Amaryllis’ heat passed with Mountain, Swiss and Dew helping. She was thankful for the three of them and promised to make them their favorite desserts. It was a rough two weeks on the ghoulette. Today she was with the girls redoing their hair colors. Mist had also joined them as they were outside. The former bassist was lazing on a rock and soaking up the sun as they watched Amaryllis concentrate on coloring Cumulus’ hair a bright pink for the spring. Cirrus would be doing an emerald green and Sunshine wanted orange and red.

“Amaryllis? Do you think you could … squeeze me in for a hair color?” Mist asked. Amaryllis smiled and nodded.

“Course! What color are you thinking of?” Amaryllis asked as she finished Cumulus’ hair. Amaryllis set changed her gloves and got started on Cirrus’ hair as she waited for Mist to decide.

“I’d like red and blue please Darling.” Mist answered.

“Got it. Can do that, Babygirl.” Amaryllis replied. Mist let out a pleased chirp and settled back on the warm rock she was on. Amaryllis soon finished with Cirrus and started on Sunshine’s hair when their girl time was interrupted by Omega and Alpha. They had returned from helping Terzo at another Abbey and wanted to see everyone as soon as possible.

“Oh Mega! Look at our darling Amaryllis. Busy as a bee that one is.” Alpha teased, nudging his partner. Omega nodded. Amaryllis rolled her eyes playfully at the larger ghouls that were basically her dads.

“Can I help you two old men?” Amaryllis asked as she finished Sunshine’s hair. The two larger ghouls smirked before Omega scooped up the smaller ghoulette up into his arms earning a squeal from the blue haired ghoulette.

“Dad!! Set me down!” She laughed and squirmed in Omega’s hold. The quint ghoul laughed and squeezed her a bit tighter, nuzzling her cheek and neck.

“Never! I’ve missed my daughter.” Omega dramatically exclaimed. He did finally set her down, nuzzling her cheek once more before moving out of the way for Alpha to basically do the same thing.

“Alpha and I also brought presents for everyone so once you girls are done, just come back over to the old ghoul wing.” Omega stated. The girls chittered and chirped happily and made promises to go visit after hair day was done. Amaryllis stood on their tip toes to give their adoptive dads a kiss on the cheek once more and started on doing Mists’ hair. Afterwards, once everyone's hair was done and washed they made their way to the old wing. Cowbell, Ifrit and Zephyr were sitting around the dining room table playing monopoly. Alpha and Omega perked up when they heard the girls and brought out gifts from their travels. For Cumulus, she got new cross stitching items, Cirrus got a vintage camera, Sunshine a glass blowing kit. Mist was given some new sketch books and paints. And for their darling Amaryllis they have gifted her some knitting tools and some jewelry making. Amaryllis threw her arms around Alpha and Omega’s necks and hugged them tightly.

“Thank you Dads!” She exclaimed. Alpha and Omega smiled. Each ghoulette also hugged the two larger ghouls. It wasn’t often that Alpha and Omega left the Ministry so when they did they always made it a big thing; having been around for a long time. They were here for each and every one of Terzo and Copia’s summonings of Ghouls. Amaryllis was summoned by Secondo and Terzo, one of their youngest summons in a long time. Alpha and Omega took Amaryllis under their wings and basically adopted Amaryllis as their daughter. After the gift giving they joined Cowbell, Ifrit and Zephyr in playing Monopoly. Amaryllis almost set the game on fire since she claimed Alpha was cheated, and Mist ended up zapping her with electricity to make sure Amaryllis didn’t do that. Cowbell cackled at the trio, while Zephyr and Ifrit both facepalmed. After the long game they ate dinner and settled in the living room to watch a movie. Amaryllis ended up falling asleep curled against Cirrus and Mist when Mountain came looking for Amaryllis.

“Hey big guy, your little lady is melded to Mist and I. I dont think you’re getting her back.” Cirrus joked.

“That’s alright darlin’ she deserves Cirri and Mist cuddles.” Mountain teased, settling down next to Cumulus and Sunshine. They chattered about until Amaryllis semi woke up and saw Mountain. Chittering happily Amaryllis detached herself from Cirrus and Mist and crawled onto Mountain’s lap. Later, Mountain picked her up and went to carry her to his room when Alpha stopped him.

“Keep taking good care of her Mount. Or else.” Alpha whispered. Mountain nodded, gulping a little.

“Message loud and clear Boss.” Mountain stated. Alpha preened and opened the door. Mountain settled Amaryllis on his bed and slid in next to her. Tomorrow Mountain had a plan to take Amaryllis out on a date.

