Dream, like every proper boyfriend, steals Hob’s hoodies. 

It started with Hob getting him one, just because he thinks Dream would like it. He does. A lot. Now, when he’s in the dreaming and not doing anything in particular, he wears it. 

But it doesn’t end with that singular hoodie, oh no. You’d think that if Dream was going to steal Hob’s hoodies, he’d do it while visiting his flat in London, right? Wrong. He does it every time Hob has a dream that plays out in his room. So Hob would be dreaming about whatever, and then Dream just- pops up. Opens the closet (pun intended). Snags a hoodie. And fucking vanishes. 

And then the next time they meet the fucker is wearing that same damn hoodie. And Hob is just like. You know that if you wanted it you could’ve just asked right.

But Dream sees no problem, since Hob isn’t actually loosing any of his possessions when they’re taken in the dreaming. The problem arises when Hob is having a wet dream. And Dream just fucking shows up. And now there are two Dreams in the room. And then both of them just steal a hoodie and fuck off to whatever else they were doing. And now Hob has to dream something else up because he doesn’t have a boyfriend to fuck anymore.

Ok, hear me out: Good Omens Human AU: WWE professional wrestling.

Has anyone done this yet? Ok, here is my stream of consciousness:

I imagine Crowley to be the high flying, heartbreaking, stunt type character. Like a Jeff or Matt Hardy, or a Shaun Michaels. He’d be the young newcomer breaking out into the business, gaining massive popularity, adored by the fans and potentially the new face of the business.

Aziraphale would be a more established, professional, and experienced performer. He’d been old school, like a pure striker, but also maybe slightly flamboyant like a Ric Flair or Dusty Rhodes. He’d be initially skeptical of Crowley’s character and disapprove of the suggested changes to the business. He doesn’t want to move with the times and stuck in his golden era ways.

Plot points:

Enemy to lovers - Aziraphale would be annoyed with the idea of Crowley being “the new guy” not playing by the rules, but over time comes to appreciate what he can bring to the business and also admire his immense talent. Crowley would be annoyed with an “old” fuddy duddy unwilling to move with the times or diversify for the sake of the business, but comes to appreciate Aziraphale’s experience and encouragement and what he can learn from him.

Road to Wrestlemania - obviously they’d have to face off in the main event as their characters would continue to be sworn enemies.

Secret relationship - this would develop and deepen over time, and they would be terrified of it being revealed and breaking kayfabe. How could they possibly overcome the media and scrutiny. Possible themes of homophobia could be explored.

Alliances - Crowley would probably be part of some sort of team dynamic involving Beelzebub and maybe Shax and Dagon. Some kind of demonic themed characters.

Overcoming injury - Crowley might suffer a possible career ending injury, either sustained through interference from another jealous wrestler (Gabriel or Hastur?), or protecting Aziraphale from a dangerous move, or from Aziraphale failing to perform a choreographed stunt correctly. Each possibility would lead the subtext of the story in three different directions so not sure which would be best?

Bittersweet ending? - I imagine that either they would get to maintain their relationship but one or both their careers would end. Or they would keep their careers in tact but the relationship would end.

Yesterday night I dreamed that I watched a very different version of the Star Trek reboot of 2009. Well, actually it was the sequel, I guess, but anyway: In this timeline, the death of George Kirk somehow led to James Tiberius Kirk now being Jane Tiberia Kirk who was played by Jodie Whittaker, actress of the 13th doctor. And she kinda was the 13th doctor, characterwise...?

So in this universe, Kirk grew up on another planet for a while on which the Enterprise and her crew take shore leave in the beginning of the movie. Spock is still together with Uhura at this point, however, you realise that Kirk is unhappy with it. ( I remember thinking something like "Oh, of course, now that Kirk is a woman, K/S becomes canon!" )What the folks on the Enterprise didn't realise, however, is two Aliens having infiltrated the ship who want to destroy the planet below to take revenge on Kirk for something she did in the last movie.

Forgotten some plot here, but somehow, Bones and Scotty figure out the Aliens's plan and do some sci-fi-mumbo-jumbo to let the bomb explode on space, however, they don't get it high enough before the timer ends and somehow, Uhura dies during the explosion, or she sacrifies herself for the people on the planet, I don't remember. This leads to Spock absolutely loosing his sh*t and Kirk runs after him, but Spock tells her off because she could never understand his pain, for she never let herself be bound to anyone. After that, Jane lets him go and goes to her quarters where she looks at a picture that shows her, but younger, in a romantic embrace with another woman, in the background the scenery of the planet below. Kirk sheds a tear while looking at it.

Anway, Spock starts to wreak havoc on the planet but hasn't hit anyone yet. (?) Jane beams down the moment he draws his phaser and throws herself in front of a child to save it from the shot. This leads to Spock getting sort of "anti-blood-lust" so that he becomes normal again and he takes the injured Kirk to sickbay where Bones heals her. Spock and Kirk confess their feelings for each other and Kirk is like " what, but I thought you went crazy because of Nyota" and Spock is like "Not out of love but out of guilt, for my Katra had long since belonged to another one" and they kiss. I think. I remember my last line of thoughts before waking up were something like "Yeah, this feels like a movie from the early 2010s...."

Anyway, after this I do not feel that giving up fanfictions for lent had the desired effect...

I just want a dreamling fic of Hob getting Dream to do terribly human and mundane things. Sometimes Hob's just inviting Dream to do something he was already going to do. Sometimes Hob realizes Dream hasn't done something boring human thing and wants Dream to do it so bad. Sometimes Hob doesn't know whether Dream has done a boring human thing before but he just wants to see Dream doing it. It'd be so cute if whenever Hob doesn't have access to something, upon becoming better and better at navigating the dreaming, he just dreams up the situation there.

—OKAY WAIT THIS LITERALLY JUST FLEW INTO MY HEAD!!! Okay, you know how wives sometimes go with their husband's to golf courses and they literally just sit in the cart. CAN YOU IMAGINE— Dream's with Hob at Hob's place of work and Hob's coworkers/work friends invite Hob to play golf with them and Hob agrees for whatever reason and then Hob's work friends invite Dream along too and Hob didn't even think about it but now he NEEDS Dream to go and Dream reluctantly agrees. In true wifey fashion Dream shows up in full golf attire like he's going to play but just sits in the cart the entire time. I think it could be hilarious.
