Double Isekai - Chapter 8

Okay, back to getting this updated. I'm really enjoying having a backlog, even if it is just a few days. I'm seriously thinking of just pausing all updates until I get, like, a full month's worth or something. Maybe do a chapter a week for 26 weeks...? Not sure, but this is nice.

Summary:

Ranma finally gets some alone time with all her girls in one private place...and promptly has a meltdown.

Notes:

There will be some off-screen sexy times. If this were an anime this would be the episode that guarantees it'll never see a broadcast release. This isn't porn, but it's edging (heh) pretty close to it. I didn't start this fic with the intent for smut to be in it, but I won't shy away from the characters behaving as teenagers that're hot for each other do. If that bothers you, back button on your browser is the solution to many of the Internet's problems, please use it. And speaking of the sexy times, yes. This did escalate quickly. That's on purpose and done for a specific reason. Hang tight until chapter 9 for how it impacts the story.

Akane could tell that all three of them were sensing Ranma was a coiled spring. Once they were in the relatively lower light conditions of the inside of the Saotome house, the redhead ushered them into seats in the living room and she then set about closing all the blinds and drapes to all the windows before yanking the flimsy plastic shades off her face.

"Alright," she said as she tossed them on the end table near the door, "I'm gonna go make lunch. Everyone okay waiting here for a bit while I go do that?" she waited for all of a couple seconds before turning and heading into the kitchen. "Great! Be back in a few, make yourselves comfortable."

Akane, Ukyo, and Shampoo sat in silence, giving each other looks that they all recognized as containing the exact same concerned thought, What's wrong with Ranma?

While they had all come here with the understanding that they would be discussing the odd four-way relationship they were embarking on, they were quickly realizing they were about to have a bit of a trial by fire that would show how far they already were on that path.

Shampoo cast a glance between Akane and Ukyo, then toward the kitchen. Ukyo just shook her head and then looked pointedly at Akane. Akane gave Ukyo an uncomprehending look and shrugged. Shampoo gave Ukyo an incredulous stare only to be met with a slightly raised hand as though saying, 'wait,' then almost glowered at Akane before tilting her head in the direction of the kitchen and nodding her head in that direction twice.

Akane, finally deciding to play along, rolled her eyes and stood, almost gingerly making her way into the room she was generally always banned from.

Ranma stood at the counter, her back to the rest of the room. She clearly heard Akane come in as she turned just enough to communicate she knew someone was there but not enough to allow that someone to see her face, "Hey 'kane, sorry it's takin' so long, tryin' t'figure out what to make with two sets of taste preferences arguin' in my head for what works best for lunch. I'll get somethin' soon, promise. Go sit back down."

Akane may not have had much time or opportunity to get to know 'New Ranma' as much as she wanted to (and she was realizing more and more she really wanted to), but if she were dealing with 'old Ranma' she'd have said the almost barely perceptible tightness in the girl's voice was her holding an extremely tight rein on her emotions. She'd seen this Ranma overflowing with love and affection, blowing her top in anger, venting her frustrations, and laughing readily...but the girl was holding something back now.

Akane didn't slow her stride, moving in behind her fiancée and wrapping her arms around the smaller girl. A tiny, whimpered, "...no..." escaped Ranma before she hunched over, curling up on herself awkwardly. This helped the yen drop for Akane, her mind casting back to what felt like a lifetime ago but was only a handful of days when she first laid eyes on this girl. She'd seen Ranma, not knowing the Ranma she had known was gone from the world for almost a full day by that point, curled up on herself in nearly this same manner. I wish Nodoka had shown us...shown me how she dealt with this... "Ranma..." she almost whispered.

"I'm so awful," Ranma squeaked out, "I'm an impostor who stole Ranma's life and I'm pretending to be her...gods, what if I just...rewrote who Ranma was? What if I just put my own pain and dysphoria into Ranma's memories before we merged? And...and I'm s...s-seducing you...y...you should leave." A sob tore from Ranma's throat, "Leave and save yourself from me, please. I'm not right, I'm not worthy of any of you, please...go..."

Akane was panicking, but managed to keep it internal. So much about that seemed...wrong. There were lies in that statement, everything that came out of Ranma's mouth just then was thick with them, but Akane was honestly at a loss to pick out the falsehoods from the truth simply because she didn't know enough. She didn't know how the isekai worked, she didn't know the life of this other person that joined with Ranma, and she didn't know what caused this... 'spin out' from the playful, aroused person that had managed to ease Akane's own concerns to the fragile, broken girl in her arms.

