17 YEAR OLD ME,

At this point, I've experience a many things that makes a teenager. I wanna try something more exciting at this age like doing what teenager do but I put some boundaries on it. And at this age I learn many things like drinking alcohol going home late and many more. And experiencing something that I thought I was not ready for but here I survive and starting to make my the best version of my self.

And at this age I travel a lot meeting new people making good memories and going out to my comfort zone learning new things choosing friends that will held me to the good path, making wise decision on my life. And at the age of 17 I slowly getting my confidence playing in the big league of basketball learning from the best and keep striving to improve my my self being a basketball player and maybe one day basketball can help me to achieve my dream.

"ONE DAY ALL THE HARD WORK WILL PAY OFF!"

16 YEAR OLD ME,

Turning 16 is big deal to most teens. Not only does their freedom expand with the addition of a driver's license, but they also are becoming more cognizant of what they want to do in their future. Those who plan to attend college may be visiting universities or preparing to take the appropriate standardized tests.

As for parenting, 16-year-olds can bring both joy and frustration to their parents and caregivers. Along with all the reasons for immense pride in how your teen is growing up and accomplishing goals, there are bound to be a few struggles along the way too. On the one hand, you might get to see your teen land the starring role in a musical, earn a spot on a sports team, get a driver’s license, or make the honor roll. On the other hand, there also might be academic challenges, risky behaviors, or straight-up rudeness, none of which are easy to deal with.

15 YEAR OLD ME,

This is a time of changes for how teenagers think, feel, and interact with others, and how their bodies grow. Most girls will be physically mature by now, and most will have completed puberty. Boys might still be maturing physically during this time. Your teen might have concerns about her body size, shape, or weight. Eating disorders also can be common, especially among girls. During this time, your teen is developing his unique personality and opinions. Relationships with friends are still important, yet your teen will have other interests as he develops a more clear sense of who he is. This is also an important time to prepare for more independence and responsibility; many teenagers start working, and many will be leaving home soon after high school.

14 YEAR OLD ME,

Fourteen can be a pivotal age for both young people and their parents or caregivers. Not only are many 14-year-olds just beginning high school, but they also are heading down the path toward becoming a healthy, responsible adult. This can be both exciting and challenging—for both of you.

At this age, many 14-year-olds are developing their unique identity, gaining independence, and likely exploring (or thinking about) romantic relationships. That can be a lot to take in as a parent. But, by providing plenty of supportive guidance and helping them gain the skills they need for a successful future, you both can weather this transition seamlessly.

And at this age I didn't enjoy it much because of the virus that makes the whole world into crisis at this age I'm just home thinking what memories I've done if there's no virus and no lockdown maybe I learn new things again.

13 YEAR OLD ME,

As your child makes the transition from being a 12-year-old kid to a 13-year-old adolescent, you are bound to see some interesting changes. Not only will your child be making a mental shift as they begin to view themself as a teenager, but they also will be experiencing a variety of physical and emotional changes as well. For instance, your 13-year-old may become sensitive to their changing bodies or take notice of the changes in their peers if they are slower to develop.This realization may cause them to worry that they are different or abnormal in some way—especially if they are not growing body hair or have not hit a growth spurt yet. They also will be experiencing a variety of emotional changes they begin to spend more time with their peers. They may also struggle to think about the consequences of their behavior before they act. This has to do with different parts of their brains develop at slightly different rates.

12 YEAR OLD ME

A 12-year-old’s brain may have stopped growing in size, but it’s nowhere near done developing. Abstract thinking, problem-solving, and logic are all becoming easier. “They show improvement in reasoning and information processing as they continue to mature,” says Chris Cardona-Correa, MD, an adolescent medicine fellow at the University of Minnesota. “The young adolescent may demonstrate the capacity for long-range planning, and the ability to consider other points of view and feelings, and this capacity continues to develop as they grow older."

However, the prefrontal cortex, which is the part of the brain that plays a role in impulse control and organizational skills, is still maturing. So don’t be surprised if your 12-year-old engages in some potentially impulsive behavior.By 12, most children have a strong command of language and communication skills. They are able to think beyond literal interpretations, and proverbs and idioms won’t fly over their heads anymore.

11 YEAR OLD ME,

Eleven-year-olds are also beginning to realize that there are multiple ways to look at a piece of information, situation, or issue, and they start to understand that there is a gray area where there was previously only black and white. “Cognitively, children nearing middle school mature in their abilities to think through problems, plan, and organize; they also learn to think less concretely and more flexibly about how the world works,”

Some of this progress comes down to the development of your 11-year-old’s executive function skills, which are a combination of the cognitive, communication, motor, and sensory skills that will continue to mature into your child’s 20s. They start to understand more fully the consequences of their actions, can be more responsible with chores, and can better empathize and understand the perspectives of other people.

10 YEAR OLD ME

As children reach the age of 10, many will start to think of themselves as being almost teenagers. While some 10-year-olds will start looking and acting more mature, others will remain more child-like, both physically and emotionally. Ten-year-olds are emerging adolescents. 9 YEAR OLD ME,

Nine-year-olds are maturing emotionally and becoming more cognitively advanced. They are continuing to grow taller and stronger and they may be mentally ready to excel in sports and other physical activities. But don't be surprised when they suddenly become tired, moody, or change interests day-to-day. Age 9 can be a bit of a roller coaster, and we are here to help guide you through it. At 9 years old, you'll continue to witness lots of language growth in your child as well as cognitive developments. Let's break them down. By age 9, the baby-talk of earlier years is mostly gone. Nine-year-olds can mostly speak with the same grammatical patterns as adults, and people who don't know your child well will generally be able to understand them. 8 YEAR OLD ME,

A list I made as a teen about how to live, circa 2013

1. Adapt and adjust. Situations change all the time, mentally prepare yourself for anything and everything. Then nothing can take you by surprise.

2. Learn fast. Ask questions, but try to make inferences yourself. Think laterally.

3. Reinvent yourself and be flexible. Don't just stick to your way of doing things, pick up everyone's strengths and drop your own weaknesses.

4. Always pee before a journey. Always!

5. Keep your mind organised. It reflects on everything you do.

6. Be cool, calm and collected. Freaking out has never helped anyone.

7. The moment you think you can do something, you gain the ability to do it. That thing you tell yourself about how you cannot do something is just a mental block.

8. Take interest in what people say. If you speak, you are only repeating what you already know, but if you listen you may learn something new.

9. Never give up. Ever. Even when the odds are against you. Your will is one of the few things that are entirely in your control.

10. Think outside of the box. Be creative and be ingenious. Time for the ordinary is gone.

11. Observe. There is a lot that goes by without people's notice. Slow down, and smell the roses, don't start running and step on them.

12. If you think something that you're about to do will disappoint anyone anywhere in the world, you shouldn't do it.

13. Respect people who do things for you: be it a sweeper, a CEO, your 8-year-old cousin or your mother. Everyone appreciates gratitude.

14. Speak up. Say what's on your mind before it's too late. And once you've said it, move on. Don't live in the past.

15. Strike a balance between how much you think and how much you talk. Extremes are never a wise choice.

16. Once you start disliking a person, everything they do seems annoying. Don't let it get to that with anyone.

77. Your mind is capable of creating boundless universes inside it. Close your eyes, and explore the universe behind them. Look inward.

Now Jacob and Indigo's wands have their own history because both were supposed to mature before they would be worthy of using them. So their first wands 'knew' they were bound to have exciting, but short lives in their hands.

And, my favorite part, they have twin wand cores that were destined to be theirs, to be in the Silverwood bloodline and be owned by them - meaning those wands will not work for any other wizard but them.

Because the thestral that owned the hairs of which their wands possess was raised and loved by an ancestor of theirs. Their purpose of this core reigning in their family's wands was quickly smothered by superstition, nevertheless the hairs persisted throughout the years, moving from person to person until it reached their respective wandsmith.

[...] When such a pairing is allowed to happen that witch or wizard will never find a more faithful companion. This core has potent magic, and is among the most intelligent and sentient of wand cores. [...]

Owners are social, gentle with others’ feelings, and love to have philosophic conversations late into the night. They may appear morbid to friends, and have a fascination with death [...].

Their twin cores also means that even if they try to fight and hurt each other, they'll never be able to, but also means that fighting together they are stupidly powerful and can take on even the most experienced bunch.

Indigo Silverwood

1st Wand: Red Oak wood with Dragon Heartstring core, 12″, pliable.

"The true match for a red oak wand is possessed of unusually fast reactions, making it a perfect dueling wand. Its ideal master is light of touch, quick-witted and adaptable, often the creator of distinctive spells, and a good person to have beside in a fight."

