Kendra for the reverse unpopular opinions ask game?
She is just so interesting to me. Like she was raised from birth to be a living weapon. Other than a few jokes, its never really explored how fucked up that is. We know how becoming the slayer affected Buffy, in particular, how going from being a normal teenage girl into a monster killing slayer, and her having to balance the normal with the supernatural. But Kendra doesn’t have any of that, she doesn’t miss any old life, because there was no old life. She never even got to be a normal kid, let alone teen. She doesn’t have a family, just a watcher. With how studious she was, it’s not hard to imagine that she read the watcher diaries of past slayers. So she spent her whole life knowing there was chance she would be called and die before she reached adulthood. And she’s ok with that. That’s what she’s made for, fight until she can’t anymore, then pass the torch to the next girl. Like she says when Giles asks who she is, she’s The Slayer before she’s Kendra.
But then she meets Buffy Summers. And Buffy has friends, a family, a boyfriend who is one of the monsters they’ve been trained to kill, and a watcher who allows her to have all this. She gets just a taste of what she’s never had. She starts to open up a little. Gives Buffy the stake that she gave a silly name. If she didn’t die I’d have loved to see her struggle with everything she was taught being called into question. Was it necessary for her to be separated from her family? Is it necessary for her to be alone? (After all the only reason Buffy didn’t stay dead was because she had a friend to revive her.) Does the watchers council and by extension her watcher really know what’s best? What would her reaction be to the Cruciamentum? Would she be able to stay angry at her watcher for everything? He’s the closest thing she has to family, the closest thing she has to a parent. How does he feel about her? It would take one cold person to raise a kid, even one that you’re training to be a child soldier, and not have any kind of feelings, good or bad about her. There’s so much that could be done with her character and it’s a shame she’s never even brought up again after being mentioned once in season three.

Your characters (especially the trio) are so beautifully terrible i cant 😭 if u dont mind can u tell me what are they like in a relationship w MC? Is it possible for MC to act cool towards them once in a relationship? Anyways i love ur world and character building very much:3
(god this is such an old ask, but thank you so so so much for all the love!!! i apologize for getting back to you so late)
i think all four ROs are quite different once in a relationship with MC. i mean, Silos did not fight tooth and nail to get into the Faerie Kingdom expecting to find the potential love of their life there. and the Fae Trio definitely wouldn’t have seen it coming either, them falling in love with MC, since they’ve hated MC from the beginning. it’s also their personalities, you know? Ryzan has had a fixation and slight obsession with MC for years, but that’s not love.
and also!! just their places in the world they’re in right now. like with Silos, finding solace in MC and vice versa due to them being the only humans, family being taken away from them, the hard times they’re going through in general. and then having that reassurance and safety net to land on once in a relationship🥹
Nailea and Zale are so interesting to me too, with Nailea being very cold and standoffish and would rather be caught dead than letting someone see her vulnerable (bonus points for a complicated relationship with her mom), and Zale having such a terrible abusive childhood that turned him into this being that’s so scared of love and commitment, turning to alcohol and loudness to numb that feeling of emptiness … my god i love them all and i love talking about them like this.
anyways, yup, they would all be different one way or another. and some of them need to work extremely hard on themselves if they want to keep MC.
as for MC, yeah, they can act cool towards the ROs once in a relationship! i’m not sure how well the ROs would take it, but MC can definitely do that :D

