream, though.
It’d be nice to have a companion character again. In most games, your companion’s stayed hidden for whatever reason... Navi, Tatl, Ezlo, Midna, Ciela, Zelda’s ghost, Fi... for the most part, they only ever talk to you, with minimal interaction with other characters. It would be nice if you had a companion, and they actually join conversations with NPCs. Maybe the spirit hand somehow communicates to Link that to save Zelda, he’ll need to find a fairy to help him. I dunno, as much as I enjoy exploring a vast, unrestricted world, it just gets lonely sometimes, y’know? How about a bird? Can the companion be a little bird?
A very easy way to expand the world without changing what’s already there would be to allow Link to diver underwater. There’s a lot of water in this world, and a few places that would easily be modified a bit to include more... we’re talking ten thousand years difference, they can change a lot of things. Zora armor that allows you to swim freely, please.
I’d like to see some old characters and races return. Why? Why not! At one point in BotW’s development, they planned for there to be Kokiri, which I would love to see! They also played with the idea of a miniature town that you’d have to shrink down to enter, Minish Cap-style. That’s so cool! I want that!
Finally, I just want cool locations in general. BotW made use of some cool real-world things like baobab and dragon’s blood trees, but then there were also high fantasy things like the massive underwater flowers in Skull Lake. I’d love to see some more cool, memorable things that I haven’t seen in every other fantasy video game.
Alright, I need to go walk my dog and get a tattoo, but y’know what? I changed my mind! When I get back tonight I fully expect to see all these things at The Game Awards! You hear me, Geoff Keighley??

«Che hai, LaLaurie? Allergico alle femmine?»
Chiede con naturalezza, visti i suoi modi di non accennare a sedersi, o almeno non lì. Strano? Sicuramente no, ma ogni scusa è buona.
Quante vuoi, a istinto.»

E siamo arrivati all’ultima carta.
