Because we'd all like to know why she turned up there, out of the blue, and ABC isn't saying...

"So Chimney's feeling a bit better, now that the meds have kicked in, and he wants to get married right away," Eddie tells Christopher and his abuela as he tucks his phone back into his pocket. "Like, in an hour."

"In the hospital?" Chris asks. "Is that allowed?"

Eddie laughs. "I'd like to see anyone try to stop them now. Or Bobby. He told us he's always wanted to officiate a wedding as a fire captain. He's not about to miss his chance."

"Well, I guess we should be going then." Abuela holds out her hand to Eddie, so he can help her get up from the couch. "You don't want to be late for the wedding. Twice."

"Very funny," Eddie says. "We'll drop you off at Pepa's house, if that's what you want, but you know you're welcome to make yourself at home here. We won't be gone long. And they'll probably kick us out when visiting hours end, anyway."

"No, no, Eddito. I'd like to come with you to the hospital."

"You want to come to the wedding?"

"As long as your friends don't mind an uninvited guest." Abuela slips her arm through Eddie's and looks up at him with a dreamy smile. "I love weddings. I never turn down the chance to go to one. And at my age, I don't think anyone can begrudge me that."

"Definitely not. I'm sure they'll be happy to have you there." Eddie starts for the door, but stops after only two steps and pivots around. "Abuela, did you... plan your visit to L.A. for this particular weekend for any special reason? Say, a wedding?"

Abuela's eyes sparkle and Christopher muffles a giggle with his hand.

"Maybe I just missed my boys," Abuela says before giving Eddie a wink and dropping her voice to a stage whisper. "Or maybe I had a hunch that this wedding was going to be a special one."

"If by special, you mean cramming into a hospital room with no food or music, you'd be right."

"Oh, mijo, don't you think I know how things always seem to go for you and your friends? Never have I known a group of people with such topsy-turvy lives. Cruise ship sinks. Girlfriends move in, girlfriends move out. They should make a telenovela about you all."

Eddie huffs a grudging laugh. "I suppose we should be happy there wasn't an earthquake today, on top of everything else."

"It's not too late," Chris sings. "They're not married yet!"

"Okay, okay," Eddie groans, ushering them both towards the door. "Let's go, Díaz family."

Abuela claps her hands. "To the wedding!"

Info about the AU under the cut

Mystic's Coffee House is run by a mysterious person, Mystic. That's it, just Mystic. Stage name? Maybe. They're a very popular, high-status coffee shop, and Narinder is essentially the manager at this point.

Narinder, who was disowned by his family at only 17 years old following a huge fight/accident, began working at Mystic just a year or two after. He never finished high school and was homeless at the time, and Mystic took one look at him and decided, yeah, that looks like an employee right there. Is Mystic aware that Narinder is a Bishop, a very famous, very rich family that has so many brands and trademarks under their name that they may as well own half the country? Probably, Mystic knows Narinder's real name after all. But his nametag simply says;

Nari.

Nari is a single father by technicality only; Forneus is a very good friend that he met a bit after being disowned and kicked out, and in the beginning they mistook fondness/kindness as attraction and had a brief relationship. They mutually decided that they only loved each other as friends, but the twins Aym and Baal were born shortly after they broke up, and while they have a very healthy coparenting relationship, Forneus is often away on business trips as she runs a shop all her own. Narinder took over primary custody. Aym and Baal have Forneus' surname, and do not hold the Bishop name (a choice Narinder insisted on).

Aym and Baal are now seven years old and entering the second grade, and their teacher is Mz. Lamb, whose first name is... mysteriously missing. Lamb is a regular at Mystic's and has a huge puppy-crush on Narinder (they think he's cute), though Narinder only knows them as "the weird sheep who tried to ask for my number as soon as they saw me." Everything kinda changes after Aym and Baal enter Lamb's class, as Lamb realizes Narinder bears a striking resemblance to the rambunctious twins and strikes up a conversation about them, and Narinder will NOT pass up a chance to talk about his children.

And thus a friendship is born, which will very quickly snowball into something more.

Lamb believes in living life to the fullest and expresses themself however they feel, they'll go from suits and ties to hoodies to off-shoulder shirts to dresses and they will THRIVE with it. This is their life philosophy; live life to the fullest, and go to the Beyond without regrets. Live enough for your lost loved ones, too.

Narinder and Lamb both know sign language, Narinder bc he grew up using it to communicate with family, Lamb bc after an... accident they were unable to speak for several years. Lamb still has "mute days" and Nari signs as he speaks, a habit he hasn't broken in the ~10 years since he was disowned.

Ummmm I can't think of anything else it's way too late/early but that is the gist of it (without getting into the Bishops themselves). Also they end up getting married, and Aym and Baal 1000% take credit for getting them together.

"Hey pops, remember how dad rejected you when you first met?" "Hey Aym, remember when you dropped the ring and it rolled down the vent in the middle of our wedding." "... I was ten-"

MLP Rewrite AU - Forgotten Friendship (if you didn't do it already)

OKAY SO UH

I absolutely rewrote this as a whole Thing in the universe and a chunk of things got changed so let's go over those before I get deep into the actual rewrite

1.) I had a separate fic in the AU where Sunset went back to Equestria and talked to Celestia already. Though it /was/ unfinished I remember most of my plans for it? So I skipped that here.

2.) Clover and the Memory Stone..... Clover already had completely different Lore surrounding her, both in-canon and thanks to my 'Hearth's Warming Cover Up' conspiracy theory, and the Memory Stone gave me a plothole headache. So I scrapped both.

3.) I made Wallflower's motivations a touch more relatable and out of her control.

4.) Unfortunately no Trixie in this but I've had fun with her elsewhere and should probably write her into something else lmao

SO ANYWAY

When Sunset gets to the beach and realizes no one remembers her having become their friend, she does manage to out-logic them. Pointing out inconsistencies and where they /should/ remember her being there because, looking into their memory, she's just erased out but not replaced well.

The biggest one being asking how they contacted Twilight when the Sirens were causing problems. The group pauses for a moment, but realizes that there was a journal but they can't remember where they got it. Sunset pulls out said journal, which gets them to listen a bit more.

She asks what they remember about the friendship games, to which Sci-Twi mentions remembering Sunset yelling at her for disrupting the games with portals. She says that it was harsh, but considering the whole event could've hurt her since it knocked her off the motorbike she understands in hindsight.

The rest of the group are like 'wait, what?' because they don't remember Sunset being in the games and couldn't fathom 'mean bully Sunset' being part of the games with them. But when asked who was paired with Rainbow for the motocross portion of the games, no one remembers. Except Sci-Twi, who says it was Sunset.

Sunset tests this and prompts further with- okay so I had a Thing™ in my rewrites that in the previous school year Pinkie and Sunset had been in the school play together. So as an inside joke they casually quote their lines at one another. Sunset kicks the habit off, reciting one of her lines. Pinkie answers, but stops. Her mind trying to remember, but all she can see is herself alone on stage, reading lines to no one.