"Ranma...you're the smartest person I know," Ranma snorted wetly but didn't respond otherwise, "You are! I think even Nabiki is a little in awe of you and your mother right now. But you're also very good at explaining things, so please," she pulled Ranma close, hugging her gently, "Explain this to me."

Ranma sighed, a little bit of a shudder shaking her, "I...my other life I was...it took me..." she sighed, scrubbing her palms over her face, a gesture that Akane was starting to find endearing. "My stepmother, she was...so evil. I know it's a trope and all, but she was absolutely uncaring, cold and vicious. She hated men, but she loved fucking men. She wanted a man who she could control, and she snuck her way into my dad's life...but that's too long of a story for right now. She wound up in control of me and my sister, and for years of our life she dictated...everything. And when she came home one day after work and caught me trying on some of her clothes and using her makeup," she shrugged and leaned back a little, finally letting herself take some comfort in the arms around her, "I was already too big for my sister's stuff...I mean, she was two years younger than me. As soon as we both hit puberty I rocketed up in height. She wasn't far behind, but she never did get more than...what, five-eight? Five-nine? I was six feet...sorry, I was nearly two meters by the time I was sixteen. So I had to wear my stepmother's stuff 'cause she was shorter than me, but she was wider in the shoulders and hips than my sister, so her stuff actually fit...well, not the shoes. Always did have a fucking hell of a time finding shoes..."

Ranma shuddered, turning just a little, almost snuggling into Akane's hold, one hand gripping Akane's sleeve, "She found me wearing her stuff and I found out that as much as she hated men...she hated men who wanted to be women more. My life became a... a web of lies and psychological torture. She gaslit me so bad..." Akane must have unconsciously made a questioning sound because Ranma paused, "Oh, sorry, she created a double-lie. She'd lie about something...I had to get my homework done to get dinner, but when she decided I was lying about finishing my homework she'd deny me dinner anyway, then later told everyone that I refused to eat her cooking and her proof was that I didn't eat dinner. It's called gaslighting and it's specifically meant to make the victim question their own perception of reality." Akane could imagine a few people in her life capable of such a thing but was sufficiently horrified at the very idea that she felt confident that such an act hadn't been done to her, thankfully.

She hugged Ranma closer, which prompted the girl to continue, "And, I mean, you said it, I'm smart. I started figuring out her games and her methods and her motivations and..." Ranma suddenly jerked, not like she was jumping away or trying to get out of Akane's arms, but like her whole body just reflexively quaked with nowhere to direct the energy. "And sometimes when you study the devil, you become the devil."

Ranma seemed to just sag against her after that pronouncement. Akane was starting to understand, at least, she thought she did. It was like when Ranma had tried to talk about the ten-year journey. There were too many little things that made up the whole of the picture and if you focused too much on any one part of it you lost sight of the whole of it. Ranma had, to use the redhead's own life as an analogy, just told her about falling into the cursed spring, but there was so much before and after it that went into who Ranma was now.

This was technically intended for the prompt for the 26th but then my body decided to punish me for the fact my otome husbandos cannot get me pregnant sooo I adapted it.

Almost Lover

Prompt Sneaking out of a pool party Otome Brothers Conflict Ship Tsubaki x female OC (ok, I’ll admit it, this is a poorly disguided self-insert 🥹 as if I could get away with this specific brand of a n g s t in front of my friends. She isn’t named tho) Warning It spoils a circumstance between Azusa and Tsubaki (it takes place in a hypothetical future at the end of the summer after Azusa’s route) and something about Hikaru. Also, if you played Olympia Soirée, this is your TW, f l a s h b a c k s. Well, one. Still, it was our collective trauma of 2021.

- A Fine Frenzy

Her moans sounded like she was far more into it than I was. I looked back down at her, her long hair a mess on the pillow, a different colour than Ema’s and, yet, it was hard for me to truly see her. I could feel her hands tightening around my arms when I thrusted, her hips moving to meet the hit, all her muscles tensing and releasing when it counted. How many lovers had she had to be this good? And, yet…I just couldn’t help but think that I would have rather felt Ema’s inexperienced first love instead.

I didn’t feel guilty, although maybe I should’ve. She came to this hotel after I drunkenly told her all about how Azusa always takes everything I want from me. I wonder why. I’m sure she doesn’t lack any opportunities with guys. I was so distracted by my thoughts I was finding it hard to come. She smiled at me. It was a soft smile, the kind Masaomi has for his patients. Dammit, now I truly have gone and killed the mood. I was so angry with myself I went at it even harder.

