I think we should disembowel the mouse and leave its remains for seagulls to peck at but even though we can blame disney for most of the major plot points that end up unresolved/resolved badly by the end of the owl house i dont want fans to view the show as. Immune to genuine good faith criticism? Like the show has an amazing story and characters and it made great strides in representation. But its not a perfect show and has had problems in all three aspects even before it got canceled.

Idk if they would have fixed some of the problems had they had a full season 3 but despite speculation on what could have been the shortened season 3 is what we got. So i think while people should give the show and creators more leeway that doesnt make the final product immune to genuine problems that detract from the story. And i hope people can focus on actual critiques without being swarmed by 800 others solely blaming it on the shortening. Someone telling me about a hypothetical full season 3 where the part i was complaining about was Good, Actually, doesnt mean the part i was complaining about stops being bad. And it certainly doesnt mean im not allowed to critique it in good faith

He, the more experienced surgeon, wouldn't intervene to operate on Silna's father. He watched as Goodsir did his best. Maybe he watched in a detached, clinical way that saw the actions alone and tallied up all the things Goodsir was doing wrong, or that he, Stanley, could do better. When the man died, that was just a fact, really. Inevitable, perhaps, given the time since he was shot and Goodsir's skill.

I wonder if some part of him looked back at that incident in a different light later on. If he'd helped to save the man, how much of this could have been avoided?

And if Goodsir was a better surgeon and saved Silna's father, would things have been different?

I started reading Billy Bat manga by Urasawa Naoki (u may know him as the guy who did Monster) and jesus christ its wild. Absolute experience. Judas and Jesus are in it, so are ninjas, so is lee harvey oswald (technically at least 3), theres a bat thats satire about how evil mickey mouse and disney are, there's lying cartoons galore, there's the civil rights movement, the oppressivr terror of the ku klux klan and the structural damage of segregation and fucked up laws, and the pervasiveness of advertising and the coca cola company ("golden cola") there's real events sprinkled with gratuitious fictional shit about manipulative God Billy Bat (or perhaps "administrator/guide to the human race"), a scroll that could control the world, Fake walt disney has hired killers, the looming brutality of imperialism and corporations buying out poorer areas, killing in other countries and breaking laws and whatever else is needed to acquire what they want, there's a cartoon dog kennedy assasination, a baby kevin inherits the powers of an older kevin, there's ninjas and priests, there's a small town out west full of cowboy larpers who are this comic artists biggest fan club, a secret agent Smith with a heart of gold (one hopes), a teenager named jackie whos seeing visions, there's a good and evil fake "mickey mouse" bat but frankly theyre probqbly both evil cause either way they lie and manipulate to get people to do what they want, judas cameos not only in his jesus arc but as a little kiddo, and like.