Pinkie is Not Handling This Well™ and has dropped into straight hair mode and is hugging the fuck out of Sunset at this point. She forgot a friend! How dare she forget a friend?!

She asks them about after the games, because I had a fic re: finding Sunset's Human counterpart. And they remember her, but why would they look for her without prompting from their Sunset?

Sunset tests how far this goes by calling Flash. Just to see if it's an 'everyone' or a 'just the main characters' thing. He also doesn't remember making up with her. But with a little prompting of 'who gave you a sword for Christmas'(long story lmao), she gets him to listen. And he thinks about it more and says he remembers everything from when they 'broke up' and were fighting, but nothing about their friendship before that. Even though they would've been friends and hanging out before the 'break up', right?

Okay I'm going on a tangent trying to set up how the memory thing works lmao but anyway

The Rainbooms decide that they need more help than this and decide to talk to Princess Twilight about it. This includes everyone going through the portal because they're freaked and paranoid they'll forget again! (will be using 'Twilight' for pony and Sci-Twi for Human for now)

After some shenanigans of most of them getting used to Horse Mode™, Twilight does some prodding and questioning and experimenting. She actually /does/ know a spell that might cause this, but it's one she's not an expert on. Thankfully she can just do a quick teleport across town and grab someone who knows the spell a lot more.

Rarity my darling it's time for you to shine!

After quickly updating her, Twilight suggests that it may be the spell she used on the chandelier. Which Rairty agrees.

She elaborates, saying she had found the spell in a book up in the Crystal Empire. Technically it's a Crystal Pony spell, but Unicorns can replicate other Magics.

Anyway: The spell is used to copy a memory into a gemstone. She used this to make the tree root chandelier that's in the Castle of Friendship. There was a chunk of trial and error as she got the spell right. She gives examples of what went wrong, like her initial trials on Rainbow volunteering 'erase my memory of the Daring Do books so I can read them for the first time again'. Sometimes it erased her memory of the books, sometimes it erased her memory of the pony. The spell is even specific enough to differentiate different 'versions' of someone, such as 'Twilight as a Unicorn' vs. 'Twilight as an Alicorn'.

Now, the spell isn't /supposed/ to erase memories, just make a copy. But it can fuck up and erase. And unfortunately, Rarity can't reverse the spell without having whatever gemstone holds the memories.

Ofc this means they have to figure out who did this! Clearly since more Humans are getting their Pony Magics, it should be a counterpart to a Unicorn or Crystal Pony. They just have to figure out who. Rarity muses that, as the spell is an incomplete version, it's likely they tested it out and had it backfire on them a lot. Backfired spells can cause low-energy and even some pain, but also it means the person may have accidentally erased memories of themselves.

They go back to the Human World, leaving Twilight and Rarity in Equestria and keeping them updated in case something goes wrong, and decide to flip through the previous year's yearbook to look for someone they don't remember. Pinkie eventually points out Wallflower, and everyone knows that Pinkie's memory for people is very good so if she doesn't remember....

They lure Wallflower to the school gardens, and Sunset does the memory dive to look into it. She sees that Wallflower had been accidentally activating the spell, erasing herself from people's memory. Had been getting more and more hurt from the unfinished spell. But since she didn't know how to fix it, why not use it?

This causes a bit of a fight because Sunset's like 'the FUCK do you have against me?!' and Wallflower yells back about how it's unfair that someone like Sunset can just 'be nice' after so much meanness and get super popular while people like Wallflower who were always nice get entirely forgotten.

Pinkie calls her out on this of like 'hey! I consider you a friend why not come to me!'. Wallflower is very cynical on this because Pinkie considers everyone a friend but there's no way in hell she knows /everyone/ as intimately as a friend should. Which, yeah, Pinkie can do some wild shit but there's people she's closer to than others. But she's always open to being closer to someone! Or to helping someone out, including helping them find someone they may find a true friendship in! Wallflower still could've come to her!

Wallflower is starting to see that she fucked up, but she can't return their memories of Sunset. She doesn't know how. So she does the one thing she thinks she can do, give them a fresh start!

Ofc Sunset tries to block this and gets hit and. well.

It erased memory of the 'Human-esque' Sunset. Which means, as far as Sunset's aware, she just ran through the portal after her fight with Celestia and is mid-breakdown.

Not a fun experience!

Sunset has no idea what's going on. All the others are mad at Wallflower. They try to fix it and explain that there should be a gemstone. Wallflower offers her necklace but.... there's nothing in it. No memories, no Magic whatsoever.

Sunset is VERY confused but trying to help. the others are getting more upset and worried because 'oh shit she doesn't remember jack shit of the last six years and we still don't know how to fix it!!

But since they tell Wallflower to stop zapping everyone goddamn it they drag the Pony!Twilight and Rarity over to try and fix this shit.

Wallflower: "Oh god I'm sorry I don't deserve friends after all I've done how could anyone ever forgive the awful things I did???"

The Rainbooms+2: "Well. You didn't try destroying the world so you're really not even in the top 10 of wildest people we've befriended. Also we may have a Problem™."

Anyway! Rarity manages to figure out what crystal the Memories are hiding in! They're hiding in Wallflower herself. Crystal Pony bodies mimic crystals/gems so they can do the same thing.

Now knowing where the Memories are, Rarity can channel the spell and return the memories to where they should be.

Sunset and Wallflower get to talk for a bit about Hey That Was Fucked™.

But also like. Sunset knows what it's like to be alone. She left her home when she was still a kid, and wound up in a whole other dimension. One where, even if she makes some friends, she could never fully befirend them because she couldn't tell them /what/ exactly she was. It's different now, but she'd faced that before. She knows lonliness.

And Wallflower feels guilty because she never really put together how alone Sunset was. Thought she'd just skated by so easily in the friends department.

And Sunset helps her realize that there's more to friendship than just kindness. Being nice helps, of course. But you need to reach out. You need to put in an effort.

But at the same time, everyone you meet holds the potential to become your best friend.

Jun: (And in the end, nothing changed one bit.)

(Every last thing was pointless and meaningless, all amounting to nothing.)

(Even though Kazehaya-senpai worked himself to the bone at the cost of his own health, Reimei Academy continues to be a living hell. In fact, it feels like it's just getting worse.)

(With HiMERU as their figurehead, the Special Students have been snatching away work meant for Kazehaya-senpai, and they're living their best lives getting to perform to their hearts' desire.)

(It's plain to see how carried away they're getting. They're all kicking back and laughing, looking entirely too pleased with their success.)

(And to make things worse, they've been treating us Non-Specials even more harshly than before.)

Jun: (It's ironic, really. All Kazehaya-senpai wanted was a future where everyone could live in peace and harmony together.)