Indigo had good times with her red oak wand but as the years went by, her emotions start affecting the wand's efficiency. The wand would bleed a glowing red light in moments of extreme physical or emotional pain and become extremely unstable. Instead of having Rakepick directly break it, it's her own powers, during a point of crisis, that leads to the wand's destruction.

I imagine her first wand to have a more common look to it, neat and polished, expected for a young witch in the making.

2nd Wand: Beechwood with Thestral hair core, 13", rigid flexibility.

"The true match for a beech wand will be, if young, wise beyond their years, and if full-grown, rich in understanding and experience. Beech wands perform very weakly for the narrow-minded and intolerant. When properly matched, the beech wand is capable of a subtlety and artistry rarely seen in any other wood, hence its lustrous reputation."

Indigo has a hard time adapting to her new wand, it's stubborn to her spells and acts upon its own will especially considering its unusual and unstable core, Thestral hair. It might even cast spells on its own will and become impatient while she simply trains basic spells during class.

Her wand is one of a kind which is why she has to adapt her abilities to match the wand's requirements. Despite all, it's a remarkable instrument for undoing curses/spells, detecting danger, and can take the shock of stronger magic - including her Legilimency.

Her second wand I imagine to look old - very old - like it's been waiting a century or more for a suitable master. It would also have the look of a wand that was especially hard to make with subtle cracks along the shaft, yet remaining its dignity and poise with detailed carvings and metal bits

Also, at one point, in a duel, Indigo wins over Ben's wand allegiance but that's a topic for another day (:

Jacob Silverwood

1st wand (canon): Maple wood with Dragon heartstring core, 10", (hc) swishy flexibility.

"Those chosen by maple wands are by nature travellers and explorers; they are not stay-at-home wands, and prefer ambition in their witch or wizard, otherwise their magic grows heavy and lacklustre. Here is JC really trying to sell us an adventurous and challenge loving Jacob and I think it's more than fair to assume that's how he was before things got serious.

I can't decide how I want it to look, so it's a mix between those two first, the third being a bit of a mix, croocked and lil swirly, looking frail yet experienced.

2nd Wand: Elder wood with Thestral hair core, 12½", unbending flexibility.

They have remarkable minds, able to connect or parallel two unrelated things seamlessly. Often top students, academics come easy to them. As such, their minds are somewhat under-stimulated by most academic environments. They get bored. And this boredom leads to small bouts of mischief as they like to perform small ‘experiments’ (AKA pranks) just to see what happens. Though teachers and professors may adore them, their peers often do not.

Weirdness seems to be attracted to them. Many weird events happen to them and around their vicinity. They may diagnose themselves with chronic bad luck.

To the few that have earned their respect and love (and can keep them amused), elder wand owners are nurturing and loyal to the death. They are willing to die or go to hell and back for their loved ones. (.)

This wand is made by an attempt of replicating the famous Elder Wand, though it's known that it isn't possible to simply do that, because the conditions in which the original was made and the magic used to do so also influenced in its immense power, not to mention centuries of experience and the power of the wizard controlling the wand.

Jacob buys his new wand "off brand" in Knockturn Alley - since he was officially expelled at this point - where the wandsmith uses more unusual and dangerous cores and wood.

Jacob is very skeptical when he is chosen by the wand due to its unlucky reputation, but as much as he tried other wands, they weren't as responsive to his magic while the elder one nearly vibrated in his palm - he wonders if the wand was shutting down the others' powers.

Since he spent so many year stuck in the Portrait Vault, he takes ages to fully master his wand, thought it seems to understand his feelings like no other - like in high stakes moment where his adrenaline is up to the roof, it apparently knows what spell to cast even before he thinks about it.

The wand has ombre coloration and turn reddish in moments of heavy spell casting. He later ties leather strings to the base to he can hold it firmly - something Indigo mimics from him.

Jacob also has the tendency of kepping strangers' wands he won in duels or confrontations or from dead wizards, just in case he needs a back-up.

(Part 11) (Satellites Master Post ) (Part 13)

Pidge had been working day and night on those damn Galra codes. She had been tipped off from a few stray files that clearly had been incredibly classified. Of course seeing that something was classified was the equivalent of a challenge, so the Green Paladin took it upon herself to get as much information as she could.

She had been holed up in her room for days. Eyes drooping in sleep deprivation and stomach growling. But she was almost there, she could just feel it. Just a few more codes.

That was her last thought before she finally passed out on her laptop, her exhaustion getting the better of her.

She wasn’t sure how long she had slept, but when she finally woke up, it was with a familiar blanket around her, in her bed, with her glasses placed gently on the shelf above her. She scanned for her laptop and found it across the room, still open on her desk.

Quickly, she sprung from her bed and raced over to the computer, immediately resuming her work. It only took a few more lines of code before she was in.

It worked. FIles upon files filled her screen, all titled the same.

Project Leo.

Picking up her computer she hurried out of her room in search of the others. She didn’t have to search long, as apparently she had just slept through dinner, and everyone was still hanging about in the dining hall.

“Guys! Guys, you aren’t going to believe this!”

Her exclamation halted all conversations as everyone turned their attentions to her.

“Calm down, Pidge. There’s no need to yell.” Shiro scolded, though Pidge was quick to roll her eyes at it. Of course there was a reason to yell! She had just found something amazing, for heaven’s sake!

“You know those classified files that were supposed to be completely impossible to get through?” she asked.

“You mean the ones that Kolivan sent over?” now that peaked Keith’s interest.

“Pidge, how did you get these? They were sent strictly to Allura.”another scolding from Shiro, earning another eye roll. Honestly, did they know nothing about her? The second you tell Pidge not to do something, she’s bound to do it 3 times over.

“How I got them, is not of your concern. This however is.” She handed the laptop to Shiro expectantly. “Apparently, the files were of this new thing that the Galra have been working on. Something to enhance their soldiers. Some experimental serum by the looks of it. The program is called-”

“Project Leo.” Lance’s voice was barely above a whisper, but somehow it was heard by everyone.

The group stared at him in shock, Pidge the most out of everyone.

“How did you know that?” Hunk hated the shakiness of his voice, but he couldn’t help it.

The room fell completely silent. All excitement Pidge could have had had dissipated quickly at the sound of Lance’s voice. The pained sound made her wish she had never tried to open the files to begin with.

“Because I was one of the experiments.”

Lance was pissed. As he stomped his way towards the bridge, towards where he knew Allura would be, his anger only seemed to grow.

Who the hell did she think she was?

What right did she have to do any of this?

The doors opened swiftly, the sound clearly startling Shiro and Allura out of whatever conversation they were having.

Another day, Lance would have apologized profusely for interrupting. But today? He could care less about being polite.

“What the actual FUCK ALLURA?”

“Shiro, could you give us a second?” the Altean turned to Shiro who simply nodded before exiting the room in a hurry.

Once the doors had closed Allura turned to a seething Lance.

“Yes, Lance?”

“How dare you! I had to find out about this mission through Keith. Keith! You know out of everyone here, the one person who should be on that mission is me!”

“I’m sorry Lance, but you’re not going.” Allura sighed, “I understand that you are angry-”

“Angry?” Lance exclaimed, his voice dripping in contempt. “Oh no, Allura, I’m not angry. I’m fucking pissed the fuck off! WHat makes you think that you can just bench me on a mission like this?”

Allura knew where he was coming from, could really understand why he wanted to go. These people had held him captive after all, changed him into what he was today. But it was that exact reason why she couldn’t in good conscience allow him to go.

“Lance, you are frustrated, believe me, I know. But at the moment I do not think it is wise given your current mental state.”

“It was fine enough for you to try to force me to do the mindmeld last week, Princess.” his last word came out as a sneer and it took all Allura had not to give into the blatant disrespect the Blue Paladin was showing to her.

“The mindmeld exercise was meant to help fix that.” she stated as calmly as possible. “That was why I suggested it. However, your reluctance hindered such.”

“So you’re punishing me for not wanting to relive my traumatic experiences?” Lance could not believe what he was hearing. So much for a fucking support system. “Tell me, Allura, how does being forced to endure torture again fix my mental state? I’d love to hear it!” Lance held nothing back in his voice. All anger and sarcasm that Allura could do nothing to fix. She was only trying to help.

“I am not punishing you, Lance. But with your recent panic attacks and nightmares, it is unwise to send you out like this.”

There was a beat of silence that gave Allura false hope that she had finally gotten through to him. She should have known better and cursed herself for her optimism.

