Okay so how would the ROs reaction to MC being asked out in front of them..? (crushing stage vs. relationship stage)

Hello! I think the closest was the flirting one, but they’re still pretty different.

Crushing:

Welling: The first thing I think of are the *internally screaming* memes lol. Welling would stand stiffly, a polite smile frozen on their face as they bounced their gaze back and forth between MC and the other person. They wouldn’t feel as if they had any right to get involved no matter how much they wanted to.

Venali: They would immediately walk away. Venali doesn’t even want to hear the MC’s response. It would only end with them feeling either frustrated with themselves or ready to kill someone.

Trivelyn: At first, utterly flabbergasted that someone could so easily ask the MC out, and with an audience too! They would soon feel out of place and politely excuse themselves from the conversation.

Em: They’re locked in. The initial plans to flirt and tease the MC has now changed course to ‘ruining this person’s time.’ They’re asking questions: where do you plan to take the MC? Oh, that place? That’s certainly a choice. Well, how did you and MC meet? You have a class together? Ah, you must converse often then. No? I’m sorry to say that your interest comes across as quite shallow.

Anle: It would be very inappropriate for anyone to try and ask the MC out right in front of Achia’s leader and they would tell them so. The edge in their tone could very easily be mistaken for general annoyance with the lack manners.

Relationship:

Welling: Chuckles in a confused manner. There’s no way that anyone even remotely familiar with the MC wouldn’t know that they are in a relationship with Welling, not with the way Welling is nearly always touching them in some way. But still, Welling states it clearly in a ‘no harm done’ sort of way as they wrap an arm around the MC’s waist or shoulder.

Venali: Takes it as a threat. Immediately they’re stepping in between the person and MC, facing them with a dangerous glare. “I could crush every bone in your body to dust with a thought. Don’t you fucking approach them again.”

Trivelyn: “MC and I are in a relationship,” they say easily. They expect complete understanding, no additional comments, zero arguments. It is a simple fact that the person should accept and leave.

Em: A sharp smile would slowly form on their face. A long stretch of time would pass before they spoke: “Now that you have had a moment to consider what you have done, I will give you exactly one chance to right your mistake.”

Anle: Would lean towards the other person, their pale eyes unblinking. “Is this a challenge?”

one of the most infuriating things about becoming an adult is when you realize that it actually is 10x easier to solve problems by making a phone call vs literally any other communication method

my family is fucking addicted to macgyvering and it's becoming a problem. every time something in this house breaks, instead of doing the sensible thing of replacing it or calling someone qualified to fix it, we all group around the offending object with a manic look in our eyes and everyone gets a try at fixing it while being cheered on or ridiculed by the rest.

it's a beautiful bonding activity, but the "creative" fixes have turned our house into a quasihaunted escape room like contraption where everything works, but only in the wonkiest of ways. you need a huge block of iron to turn on the stove. the oven only works if a specific clock is plugged in. the bread machine has a huge wood block just stapled to it that has become foundational to its function. sometimes when you use the toaster the doorbell rings. and that's just the kitchen.

it's all fun and games until you have guests over and you have to lay out the rules of the house like it's a fucking board game. welcome to the beautiful guest room. don't pull out the couch yourself you need a screwdriver for that, and that metal rod makes the lamp work so don't move it. it also made me a terrifying roommate in college, because it makes me think i can fix anything with enough hubris and a drill. you want to call the landlord about a leaky faucet? as if. one time my dad made me install a new power socket because we ran our of extension cords

#this post was inspired by me using a screwdriver to take the broiler off the wall because the warm water stopped working #while my dad went well there is only cables in there. who are we if we dont find our ways around some cables #damn right!!!!

You guys rlly don't realise how much knowledge is still not committed to the internet. I find books all the time with stuff that is impossible to find through a search engine- most people do not put their magnum opus research online for free and the more niche a skill is the less likely you are to have people who will leak those books online. (Nevermind all the books written prior to the internet that have knowledge that is not considered "relevant" enough to digitise).

Whenever people say that we r growing up with all the world's knowledge at our fingertips...it's not necessarily true. Is the amount of knowledge online potentially infinite? Yes. Is it all knowledge? No. You will be surprised at the niche things you can discover at a local archive or library.

i appreciate the attempts a lot of game devs are making with gender neutral character creation, and i appreciate that it's actually a very difficult task to implement that depending on the game's base code. but it's so funny to me when you hear an uproar because some game has "entirely removed the gender option from character creation!!!!!" so you go to check it out and its just like
