In honor of Mando Eve I’m gonna go ahead and regurgitate my fave ooey gooey Dadalorian moments:

My Favorite SoftDad Din Moments

Sticks out his finger to Grogu within 2.5 seconds of meeting him.

Kicks Grogu’s pod away when he’s in danger, very shortly after knowing eachother.

Trying to be subtle, and totally failing, when he asks both the Client and Karga what they’re gonna do with Grogu.

Stormtrooper roughly grabs Grogu’s pod: “Easy with that.”

“No. I don’t want that thing anywhere near him.”

Drops silver ball into Grogu’s hand after previously telling him it wasn’t a toy.

“If you put one mark on him there’s no place you will be able to hide from me.”

Din frantically reaching out for Grogu as he runs to him on Tatooine.

Bends down on his knee to get on Grogu’s level.

The desperate “No!” when Grogu is yeeted into the mamacore’s mouth.

Worriedly fusses with Grogu’s tunic after he’s ripped out his pod after being rescued.

The pure, gentle way he says Grogu’s name when he finally hears it from Ahsoka, like it’s the most precious name he’s ever spoken.

Holds Grogu close, strokes his hand and stares at him like he’s the only thing in the universe.

“Okay I’m gonna protect you. Just stay there, I’ll be back soon.”

Sadly grabs Grogu’s silver ball out of the ashes of the Razor Crest.

“He is my only priority.”

“He means more to me than you will ever know.”

Uses his entire body to shield Grogu when Gideon attempts to shoot him.

Closes eyes in softboi as Grogu gently caresses his face.

“Don’t be afraid.”

The tear in his eyes as he watches his son get carried away in Luke’s arms.

The affectionate back pats when Grogu jumps into his arms in BOBF.

The softest, nearly inaudible chuckle when Grogu coos and strokes his helmet.

How damn quickly protective dad mode is switched on as he activates his jet pack and rescues Grogu.

Sleepily lets Grogu snuggle into his arms on the N-1.

Gently teaching Grogu to be a Mandalorian, which makes him speak more than ever before.

Taking Grogu with him in the N-1 through the air battle with the pirates cause they’re that attached to each other.

And the GOAT: “Wherever I go, he goes.” ❤️

I need help…this stuff takes up more space in my sappy brain than most romances! And it 100% explains why we all love this space cowboy dad the way we do. Din is kinda perfect.

“I did an oopsie.”

Clockwork paused in his work, gaze turning from his work towards his ghostling (it didn’t matter if he was an adult, he’d always be his ghostling) who was smiling nervously, avoiding his eyes.

“Oh?” He kept his tone light, even as he worked on untangling a time knot. Honestly at least Danny was immune to any effect of time, even if he couldn’t look into his timelines in exchange. It came with being the other half of Infinity.

“Yeeah… you know that corner of the multiverse you told me not to go to because you’re working on some time problems? I might have stumbled into one of the worlds in the corner…”

He stopped his machinations, fully turning towards Danny- Space, his Core whispered and quivered in utter delight at having an Equal in power- with a raised eyebrow, leaning on his staff and silently telling him to explain.

Danny poked his fingers together, giving a nervous laugh. “So uh, I was just exploring right? Well me and Ellie, you know how she gets when she can’t wander, and um… I er, we might have messed with some things in the creation of it… I didn’t know it was part of that universe, I swear! It was so far at the fringes and halfway into the Zone and I couldn’t just let a universe die before it began and-”

Oh- Oh! His ghostling (and his grand-ghostlings it sounded like) had claimed his first universe! He could put off these time knots, this was a grand milestone for any Ancient, nevermind such a primordial force as one of theirs.

And this is how a DC world came into being with humans evolving with more avian traits. Like wings. And claws. Look, Dan thought it’d be funny if they gave baby humanity wings and Ellie started rambling about how much farther they could travel if they had them and Danny thought it could be cool. Oh well, time to keep an eye on their itty baby world now…

He be hanging out with Jocasta Nu in the Archives reading something like he doesn't already know everything because he's such a perfect, perfect, sentient being and I just love him so much.

They be talking about the yesteryears and old people problems over tea. Plo being an absolute grandpa about how his knee hurts but how he trusts the force that it will magically unhurt if he is ever called to battle.

Obi wan anakin and ahsoka family soap blurb

So i just rewatched one of @zengers star wars ai videos on youtube (which i can only highly recommend they're the best) and heard obi wan calling anakin and ahsoka 'kids'. And this combined with their relationship what was always big bro little sister and their tired single dad i had an idea of soap about obi wan ahsoka and anakin and their daily life:

Anakin and ahsoka being the kids, anakin the older broher and ahsoka the younger sister and obi wan is their tired single dad raising them (also the mom role with their mom satine already passed away who had loved her beloved kids and husband uncondicionally and was so fun and warm and sweet and is missed every day so badly) and r2 d2 being their pet which dad never wanted but the kids found it lost without a home and begged him that they please could keep it an that they would ofc take care of it (obi dad has to take it on walks and feed it and we know it) but in the end he still loves it aswell. Yoda being their unhinged great grandvather already in retirement home telling dirty jokes at the dinner table on thanksgiving and qui gon being their grandfather living nearby teaching them dumb shit joining them on their stupid adventures. Mace windu being their neighbour who hates kids but especially them two who always destroy his peace and quite, windows and lawn. Yelling over the fence to kenobi to get his fucking brood in control while they always play pranks on him all the time. Padme being anakins girlfriend, rex their cousin and cody, quinlan and obi single dad besties, a bros since childhood trio.