Well, at least she likes it. Unless she is faking it. No, she isn’t, surely? It’d be too hard to fake those spasms. Well, whatever. She pushed me over the edge at last and I rolled over by her side. She didn’t try to make shallow conversation. I just stared at the ceiling for a while. She got out of bed and headed for the table, her beautiful figure almost ethereal in the moonlight. For a moment I wished I had met her at any other time but this. She deserved more than the half-assed fuck I gave her.

She returned to bed with a bag of gummies with a kawaii character or other and offered me some. “Thank you ⭐️” I tried to be my usual cheerful self, she didn’t buy it.“You’re really mad at your brother, huh? I’m so sorry…I hope you feel a bit lighter now. Your smile lights up the room, but it’d be even more beautiful if genuine…” “Why do you think I’m mad at Azusa?” “You went really hard at it, like a raging bull, and you had no reason to be that angry at my vagina…” I did not reply. I took another gummy from the bag and lowered my head on her shoulder like I always did on Azusa’s.

“So that’s the infamous Azusa?” she was looking around the garden trying to piece together my family. “No, that’s Natsume. Azusa has dark hair and glasses. Do you not read magazines?” “I buy them if you’re in them?!” “So you should know what Azusa looks like!” “He’s your twin, he looks like you but not as good. As does that guy”“Yeah. We’re triplets…fine, I forgive you” I stole a kiss and took her hand, finally walking out into the garden and making our presence known.

We may have walked two steps when the menace that are two of my older brothers descended on us: Hikaru and Kaname, one teasing me about how fast I moved on from being in love with Ema like everyone else, and the other pointing out that with a girlfriend as pretty as mine it was understandable, what wasn’t is what she saw in me. I pouted: “Hey, that girl’s magazine voted me the hottest seiyuu this year” everyone laughed, even Ukyo nearby chuckled behind his hand, trying to hide.

“The real question is how she puts up with his personality” I could have recognised that voice among thousands speaking at once.“Azusaaaaaaa ⭐️” I turned around and hugged him. “How does it feel being the mistress?” Hikaru asked my girlfriend.“It’s fine. The doujinshi sell like hot cakes…” she was joking…right?Kaname did not miss a beat: “If you ever need to offload your pain, I’m a good listener…”

I turned their way, my arms still around my twin, glaring. Azusa smiled gently: “You must be the girl nobody believed was real. Thank you for taking good care of my brother, he’s a lot of trouble but please continue to take care of him” Why is she not denying the accusation? I’m no trouble. “Is Ema not with you?” I asked Azusa. It was the first time in a long time that we were all in the same place at once, as I had left Sunrise Residence to move in with my now girlfriend when they first got together.

“She’s playing in the pool with Wataru” he replied. There was some awkwardness between us for a moment. I had never really addressed that I had moved out because of them even though he and I had been joined at the hip for most of our lives. My girlfriend noticed, as perceptive as ever, and changed the topic: “Won’t you introduce me to everyone else?” “Okay ⭐️” I finally disentangled myself from Azusa and took her around to my other brothers, and my mother and Rintaro-san who had, by then, arrived. Mother gave me a knowing look, before dropping a metaphorical iced bucket on my head: “I’m so glad to have a second daughter to dress up.”

My girlfriend looked at me with questioning eyes and I tried to change the subject. It was true that we lived together, even with all the risks involved for me if the tabloids found out, and that I never took a girl home to meet everyone, but our circumstances were more complicated, and our relationship far shorter than everyone thought.

“Oh, if it isn’t the first daughter” Mother’s attention shifted to Ema, who had now joined us too. I felt my hand being squeezed as I forced my brightest smile and turned towards the girl who had broken my heart. I could overhear my mother talk about how beautiful it would be if we had a double wedding. I tried to block her out of my mind, as Ema was as sweet as ever, complimenting my girlfriend over being as beautiful and glamourous as Hikaru. Ema was right, I thought, as I watched her gracefully accept the compliment. She was unlike other girls I had ever met.