“How do you know about that?” it was a genuine question despite the words coming out in a hiss. Only then did Allura realize that she had said too much.

It was no secret that Lance had nightmares. They were quite frequent and loud the first few weeks of his return. However, they had seemed to calm down after a bit. It was believed that they now came less frequently, that was until Keith had come to Allura with his concern about his fellow paladin.

Apparently, rather than the widely believed situation in which Lance “was handling it”, his nightmares and anxiety had only increased drastically. It was only due to Keith taking it upon himself to be able to calm Lance down that the team was given a false sense of security.

The only people who really knew about that were Keith and Allura. Not even Coran had been informed.

“W-well...I-I-”

“Keith told you, didn’t he?” a new rise of anger fille the Blue Paladin as the realization set in. “Didn’t he?” he asked again, louder that before when Allura had failed to answer the first time.

“H-he. He’s worried about you. Lance we all are.”

“Oh don’t give me that bullshit. If you were worried, you would have asked me about it. Not talk about me behind my back and exclude me from a mission that is literally about me!”

She didn’t know what to say.

What could she say?

Lance couldn’t go on the mission. He was too much of a liability at this point, but it seemed that anything that she could say to make him understand would only fall on deaf ears.

“I’m sorry, Lance. But you cannot go on the mission. We will keep you updated but it is vital that you remain here. As of now, you will be under strict observation by Coran, and when he deems you mentally fit, you may return to missions. My choice is final, and Shiro agrees.”

She took a few tentative steps forward, softening her eyes as she neared the Blue Paladin.

“I’m trying to do what is right for the team and for you. I am trying to keep you safe. I hope that you can understand.”

“Oh, I understand perfectly, Princess.” And with that, he stormed out of the bridge.

Allura waited until the doors finally closed before collapsing on her knees. WIth her head in her hands, she took a few shaky breaths to calm herself.

She was only trying to do what was right. So why did it feel like everything she did was only pushing Lance farther away from them?

Heya, here’s a lil cute love reading.

This healing work doesn’t have to be painful or difficult, Spirit is highlighting that you can have fun healing and defining yourself. You may want to focus on reconnecting with pleasure, and fully allowing yourselff to feel pleasure (not just sexual pleasure, which is actually usually the easiest to rationalize), you do not need to earn a pleasurable life, you are allowed to make your life comfortable and full of pleasure whenever you want. Lie down and gaze at the clouds for no reason at all, read a plotless romance novel if that’s your thing. You don’t need to rationalize or justify giving yourself pleasurable experiences.

Future energy: Moving on, closure. Soon you will be facing a choice; neither is a ‘bad’ choice, one will keep you in the cycle you are already in, the other will move you into a new stage. Be mindful, Spirit is saying you may not realize you are making this choice until you already have. When we decide we’re done with something (i.e. toxic friendships, unrequited love, etc.) Spirit will often give us a final ‘hurdle’ of giving us the chance to turn that thing we don’t want down. This will sometimes feel like a risk, like if we don’t take this thing, even though it isn’t satisfying or what we want, at least it’s better than nothing. If we decide to stay with that thing, that’s fine, it just means we won’t get that better thing we were asking for cause we’ve essentially told Spirit that the thing we chose to stay with is enough for us. Look out for moments where something you’ve decided you’re too good for comes back as an offer. Whichever choice you make, you will eventually get where you’re meant to be, so no worries there. Be clear about what you want and you will be led towards it. Be clear about what you won’t accept and hold firm in that. You won’t miss out on anything by turning down something that isn’t good enough for you. You will always get what is promised to you.

1. for some of you someone has a grip on you, you feel like you owe it to then to stay in a relationship (you don’t), and they lean on you but offer no support. their love is also very lean, like it will fill you but not satisfy, like there’s a lot of it, but nothing meaningful. They might be all talk and no action. You just want to escape and start from scratch. You want to set the meter back to zero and have a fresh start (either with them or with someone else). I feel like if you look closely at the relationship and get a fresh perspective on it, you’ll see how much more you deserve and how this isn’t satisfying for you. You can stay in this if you want but it won’t change and it won’t become more satisfying. You have to be in the relationship you are in, not the one you wish you were in. If you keep hoping the relationship will magically change, that might be a sign it’s not the right one.

It feels like you’ve been handed the brunt of the responsibility when someone else was supposed to help you with it. It’s perfectly okay to drop things that were never our responsibility to hold. it seems like you were waiting for a sign or for something to happen, but it just hasn’t come. This might be because you aren’t in the right relationship yet or the right situation. You don’t need to do anything to fix this besides taking your energy back and focusing on living as the main character or your own life. (sidenote for some of you, your person might be a bit older than you) there is someone in your life who has knowledge they can share with you. They might be able to help you find your way out of this situation with all these extra responsibilities.

3. Some of y’all feel like giving up. Like love is never going to find you, like you’ve hit a dead end, like there’s no reason to keep up hope. First of all, if Spirit has made you a promise, it will be fulfilled. Rock-bottom isn’t a loss of all hope, it’s a fresh start, an opportunity to make new choices exactly how we want. Think of opening a new game of sims, you get to rebuild everything exactly how you want it (is that how sims works? I was never allowed to play because of the sex). If you just focus on this rebuilding, you’ll find that before you know it you feel older, wiser, and like this setback was nothing at all. Spirit is saying things may feel out of control but it’s all being orchestrated to make the best symphony of experiences. This is all for a purpose.

Reflection: This is a love reading, but for a lot of the energies here, there’s some healing that needs to happen before a relationship can grow. Don’t rush this either, this is a foundation to build on so make sure you take your time. You may want to considerpreviouslyy held beliefs that are now restricting you. Flexibility and optimism will serve you well right now.

Will Your Next Smartphone be a Xiaomi? S20 FE 5G vs Mi 10T!

I must start off by saying WOW. Just a few short years ago, I wouldn't have dared to compare a pretty high end Samsung device to any Xiaomi phone. Here we are though, it's 2021, Huawei is pretty much out of the picture given that their phones don't have access to the Google services, Samsung makes great phones, but are usually quite pricey and Xiaomi isn't focused on making only cheap, budget smartphones anymore. Although not available worldwide, the Mi 10 Ultra, which takes every spec and brings it to the max is Xiaomi's way of giving us a sneak peak into what the future holds when it comes to their high end phones.

We are going to divide this comparison into 6 categories: Design, Screen, UI, Performance, Camera and finally, which one deserves your hard earned cash the most? If you're only interested in a specific, feel free to jump to that section through the video progress bar.

Ok, so first of all, the design and quality of the phones. This one is pretty easy, with Samsung you can feel that some corners were cut in order to bring the price down, we have seen this happening with most flagship killers. The back is made out a hybrid material, something that Samsung calls glasstic, but really, it feels like matte plastic. On the Mi 10T, we have Gorilla glass 5 not just on the front, but also on the back with this mirror-like effect. Also, the color of the back shifts from dark grey to almost silver, depending on the light. The frame is made out of aluminium on both, which is to be expected, but overall, the design of the S20 FE is just uninspiring. From the plain camera bump, to the larger bezels, I just don't think the S20 FE takes the crown when it comes to design. The bezels on this phone are slightly larger than on the predecessor, the Galaxy S10 Lite, so I can't say I'm pleased with this. Although the bezels aren't really slim on the Mi 10T either, when holding the phone, you can feel that the materials are of much higher quality, mostly because of the back. The camera bump is more pronounced but at least more interesting than just throwing 3 cameras in column and making the bump much wider than necessary. I must mention, this is not a 4 camera system, as the holes would lead you to believe, one of them is there just for the sake of symmetry. I will say though, the Mi 10T is quite a bit heavier than the S20 FE, a bit larger, mostly because of the larger screen and about a milimeter thicker, so if you appreciate thin & light, the Mi 10T might not be for you. If these things don't bother you, the Mi 10T is an absolute winner, being much closer to flagship territory than the S20FE, when it comes to the design.

Things are going to get a lot more interesting now, let's talk about the screens. On paper, the screen of the Mi 10T might look like the winner. After all, it's larger, coming in at 6.67 inches instead of 6.5 inches and it has an impressive 144Hz refresh rate, rather than 120Hz. There's a catch though, the screen on the Mi 10T is an IPS LCD panel, unlike the Samsung which has an AMOLED screen. This right here is a significant difference and the sole reason why the screen on the Mi 10T is not as good as it could be. Blacks are not as deep as on the AMOLED, because of the backlighting, the refresh rate isn't as impressive as it sounds on paper, because of the high response time, which looks like ghosting if you pay attention. I'm not sure it would've fit the budget, but I can honestly say a 90Hz AMOLED screen would've been the better choice, instead of going all out on the refresh rate but not feeling this benefit because of the LCD panel. Because of the LCD panel, it also means that you are missing out on Always on functionality, but this is the smallest of drawbacks, if you ask me. On the other side, with the Samsung, it's the usual AMOLED with really saturated colors. If you switch colors from vivid to to normal, the colors become too washed out, much more than I'm used to on my iPhone. What I ended up doing is using vivid mode with the blue light filter activated. I'm sure color accuracy suffers because of this, but at least the screen looks closer to what I'm used to.