(But until a lil' while ago, the Specials were getting their jobs stolen away by the Non-Special gang of the Catacombs)

(So they’re probably hanging onto a grudge over that, ‘cause they've gotten crazy aggressive with us these days.)

(They'll openly curse us out even in front of others, and they even get all rough and violent with us. The hell's the police even doing? This is obviously all kinds of fucked up.)

(The Specials straight up see us as enemies, now.)

(They treated us like servants in the past, but now they treat us like literal vermin. Like it's a given they'd wanna crush us underfoot the moment they so much as catch a glimpse of us.)

(But despite that, weirdly enough, Non-Specials refuse to run.)

(Do they think we're gonna turn the tables on 'em once Kazehaya-senpai recovers and makes his comeback?)

(I don't really hang around the other Non-Specials, so honestly, it beats me what they're thinking...)

(I sure hope they're not getting up to no good, though...)

Jun: (They've been meeting up in the Catacombs just as usual, and it kinda seems like they've got something shady in the works.)

(I'm getting bad vibes from it all... Thanks to Kazehaya-senpai, Non-Specials got to experience what it's like to stand on the stage, even if only for a moment.)

(But then everything changed, and everything they were supposed to have in their hands was stolen away by the Specials.)

Jun: (It was 'cause of Kazehaya-senpai that the Non-Specials came to learn the taste of success, and lots of it. They learned that even without being a Special Student, they could achieve success, and become happy.)

(And that’s why, more than ever, they’ve started to resent the fact that we’ve got these Special and Non-Special labels forced upon us.)

(Non-Specials have started to question Reimei's unreasonable system all over again. Everyone's stress is building up from being forced to follow it.)

(This place is a powder keg waiting to blow and something's gonna set it off any time now.)

(Y'know, HiMERU, once someone realises their hard-earned gains are being stolen away by an intruder, it's only human nature that they'd resent them.)

(That's why Special Students have just gone harder in oppressing us Non-Specials, isn't it?)

(But in the same way, Non-Specials have started to resent them right back. They see 'em as the enemy who kicked them off the stage, and bear a grudge against 'em for that.)

Jun: (Up 'til now, that wasn't how things always were. Sure, we never really liked each other, but it's not like we were straight up enemies.)

(We just saw each other as someone unpleasant who we had to coexist with. Now, however... both sides see the other as a detested enemy.)

(Even though all Kazehaya-senpai wished for was love...)

(The very opposite happened — it was hatred that built up instead.)

(For these two factions, festering with mutual resentment, Reimei Academy is the tiny cage in which they'll face off.)

(This place is a ticking time bomb...)

(And it's gonna go off with a terrible explosion the very first chance it gets.)

(It's a disaster waiting to happen — one that'll blast everything to bits.)

Jun: ......

I was the one who facilitated his rise to the top, after all. In fact, it'd be an issue if he wasn't a household name.

Quick Thoughts on Canto 5

Okay, just finished up Canto 5's latest stage and I've gotta' say this is probably gonna' be one of the better chapters if it keeps going the way it's going. On the tierlist I'd put it between the beginning of Sinclair's chapter and Gregor's in terms of introductions. Now whether this is going to drag as much as Yi Sang's chapter in terms of battles is it something yet known.

Anyway, wanted to condense my thoughts real quick before moving onto other things.

Gameplay

Boy, the eventually Negative Coin Ishmael ID is gonna' kick ass in this chapter whenever they reveal it.

No seriously, the fact that Ish has this crippling of a debuff makes me fume almost as much as Sinclair's story debuff in his chapter. Starting at -35 sanity when all of Ishmael's current IDs are positive coin IDs is just hell on earth. I usually make it a rule to have the starring sinner in all their chapter stages and be in their base ID for thematic effect, but this debuff made me 180 on that rule and at least give myself the ability to pick her IDs. Extra attack power is useless on a character who needs to be at high sanity to function, and Ish has no low sanity IDs yet, so this is either a massive tease to the eventually 3-star ID that'll put Nclair to shame, or just an asshole move by the game developers.

On that note,

Allen X, Before Canto 5 Dropped: "Oh boy, a new Canto, hopefully they'll change up the weakness to finally kill the blunt meta an-" *pirates are weak to blunt*

... ... ...

Seriously, this actually pissed me off a little until the mermaids were weak to Pride, Wrath, and Pierce... just in time for me to spend all my resources buff my blunt IDs to level 40. At least we'll have some time until the next portion of the chapter opens up to start grinding materials for the pierce IDs we got since it seems Mermaids are gonna' be the next big enemy this time around. Still, it's a bit annoying to have a new chapter with the same tired meta IDs putting in the work, at least in terms of damage type.

Also, these fights take a little longer than the other chapters. Maybe that's because I haven't truly maxed out my teams yet, but I just barely got the EX conditions for 5-19, and I had to spam EGO to make that happen. Outis and Yi Sang were a godsend this time around.

Story

I'll save the majority of my thoughts for when I finish reading the full chapter, but so far I've been enjoying the story.

I think this does a better job at giving all the sinners some screentime than others. Already we've got some good development from Rodion, Meursault, Sinclair, Outis, Yi Sang who already had his chapter/spotlight, and even Dante of all people. This has been a real nice treat and gives me hope that more characters than Ishmael will come out of this with some new perspectives and peace of mind.

Speaking of, Ishmael's slow descent into madness is interesting to watch, and unlike most times this happens in other stories it feels like there's some purpose to Ish losing her grip on things aside from the need of story tension and angst. I'm surprised how little I'm annoyed by it all, since this type of arc tends to be really poorly written and only serves to make me hate the character. Maybe it's because characters like Outis and Rodion are actively annoyed and quietly reprimanding Ish respectively, maybe it's Dante actually stepping up as a manager and having some semblance of control over his employees in terms of authority and understanding them. Or maybe I'm just a bit of an Ishmael apologist and I'm willing to let Women's Wrongs™ happen when it's one of my favorite characters, who can really say.

I'm going to keep my deeper thoughts on the plot to myself since the story isn't finished yet, but in terms of my more basic thoughts I looking forward to things.

Pavement - Glad I'm Not Dead

Pavement recently wrapped up a tour of Japan/Australia/New Zealand — and the reunion rolls on, with some festival dates coming up and a residency in Iceland. Not sure if they'll make it out to my neck of the woods in 2023 (who wants to pay for me to go to Iceland though???), but I'd love to catch them again — the Denver show was incredibly fun.

In the meantime, let's dig into this fantastic Anazgnos compilation "personally selected from favorite performances via fan-sourced, freely shared audience recordings." The entire repertoire — 59 songs! — is represented here. What didn't they play this time around? I feel like "Rattled By The Rush" is one of the major missing tunes, but you gotta appreciate that Pavement really dug deep into the catalog this time around.