This is such a great idea @ghuleh-recs thank you so much tagging me in yours and saying such lovely things about Banchetto!

I must say this is by no means an exhaustive list of the writers I admire but on digging through my tags and my AO3 bookmarks these are the ones that had my giggling and kicking my feet all over again

And this is getting really long so I'm am going to try to limit myself to one fic per amazing person 💜 haha I failed so hard at that you are all too talented.

@ghostchems I actually gobble up everything chems writes like a greedy little gremlin and I love her OCs as much as I love the Papas. But as I recently admitted I have been fangirling about her since before I was lucky enough to be her friend so Black Light Guides You is my go to for many reasons. It's got the signature horny/horror Chems blend as well as our boy getting resurrected and taking back his rightful position. I love how Terzo and Marion's relationship develops and I am so excited about where they are headed in the ongoing sequel A Perpetual Rise. And then Burn with me!!!! I came for Dracopia and stayed for Mia.

@ramblingoak The Queen of AUs if you want a Papa in any kind of situation Oak is the person you need. If I start talking about The Cardinal's Bride I will actually never shut up and Oak suffers enough word vomit about it from me so I will stop there. But I will say Oak is an incredible all rounder. Every thing she writes it is great and there is something fantastic for everyone. Sexy Cardinals, Mary Goore, Vibrating Pants, Ghaseball, Rat Birthday Parties or Zombies have at it!!

@the-hole-in-terzos-shoe No matter what the scenario Shoe writes the most romantic, charming Terzo you will ever read. I was going to rec the incredible My Dirty Little Secret and Let's get these heels off... which was inspired by our mutual love of Vita deVoid's Terzo but then she dropped Intro to Romantic Literature yesterday and I haven't been able to stop thinking about Professor Terzo so just go read both.

@sucharide If you want to read about some of the darkest depravity written in the most beautiful poetic way you could ever imagine then Roach is the writer for you and A Problem of Mind and Body is the perfect example. But my personal favourite and the first I read I think is Ritual and Ruination a silly and sexy look at the consequences of rituals gone wrong. And who am I kidding I can't not put Poor Beast in the Catacombs on here.

@zombiequeenblog I tell everyone who will listen to me about Cardinal Copia: A Sadistic and Glorious Bastard. It was my first Dark Copia fic and still to this day my favourite Copia characterisation. He is such a well rounded full character in this and I can't get enough. It's hot, it's emotional, it's scary at times but I can count on my hand how many couples I am as invested in and these two are at the top of my list. The world building is incredible, this version of The Abbey is so vibrant and all the side characters are so fleshed out. I have an especially large soft spot for Terzo in this fic he is the perfect dramatic flirt and I would give anything to be one of his girls.

@honeyynymphh Reading anything by Missy is like reading a gothic horror classic. The way she builds atmosphere is second to none a little nightmarish, a little maudlin (good golly go get this kid some laudanum!) is such a great example. And another one of my favourite Copia characterizations especially in The Mark of the Beast, Freshly Squeezed and my personal favourite there’s total depravity (standing right in front of me) he is so mean and I love it so much.

@kissingghouls SUCK CLUB!! I can't possibly decide which one of these is my favourite. I love this whole universe. There is so much going on and I can't wait to get to the bottom of the ongoing vampire mystery. I love how they all interact and I love that the all read The Cardinal's Bride! The Count, The King, and The Prince and I just love them all!

@xfilesinamajor With Wandering Steps and Slow This Terzo!!! This one right here is my favourite, god this fic breaks my heart but it is so so so perfect. His self esteem, his natural charm as a defense mechanism god I am obsessed with it. Also The Peach is one of the hottest ghost fics I have ever read. The ghoullettes really need to get more action, especially if it's like this

@writingjourney Everything Ibi writes is just so perfect. The slow burn of Honey and Venom and Unprecedented have me on the edge of my seat. But I have to especially urge everyone to read Friday Nights at the Cinema Club because if you aren't a Primo fan you are wrong and this will show you exactly why. Like I said, perfect!

@sweatandwoe I am always impressed with the ideas that sweaty comes up with. Really fun and original and hot. These assorted drabbles and headcanons are an excellent place to start. Study Break is so incredibly hot and The Sacrifice was a real highlight from petrifying papas. I also can't rec sweaty without mentioning the Saren fics because WOW. If you have any interest in Mass Effect and Turians then you have to read Overflow and Melting Point

@inkstainedrat Lacrimis et Memorias This fic broke my heart and put it back together again. It is the definition of bittersweet and yeah. I have a lot of feelings about Terzo and this story pokes every single one of them and is another one that stays with me.