Them (the kids and the dad bros) spreading chaos wherever they go. Kids making the dumbest decisions and going on the stupidest adventures together every day, going on their dads very last nerve and not listening to him most of the time. Them accidently almost blowing up the entire city by trying to get him the best gift for fathers day/ his birthday (they probably forgot it in the first place and gotta apologice) trying to show him how much they love and appreciate him and how sorry they are. They would do everything for him and love him uncondicionally. Obi dad sometimes even joining them on their dumb adventures or himself making the stupid decicions and them experiencing all kinds of chaotic days in normal day to day life.

Episodes where the dad bestie trio and all their kids together go on roadtrips camping and get lost and then get chased by a moose through the woods while some funny song playing the background. Or a funny day trip and then at the drive home anakin would be like "...and that was so funny you should have heard that loud splash when i threw her into the fountain, she was so mad tho. But it was so worth it cause it was sooo funny" "Well certainly not for your poor, soaking wet sister" "oh by the way while we are talking about her....where is she?" "What do you mean anakin? She's right th..." and obi dad then turning blank white in the face after looking in the backmirror while driving realising they had forgotten her in the hotel lobby (still dripping wet) and him than doing a 360. turn weels screaching and yeeting of to get her. Her pouting all the way home and obi wan apologizing the whole time "dear i'm so sorry i don't know how that could have happen your brother was going on my nerves with the pool animal and" and anakin just laughing.

Then in the end of the episodes they'd be sitting on the couch in the living room like "dad you know that we love you so much thank you for being the best of all dads" and these were the rare moments they'd be so serious and he'd be like "aw kids even tho you k*ll my very last nerve every day of course i love you guys too more than everything and i could never imagine my life without you two in it" "and r2" "yeah ofc and r2" and then after a cute warm cuddle anakin would say something like "even tho you're old as f*ck" and crack the moment with the invicible audience laughing and obi dad shaking his head sighing and laughing and then the episode ends.

Just their daily life that would be an awesome, fantastic family comedy soap.

I just can’t get over how Hunter went from being just a war-hardened veteran to showing so much tender love and affection for a tiny human, for whom he would undoubtedly go to war. He has made himself a safe place for her, validating her feelings, being an anchor for her, and allowing her to be completely vulnerable around him with no judgment. I also love how he lets his own guard down and allows himself to be vulnerable in front of her, thus being someone she can feel completely safe around. Man, I can’t imagine how he would react if she told him everything she went through on Kamino. He would be so much more protective of her.

You know, considering that new untitled Peach game is a bit like Luigi’s Mansion with how it puts a Mario character in a new environment with new game mechanics, I’m kinda hoping Peach gets her own original villain the same way Luigi was given King Boo.

Hell, with Super Mario RPG coming back, which has many original characters, and with the characters from the Peach teaser being something other than Toads, it seems Nintendo might be willing to dip their toes into original characters again. So what’s better to start making new characters than by giving Peach her own bad guy ! Also the new Mario Bros game has some new characters as well from the looks of it, so again, it’s possible !

And don’t get me wrong, Bowser is absolutely iconic and I do enjoy the irony of Peach battling against him. But with this game not being a platformer, and again taking into consideration Luigi’s Mansion, it would be a fun change of pace for Peach to have a new villain in her own series (god I hope this game becomes a series of several games!!!). Plus, it seems Peach will be more and more playable in mainline games, meaning more Bowser beat-up from her anyways.

And yes, part of me wants that new villain to be a female character as it's been forever since Mario games has had one and I am very much aware of how people would go crazy over it for the shipping.

(Also going back to Bowser, it’s more of a “me” thing but I always found it slightly weird to see Bowser attack Peach, since he’s supposed to be in love with her (Paper Mario games prove it well) and in all the games she gets captured, there are no indications he ever raises a hand on her. Hell in Odyssey he’s very gentle when putting Tiara on Peach’s head. Also Peach is never particularly afraid of him despite how horrible he can be, which implies he doesn’t physically hurt her.

Fun fact : this is why I headcanon Super Princess Peach as taking place very soon after Super Paper Mario, since the two of them would have just spent weeks working together and getting along. So it would work for Bowser to lose his shit upon getting rejected yet again “despite doing everything right” and thus be willing to fight her. As for 3d World, there’s three other people Bowser can focus on to avoid hurting her)

#Super Mario #Princess Peach #Untitled Princess Peach game #Flor talks #you know; about the possibility of Peach not getting captured anymore in future games; I don't know how to feel about it #and funnily enough; it has nothing to do with Peach herself but instead with Bowser #the gist of it is that Bowser is a shitty person with a pretty big soft side #and outside of being a dad; the other thing showing that soft side is his love for Peach; granted the mainline games barely ever show it #but the RPGs do; and as messed up as it is; it's also kinda cute !#and basically if Bowser stops kidnapping Peach; not only does it show less that he likes her in a sense as it reduces how obsessed he is #but most importantly it means Bowser will need new reasons to be a villain; reasons that might turn him into an irredeemable piece of shit #and that's what I'm afraid of; I like Bowser as that absolute douche with a soft spot who's willing to work with Mario if needed #I think the best way Nintendo could go about this would be to find a balance to the kidnappings #have all the big Mario 3d games be about Bowser kidnapping Peach along with a few of the mainline games #meanwhile have the other half of the mainline games feature Peach as playable + give her her own game series #(I mean reminder that in the 5 main 3d games; Luigi is only playable in the Galaxy ones #and for the first one takes finishing the game to unlock; so having Peach sometimes be the hero sometimes the damsel could work)#(the main issue with her being the damsel is that we never get to play as her; causing her to be seen as a bland character by many #but if we do play as her sometimes + she gets her own games; her being the damsel will be less of an issue)#(another way to fix the issue could also to go the early Paper Mario route and have her actually do things while captured)