And hey, as I mentioned last year, I was honored/privileged/shocked to be asked to contribute a little essay to Pavement's official tour program. Since that piece of merch appears to be sold out, here's that little essay ...

“What does it mean, a mistake or two?” Stephen Malkmus asked in the dead center of Slanted and Enchanted, Pavement’s 1992 debut LP. Thirty years later, it still feels like the defining question of the band’s career. From their scratchy early singles to the more polished surfaces of Terror Twilight, Pavement’s albums and live performances were filled with what, for other groups, might be called mistakes. Think of how 1994’s Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain kicks off: a cacophony of jumbled notes, off-kilter rhythms and room noise — all before launching into the majestic preamble of “Silence Kid,” the pieces magically falling into place. Think of how that same LP ends, cutting off abruptly mid-verse, incomplete but somehow completely satisfying. Pavement famously called one of their first EPs Perfect Sound Forever, but perfection was never the point. A mistake (or two) could be just as beautiful.

“Honor thy error as a hidden intention” was one of those semi-mystical koans found in Brian Eno’s legendary Oblique Strategies way back in the 1970s. In some ways, it’s an artist’s “Get Out Of Jail Free” card, saying that an accident can be framed in any he or she likes. But over the course of a decade, intentionally or not, Pavement went even further, building an entire aesthetic identity around finding the meaning in mistakes, in seemingly random lyrical connections, in opposing impulses. After all, this is a band whose breakthrough hit — “Cut Your Hair” — was a song that dealt honestly (and humorously) with the fear of having a breakthrough hit. Contradiction and complexity are the hallmarks of our age — why shouldn’t they be reflected in our music? It might be this tension that keeps Pavement relevant after all these years, with new audiences falling in love with the group, and a hotly anticipated 2022 reunion tour that sees them playing on larger stages than ever before. (Well, that and all the sweet guitar action and impossibly hook-y choruses that send you ba-ba-ba-da-ing into the night.)

“They need to try harder!” complained one of our finest music critics — a cartoon teen known only as Butt-Head — about Pavement. It was a common assertion back in the 1990s, especially when it came to the band’s live shows, with the dreaded “S” word being thrown around liberally. And sure, if you talk to anyone who caught them during their initial run, they’ll tell you about the false-starts and fuckups, the time original drummer Gary Young stopped the show to perform a drunken headstand, or the unpredictable technical difficulties that might have arisen. (True story: the first time I saw Pavement — the Hollywood Palace, September 15, 1994 — curls of ominous smoke began rising from Malkmus’ amp in the middle of the set. It was hard to tell whether SM thought this gear malfunction was frustrating or hilarious. Probably both.) But don’t be misled. Amidst the hijinks, a Pavement gig was, much more often than not, a glorious thing, offering an openness and pure flow that most bands of the era lacked entirely. Here was a rock band that eschewed rock god moves and poses, instead casually inviting fans into a musical universe that could be heavy as a thundercloud or as fun as the most fun day of your life — sometimes within the space of a single song. That welcoming spirit can still be found whenever and wherever Pavement steps onstage. The opening line of “Grave Architecture” said it all: “Come on in.”

April Travel Paintings aka Borahaegas~~ ✨💜🧡 w/ my sister and her husband woohooo~!! 🥰💙💖 We went to the Day 3 concert and other activities related to BTS~ It felt like a BTS festival and I was a little overwhelmed by everything because I only knew a few general things about them at the time, and it was one of the best experiences I've had in 2022. Probably the best live concert experience I've had in my life currently too~ 🕺✨🎶 This took me way longer to finish than I expected (wasn't expecting months to finish this oops) , but then again this is pretty detailed haha I'm amazed I finished the paintings before 2022 ended for me XD I had so much fun working on these ~ 🥺💙 Also this isn't a watercolor sketchbook, I just wanna put all my travel related drawings in one sketchbook... so that could be why it took longer too? XD;

( I'll put some details of the trip and of the paintings/drawings in a read more so this isn't hopefully too long for everyone haha 😅)

The first three pages were done during the trip, while the rest were done throughout a couple of months? Some road trip landscapes and bt21 and attempts to paint while in a car heading back home haha I had an accident with over-flooding my pink posca and that was before the concert lol oops sorry Cooky ( also the gray, but that wasn't as bad as the pink ) thankfully none of it got on anyone, but I did have to clean up the bed weh ;o; It was super windy heading back on Saturday ( my sister and her husband had to head back to help out with wedding stuff for friends ) and it was too hard to paint in a shaking car. I thought we were gonna fly off the road and tumble into the desert haha.

For the 3 1/2 page , I wanted to paint one more road trip landscape and also the Seven Magic Mountains. I only painted one of seven in my last Vegas related trip paintings so I wanted to try painting all of them this time. I haven't actually gotten up close to them yet only seen them while on the road, maybe the next trip to Vegas? haha

Café in the City was very tasty, finally had tteokbokki after craving it for a while, mmm jajangmyeon, and I inhaled that bungeoppang even though I was pretty full :d The drinks were also very good~

The Pop-Up exhibit had lots of photo taking opportunities, I really enjoyed seeing all the music video inspired built sets 🤩 The food and drinks we got after the pop-up were really nice. I decided to put a space background for the My Universe Brownie 🌌

Behind the Stage exhibit was super wonderful, all the behind the scene photos of their practicing to rehearsals to concerts was really cool. Also I accidentally touched one of the photos and I was scared we would get kicked out haha :'0 I also liked the stage playing music videos afterwards and liked the design of the vodka can we got while resting so I painted that too 😆

Bacchanal Buffet was tasty too, though I think I got full much faster than expected and didn't get to try as much food Then we went to the Bellagio Fountains to see if they'll play a BTS song... but they didn't when we went there lol 😂 Then the day of the concert we went to a mall for a pop-up shop and you could write notes to BTS and put them on a wall, it was very cute 💜

Concert time wooo~!! 🎶🧡✨💜 My sister is the one with the Cooky headband, I'm the one in the bucket hat haha. The energy of BTS and ARMY in the concert was super infectious, I had so much fun and that energy was still pulsing in me for a couple of days 🤩 I tried to fit a visual for every song they performed, some were a little easier than others haha If I missed any song, I'm sorry I didn't mean to ;o; I wished I practiced all the fanchants :'D I also wished I had added some other things that happened in the concert, but I wanted to keep it contained in one spread c':

Just ahh... what a super wonderful time overall. ✨🥰 Thanks a bunch to my sister and her husband for inviting me to come along, you're both the best and I love you lots and seeing my sister's happiness about all this was irresistible and made me happy too. Also ARMYs were super kind and nice and gave cute freebies and it was sweet haha ;w; Much love to BTS for bringing so much joy and brightness to my sister and to many others. I already thought positively about them for helping her when she needed it last year, and I'm now so endeared with them and deep dove into their discography and videos and things and they have brought a lot of positivity this year for me haha 🥺💜

If them being able to follow Sanford and Deimos to the strangest of places, then you KNOW you are probably not gonna go far whether your running from them or you've just escaped them.