So I've thought about the food thing actually! Sure all land mammals are gone, but what about marine mammals?
Would whales and dolphins and such still exist? Could a manatee (often called a sea cow) be substituted for a cow for dairy production? Sure it wouldn't be the same, but even us humans make cheese from all kinds of different mammalian milk!
And we know that there are some animals that just, didn't evolve sentience so maybe some of those could fill the niche of farm animals?
At the end of the day it's still pretty bizarre, but it's actually quite fun to think about!
Marine mammals are as Dead as land mammals are. If we'd seen marine mammals such as whales anywhere, it'd for sure been the Splatoon 3 story mode (where they were hinted at LITERALLY THE ENTIRE TIME just for that to be a red herring and then there was a Whole BEAR in there which is like 10 times worse).
As far as i remember the only information about whales we've gotten (not counting logos and other prints) is in a jamstec collaboration website where a whale fall is pictured and they're said to not have been seen in a LONG TIME or something which does heavily imply that marine mammals are extinct - as does the whale skeleton at Shellendorf Institute and the notion that mammals, well, are extinct. (The whale fall is a nod towards the deep sea and for context, that WAS related to Octo Expansion's release, as whale falls are seen in some octo expansion levels).
Even though that text could be hinting at whales being some kind of secret society (which would've been a really good Return of the Mammalians plot) and could theoretically still happen. But point is, mammals being extinct includes marine mammals. Especially with how much stress the game puts on Judd (and Lil Judd) being the ONLY existing mammals, it would be strange if the earth was actually still full of mammals and no one just felt like counting them. (MARINA'S NARWHAL LANDLORD IS LOCALIZATION JUST THROWING THAT IN THERE B4 SOMEONE BRINGS IT UP. THANKS NOA)
Anyway as for the animals that didn't evolve sentience, that is more than likely happening, though the more "feral animals" we see in Splatoon the more of them are Literally Just Fish But It's Not In Water (which is disappointing sorry. why do the eels float in the air). With that though the food chain exists in Splatoon and worryingly, "not being sentient" isn't even a REQUIREMENT for being used as food in the splatoon world (see: hunting of Salmonids for their meat and eggs). You just have to be on bad enough terms lol. Anyway most of the time when you see meat served in the game it IS some type of non-sentient lobster or shrimp or fish, and Inkopolis and Splatsville are honestly kind of bad environments for figuring out what they FARM, because they're both so close to the ocean it's very likely that all of that is ocean-caught aquatic animals... so tl;dr we actually don't know if the splatoon world even has factory farming for meat animals like we do, or if they just deal with fish and/or wild hunt. i'd honestly like to know! (we don't really know of any bigger animals in Splatoon aside from like, the zapfish. and that's got a much better use than food)
in further regards to food, this is extremely morbid, but canonically some species of sapient fish DO still produce hundreds of eggs and we don't really know how their society works to accommodate that, so... there is a very distinct chance that especially outside of civilization nothing is really stopping guys literally eating each other. the food chain exists. and cephalopods are extremely low on it

what your thouget on ashoka finale and live action rebels?
I mostly enjoyed the season! I have a few gripes with the finale but it had its moments.
I thought the first 4 episodes were excellent! Those first 2 at introducing (or re-introducing) all the characters. I especially loved Sabine's introduction. The end of episode 4 was the high point for me - seeing Ahsoka wake up in the WBW and be greeted by Anakin!! So good!
But I did find the next episode a bit of a let down. It was cool and all seeing Ahsoka and Anakin clone wars flashbacks etc, but I don't really know what the point of it all was? I get that she was meant to have been 'reborn' as she started wearing white and crossing her arms less after, but she didn't seem all that changed or different? And all the stuff she went through in WBW was never mentioned again.
Baylan and Shin were awesome! But definitely underdeveloped. They were so fascinating and I wish we'd gotten more of them.
It did feel like Ahsoka wasn't really the main character in her own show. It was more about the Rebels and Thrawn's return, which is basically a sequel to Rebels (so why not just call it that?).
The finale was fine. Enjoyable. Just a bit underwhelming. Didn't really care much for the Morgan and nightsisters. The lightsaber fight scenes were a bit meh. Of course Thrawn was going to return, setting up the next big bad of the Mando-Verse. Ahsoka and Sabine were left behind - obviously they'll make it back at some point (so they're most likely planning a second season). Ezra made it home!! I'm super bitter they cut the scene short before he and Hera hugged. That was another issue I had, they kept cutting scenes just as something interesting or an important character moment was about to happen. The end with force ghost Anakin watching proudly over Ahsoka was a nice way to end the season. It just didn't really feel much like a finale? It's probably to set up for S2 or the movie but I just wish it had concluded things a bit better.
As for the live action Rebels:
Sabine - Natasha Liu Bordizzo is fantastic!! She was so great as Sabine! Crossed over seamlessly into live action. I'm not sure how I feel about her being full on force sensitive now - I really didn't think thats where her story was going? But she played it all really well regardless.
Ezra - Eman Esfandi is PERFECT!! He embodied Ezra perfectly. The way spoke and moved was straight out of Rebels. He absolutely nailed it!
Hera - I thought Mary Elizabeth Winstead did great with what she was given! She just seemed a little flat sometimes. It could've been because the makeup/prosthetics were limiting her performance, or maybe thats just how she was written? Idk.
Jacen - ADORABLE AND PERFECT! Seriously he was so great!
Chopper - Nowhere near enough screen time!
And we didn't see Zeb. Or Kallus. C'mon they could've given us a small cameo at least?

