Cultures: Totem Poles of the Northwestern Native American and Canadian First Nations

The phrase "low man on the totem pole" was coined by a White man in the 1940s to mean a person with no respect, status, or power. He clearly did not consult the Natives who carve the poles. They honor the figures they represent by immortalizing them in precious old-grown red cedar. Each member of the totem pole is significant, but the one on the bottom is often given the most reverence. They are the one who holds up everyone else; they are the one who starts the story.

Prophecy And Symbolism of The Domestic Silk Moth

Whether the Domestic Silk Moth (Bombyx mori) appears in dreams, visions, waking life or synchronicities, it is a sign and message that you are valuable. It is a prophecy and confirmation that you should not allow others outside of the divine will for your life, to dictate your worth. Whatever service you provide know that the worth and demand is about to skyrocket. People who have walked away and rejected you will return to only witness you being booked solid to where, in order to access you they have to pay three times the price. The Divine says to continue your journey.

A swift shift is occurring. You will experience monetary miracles. The Domestic Silk Moth is symbolic of wealth, good things happening, and also release from a tumultuous time. Pay attention to where your thoughts are. Not every thought that enters your mind is from God. You have to discern if what you are experiencing is evil intentions and projections from others or if it’s part of your own collective. The Divine will never promise a thing and do it in the opposite direction. Stay the course. Things are suddenly getting better. The veils are falling away or they’re being lifted off of you.

The Domestic Silk moth is symbolic and prophetic that it is time to enjoy the luxuries of life instead of just making ends meet. Keep away from negative and low vibrational people and environments. Release what is no longer of service to you and thank it for it’s presence and it’s departure.

For a time has come, where what you need quickly shows up. What you want is easily accessible and you will experience chance opportunities. Whatever concern you have right now, consider it already done. The Divine is sending in the power and authority of Moses for those who have stood against you to let you go, and if they don’t your ancestors will stand behind your releasement and your angels or guides. A war would be waged until you are freed. The Domestic Silk moth prophecies a season, decade and lifetime of provision that is so supernatural, it is almost unbelievable.

If Debt has you, it must release you. If enemies are holding onto your destiny, they must release it. If negative habits are holding onto you, then they have to go. Rise up warrior, it’s s a time of redemption and favor like, you have never seen.

Modern Magic: Dream walking.

The practice of dream walking can be observed in many cultures, and is recognized by modern science as lucid dreaming. Though experiences differ greatly from person to person a few factors do remain constant, such as the waking world around you influencing the appearance of your dream world.

There are many ways in which dream walking may be achieved such as the totem or bracelet methods, both of which use items in the real world to help you differentiate between reality and dream by means of object permanence. Once achieved the state of dream walking can be used in any number of ways, and as one might guess having control over your dreams grants you access to a vast array of abilities like manipulating your surroundings or flight. Although it can be easy to get lost in fascination, dream walking has been used successfully throughout the centuries to explore oneself and the world around them by tapping into the subconscious at a higher level; often thought to be spiritual or ethereal in nature.

Sometimes mistaken for other realms of existence, experiences within these dreams can range from uncanny to indiscernible from reality, so no matter what method is used to acquire the ability the use of a totem is always recommended.

Happy International Arthur Appreciation Day!

Listen, I'm predictable and basic. So, to celebrate International Arthur Appreciation Day, I cross stitched his totem, to create a matching pair with Eames' poker chip.

The finished piece is 14 count aida in a seven inch embroidery hoop. I used DMC 23, 666, 816, 817, and white thread.