I feel like they're both VERY skilled at tracking people down. It's not much of a chore when they can find tracks aka they're tracking you down via sightings. You're gonna need to play it safe or you are FUCKED.

You can't trust anybody with the info on your whereabouts and avoid anyone that could see you. Gonna have to move around like Jeb in that one part of Project Nexus if you want to get out and stay out of their grasp but that's not what we're here for.

They ask around, Asking and bribing people if they've seen you. They're also not afraid to use intimidation if it helps jog said persons memory.

They also have all your family and friends ( if they haven't taken them out ) along with your favourite spots / go-to places you'd go to help which is where they start. They had stalked and bribed enough information before they took you or even in some cases, black mail.

They catch up quickly because of this and the combination that is the greedy fucks of Nevada. They might even put out a reward for sightings of you but that's a last resort.

They'll find you at every twist and turn, usually popping up in their usual fashion: Smashing through the nearest barrier between the three of you or just jumping out of nowhere.

Not afraid to harm or hurt you but they make sure to play it out carefully. Usually WILL already somehow incapacitate you from a distance and just play it off as them just finding you and saving your ass from your supposed attacker.

Not against breaking your limbs / popping them out the sockets if it means you can run. Might even debate amputating them so you can't get away again.

Might even get them to stage a kidnapping, basically helpless until they come along. maybe it'll teach you to appreciate them but at least you will definitely have nothing on you to fight back as Church picks you up and throws your over their shoulder. No matter how much you kick and scream.

I think they're with MERC, with their first appearance being before you meet them, so It wouldn't strike me if hey got people who owed them favours to harm you themselves so they can swoop in and proceed to ( pretend to ) beat the shit out of them, taking them out.

Which only works for a couple weeks until you see the same guys that attacked you, hanging around the area with them. Maybe they should give them disguises next time because it'll start getting to you eventually.

You bet your ass your getting punished badly when your " home " with them. Don't except to be left alone ever again. Like ever. Not even the bathroom, you lost those privileges according to them

The worse part though about tracking you down is no matter how much you escape, no matter how high you climb or how low you dig, No matter how far you travel or even if you try hiding in plain sight. They won't rest until they find you and are hellbent on making you theirs. This is just an inconvenience is what they tell each other

They will not stop hunting you for any reason. Not even if the other were to die, might even make them worse since then you're the only thing they have left.

I think the best part of chuuya joining in on the bullying of the subordinate is I would LOVE!!! to see the mental gymnastics thats get him from seeing them as some punkass who needs to be taught their place to being in love w/them.

like dazai? pretty simple. this guy is fun to bully -> theyre kinda hot on top of it -> they make the fatal mistake of being nice to him -> dazai gets overly attached to their kindness on top of everything else -> hes in love! and they love him too, no matter WHAT they say!! why else would they ever show him human kindness? it Must be because they feel the same way!

chuuya im a little less well versed on so forgive me if this is inaccurate but I know FOR A FACT!!! that hes gonna be SUCH a tsundere about the whole thing. will probably amp up how mean he is for a little bit to push it down but he... REALLY can't help it, after a while. maybe they also made the mistake of being nice to Him at some point and they going from being "nice to look at" to "tooth rottingly adorable" in chuuyas head and now they're suddenly all thats ever on his mind.

while I think dazai and chuuya can definitely put their differences aside when their goal is to just kick around this annoying newcomer til it gets boring, but once they shift from sadism to love? I have my doubts.

i feel like dazai's the type to fall hard and fast, but for chuuya it'll probably take more time. i do agree that he'll totally be a tsundere about it (idc if it's canon-compliant i want tsundere chuuya!!!) while for dazai, just one occurrence is enough to send him over the edge, i think that for chuuya it'll probably include an incident where you almost die for him to realize oh this is bad, and eventually, he'll come to the conclusion that you're very much unsafe without him by your side. but unlike dazai, he also won't be as affectionate (at first) and definitely not in public!

generally, even if they come together to bully you as a bonding activity, dazai does not bother trying to make chuuya like you. yes, after he decides he's in love he forces chuuya to back off from "his puppy" and chuuya is horrified to see him just always on top of you and lying down on your lap, but he doesn't care if chuuya likes you too. it might be good if he doesn't, because then he can monopolize your time!

once chuuya finally gets out of the denial stage, he's beyond furious to see that stupid dazai constantly plastered next to you like he was stuck there. how the hell was he going to talk to you with that annoying bastard always right beside you? they'll start fighting more than ever when they realize their feelings, but in a case where you're in trouble, they will work together to save the day! congratulations, you have unintentionally caused soukoku to fall for you. the most destructive duo in the mafia now constantly lurk around you and take turns (meaning whoever gets to you first just stakes claim for the day) in dragging you around by the leash :D but yea generally, very unlikely they'll actually collaborate on this

Penacony part 1 kind of sucked. Despite an attempt at being a thrilling mystery whodunnit, the most surprised I ever got when exploring this place was when I realised a billboard was stalking me.

The second most surprised I got was finding the corpse in my bathtub, but I think that's a normal response. Also, HYV doing anything with playable characters is a novelty, let alone killing* them.

Besides Aventurine, the time you spend with the characters introduced this patch doesn't feel very well spent. You spend most of the first half of the patch chasing Firefly around - a girl that keeps you at arm's reach and is mostly just there to be sad, tragic waifubait - and almost no-one else, and by the time the second half is attempting to serve you mysterious curveballs with the rest of the cast you don't know any of them well enough to give anything resembling a shit.

When Aventurine accused Acheron of lying about being a Galaxy Ranger, murdering Duke Inferno and maybe being involved in Firefly's death, my genuine response was - "I don't know this woman well enough to have any emotions about this, let alone be shocked by the possibility."

Which, in a character-driven Whodunnit of clashing motivations that might make or break a whole planet, is really bad, actually.

My second was - "I can't believe they killed Duke Inferno off-screen he's barely done anything yet", but with a design like that he was never going to be playable. My guy :( Duke Inferno :(

Aventurine has the most personality, by merit of being a smarmy shit begging to get punched, his murder-threat and, again, corpse-bathtub jumpscare. He has unique dynamics with the Trailblazer, Topaz and Ratio, and we understand some of the stakes for why he feels the need to play this game and manipulate us.

Firefly seems to have gotten in over her head with someone (Sam, though I'm assuming her 'mecha' comment was a red herring), but everyone else is a big blank nothing. In terms of motivation that's fine at this stage, but we have two super calm and strong purple ladies that don't reveal much about themselves or emote much, the strangely handled Sparkle who spends most of her time being a) irritating (writing her archetype well is hard) and b) not Sampo, and the.... "I guess they exist" Sunday and Misha.

