Well ladies and gentlemen after 7 months of being in the worst place possible. I finally made it :). I’m a United States Marine. It’s been a struggle, especially mentally but I feel a lot stronger now. I got hurt in training and had to stay extra long but all worth it in the end. I may not look very feminine now but I am a very proud woman. Also wtf happened to the world while I was gone.😳

shit online sucks, everyone’s so serious about everything. whatever you joke about that’s any more political than abject surrealism becomes the new rhetoric once it’s popular. it’s like an inherent flaw in online modes of communication and identity building. like “all men inherently suck” jokes don’t really feel like “jokes” on a platform overrun with t3rfs who consider trans women to be evil rapist men and trans men to be confused lesbians taken in by the evils of transism turning them into ugly awful men, either.

So... I've been thinking lately about something I heard on relation to trans folks. About how there seems to be a difference in the development of the brain in that a trans brain resembles more of the brain of that person's gender and not the one that was assigned to them at birth.

Now, this causes a little bit of a controversy surrounding the debate on "what makes someone trans", mostly because of stigma. But let's be honest, transphobes will weaponize everything. If there isn't a difference, they'll say trans people are crazy and delusional and that it's a mental illness somehow. If there is, they'll say that it's prove that it's a mental illness, ignoring the fact that neuro-divergences aren't the same as mental illnesses.

So, for the sake of this discussion, let's ignore those assholes and the stigma they've enforced on everyone. We start by agreeing that, regardless of whether or not transgenderism (is that the correct word?) is a neuro-divergence, it is not a mental illness and trans folks aren't delusional. Alright? Alright.

OK, so studies suggest that trans women have women developed brains and the same is for trans men and men's brains!

What does it mean? Is transness (again, what's the right word?) a neuro-divergence? I mean, it sounds like it. That's not a bad thing at all. It would just mean that the brain of a trans person develops different from a cis person. Just like AUTISM! YAY!

That's one of the points I want to tackle, but first I wanna ask about nonbinary genders. Do we also have different brain development? I have found nothing on the matter yet, but I've done surface level research so I might just be not looking hard enough. But if that is the case, how does gender work? Like, if gender is more than social, what is it for? Or maybe is just a random occurrence? Like AUTISM!

OK, now I'll talk about it. People with autism or Asperger syndrome are more likely to be trans than neurotipical people. That, or our struggles with social norms makes us be more outed than NTs. Everything is possible, except for it to be a mental illness. And I started to wonder, would there be a relationship between the two?

I mean, if in both cases the brain develops different from what it's expected to the point of changing the way that person sees the world and themself, it would make sense that there's a big overlap between transism (is that even a word?) and autism.

It doesn't have to be a direct connexion. Maybe it's just that they're both neuro-divergences, or not. One of them definitely is and the other one, by my very little and new understanding, might be. I'm just thinking about it and I'm not sure how these ideas connect if at all.

But one thing is for sure, transphobes aren't worth listening to.
