I’ve been rewatching the first 2 seasons of SVTFOE with my love.

This show use to be one of my faves along with Steven Universe and Gravity Falls. I’ll never forget when I first watched Battle For Mewni, and after finishing it I really thought Star Vs would have went down as one of my favorite shows.

I kinda wish for a reboot of this show someday, as silly as that sounds. It definitely had a lot of potential, there was some dropped storylines that I’m so curious to have seen what they would have done with it. I think they really could of had something good, but I do think tying monsters vs humans to real word racism, was a choice 😬 (to be fair I think it’s much more pushed in the latter 2 seasons)

Despite anything we are glad we are rewatching some episodes, I forgot how much it meant to me back then, that I can’t help somewhat feel the same way again. It also made me love Star and Marco as characters again, and made me remember why we did like these characters so much in the first place. S3 - S4 Star and Marco on the other hand, I don’t know them. To me the show’s ending is Battle for Mewni, with some little extra episodes after that. Those episodes being Club Snubbed and Demoncism (Yes it’s because I love Tom he’s my fave, and I love Tomstar, although I will always believe this show should have ended with implied polyamory with Marco in the mix.)

If you're still up for some happy prompts, I just finished rewatching SVTFOE so how about a startomco date? (maybe first date?)

Blue you really made me rewatch Friendenemies again to be able to write this, it's been a million years since I watched Star.

I'm tempted to also rewatch the whole thing sometime but I don't want to go through the pain of S4 again. Gah.

"Did we really have to have our first date on the fiery cliffs of Eternal Falling?" Marco shouted over the wind. He dug his fingers deeper into the rock, feeling soil crumble under his white-knuckled grip. "We couldn't do something normal like go to a movie?"

"It's not like this was the plan!" Star shot back. She was struggling to reach her scissors, down on the sliver of ledge under her feet. If she leaned too far forward, the wind would catch her, and she'd fall.

"To be fair," Tom shouted from Marco's other side, "we do seem to get along best when we're in imminently life threatening situations! This may be the best first date we could have had!"

"I'd still prefer the movie!" Marco's voice was plaintive. He wasn't sure the other two could even hear him over the howl of winds coming up from the bottomless cliffs below them.

"Ha! Gotcha!" Star's fingers finally seized the edges of the scissors. "Whoa!" She reeled forward for a moment, at risk of tumbling off the cliff. Marco let go of his death grip on the rocks and flung an arm in front of her, pressing her back into the cliff face. For a moment, both of them swayed, Star's weight and the wind on his arm at risk of ripping them both off the mountain. Tom reached out and seized Marco's shoulder with one hand, holding him steady. After a tense, breathless moment, Star found her balance enough to open the scissors and rip them through space. Immediately, the three of them tumbled through the portal, falling from the cliff out of Marco's ceiling and straight onto his couch. They landed in a dusty, windswept heap and let out a simultaneous groan.

"Okay," Marco panted. "Sunset incomparable to anywhere else in the multiverse or not, I'm not moving from this couch for the rest of the evening."

"I have to agree a movie doesn't sound terrible," Tom said, breathless, flicking fire worms off his clothes to sizzle on the carpet.

"Oh, fine," Star said. "Movie night it is. I'll get the nachos."
