A relaxing time + Art update

Today I enjoyed a nice pampering and relaxation at the hairdressers.. (◡ܫ◡✿) I kept my hair nice and long, just how I like it ^w^ I just needed a trim off the fringe and split ends. But I also went for a relaxing hair wash and brush, I really like being brushed :3 I also had it straightened, though straightened or not, I still look amazing (◕ܫ◕✿) I suit both! Then I played pokemon go and went for a nice evening walk down to the playpark :3 I allowed Abby the absol to defend the gym as normal, and I was also walking with my buddy pokemon Furry the furret anyways, so she was in my party to help defeat team instinct :3 but my jolteon Comet handled them no problemo, she's one tough cookie! ÙwÚ Team mystic ftw! >w< but yeah it was all nice and peaceful when the children went home :3 hehe I had the park to myself ^w^ but I wasn't gonna stay for long, I decided I'll play on the rides some other time because I need to make dinner and it was getting dark (you gotta avoid poorly lit areas!), but I did enjoy the beautiful sunset and I liked the garden area too :3 I picked some rosemary for cooking and whatnot. On my way home I got to admire a lovely view of the sun setting, but also, a nice long boat was in the sea so I was admiring that ^-^ Boats are nice and pretty to see, especially in the evenings where they have their lights on ^w^ I live by the sea so I get to watch all the boats go by, it's pretty awesome :3 I took a photo! You'll get to see it on bluesky ^w^ alternatively, you can also see it on twitter aswell! I'm gonna use the rosemary with my breaded roast chicken, I'm also gonna have it with chow mein flavoured super noodles, banana shallots (they're a type of onion), and chips! (not crisps, chips!) oh and a bbq dip, can't go wrong with bbq sauce X3 yum! And I'm gonna have a nice cuppa irn bru soda! hehe, can't go wrong with irn bru either! it is just the best soda ever :D So I'm gonna be making that and enjoying some Spongebob episodes while I eat. it's been so nice, relaxing, and peaceful today ^-^ I love being a pampered princess ^w^ Before I do all that, I gotta remind you guys that art might come a little slower than normal, sorry! I've been hard at work resuming my progress on my fursuit Hazel V2! I gotta get it ready if I wanna wear it for halloween and scotiacon ^w^; but! fursuits are art and art is fun to make, so I'm enjoying the process of making Hazel V2 ^w^ I'll maybe get to work after some of that delicious dinner, but yeah I didn't realise that today was gonna be so good! I hope all my fluffies are having a good time too ◠ω◠ Anyways thank you for reading :3 Hope you don't mind art and livestreams being a bit slow for now <:3 But no worries, I'll see if I can share other things so yea! ^-^

20. What is your favorite aspect of Danganronpa?

I think both the character designs and character writing has always been one of dr's strong points. The character designs and art style are what particularly drew me in at first. I REALLY appreciate the unique-ness of the art style particularly in the way that the eyes are drawn. The tiny pupil approach is not one you see in anime often at all and it really makes the dr style stand out to me. Maybe its just because I don't give my characters pupils in my art, but i think it looks neat :^)

The character designs, in my opinion, are often immediately engaging and tell a lot about the characters right off the bat. I like chara designs that are a bit more detailed than not, but there is a balance that needs to be struck and i think a lot of dr designs do that for me.

As for the chara writing itself, I think dr does a good job of making something for everyone. Meaning that no matter what tropes you prefer for characters you are likely to find at least one character you enjoy. Yes the charas are trope-y but i think that is 100% fine because there is a good deal of variety to them as well.

Slow Cooker Thanksgiving Slop (everything purchased from Aldi!)

YOOOOOOOOOOOO

It's me, ya girl, coming at ya with a delicious dish that satisfies the desire for a hearty, festive meal with very little effort (Executive Dysfunction FTW)

As mentioned before, all this shit is from Aldi, so also pretty budget friendly as well! (ALDI IS LYFE)

Here's what yer gonna need if you wanna slop it up like me!

Software:

1 boneless turkey tenderloin

1 package (6oz) stovetop-style stuffing mix

1 can cream of xxxxx condensed soup mix, I use mushroom or chicken, choose your fave!

