It might be tempting to run to the water's edge at a rocky beach, but please keep in mind that these tiny friends are usually hiding under the rocks you might step on 😬 🦀⚠️
If you stay still long enough, they come out to dance 😉

Mini sea stack off of Highway 112 complete. 11"×14" oil on canvas with fluorescent green acrylic base. . Photo reference for this piece came from my family's trek to the Washington coast last month on our drive to Neah Bay. Here, suddenly upon us, was this beautiful scene of our goal in miniature that we drove by. Not too much of a shoulder on the road to walk on, so collecting photos between the road edge and cliff was an adventure - as always! . . . #whidbeyislandartist #pnwartist #pnwart #artadventure #popart #popartlandscape #washingtoncoast #seastack #expressivepainting #landscapepainting #oilpainting #timothyhaslet #hasletstudio https://www.instagram.com/p/CpD2zyuSK9T/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

“The snow is falling, the nights come early, and Burning Rock still stands. You’re listening to Burning Rock Radio…”
Late one night in the deepest, darkest part of January, Ivy Romeo sits alone in a college radio studio, playing music and talking out into the void to anyone who might still be listening. She’s about to wrap her show and head home for the night when she happens to look out the window and see a face—a face that has haunted her family’s dreams for years.
Only days after arriving in the slightly creepy coastal college town of Burning Rock, Ivy begins experiencing vivid dreams about malevolent ghostly figures and something else—something ancient and all-consuming living beneath the troubled ocean waves. It isn’t long before those dreams begin to bleed into her waking life.
At first Ivy is determined to ignore it, but when her best friend disappears, Ivy realizes she’s going to have to put her own sanity on the line if she wants to find Sam and save her town.
“…And, Sam, if you’re out there, we all miss you and hope to see you soon.”
