GIFT ALERT!! GIFT ALERT!!

Okie my fellow beautiful and handsome flowers; I have finally been able to draw something lately and it’s a gift for a dear best friend of mine, @projectanimations !!

Lately I have been seeing that they have been up and down in their emotions and I wanted to make something to cheer them up. And I finally did make something! I decided to draw the engines that they like but from my AU!

I haven’t drawn 3 of these babies in a while and I feel good having to draw them and the other one is the first time drawing him off the Gacha style I did of him lol.

“Yes, Edward?”, his driver replied.

“What are these white patches on my face?”, he asked. “I remember seeing this on a passenger a long time ago, but I never really knew what they were.”

“I think you have vitiligo”, the driver answered, starting to become a bit nervous, thinking that Edward didn't like how he looked. “It’s a rare skin condition that causes white patches to appear on someone's face. I know it might look... disturbing at first but–”

“Why would you ever say that?”, smiled Edward. He caressed his face as he gazed at his reflection in the hand mirror. “In my opinion, they look rather lovely! Don't you think?”

Here's some facts about him:

(IN MAIN AND HFOD AU) Edward has a terrible habit of trying to cope with everything by himself.

(IN MAIN AND HFOD AU) Edward, as joked by everyone, has 8 children: Thomas, Percy, Bill, Ben, Lady, Neville, Charlie and Phillip.

(IN MAIN AND HFOD AU) Emily is one of Edward's old friends (yes that means she used to work in Barrow-In-Furness)

(IN MAIN AND HFOD AU) As told by Emily, in her and Edward's younger days, he was as stubborn as Gordon, and as cheeky as Thomas. This made him rather maddening at times, but he was also quite the charmer. Edward never told the engines this and doesn't like talking about it. He cringes so hard at it.

(IN MAIN AND HFOD AU) He and Thomas share a similar “cheeky face” :]

(IN MAIN AND HFOD AU) Edward helped Percy become more clever and confident after Duck’s arrival. Along with this, he helped Percy figure out his Auditory Processing Disorder. This shows in Thomas And The Magic Railroad Edward And The Magic Railway.

(IN MAIN AU) Lets just say his patience ran thin after Mattel created “All Engines Go”.

(IN HFOD AU) He couldn't see without his glasses when he turned human(oid). Yeah they aren’t reading glasses.

(IN MAIN AU) Edward has no record of going on strike. Except...

(IN HFOD AU) His hair is the most grayed out of the main 8. And he has 2 streaks of really white hair. He forms the “White Streak Trio” with Henry and Gordon.

Head canons for ttte characters I don’t like

In my human AU, Neville has a bug collection, I mean, look at this guy and tell me that he hasn’t had a bug collection at some point in his life! He even looks like a millipede for goodness sake! If I ever do a monster engine AU, Neville would be a millipede type creature

Also, I can easily imagine a younger him going up to Rebecca with his newly acquired GIANT VIETNAMESE CENTIPEDE and be like “hey cousin! Check out my new pet!” And Rebecca freaking out because Neville is holding a GIANT VIETNAMESE CENTIPEDE with his bare hands and he just goes, “but he’s friendly! He won’t bite! He’s just a baby!!”

It takes a long time for a nonfaceless to need glasses or contacts, but it happens quicker with diesels and steamers with q face right under the cab, like a j70 or a class 35, and is only just a bit slower in locomotives with "noses" or smokeboxes, but this is also taken into account on how long blindness will take depending on the length of the nose or the smokebox from the cab.

Locomotives and stock that use contacts probably are running services that are faster and is more likely to cause wind to be blown in the face. This applies to engines like Gordon, Neville, James, Henry, and many others.

Slower engines like Glynn or Steven use glasses, and Toby with his wife, Henrietta (when those 2 aren't speeding down the mainline at 60mph.)

Real quick question.

If you would use any hit era or cgi character in your series who would it be?

Ok, so this is an interesting question, and it's a hard one to answer because a number of the HiT and CGI characters are blank slates, I can press any characterization onto - so I'll run through a few I have considered for my ERS series:

Molly: she made it in! She's the only HiT era character who managed to sneak through the net, and that's because she's one of the few HiT era characters I felt had an interesting character (and design) and that gave me plenty to work with. You can read her spotlight book here.

Neville: I was sorely tempted when I was writing 'Searching for New Engines' to drop him in as a last-minute pickup. I even toyed with him replacing Emily in that particular book or being added with Murdoch. But I didn't in the end because I just didn't have much to say about Neville. I may change my mind and drop him in as a cameo, but otherwise don't expect him too soon.

Rosie: Rosie and I have a... turbulent history. I've never liked her as a character, and her CGI reboot never clicked with me either (it was the weird valentine's day thing). However, I did consider having her cameo at least once in 'Salty the Dockside Diesel Engine' due to her connection to both Salty and Thomas - her class somewhat replaced the E2's in Southampton, and then along came Salty and the 07s and replaced both.

Samson: he also made it in! Samson stars in one story, because he was built by the same company as Neil and has a similar shape, making it feel like he could have also been an S&MR engine. You can find his story in 'Neil the Boxy Little Engine'.

Den and Dart: Could be fun, but most likely as a cameo for diesels who live on the mainland (possibly at the NRM? I'm not sure).

Ryan: I have yet to decide where I fall on whether or not Ryan makes an appearance. He's a cool engine - and I like him, which is surprising for a CGI character - but at the same time, I must admit that it sort of felt like he was just a new version of Stanley to me. He may still appear as a cameo in a future story though!

Stanley: I already have a Stanley in the series, and it isn't the silver tank engine, though he would be one of the more interesting ones to have around for the weird one-sided rivalry Thomas has with him.

Paxton and Sidney: Another pair who may or may not cameo. I will say that there have been a number of Class 08s who make background appearances in 'The World Famous Engine', and you could headcanon them as one or both of the pair.