Next up, we'll discuss the UIs, because it's an important category. This does come down to personal preference though, so what I'll do is tell you what each one can do and any drawbacks that they may have. Let's start off with Samsung, this S20 FE 5G rocks One UI 3 on top of Android 11 and to be honest, Samsung has got their stuff together when it comes to UIs. I get updates quite frequently and will continue to get Android updates until Android 13, Samsung has their own identity now, I like their browser better than Chrome. Also something great that Samsung did for one-handed use is using these large headers at the top, which disappears when scrolling, but mean that you can easily access the buttons when opening the app. Samsung's dedicated one-handed mode is elegant and can be adjusted so the screen shrinks to exactly the size you need. As far as bugs and glitches go, I can happily say that I haven't experienced none and the interface is smooth. On the Mi 10T we have MIUI 12 running on top of Android 10, so we're starting off already with an older version of Android, but this should be updated to Android 11 at some point, hopefully... MIUI feels a bit snappier and it has a lot of great looking notifications, maybe a bit overdone, but it cheers me up seeing stuff happening instead of the boring notifications we all got used to. I like the fact that I can get to the quick settings panel through a single swipe on the right side of the screen instead of two swipes on Samsung. The video toolbox is extremely useful as it lets you listen podcasts on Android with the screen closed. It's not all rosy though, the phone app is for example the stock android one and the UI elements just don't seem MIUI-like, the background of the app is blueish, whereas all the other apps are black because I have dark mode on. Sometimes, an app I use frequently, cellmapper is stuck open and the only way to close it is by force-closing. I am happy to report, though that there are no ads here. In the end, it comes down to personal preference, if you like your phone to be more animated, you'll like MIUI, if you want a more sober experience, go with One UI.

Performance wise, not much to say, both are at the flagship level, given the Snapdragon 865 equipped by both. 6GB of RAM on both, as these are the base models, MIUI seems to be a bit more aggressive with RAM management but this can be tweaked on a per-app basis, so your most used apps aren't going to get closed. I'm impressed that I don't feel the change in the refresh rate on the Xiaomi, as it is adaptive, it's smooth all throughout. One thing I like about the Xiaomi is the side mounted fingerprint reader, it's blazing fast, much faster than any phone I've used so far. With the on screen fingerprint sensor on the S20 FE, I almost always struggle to get it to unlock, it's harder to keep your finger stationary on glass and it seems to have a hard time reading my finger. Overall, I'll give this to the Mi 10T, the fingerprint scanner tips the scale in its direction for sure.

Cameras are a category where sometimes you can really feel that corners were cut. In this case, the Mi 10T doesn't have a telephoto camera, Xiaomi choosing to offer a 5MP macro lens, which although miles better than the 2 MP, it still doesn't come anywhere close to the telephoto when it comes to usefulness. The main camera is a 64MP shooter on the Mi 10T, using pixel binning to get 16MP photos, whereas on the Samsung we have a 12MP sensor. Overall, both take good shots, with the Xiaomi having more details, but losing out on dynamic range and in low light conditions, which is why I'll give this one to Samsung. The Mi 10T shoots 8k video, but that's a gimmick, as there is no video stabilisation at 8k, so you'll most likely end up shooting 4k to get usable video.

So, now the final question. Which one should you get? Well, here's the deal, both of these smartphones are great, but for the price difference, $699 vs about $499, it's hard to justify the price of the Samsung. Yes, the camera is better on the Samsung, but on the other hand, the design on the Mi 10T is higher quality than on the Samsung. I can only recommend the S20 FE if you want an all-around better camera system, partly due to the telephoto, partly due to better dynamic range and low light capabilities or if you absolutely can't live without OLED, though I'd recommend checking it out in real life before making the call. If the camera's not your main focus, spare the money and get the better looking, higher quality built Mi 10T.

Hosea 10:1-14:9, Jude 1:1-25, Psalms 127:1-5, Proverbs 29:15-17

Today is the 8th day of December welcome to the Daily Audio Bible I'm Brian it is a joy and an honor to be here with you today as we do what we do every day, take the next step forward together in the Scriptures as we continue our journey toward the end of the year. And I've been mentioning things are gonna speed up because we’re moving to use shorter texts. Today is no different. We will conclude the book of Hosea today in the Old Testament, and then when we get to the New Testament, we will read in its entirety the letter of Jude and we’ll talk about that when we get there. We’re reading from the English Standard Version this week. Hosea chapters 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14 today.

Introduction to the book of Jude:

Okay, now that we are at our New Testament portion for the day, as I mentioned at the beginning, we’re gonna read the entire letter of Jude, which is pretty short, 25 versus. And it wasn't too long ago that we were reading first and second Peter and we may notice as scholars have noticed that second Peter and Jude are fairly similar. And it…it's thought that second Peter is using Jude as a source because of the similarities. It’s not unlike the synoptic Gospels sharing material and stories. So, if this is a true theory, then Jude's letter would then predate second Peter and that would put the letter somewhere maybe in the mid-60s A.D. And that's not the case if the similarities are just like coincidental. Then the letter could go all the way to somewhere near the end of Jude's life and that would prop probably be somewhere around 80 A.D. And that's fascinating and interesting and certainly trying to place these letters and these texts in…in their proper place historically, that's definitely a discipline worth achieving, but there’s probably a more important question, at least for us who are about to read this. Who is Jude? Who is this person? And that has been a question that has been raised throughout the history of the church. It's a question that continues to be examined among scholars to this day. If we move toward what has been the consensus then the majority of traditional scholars agree that the Jew who wrote this letter was the brother of James and the brother of Jesus, which would most definitely give the letter credibility and be a valid explanation for why it was preserved, but we need to remember like James, Jude, the brother of Jesus didn't believe, like he wasn't an apostle. He didn't follow along under Jesus teachings. Even though they were brothers he didn’t believe in Jesus during his ministry. But with a short letter like this there are still some mysteries like, who was this supposed to be read by? Who is this writing to in the first place? Jude says he is writing to all who have been called by God the Father who loves you and keeps you safe in the care of Jesus Christ. So, like that's everybody who believes ever. And, so, we can include ourselves as recipients of this letter, but if the similarities between second Peter and Jude are true, then it's than likely that Jude was writing to the same people, possibly that Peter was writing to, which would be the displaced believers who were fleeing persecution and marginalization, both because of their faith in Jesus, but also those who had been dispersed into exile in generations past. Oddly, it looks like Jude was wanting to send these people an entirely different letter. I mean, he says that. We’ll see that in a minute. But an issue has arisen and he…he writes to address it. And the issue was this false teaching about grace. And what Jude is addressing isn't something that hasn't been addressed in other letters. Basically, that the teaching about grace is that you receive it as a gift. You haven't merited it right. It's unmerited favor that is bestowed upon you by God. And that has always been a core understanding of our Christian faith, right? You can't earn it, it's a gift, it's grace. So, when we’re reading through the letters like James and the letters of Peter and letters of John we see there's an understanding that if you receive this gift, it should transform you and it should transform the way you live your life. And your faith then should be evident in the things that you do. What Jude is addressing here is kind of the opposite of that spectrum, which is basically an understanding that if this grace has been bestowed upon me freely and there is nothing that I can do to ever live into it or live up to it are earn and it's given to me as a gift and nobody can take it away from me then I can do whatever I want with whoever I want whenever I want to do it because sin isn’t a category of my life anymore. God has taken it away so now I can do whatever I want. And Jude is forcefully opposing this concept. Okay, there’s one more thing to note about Jude and it's really not about the text or who Jude was, or when this was or anything like that, it's where it lies in the New Testament. We’re gonna read this entire letter of Jude and this is kind of the end of the letters. And, so, when we conclude our reading today then and…and check it off in the app then we will see, we have concluded another portion of the Bible, the general letters and we will get the general letters badge, which is cool. But that's where we are. We have one more text in the New Testament that will take us to the end of the year and that is a book known as Revelation. And there are letters actually contained within the book of Revelation from Jesus and we’ll read those. But as a category we’re moving into apocalyptic literature and prophecy. And, so, as we read through and conclude Jude today, we will be making the final turn into the final book in the New Testament that will…will carry us forward. So, let's dive in and read in its entirety the letter of Jude.