The Annihilation Gang probably isn't even coming anymore.

I wasn't too annoyed about Robin's death - beyond surprise as, again, playable waifu but given the game was very clearly attempting to endear Firefly to me and their idea of doing that was having her main contributions to most conversations being 'this guy is weird' and 'guess we'd better think hard about this puzzle!' prior to dumping part of her backstory, I came away from that one more annoyed than anything.

Trailblazer apparently agreed with me, given how quickly they recovered from it lmao

*I don't actually believe Firefly or Robin are dead. At the very least, Firefly didn't. Not only did the stakes of dying in the dream world not get established prior to this, it is a dream world. They'll be fine, they probably ended up in the Primal Dreamscape or whatever it is. Firefly's body still being in a doctor's surgery or whatever probably means she's fine.

It's a shame the main plot was boring, because the idea of it seemed pretty fun. As it is, the world we're in has far more personality than the playable characters. I like Penacony itself, I think it's well designed with decent puzzles and some some nice aesthetic choices. But the story has thoroughly failed to grab me, and I have the horrible feeling the quests we'll be picking up afterwards won't have much to do with any playable characters due to the nature of the story.

Due to the nature of this patch basically just being establishing the setting before the actual plot really kicks off, though, the main meat of the actual investigation will be dropping in ... 6 weeks time. Though the problem is that by this point I'm supposed to get you interested in the mystery, and by nature of not knowing many of the players nor caring about Firefly and Robin, I do not.

Also, did they audition for Clockie by asking people to do their best Mickey Mouse impressions, or what?

TØP Monthly Update #158: Unplugged (6/17/22)

So... I'm a little late to the party...

As you all (probably) (definitely) know by now, our band was featured on MTV Unplugged last week for a very plugged-in performance. However, it was still a very different performance, with Tyler and Josh using live sampling and looping to construct new versions of their songs in real time. It was pretty cool!

But since you don't really need me to tell you all this, I figure I might as well give my impressions on each of their tracks. While I wasn't head over heels for all of them, I am 100% behind the band continuing to challenge themselves, find new forms of artistic expression, and discover ways to feature Joshua William Dun on the mic. Hearing him singing while also playing multiple instruments/machines was a revelation. Growth is good, we love to see it!

"Stressed Out"- By the nature of the form, all of these tracks took a little bit to come together. This one probably took the longest to "get going", and I honestly didn't love the direction at first... at least until they stripped back everything for the bridge, which featured a duet. I never thought I'd see Tyler and Josh harmonizing, and there was something really wonderful about seeing my two music idols look into each other's eyes while singing over such a dreamy, soothing arrangement.

"Tear In My Heart"- A gentle, synth-infused version of a true underrated classic of their discography. This one just reminded me that we really need to give "Tear" its flowers; folks forget how much it laid the groundwork for "Stressed Out"'s commercial cement. This version's echoey harmonies made it probably my second favorite track from this performance.

"House of Gold/Lane Boy"- Tyler thinks he's such a comedian, but we all know that Josh is the funnier one. Incorporating the audience into the track in some way (even if they are almost completely covered up by the effects) seems like a really promising step for future shows. I love the rendition of "House of Gold", and I like the idea of using "I'll put you on the map" to link it to "Lane Boy", but it still feels like something's missing from this version.

"Shy Away"- I've seen some people compare this more stripped down version to some Self-Titled tracks, and that's a good thing for me. Love the soulful "I love you"s. That said... it really drags in the middle, the peppier repeat ending is much weaker/unnecessary, and the final impov riff on needing to pad for time is... well, kinda bad? I dunno, maybe it played better in the room.

"Ride/Nico and the Niners"- Love the crowd interactions for this. Tyler's counting methods are confusing; who the hell counts to four? Otherwise good but not especially noteworthy.

"Car Radio/Heathens"- 100/10. Holy hell. I've heard fan covers of "Car Radio" that lean into hard rock potential, but hearing Tyler do the riff and blown-out screaming himself was so metal. While I would never want them to replace the normal live version, I'm begging them to release this track.

In other news, our band is back on the road! The last time they were in Europe, Tyler was recording the superior version of "The Hype" and announcing Jenna's first pregnancy; now he has two baby girls. Time isn't real! They should be taking the stage at Pinkpop in the Netherlands literally as I write this, and they'll play at the Hurricane and Southside Festivals in Germany over the weekend before kicking off the London leg of Takeover Tour starting Tuesday.

But before they did all that, their first show after a brief hiatus was a few weeks ago in BottleRock at Napa Valley. Judging by the setlist for that show, we probably shouldn't be expecting too much different for these other summer shows other than a slightly different campfire medley. If you haven't gotten the chance to check that out, it's a good laugh (shout out to Fookie).

Finally, Jenna shared some pictures of Tyler's new studio, now featuring much more natural light and more personal touches. I don't think that means that we're getting a new album anytime soon, but hopefully it proves to helpful for his mental health while he's in work mode. For now, our band is back out on the road, where they're supposed to be, and I couldn't be more excited for what lies ahead.

CANNIBAL CORPSE AND GORGUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey folks sorry for running 5 days late but better late than never, here's my 9th review of 2023: Cannibal Corpse and Gorguts!!!!!!! This was my 8th time seeing Cannibal Corpse as I saw them play a sold out show at Danforth Music Hall 10 months ago, which was 3 weeks before Walter Froebrich died so this was a bittersweet night since Cannibal Corpse was the last show I saw Walter at before his death. It was also the first time in 14 years I saw Cannibal Corpse at Rebel but it was then known as Sound Academy and it was when they were direct support for Hatebreed, and it was when CC blew Hatebreed clean off the stage.

Let's start the festivities!

By the time I arrived, Blood Incantation were finishing up their set and I remember they were nothing special when I saw them with Obituary and Immolation back in May.

After Blood Incantation it was time for GORGUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was my 2nd time seeing them as I first saw them 9 years ago at Opera House when they were on the Decibel Tour where Carcass were the headliners and I remember Gorguts being awesome. They were incredible once again as they were kicking the ever loving shit out of Blood Incantation and hopefully someday when they return, they'll play a headlining show as they're absolutely incredible live. Here's their setlist:

After Gorguts got off the stage, I went outside the smoking area to skip Mayhem's set as seeing them 3 times live was good enough for me especially seeing them play at Wacken Open Air 2017 when they played all of De Mysteriis Dom Satahanas from front to back since that's the album I like the best and I made a vow to myself "That's the final time I'm seeing Mayhem live because nothing tops this set" and I'm sticking with that vow because the 1st time I saw Mayhem live they were great, 2nd time they were boring, 3rd time they were boring but them playing all of De Mysteriis live salvaged their set for me. This was also the 3rd consecutive Rebel show where I skipped the direct support/1st co-headlining band as the previous two Rebel shows I went to which were Amon Amarth and Behemoth, Arch Enemy were on the bill both times and that was my queue to go out in the smoking area. It did feel great to get caught up with my friends.