You know...even the live action Scooby Doo movies from the 2000's were MUCH more enjoyable then the crap that Hollywood throws at us now. Those people who worked on the LA Scooby Doo movies totally went all out!
They were a little bit bad in some ways, but at the same time they were so charming. And they weren't trying to be edgy, or anything more or less than the source material. They set out to strictly make a live action Scooby Doo, and they did.
I also think that Scooby Doo is a better candidate for live action than many things that have been adapted as such recently, because of the "monster of the week" nature of the show. Most of the episodes were unrelated, unconnected, and rarely referenced each other, except to sometimes mention old cases. But there wasn't a huge overarching plot to drag the pacing down and detract from the main focus, aka whatever case they were currently working on.
That's why I personally found the Mystery Incorporated reboot to be severely underwhelming. Definitely my least favorite iteration thus far. They focused too much on a "big" mystery instead of just. Ya know. Monsters. And they added too much supernatural element. I'll get into why the live action one gets a pass for that later, but the original cartoons and the What's New Scooby Doo phase only ever winked at supernatural realism. Like the cornfield episode where the creepy cat disappeared except for its red eyes at the end. But it was never really taken super seriously.
The live action movies came out to do their own thing and they set the bar from the get go. So sure, we're having Scrappy Doo try to eat Scooby's soul and the gang gets their bodies all swapped around, why not. They kept the tone consistent with the original material and that's what matters. And you didn't have to watch the other movies to understand whichever one you were watching, much like the original monster-of-the-week setup of the series.
Mystery Incorporated tried too hard to be dark and gritty, yet it still pretended it was being faithful to the original. But they reduced all the characters down to the most one dimensional cardboard cutout caricatures of themselves, taking one trait and blowing it up into their whole personality. Fred is a dumb jock who knows nothing but how to make traps. Velma knows nothing but books (and also she's a controlling emotionally abusive girlfriend now??). Daphne is overtly obsessed with Fred and that's her whole personality.
And then they tried to add an overarching plot in the background of each season. They imply that its similar to the cases they've solved this far - ie realism - but just a bigger threat pulling the strings. They're never ever clear of what is supposedly going to happen. Some vague and generic bad guy is planning something. What something, you might ask? What is the culmination of three seasons of insulting material and vague hints? Maybe a real estate scam? An inheritance scheme?
No. Quite literally out of nowhere at the end of the last season, they go through a portal into a shadow dimension and a whole bunch of people get eaten by a shadow demon that can only possess talking animals (for some reason) and it wanted Scooby but only managed to snag some pathetic bird. But it still wants Scooby tho! Anyways the shadow demon is literally consuming their town and the people in it (including the gang's parents cause yeah let's give the kiddies some nightmares) and somehow the power of friendship defeats the shadow demon but also sends them back to an alternate reality like Back to the Future and they all have really cool, better lives now. For some reason.
Honestly, it was insulting that they tried to even call that a Scooby Doo show. If they had made original characters and done their own new thing it would have been kind of interesting. But nah. Just something else where you can tell the creators hated the original material and were determined to twist it into what they wanted to watch instead of being faithful to the source.
The movies understood what they were doing and they didn't try to make it something that it shouldn't be.