@violet-lazer Another one of my favourite Terzo writers, in Pride, Incumbent and Astronomy he is so charming and lovely. Also Terms of Engagement Copia is such a cutie

@whatawonderfulexistence--blog Distractions is a lovely first date with Terzo and then Strawberries because i do love when he is being all seductive. Also I'm not fully caught up with Powerwolf yet but Atone was so HOT

@hallowed-be-thy-username Kissing the Obscene was the Terzo fic I ever read and Please Papa was the second and I just keep going back to them. I had started to fall in love with Terzo already but reading these and all the others really sealed the deal. And also coincidentally one of my favourite papa cosplayers!!

It often feels like I've read about half of the 10K Ghost fanfics currently on Ao3...I'm going to share five that I read and loved each month, and I'll try to include a WIP, an older work and one by a newer writer. Let me know what made your list? :)

Essence of Quinn by @sisterprocrastinator. Nepotism alert in that I am friends with this amazing writer but I "met" her through her writing and I couldn't *not* include this beautiful piece of world-building. Quinn is a Quintessence ghoul plagued by visions, summoned by the Clergy to work under Secondo. We're currently in a point of the plot that runs alongside her Nameless Ghoul. Yes, I absolutely just snuck a sixth work in there ;) (Longer work with dark, twisty plot and wholesome smut.)

Good Boy by @copiaslut666. See above re nepotism and writing! ;) A EoQ spin-off one shot where one of the OCs brings Cardinal Copia to heel. (Glorious smut from a newer writer.)

Pro Memoria by Allbeautylieswithinyou. An intriguing love triangle between Secondo, Terzo and an OC with a past full of secrets. I have so many theories about how this one is going to unfold, the anticipation is just delicious! (Also a newer writer)

You Wanna Play with the Sire? by chaircat / @highwarlockofphilly. I am absolutely in love with this vampire reimagining of the lore. Copia has grown up in the church but has been fascinated by 'monsters' for his whole life. Enter Terzo. (Hot and heartwarming at the same time.)

Carpe Corpus by Ephemeralgrime / @ratballet A hilarious but also hot one-shot that brings a younger Terzo and Copia together to correct a ritual gone wrong. (Older work - from Nov 2023)

Don’t you worry.” Mountain promised and buried his head between Amaryllis’ legs, the blue haired ghoulette gasping and arching as Mountain rumbled and ate her out. They both moaned, Amaryllis slightly whining as Mountain lightly nibbled on her clit before moving to lick into her once more. Mountain couldn’t help but love the taste of his lover.

“Mount.. M’close… Need you to fuck me.” Amaryllis chittered and tugged on the earth ghouls red and blonde streaked hair.

Mountain let out a low chuff, nipping on her inner thigh.

“Alright. That can be arranged Princess.” Mountain said. He gently reached over to grab his phone from the nightstand and sent off a text to Swiss and Dew. Mountain didn’t wait for a reply, opting to set his phone by the pillows as he wrapped his arm around Amaryllis and pressed gentle kisses all over their face before kissing them on the lips, his tail intertwining with theirs as he whispered praises to them.

Soon Swiss and Dew brought them food, both playfully teasing the pair while Amaryllis settled in between Mountain’s legs. Neither Swiss or Dew minded that both were naked anyways.

“Need help with Amary? We know how insatiable they can be during their heats.” Dewdrop teased, his tail wrapping around Amaryllis’ ankle. She rolled her eyes and threw a pillow at him while Mountain laughed.

“I don’t make the rules Firelily. It's up to Amary if they want you two to stay.” Mountain responded. Dewdrop and Swiss started begging to stay, both nuzzling Amaryllis’ neck and cheek.

“You two can stay if you don’t annoy me. Now get undressed, your clothes are itchy against my skin and I want cuddles.” Amaryllis huffed.

“Yes ma’am.” Both Swiss and Dew chirped out and shed their clothes. They all adjusted themselves on the bed, Amaryllis in the middle, laying against Mountain’s chest while Dew was on her left side and Swiss was on her right side.

“Could get Rainy in here too. He would be able to cool you off. You’re warm.” Dewdrop stated as he rubbed her stomach.

“Mmmmph.. Later maybe…. You three are enough for now.” Amaryllis replied. Swiss had moved down to rub her legs while Mountain set to work rubbing her neck and shoulders and arms.

“Thank you for doing this by the way.. Feels nice.” Amaryllis whispered, running one hand in Dew’s pale blue hair and the other in Swiss’ short curls.

“Course Petal. We know how rough and exhausting heats can be. You’re in good hands. Promise.” Swiss purred out as she scratched against his horns.

They continued to pass the evening in cuddles and in heated passion until they all managed to fall asleep.
