Louie Duck Headcanons

Pairings: Louie Duck x Fem! Reader Aged Up + Tw: Slight Angst? Maybe?

Louie isn't good at expressing his feelings in words. He's much better with his actions

He teaches you all the scams and tricks just so you don't fall for any of them

If anyone tries to scam or trick you, he'll make sure they pay [Ref. Season 1 Episode 9 "The Impossible Summit of Mt. Neverrest!"]

He values your opinion (Though he would never tell you that he does. It's just the little things)

He tries to impress you a lot & he loves when you praise him

He slowly gains a trust towards you that's even higher than the one with his brothers. He trusts you with his feelings in a way that makes him vulnerable

"I think you're a stunning woman, Y/n." He looks at you; Like really looks at you. He had never seen you in such a light, always saw you as a... well, not a woman. But now he can't deny it, you were a woman, and he hated it. You were different now and he couldn't get you out of his mind now. Why was he bothered by it now? He had never been phased by you before, but now he's thinking of everything he says and does- This was stupid, you're his best friend, but oh my god, why is that guy hitting on you?

Louie's never really been a jealous guy- or that's what he says

He hates the growing feeling in his chest when people hit on you

But he doesn't own you- Hell, you're not even dating, so he can't tell you not to flirt back, but god he wishes he could

You're his best friend, so he doesn't even have anyone to tell about these feelings

He'd tell his brothers, but he feels like they'd just make fun of you

"Are you okay?" Louie looks up at you, confused, "What?" "You're being weird..." "Weird?" "Yeah. I feel like you're avoiding me or something." He shakes his head, but he's lying. To you and to himself. He HAS been avoiding you. Not necessarily because of you, but because he's scared of his feelings, and he doesn't want to confront his feelings. "No... Just been busy." It's a lie. You know it. He knows it. A part of him hopes you bring up the topic of feelings. Just confess, that's all he needs, your confession. Tell him you have a crush on him, then he'll tell you he feels the same. But you don't. "Okay, if you say so," You then turn and leave. He feels as if he's just lied to the gates of heaven. Maybe if he had been honest, told you he loves you more than anything in the world, things would have been different. You could date, kiss, cuddle, but not now. Not yet. Maybe in the future. Yeah, the future.

As I scroll Tumblr during this spooky season, I notice a lot of very good fanart depicting Ducktales (2017) characters in Halloween costumes, and it gets me to thinking how big of a crime it is that we only got one Halloween episode.

Seriously, we got two Christmas episodes, three if you count 'The Impossible Summit of Mt. Neverrest!', which does take place in the Christmas season, but doesn't have much in the way of holiday themes and doesn't use a different title-sequence, but only one Halloween one, we were robbed on that front.

Anyway, all this is to say, if we got a second Halloween special, what costumes do you reckon the characters would wear, I'll go first.

Scrooge - the same glowing skeleton costume, that guy is not gonna be buying a new costume every year.

Huey - the burning JWG he once hallucinated, gotta spread that nightmare fuel.

Dewey - Darkwing Duck, he's doing a costume with LP

Louie - Webby, she's family now, so free reign to dress as. Yes he is just wearing a bow in his hair, but damn if it isn't convincing.

Webby - Scrooge, we all know she's secretly been cosplaying as him for years, but, now she's passed the 'it has to be scary' thing you know she's going to be dressing as him at every possible opportunity.

Lena - in contrast to her usual look, something a lot brighter. She isn't wearing any costume, per se, and she definitely isn't copying several elements from Webby's normal clothes, and is not competing with Louie.

Violet - normal clothes, she doesn't realise it's Halloween.

LaunchPad - Gosalyn, he's doing a costume with Dewey, and as this is his first proper Halloween he's gone all out, and it's the quite possibly the most horrifying thing ever.

Donald - Storcules, he won't mind, they're best friends (acquaintances!)

Della - Selene, good combo with Donald.

Penumbra - Della has dragged her along, no she isn't in any special costume, because she's scary enough as is.

So, thoughts on Impossible Summit of Mt. Neverrest? How was it seeing Scrooge's first full on adventure with the kids post-Atlantis (in the intended order you're seeing)? How was Scrooge's past with George Mallardy? How was Webby's desire to want to sled with Dewey trying to help her? How was Louie and Launchpad's subplot?

I enjoyed getting another big adventure so soon, even if it wasn't quite as big as Atlantis. The idea behind the mountain having wormholes that keep people from reaching the peak was insanely clever! I never saw it coming.

I've said this before, but it was interesting to see how inexperienced and nervous Scrooge used to be. That still doesn't excuse Mallardy nearly killing him though. I'm glad Scrooge was able to get over that mental hurdle by the end of the episode.

Webby continues to be one of my favorite characters! She's been so sheltered, even a lot of basic activities like sledding are completely new to her. Though she didn't seem too impressed by it after actually giving it a try XD.

Launchpad and Louie served as a nice break from the main plot throughout the episode. I can tell that I'm gonna like Launchpad a lot going forwards; he reminds of of Soos from Gravity Falls.

look at his little sweater I love it. he looks so cozy. I would wear that. I want to put him in a jar

13 - favorite friendship

UGH OKAY..... this is so hard because he is so interesting in so many situations and relationships. honestly I would love to see even more of him and Donald. I especially love them in The Most Dangerous Game.... Night! and that we get to see how much history they have, and in The Town Where Everyone Was Nice, too, lol. They're such rivals but they really do care about each other a ton

OH THIS IS HARD. if I think of something more fitting to the prompt I'll update, but I think he had trouble flying for a long time after the Spear of Selene because it reminded him too much of Della. He'd hardly admit that to himself, let alone anyone, though.

All though, Scrooge and the kids did not use George Mallardy’s frozen corpse as a sled