For 'Just Out Of Reach' do you find any inspiration from anything in real life, besides the actual Sanders Sides series itself? I'm just still amazed by how well everything flows and goes together!! :)
I do actually!
As I've mentioned, I really don't know much about horror, so Just Out of Reach is super out of my usual comfort zone. Idk what I'm doing but I am so delighted it flows together!!! A few things have influenced the fic!
Actually, my original inspiration was Wandavison! I loved the unsettling Wrongness, the disturbing fakeness, the scared protagonist knowing more than they let on, and the pretend happy family life! Though I think JOoR (terrible acronym but spelling Just Out of Reach gets old fast on mobile) has surpassed the terrifyingness of Wandavison. My original notes are actually labeled 'Wandavision Inspo'
An inspiration that came later on was the 'Don't Hug Me I'm scared' series! I didin't discover this until I was about half way through what I've got so far, but it definitely influenced how I decided to portray the gore and creepyness. I already had all the scenes mapped out, but it really helped me develop that extreme feeling in the later chapters.
Outside of that, I don't have much direct inspiration lmao. Again, not much horror experience here.
I guess my dreams are a source of inspiration. I'm kinda known for having extremely surreal, horrifying, disturbing, complex dreams where I sometimes feel confused and disoriented as everyone else tells me I'm normal, so I think I've drawn some inspo from that.
Also my own childhood! Also my own depression (oof)
Aaaaaand that's about it. The rest of it is just me sitting around for a week thinkin 'how can I make Patton even more traumatized??' and then acting on it. But with symbolism there too.
Patton is an underrated gem for angst and inner conflict and Depression™ and I am here to provide. He's not even mr favorite side. I just like giving him the depth he deserves in the fandom. I also really like father figure characters, so he's perfect. Even in Low Battery I randomly decided I needed to write an 8000 word chapter about Patton angst and parent-child relationship, because he deserves it :)

giving older bsf toji a bj cs u dont have any money on u for gas 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫
oh mi gosh. dis is absolutely so filthy ‘nd absolutely perfect for him . dis is how grimy he is in my mind.. (modern au where toji is RICH $$)
“toji.”
“hm, darling?” you look upon the questioning man sitting besides you, one strong hand that guides the steering wheel of your own car. he insisted to drive, and in what position would you say no? you’d never pass up an offer to be passenger princess.
“i-i forgot.”
“forgot what?”
“forgot money for gas, toji.”
“are ya dumb sweetheart? goin’ t’get gas n the one thing ya forgot is gas money?”
“‘m s-sorry toji, can you lend me? please? promise i won’t forget next time!”
he scoffs, knowing well that he would’ve paid nonetheless. but watching you nervously scramble yourself together, anticipating a response from him is too adorable, he thinks.
“yeah, but ya gotta pay me back.”
“course i will! gonna give it back as soon as we ge-“
“no sweetie. not with money.”
your head turns slow to the man, already shooting you a evil-intentioned smirk. his free hand comes down to scarce over the evident bulge that pokes through his sweats, indirectly instructing you.
“with your mouth, honey.”
he chuckles when your face flushes red, how unexpecting.
with over 3 years of close friendship, the man had assumed that you at least would’ve noticed; his stares that pierce into your skin, touches that linger a little too long, and the constant absence of your favorite panties. what a naive little thing you were; he loved it.
if you didn’t know his true intentions then, you’d definitely know now.
“c’mon, y’want me to fill it up right?”
“t-“
“the tank sweetie. the car. don’t you want gas?”
you huff when he chuckles at your flustered expression. your small fingers dance across his bulge, his own hand messily slipping under the band of his sweats, releasing himself. he can’t help the smile that spreads across his face when you gasp, fawn like eyes that immediately shoot up to meet his gaze.
“s-so big..”
“mm, you think so?” he teases.
his hand slithers to the back of your head, fingers playing with one or two strands of your hair.
“c’mon, be good..”
he smiles at you coyly, desperate even, and it makes your heart and your cunt clench.
with slight pressure from the man’s hand, you find yourself lowering onto the tip of his cock. your puffy lips press against the warm slit, an immediate groan that spills from his lips,
“no action recently?” you tease, facing him with a slight smile,
“shaddup princess. yer lucky you’re cute.”
you snicker, separating your slicked up lips to wrap around the thick of his cock head. your tongue presses against the slit once again, tasting the sweet substance that coats his dewy slit; more that spews from the teasing licks.
“don’t t-tease.”
you hold yourself further onto his cock to accommodate his length, a light gag that elicits from your throat. tears brim in your eyes when you feel your jaw begin to ache, but the needy man pays no mind when he begins thrusting into your warmth.
oh and when he feels a warm tear fall onto the skin of his thigh, he nearly cums.
“heh.. there you go, see? ya can do it.”
you hum around him, the light sensation that drills right through his sensitive cock.
“g-gunna cum. shit.”
and with a few shallow thrusts, his cum brims. it’s warm, and thick, but you swallow without a second thought. you pull yourself off to meet your eyes with his, vision daisy and face flushed with a sweet pink once again.
“hah.. gonna have to fill you up, darling. we’ll worry about the car later, kay?”

