I’m working towards getting a teaching degree so I’m currently observing students in a high school, and it only took me three days to catch something.

I messaged the teacher I’m observing this morning to let him know I wasn’t feeling well, and he said he also ‘wasn’t feeling so hot’. Time will tell what I caught 🤒

Headcanon: When you fall sick

On typical days, the ‘G’ in ‘Gavin’ stands for ‘gorgeous’, ‘gentle’ and ‘glistening abs’

But whenever your safety or health is concerned, the ‘G’ in ‘Gavin’ turns into ‘Giant Worrywart’

Which is why you’d rather not tell him that you’ve recently caught a cold

Unfortunately, you’ve been struck by a stubborn bug which refuses to go away despite a week of working from home rest

Your attempts to stifle your coughs and sneezes around him have been getting more and more difficult

Gavin naturally senses that you’ve been acting a little weirdly (such as pausing abruptly during a conversation or refusing to share food with him) but doesn’t think too much into it...

...until you start to run out of excuses on why he can't kiss you on the lips e.g. “Sorry, someone’s calling me”, “I just ate mackerel so my breath smells funky”, “My lipstick will get smudged” etc.

After you reject his dinner invitation for the nth time, he decides to swoop in through your balcony with a bag full of your favourite flavour of ice-cream and snacks

Gavin: Are you… avoiding me? Did I do something wrong? 🥺

You try to explain yourself but end up releasing an explosive cough which almost gives Officer Gavin - who doesn’t flinch at the sound of gunshots - a heart attack

He immediately tucks you into bed before tucking the ice-cream and snacks into the fridge and cabinet respectively

While he’s prepared to take a few days off to take care of you, you know that Evol crimes never stop and insist that he should at least be on standby should anything urgent crop up

He reluctantly agrees. In exchange, he makes you promise not to work over the next few days. Otherwise, he’d bring all the ice-cream and snacks home (๑•̀д•́๑)

He’s extremely attentive to your needs. Whether it’s preparing honey lemon water at the ✨perfect✨ temperature, cooking bland porridge filled with the seasoning of love or helping out with the household chores, Gavin’s mission right now is to nurse you back to health

But Gavin didn’t account for the fact that doing the household chores includes handling the pile of laundry in the bedroom... and your lingerie

His flushed face makes you think that he might be the one having a fever instead

Offers to sleep on the bed with you but you threaten to kick him out of the house if he does because you’d feel terribly guilty if you accidentally infect him with this nasty bug

So he spreads out a mattress beside your bed instead

And watches in jealousy as you hug a plushie to sleep

Before he turns the lights off, he makes a quiet wish (as quiet as the secret kiss he leaves on your forehead) that you’ll recover soon 💙

Im so incredibly sad to hear of Catherine's diagnosis (tears in my eyes as I type). Nobody deserves this and I truly hope she will be ok and live a long, healthy life. I'm so scared we are going to loose her and I know it seems silly but I just want to see her become queen and grow old with William the love of her life. Her family don't deserve this pain. Im not a religious person and I don't believe in prayers and this can make these times a lot scarier. But I have to hope that what will be will be and she's got the best team around her. Unfortunately with cancer this isn't always enough and the powerlessness of it all is probably what makes me feel so sad. I may need to step away for a bit and live in reality because sometimes being on social media in these situations is the worst thing we can do. This news has affected me greatly and I need to also protect my own mental health.