After Mayhem it was time for the death metal juggernauts CANNIBAL CORPSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was my 8th time seeing them and as I said earlier first time in 14 years seeing them at Rebel but back when it was known as Sound Academy, difference is 14 years ago they had Pat O'Brien in the lineup and this time around it's Erik Rutan on lead guitar. Also Corpsegrinder was funny once again with his in-between song banters as he said the following for the first one "I just heard somebody say 'Play something heavy' are your fucking ears working or not? I'll show you how heavy my fists are when I'm busting your skull. THAT'S RIGHT I'M FUCKIN PISSED OFF!!!! Listen I wouldn't hurt a soul, but you're a dumbass the same place they're having us. You obviously have no brains. But anyway, how the fuck are you doing besides Mr. Unheavy? It only takes a little bit to make me angry and yell at people. So this next song is for any one of you out there, except for Mr. Heavy because it's probably not good enough for ya. But it's for any of you out there who are probably interested in bangin' your fuckin' heads. TRY to keep up with me! You will FAIL MISERABLY, but you can still try, there is no harm in that. This is a fun little song, about SHOOTING BLOOD FROM YOUR COCK!!!!! IIIIIIIIII CUUUUUMMMMM BLOOOOOOODDDDD!!!!!" Then after Corpsegrinder finished headbanging at the beginning he yelled "I WIN!!!" Before he trolled the crowd with his last song spiel, he tried catching a stuffed animal being thrown at him and he said "Oh what a terrible catch I made" and my pal Stogie pointed out it was karma for him mocking people who dropped water bottles he would throw, but of course Corpsegrinder is not afraid to mock himself. Then he trolled the crowd before announcing "the last song" Stripped, Raped, and Strangled once again especially with him going " Wah, Wah, Wah, Wahhhhhhoh" and then he said before Hammer Smashed Face "I CAN'T HEAR YOUUUUUUUUUU" Here's their setlist:

There's a huge number of people who are really interested in what's happening now Las Vegas is a mess they're fighting clones like madness they're going up when they're fighting in huge droves and in the tunnels in massive massive numbers it is a war and it's on out there it is going on right now it's one of several locations there's a giant giant conflict going on

-another area of concern would be these people bothering our son I'm sitting there bothering him and bothering him and today they said oh it's you John remillard and they found the program part of it and it's not the whole thing and it's not Dan with part of it and he keeps trying to tie in it doesn't work and there's a huge number of people who can't understand what the hell is going on now they get it. And they feel stupid and you just bothering him so they say stupid things like we're going to turn it up and stuff and the sun says we turned it up on you and they say they don't care and they care later and if they're they're kind of useless people still it's amazing we have no backbone and they're dumb it's like their hospital people which is really what they are. Gas and his sister found out to be that way and I'm going after them today and they're falling over and then started saying stupid stuff and getting hit dumber stuff and got hit they said he wrote it with Dave stager and that was it people started going after him to get him to shut up and to take information. My son doesn't even killing yourself the whole time by messing with me. It's true. Large number of people see our son doing it to Tommy Allen maybe cuz it's keeping him up and it gets him out of trouble just call me Alan knows about it he said he was having them do it he's right there and Trump will not stop says he had him do it I already wrote it I'm going to smooth the language and they grabbed off and twice today in the grabbing all these idiots wandering around Dave stater and they're grabbing people in Georgia and DC to apprehend him and they're coming down to grab him his people getting slaughtered. It is a huge huge War that's in Arizona and it's right now is gigantic it's one of the biggest and all people can see is people going in and not coming out and they want Dave stage or dead. We're going out then pretty hard some people are going after Tommy f what they say you got the program he wouldn't be using it because Trump could counter it half of Trump's people are dead from noon to 2:46 p.m. in Florida and 3/4 of them are going to be dead in moments alphabet after dead around the whole world shortly about 2 hours and robots destroyed four warlock armies. Those are huge forces that made up like half a percent of all the more lock all right they haven't lost that many of them in a long time no but it's a lot.

There are other things happening and we are getting to them now

-one of them is that you're still messing with our son badly they've been fighting over this and they're trying to grab them because they know about the robots and Dave and so forth and that's Dave stager and they all want his program I think they can isolate it reroute in his language and all that garbage and didn't do it at all he's a massive loser but they are doing that and we are coming in and stopping them and he does appreciate it and he does need the help

I bought 2 of those self inflating padded sleep mats for the cot and that did the trick. Still having to work on getting out of my new bed.

I will be replacing it with a hide a bed chair, just not here hopefully. This home is a blessing and it also knows it's just a temporary place for us until we get to one better suited for our needs.

We did just pass up the offer of a place twice as big from the same owner, so getting everything done on that end wouldn't be a problem, because the complex is full of kids and we're at the stage of life where we want a retirement community.

Another thing is if there are kids next door things I might have in the garage, like my baby brontosaurus plushie and friends, tend to disappear. I kept the second 1/6 scale dollhouse in my room in my way to make sure it didn't wander off.

PS:Never ever make me watch Encanto, everything I know about it has either been from memes here or against my will and I've already had enough of Lin Manuel Miranda. I assume he's a good person and I wish him all the luck in the world but ask other autistic people and they'll probably agree everything about him is just too "loud" and "much" for us to deal with.

i was talking pretty generally about the whole issue (if you can call it that) as well because like i said i don’t really think it’s my place to speak considering i’m a new fan and i only really understand the feeling from situations outside this specific one and every situation like this is different and what fans and artists go through is different. so it’s definitely not my place to be firmly making any points about it.

i agree with everything you were saying. like i previously it’s just unfair to deny people to feel what they feel - especially if you’re like me and you never lived through it. it’s also unfair to essentially be anti-wonho. i don’t know about you but i’ve seen people who are obviously anti-ot7 be incredibly rude when people bring up simply things like wonho is the one who designed mondoongie and such and that’s not right. you may be okay with not having him in the group anymore to actively want to erase the work he’s put in the group is seriously wrong.

the whole situation is just a little crazy and weird and people are just constantly and knowingly hurting others people’s feeling because they know that saying certain things will hurt them. you can be respectful and understanding on their individual careers and still be on either side but people typically like to play the ‘i’m right; you’re wrong’ game and it just ends in conflict. (because that’s what they’re looking for)

((side note i don’t know what the whole nickfest thing is about either - it just doesn’t quite seem like the right fit for them, their average audience age or their music but considering eshy is notoriously bad at his job this is clearly the best he can do 😒))

yeah the whole situation is crazy and it's mostly the fault of the company and how they dealt with it. (I say this knowing other companies probably wouldn't have done a better job, if not worse. people got kicked out of their groups without any notice for MUCH much less) at the end of the day it all comes down to this whole unwritten policy that isolated wonho for years -up until maybe this year- not just from monsta x but from the rest of the industry. it's the fact that he was treated like an outcast despite being free of all charges and wasn't getting any interactions or promo outside of his won circle until pretty recently that pushes both sides (ot7 and anti ot7 stans) further apart. it's fucking sick.