Prayer:

Father, we thank you for your word. And as we have spoken out loud so many times, we are grateful for the way that it transforms the way we think about things. And when we think about things differently, when we change our minds about things then we realize that we have done exactly what you have invited us into, repentance. Repentance is changing our minds and moving in another direction. And your word continually pulls us forward into all truth and we are grateful for that, deeply, deeply grateful for that. And, so, as we continue through these final weeks of this year and as the pace increases in our lives, but the pace increases in the Bible, we ask for attentiveness for focus for openness. Sometimes when things get so busy it's like we can’t handle another thing and so we start to shut down. And this is one place that we need to remain open, one place that is set aside as a place in community to work through the Scriptures certainly, but as a place that is a constant, an oasis, a place that we can go to to reorient ourselves from the chaos of life. And, so, help us to keep this day by day step-by-step rhythm as we move into the final weeks of the year we pray. In the mighty name of Jesus, we ask. Amen.

So, a couple things Christmas related. Every year we have an annual Christmas party together. It's virtual. It's beautiful, it's moving. We’ll collect these for a week and compile them together and then Jill and I normally get together and have a conversation about the year, the year that we’re leaving and about our sense of the year that we’re going into next year and just talk a little bit about that. And then we hear from each other, all of the greetings from all over the world and we are just immediately reminded of this thing that we got to be a part of, this beautiful thing called the Daily Audio Bible around the Global Campfire. So, today's the day we start. Probably since the end of October I have been putting on the Prayer Wall and on Facebook and had called in about my dad who was ill and we didn’t know if you really understood salvation and we were praying he would make it to his 95th birthday which is Monday. And he did and was surrounded by family and it was beautiful. And he went to be with the Lord last evening, December 2nd. And I just wanted to thank you all for your prayers. I’m a father too and I faced some health issues with my…with my son, both of my sons actually from time to time but from a father to a father Harold I am praying for your son Jonathan, that the Lord will save his foot and ultimately __ him of the issues he’s facing with his diabetes. I Have 15 ideas To Change Your Life. Do you Have 5 Minutes?

I’m the last person to say that life is easy. I don’t think that’s the case at all. But there’s one thing I’ve learned in recent years that changed everything.

The way you THINK determines the outcome of your life. But thinking is hard. That’s why we don’t do it often enough. Helen Keller said it best:

“People don’t like to think, if one thinks, one must reachconclusions. Conclusions are not always pleasant.”

I’ll show you 15 thoughts about life that will forever transform the way you live. Ready? Let’s go.

1: Think big, act small

Want to build a big company? Change people’s lives? Make a contribution to the world? Earn a million bucks?

Never let anything hold you back when you think of ideas.

“It’s too difficult.”

“Other people are already doing it.”

So what? You might as well aim high. You’ve got nothing to lose. Just make sure you act small. Put in the work and stay practical. All you need is one big win anyway. But when you aim low, the outcome is always low.

2: Problems are unanswered questions

I don’t get why people freak out when they encounter a problem. “This is the worst thing ever!” Every time you experience stress over a problem, you’re basically sabotaging your life. It’s completely unnecessary to ever freak out.

Remember this: A problem is nothing but an unanswered question. So stay calm. And figure out the answer.

3: Build relationships on a firm foundation

Here are some wrong reasons to be in a relationship: Money, fear of being alone, abuse, needing attention. If your relationship sucks, and you’ve tried to improve it multiple times, it’s time to move on.

Love has no opposite. When you love someone, you can’t hate them at the same time. The foundation of all relationships should be based on: Love,respect, support, trust, patience, good company, laughter, sadness, and more support.

4: Nothing in life is free

No matter how you spin it, you always pay for something with money, time (the most valuable thing you have), or other resources.

Life is business. And smart business people spend their resources wisely. How? Be calculated. Never waste resources (especially time).

5: Never be afraid of making decisions

You might think that making no decision at all can do no harm, but you’re wrong. The worst thing about making decisions is when you don’t pull the trigger.

Waiting, postponing, doubting, researching too much — it’s all not useful. Get your act together, and decide firmly whenever you have to make one. And when you made the wrong decision, apologize, and make another decision.

6: Decide to become a leader today

Sometimes you’re a leader, sometimes you’re a follower. You can be a leader at work, and a follower at home. There’s nothing wrong with that. And being a leader also has nothing to do with your title.

You know what is wrong? When everyone looks at each other because no one wants to take responsibility. Decide that you will take responsibility. There you go: You’re a leader now.

7: Productivity yields results

There’s only one thing that helps you to go from nothing to something: Work.I don’t care how smart you work, you still have to put in the work.

Just make sure you value effectiveness over everything. Results matter. Get things done and move on to the next thing.

8: See yourself as a salesperson

Everyone is a salesperson. When you’re dating, you’re selling yourself. Same is true when you’re applying for a job.

When you sell, be transparent, honest, and to the point. Don’t waste your time on people who don’t like you anyway. Sales is not about how many people don’t want you or your product. It’s about finding the people who do.

9: If you want to improve your self-confidence, improve your skills

If you don’t believe in yourself, don’t try to search for it in motivational posts, talks, or books.

You only improve your self-confidence by becoming good at something. How do you get good? By learning, doing, seeing results, and repeating that process for years. Your confidence will grow slowly every day.

10: Value your friends

We’re social animals. When we’re alone, we die early. You might think you don’t need friends, but you do. So be nice to each other. And respect that your friends also have lives of their own.

Especially when you grow older, and have more responsibilities (and less time). Things change. People also change. But the connection stays.

11: Don’t believe everything you see

We live in a “Look at me! Look at me!” world. Everyone wants to be famous and they do everything to keep up appearances.

Don’t believe all the success stories you see everywhere. YouTubers, Instagram models, millionaire entrepreneurs: They seem perfect. But you only see the outside. You don’t have to be a cynic. Just don’t take appearances for facts.

12: Learn to love criticism

When someone takes the time to give you criticism, you should be thankful.Why? It’s fuel for you.

You can use criticism to improve yourself, your product, or your service. Or, if the criticism makes no sense, it can make you angry, which is also a good thing. That type of anger is useful. “I’ll show them!”

Never be a wimp. Take criticism like a champ.

13: If you can’t take care of your body, you can’t take care of anything

Whether you like it or not, you don’t fully control your health. You can only influence it by eating healthy, exercising, and not using your body as a toilet.

Just get off your ass and get moving, you lazy mofo. And I’m not talking about keeping it up for a few days. No, do it every single day of your healthy life.Because if you can’t do that, what can you do? See it as practice for the difficult times of life because the stronger you are, the better.

14: Happiness is a choice

You control your thoughts. That means you decide what you do with your life.If you’re unsatisfied, angry, or frustrated, that’s all you.

I always thought: “I can never be happy. I need to be rich, own a fancy car, and buy a big house.”

But I was thinking all wrong. You can be happy with your current life. All it takes is a decision. And when it improves, you’ll still be happy.

15: Create something

When you create something (doesn’t matter what it is), you’re actively doing something. You either solve a problem or entertain people.

So instead of consuming so much information, products, and entertainment from others, spend a fraction of that time on creating something yourself. You don’t have to create something by yourself, you can also do it with others.

No matter what you do: Make yourself useful.

So don’t just sit there and read another article; go out and do something.

The Journey Begins . . .

So what is this journey all about?

I am Terry Jenkins, a father of 4 grown-up children, now living with my partner and her teenage son, in the north-east of England.

I am a full-time carer for my partner, Andie, and at the time of starting this journey (September 2020), living off government benefits.

I am on benefits because I have to care for Andie throughout the day, which means I don’t have the time to have a job.

Having previously run a myriad of self-employed ventures and having 25 years of experience in the IT industry (plus I have also lectured in IT for a brief period in the not-so-distant past), being on benefits doesn’t come easy to me.

The Journey Begins

So having cared for Andie for a couple of years now, I feel the time is right for me to venture back into the world of self-employment and see if I can ease the government of the burden of looking after us.

Now, some days, time isn’t always easy to find if Andie is having a rough time of it. Her condition means I get to do most of the stuff around the house, which limits my available time.

Nevertheless, I do have time across the day and find myself on the computer a lot (old habits die hard), especially in the afternoons and evenings.

So I got to thinking that maybe I could start earning some cash, as I do detest being on benefits. I don’t have any problem with people who are on benefits, but I have worked all my life and am not one for just sitting around and relaxing. If you see me on the beach, I’m the one typing on the laptop!