.5 cup sour cream/plain Greek yogurt

.5 cup water/broth

1 package (10-12oz) frozen cut green beans

S&P and any desired seasonings

(Optional: canned jellied cranberry sauce, fried onions)

Hardware:

Slow cooker, bowl, can opener, stirring implement

(Optional: slpw cooker liner for easy cleanup, a bowl... or you can use your bare hands, Idc)

Existential:

A hunger in your belly that can only be filled by shoveling hot mush into your face as fast as humanly possible

(Optional: the will to live... but the food might help!)

How it's made:

Either spray down or line your slow cooker crock

Plop turkey tenderloin in the bottom (the plop here is imperative for emotional satisfaction) season as desired, s&p, garlic, poultry seasoning, whatever you like

Toss dry stuffing mix over turkey

Mix canned soup, sour cream, and liquid until relatively smooth

Wet your dries by pouring the liquid mixture over the dry stuffing

Top all that with the frozen green beans

Cover slow cooker and cook on High 4hrs or Low 6-8hrs

In the last hour of cooking, I used a wooden spoon to break up the turkey and mix everything together

As the pic suggests, I topped with fried onions and a side of cranberry jelly.

This whole damn thing is a mostly hands-off slop of Thanksgiving goodness that was absolutely deeeee-licious!

Now go forth and nourish your body and your soula

Netflix's ATLA initial thoughts, ep 4: Into the Dark but first some big thoughts

Three episodes in, I kind of wish they'd gotten rid of Momo. They're cutting so much from the OG show and Appa doesn't really have a personality yet. I doubt we'll see him this episode; so halfway through season 1 and we've barely seen a very important character. Did we need Momo? As I said previously, the main trio don't have good chemistry but they're better with other actors so I'm starting to suspect that the fact that they're not strong actors is holding them back as a group. It feels like the creators tried to squeeze too much into these short episodes without developing their relationships [with Aang] in a meaningful and fun way; there's not really much FUN in the show, just some jokes and also sentimental moments.

All of that said, there are some things I do like. Ozai and other prominent fire nation citizens showing up early on is A-OK with me and it has almost nothing to do with Daniel Dae Kim's cheekbones. The effects are mostly good; I've decided this is just a type of magic that can't be shown in live action but there are moments that are strong. Iroh and Zuko are better fleshed out, which I suspect is having a veteran actor and only one child actor (easier than 3 child actors). I think they've done a decent job at cutting some of the fat; the combined storylines, like everything in Omashu and Kyoshi Island, work for me. I wish there were more silly moments but I don't mind that they decided to steer clear of the cartoonish route. At least it's consistent. Sokka is funny.

Back to the show!

Aang and Iroh convo ftw! And is Zuko going back in to save Iroh? I'm excited.

Too much exposition in the dialogue, man! Why are these people not talking like people!?

Danny Pudi elevates every scene he's in. Excellent casting choice.

I like that Bumi's identity isn't a "mystery" this time around. It adds an interesting edge to his antagonism. That edge is unlikeability. Maybe he'll be better by the end of the episode.

Sokka letting go and vibing with the earth kingdom nomads? Chefs kiss.

Is it terrible that Sokka and Katara in the tunnel is giving me Folger's commecial? I like the idea of it being familial love, and the trio acts better when none of them have to third wheel, but my brain went there. I'm sorry lmao.

Honestly Iroh deserves the shit he's getting from the guard, who is eating an apple so we know he's an asshole.

Young Zuko showing signs of his goodness by ignoring tradition and comforting Iroh jfc the first time this show THIS SHOW made me cry. Not he echoes of the animation, but this actual show. Wow. Incredible choice. And LEAVES FROM THE VINE 😭

Sibbling bonding ftw. The change to the "love is brightest..." bit is whack. Badgermole looks sick.

The Bumi/Aang fight had a lot of cool similarities to the OG! I don't love that the point of the fight, however, was for a child to convince an old man that there's hope instead of an old man teaching a child an important lesson.

Zuko and Iroh at the end... WHO keeps cutting ONIONS?!

Best episode so far. The changes mostly worked. All for today for me. Halfway point!