and this whole lightstick debate has been driving me insane!!!! tbh at first (and before the vlive situation) I was like 'so what? just bring whatever it's not like he's gonna notice from that distance' but after seeing some more arguments around it I'm starting to kind of see the other side's point. like to me it sounded like some mbbs were saying they'll bring moondongie bc they don't have a weneebong and that would make sense bc lightsticks are pretty pricy and not everyone might want to spend that much on them just for a concert, but then I saw people arguing that seemed like had different intentions; showing that they still support "monsta x wonho"... and nope. that does not sit well with me, nor does it make sense. this is SOLO wonho's concert and shoving a moondngie in his face and expecting him to have a positive reaction is incredibly disrespectful. this just makes things more difficult for mbbs who don't have a weneebong and didn't have that intention by bringing moondongie instead. like he definitely won't be able to tell from stage unless ur on the first few rows and if he goes into the crowd for encore u could just turn ur moondongie off and put it in your bag.

honestly i wish more newer mbb/wenees and stan twt were like you!! it doesn't take much to understand that you can't tell people how to feel and you don't need to fully understand where they're coming from to respect their feelings! so thank you <3

He shook his head before you could even finish your sentence and stood up, there was no way that he was going to let complete strangers - well to him, these complete strangers were your parents - into his home again. He got up and exited the room while you groaned and followed him. 'Michael they'll just want to come over for an hour to catch up after we go out and then they will go home. That's it I promise.'

Michael just turned around and watched you silently. You couldn't tell whether or not he was contemplating his answer or just staring at you. 'Please?'

He reached over to the shelf beside him and grabbed a notepad and pen and began scribbling something on the page and showed it to you.

DO THEY KNOW ABOUT ME.

'Nope. You're completely in the clear, Myers.' Michael nodded at your comment and began writing again.

ONLY ONE TIME.

You smiled in satisfaction. 'Thank you.' You went to pull out your phone but you stopped and looked up at the masked man. 'Hey. Promise you're not going to kill my parents.' You heard a soft scoff come from under his mask.

'Hey I have to go, my break's nearly over. Alright, alright, yes I've been thinking about it but I don't know. Yes I know but work is pretty hectic, dad- dad- dad! I have to go, okay? Tell mum that I said hi. Okay, bye!' You hung up and looked over at Bo who was leaning against his truck watching you. Shoving your phone in your pocket, you walked over to him and wrapped your arms around him. 'I'm sorry I keep dragging you out here. Ambrose needs a damn cell tower.'

'Yeah, yeah. Was that your dad again?'

'Yeah. My parents really miss me. You can only put them off with work for so long, you know?' You broke away from Bo and got into the truck and rolled the window down, you had an idea but you weren't sure how Bo would feel about it or what would happen if things escalated. 'What if I let them visit me just once, like maybe for lunch? Then they wouldn't need to see me for at least a couple of months, they still think I have a job that takes up enough of my time.' Bo shrugged and looked off for a moment.

'I mean if you want, but i'm not a chef. Though it'd probably be nice to meet them.' Your head snapped to Bo and the realisation of what he'd just said hit him.

'Wait. . .are you - Beauregard Sinclair - asking to meet my parents?' Bo stayed silent suddenly more interested in his shoes kicking at the dirt, not even trying to look you in the eyes and admit it but he wanted to take your relationship further but didn't exactly know how to. Of course he's dated in the past but his relationships were never that serious and he never got to the "meeting the parents" stage.

When Bo finally looked up you were still looking at him, not trying to hide the smile at wasn't going to be leaving your face anytime soon. He just rolled his eyes and walked around the truck and got in. 'Yeah I mean. . .why not?'

'You're getting soft, Sinclair.'  Bo bit down on his lip to hide his smile and went to turn the truck on but you stopped him and got your phone out. 'Hang on, I'm going to call my dad back. Is Sunday okay?'

'Anytime, darling.' You leaned over and kissed him before getting out of the car and calling your dad again.

Brahms Heelshire

'Okay I'll think about it- yes mother I will- okay- okay- yes but it's late- bye!' You quickly shut your laptop and let you head fall into your hands, a yawn escaping your mouth. As much as you loved your parents they could be a bit of a handful at times (especially when they were constantly asking if they could visit and weren't taking no for answer). A creak coming from ahead of you snapped you out of your thoughts as you looked up just in time to see Brahms peeking his head out from behind the doorway. You perked up and smiled tiredly at him. 'Need something, Brahmsy?'

'Rule 1: no guests allowed.' Of course he had been listening.

'I know Brahms but I miss them. I haven't seen them for months.' you paused and let another yawn out and Brahms walks over and sits down diagonal from you, taking one of your hands into his and caressing it. 'What if they stayed overnight just once? They still think I'm just babysitting a doll so you don't have to talk to them or anything like that. ' Brahms stopped at your offer and looked at you.

'Once?'

'Once. I swear. Then you won't have to worry about them.'

'Only if you promise to come to bed now.'

You smiled at him. 'Of course. I'll call her back in the morning.' and with that the two of you were getting up and getting ready for bed.

Jason Voorhees

A shiver ran through you as you held onto Jason's body, your sweater and the blanket shielding the two of you not really doing much to secure any warmth. The two of you were having a lazy day since there were no counsellors to deal with and no more chores left to do around the camp. You had been wanting to tell Jason that your parents planned on visiting but you didn't want to ruin the moment. He must've been able to tell you were nervous when his hand fell beside yours and embraced it, giving it a tight squeeze. You turned over and gave him a soft smile.

'Hey big boy. Can I ask you something?'

Jason nodded so you let go of him and sat up, he looked up at you worriedly and sat up as well. 'Well you see, I've been speaking with my parents and they want to come visit but they also want to sleepover. Would that be okay?' Jason stared back at you for a moment, hesitating to raise his hands and sign you a reply. 'Take your time, I don't need an answer right away J.'

You got up and tried to leave the bed but Jason pulled you back down and you gave him a questioning look. He brought up his hands again. 'It's okay. I will stay out of the way.' You were shocked that Jason was happy to let your parents visit considering that visitors never got to leave. You went to ask him what made him accept your offer but he beat you to it. 'Anything to make you happy. I miss my own mother too.'

'Okay, what day is- any day right?' Jason nodded and watched as you excitedly dialled your mother's number and waited for her to pick up.

'Y/N?'

'Mom, hey! I got good news, the camp's almost ready to reopen again. Do you and dad want to come visit? Maybe stay the night?'