Mapping Out The Journey

So, coming off benefits – how do I do it?

Well, it was obvious that I couldn’t do anything that took me out of the house and the ad hoc nature of my caring duties meant I couldn’t really have clients if I wanted to offer them the service I would expect. So my only option was to build a business making money online.

In some ways this decision was obvious. When I gave up my bricks and mortar business back in 2014 I spent a lot of time doing self-development training and studying internet marketing, affiliate marketing, and even a touch of network marketing.

Even during my first 2 years of caring for Andie, I still watched the odd training course or YouTube video to keep up with the latest trends online.

In those 6 years after giving up my Post Office and shop, I had come a long way in my personal development and I knew a bit about making money online.

The Journey Of A Wise Man?

Now I’m no fool, I know the majority of people do not make a go of making money online. If you don’t believe me, look up the figures. It’s a very small percentage of people who build a good income online.

But my goals aren’t massive. I am not looking to buy an 8-bed mansion and drive a Ferrari. For one thing, it’s not really my style. Nevertheless, I did want to replace the income we are getting on benefits, plus a little more to make life more comfortable (for Andie more than myself).

So I set myself 2 goals. One for 90 days and one for 12 months.

You see, I am 60 in October 2021, so I have roughly 13 months before I start to get the pensions I built up when I was younger.

So my first goal was to ensure the business was self-sufficient by the end of 2020. The second goal was to be earning around £2700 per month (around $3000) by October 2021.

Allowing 1 month (September 2020) to get everything in place to run the business, meant these targets nicely fitted the 90-day and 12-month time slots.

How Much Is A Ticket?

As for the start-up budget, being on benefits for so long doesn’t leave a lot of elbow room, but using other knowledge I had (more on this later), I managed to have a little tax-free start-up money to invest in the business.

This start-up budget would pay for training courses and other packages (hosting, domain names, autoresponders, etc) to ensure I had the knowledge and digital assets I needed to succeed.

So how does this journey touch your life I hear you say? Well, my aim is to journal my journey as I go, sharing my experiences and my financial statements.

I also want to help others who want to tackle the same journey by providing training and information along the way.

I also want to provide honest reviews of training and other products in the Internet Marketing arena. There are a plethora of reviews out there for these products, which get released daily. These reviews all have one thing in mind, to get you to buy using their affiliate link, so they can make money from your purchase.

Now don’t get me wrong, I will be doing affiliate marketing, but I will only recommend products I intend on buying and using myself or products I would purchase if I didn’t already have something to do the job.

I am fully expectant that most of my reviews will say ‘don’t buy’.

Looking In The Rear-View Mirror

I have recently been going through the myriad of training and online tools I purchased since 2014 (Google ‘Shiny Object Syndrome’), mainly because a lot of them were registered against an email I no longer use. The domain is coming up for re-registration and I don’t want to pay for it anymore, so I wanted to change the registered email address.

I was absolutely shocked by how many of these products no longer exist!

Many of the domain names they were registered against are now available to purchase again.

In Internet Marketing, a lifetime account means absolutely nothing. I was appalled by how many of these purchases were a total waste of money and I was thankful I hadn’t built a business reliant on using any of them.

I was also shocked that some ‘Lifetime Membership’ offers I had bought still existed, but they had changed the domain name (from .net to .com in some instances) and if you wanted the latest access you needed to repurchase another lifetime account – go figure.

These weren’t inexpensive purchases either. We are taking multiple hundreds of dollars for the original purchase and a similar figure to purchase another ‘lifetime’ access. This second purchase would give you what you laughingly assumed you had purchased the first time around.

Plus, I was shocked by the ‘Internet Gurus’ who had undertaken this shady practice.

These were people I had previously trusted and looked up to!

Anyway, I am starting to rant now and that is never a good thing (hide the sharp knives).

Fortunately, I did discover a decent amount of good quality tools and training I can use in my new venture. Plus, I have good experience of whom to trust and whom not to trust with my money.

*didn’t take fifteen days. not even five.

the challenge <<<

anyways, decided to finally get around to this bad boy that i reblogged like a week ago or smth. our toon of choice for this one is our darling darth tri’ama amarillis-quinn.

1. PROLOGUE. Where was your OC before the class story? How’d they end up on the starter planet?

Tri’ama was born pure Kaasian (or so she assumes) to two unknown humans. There’s evidence there was another child born to her parents, making Tri’ama a twin to someone but she isn’t aware who. Adopted by two Sith Pureblood Lords, Raegia and Yusaits Amarillis, Tri’ama was raised rather well at the height of power. She had always been destined for Korriban, and routinely trained with her parents.

2. FAMILY. Is your OC’s family a large part of their story? Why or why not? Are they on good terms? Are any of your characters related?

Tri’ama’s parents have always been her biggest supporters, but were always very withdrawn with their loving. Often their childrearing would be considered extremely odd, from the violent training and the fact they’d continually push her past her physical boundaries. However, Raegia and Yusaits were careful to allow her to grow close to them, so they’re always on good terms. Tri’ama is aware that she has a twin, but assumes they were stillborn or abandoned, so doesn’t care much for it. They don’t appear much in story yet, but they will soon.

3. NAME. How did you come up with their name? What is it in-game? What do people call them? What do *you* call them?

Tri’ama was because I was beginning to realize ‘holy crap you can use apostrophes?!!!!’ hence why at least a 1/3 of my characters have an apostrophe somewhere in their name. It’s the same in-game, Tri’ama Amarillis (though I don’t have money for my legacy name). Sometimes Vette calls her ‘sis’ when they’re alone (which she LIVES for), Malavai refers to her as ‘my lord’, ‘my love’ when he’s feeling particularily adventerous, and her name when they’re alone, Jaesa refers to her as Master, Pierce is always ‘my lord’ or ‘my greatness therefore our one and only savior’ if he’s feeling like being annoying (thankfully he has a so-so friendship with her, so he’s in no danger of dying), and half the time she can’t figure what Broonmark is saying. I, call her bitch boy because she’s an asshole to literally everyone else.

4. COMBAT. What’s your character like in a fight? Is there anything you wish they could do in-game that isn’t an option? Favorite in-game moves? How did you decide their specialization?

Tri’ama is chaos and mayhem on wheels, but organized. Everyone has their position and what they have to do, and when things go according to plan, things are wonderful. I think force leap is my favorite thing for Sith Warrior’s and Jedi Knights to do because I love just leaping towards enemies and going to town. I decided her specialization because I really, really like double sabers and the abilities that come with them.

5. WARDROBE. How many outfit slots are filled? Did their look change over the course of the game, or stay consistent?

1. Literally one because I can’t afford to buy anymore. Also because I do more functionality than looks, so it depended on the planet. Whatever a Warrior on Hoth wore, she wore on Hoth. However, fic wise she did, going from having her hair short and slicked back, to having her hair long and around her shoulders during the endgame.

6. HOME. Where is home? A place? A person?

Home is Dromound Kaas, in her old family home. Home is with her parents, with the smell of good food and the quiet nights as the rain patters against the windows and she falls asleep.

7. PLATONIC RELATIONSHIPS. Who are their closest friends? Do they have a lot, or a few? Do they trust easily, or does it take time?

Her closest friend is easily Vette, being the first person who began following her. They have a sisterly relationship, and always has a joke for her when they return to the ship. She’s one of the two people that can get her to laugh (the other being Malavai). She doesn’t have too many friends, being not only a Sith but also being Darth Amarillis. It takes a lot of time for her to trust someone, after being betrayed by not only Baras, but Malavai as well. But, it’s easy to see that those she does trust, are there for her life.

8. ROMANCES. A companion? An NPC? One of your OCs? Someone else’s? Nobody? Explain!

She’s married to Captain Malavai Quinn. Though it’s been a trying relationship (due to his betrayal and her inability to trust), Tri’ama loves him with her whole heart. They spend time together a little more sporadically than either would like, but what they do have, they treasure.

9. RIVALRIES. Who do they hate most? What’s the fastest way for someone to earn their dislike?

Mierrio. Hands down they despise each other mutually and don’t even try to fight their corresponding lovers on it. For a reason that still has yet to be revealed in-universe >:)

10. SLEEP. What are your OC’s sleeping habits like? Healthy? Terrible? With someone else?

Tri’ama actually sleeps rather well at night. She goes to bed when work is done, wakes up and then going back to work. In that way, she didn’t sleep with Malavai for nearly a year after his betrayal (she believes she’s most vulnerable while sleep), but now she can’t do so without him. Other than that, she’s the most well-rested Sith in the roster.