the third semester of p5r is wild if you think about it from sumire's perspective, and that's without even getting into the whole sumire/kasumi thing.
imagine you wake up one day and the entire world's a little bit fucked up for some reason. you see a building flickering in and out of existence (the same one where you awoke to some crazy JJBA stand powers, except last time it wasn't visable from the outside). so you call your friend/crush (??) because he knows more about this shit than you do, and he shows up with the idol and ace detective, trademarked 'pleasant-boy' goro akechi?? for some reason??? but hey, if he knows about the metaverse then that's good enough for you. he's a nice enough guy anyway but then you get INTO the metaverse, and his outfit is the edgiest thing you've ever seen, and the moment you get into a fight he's releasing what looks like years of pent up rage by screaming and laughing maniacally while absolutely tearing through shadows. and hes flirting (?) with your friend/crush (??) the whole time
but while he's literally calling your friend/crush (?) a loser and an idiot straight to his face, the meanest thing he calls you is a scardy-cat. he never refers to you by your first name and always uses the honorific '-san,' even while he's yelling. he commentates on every one of your kills like a deranged and zealous sports commentator. you think he respects you (???) youre not sure

I'm glad nobody's questioned why Sunset's personality is so different in the AU, but I'll explained anyways. AU Sunset basically has Tempest Shadow's personality. I decided not to adapt Tempest because too many redeemed villains, she doesn't play an important role in the overall story, and her broken horn is so cool and unique to her as a unicorn that any adaptation wouldn't do it justice. So I fused the two together. Sunset's backstory and hotheadedness with Tempest's tired, jaded, anti-social disposition and fighting skills.
Anyways, I hope it's not too jarring of a change. The more I develop Sunset, the more you'll probably notice how OOC she seems. I'll probably end up adopting Sunset into an OC once I'm done with the AU, since she's basically a completely different character.

Big Mama must have lost some serious standing in the yokai underworld because it’s gotten apparent that she keeps being beaten by a small group of teenagers and the occasional rat man, and when it’s not them then she’s taking L’s from her own schemes working against her.
And in the ensuing power vacuum, the Hamatos accidentally become the most feared crime family known to all the big bads of the Hidden City.
After all, they’ve publicly outplayed Big Mama multiple times, a couple of them have taken out the heads of two of the most well known criminal organizations, one took out Heinous Green, two are responsible for the destruction of Witch Town, they have ties to both the infamous Baron Draxum and Captain Piel, they won the Doom Dome death race, they’re Battle Nexus Champions, they’ve displayed insane feats of power and defeated impossibly strong enemies, most of them have been to jail, and they regularly mingle with humans.
You can just imagine the notoriety they’d accumulate from word of mouth alone.