“Tsubaki, will you show me to the bathroom please? I need to powder my nose…” Ema tried to volunteer, but I made the excuse of needing to go too so that I would be the one. As soon as we were out of sight in front of the bathroom, she hugged me: “I’m so proud of you”“What for?” “How you handled seeing the girl that broke your heart and the brother who helped her do it…it’s painful to see someone you love with someone else, and have to act like you’re happy for them when maybe on some level you are but your feelings are more complicated than that…”

I looked at her, her eyes earnest. Did she think I was still in love with Ema? “It’s true. It was so painful seeing Kaname and Hikaru flock to you like that” I replied. She looked surprised. I kissed her, opening the door behind her and walking us into the bathroom: “Did you actually need to go?” I asked her, not thinking through what I had just done.“No, I wanted to speak to you in private…”

“Good” I smiled, and locked the door. I lowered my voice to one of my acting voices, the one I used for ikémen, or as she called it my seme voice: “You need teaching a lesson. You mistakenly believe I am still in love with Ema no matter how many times I do this to you…” I kissed her, pulling her skirt up to her waist and realising she was wearing a one piece swimsuit. Of course. I used one hand to move it to the side, so I could use the other one to tease her.

She leaned back against the cabinets, relaxing at my touch. I knelt down in front of her. Gosh, I wish it was a bikini so I could pull it down…I had to hold the swimsuit out of the way instead of using both hands to play with her. I am latine (mestize centroamericana) and desi (jain)! I speak spanish fluently, though my dialect is an odd mix of central american, caribbean (by proximity to lots of dominicans and boricuas), colombian (from medellin specifically), and repressed old lady (it’s because of a curse in my family it’s since been broken don’t worry). He hadn’t ever found the right timing. Something is always in his way; hunting, the work Senku gives him, somebody talking to you or him, etc. There just was no opening. At least, that’s what he tells himself to make himself feel better, but deep down, he knows he’s being a coward.

Everyday he watches you walk around, talk to the others, and he admires you. He admires you deeper than any friend would, respectfully, of course. Every time your lips curve into a smile, he just can’t help but smile too, and maybe blush a little. When you talk, he listens. He can always pick your voice out.

And luckily for him, in this situation, he can pick up on others voices well too. When the sound of Gen telling Senku that he’ll confess he’s got feelings for you tomorrow, his heart drops.

He thinks about backing off and letting Gen go after you, as he just doesn’t want to step on anyone’s toes. But, it eats away at him. He just can’t stand the thought of watching the two of you together. And, unlike him, he impulsively rushes to find you.

He knew you went up the mountain for some materials, so he quickly follows the path he’d often take with you when he tagged along. After a while, he gets to the top of the mountain.

He regrets his decisions immediately when he sees you sitting on the edge of the hot springs, unclothed. You haven’t noticed him yet, and he doesn’t know what to do about that.

Walk away? Make his presence known, possibly embarassing you? Wait and if you notice he’ll be pinned as a creep?

Luckily for him, you look up and meet his eyes. Quickly, you squeak and hide yourself in the water. Ukyo apologizes, but awkwardly approaches.

“Um… sorry, but may I join you?” He’s not meeting your eyes anymore, and he’s definitely blushing, but the heat from the hot springs below where he’s standing cover that up.

You nod and turn around so he can take off his clothes, and you wait until you hear him get in the water before turning around.

“Why’d you come out here?” You ask, leaning against the stone wall of the hot spring. Your arms are up on the wall, pulling yourself up a bit, so the water is barely covering your breasts now. You don’t seem to realize, but he gulps hard, trying to keep his thoughts respectful and in line.

“I was looking for you.” He answers, much too quickly. He realizes he shouldn’t have said that. This was a rare time that he doesn’t think through his words, and he has a feeling it’ll come back to bite him.

“Oh, really? Why’d you come looking for me?” You tilt your head a little, brows furrowed a little in confusion.

“You went out alone. I was just coming to help out in case you needed anything.” He says, not looking at you for most of it, but smiling at you at the end. “It’s safer together.”

You nod, and then it’s silent for a little while. Ukyo mentally weighs his options, and realizes he’ll just do it now, against his better judgement.

“Y/N, can I tell you something?” He asks, already feeling like a high schooler confessing his love. It makes him chuckle a little bit.

“Hmm? Sure. What is it?” You hum, smiling.

“Y/N, I have feelings for you.” He says sternly, and your heart jumps and skips about 6 beats.

“Ukyo, I have feelings for you too.” You blush, smiling at him.

The two of you inch closer to each other slowly, and nervously, your lips meet softly. And maybe it’s the heat from the hot spring, or maybe something else, but the kiss heats up. He doesn’t mean for it to, but he’s half hard and already affected by you. It’s not like you’re much better, practically drooling over what you could see of his body.

So now his hands carefully dare to go lower than the water line, and your hands boldly feel up his chest, abs, and hips. You don’t dare to let your hand go any lower.