11. CANON DIVERGENCE. Are there parts of their story that don’t line up with in-game information? Why? Where?

Yes. When Baras asks the Sith Warrior whether they know the Sith Code, it’s assumed the PC has no idea what’s going on, and has been rushed into the Sith lifestyle. Tri’ama has been part of the Sith lifestyle since she was adopted by her parents, and of course would know the Sith Code, and what it means to be Sith. She wouldn’t have been rushed to Korriban either, though she was heavily advanced compared to other students and would’ve had no problem murdering Vemrin out of sight of the overseers without the assistance of Baras or Tremel. Other than that, no.

12. AUs. Do you have any alternate universes for them? What’s different? What’s the same?

One AU I have is the Faction Swap AU, where obviously, the characters switch their factions with the opposite class. Tri’ama became a Jedi Knight, which isn’t much different from her usual form, except that she murders less and doesn’t have an Imperial accent. Doc would’ve pissed her off, but she probably would’ve came around eventually, making it very clear that she was the one wearing pants in this relationship. The second AU I have is the Heritage AU, where she and Malavai have an unknown amount of children and...well it’s not written yet. Another AU is the lover swap AU (where I swap the companion lover and the PC’s roles), and Tri’ama would be the one stuck on Balmorra until Malavai arrives. She’s rather suave about how she enjoys her time spent with Baras’ apprentice and is extremely forward. Tri’ama, with her own trust issues, nearly refuses Baras before her life is threatened, and she purposely makes the robots much weaker than they should be.

13. ALIGNMENT. Light-dark, or D&D style, or both, whatever suits you. Did you plan for them to be the way they are, or did your ideas change as you played?

Dark side, mostly. Of course, I didn’t intend for her to be merciful to some characters, but it ended up that way because Malavai was partially light-sided as well and Tri’ama wanted to please him. Her D&D Alignment is Lawful Evil.

14. POST-OSSUS. How have they changed over the course of the thirteen years? How do they feel about their past self? How would their past self feel about them now?

Assuming we’re following my very fractured ‘Made of Star Dust’ universe, Tri’ama has changed because being seperated from the one person that promised to never leave her again, and the person that she trusted most in the whole galaxy snapped something inside her. Some call her the Melancholical Murderer, because she kills due to her own sadness and straining sanity. Things don’t go right back to normal after Malavai and Vette return, and she struggles to trust those in the Alliance as well. While Ezridivia has tried to reach out to her, along with Lana, surprisingly her remaining trust in the Barsen’thor (Naji) and Mierrio. Tri’ama sees her past self as weak, for not being able to deal the killing blow when she should’ve. Her past self would’ve seen this version as insane, and downright scary.

I got bored and filled this out

1) Does your character have siblings or family members in their age group? Which one are they closest with?

No; Essätha is the eldest of four, and does not know her other siblings. The closest sibling in age range to her is in their early twenties, about a decade’s age gap. The closest sibling-like relations she has is with a Tiefling she grew up with back home, who is roughly 5(?) or more years older than her.

2) What is/was your character’s relationship with their mother like?

Hepsiba was supermom and idol to Essie. Essie adored, and still adores, her mom. Hepsiba displayed a constant generous, open-minded, warm attitude that helped to shape a lot of Essie’s values. They got along wonderfully, and even as a youngster Ess’ showed a lot of respect and willingness to listen to her mothers words of wisdom.

3) What is/was your character’s relationship with their father like?

The same as it was as a child as it is now: nonexistent. In Essätha’s heart however, there is a lot of bitterness towards a man who left her and her ailing mother behind, also leaving her to learn little to nothing about him save through stories.

4) Has your character ever witnessed something that fundamentally changed them? If so, does anyone else know?

Oh, plenty. The treatment of her and others like her (Solace, her mother, non-humans automatically defined as ‘evil’ races), the death of her mother, deaths in general (sometimes that she blames on herself), so on. I’m sure some party members have a vague understanding her distance and seclusion is branched off of bad treatment due to her race, for instance. Some folks; like Sol and Kraw, could probably identify quite a few of Essie’s ‘flaws’ and where they steam from. Amon is beginning to learn more and more about some of her ‘quirks’ too.

5) On an average day, what can be found in your character’s pockets?

Lint, spare coins not put in her coin purse, a Green Bean, maybe something sharp and pointy that could be used for lock-picking or stabbing someone’s hand lol. Spare hair ribbon probably too.

7) Does your character have recurring themes in their nightmares?

Huehuehue… Pre-campaign I think Ess’ had more dreams centered around the loss of her mom and people hunting her and/or attacking her, belittling her, blaming her for all the wrong in the world. Some were personal, based off people she ‘failed’, killed, or feel she killed/wronged. Now I’m sure when she has a night terror it’s probably geared more towards the Raven Lord, Alexis’ and the wolves, the assassins breaking in, seeing her party members hurt/troubled, seeing the hurt and fear in Amon’s gaze, seeing him jailed, imagining all the things that could go wrong and losing m’lord… >:3c You know. Normal Nightmare Stuff nothing to be Concerned about.

8) Has your character ever fired a gun? If so, what was their first target?

I’m going to change ‘gun’ to ‘bow’ becuz fantasy. Ess’ is trained in both a regular bow and a crossbow. Her first ever bow-related target outside of hitting a fucking tree was killing a deer, per Kraw’s orders. Lots of tears shed over the damn deer. Lots of tearshed over learning to hunt in general rip my baby.

9) Is your character’s current socioeconomic status different than it was when they were growing up?

Pretty much the same. Money is probably more readily available in Essätha’s life. Pre-campaign likely because of the occasional pick-pocketing. Now becuz she gets paid for kicking butt. Keep it up girl.

10) Does your character feel more comfortable with more clothing, or with less clothing?

Situational based. Weirdly the less you know her, the more exposed Ess’ is willing to be, because, hey, when are you going to see her again? She might be nervous or edgy in crowds but otherwise w/e man. A lil more skin sometimes gets the gurl you know what I’m sayin’…. The more acquainted she is with someone, the more she fears ridicule, staring, judgment, and the more she wants to hide herself. Give her lots of time to gain confidence, and build trust, and she’d probably be okay being naked around you… so long as you aren’t obviously oogling her. Unless you’ve ahem, earned that level of faith from her where she wants your eyes on her.

11) In what situation was your character the most afraid they’ve ever been?

I would say there’s four instances that stand out the most. One, the first night alone as a toddler after her mother passed away. Two, her first murder, in which she thought she was going to die therefore killed in self-defense. Three, learning that the Raven Lord is probably some kind of god or demi-god being seeing how they killed the Master Arcanist. And four… ‘Not him. You can’t take him.’ …Use your imagination.

12) In what situation was your character the most calm they’ve ever been?

As a babe, listening to mom sing her to sleep… and at night, in Amon’s arms, when all hope feels lost and then they snuggle up and it just… it’s okay. They can deal with it tomorrow, one step at a time.

13) Is your character bothered by the sight of blood? If so, in what way?

No. She’s a lady of course not asdjgakl -

14) Does your character remember names or faces easier?

I’m gonna say faces, she seems more ‘creative inclined’ than ‘analytic inclined’.

15) Is your character preoccupied with money or material possession? Why or why not?

Yes! But less so then she thinks. Due to a life of lacking these things, Essätha thinks owning lots of fancy, expensive things will fill a void inside her. She also believes having money and a big house will give her a sign she’s ‘made it’; that she’s secure, that she’s above what everyone says about her… At the same time, fearing it, because of the additional ridicule it may bring (“ah, a Yuan-Ti Pureblood with riches and power?? Must be after Something.”)

16) Which does your character idealize most: happiness or success?

Happiness. It’s quite literally her dream. Sadly as stated above, she grew up thinking happiness was linked to the things you own but mm… she may be learning differently…

17) What was your character’s favorite toy as a child?

Mr. Hiss!! It was a homemade stuffed snake toy; couldn’t be more than a couple inches made of spare materials her mom had, and button eyes. She played with that thing till it was limp of stuffing, soiled, and raggedy but sadly a bratty kid tossed it into the town’s river so… no more Mr. Hiss. :( She’d have kept that toy all her life otherwise because it was so precious to her.

18) Is your character more likely to admire wisdom, or ambition in others?

Ambition. Because you can be ambitious to do a lot of things; become wiser, become stronger, become kinder. Being wise is cool, but having the drive to become more is sexy.

19) What is your character’s biggest relationship flaw? Has this flaw destroyed relationships for them before?

I’d say an inability to trust or commit. In terms of romantic relationships, she’s never held a significant one; mostly one-night stands or brief flings for a while before moving on; never wanted anything more than that. In terms of making friends, oh yeah. Being unwilling to open up or fully engage herself into the relationship has made people weary of her, her motives, and in turn close off from her. If you’re too scared to meet others half-way, eventually they give up on you.

20) In what ways does your character compare themselves to others? Do they do this for the sake of self-validation, or self-criticism?

In every way; looks, intelligence, status, etc. Mostly she does this as a way to degrade herself. ‘Oh she’s beautiful, and no awkward scaly patches’. ‘I shouldn’t have bothered speaking up, they clearly knows more on this subject.’ ‘Whoop look at the poor girl in rags compared to these guys Yikes-’. When she’s feeling Snobby and Righteous she might do it for the sake of validating her stance; such as being Right and making someone look stupid so she can gloat and grin smugly at them. More often then not though, she compares herself to make herself feel Worse.

21) If something tragic or negative happens to your character, do they believe they may have caused or deserved it, or are they quick to blame others?

Essätha is the Absol pokemon. If bad things occur, it is she who brought the rain, the drought, the heartache, the doubt, the misery. She’s a magnet for bad things and bad omens. It’s somehow her fault; something she said, or did, or a past mistake came back to haunt her and she screwed up, again.

22) What does your character like in other people?

Ooof, lol, well kind, gentle souls. People who have the ability to grow. Natural nurturers. Those who can be strong for others. Those strong in general; solid, comforting, in the ways that matter. Non-prejudice. Physically she’s got varied tastes; from thick and juicy to lean and swift.

23) What does your character dislike in other people?

Cruelty, judgment, those who take advantage of others, aka ugly on the inside. Physically she’s not into unhygienic individuals, doesn’t typically go for super scrawny or so many muscles they look like they’re in a constant flex.

24) How quick is your character to trust someone else?

To put it simply, given the chance, no one in the Hand of Jubata/Noisy Bastards would have found out she’s a Yuan-Ti until a super-necessary moment; or years later, if ever. She’s always hesitant to put trust into others. But she wants to believe the best outta people so if it comes down to basic trust and not trusting someone with secrets about her, she might be willing to give them the benefit of the doubt (unless she gets a Bad Insight off them).

25) How quick is your character to suspect someone else? Does this change if they are close with that person?

Pre-campaign she was just edgy and distrustful. Now during campaign, anyone could be part of those Whispered Shadow cult, so she suspects 50% of this continent at least is out to murder them. If she’s close with the individual, she’s more likely to deny it depending on likability-level. For example, if we found out Barnabus was part of this deranged group, she’d outright be like, “this information is false that sweet man??? I do not think so. You are Wrong.”

26) How does your character behave around children?

Essie loves kids. How she acts depends on their personality; she’s always careful, and soft, and endearing but if they’re shy, she understands they might want more space. If they’re eager and active, she’s even more bubbly and willing to play with them. Mom Genes(TM).

27) How does your character normally deal with confrontation?

Time to talk her way out of this shit and either help this person learn to amend their lives or talk them down. If you’re clearly a bad person, or she can’t change you’re mind, she’s willing to whoop your ass. Rather avoid it if possible though unless you’re a truly bad person.

28) How quick or slow is your character to resort to physical violence in a confrontation?

*gestures @ the campaign* dis bitch has tried or talked the group out of so many fights so??? Pretty slow.

29) What did your character dream of being or doing as a child? Did that dream come true?

I don’t think Essie had a ‘dream job’; she probably just wanted stability, some place to call her own, happiness, simplicity, life to be ‘normal’. That dream... really has not been achieved.

30) What does your character find repulsive or disgusting?

Lack of hygiene. Certain foods probs like liver and onions. Rotted corpses obviously. Chewing with mouth open. Idk, things normally others find gross?

31) Describe a scenario in which your character feels most comfortable.

She’s laying in a large, soft bed with oversized pillows and a dense, warm comforter draped over her. There’s arms wrapped around her. The blanket smells familiar; like leather and pine and a hint of rosewater. She wiggles around in the sheets; can feel another body shift as well to get in a better spot. There’s warm breath on the back of her neck, and a solid shape to her back keeping her warm. It’s safe here. Goosebumps race up her arms. She thinks she’ll take a nap. She can feel the calluses on fingers tracing over the back of her hand, then her palm, until they find the spaces between her own. It’s amazing how beautiful and calm the world can be. Time seems to stop here. Everything will be okay.

32) Describe a scenario in which your character feels most uncomfortable.

She is herself but not herself. She can pick up more acutely the ever; the scents, the vibrations in the air, it’s more intense. She can taste the fear in the air; the hate, the disgust. Her movements are jerky; slithering, the scales on her body a different texture moving over dirt and grass. They are judging her. They are sickened. She can see the look in their eyes, and she is exposed. She is a disgusting creature. The only thing to belittle herself more is to change back; naked, small. They know. They all know. She can’t imagine the way he’s looking at her; too scared to check and see. He would never look at her the same.

33) In the face of criticism, is your character defensive, self-deprecating, or willing to improve?

I feel it really depends on what she’s being criticized for. I want to say in most cases she’s probably embarrassed and/or humiliated, but willing to listen. She may openly self-deprecate and still request they express how she can do better. I feel she mostly gets defensive around people she doesn’t respect and whose criticism then wouldn’t matter; or around topics she feels she knows more about (or definitely knows more about) and she’s offended they suggest she does not.

34) Is your character more likely to keep trying a solution/method that didn’t work the first time, or immediately move on to a different solution/method?

If there’s no ‘time crunch’, she may try the same method a second time before moving on to a different tactic. If it’s a panicked or life-risked situation, and the first method doesn’t work, immediately move on to idea two.

35) How does your character behave around people they like?

Bubbly, excitable, warm and affectionate. She can be stubborn and grumpy still, but for the most part she tends to wear her heart more openly and be more wild and teasing.

36) How does your character behave around people they dislike?

Closed up, silent-treatment, narrowed eyes, huffy, clipped phrases, crude, hissy. Typically she’s a bit bitchy and waiting for an out to get away from you.

37) Is your character more concerned with defending their honor, or protecting their status?

Considering she has little status at the moment, probably her honor.

38) Is your character more likely to remove a problem/threat, or remove themselves from a problem/threat?

Essätha removes problems/threats… even if that problem/threat is herself.

39) Has your character ever been bitten by an animal? How were they affected (or unaffected)?

This is such a were-creature questions HEH uhh, I would not doubt Essie has been bitten by an animal before. Largely she probably forgives the critter and its species. It’s probably her own fault she got bitten after all and she realizes that.

40) How does your character treat people in service jobs?

Respect! If she sees you treatin’ a service job employee like trash you’re garbage to her. Those are hard working people trying to make a living whomst the fuck are you?

41) Does your character feel that they deserve to have what they want, whether it be material or abstract, or do they feel they must earn it first?

Pardon my hyena laughter but, Essätha doesn’t feel like she deserves much of anything. She certainly hasn’t earned to have what she wants. Maybe in time she’ll grow up a bit and learn it’s okay to have things; material or abstract, without feeling guilty or burdened. I’m sure at that time she’d feel she must earn it first.

42) Has your character ever had a parental figure who was not related to them?

*stares @ Kraw, Abernathy, Barnabus, etc* She seems to pick up plenty of Those.

43) Has your character ever had a dependent figure who was not related to them?

Mmm, I’m sure she’s temporarily looked after a younger person or taught someone here or there, yeah. Not for a significant span of time (not to say she probably hasn’t left a positive impact on others that haven’t forgotten her though).

44) How easy or difficult is it for your character to say “I love you?” Can they say it without meaning it?

Oh ho ho ho~ I don’t think Ess’ has said that phrase to more than two people her whole life. It’s definitely not something she could say without meaning to. I can imagine her trying to say it to persuade someone to do something she wants but she just stands there, tongue-tied, unable to do so. It’s just three words, but it’s three very powerful words that can do a lot of good or evil. She wouldn’t want to abuse them or, make people lose faith in them (likeshehascoughs). She doesn’t want people to conceive her as a liar for misusing it before. She wants to be able to say it with heart, conviction, and certainty to someone she truly cares for… if she could ever work up the courage to do so.

45) What does your character believe will happen to them after they die? Does this belief scare them?

I’ll admit: the afterlife isn’t probably something Essie thinks of often. I’d have to say believes in a heavenly ream, and hopes it will welcome her. I do believe she’s scared though because of her race, or any blemishes in her life she’s caused, that she fears she’s already got a one way ticket to hell.
